Prayer - Selected Excerpts from the Sources, #22

1. Rav’s Introduction: I hope that today we can close this topic and tomorrow start on the attack as this is the last topic before the congress. Let's hope that we will be ready for our gathering for connection where we assemble our desires into one prayer. The prayer as we just learned during the last few days, should be only one for turning to the Creator as he is the only source that does and influences everything and the only prayer we can have, the only request we can raise to the Creator is one for the vessels of bestowal. That we would acquire the desire to bestow, the ability to bestow, the thought to bestow and we would help each other to attain this desire through envy, lust, and honor where each is helping the friends. Where we want to receive the force of bestowal from above through jealousy. This is what the Creator is expecting us to ask Him, He is not bestowing anything, but when we ask for it. He twists the whole world all the created beings until they understand this is the only thing we need, the desire to bestow the force of bestowal and this we can receive from the Creator both the desire and the force and the guidance how to use it. Then we can build spiritual Partzuf from ourselves as we learn from the study of TES through the wisdom those spiritual Partzufim to feel all the degrees in all the world until we reach the degree of the Creator from the first step, the very first step when we start to feel eternity and the greatness of the creation. That includes everything in it above the limitations of this world and we attain it through the vessels of bestowal and we acquire these vessels from the Creator. We need to try and understand today that only the request for the vessels of bestowal is what we need to raise to the Creator and let's see how the verses are guiding us in this.

2. R. The prayer must include man's clear knowledge that he has to obtain the force to bestow and this is one thing and he does not have this force at all and the the Creator can bestow it and then the Creator bestow this force the person does not want anything else he does not need anything else.

3. S. When you ask for the friends in the ten there is a feeling that they are already connected together but what is the force of bestowal nevertheless?

R. The will to bestow, is assembled from all of you when each wants to bestow to the others and out of all these desires to give it to each other you can arrange such a desire to bestow to the Creator and then to the extent you are raising this desire to bestow to the Creator and this bestowal, which is how you assemble this desire to the Creator. This way you reach the Creator meaning first there is the intention, the direction to bestow to the Creator to the extent we can bestow to him to a little bit we receive the Upper light from him inside this desire, that direct light dresses into the reflected light. This way we discover the light which fulfills reality which is now concealed but in order to bestow to the Creator to raise to him our desire to give to some extent our desire before the desire. We have to do this towards the friends and then we collect between the friends all these tendencies, inclinations, desires maybe bestowal to each other all the deficiencies that he wants to bestow but can’t, all these deficiencies because we do not want to give it to each other. Nevertheless, he wants us to come to this, each one according to how much he can do according to his personal situation and according to the general situation between everybody. This way we arrange desires and we aim between everybody in the ten, from within the ten, aiming it at the Creator. In such a way, we organize the prayer and the deficiency for the Creator, even a deficiency without a deficiency when we still don't have the true deficiency, but we are asking Him to do this, to give us the vessel, the desire to bestow, to give us a light inside this desire to bestow.

S. After the first stage of connection between as there is a request for each other and return this to the Creator, is there a feeling of the Creator in this?

R. Not yet, we will discover gradually, the desire to bestow and inside the desire to bestow we discover the essence of bestowal which is the Creator. This comes to us gradually but only according to our efforts to come to vessels of bestowal, which is one against the other, we collect it in the group we raise it to the Creator and we work with it “I am my beloveds, my beloved to me” mutually with the Creator when we wish to raise those to the Creator. He helps us to come to the point where the desire to bestow appears in as there is nothing else to receive from the Creator, except for vessels of bestowal because they're all of the other vessels are already in a broken way, but it is all there except the vessels to bestowal.

4. S. (11:34) You talked about acquiring the force to bestow, what does this mean?

R. “None as wise as the experienced” from making efforts to construct the vessels of bestowal between us even when we don't have them but from this effort to build them he starts to build the vessels of bestowal, even when we lack them to feel exactly where is this vessel of for bestowal which is missing from revealing such a relationship between as we raise it to the Creator. From this we begin to receive certain reactions from the Creator and we begin to tie our request and the response to the Creator and then we start at dialogue and understanding a connection with Him.

5. S. (12:51) Through the prayer we want the Creator to give it to the friends the force of bestowal. What does that mean to give the friends the force of bestowal, what is happening to the friends?

R. If I truly am moving towards a deficiency for bestowal, my prayer will come out for the friends because what does that mean, I wish to reach the force of bestowal meaning, I don't receive for myself, rather how do I realize it? That is why the Creator shattered the vessel, and we find ourselves, many people from the others, and I'm asking the Creator to give me the desire to bestow to my 10 so we will be able to bestow to one another. Otherwise, my request will always be in order to receive, will always be for me. I pray for the friends they will all have the force of bestowal to be able to bestow mutually, to be connected as one man and one heart and from within this heart we will be able to bestow to the Creator. In what? In what, can we bestow to the Creator, by arranging ourselves in our will to receive and for him to fill it. What is our will to receive want, it wants to bestow, in this way we gradually come to the connection from the correct connection between us to the connection with the Creator. We need to engage in it, to work with it and we will feel how it works until we come to practical work. 

S. So, it also means that the friends will receive happiness in bestowal or it is something separate?

R. Not typically, it comes with joy because joy is the result of our work together, if we work together it will always bring some joy, confidence and awakening. If we see that we are all aimed at the correct goal, purpose even though we didn’t reach it, it is correct and we are closer to this goal and that brings us joy. The joy is the result of greater and greater illumination which comes from above which corrects and fulfills us, this this brings us joy

6. S. (16:20) When I am praying to the Creator the Kabbalists explain that this thought of praying is already given to me by the Creator. When we pray in the ten together and we formulate a prayer together have we added something in this awakening from below or is it also orchestrated by the Creator?

R. The thing is that I cannot pray for myself and I cannot pray to receive in my vessels of reception. I cannot pray for myself, which is using my desire to receive, so my true spiritual prayer can be only expressed when I am asking for the others, otherwise, it is not spirituality, it is still in the framework of this world. Not for myself but only for the friends and from the friends I can extend it to the whole Bnei Baruch, and then the whole mankind, but never for myself individually or personally. When I pray this way, I pray for the correction of the vessels to have a desire to bestow so from this desire to give assembled between us, we can bestow to the Creator and this is the correct last step, from love of the created beings to the love of the Creator this is how we build our request.

S. Each one can pray like this but I would like to ask more precisely from the perspective of awakening from below, does it add something when we do this all together in the same moment?

R. Of course, when each prays like this it adds to everybody because it includes everybody in this prayer, and the other thing is that when we connect, even before the prayer in the preparation, it turns out that our request is more or less collective from all of us together somehow the Creator then considers you. If I pray for the 10, of course my prayer is accepted, and if we connect together as a 10 during the prayer then our prayer will be surely received even more fully than each who prays for the other, each makes corrections. The upper light, the Creator responds to every request for the force of bestowal.

S. So we do this together, there is more execution of our free desire?

R. Yes, it is, if we combine our desires to bestow to the others, meaning to the friends and all those desires to bestow to the friends connect into a single desire between them into a single common desire. It turns out that the society is bestowal, this way to each one and each one in the 10 and the Creator is there, He begins to reveal Himself, because we obligate Him to reveal Himself because we provide the right conditions for the Creator's revelation. As much as we can be in it and rise above the individual selfish desires and connect between us with the tendency to bestow each other from all of us from the 10 and by that the grasp the upper light, the Creator, to pull him down into our place into the desire to bestow between us.

7. S. (21:32) Rabash writes in the writing that one should ask to receive the vessels of bestowal but the person internally cannot receive it because all the vessels are outside?

R. The desire to bestow is the Creator, the desire to receive is the creature but the creature can use the desire to receive as if with the intention to bestow. If I ask the Creator to get me the force of bestowal, give it to us to all the friends. I am using my desire to receive inversely, meaning, here I perform a restriction with a screen and with reflected light, I do not do it realistically, but I receive the force from above so I can work like this with myself gradually. Then against my desire to receive, I can build the force of resistance, which will become the reflected light from me, we need to try to implement it in practice.

S. I also think that I heard from you that I should include these vessels of bestowal in me, inside of me but I feel that I am outside of this, my whole 10 is in bestowal and I cannot include them, because I am outside of them?

R. This will always appear to you like this, that the others will look more successful, they always seem that they are better than you, that they haven't even started, so, we always have to look at the others and we have to follow them with our eyes clothed. These feelings will help as when we see the others more progressed this is how we can acquire the quality of bestowal through faith, so, we can follow blindly the others, it does not matter what I am receiving in return but what is important is what is coming out of me. The only thing that should come out of me is the prayer for the force of bestowal for a connection with the others.

8. S. (24:23) I have a lot of difficulties trying to build vessels of bestowal from my ego and desire to receive, what should I do to overcome this?

R. Just continue, just keep going, keep looking for what is the vessel of bestowal, how can I do this with the friends and these exercises which we perform with the friends in mutual bestowal not physically, but, we have to feel this way towards them and I wish to help them in everything I wish to serve them so we can all rise to the Creator and from us how can we build a common desire towards the desired Creator. The Creator wants to bestow too as he wants to arrange us, he wants to give us the vessels of bestowal over reception so the desire to receive will convert to the form of bestowal so you have to keep going, it will disappear the next time you again don't know what to do but this is how we progress.

9. S. (26:09) How can we reach our true deficiency in our heart, to pray to the Creator to give us the force of bestowal?

R. You have to talk about it between you, and do all the exercises, you need to read all the quotes which we collected which we also have to go through, and then you will see answers in those writings as well, and let’s continue with reading.

10. R. I hope everybody hears this, and you find this in many of our friends who would want to escape the path, they are despaired, and at the sametime they see that there is nowhere else to go, and then they do not move away from the work even reluctantly, and then they try again, again, so maybe they will succeed again, but they do not budge. 

Reader continues: “Although they have ups and downs they do not give up ....” (29:15 - 29:28)

R. It is written about those who are in Egypt in the desire to receive, and they wish to escape it as they wish to rise above it, but they are not able to and they cry to the Creator to save them. 

Reader continues: “in other words they cried out from the work ....” (29:52 - 30:06)

R. For them it appears as the Exodus from Egypt because in the current state they cannot give to the Creator, and when they are coming out of this exile, out of the desire to receive towards the desire to bestow, for them it is it to be able to bestow ito each other and then through that to the Creator, for them this is called redemption.

11. S. At the end the real prayer brings us the greatest desire to bestow, from the Creator to help bring us to him?

R. The prayer is not only with the shortest, the quickest way, but it is the only action we can actually perform, that all people who are in this world after the shattering they can do nothing else, but to try to reassemble the broken vessel. This is what we do, first physically when we unite in tens and in those tens we try to work voluntarily, consciously on our desires, how to connect them into one vessel towards one goal, into one framework which we call the 10, and from the physical framework of the 10 we try and begin to raise deficiencies to the Creator, to get the second force which we need to get. Other than the force of reception, we also want the force of bestowal, and to the extent we see the force of bestowal in us, we rise above the desire to receive, which is called rising from this world to the upper world through bestowal. So out of the prayer, out of the request, and there no other action than turning to the Creator to correct us, there is no other work we need only in this world through all the degrees we go through we need to always be in this, we are forced to turn to the Creator, to ask for the force of bestowal and this way we can rise from one step to the other. Other than prayer we have no other work, our entire work is in the prayer, in the request, and to organise the conditions for the right prayer, to have the correct desire, correct deficiency for us, we need to organize the ten towards the Creator as we try to locate the force of bestowal as much as possible. The Creator wants to receive from us this order, where the creature who is the deficiency for bestowal and the Creator the source of bestowal and the MAN which is a deficiency is what the creature raises to the Creator, this is what we need only.

12. S. (34:04) We can make qualitative efforts, can we say that there is a motion of quality here?

R. Yes, in everything we have quantity and the quality and they are intertwined, the quantity is the amount which we invest in, we don't know what to do but the quantity we invested will gradually become a quality, as we grow we try and then we succeed more in the unification of the actions. In the beginning we always do everything in the quantity, a lot of it, therefore we do everything in a pyramid manner, where those who succeed more are those who are greater in bestowal, they are on top of the pyramid, and the masses are at the bottom of the pyramid. Everything is arranged this way, quantity at the base and quality on the top, but everything is interdependent, interconnected because at the end it all becomes a sphere, the system of Adam which includes in it everything, it is a spherical system, or circle if you want.

13. S. (35:37) Are there better times to pray?

R. The best time is when we are all connected, there is nothing else, there is no specific better time, that is the morning or afternoon or evening, or different days during the year, when we connect, we create such a spiritual degree that lies above all the physical disturbances, we then don't depend on time in corporeality as spirituality is above time.

S. What about the time when the friends are meeting together?

R. That is not time that is a state, then we establish the correct state for the request.

14. S. (36:32) This last excerpt talked about people with free choice...

R. Freedom of choice is not for us yet, freedom of choice is for those who are under special spiritual conditions which we call the middle third of Tiferet, Klipat Noga, between the good and evil sides, this is already as spiritual Partzuf which the person constructed, and then he is in the middle of this is spiritual Partzuf and then he has a freedom of choice, when we get there we will learn about it, at the moment we have to see that we are not free in anything, so we need to discover how not free we are, and how we are governed by the Creator in everything.

15. S. (37:37) What is the sign that we have completed the quota and we are asking for the friends for the force of bestowal, so we don't jump early to bestow to the Creator?

R. It is not important if you jump or not, if you made the right arrangements with the connection with the friends and you're asking the Creator to arrange the correct connection between you, so you become one man with one heart, and you are praying for this, and you try to feel this one heart. Then out of this you are starting to feel the desire to turn to the Creator, for the Creator to fulfill the connection between you, and the Creator is happy to be revealed in this way, you are bestowing Him contentment and then He appears in that connection between you, the Inner Light inside the spiritual Partzuf.

16. S. (38:42) We talked about quantity which becomes a quality, and in the previous congress there were many amazing efforts from friends who came after 20 hours of flying, and friends from Turkey we all prayed for their visas, so how to replace these physical actions with this virtual Congress?

R. With internal exertion, when we want with our heart and soul to be above time and space, in a single desire, one heart with one desire, we want to be connected with all our desires to this single connection, incorporation to such a desire where according to the mutual similarity we can connect. Our desire to connect, in general somewhat, becomes similar to the Creator's desire, so He can dress into us and then we say that one receives one, when we reveal Him, it all depends on the level of connection between us into a single desire, as much as this level is enough to reveal the Creator on the smallest degree, and then we reveal Him in the connection between us, let's hope we get there.

S. Is the overcoming of each friend, and it does not matter what overcoming, but in the direction of connection, is that what creates this single desire?

R. Of course, but what does it mean that it does not matter, it depends on what we imagine as a connection or contact, we all try to realize the connection, we want to connect into one desire, what is a single desire? Let’s say I wish to reveal all the desires of the friends as a single desire for me to immerse there, to dissolve in there and this is the single desire. Try to do it this way then we will turn to the Creator and He will dress into us because he expects only this, this is the implementation of the congress, if we reach this even to a tiny bit then we would have taken a step to spirituality from the physical world, this way each and everyone we connect all of us with one and other, and the Creator builds, complete our efforts and then He dresses into it.

S. This little effort, because it is a virtual congress, the amount of activity is reduced compared to the past congress, so it could be a friend who makes a lot of effort or just appears and disappears or somebody takes a small role, is this little effort?

R. You have to examine the system of connection between you, and you have to understand how to operate it, so there would be no mistakes there, we have to see to what extent and how much we have the material for the congress, what songs we are playing, all the things, to try as much as possible in each and every moment to be connected between us, to each one needs to be included in it.

17. S. (42:52) So the prayer is the source of bestowal, and I become a bestower by praying?

 R. Yes.

18. S. (43:12) Should we expect to actually want to bestow to the friends, or we just say this?

R. You need to reach a state when I want to connect to the desires of the friends in mutual bestowal, that we want to reach this but certainly don't have this form of bestowal, so we turn to the Creator to give it to us, if we turn to Him together then He will answer.

19. S. (43:46) Why is it that 10 minutes of prayer seems much harder than 20 hours of light in this world?

R. Because this is the work of the heart.

20. S. (44:05) What does it mean to collect the desires of the ten and present to the Creator?

R. Each one who wants to reach the force of bestowal the Creator must combine the desires of the friends and raise them to the Creator and then He will collect them and answer them as one.

21. R. We make a lot of actions, many forms of connections, addressing the Creator. The problem is that we have to arrange them correctly, we have to arrange our request correctly and also to understand that we cannot reach a truthful desire all at once, because it is all in the direction of bestowal. We do not have the strength to move to bestowal, every time a little bit more a little bit more, so how can we actually move towards bestowal, what do we get out of these myriads of problems, because we are incorporated into each other. If we were not incorporated into each other we would not be able to progress, and our work is in exactly in this incorporation and we have to try more, to enter into each other a little bit more, entering a little bit more into each other to have incorporation, which has to be according to when the desire to receive appears. It turns out that we have to take part in this incorporation and from this we can progress, this is our work that we reach the right result, otherwise the Creator cannot hear our prayer. 

He seemingly responds to it, in each and every detail, but to hear it to a respond to it requires a complete prayer, meaning in the ten, then He answers according to the deficiency which He arranges for us. So more and more don't let go, don't despair like a little child who nags and wants and wants even if he does not have a right desire, but he feels like this just yelling, just crying, he wants it and keeps on crying, after all this is what we have to also do until the Creator arranges our prayer properly. Then we gradually form and arrange our deficiency for spirituality, this is how we assemble our desires into a single desire, then the desire of each one enters into the desires of the others, one into the next and the next into the third one. This way integration is happening until we conclude the entire circle, and we get many many actions from this, this is highly complex and later we will see and realize, we will see how it is done. It is a miraculous act of connection between us by the Creator, things that are totally opposite and different from each other, how they connect and construct a complete system of all reality from the opposition, and above the opposition each connects to the others and we get the entire world, from this level until the the world of Ein Sof without any limitations, but these things get established, organized, arranged over time, one after the other.

22. S. (50:06) What is a true desire for the work, how do I know when I am in the true right desire?

R. When you wish to connect to the friends in the 10 and you want to raise this common deficiency to the Creator. By raising your common desire for the connection, the Creator has to connect you, because the Creator finishes this work which is called “the Creator finishes the work for me.” We only raise our deficiency for connection from the 10 when we are not capable of connecting, but the deficiency of the whole ten, it is what we raise it to Him and then the Creator connects them, assembles them, and He gives us the desire to bestow in return. In this to some extent the relation is developing between us, and we do not attain the world immediately. The Creator dresses in us and we do not feel it at first, but we gradually come to a state where He does dress into us and we will feel this.

23. S. (51:30) You said that the prayer has to include a clear recognition that we have to reach the quality of bestowal, so I see that the desire to receive ruins this recognition and mankind, so why do we need to come to despair in the 10, if we already have a despair as mankind?

R. Mankind is not despaired, they just don't like that they want to attain everything in the desire to receive and they can’t, and this is not the same despair. We learn that we have to reach through despair from not being able to reach the vessels of bestowal is different than what humanity is concerned about, this is why we are not working with them mutually at all, we connect to them only through our bodies, through this animal, and through that we connect to mankind, but not more than that. This is how we need to understand the deficiency which we have to attain, this is a deficiency for bestowal and the deficiency for bestowal is not present in us by default at all, we have to try to attain this with the help from above. To demand this from the light from above, the upper force will come, connect us and assemble us as a 10, this is first of all the attainment of the 10 in practice.

Then after attaining our connection in the 10 we begin to work with it, so it would be bestowal from the 10 to the Creator, and this is when we try to give it to the Creator when we ask from Him for the force of bestowal and we ask Him to progress us, we ask Him to take care of us. This means that we are bestowal to Him like little babies, like little children, in what can they give to their parents, by asking for something from their mother and then the mother takes care of them. She derives a pleasure from this because she wants to fulfill them against their desire to receive and because they want to resemble their mother so we need to try to implement it in practice, and then from this it will be clear to us what it is written, because if we don't do the actions we could never understand precisely the written words. It is written that none as wise as the experienced, according to how much we try to do these things, only in this way can we learn from them and get experience, then we'll be able to understand what is going on. We try and we try and this is it, but in practice we try to connect, to turn to the Creator, to pray, to cry out, it does not matter what, but only together as much as possible and then each time after we perform these actions together, we acquire a new wisdom and take another step forward.

Because by this, when we do it together we open up the space for the upper lights to influence us and when the light influences us we receive some innovation, some new state, but if you do not connect to reach something new, we do not get anything from the new state. We can only count the number of lessons we have been through, how many hours we have been through, as we sometimes hear from friends that I have been here for 10 years, ok what does it mean that you have been here. It does not mean that you are present here just because someone shows up once in a while, but this is not being a present, this is not being existing in the system, being present means that you're asking from the Creator for the force of connection, for the force of bestowal, so you turn to the Creator and you receive the force of bestowal between you. In this way you are constantly in prayer and these complaints to me I don't take them, I explain to you what is written in our instruction books, in our articles and all the rest is for you to implement, I am not handing out spirituality. I am only a guide, a little bit of a guide. 

24. S. (57:45) We read before in order for the prayer to be accepted we have to believe it will be accepted, but here Rabash writes we should pray in order to believe that how does that work?

R. You start from faith, we don't have faith we have to pray for faith as well, each and every detail that belongs to spirituality we have to pray for it, we have to ask for the Creator to give it to us other than our pure will to receive we have nothing. Our ego is like a newborn baby, it just cries that he wants, it doesn't even know what he wants, who is he receiving it from, he doesn't even know how to ask, he simply cries. This is our spiritual form for now we are in contact with the upper force but we are unaware of it, he is willing to take care of us and he does so according to our level, the more that we advance and grow up this treatment will become closer, will become more clearly understood and more mutual.

25. S. (59:13) What needs to happen between us in the ten so we start wanting to do everything for the sake of the Creator, how does the desire to want to give the contents to the Creator emerge from us while we are still in our egoistic vessels?

R. You are going to receive everything through the guidance, just try to follow what we are doing.

26. R. We need to be in some sort of faith that the Creator can help, that only the Creator can help.

27. R. This means that only the Creator knows to do what I need and I have nothing else to hope for, turn to, only to Him.

Reader continues “ If he does not help him he will be better off dead than alive....”

28. R. We need to reach that only the Creator knows how to do that to him we need to turn and if not I will be lost, that is a true prayer.

29. S. (01:02:13) What is the difference between connection and concealment?

R. Connection is a state and bestowal is in action.

WSQ: How do we come to the state where we can raise a prayer from the bottom of the heart and the Creator certainly answers it if it is from the bottom of the heart, what should we do, what do we need to prepare? Please all of the world Kli, workshop. What should we do in order to succeed in addressing the Creator and the sign for the right address to the Creator is that we discover that he answers us. 

31. S. (01:09:25) What should we do in order to succeed in our address to the Creator?

R. To connect between you and have a single desire.

32. S. (01:09:39) During the workshop you gave us this question to try to help one another so how to reach such a prayer, do I have to pray or just scrutinize how to?

R. You need to agree among you about the text of your prayer, the request of your prayer and that you are asking for vessels of bestowal. You have to connect for that and know why and how and what for, if you don't agree upon that between you then it doesn't work.

33. S. (01:10:45) My despair has to be aimed towards a request from the Creator; how can I use this despair to help the friends?

R. Despair by itself is a very good thing, we need to clarify it as despair of your own strength not just from the path, that you stay on the path with your own strength you can't attain anything. This despair comes from achieving despair you can't attain anything in your will to receive in that is excellent. Now you need one thing, to reach a state where you only need the will to bestow and then together you are asking for the will to bestow and that is it.

34. S. (01:12:03) I heard you say that the ten has to agree on the composition of the prayer, the phrasing of the prayer?

R. This means that our state needs to be clear to us and what do we turn for, who do we turn to and mostly what do we turn with, meaning what do we want? All of that builds the phrase of our prayer.

S. That is clear, but ultimately we have a state where each friend says his part as of today we are not correcting each other's prayers we're simply collecting all of them and to raise the prayer as a common feeling without working on the wording itself.

R. You should try to discuss it and see that you are close to each other and when you raise your prayers they will be very similar to the point that you are as one man and one heart.

S. To some extent we need to create a prayer that is more concise?

R. Of course it will happen that way.

S. This can be a good outcome, but also cause misunderstanding between the friends.

R. I don't think that you're going to have a lot of disagreements or misunderstandings if we all yearn for the Creator and want to be together, otherwise we don't reach it, so there is not much room for arguments. Rather quickly we come to a place where we will understand and feel each other.

35. S. (01:14:16) During the prayer we get foreign thoughts for example how to resist these thoughts to remain in the prayer?

R. Try to remain as connected as possible in the thoughts and the desires of the friends that you can come out of the disturbances.

36. S. (01:14:57) Is there any difference between our prayer being short or long? Which one is more effective?

R. Prayer doesn't need to be longer or shorter, it needs to express your deficiency as much as you can achieve it together, it is said one which should wish to pray all day.

37. S. (01:15:36) Does acting in the ten affect the depth of the prayer at all?

R.  Of course, it does because all together we raise the prayer from the Minyan and the Minyan is the ten, we need to care about the connection of the ten as one and that single desire that comes from the ten we raise that to the Creator.

38. S. (01:16.19) Where is the common desire concentrated, where do we feel it?

R. You feel your own desire in your heart, one man and one heart.

S. It is the effort of connection in the ten toward each other where do we crystallize this desire towards each other?

R. You need to feel that it starts becoming established.

S. We need to ask for that or before the request to prepare. 

R. You need to ask for that, there isn't any item of connection you can do on your own only with the help of the upper light.

S. When we have that common desire we raise another prayer from it or the prayer is on it?

42. S. (01:22:48) The first stage we ask the Creator to connect us, let's say, He gives it to us then in the second prayer to bestow to Him seems to be disconnected from calculations...

R. This is incorrect, why do we want to connect? If we want to connect in order to receive then our prayer is an egoistic prayer and it separates us from the Creator, the Creator will put us through different states where we will have to get rid of that intention to receive from Him. Therefore, we don't have a choice, we have to hold ourselves, nevertheless, in a way that we want to bestow to each other and the Creator. We have to design in this whole state where we connect in mutual bestowal to each other and through the mutual bestowal we want to bestow to the Creator and this is what we need to build. We can't connect between us in the shape of bestowal and not with the Creator in a way of bestowal. So we asked Him to design this Kli for us to shape this Kli, this is basically our prayer in the ten. Give us the opportunity to connect in order to bestow to you, because also bestowing alone I can't do that, what does it mean to bestow? 

My connection with others is the condition for bestowing to the Creator. This is why it is called the end result is in the initial thought, that we need to come to a shape of bestowal and so all of our pleas to our connection, correction towards the Creator is all to achieve that shape of bestowal and we don't forget about that even in our words, even though we don't have it in our desire or that we turn to the Creator and we say, give us the desire to bestow, help us to see the form of bestowal is the right form. We don't need to be ashamed of that because He designs our egoistic desires and understands the state we are in. You can't hide from Him, He is hidden from you - you cannot hide yourself from Him. Show and reveal exactly your desires and thoughts to Him and you will see how it cleanses you from everything and how you begin to connect with everyone in a clear and good way that you have nothing to hide from the friends, no one has anything to hide, you just need to find the relationship between you. This is what you need to correct and this is the only thing that the Creator can help you with. Be a bit more open about this and you will be less confused.

S. Specifically how do we build this deficiency towards the Creator between us, what is it?

R. Ask, of course you don't have it, with the friends you are discussing this that as it says in the writing of the Kabbalists that we need to reach bestowal and you have no desire, no power to bestow and even the opportunities that you might not see how to approach it, so, all of you, you need to discuss this together, how do you turn to the Creator to ask Him for desire and guidance, what to do about this desire, you got nothing. R. Yes, ask for the slightest thing. “Why didn't you ask?” - this is what I heard from Rabash, many times and I used to be like you as well.

43. S. (01:29:56) Is the result of the mutual prayer in the tens that the Creator will better the connection between us, the quality of the connection?

R. Yes, it will improve the quality of connection, but first we have to see if there is connection, what we are lacking, what we should add, explain to us what more needs to be done. We need to be in constant contact with the Creator over everything, start working with Him nonstop.

S. Why is it when the quality improves it seems that the quantity goes last?

44. S. (01:31:48) We used to have many explosions in our ten: fighting, screaming, cursing and after that we would cover it with love and we would feel advancements. Today we are much more like gentlemen because everyone understands that we have to always be in love. Yet it feels like we are missing something. What is the correct approach?

R. The correct approach is that you are not gentlemen but you are also not cowboys like you were before trying to kill each other. Gentlemen can also kill each other just not through guns, but through courthouses, jails. It is revealed to you that you are all egoist but you want to connect specifically above your egos and together be similar to the Creator. For this you have to cancel that you go between you but you can't cancel it, you can only rise above it and by rising you can also receive from each other the mutual force of bestowal. To the extent that you received the power of connection above the force of your will to receive, your rejection and you want to bestow out of this connection, among you and to Him, to the Creator. The Creator is your totality, in this way you build a vessel of bestowal between you and in it you begin to discover the upper reality, the upper world. This is how you come to reveal creation.

S. It feels like all of the bullets of love calm down the hatred. I suppose we just have to wait for the Creator to crank up the hatred, because every time the friends are just trying to love and care more and it feels like it's calming down the pressure.

R. It is true, but soon you will see it becomes two parallel lines one time in one and one time in the other, one time in this and one time in that then, the middle line will come and connected to and then you will have a Partzuf where are underneath you have the coarseness and on top of it the force of bestowal. In this way you will be given to build your spiritual Partzuf and the whole ten will become ten Sefirot of the soul. This is what will happen and I really hope that will come sooner than we expect. We are already beginning to increasingly design, fashion the state as it takes a while but the fashioning is already there we are just not gripping it with our hands quite yet.

45. S. (01:35:43)  Baal HaSulam writes: there is a stage in the efforts where the prayer is not complete because the evil inclination says I didn't do enough work with that? But thought that maybe I'm not doing it right, that I'm not praying right . Maybe I didn't do something or in the past I did something wrong, how to work correctly in that point of the efforts that the evil inclination says you didn't do everything right?

R. You are asking personally, stop thinking of yourselves as distinct from others, We need to as quickly as possible to feel ourselves as a ten, we are seeing nine friends here or even more, I make it so you think together, that you want together, you want to turn to the Creator together then you will begin to feel out of this togetherness that you have someone to turn to and that he is ready and is replying in answer to you. There is nothing special here and there are no great disturbances here, this is why specifically to your group there aren't great disturbances, connect between you more and turn to the Creator out of the connection between you, very simple and it is possible. I am telling you your group can be very successful.

S. The point of unity between us where the evil inclination won't disturb us?

R. Yes.

46. S. (01:37:47) That state where it seems that I can do something, many times it is like a wall that stops me from praying to the Creator it seems that we are praying everywhere except to the Creator, so is it possible to include in the general prayer to bring this point of despair closer from the personal efforts?

R. Together you can do anything you want, if you work together no problem you will still advance.

47. S. (01:38:35) Our ten is not fully implementing your advice. I Always feel like we are one step behind you. Why is it like that?

R. Maybe you're not repeating the lesson by listening to it again. After the lesson when you are alone you need to go over the lesson again, to listen to it and draw conclusions from it trying to implement them. Maybe you can't do it together so each one separately, but then you speak about it, you connect several times a day so speak about it among yourselves as you have to swallow, chew, digest the morning lesson as it is mandatory for every ten.  

48. S. (01:39:43) How do we obtain together the state of a true descent?

R. Why do we need it? We need to think only about ascent, why do you need a descent? I don't think there is a need for it. We should constantly rise until we finish the ascent and see it as a descent already and likewise on and on. I finish this degree and I look at it and I already see it as low so it's already a descent. Then I go forward. A descent should be revealed when I discover an intensified will to receive, a new one, that I worked on one kilo of the will to receive, rose above it and now two kilos of the will to receive are revealed and then I work on that.

S. He meant lowliness, how to reach through lowliness?

R. To get to real lowliness we need to work on it more each time where we cannot determine the goal but only receive it from above, that we can't achieve connection but only from above. We can't do anything right, all of the right things come to us from above as a result of the prayer, of the request and all of the things that are revealed without the prayer are bad things that we need to rise above. I have to know I have to constantly pray if I receive something without praying, without praying first, it is the ego that is revealed.

The main thing is not to despair, not to give up and even if we get to a great despair where the children of Israel sighed from the work and their cry went up when we see that we can't, that we are unable and that we are not achieving anything even though we have done so many activities and operations each time. The only success from the operation is that we came to a dead end and we can't help it, that we're not succeeding, here we need to make an effort that is called (escaping Egypt) exiting our will to receive, exiting Egypt, rising above it. R. In order to connect in one desire and to know whom to turn it towards, to the one force knowing that we have to receive it in our one connection, this is why all of our speaking is only in order to build one deficiency and know how to use it.

51. S. (01:50:32) When I pray during the day can I pray in the name of the ten?

R. If you pray not in the name of the ten and not for the ten then you are not praying it is just words. Only if you are asking for the ten or together with the ten then your request is regarded as a prayer, a prayer could not emerge but out of at least a ten otherwise it is not a prayer, a prayer is called a raising of MAN, a deficiency that rises from people who are still not connected as one man with one heart and this is what they ask to be connected to be in bestowal among themselves and to the Creator. Then they are called a ten or a Minyan, a vessel, a soul depending on the intensity and the power of the connection.

52. S. (01:52:11) Can I ask about the cry, during the day we hold on to a mutual prayer for the ten, when we go to sleep where we didn't reach certain results when there is a feeling of shame that we do all of the work. Should there be a cry as a result of the end of the day or will it come at a moment that it's not a criteria to check by?

R. I don't think that before you go to sleep at night you have to be in such bitterness, no you have to complete the day and having done all that you could and everything else the Creator will arrange it; therefore I put myself together with the ten, all of us, we put ourselves in his hand and we go to sleep quietly, peacefully, calmly this is how we should go to sleep and not with an effort, exertion and being bitter so that now we're resting, no that's not rest, that's called lack of faith. Because after the day before we go to sleep we still have to believe that now the Creator will finish for us.

S. Where is that cry and where do we bring it?

R. Out of our common desire.

53. S. The deficiency is that the only condition to receive the method?

R. A deficiency to approach and reveal the Creator, meaning the force of bestowal to appear in us and to give us the feeling of the actual reality, this is the deficiency that we need to develop within us and it comes only when we are connected because it is a deficiency to bestow and not to receive. The deficiency, the desire to bestow among us when we want to connect above our individual egos, when ten people want to unite above their nature, they create the conditions to receive from above a desire to bestow. This thing comes and is positioned above them, above their will to receive and that desire to bestow is what connects them to the extent that the desire to bestow appears between them, to that extent they are connected. Of course they can only ask for it and even the request begins with not wanting, but that there is some sort of a disposition, a point in the heart that does agree to it somehow and then when they connect these points in the heart of each one, they come to the prayer and then they receive their desire to bestow that is above them. Within that deficiency they begin to feel the upper force then they have contact with the Creator in this way, this is what we have to come to. We are very close to it already and this is exactly what we are talking about.

54. S. (01:58:20) For an hour I hear lowliness, brokenhearted that we can't reach the Creator without it. Why should we be broken and low?
R. I will tell you I will tell you it is loneliness and breaking of the heart because we cannot connect among us and out of the connection between us to connect to the Creator, we can't. This is why it is called breaking, we are broken.

S. So in the congress do we also have to reach that prayer of the brokenhearted?

R. This breaking has to remain, why not? That we with our strength can't do anything, that state is true and we will remain in this way, so what?

S. Because in the ten, you see our ten, we don't feel broken hearted so much to reach the Creator.

R. It is you who doesn't see it, I'll who faults fault in their own flaw I see all the friends they’re knowing they are broken and they can't achieve anything they know the connection depends upon them with the desire to bestow and to connect is still not enough because there is one guy among them who still doesn't want to connect and that is why they are despaired, the reason for their desperation is you.

S. So what you're saying if we don't reach desperation we won't reach anything?

R. Correct, but what despair is it? From having to try to do all kinds of connections from my heart and connections among the friends that I wouldn't succeed and now I need the Creator to do it.

S. Understand so there's no connection between us we get despair? 

R. You give up because you're not a chief in connection with your own strength but there is still the Creator so now you understand that you are dependent on Him you turn to Him and when you turn to Him, you understand He did it on purpose so you would turn to Him.

S. So this is the prayer we need in the ten to bring the heart to despair?

R. Yes, it is called the children of Israel sighed from the work.

S. Only prayer will help?

R. Only the prayer helps of course, the prayer is the conclusion, the end of all of our efforts.

55. S. (02:01:30) We're speaking about the prayer at a few minutes ago a friend said that in the workshop that you enter with the prayer that you give us through states, the state of our group of what we are praying for, I want to know if you could tell me how to check the state of my group; what does that mean?

R. I don't know it's not a scrutiny for now; each one scrutinizes with his own strength, with his own tools and own vessels.

That is actually what we need to constantly not disconnect from the Creator even in the worst states and to understand that it all comes from Him, that He formulates all of the feelings in us and  if we want to connect with Him like we always said through the ten connected together to turn to Him and ask for the desire to bestow, there is no other connection except to ask for the desire to bestow from Him. Not to disconnect to suffering, not to mitigate, not to be healthier, no matter what because it all comes from Him only and the treatments, the healing and everything and every state is only through connection. 60. S. How do we in the ten feel that it stems from one person and it is really genuine?

R. Try between you to locate it, hold on to it speak about it, ask the Creator to give you the ability to feel that you're together to connect between you, everything in the force of prayer, you're turning to me and I'm pushing you back to the prayer this is the only means you have to attain anything.

61. S. (02:12:48) What is the absolute despair state that we should arrive at in order to be able to raise a real prayer?

R. That is what we learned today that you are certain without the help of the Creator that you can't and that you don't even have a deficiency for the help of the Creator but that you have the ability to organize all of the ten, all of the efforts for the Creator to give you the deficiency to turn to Him. This is a deficiency before a deficiency, prayer before a prayer that you ask the Creator to help you organize your ten and deficiency in the ten, from this deficiency of the whole ten that you can turn to Him. Try to work with it throughout the day and you will see how you discover new steps.

62. S. (02:14:12) The first thing we ask is connection, we aspire for connection and then for bestowal, this doesn't sit with me. How can there be a connection without bestowal they should go together?

R. Good question, but when we ask to be united, obviously it is always above our will to receive and is in the connection between us in the force of bestowal but it is the force of bestowal that only unites between us but afterwards we want to turn from our mutual force of bestowal towards the Creator to give us the opportunity, the ability to bestow to Him so there are two degrees here. One that we are building ourselves, asking for the Creator for the mutual force of bestowal to connect us and then we are asking the Creator for the force of his double that from the ten we were already turned to Him.

63. S. (02:15:36) Is being dependent on the Creator in our actions of state of lowliness or in state of joy because of the adhesion?

R. It is not lowliness when the created being is dependent upon the Creator, on the contrary, the lowliness is the created being thinking he can do any actions without the Creator, this is lowliness because he doesn't understand what state he is in. Then like when the baby, a child thinks that he knows how to do something and he will go and want, better to think whether or not it belongs to him or not but he can do it and then he can do it wisely. This is why lowliness is when we don't do our work according to the stages and we want to jump above our abilities, this is a lack of order, lack of understanding, this is lowliness.

64. S. (02:17:25) What can we add as a ten to the congress?

R. You have to come to the congress with the ten connected as one just like that.

65. S. (02:17:55) What does it mean to pray with the ten during the lesson?

R. What we are speaking about in the lesson you have to understand that it needs to be absorbed in your connection, that the light afterwards influences or bestows on the whole world vessel this light has to work on your ten as well to feel as a result of that light that you are connected. In that connection that you feel you are in one desire and in that desire you want to turn to the Creator to start bestowing to you the light of bestowal. Then you will advance to be like Him. By that you will give Him contentment.

66. S. (02:18:57) We work in the morning as a ten and then we come to the tens meeting united and after the tens meeting we cling to the Creator feeling we are in one desire, in our last meeting toward the evening how should each of us work in the best way in order to be in one desire?

R. You have to see the articles of Rabash that can bring you to such a state and I think that it is best if you will just repeat the morning lesson and then you will understand every sentence and excerpt better. In the morning lesson we don't have time to focus on each and every excerpt but you can do it and that will calm and aim you a bit more so I think that the morning lesson is so loaded with work there should be plenty for the whole day.

67. S. (02:20:20) Should we speak about stays with a lack of strength to connect to come to a common deficiency?

R. Yes because afterwards you are about to ask the Creator for the force of connections so before you have to speak up the lack of forces.

68. S. (02:20:51) There is a feeling that you are building us into a system before the congress, the work is only in the ten, the prayer only comes from them, what pressure do we have between us?

R. That you have to get and form a connection between you, I won't get in there instead of you, it has to be a result of your work and searching.

69. S. (02:21:27) What more should we do when we feel rejection and disgust with ourselves for thinking of our own pleasure?

R. This is the Creator awakening in him to show him who he is that he will hate that thought and ask the Creator to take it away from him.

71. S. (02:22:53) It turns out that we have to raise a common prayer for connection and along with it to ask for the quality of bestowal for the ten; if we ask for the quality of bestowal for everyone does the Creator correct our prayer so it will be for connection as well?

R. Actually yes, but desire to pray for this and for that, the question is right and good.

72. S. (02:23:36) During the congress with your recommendation as we heard it we also want to put together a prayer out of all of the prayers of the tens, like a public prayer?

R. Think how to do it.

S. So let's assume during the congress at the tens will put together prayers during themselves and we will send them somewhere from there there will be a team that will build it into a prayer?

R. To make a prayer of it or maybe we could read that it could be a sentence or two, we've done this in congress once, that we could read such things, things that really stand out, that there will be a team that will read them and prepare it.

S. So we shouldn't put it together into a prayer but that people will just read the sentences from each ten?

R. I think so that when we read it we can feel it and then the next stage will be how we connect the mutual prayer, we will determine how to do it.

S. Should there be a place or a wall, a page where the tens can come and read the prayers of other tens?

R. I think it is good but will we have the forces in time and translate into a lot of languages afraid to pull people out to a certain state out of efforts of the heart, the main thing is the purpose of the work in the heart that we are in one heart.

S. We went over many requests and friends wanted to meet together during the breaks to exchange impressions.

R. I am happy to hear it.

S. But should we do it? It'll be outside of the ten and some common virtual ground where I can meet friends from say Japan or the US?

R. Yes it is good even outside the ten.

S. So what should be the purpose of such a meeting?

R. The purpose of such a prayer is to get more of an inspiration from the magnitude of our general Kli, because I'm always closed in my ten, because here if I come close and see that it will brought in the heart. 

S. How can we be careful not to exit the inner effort of the ten?

R. So there can be a bit of that as well, we need both.

73. R. WSQ: Let's summarize the topic of the prayer, the last topic is attack. What did we learn about the prayer, how do we build our prayer in such a way that for certain we will reach the Creator?
