1. Rav’s Introduction:
We have a few friends, those are Acoca, Dudi ... a few others, a few other friends joined them, I don't know how many exactly, but I'm always in touch with Acoca and Dudi. Each day they send me the excerpts that they select, they likely have many people who help them. They can't search and obtain all these excerpts by topic by themselves. It might be a good idea for them to explain to us how they do it, but that's what they do and they called me and they say we sent you excerpts from such and such a topic. Meaning more or less they choose the topic, sometimes they consult with me, sometimes not so much, and that's quite all right. They feel the flow that we have to go through and later according to the texts that they sent, I speak. In the beginning of the lesson every morning. First of all, thank you for them doing this so loyally and meticulously, persistently. They've been doing it for many years, for a long time that we've been working together and this time they sent me excerpt from the sources on the topic of concealment. Concealment is the most important thing for us because if we are still in our egoistic will to receive then what I want is to discover where He is, to have the power to have the knowledge to have the discernment where am I, what am I, most importantly where am I? All of it is called concealment.
The wisdom of Kabbalah really revolves around the concealment and revelation of the Creator to the created beings. This is called to be in a state of posterior or the face, in direct connection and its opposite because with respect to the Creator there are no two states. The whole entire land is full of His glory, the upper light is an absolute rest everything is relative to a person so how can a person discover his ... directly which is the face of the Creator or indirectly which is the posterior of the Creator? We don't have anything but these two states, so this topic of concealment is the most important. The topic of concealment we have work the Creator created the concealment intentionally so that we would not want to open up the concealment the way it is as our ego wants to just cancel it, remove it, and that's it. We ask and we demand for many years and we don't understand that the approach has to be completely different, opposite.
The concealment the Creator has made is for our sake so that we would build and organize by ourselves, uphold the spiritual world, our view of reality where we would prepare ourselves for the meeting with the Creator. Not that He would simply revoke the concealment. It wouldn't do us any good, we would not change, we would remain egoistic, so it's impossible we won't be able to reach a state where we are like the Creator. Rather, the entire concealment was given specifically so I would come to a state of revelation on the condition that I build in myself that upper world. I build in myself that shape of the Creator and then to that extent I discover Him, the upper world. It's not that I'm demanding for the upper world to open up before me. Rather to the extent that I will replace my will to receive with the desire to bestow according to equivalence of form, such resemblance; therefore our work is not to let our ego decide how for us, how do I feel, how do I react, am I in concealment or in revelation? On the contrary, I have to maintain the concealment by myself so that inside the concealment, specifically there to build the upper world according to how I portray it, according to the degrees of my correction where I have to imagine what kind of relationships need to be between me and everyone in my world where the Creator allowed me to see such and such different relationships. I have to relate to everyone in such a way as if I am already in revelation in the upper world meaning to turn our egoistic relationship to the opposite too kind, to giving, love, connection.
Then, I will see that each time the Creator is revealing to me a more sophisticated concealment it is so I will build from those concealments that appear to me. I will relate to those forms of concealment in a way that I understand that I don't want to cancel them. I don't demand revelation in what's before me. Rather, I want to have the revelation in me, that I will change and then according to the measure of change in me, correction in me. I will see my degree of resemblance, equivalence to the upper world, to the eternal world. If that's the case, we need to see our state as the best possible state, the most correct state that the Creator arranged for us so we would change our quality to the opposite quality, our relationship to the opposite through these concealments. We have to comb and search through these concealments searching for the way we are in right now and what do we need to demand in place of that? Not for the concealment to disappear and then what will I see? Rather I will see just like in our world only according to the law of equivalence of form. If I can see here, identify something, detect something according to the senses I have, then only in them will I see the world and I can't see more than that. In the spiritual world according to the senses I prepare for the feeling of the spiritual world, accordingly I will see it. I need to always know how do I advance? How do I reach equivalence with the upper world, how do I develop my senses to open up more and more until I reach the world of Ein Sof, a limitless world?
That's our path, that's our goal. We also see these things gradually appearing in our world as well. Our world, at the current stage, is teaching us that we are in a single vessel, we are all interconnected. The connection between nations, continents and all of our lives around the world, everything is very close, this connection is to be established and the passed through travel and commerce, trade. These days it's through problems, diseases, pandemic. Nevertheless, that all connects us to one system. It will actually be easier for us to reach our change and our correct relationship to the spiritual world, the outside world. Because it's not me alone or the small group of Bnei Baruch, rather the whole world is starting to look for the correct forms that are coming and accordingly how will we build our lives? What's happening to us, where are we? Subconsciously, today almost in each and every person in the world, there are such thoughts swirling through his head and he is having these questions. Our work then, the revelation of the true world, the spiritual world, is an opposite kind of work where we don't yearn to discover the spiritual world. In truth there's nothing to reveal because it does not exist. We need to build it from our relationships from our corrected qualities.
Everything depends on the relationship between us, the connection between us, building a new kind of relationship specifically because they're concealed and we need to search for it and he shall help his friend and help each other mutually a great group covering all continents, we need to try and be more connected. Try to build a system that will reveal to us according to equivalence of form, the system will reveal the upper world to us a world that by itself does not exist. It's the abstract upper light and the reality is what we build in the connection between us. Revealing this reality, we are learning from the study of TES that we need to be on the lookout to make sure that this reality will not be revealed. Rather we need to be in concealment where, even if the upper light would come, we don't want it we restrict it. The opposite until we reveal the correct form of relationships between us, the relationship between us and the Creator meaning the system, it has to exist in our system between the broken souls. Until then we don't want anything to be revealed or it will work against us. That's why we insist on our restriction, the Masach, reflected light and we want to arrange and establish for ourselves the upper world. To the extent that we do it correctly according to the changes in us, according to how we connect, accordingly it will be revealed and we will see that you, me, we are building this world from the correct relationship between us and similarly we are building the Creator from the connection between us.
As we say from the Creator, “you have made Me” and this is all given to a person so he would be as the upper force and by that he comes to equivalence the form with his upper root which is the Creator. Meaning, we need to try and gradually go from the egoistic view of things and a desire for things, to open up by themselves to a desire, where are we are unsure that it will open up. Rather we open it up, it will not reveal itself, rather we discover it, we will reveal it that the Creator will be revealed as the source of help that is teaching us, guiding us, connecting us according to our requests, leading us, according to our prayers and that's how we move forward. Hence, the concealment that we feel is for our sake, for our benefit, we have to go over it with you we have to find more excerpts where Kabbalists write about it in order to know how to correctly relate to the concealment in order to know how to understand the Creator and ask for the correct things from Him, not revelation, but correction. 2. S. (17:46) If you can give a simple definition of concealment and how I can evaluate myself if I am in concealment or maybe not even in concealment?
R. I feel the concealment according to how much I yearn for something that's concealed from me. If I wouldn't feel it concealed, I would yearn for it. Everything is in the world. I don't understand it, but I don't feel them as existing, I have no attraction to them. Meaning concealment is the posterior of the revelation. There are many tendencies towards what I would like to reveal and I choose what's more important and what's less important and this way I put together my life. What am I drawn to? What do I have to do? How do I build my life? So that I will eventually reveal what's concealed from me. We need to reveal the Creator. Adhesion in the Creator means the final complete revelation of the Creator, this is called adhesion. The question is how do I come to adhesion? That's what we need to find out. The Creator is not concealed, rather we are concealing Him with our qualities. Therefore, a change of our qualities according to the Creator is called correction, so I have to think how do I make corrections in me? I come to those things that Kabbalists write about, the group, the study and gatherings with friends and so on. I shouldn't confuse myself with other things. I also need to be aware, check when I'm turning to the Creator, consciously or subconsciously, what am I looking for? Am I asking Him to cancel the concealment? That will be to my detriment or am I asking Him to maintain the concealment and under it I will perform, I will create such garments over myself where accordingly I will be able to reveal it by myself and the concealment will gradually fall away. Concealment is the world's, the world from the word, HaElemah, concealment and to the extent that I add those garments on me that match the Creator, the concealment, these veils disappear and through the correct garments, I can reveal the Creator, both show myself towards the Creator and also reveal the Creator towards me.
3. S. (21:31) What is the meaning of concealment that is more sophisticated?
R. It is not so important for us now because concealment always matches the person. If a person has the strength and the reason to discover the concealment and to rise above it, meaning to rise, use it correctly, then that's what he should do. Whether or not it's sophisticated, there's no such thing really.
4. S. (22:29) How do we build between us the upper world and at the same time keep the Creator and concealment between us?
R. It's the same. You can't build the upper world in the connection between you, meaning such relationships of the bestowal, love and connection unless you maintain the concealment of the Creator between you and for its revelation to take place in the relationship between you, the actions between you. That's how you need to build yourselves, very simple, try to construct a relationship of the upper world, meaning of the bestowal and love in the ten and you will see that you are constructing a whole world in it and the Creator is revealed in that world as a primary source of you and that world.
5. S. (23:38) How do I know that I'm building the right conditions to enter spirituality? What are the feelings that I'm on the right path and I'm not going into new illusions?
R. There's no room here for Illusions. Rather you need to try and build such relationships between the friends until you become one thought, one desire. Although you're different but despite your differences, you are connected between you, as if belonging to a single system. Each one with his inner qualities, but all of you together connected to one goal mutually. Think about it, read about it, integrate with one another and that is how you construct the upper world. The upper world is a relationship of love and bestowal between you. This is the upper world because in these relationships you are beginning to discover the true spiritual world, the whole world and you will see that our egoistic relationships completely don't exist in reality. Rather it was given to us as the imaginary world.
6. S. (25:27) It's interesting to know we all know that the Creator is Himself and I in my ten never think about revealing Him because that's impossible. We always picture when we talk about the Creator, we are talking about the quality of the Creator bestowal and love, it's not clear to me what we should want as a result. We need and want for the quality of bestowal and love to be revealed.
R. We want the quality of bestowal to be revealed between us because this quality of bestowal is the quality of the Creator this is how the Creator is revealed between us as the quality of bestowal, it's not something that's like something material appears, some matter. Rather is the quality of the bestowal and love, giving. This is the Creator. If we wish to reveal Him, we need to construct Him, to make Him between us. To that extent, we reveal Him.
7. S. (26:53) If we're talking about revelation, which is the opposite of concealment, what are we wanting to discover? The force hidden and the connecting force, of the loving force, what is the revelation?
R. What you said, a force that's concealed between us we discover according to equivalence of form, to the same extent we can establish such a force between us and the Creator appears in that force. This means that the upper light clothes in the reflected light that we generate between us. That's how we advance. That's precisely the process we have to go through.
8. S. (27:49) Are there any degrees in the concealment and does this revelation of concealment mean a new state for a person?
R. We have a hundred and twenty five degrees in concealment and when we climb through each and every degree, it's called 125 degrees of revelation until the complete salvation. Until the complete revelation of the Creator.
9. S. (28:33) Yesterday it seemed to me like I was fighting with concealment all day with my opaque heart. Every half hour I was trying to ask for the friends, connect with them and today you see I don't need to want revelation, but I need to try and let it go.
R. What do you mean?
S. I wanted to feel the friends, the connection with them all day yesterday and I didn't succeed, but I was trying as much as I could.
R. It's a sign that you discovered the concealment, that you couldn't do it. This is called concealment. You wanted to be in revelation with your friends and you couldn't and you managed to discover, to reveal that you are not connected to them. That's also good, it's also along the way, because without the perceiving concealment there is no subsequent revelation.
S. What you're saying is I have to maintain the concealment, I shouldn't want revelation?
R. We're talking about the Creator, but not with the friends. With the friends we need to come to be as one man, in one heart and to that extent we are preparing our hearts into one where we feel the Creator. According to the distance between the friends and how much we are able to bring them closer, according to these two measures, the concealment and the revelation of the revelation of the relationship between us, accordingly, we make room for the revelation of the Creator. The Creator will be as a result of the revelation and concealment of the friends in my heart. Accordingly, I prepare myself for the revelation of the Creator in the separation between us and in the closeness between us, that's how I reveal my feelings darkness and light, concealment and revelation. 10. S. (31:15) In our ten, this question came up; we know we need not want concealment specifically, but you have to support the concealment in the ten. How do we do it?
R. We don't aspire to reveal the Creator because it's impossible. The Creator is a result of the connection between us. The quality of the connection between us, where we construct the correct system of relationship between us as a result of the system when it starts to work as one thing although it includes ten separate opposite parts but when it can work together like that, this sum total it's called the Creator. Let's say you're taking different parts of the engine and you arrange it, the engine and all its parts are working in different ways, opposite ways but in general they cause the general work of the engine. So this general work of the engine that you obtain through the various forms of relationship between but when you close yourself in one system, this is called the Creator.
11. S. (33:02) What characterizes the concealment that is before the revelation?
R. In the concealment that is before the revelation, it is always opposite and corresponding to the revelation teaches us about the revelation.
12. S. (33:28) You said earlier that the created being or we, as soon as we get the light, we have to reject it in order to work above reason. Now my question is, in practice is there a situation where we are standing in that situation or is it something intended for higher degrees than ours?
R. I don't know how to play with all these definitions above reason rejected, not rejected. I know that in the connection between us we need to set up this mutual system where we want the force of connection to dwell in between us, among us.
13. S. What does it mean to maintain the concealment?
R. To maintain the concealment means to first of all not want the Creator to simply reveal Himself. To understand that if I don't construct Him or the conditions for His revelation, He will not show Himself. I need to construct such connections between us so the upper light would appear in them in the smallest measure, at the very least, meaning the relationship between us, despite our differences need to be in bestowal, to match the same tendency for connection and then come with the friends mutually to a state where the upper light wishes to enter, wishes to clothe in us according to our efforts, our exertion and it pushes us forward more and more by various actions on its part. Maybe, perhaps unpleasant ones, but we accept it as a correct guidance towards the state of connection.
S. There's this hidden part in our work that you talked about, but it's not clear what we should do practically?
R. Practically, we need to constantly think how do we relate to one another, the way we learn about it from the qualities of bestowal? Do I rise above myself and think only of the connection? Do I awaken not myself but the friends? Do I care about their advancement in the studies and various actions between us so they will feel a sense of upliftment and the awakening capability? That's how I care about them. Each one who relates to his ten like a mother to her kids, truly so.
S. A part of maintaining the concealment, what does that mean? Let's say the Creator wants to be revealed and I tell Him, no, what is this action?
R. Because I want the Creator to be revealed and I tell Him, ‘I don't want You to be revealed.’ If I always had, sometimes I had such thoughts that I wish the Creator to be revealed, then I stopped myself and I begin to explain to myself, that the Creator cannot reveal Himself in this way and there is nothing to be revealed. What is revealed as the quality of bestowal, the form of connection between us and if I don't build it, it cannot be built by itself. Hence, I stop myself from this natural tendency of mine to turn to Him to reveal Himself. That's not what we're asking for, we're not asking for the revelation of the Creator. If we are, we are doing it in order to be good in His eyes, to give Him contentment but it doesn't happen by revealing Him. He wants to be revealed, but in the correct form, according to our equivalence with Him. The minute we are equivalent between us to His smallest quality, smallest measure, He appears in it. He stands and then he pressures us to do it. Out of that we get the feeling of yearning for it, yearning for spirituality because the Creator wishes to be revealed and He's applying this general pressure on us.
S. So we should add an active action during the day, I remind myself that I want the Creator to be revealed to me?
R. I don't think in this way, I'm trying not to think. Rather, I wish to reveal the Creator as the force of bestowal between the friends, for the Creator to be BoReh, come and see, He is the correct force of bestowal between the friends. When this force becomes apparent, it means that I am revealing the Creator. The Creator is the sum total of the force of the bestowal that we are activating between us.
14. S. (40:20) We learn that we have the light and the vessel and maybe if I'm saying correctly that vessel is the love of the friends and the Creator is the light that dresses in the friends. Does that mean we have to yearn to have love of friends, but reject the light that dresses in it?
R. No. You don't have to reject anything, it'll come, it's not for now. For now we have to think only of one direction, to have between us the connection that needs to exist between the parts, the different parts of the spiritual rules that we will put together the parts of the soul.
S. And this is done by work to obtain love of friends?
R. Sure.
S. So we don't have to work with concealment, we just try to find this vessel, we need not reject anything, we just have to work for the revelation of love of friends?
R. Yes.
S. This we should demand?
R. Yes. This is the same to reveal love of friends or to reveal the 10 Sephirot that belong to one Partzuf. It's all one and the same that's how it will be revealed.
15. S. (41:42) Could it be possible to reach the total quality of bestowal in the ten? In this world?
R. Of course this is our goal. This is what we call, you can see our world in your lifetime. Here in this corporeal world, we exist here as we feel it through our five senses, right here we need to reach the end of correction and to short-circuit these two ends of reality together.
16. S. (42:33) We learn that the purpose of creation is the revelation of His godliness to His created beings in this world. That's His Godliness mean connection between the friends?
R. Yes, for this connection to be as the NRNHY that clothes in the connections between us in the ten and that light that's revealed, the Inclusive, it will be called the Creator.
17. S. (43:11) If I want my ten to achieve connection, what should I demand of them and with what complaint or demand do I have to come to them?
R. I need to set an example, where the example that I set I awaken them, I awaken the upper force, I awaken myself and then you don't need more than the example.
S. But what's the best example when I tell them to do something?
R. Not that you say, but that you do and they feel what you do.
18. S. (43:59) If we could have workshops to deal or engage with concealment?
R. Go ahead do it, do it. I can't do it for you because we have no time for it. I'm as it is each and every day I'm taking a step forward, at least in the first part of the morning lesson.
19. S. (44:38) Why does revelation not become a glue for the work between us to continue onto further revelations?
R. If it's the correct kind of revelation it pulls behind at the entire chain of revelations and concealments. It's not a question. If it's correct when it works in such a way that the concealment will carry us forward, we will continue.
20. S. (45:19) When a person yearns for connection with the friends, love with the friends and overtime he looks and sees, but new qualities opposite the Creator appear in him.
R. It's all correct, what then?
S. Then he understands, seemingly, that a monster appears in him. I don't even know what to call it and he feels that he's not coming closer to the Creator in any way, shape or form. He simply moves away from Him and then he is left this unclear egoism. You can't see anything. How to turn to the Creator?
R. It's all clear and it's written in many places that he who is greater than his friend, his the desire is greater than him that a greater and greater ego appears in a person each time and on top of his growing ego, he has to build connections greater connections with the friends and then a bigger ego comes and then more connections, greater connections come. It's called love will come and cover more crimes and then more crimes and more love and so on. These are the degrees until you begin to discover in the states of concealment and revelation, you begin to reveal the Creator's relation to you. Just keep going forcefully.
S. If I can say a few more words, but that moment, this theoretical part does not work. You don't see, you don't know what to do at that moment, you don't understand that's all correct. It's all clear, but you're helpless at that moment and there's a complete absence of...
R. Enough. Enough. There is no work unless you work in the society, unless you act in the society. You read the articles and you want to do them and that's it. You have what to do, you have the books, you've got the society and there you have to implement it. That's it. Likewise everyday…. you are a group, you're a strong group that can advance while so connect to one another more and more and it will be okay. There's no reason to complain, you have everything you need in order to succeed.
21. S. (48:12) On one hand we have to pray for the Creator not to be revealed, on the other hand we have to pray that it will happen because without the power of the Creator we won't be able to advance so what does that force that is taking us forward?
R. It is the same force that you received from the Creator through the ten, only through the ten and with it you advance each time to be giving more and more to be more connected to the friends, it is that same force that you have to receive through the friends from the Creator. That's it. All you have are the Creator, the friends and you so arrange those things together correctly.
22. S. (49:37) My greatest desire is to reveal the Creator, does the Creator feel my true intention?
R. Don't think instead of the Creator, think instead of yourself, you can help the Creator help you become a giver to connect, ask.
23. S. (50:23) How can I feel that I am receiving from the Creator, how do I pay attention to that?
R. You will feel that you are receiving from the society when you unite with the society truly together, when you are incorporated in the society, there you will feel the force that connects you which is the Creator. You can't discover the Creator unless you are connected to the friends within the society.
24. S. (51:13) Out of what we just scrutinized such a thing appears that concealment is a result of the concealment of the true intention from myself?
R. Correct.
25. S. (51:37) What should be the true intention that we demand the Creator to be revealed among the group to prevent an egoistic demand?
R. That we want to feel ourselves, us and not each one himself. When I want to simply merge and dissolve into the friends to be among them as if I don't exist but only to stream along with them. If I think anything for myself it is as if I am drilling a hole in the boat.
26. S. (52:34) To this moment the Creator is concealed from us in the group, what are we lacking and what should we do to be able to attain the upper worlds?
R. You need to build the Creator in the relationships between you. You have to unite in such a union that it will be called the Creator. Meaning the force of bestowal, the force of love as much as you can and even a little more and that then it will be called the Creator and you will feel what you will build. This is why it is called BoReh, come and see, the Creator, what you did was “come”, what you attained was “see”.

R. We're not talking about the government now, so stop before you ask.

28. R. In other words, we have to arrange ourselves in such a way, influence ourselves in such a way that we begin to feel the force of bestowal and the force of love between us and by this we remove the concealment and discover these new relationships which are called the Creator.

29. R. We are created beings and therefore our perception can only be as the advantage of the light from the darkness, bad out of good and good out of bad, sweet, sour or bitter. In other words, it's always a relationship between two opposite things and in there we find our feelings and our reality. If we didn't have within our bodies, within our nerves, within our brains opposite things we wouldn't feel ourselves as existing in our intellect or in our feelings. Therefore, we have to advance in such a way that we accept the darkness that we have as a right basis for drawing the light and in this way we will advance. For this reason the fact that the Creator behaves with us in concealment of the face, by this he pulls us, he still shines but through the concealment it's not just darkness, if it was total darkness we wouldn't be awakening to some light. But there are people that feel that they are in concealment and in that concealment, they feel that something is pulling them forward and it is a spiritual light that shines a little bit through the concealment and this is what doesn't let us be at peace and that is how we advance. Where is this light, the Creator the spiritual world and from where do I feel it because concealment came. Ordinary people have no concealment, they don't have a question about it. We discover the concealment and the concealment means that it is say 99% concealment but there is 1% of light there. In this way we start yearning and this is how the Creator pulls us toward Him.
30. S. (58:38) The degrees of concealment come in different ways to each friend or to everyone in the same way?
R. No to each one in his own individual measure, personal one as well as to everyone together as a group in general, to each ten and its own way to all of the whole world Bnei Baruch in its own way. There are many conditions there that we still can't talk about, we don't have enough discernments.
31. S. (59:29) Even though in the beginning, preparation for the lesson we spoke about building connections with friends, how are you using the worlds of building the connection, or revealing the connection, because if I understood correctly we're constructing the connection and in that connection we reveal the Creator?
R. Correct.
S. If we are constructing the connection with the friends and the Creator is revealed in that connection then concealment is also our efforts in our work?
R. Correct.
S. Where is that concealment and where is it revealed?
R. We're still not working on the concealment we're working on approaching the revelation but as we get closer to the revelation we will start working on the concealment of how not to reveal the Creator but only to reveal our relation to Him. So I don't want to receive any payment from Him, any good relation, a good attitude because then I will be working for this relation and this attitude. I want to give to Him without any payment, without any compensation from Him.
S. It turns out we're not working on the concealment?
R. We can't work on concealment because have no relation to the revelation, we have to scrutinize what is important to us and how we come to such connections between us that will be similar to the quality of the Creator. How we relate to the friends as I imagine that the Creator relates to us, this is what we need. If in the ten we reveal such revelations between us on top of the disturbances that we want to be good and connected with each one exerting in a connection with the friends and exerting in the friends so much so that we feel that there is nothing more for me but only the friends. If I discover it then I begin to work and be concerned with such forms of connection that are the sum total of this form of connection will reveal to us the connection and love between us which is the Creator. We still have to come to it but in the meantime we're only talking about the efforts that we have to make in order to reveal the Creator between us, to approach it. Afterwards we will have more precise activities.
