How Can Israel Protect Itself from a Nuclear Iran?
The Iran nuclear deal will pour a lot of money into Tehran, strengthen its power and status, and Israel predicts that such an agreement will be very bad for itself, that it will bring Iran closer to having a nuclear bomb, and will enable Iran to continue spreading terrorism. Moreover, since the United States is currently considered Israel’s greatest ally, such a deal also shows that Israel will be left to deal with Iran on its own in case of an existential threat. Indeed, Israel can rely on nobody. America is no friend of Israel, and in general, Israel has no friends. It shows that only Israel itself can establish its own protection. In my opinion, I want no protection from anyone but myself. Our certainty about our future lies in the mutual support of both our spiritual and our corporeal degrees. What is this support of both our corporeal and spiritual degrees? On the corporeal degree, it means that we develop this weapon ourselves, and on the spiritual degree, it means that we become equipped with a spiritual weapon. A spiritual weapon is the force of human connection. If we activate such a force, then we can reach a state where the Iranian people, including their government and everyone else, will want to connect with us wholeheartedly and devotedly.

Syrian Dreams of a Good Life in Israel - Kabbalist’s Response
Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman responds to a Syrian refugee’s dream of living a good life in Israel, with Oren Levi. The following is a loose transcript of the talk… Oren Levi: A Syrian refugee published a clip where he calls upon Israel to conquer all of Syria, and not only the Golan Heights. In his view Syrians will be far better off under Israeli occupation than they are today under Assad—a roof over my head, food, education for children—rather than hunger, poverty, and sickness in Assad's Syria today. Others also see that Arabs in Israel are far better off than they are in most neighboring Arab countries. So why don't most people accept Israel? Don't they see things for what they are? Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: Yes, they do see it but feel hate as well. It is because we need to bring Arabs, and in general, all nations of the world, even better relations, ties, and connections. We Jews need to show a good attitude toward each other and a willingness to live in a good attitude toward everyone, inviting everyone to be “as one man with one heart.” It is not enough to only give people a good standard of living, but there is a kind of an emotion that must be added. Their approval of the existence of Israel depends on the measure of love between us. This is what this country exists for. Oren Levi: What do we exist in the world for? Dr. Laitman: Sages say that we need to be a “light unto the nations,” but I don't know if we are in the right direction at all. It is something that we need to do, these are eternal conditions. In Kabbalah, being a “light unto the nations” means that we will show to all of humanity, without any exceptions, that love needs to eventually braid all people together in a tight connection. In the state of mutual support, I do not look at the other person's color, shape or anything else. But if we are talking about people, then I need to elevate myself to a state where I love them. Oren Levi: And what if they come to attack me and kill me? Dr. Laitman: If this is what you will do, then you will see that no one will come to attack you. On the contrary, they will come to learn from you how to love.

What Abraham Inviting Everybody to His Tent Means in Today’s World
A resident of the Negev was attacked by a gang of Bedouin teenagers who tried to rob him. He had a gun and managed to chase them away, but afterward he thought, "Wait a moment. I live in the Negev. They live in the Negev. Soon I’m going to have children. They themselves are children. We are really interdependent here." There is now a Greenhouse for Leadership that teaches Bedouin teenagers how to lead positive change. What would they need to learn in order to lead positive change in the Bedouin society? Like how Abraham invited everyone to his tent, he used to serve them refreshments and simultaneously shared why he did so, why he welcomed everyone, and why he wanted everyone to come. He tried to instill a new spirit in people—an attitude of love and connection—to show them that connection is good. A person can enjoy life on the condition that he builds positive relations with others. That is the secret to a good life: to have positive relations with your neighbors. What would give these young leaders the strength to lead change, like how Abraham led change? First of all, they would need to see that there is the force of nature. The force of nature is good and benevolent, and this force is within a person’s reach. We need to attain it and desire for it to live in and among us. What does it mean for the force of nature to live among us? Bedouins live in nature. The Creator is everywhere, which they know a bit and especially feel. Let us be closer to the Creator and feel him in every moment in life. The Creator is the force that exists among us. We build it through our positive attitude to each other, or in other words, we build the necessary conditions in order to discover this higher force.

Why Do American Jews Separate Their Identity from Israel?
Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman and Oren Levi discuss Jewish identity between American Jews and Israel. Below is a loose transcript of the talk… Oren Levi: Recently, Trump said in an interview that American Jews no longer love Israel that much, or they simply don't care about it. He said that in his opinion, Evangelist Christians love Israel more than US Jews do. Now, this is a tough statement, what do you think about it? Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: It's not a tough statement. It's the truth, I really see things eye-to-eye with him. This is a part of the Jewish people that does not associate itself with the state of Israel. They associate themselves only with America. They surely don't want to be related to the State of Israel or to the nation of Israel. I don't think about them as my brothers either. Some of them hate Israel because of the association with Israel, and if they care about Israel, then it might place them into a hostile position in American society. Israelis shouldn’t count on the Jews in the US, They will not help Israelis in times of trouble. Oren Levi: What can give us strength? Dr. Laitman: Only our connection. The connection between us and the great force of nature that ties us together and holds us, and thanks to it, we exist. Suppose that here in Israel we succeed in coming a bit closer to each other, we connect a bit more. We treat each other a bit more favorably. This will give us more strength. The nation of Israel at its foundation is a gathering of the 70 nations of the world. This is how they connected back in Abraham's times. He connected them and took them out of Babylon, and brought them to the Land of Canaan. Since then, we are called “Israel” from the words “Yashar Kel,” meaning those that are aimed straight at the Creator. We see our goal in connecting “as one man with one heart,” above the ego, which separates us. “All of Israel are friends,” and from the love of Israel—from loving your fellow man—we come to a general love. This will protect us because by this, we connect to the one acting force in nature.

Is Israeli Society Headed for Civil War?
According to Israeli futurist Professor David Passig, Israeli society is heading toward civil war. This is based on his research of other countries in comparable situations, where three or four generations down the line, they break into civil war. We know from history that it was not the Greeks or the Romans that came to Israel. The destruction of the First and Second Temples happened between Jews. What united the country started melting away. It might happen again. There are enough disputes and differences of opinion among us. If we go through a civil war, Israel will cease to exist, and the Jews will disperse in all directions out of hate for each other. It is only through a corrected form of education that we will be able to explain who we are, why we are so different, and what is required to correct ourselves. We must do this above all differences: to understand our destiny, connect correctly and project love to the rest of the world. Kabbalah says that we will connect. There needs to be the revelation of evil, and upon that, the disclosure of love.

How Jews and Arabs Can Find Peace
Oren Levi: Here is an example of an amazing partnership in sports: Adam Badir is an expert physiotherapist from the Arab village of Kfar Qasem, who worked with an Israeli athlete, Artem Dolgopyat, from the Israeli city of Rishon LeZion. Artem recently took gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Not only did Adam Badir take care of him during the Olympics, but he also supported Artem, like a big brother. When Artem got the gold, he was so excited that he broke out in tears. When you see such a special relationship between someone who was raised and lives in the Arab village of Kfar Qasem and someone who was raised and lives in the Israeli city of Rishon LeZion, you must ask yourself: when two people are so close, does the conflict between the nations disappear? Because of the friendship, perhaps they don’t feel it? Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: It is possible. When we are really partners in our achievements, then it is closer than anything else. Oren Levi: Is this a key that might let us rise above the dispute? Dr. Laitman: No, this dispute demands special treatment. Oren Levi: Is there some kind of formula for a life of peace? Dr. Laitman: It is possible, but on a condition that Jews will connect with each other. That will influence our Arab cousins too. Oren Levi: What will they feel then? Is there some kind of softening force to it? Dr. Laitman: They will feel that it attracts them. It is a force that compels us to reach love and connection—a strong, internal, and deep connection. It will bring the entire world, and all the more our cousins, to connect with us too. It is a law. There is nothing magical about it. It is the law of nature.

A Kabbalist’s Reflection on Ben-Gurion Day
Ben-Gurion Day is an Israeli national holiday celebrated annually on the sixth of the Hebrew month of Kislev (usually in November) to pay homage to the first Prime Minister of the State of Israel and one of its founding fathers. David Ben-Gurion was a visionary and uncompromising in his drive to create and sustain the Jewish state. He also felt that the sustenance of the Jewish state depended on the Jewish people’s unity: “Only on the basis of love your neighbour as yourself, can the State of Israel be established faithful to the great human destiny of Judaism." Likewise, Jewish disunity would lead to their—and the State of Israel’s—downfall. Jews have an obligation to live in mutual guarantee by helping one another, and by uniting above their differences. There is a need for education of unifying principles and tactics in order to allow for Jewish unity. The Jewish people can only reach their purpose by exercising the fundamental principles of love, which are the essence of the Torah.
