1. Rav’s Introduction: We are learning and we already feel that our path includes two sensations, influences, positive and negative influences, seemingly. On one hand, one comes as the vessel and the deficiency, the coarseness, the yearning, feeling sorrow to some extent and the other side is a revelation, light, sweetness and both have to connect to each other as we cannot feel one without the other. If I cannot depict to myself that I yearn for something great, important then I do not feel the lack for it and I do not have the vessel. If I only feel the deficiency and depict something to myself but I do not have the fulfillment for this lack, then I do not have the light either. We need to prepare ourselves for the morning lesson especially, also both for the feeling of the deficiency and the expectation of the fulfillment, then we feel both joy and sorrow and both sustain each other, they don't neutralize each other. In spirituality one does not hinder the other, they both connect on the middle line, and we yearn that both will be used together, combine together and they will give me a place for the correct spiritual perception.  This is why when we talk about it, in the past we talked about how we overcome the suffering, the emptiness we feel, and later will come to some wholeness, joy. But in truth the correct work is when we maintain the balance, the correct connection between this and that on the middle line, if we are only in sorrow then it is not called the right vessel, and if you have only good feeling it is not called fulfillment, but both have to be present in the created being and only in the correct form between them can he work correctly, and then come closer to the Creator as we learn. Let's say with the example of the guest and the host, that there has to be a feeling of a deficiency in the guest for whatever he wants to receive from the host, but he also has to have joy that he is receiving from the host in order to bestow to the host, then he grabs and accepts everything that he received from the host to give it back in order to bestow. Then it turns out all the inclination is towards the host, both in the deficiency and also in the fulfillment, then he himself is filled by the role that he is doing, this thing from the degree of adhesion that he discovers. This is actually the correct state which we have to reach, and here there may be some other points we need to scrutinize, there is also something which is not clear may be confusing, but it is good. Because through these confusions we will reach the correct scrutiny, however certainly we have to try to reach a state where both the darkness and the light, the night and the day, the feeling of the night and the day, the feeling of sorrow and joy they all come together, none of them will disappear, none of them repressed. They will complete each other and the more we will try to put them together to complete each other, by this we assemble the Kli for the revelation of the Creator, according to the deficiency and the screen and reflected light, through the degree of bestowing to Him, it'll all come together and we will understand how much of what he created in us he created it in a complete way it was not possible to create the created being in any other way so that he has nothing no reality that the Creator creates him from zero, and gives him all the elements, all the correct discernments, so that this created being should exist in wholeness just like the Creator. This is why we should not diminish the light, we should not diminish the darkness, but to live together, to connect together as we need both of them, and this way keep the correct Kli for the revelation of the Creator. That all the conditions that the Creator created in nature will connect there with the correct complementation of each other, and specifically in this mutual complementation when the right and left complement each other then we reach the middle line, by that we discover the condition for the revelation of the Creator.

2. S. (7:08) We talked about how to overcome the suffering and emptiness and come to wholeness and joy with the right work to maintain the balance so what is this balance?

R. The balance begins when we reach some good feeling and I feel that this good feeling does not satisfy me, unless I also awaken deficiencies, that I lack more deficiency so I can add more to the good feeling and to be in it with ever-greater orientation, with greater connection, understanding, discernments. Let's put it this way, what is the difference between a child being happy about something, laughing and feeling good, vs a grown-up being happy when the grown-up is happy about something, the difference between them is only in the sensation.  What is the sensation, the feeling of the grown-up is composed of many negative discernments while the child is just happy and everything is good just by itself. This is what we also need to understand that adding the darkness to the light in order to emphasize the light, to make the light even greater, this is what we consider as we have the oil, the wick and the light, like in the candle. So, we need a big candle, a lot of matter and the big wick, which is seemingly the negative things and the oil be inside that wick and that way it will burn. We will talk about it more I just want to talk about it that it is worthwhile for each person to follow himself, monitor oneself so that he is not just yearning for the good feeling but he wants to add to it also, the darkness, the sorrow and all of such things, searching so that the good feeling will be more refined, built more out of the correct deficiency. It is hard to convey this with words. We will try to understand it.

3. S. (10:18) How to correctly connect the darkness in order to increase the light?

R. Rabash writes about it in various places, also in these excerpts we are reading you will find them as well, but we need to realize that without adding the darkness, the criticism, so that the darkness would shine as a light we cannot do anything. The Creator only brings us a tiny candle and from the tiny candle we need to build. We need to build truly a very great light which will shine in the whole of reality, and this comes through the magnification, amplification of the Kli. That is the will to receive which was created opposite to the great light which created it, the will to receive, so we need to position them one against the other, not that one will turn off the other, God forbid, not wanting just this or that, but we want the middle line. To be concerned that it is like the oil and the wick and the light out of both we connect together, to be concerned about this, that we can join all of the problems and questions and failures and limitations so we will join all of them to our work, in a serious way with eyes open and all of that together with their friends, with this study, with the workshops. All of these will become one complex, one thing, the light in the darkness, so there will be no difference between them. On the contrary, we position them in a way that the form of the darkness will increase the light, to amplify the light. We have the same thing in technology also in our world in all kinds of systems, there we need resistance, collision and there is a result we get from the light, we all get the Creator's desire to give to the created beings and I according to my Kli, I am already impressed by this out of my vessel, from my desire and this is what I call light, the upper light. You know what it is like, for example, in technology when we build computers, devices with a high entry impedance, high resistance at the entrance, the signal which enters the device, won’t just enter into the device more than it is allowed to input, whatever amount of information but besides the information the device doesn’t get from the input signal, it doesn't receive its amplitude, its power but rather, it generates the power by itself. So it turns out that from the light we only get its bestowal, but only the example of bestowal. We ourselves will generate such responses of bestowal to it, by that we eventually bestow to the Creator and this is considered for us as our own inner light, I don't have other words but we will advance to it and this is already something new to be able to talk about it soon, so let's put it aside for the moment.

4. S. (15:22) You just said that we need to connect the good states to the bad states and then there was the question how from the darkness we can connect to the good state and ultimately the bad state will be equal to the good state, or the state of light is different?

R. We have to accept the states not as bad or good but something that was given to us, and it is above those measurements of bad or good, but this is something that we were given to work with and we need to work out of that. It should not influence me in a good way or bad way, of course it does influence me but we constantly have to balance ourselves, that I just accept those things equally and I add to it as much as I can more and more, by my agreement it will come, it will work out, the words are still lacking.

5. S. (16:57) There is such a question, when the person is in two states, day and night, in both states I have two vessels, gratitude and prayer, so in what case in terms of day and night, in what state do I need to use gratitude or a prayer?

R. You need to use both in every state, try to use gratitude and prayer, besides the prayer also in the construction of the vessel, the action inside the Kli, you need to use both.

6. S. (17:48) You mentioned before the device and I would like to give an example as a musician, similar thing happens in the musical instrument, it can be perfect but if it is not tuned to the right frequency we cannot play it, so it is the balance we have to find within the to states, so what is this state of balance between the two states, do I have to find it alone or with the group?

R. You have to find it with the ten because otherwise you cannot express yourself, you need to prepare the instrument, the vessel so you can play together with the ten, and without tuning the instrument towards the ten you cannot then tune it, because how is it considered that it is tuned, the fact that it is in the right connection with the ten then it is tuned. So together with the group you can put together your hearts into one heart like in a musical band or in a good orchestra, and then out of that the right melody and tune will come towards the Creator.

7. S. (19:21) The darkness and light are opposite states, how can you lift them, raise them?

R. I start to see slowly, slowly I start to see that in the feeling of the light, happiness, connection is not enough for me. I want to add to it a little bit of sorrow, a little bit of a lack, something that, out of that I reach the connection, out of the sorrow I come to the joy. Then I feel more the light, the sweetness, it is always so. Even for us. Each and everything that we feel, there’s something lacking there... from the pain. A little bit. Even in the greatest and the best things, in each and every thing, there has to be some participation of a deficiency, sorrow, some inclination, a little bit of salt, a little bit of pepper, a little bit of pain, something. Then the joy will grow by that, this is how we are built because all in all, we have to reach the maximum pleasure and we cannot feel it without having sorrow inside. Because we are not the Creator who only has light, the Upper Light without a Kli, rather we are built by the upper light as a Kli. Therefore, according to the impression in the Kli, we can feel the upper light.  

8. S. (21:53) Even before balance the instinctive response is to push away the darkness. How do you not push it away and not diminish it? 

R. Not precisely. Even when you begin to eat something, you feel you need some salt or a spice. What is the difference between all the different chefs and different dishes, if not specifically in those additions, in the spices that they add to the foundations of the food, to the elements, to the ingredients. You don't feel it yet, but soon you will feel it. This is why we started to talk about it now, as we begin to come closer to connection in the group and connection with the Creator, we will start to feel how much we are lacking the participation of pain, sorrow, so it will be inside, so it will join with the happiness and the wholeness and it specifically will elevate, increase the joy and the wholeness.

S. Pain and sorrow awaken on their own or do we have to add this kind of spice?

R. We will have to awaken them, we will feel that we lack them. Similarly to missing some pepper or some salt, we will feel it that way. It is very important because these flavors from the pepper and the salt, they are called suffering, those are the sufferings and they bring us the flavors. As we say, the flavors of the Torah, the flavors of light, most importantly. For the time being we are in such states where we are like babies, we just want to feel good and that's it. But later on as we grow up we need to add a deficiency, the flavors to the dishes, otherwise it will not be tasty. These are indications in our lives, and we need those in spirituality, as well, they will come. I am speaking in this way, about the near coming future.

9. S. (24:45) You said that we do not need to look for the bad.

R. This is not looking for the bad, I relate to the deficiency as a necessary thing, when I relate to the sorrow because I'm missing something, I do not relate to it as bad, I relate to it as a good ingredient. Because without it I cannot feel, cannot increase the good feeling, there is no good without bad, there is no bad without good, this is just the balance between them on the middle line, which gives the completeness.

S. The use of both means raises us above both?

R. Yes.

10. S. (25:36) Is it possible that if part of the ten feels distant in prayer and the other part feels joy, gratitude, how to connect it between us properly, because sometimes the gap seems very big?

R. This is a different question, we therefore need to relate to the ten as to a single complex, and it's not one part and another part, but we need to try to connect these two states together. Talk about it try not to argue with each other but try to connect these inclinations, those towards joy and the others towards sorrow and how can you make out of them a bouquet and we will see that it's impossible to have one without the other, and what we feel is actually the preparation for the perfect state.

11. S. (26:56) The Creator awakens the light and the darkness so when we reveal darkness and reveal bad, we don't feel that it comes from Him, why doesn't He show this to us?

R. Don't ask about the Creator because you won't understand, and these are just questions that only stop you from advancing. Of course, you get both from Him, all sensations come from Him, why do you get it? You immediately have to answer in order to advance through this feeling and onward and this is your problem, then whatever you get, you get from the Creator, yes, you get bad things from Him but we learn this, already we went through such lessons when we talk about it.  If I get up in the morning and feel that the world is dark, then I realize that I got it from the Creator so now I can get out of the feeling of darkness and I can begin to discern light in the darkness, but does that mean that it is not darkness and instead of that I want to feel the light, but I want to establish it as light that it is light at my feet, guiding me, it was given to me by the Creator and I'm even happier with the darkness than if I was entirely in light, feeling of closeness, happiness, full of energy, no, specifically now, that the Creator is giving me the darkness He gives me the possibilities to overcome it and take a step forward from me to Him.

12. S. (29:05) These flavors, the suffering, that something is missing they appear from mutual hate that we feel or from mutual love?

R. Both this way and that way, and this was the last time you could speak with that microphone, repair it or buy a new one!

13. S. (29:41) When we are working in the ten there are friends who are very inspired by the work and the connection, then there are others who are opposite and can't get this inspiration, so the question is there room in the group for both or from the outset all friends have to project the positive energy towards the group during the day?

R. I don't understand, we all go through different states. Like the different Sephirot in the 10 Sephirot, in some there is darkness in some there is light, there is the light of Hassadim, the light of Hochma, all kinds of different forms that then the Ten Sephirot include all the possible states. Therefore from the Keter which is full of light down to Malchut which is full of darkness, and in the middle all the other Sephirot which are in order to connect the abstract light with the abstract darkness and to come to such a complementation that the darkness would shine as light.

S. This is the question on the practical level, sometimes friends are in sorrow that they cannot connect, they feel detected, discouraged and others are inspired, happy.

R. Ok, so the frustrated friends who cannot connect, they carry a great desire in them, which is seemingly not realized but they have a great deficiency. Opposite to them we have the friends who specifically are inspired and they feel excitement, so we need to connect them gently together so we have such and we have such, and from both of them we get the states from the Creator. Then turn with a common prayer, and the prayers are also from the gratitude and request, from joy and the crying, all the different prayers, and therefore all in all when we go through these states together, when we want to support each other, and understand that nobody is redundant. We each need to have the excitement from the individual state in each and everyone, and we raise this excitement to the Creator, this is a complete prayer and in the prayer there are those who cry and those who are happy, and you will have someone in the middle who hardly feel any deficiency and then such that out of the inspiration and the feeling of their desire, would seemingly lose themselves and you have everything there.

S. Just another clarification sometimes there are states in the ten when friends come and say, don't show me that you are lacking something, always show the inspiration for connection. So, people with sorrow and they are being told to act, don't show me the bad side, always inspire me so is there a room to say this to the friends?

R. It depends on the state of the group, there is a group which needs to be shown that it is in the great descent, the other one wants to show that it is in an ascent and then one that feels itself broken in all kinds of different states, in this way, you have all kinds. The most important thing we have to realize is that through the correct complementation, when we don't coerce anybody from the friends, but through the correct complementation, combination in gentle one we reach a complete vessel and in the complete Kli, we have everything. It is truly like when we make some dish in that you have all kinds of different spices and they all cook together, they mix up and become ready for something. So, this is how it is in the group. We will work on it but I am happy that you are already getting these things

14. S. (34:49) If we work correctly, and we will enter quickly into this correction, into this acceleration process?

R. The advancement in the group depends on how much they feel that they complete each other, each of them has his own form, his own spiritual form, and the most important thing is in guarding each one's spiritual form, we feel how much everybody completes each of the others.

15. S. (35:44) When the pepper, the spice appears between us, this spark comes initially, there is a psychological response to try to level things, to sweep it under the carpet not to work with it, how to respond correctly?

R. If you are aimed towards the goal and you constantly want to make the goal greater, you constantly want to intermingle in the goal, the only disturbance you have between you, you see how much they all actually come from the goal to pull you towards it. From the complete state you receive all kinds of individual particular states which are not complete, and if you yearn in return for the goal, from that source from which you get everything, all of you in the group you received all kinds of changes and the disturbances, if you are aiming to that place and you want to connect in there, then you will see that from there you are pulled and this is what you have to reach, and then there is no problem with any of these disturbances. I hope it is clear, I hope I am speaking clearly.

16. S. (37:14) So we need to add pepper and salt in intention?

R. No, we don't need to dictate to the Creator what He needs to do. More salt or more pepper... because we cannot add and if we want to do something artificial then we are just spoiling things, we just need to bring about connection up to discovering the essence of the Creator inside the connection. So the connection between you will appear to you as the Creator, that you want to attain Him, you build Him from the connection between you. So much so that you will feel what else do we need to add in, a little bit of pepper little bit of salt, some temperature, what other qualities have to add, to integrate with or add so all in all the get in between us the form of our Creator, this is the force that created us. That abstract force which is abstract from any good or bad, and it is only giving us, influencing us to advance to attaining Him, adhering to Him completely as the goal and not all kinds of different sensations in the middle, so the joy will come from the fact that we are discovering Him, acting towards Him, and not from any other discernment, not from the will to receive even though we use the will receive to the fullest.

17. S. (39:13) How can we increase the sensitivity to day and night in the ten and can we compare the ten to the space of the mouth?

R. The cavity of the mouth...I don't know how to answer it. Some people, in your country, also, have a very special vessel, everybody has it, but sometimes it is more emphasized or less. There is a reason why they tend to build countries as seemingly the banner of freedom, the banner of independence, of revolutions, bringing mankind to a state where they are free, where they rise above all limitations, including the social ones. It is truly even written in their constitution as the very first item. This is why we do not understand how they can make cartoons, make fun of things which are holy for others, because for them according to their true spirit there is nothing that is holy or sacred. It is a true search. I am happy that they are constantly with us in all the different lessons, these are special people.

S. How is it possible to increase the sensitivity to day and night in the ten and whether the ten can be compared to the palate?

R. Yes, however, we have to search for it together, if you search for it then I am sure that you will start to discover it soon.

18. S. (42:27) Following what Rabash writes that we need to awaken and stand guard day and night to awaken the love in the friend’s heart, how should we understand this?

R. I need to try to bring the ten all the conditions, the necessary conditions in order to awaken the hearts of the friends towards love, what else is lacking in the ten, so the friends will become excited to such a connection we call love. Love means that each one feels or wants to feel the desire of the other. That is called love. Maybe in our world it is not like this because I can feel the desire of the other without a relation through an emotional attitude towards him. But in spirituality it is all emotional. So, if I try to fulfill the desire of the other, that is, to be in the place of the friend, instead of him, in order to help him to reach the right connection with the others and to help him to feel in the connection to the others to be already adapted for the revelation of the Creator, this is love. How is the love of the mother to the baby expressed, by the fact that she is willing to do everything instead of him, this is what you need to do in the group.

S. Is this in my attitude, or is it important to just do some action and it does not matter how much I love him, what is the difference?

R. Specifically by this you reveal how much you love them. The fact that we need to reach according to the commandment "love others as yourself", this means that I need to feel myself as responsible for bringing the friends to adhesion with the Creator. By this my love to him is expressed. Just like the mother who loves her baby and she wants to raise him so he will be big and healthy and smart more than everybody. This is called love and this is how we have to try to help each and every friend at least in my ten, so that he will grow so much as to be in adhesion with the Creator.

S. But for us, it always ends up being the opposite. As much as I labor in aiming my actions towards the ten, I get negative responses in return!

R. What you received from the ten you received from the Creator, through the ten, from the Creator. So let's say now you hear that you are receiving it from the Creator, so what will be your response, tell me?

S. I try to specifically, as much as I can, that state which I receive as night I try to somehow exert in whatever way I can.

R. Do you receive from the ten a negative response?

S. It is hard to say, as sometimes it is very difficult to take a step forward in the direction of the ten.

R. When you bestow to the group and try to advance the group to the Creator and you see a certain response from them, then you need to respond to the Creator and then you begin to do that by further connecting them and advancing them to the Creator, and then this way through the group you begin to speak to the Creator, you will begin to feel that this is not a group but it is a device through which you have a connection with the Creator, because through the device you are working towards them and the Creator and then towards Malchut and Keter, with the Creator, so you are constantly in this kind of communication through the ten. Try to see how you are able to start communicating with the Creator and the friends will become like a communication device.

19. S. (48:19) Yesterday we had a meeting with the groups and there was a feeling that the friends are dissolving into each other, so what should we do to deepen the connection between us?

R. I do not know, you have to see how to do it, I think the main thing is to be at the morning lesson and then during the day or at night you have to talk about how the day went by, and how you realize what you heard during the morning lesson, through the connection. The main thing is to achieve connection to the point that we discover the Creator and then the Creator will begin to work with us and attract us to go after Him. So be all together in the morning lesson and then after that during the day or in the evening, talk about how the day went by in relation to the lesson, about how you managed to realize the lesson, how it happened.

20. S. (49:48) What would be the right synchronization which can advance us in the work of the ten?

R. Everybody understands that the strengthening of the general connection, as much as it seems different in everybody's vessels, but this is our regular work that comes to a form of connection that call the Creator and this is what we have to work on.

21. S. (50:24) In what way do I give the friends the spices, so they achieve a good taste in the work?

R. This is something you need to look for, what seems to them as good and awakening.

22. R. Each one of us knows if you have no desire you cannot move, sometimes I have a lot of time but I don't come to the study to the reading or hearing of a lesson, I can’t obligate myself, there is no deficiency. So the most important is the deficiency and this is what we have to understand where each shall help his friend, we shall have to pull our friends throughout the day to study something, to read something, to send something to one another. As much as possible to awaken one another because if a person is not impressed by the others then even the deficiency that he gets by himself it's a deficiency he gets from the Creator it doesn't count as a person's own deficiency. I want to sit and study or get up and do something, this all comes from Above. Only the deficiency that I get from the friends, I awaken them, they awaken me, this deficiency is called our deficiency.

23. S. (58:20) In order for the deficiency to become a spice is it enough to attribute it to the Creator and share it with the friends or is there something in addition?

R. No just start processing it with the friends and see how to correctly relate to it and also look at the articles that you will read together.

24. S. (59:10) Can we resemble these things that can awaken the appetite to the prayer before the prayer?

R. Yes, that is okay.

25. S. (59:30) When the opposites complement each other become one or does one help the other?

R. They amplify each other and this is how they grow, just like a person walking on two legs, climbing up the ladder, right left, right left, this is how it goes.

S. Can we say that the middle line is the product created out of the connection between the opposites and one of these characteristics is that it is much better than each one of the two opposites?

R. It is a result of two lines more than that I cannot say as there are many discernments here in that.

26. S. (1:00:37) Asking whether the deficiency we spoke about is related to the thickness of the desire?

R. The deficiency is measured by coarseness, Aviut, yes.

27. S. (1:00:56) How is it possible to maintain and keep the deficiency?

R. You don't need to maintain the deficiency. You always advance towards connection and the results from that will be different deficiencies that will appear and we don't need to keep. We need to long for connection and the final goal is connection of everyone to a single point. Meaning that we will have many desires, many deficiencies, many different goals as it will seem to everyone until it all becomes compressed together into one concept.

28. S. (1:01:50) What determines the transition from the individual personal feeling to the complete form?

R. That I become integrated with the friends and I want to support them, caring about them and only by pushing them, literally to the direction of connection and the Creator that will appear in them, in that I see the realization of my role.

29. S. (1:02:39) If the sorrow leads to the labor why do you call someone who lost everything he has a fool, doesn't he feel the sorrow for losing it?

R. I don't have anything to say what do you call a fool, a fool is one who doesn't feel where he is. That is very undesirable. We need to always be in states where it is clear to us what do we receive from whom, how we respond, through the ten, that we will have a tight connection through the ten to the Creator.

30. S. (1:03:51) What is the connection between the Aviut from the awakening from below and the awakening from above?

R. The connection is a special one. If it is an awakening from below it is from the group to the Creator if it is from above it is from the Creator to the group. Each and everyone in the group can feel it personally, but in order to identify what we receive from the Creator, we have to connect between us and then see what we receive. Otherwise we have no connection or communication with the Creator if we are not connected between us. So to bestow to the Creator we have to be connected, to receive from the Creator we have to be connected. We have to always renew the connection between us. We can't maintain the connection between us for eternity, we have to renew it each time, increasingly more each time.

31. S. (1:05:22) We define sorrow as a bad condition but in the article it refers to labor, can you define sorrow more?

R. The fact that I feel my vessels empty, they are empty but I am happy about this feeling because it awakens me to work and then my sorrow becomes joy and the darkness that I don't feel in my vessels as some revelation, some light, this darkness becomes light for me. Why? Because now I have a yearning to the Creator and this yearning to the Creator is actually my light, it's not the light that I had before as I wanted to know and fulfill myself, now the light to me is a light of bestowing to the Creator. So I see that through the darkness and sorrow that I receive from the Creator I can turn my vessels from vessels of reception to vessels of bestowal and from the darkness and emptiness, to light and fulfillment. All depending only upon my attitude. Listen to this again afterwards.

32. S. (1:07:31) I heard you say, if there is no lack then you can connect with the friends and read an excerpt together.

R. Yes of course, during the day you should do that.

S. Can we also do this spontaneously?

R. I'm not dictating this to you, stop being babies do you need to understand without it you're not going to grow and you're going to have to determine your own ways of connecting, look at what Rabash writes, just search for it and do it.

S. With which vessels do I see that the darkness is actually good for me, that the difficulties and the problems...?

R. Vessels of bestowal.

33. S. (1:08:34) How to not hinder the Creator in His work?

R. When I try to be in connection with Him through the ten. That is the line of communication that I want to maintain and by that I am not hindering Him.

34. S. (1:09:14) How can we strengthen the connection between us and then between us and the Creator?

R. Tell yourself at least 10 times a day that without connecting to the friends you are not connecting to the Creator. That is it, that is a communication device, what can you do?
