1. Rav’s Introduction: Very, very close to today's lesson, about an hour and a half ago I received a letter from a student who is depressed, despaired does not have anything to do, feels lost. He has no desire, he has no urge, no interest and also he says that in the world, which I do not know, he says that there is no power to live, no power to hold on, that I had such states although not like that. So I don't know what's going on, is this a physical state or a spiritual state, and I want to answer him now before everybody, that this is a great gift that a person feels that he is empty when he wakes up in the morning, and feels empty. This is the creator first of all, as there is none else besides Him, it all comes from Him, the Creator wants him to go through a revision of who he is, for what goal he wants to live for, if it is worthwhile living for such a goal, and this feeling of emptiness that the vessel is empty is the sign of a new vessel as we learn in the wisdom of Kabbalah. That the vessel does the coupling and then it is filled and then it is emptied, how it is emptied by the surrounding life pressuring from outside, and the surrounding light pressuring the vessel takes all the inner light and the vessel remains empty, there is no inner light which gives it light for today, there is no light that was in it which is departed so there is no present and there is no future. People in the world, if they have such a feeling they put an end to it, they commit suicide from such an empty state. For us it is the opposite, we have to do the opposite, we have to be happy in that if there is no light for the present or the future that means that I am changing a degree, I am standing in front of a new state and the new state starts from complete zero. I need to shut my eyes, not listen to anybody, nothing from outside, it is not worthwhile. I need to acquire my new degree and not to be impressed by anything or anyone, this way I need to enter the group and only integrate in them, only integrate, connection, connection, only that not more. Then by that and as a result of the connection, a new light will come and starts fulfilling me and then I will see that I truly have a new degree, a new state and I am moving forward. Meaning that we start a new day is always like that, there was evening and there was morning, one day, so the day, the spiritual day is starting not from waking up but it starts from the night, from the darkness and then there is morning and then there is day. So it is always from the night, day one, day two, day three, we always count from the night. So what he wrote and I hope that he is hearing me, this indicates help from above that the Creator gave him a sense of darkness and the Creator says that there shall be evening and there shall be dawn, a new day. Let us get accustomed to waking up in the morning with a feeling of darkness, emptiness, a new awakening, understanding, searching this may take a while before the lesson before I actually wake up and come to the lesson with a new strength and then there is truly a new day, ok, do you understand?
2. WSQ: (5:48) Let's have a workshop on this! How should we try to feel in the morning that it is a new day not to put ourselves artificially into the darkness, but to search for what am I missing so it will be as darkness for me and that I go to the lesson in order to find the day, so what is night what is day that I need to have right now today?
3. WSQ: (9:53) When I feel darkness in life and there is no present, no future, how does that become joy, how does that become reward, how does that become illuminating? What am I missing, what else do I need to receive in order for this darkness to shine for me, so I will be happy to have the darkness so from the darkness it will seem to me as the light of a new day? What do I have to add to the darkness and the more I have helplessness and weakness the more I have these vessels that can bring me more and more power of the new light? What do I have to add?
4. WSQ: (13:23) How do I transcend this black, dark state with faith above reason, how do I rise above the black state in faith above reason?
5. WSQ: (16:23) What is the difference between the light I would like to receive during the darkness and the light that appears in faith above reason? What is the difference between the lights I would like to appear during the darkness which is the light of reason which I ask for, and the light which I am now asking for to appear to me as light, above reason, the light of Bina instead of the light of Malchut? What is the difference between these two lights?

6. S. What strength can the person use to subjugate himself?
R. The Creator is ultimately the general system in which we exist and we never receive from the system any difficult state, a state which we could not overcome. It is exactly measured according to the order of degrees from above down, unfolding from the world of Ein Sof to this world, the person is always given that he can overcome. So the person is never given a state which he cannot overcome, never, but he feels that he has no power, not enough support, not enough preparation, but that also is taken into consideration from above and he is given according to the preparation that the person did. If he disregards the conditions he is given and he is not preparing himself to the degree he needs to rise to, then he has to rise but he is not rising and instead he is falling and even this fall is a correction, it is the revelation of the disease and it helps him to progress and to shake himself and rise above that state, so we need to understand that from above one is not given some failure for no reason it is happening in a precise correctly measured way through such exercises which will make him a whole men and that is happening with everybody.
S. To agree with such states we need some strength?
R. Of course we need to overcome the states we are not going into some vague states, we need to collect all the data we have in the group, in the study, in support, in everything we have in order to advance, but they have it, we have it. The system itself creates the next state in a way that it takes into account all the previous states, makes calculations and brings us something to execute for the next state. It is impossible without this, if you saw the entire system around you you would see that yes, this is prepared for me and I am capable of using it, I just need to relate to it in a calm and measured way that leads to the purpose of creation, and this is what we need to do. The main thing is to organise the whole system.
S. If I discovered suddenly that the agreement with the state, even that I am taking from the will to receive, this agreement which comes from the same nature of reception, that the ego yields for some profit, For me I am entering the same trap.
R. You cannot advance without the will to receive, of course you still measure and calculate everything in the world to receive but you still make an account towards the goal and therefore there is progress. It is like with kids, like with all of us before we enter spirituality, for lack of a better choice we make calculations in the will to receive, it will solve itself, and it will work out, I promise you, you will be happy, you will be grateful and I am with you.
7. S. (29:56) According to what is written in the article we are asking the Creator to give the force to rise above reason towards the greatness of the Creator, and then he says that they don't want the Creator let them reach it?
R. The Creator does not appear with full power but to give them the opportunity to overcome the obstacles, not by them seeing that He is truly great because then the greatness does the job, and they want to do the job on their own, without any obvious revelations, support from Him that appears in their will to receive. There is an adult and you want to do some work for him because you appreciate him as someone great and he tells you, do this work for me and I'll give you 1 million dollars. And you want to do this work not because of the $1,000,000 but because you respect him, you want to give him contentment so how can you do that? He wants to give you the million dollars so how do you face this dilemma? Do you do it to receive the million dollars or because he is great and you want to work for him? So how do you do it for him, how are you certain that you do it for him and not to receive the $1,000,000 for yourself? You cannot not receive it as he's going to pay you. But how can you do the work not for the million dollars but because he is great, because you respect him? How do you do it? How are you going to move away from this temptation of the $1,000,000 as it stands before your eyes? That you want to work for him but the million dollars is a disturbance. If he was not showing you the payment, then you could simply overcome it. Ok he's great and I will work for his greatness. But if you also have the great reward which fills up your whole vessel of reception, then what can you do? Do you have an answer, do you have a solution? I am in that state I want to do everything for the Creator for his greatness because He is unique and He is pure giving. I appreciate His quality and I want to be like Him. I want to resemble Him. I want to do everything for bestowal. But the $1,000,000 is a problem because my evil inclination sits there, and once the million dollars is there I cannot disconnect from that. Do you have any solution?
8. WSQ: (33:45) Let's have a workshop to find a solution. How do I do something for the Creator because I respect Him and not because He is giving this $1,000,000 to me? I don't want the compensation in my vessels of reception so how can I work with this?
9. WSQ: (39:11) So on one hand I have $1,000,000. it is always in front of me. It attracts me and I cannot disconnect from it even if I want to. On the other hand I have the opportunity to do this work not for the $1,000,000 but for the Creator, for the greatness of the Creator. So how can I do this right? There I have a group. So how do I use the group to determine that I shift from the million dollars to bringing contentment to the Creator? Can I do this in practice or is this actually the solution? How can I do that?
Question again: On one hand I work for the Creator to make Him great in my eyes and I bring Him contentment, or I can do the same work because by that I receive a million dollars. So both come from the Creator, the million dollars or His greatness. So how do I detach myself from the million dollars and shift myself to bringing contentment to Him for free, only to give Him contentment? Why's it for free? Because I don't want to reveal Him. I don't want to discover Him. It is all in one direction - in order to bestow. How can the group help me? I already gave you the solution. Just put these things together. So how does the group help me not to work for the million dollars but to bring contentment to the Creator, making a pure action of giving?
10. WSQ: (45:31) If I come to a connection with the group to such an extent that it gives me is strength to work only in order to bestow to them and through them to the Creator, then it is a sign that the group is filling the vessel of million dollars, this is how I can measure the spiritual strength of the group compared to the physical strength of the dollars. We have an ability inside the person to create this scale, the balance, how much one goes up the other goes down, which one is more important less important so we will acquire some connection between the spiritual and the corporeal values. Do we have such a thing in the group, can I say that we can do it? How do we build this device in order to measure spirituality in dollars, later we will need to do it, seriously measuring the fulfillments the same way! How do we build this device, this scale that works in this way, this is a spiritual pleasure and this is physical pleasure and then how can the group create this line to connect the two, to compare the two. So in the group I connect to this word and the spiritual world? How do we build these scales in the group?
11. WSQ: (50:39) How do these scales turn into a device to climb the ladder, into an instrument to climb the ladder, how can we turn this instrument of the scales which weighs what is more what is less, to an instrument which is now taking us up the steps like an elevator?
12. WSQ: (54:20) What is in the middle of these scales swinging in this direction and that direction, so what is this point that constantly stays fixed, what is that fixed point that over which the scale tips towards money or towards the greatness of the Creator and this is how we climb, but what's happening in the middle, what is happening to us in the fixed point in the middle? How can we build these scales between us that has the balancing point between them, what characterizes this fixed-point, the point of balance?
