Lesson on the topic of Preparation to "Life in the Ten" Convention

1. R. (00:26) We also need not forget that the main thing is connection. Even though it seems like it is an exercise for beginners, it's not like that. Through the connection we reach all the degrees and if we cannot hold the connection correctly we fall and we have no chance to ascend and discover the upper world. 

2. S. (01:14) We said that the first rule is that the Creator is first, and it cannot be otherwise. How do you work with this rule?

R. That any place that you want to understand something or reveal something you need to put the Creator as the first, in action and thought in anything.

S. In life we see that man comes first.

R. In our life that is why this is life that the Creator created them in an opposite way so we can reach him in the correct way.

S. How should I work with this rule that the Creator is first? If I don't get up let's say I did not set up the alarm, so I don't get up. If I don't prepare myself for the convention, how do you work in such a way that the Creator is first?

R. How to learn that the Creator is first? That is only from the Kabbalah books and afterwards through the friends we hold on to that in each and every moment as much as possible and above that.

S. In other words everything that a person does he does for the Creator. He places Him as the first.

R. Yes, that is what needs to be.

S. When I get up for the lesson when I come to the convention whatever I do is for the Creator?

R. Yes 

Reading Excerpt 3: (03:05) “There must be ten at once…”

3. R. (03:44) Yes, that is the condition that first we need to reach a structure that ten parts which are strangers are willing and wanting to come closer. They understand that that is our purpose to connect as one.

Reading Excerpt 4: (04:09) “Israel are not redeemed by affliction...”

4. S. (05:02) It seems clear what he says, that ten people who are sitting with each other, he explained that sitting is about annulment sitting they surrender themselves. What does it mean that each of them will be reading and learning with his friend and then their voice is heard?

R. That they are all talking, each one is talking to everyone, and they are connected in such a way and then their voice can be heard. Their common voice can reach the Creator.

S. What are they saying to each other? It's internal so what is the speaking?

R. What they learn in the Torah, what is the question?

S. Maybe there is no question it is not clarified.

R. Okay. 

5. S. (06:08) I wanted to ask this matter of 10 Kabbalists keep repeating, that you have to have ten. What does it mean that bodies become a Ten?

R. That is what we are accustomed to. That we counted according to our bodies because in our bodies whether we understand it or not, in our bodies something happens that belongs to a person himself. When the Ten connect together it's a proof that they want to come out of themselves and connect together.

S. In the first part of the lesson you said that besides prayer there is nothing a person can do because the body always objects and if something is given the Creator gives it. Where does the connection come from? The implementation of connection over the Ten how does it happen?

R. That connection happens through the upper light when they study together and talk about it and understand that they need to be connected and only by the connection between us between them, they can reach the condition that the Creator can bestow a fulfillment to them called the upper light.

S. The study itself enters the connection? What brings us to connection? What makes ten bodies have a connection between them?

R. No, that is not why the wise who studies. It is not the matter of connection like children in the kindergarten holding their hands, it is connecting the hearts that in that way they want to be connected into one heart. They have one reason and one goal and then themselves they want to be connected together. It is not simple. You need more and more to get inside a person and see as much as his nature is against that. Still when I try to connect on their degree, on their level, they try to do something. According to that they can also raise themselves and the Creator connects them.

S. What is their action? What is the action of those Ten?

R. They do everything they can to be connected. Obviously, they do not succeed but the Creator as we say the Creator finishes my work.

S. Is the connection also a gift from the Creator or is it not a gift?

R. Connection is a gift from above.

S. How do we make the Creator give the gift of connection?

R. Make efforts towards that and you see that you can’t, and you pray, and you cry, and you beg and then the Creator performs it for you.

S. How do you depict connection? How do you know what to yearn for?

R. Connection.

S. What is it?

R. One man with one heart that everyone wants the same thing as much as they can understand that same thing between them every time it is according to their degree. 

6. S. (10:32) How does a Ten tend to a friend that was subdued right now by the necessities and he cannot participate in the congress?

R. If he can't he's discharged.

S. But what should the relation of the Ten be and how should the friend relate to it?

R. The friends must think as if he is between them and with all the efforts in the heart and soul bring his image supposedly to be between them.

S. How should he relate to it?

R. That he needs from all his desire as much as he is tied under some conditions to still want to be between the friends.

S. Should we relate to it as an exercise that maybe he can participate in?

R. No, no exercise, we take it as a Ten as something alive and realistic. You don't play with exercises supposedly. 

7. S. (12:01) Can it be said that the right desire that the Ten aims for is to be in one desire with a common vessel, common Kli?

R. Yes, of course we are yearning for the same goal for the same state. We are going through all those states each one and every Ten and everyone together. That is why there is nothing to be divided here. One man with one heart in the end we reach the degree called Adam HaRishon.

S. A Ten that wants to direct itself correctly that wants to come to the Congress should aim to be together with the whole Kli?

R. Yes, it is no doubt.

8. S. (13:06) We have been to dozens of congresses all over the world and it was always that I come to the congress, and I try to incorporate in the congress. Now there's a situation that my Ten is coming to the congress. It is no longer me coming to the congress but the Ten. What is this new feeling, a different feeling when I come as a Ten? How do we come as Tens?

R. That you're already ready and connected in the Ten and that you are coming to the convention as one unit and in this way you join into the convention.

S. Should my desire be different when I come to incorporate as opposed to when my Ten comes to incorporate?

R. It is only on a bigger scale.

S. Shouldn't I make an effort to be incorporated in the whole congress, but my efforts should be.

R. With your Ten to incorporate in the congress.

S. With the Ten to incorporate in the congress. Thank you.

9. S. (14:39) What does it mean to be as a Ten as one?

R. The Ten as one means that you all want to complete each other and through the connection between you reach a state that you are all as one. It is like an exercise. Eventually we all become one. One receives one.

10. S. (15:25) Many people say that the Creator hears their prayers. What is the difference between what they say and what the Creator hears from their prayers and we as a Ten saying what the Creator hears the prayer of the Ten?

R. I don't know why we should care what is happening there? We are studying and according to that trying to connect together Ten as one. Then 10 Tens become one and then more until we all reach the term Adam Echad, one man.

11. S. (16:13) You said to the doctor that everything is the Creator that we have to prepare ourselves for Him if we don't have an opportunity in this convention you said you are in fear to the other Congress, so in fear I'm asking how do we not miss bringing contentment to the Creator?

R. Increase your fear.

12. S. (16:50) This process where the Ten becomes one as you said and then all the Tens becomes one, is this a gradual process?

R. Yes, it is a gradual process of gathering people into Tens as individuals in the Tens then the Tens become individuals into a greater connection of Tens until we reach a state of one man.

S. At the Congress how can we try to go through this process?

R. We will go through it. We won't go through that process; we only have to think about our Tens. Then we will connect in that space that volume that we feel exists between us. The final goal is still distant on our behalf but to think about it, to talk about it, to discuss it we need to. 

13. S. (18:24) The friends have already started coming here for the mirror congress and there is great joy from the friends who are coming. I have a question. There was a deficiency and now there will be a mirror congress and I am beginning to be happy because of all kinds of physical events when the friends are coming physically and there is a desire to bring contentment to the Creator in this congress. How did we not become confused by these two joys?

R. There's nothing to be confused about what you are doing for the friends the Creator feels it that is what brings him joy and that is what fulfills him.

14. S. (19:24) You said that being one means completing the friends, how can I complete compliment my friend? What does it mean in practice?

R. That means to join her and depict yourselves as existing as one man with one heart.

15. S. (19:49) Besides prayer there is nothing to give. In this convention we will be exerting social articles and connections. What is the place of the prayer?

R. The place of the prayer is in the heart, and we need to connect in the hearts in a way that it becomes one heart.

16. S. (20:17) I heard you said that we have to reach to come to one goal in the Ten. How is the preparation for the congress? Do we come to have one goal when we have different views and different understandings of the goals?

R. That is all nonsense, it is because we are confused. We still need to accept that we belong to one Adam, one man, one system that all of our work is as much as we can bring ourselves to that one system for once and for always. Otherwise also the Earth and all of humanity are coming closer to a bad summary.

S. Should the Tens discuss as preparation for the congress, discuss reaching this goal? Agreeing on a clear goal?

R. For the goal to be clear means no matter what happens we have to reach the state of one man with one heart, then we reach the Creator as we say one receives one.

S. With full confidence that in this convention we are doing it.

R. Of course.

S. Sounds great.

R. I'm not promising you. I'm telling you that you have to promise yourself that you are going to reach it.

S. In the Tens we have to come to such a desire and now we are doing it.

R. Yes.

Reading excerpt 5: (22:24) “One must disclose the love in his heart…”

17. S. (23:42) For many years we have been having congresses. Now that we have decided to do the Congress in a Ten, a friend in the Ten says we see each other every day, we meet in the lesson on Zoom meetings with the same friends. How can we create excitement and inspiration with each other? We are used to each other. Maybe we know what the friend is going to say by heart already. So how do we awaken some renewed excitement, something new between the friends because for 6 years now we have been together.

R. There are still some of those between us that do not feel that all of creation is actually one man, and that image is what we need to attain. That is a degree that we have to ascend to and without that it will never end. If someone says such things right away I close my ears. You are not allowed to listen to that wisdom that's someone doesn't attain the center of creation, the essence of creation, the point of creation. You just say that a child can say that, but those who already go through a few degrees, so they feel on every degree that you rise, all the previous degrees connect and bring him a new degree. Then he understands more of what one means. What a Ten is and all these things are actually they build the image of the Creator that we must depict and reveal before us. I really hope that after the convention we will not go back to questions like these.

S. Baal HaSulam writes every gift he gives to his friend makes a crack in the rock. So if I want to bring a gift to this friend, how can I give a gift to the Ten, something new?

R. The Ten needs to connect around him and to press on him in a way, in words and actions that he will see that he still didn't start the connection. He thinks the connection is already there, what else can he do? Again, Ten, again, we see what Rabash wrote, there is no innovation. So no such thing we need more and more and more still to put all the vessels, all of our forces in reaching a Ten and the Ten will be the body of Adam HaRishon and in this way we will reach the purpose of creation.
