1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes, first of all I'm very happy we are in contact. The topic is, I think you've heard and understood is important, the most important because this is the center of all of our work, all of our exertion, the results we wish to receive from our work, from our lives in general. Everything eventually boils down in practice to what we are learning now. Meaning our work in exertion and overcoming is not simply overcoming. Rather, it is when we connect to the Creator on top of the disturbances that He, himself, is sending so each and everyone needs to see in each and every moment how these disturbances are actually guiding him each and every one. In such a way that he feels the manner, the intensity of all these disturbances being help against him. Although we are reading about these disturbances, the evil inclination, we call it the evil inclination, but we call it so because this is how it appears to us. In truth, without it, it is impossible. It is an angel, meaning a force the Creator had created especially and other than that, He did not need to create anything. It's simply something that would be against Him and would show a person, would show man and his state compared to if he's into the Creator, which is the goal. In other words, the evil inclination, if we relate to it correctly as we do the evil inclination, then in effect we can aim ourselves to the goal with His help.
To the purpose of creation, to the Creator all the way to the end of correction. Meaning who's helping us to come out of Egypt is Pharaoh, as it is written, ‘who has helped us to escape Egypt’? Pharaoh who directed us to our father in Heaven, Pharaoh. We read such verses on it, and here, we need to understand it more and more, and not only understand but to locate and feel them so that we will be able to work with them. Therefore it is good if over time, each and every moment we will try to be in our lives and together with that and parallel above it to think that this life does not disconnect us from the Creator. That they are sent by the upper force so that on top of all these disturbances, we would form a connection with the Creator such that each and every disturbance will show us how much and where we are not connected to the Creator, not in adhesion with Him. So we would therefore be happy, each and every moment that we have an opportunity, a greater opportunity to adhere to Him more. To come closer to the upper force all the way to complete adhesion -- this is the end of our correction. That is really everything. So these verses that we have gathered here for this lesson, and to advance by overcoming, they are the most important verses.
Later we will see, we will begin to read the Zohar and other things. We will begin to understand that all the wisdom of the Kabbalah speaks only of that and nothing more. How do we come to adhesion with the Creator with all of the disturbances, with the help of the disturbances? That's why it's called ‘helpmate against'. Although it is against, in this way, it helps. That’s what's written about the evil inclination so that's how we will advance. Our work is only to persist in it. Here, we come to the conditions of ‘each shall help his friend’ and we have to strengthen one another, support one another, not to let anyone fall into the disturbance and live only in the disturbance, disconnected from its source. Rather, we should always locate everything that we feel as going through us -- that it is connected to the Creator and coming from Him and through this connection with Him each time. More and more in different ways and styles according to what the disturbance dictates. This way, we need to see that there are not disturbances and not preventions. On the contrary, the way he writes here, all the preventions in the work as he writes in the excerpt that it is really moving closer and advancing, the way the Creator arranges it. That's what I can add to this excerpt to this lesson. I highly recommend that you go over these verses again and again.
This way we will know better what's going on with us and what way we are organized and we will begin to see our lives in such a way that we are all going through these disturbances only in order to adhere to the Creator, there is nothing more. It is that opposite force the Creator created in the shattering of Adam HaRishon and the force that is for, that we are asking the Creator through the friends, we have a prayer of many that helps here only that. Then we try to locate in each and every state the reason behind it, which was sent by the Creator. As a result in each and every state to bring about the creation of the upper force that will help us grasp that state properly as a disturbance. This disturbance brings us closer to the Creator who we need more and more. By that, we are turning the darkness to light and bitter to sweet and that is how we advance. Here, it is very important for us, each shall help his friend’. We have examples from the friends and we have the strengthening of the friends, the atmosphere, the corporeal spiritual atmosphere and that's how we advance.
2. S. (10:23) By help, we need something that makes something easier. How can we feel that it becomes easier rather than feeling heaviness all the time?
R. First of all, if you hear that it's coming from the Creator then you need to write it down before you. What I feel, what I think, meaning in my brain and in my heart. There are only two sources, brain and heart. So what I feel in my heart and what I think in my brain, in my head, comes from the Creator. There is none else besides Him. Now what I feel does it bring me closer to the Creator? Let's say He reminds me of my state, the state I'm in and He determines or perhaps He is rejecting me. So there are two forces. It is like a dance. One time, he takes a step towards me and the other time, the next moment, I need to take a step towards Him. In this way we come closer and understand more, and connect more with one another. There is a great deal of work here with the group, because by being in contact with the Creator through the group, I begin to close here, all of the whole world. All of the conditions of the system of Adam HaRishon which was deliberately built this way. There is nothing in it that was created just for nothing. There are no disturbances, there are no preventions, no inhibitions. Meaning everything is constructed in such a way that I will put together this Lego puzzle, this shape into the correct form of Adam HaRishon 10 complete Sefirot and there is nothing other than that in creation.
3. S. (13:31) It is a privilege for us to hear your answers and to implement them. We feel that when there are disturbances, the first thing to disappear is the joy. How can we overcome states with joy?
R. When we begin to do the spiritual work, it's not from the first day we started to study the wisdom of Kabbalah. Rather when we truly begin to apply the wisdom of Kabbalah which happens through the concealments and rejections from the Creator then, we certainly feel all kinds of forces that are not quite beneficial towards our ego. So if we are immersed only in the egoistic forces, then it turns out that we are not content in our lives because something not as something we thought of before, that it will be some kind of adventure like a little kid who walks into a toy store or a candy store and everything is nice and good according to the qualities that exist in him. Instead the Creator wants us to come to a state where the state of Adam HaRishon, meaning the spiritual system that is connected to him, where we become partners with Him, to become partners with the Creator, in creation. It's not simple, we have to learn His nature, His character. His character and nature is ‘The Good that does Good.’ We need to get to know His nature and also to cleave unto Him. In this way and each time we will do something in order to highlight more and more ‘The Good who does Good’, in our upper partner and this is the work.
4. S. (16:59) Why does the Creator increase the separation and distance each day? What is the purpose of it?
R. He doesn't do it on purpose. Rather it all comes from, it stems from one thing, the thought of creation. There is nothing else that can determine all of our actions and all the instances we are going through. It is all the thought of creation. To do good to His creations by bringing us to the state of complete disconnection all the way to the state of connection, complete adhesion. There is nothing along the way that does not come to us, or rather, that comes to us from some other cause and other reason. Everything is aimed at the purpose of creation, the complete adhesion and we need to understand that there is ‘None Else Besides Him, and that's what he does. Therefore, we need to respond and react in such a way on our part as well, meaning in each and every moment to be connected with the purpose of creation, with adhesion. And to try each time to locate it and spot it and to implement it as much as possible according to the data that we have at any given moment.
5. S. (19:06) How can we feel that it is truly a correction? Is it something psychological? Is it something that is done through the 10 or is it simply that the light gives it to you, this feeling?
R. If we will all think and understand, and we feel and imagine that this comes to us from the upper force, and ‘There is None Else besides Him,’ then we have no more difficulties and we understand we are in contact with the Creator. In that case, the main thing is the difficulty. The main difficulty is not to disconnect ourselves from Him. Here a person cannot do it alone. He cannot hold himself in a state of connection, not to disconnect. Rather there will have to be other friends there who think like Him and they try to be like Him and that's how they advance. Without this support from the environment, it will not happen. Because without this support from the environment it is that system that man disconnected from during the ‘Sin of Tree of Knowledge.’ The Creator created a complete whole system and then broke it, shattered it. This is called ‘The Sin of the Tree of Knowledge’. Then that desire that He created, that desire divided into many parts, many created beings and they need to unify themselves back. That is the correction. Hence if we understand the system, this picture, and we think about it more and more, I think about it more. If you have questions, write it down and you can ask. We will scrutinize it but this is in fact our work, our true place, this is the place where we imagine more and more and this is how we apply and implement the connection until the end of correction. From that we will see how it influences our entire lives, our personal lives. In our group life and the world, the universe and all the world's later. 6. S. (22:56) The human to the group and tolerating the disturbance, waiting for the situation to change, is this work and overcoming too, or can you still yearn for more active activities?
R. We have the story about Rabbi Akiva who was in a boat. The boat broke and everyone drowned except for him. He survived. Then when they asked him how did you survive he said, “I grabbed a big plank that was left from the boat and I sat on it and each time a wave came, I would lower my head, the wave would wash over me and that's how I ended up getting to shore.” Why do our sages tell us about this? Because they want to tell us that in this way we can, in fact, go through all the stages of the correction. We need to accept that anything that comes, comes from the Creator, we have no strength to deal with or overcome what's coming. Rather anything and everything that comes to us is there only so we would agree with what the Creator has arranged. And in this agreement, we get to the next degree which is connection, even adhesion. That is indeed the purpose of creation. So subjugation, then agreement, later on adhesion, there are other stages but those are the important ones.
7. S. (25:26) Is it enough to overcome the disturbance by acknowledging that they come from the Creator?
R. The work with the disturbance is a multi-faceted, multi-layered work on several degrees. It all depends on the coarseness through which these disturbances appear to a person. Shoresh, Aleph, Bet, Gimel, Dalet 0 1 2 3 4, they are such disturbances that a person doesn't know and doesn't understand and feel them. There are other disturbances that a person begins to feel but it doesn't ascribe any importance to them. And there are those disturbances that from which a person suffers. They interfere with his life and stand between him and the Creator. Therefore he must remove them. And there are those kinds of disturbances where he doesn’t remove them. He understands that these disturbances come from the Creator, Not so that he would remove them but so that he would transform them, transmute them into connection with the Creator. It all depends on Shoresh Aleph, Bet, Gimel, Dalet, 0 1 2 3 4, the degrees of coarseness by which a person ascribes how much he is able to work with the disturbances. Then it is not a disturbance, although it looks like a disturbance but the world is called Olam from the world concealment. But consequently, it is not really a disturbance, it is for me to change my attitude towards it. So that instead of the negative, I will see the positive. In this way, I will locate the Creator correctly, that's how I will detect Him. There is no evil in the world rather all the evil exists in my brain and in my heart, the egoistic desire. It gets in my way and prevents me from correctly locating the Creator. But the moment I understand it the more, the moment I begin to twist my nature, correctly, I see that it is not evil rather it is help against me. It is built this way on purpose so that I will work to locate the Creator and all His manifestations, so he will be able to know Him. Otherwise what will I see? The upper light fills all of reality. Simple, upper light filling all of reality. So therefore, we must respect those disturbances and work on them correctly. To work, to advance in overcoming. And here, we begin to see that our evil inclination, our ego, is not so evil after all. We have a saying, ‘Who is the Hero? One who conquers his desire?’ The hero of the heroes is the one who makes his enemy into his lover. Meaning specifically, the evil inclination is not so evil rather it is actually good.
8. S. (30:20) There are times when we connect with the friends in the tens on zoom, in lessons and I feel them to be in necessity in connection with the friends with the 10’s with the Creator in every aspect of life and then life becomes like a background, like as a result. Is there a risk where your life becomes a permanent background and should you even do this?
R. That's how it needs to be, maybe I'm not sure what you are saying but I should not disregard my life, I need my life to gradually connect with my spiritual path. Initially we are in such a state where we don't know how to reconcile the two but if a person tries as we learn to see in each one of his states, except for his regular corporeal life, if in addition he wishes to locate the Creator through it, which is the source the cause of everything that is happening in his life, then gradually he begins to take his life correctly and I don't see anything that can hinder him. All the Kabbalists used to live like that with problems, corporeal challenges and they would be busy running away from their enemies and haters, like Rabbi Shimon. They hid in a cave, not hiding from the good life but hiding because they were persecuted and this was throughout history up until recent times and even today we see that people don't quite love us or respect us or in general treat us kindly or nicely and it will continue this way a little longer. Humanity does not understand what we are dealing with and we cannot demand of them to understand, rather explain to them just a little what we are dealing with. We need to arrange our lives in such a way that both our corporeal life and our spiritual life will be as something that is together. One doesn't disturb the other but only adds to the other. Kabbalists obligate a person to get married and to start a family, meaning a wife and kids, and to work. It is mandatory to live, to aim oneself towards this kind of life.
S. (34:16) It is just that in every other aspect of life I sometimes see that if I am not in adhesion with the friends, or at least I'm not trying to be, everything stops working, and if I am in adhesion with the friends everything begins to work. I can't understand how this leads me to constantly be in adhesion with the friends in every aspect of my life.
R. I cannot answer this in one short sentence. You need to understand, gradually, how the system needs to be set up. We need to try and be constantly connected with the society. I connect to the Creator through the society, otherwise I am not connecting to the Creator, to something that is exactly the Creator, rather it is something that I arranged for myself. This is the main point, the main thing is the ten, the group.
S. (35:40) Should I try to be in adhesion with the friends and the Creator with every situation in life or do I allocate certain times?
R. It's recommended all the time. If you can't, if it somehow interferes with your work, then try to disconnect yourself. Rabash used to work as a clerk, he used to work many jobs. There was a time when he couldn't make money anywhere else so he found a job as a clerk. He would write and suddenly he would fall asleep and mess something up on the paper, instead of writing something correctly. What can you do, there is no choice. We have to try and do things as much as possible in adhesion, but if not, then no. Let's say you need to write a paper to submit at work and you feel that you have to be connected only to work and you do not have the strength to be connected to work and the Creator at once, then if you have to choose, then connect to work. There's nothing you can do. They bought your time and your labor so don't steal it from them, rather if you can, do both, but not one at the expense of the other, otherwise it is called theft.
9. S. (37:51) The Creator broke the will to receive of Adam HaRishon because it was easier to correct it one at a time and we unite those desires. How does it not go against what happened in the breaking and then seemingly against the Creator's desire?
R. No, not so. The Creator shattered the desire so that we would feel just how much we hate one another, and from the hatred just how much we are unable to come closer to one another, to hear that the purpose of our lives is to go back to the state where we were as one man in one heart, but only as one man in one heart. Meaning we try to come close but we can't. Not only to come close but to incorporate and be in adhesion with one system. Each one enters the other and then we work like cogwheels inside a watch. We don't know how to get along then we turn to the Creator. The Creator arranges the connection between us and that's really our work. By arranging the connection between us we begin to understand that we are like those cogwheels, we lack nothing but the Creator since he knows how to connect everyone to everyone and to make us spin in one direction so we become one mechanism. Beforehand we were not behaving like cogwheels, like we were without the little teeth of each cogwheel but now we see that we have these oppositions. When we connect above these oppositions, these opposites that each one of us has, we understand how much we must understand as the light excels from darkness and how we can see how good it is that we are built this way. Because from the disconnection and the connection from the gap between the two, we may understand the meaning and the essence of the Creator, His quality, His purpose, His attitude, to come to know Him specifically as the advantage of light out of darkness. That’s how He will be revealed. By creating the darkness between us, he gave us an opportunity to understand Him, to get to know Him, to come to His degree.
10. S. (42:20) How can we convey to the friends that disturbance and take it as an opportunity for the 10 to grow and for the Creator to be content?
R. We're not taking any disturbances from the friends. We only help support one another in order to overcome the disturbances and rise above them more and more, we do not erase the disturbances no, on the contrary. We also see it from our lives, the more we grow and advance in life then the disturbances even in our corporeal life, pressure us more and more, the purpose of creation. The purpose of life is not to remove the disturbances, no, on the contrary we need to arrange them and corresponding to each and every disturbance we need to rise towards connection and then we will understand that this disturbance works properly.
S. Where is the Creator's answer, where is the Creator's answer?
R. The answer of the Creator is revealed when you connect darkness and light, separation and connection, the disturbance and assistance. When you connect all of it together, you see and you attain the essence of the Creator who thought about everything in advance by arranging such states for you, you see how much you and he was thinking of you and only of you. His desire to build a creature, he wants a creature that will be like him. That's how we learn about all of his actions, the end of the act is in the initial thought and the beginning of his actions come from how he sees man as similar to him and everything. Because there is no other state more exalted than that in all of creation.
11. S. (45:32) You said that the Creator didn't do the shattering on purpose but it is the thought of creation can you explain this discernment?
R. The Creator is the upper force and nothing else exists but Him there's nothing else besides Him in order for this to exist He had to create the corresponding force, He seemingly had to create that's how it feels to us. Therefore He created the evil inclination and in the evil inclination He created man and man is included of evil inclination, the good inclination. This means a person needs to know good and evil and he has free choice and he can now build the Creator from these qualities.
S. The thought of creation?
R. The thought of creation is to bring a person to a situation where he builds himself out of everything he has in front of him which are basically two contradicting forces and from this he comes to he builds the Creator within man namely the force of bestowal, the force of love.
S. So, the thought of creation is not the thought of the Creator, it is something else or is it a separate thing?
R. The thought of the creation is the thought of the Creator but man has to implement it.
12. S. (47:50) Does turning to the Creator through the 10, meaning asking the Creator for the 10 or does it mean something deeper or something else?
R. No. The Creator does not hear anything, you need to understand that this system is a very simple system, it comes to us from the complete state that the Creator created the end of the act is in the preliminary thought and out of that thought He operates on us. We have to come to it, we have to gradually try to understand how we build the system in such a way where we are all connected into one as it was to begin with. Our work goes against the egoistic force that was revealed. that's why it is difficult for us on the one hand. On the other hand, this difficulty, look at kids when they want to put something together, this doesn't work, that doesn't work, not this way, not that way. So in the end what do they want, what do they do, they cry and with their crying they turn to daddy and daddy helps them and explains to them how they can put together those two things, those two bricks or something to put them one on top of the other or one with the other. That's basically our work. What is this about, because we want to assemble things correctly we see how incapable we are and how these sayings don't symbolize correctly.
Because we learn these things from the opposite form of connection, on one hand, on the other hand because I am already assembling it. So when I assemble it, I understand what it should be. What is this about, it is not about the shattering and the correction it is about the fact that being in a broken state, I have to turn to the Creator and I have to know Him and acknowledge Him and see that I am incapable without him. That way I cling to Him like a child clinging to the grown up, he doesn't want to come off or get down from the grown up, he feels strong and great only when he is in the hands of the grown up. That's how we have to see ourselves and that way gradually we come to adhesion in this way. We will never be independent. Our independence stands on the degree of our adhesion because our will to receive remains our nature. The will to receive remains opposite to the Creator and to the extent that we want to be man Adam we have to cling to the Creator and only thanks to Him through complete adhesion with Him, will we be Adam similar to the Creator that's why it's called Adam similar to the Creator.
13. S. (52:20) Do all these obstacles come for us to surrender to Him and only demand from Him?
R. Yes, but what does it mean to surrender or to yield to Him? The Creator doesn't need it, He wants strong people, great people, mature not that we would surrender and be zeros before Him. We see that sometimes they write in this way too but that is not the goal. That our goal is for us to be partners to be equal that man and the Creator will be truly as two forms that complement one another, there is no Creator without a created being and there is no created being without the Creator. So we have to see all the souls as connected together and arriving at a state where they are all adhered to the Creator.
14. S. (53:40) I listen to everything that was said about disturbances but I see that I ascribe the disturbance to there's none else besides him but my nature makes me experience it as if I live before an enemy but this disturbance should actually serve everyone. So I'm asking what is the missing information, what are the missing descents I have to add so that I will see not disturbances but joyful things that comes from the Creator that makes me advance and develop?
R. Your whole situation comes to you from the creators so that you will try to put together this entire puzzle called life. With all of humanity with all of the still, vegetative and animate in the whole of the universe before you, everything. So you will try to connect it all into a network, a singular force called the Creator. You want only one thing for this network to function completely. Nothing will be obstructing from revealing the force of unity and that's it. So it is all clarified in the thought and it is all through you, it all depends on your relation and your attitude and your approach and then you will see that no one in the world besides you is doing this work but only you. That doesn't stop them from being servants of the Creator and doing the work but it all depends on you.
15. S. (56:05) What kind of thinking should we have in our faith in order to stay on the path and not fall into despair when the obstacles come?
R. The biggest disturbance is when it is difficult for me to constantly feel myself connected to the 10 and operating out of the 10, from within the 10, this is the biggest disturbance. The rest of the disturbances don't pertain to the human level but to the still, vegetative and animate levels in me. My connection with the friends is the most difficult connection, and the greater the soul is in a person the more this connection is difficult for him. It takes a long time for a person to really exert in every way possible and he comes to a state where he becomes to work on a connection within the 10, with the Creator.
16. S. (57:43) You heard that true overcoming of the disturbances happens easily, you just have to place yourself under the influence of the light, can you tell one to do it in a more detailed way?
R. You need to constantly direct yourself to the reforming light. So that everything that I detect and feel and discover as a disturbance and the disturbances in the connection with the friends so that out of this connection I have to discover the Creator. It is like having, I don't know if there are these examples today but in the past there was, they would create, develop the photograph from a photographic paper so it would gradually emerge kind of out of the mist, let's say a shape appears out of the mist for example some figure, so we have to similarly try to discover it.
S. I heard that yesterday that you spoke about how true overcoming happens easily, for that we have to place ourselves under the influence of the light, how do we do it?
R. The truth is if we don't disconnect from the society and try with all of our might to nevertheless remain connected to the society then we shorten our way to a state where we can finish all the corrections very easily quickly. Because by wanting to see everything through the connection in the 10 then we are already in the system and we don't run around and look for how else we can get there. Until it takes years, until we give up and come to a state where I have no choice, I still have to surrender to the conditions that the Kabbalists wrote for me and I read about them from the beginning, which I didn't want to implement. The main problem is the work in the 10. Again there are people who understand it very quickly, but afterwards they dry out. Some people don't want to accept it under any circumstances. Then they are still, in short, well this is the problem, the whole problem is only in the environment that's why, look how many excerpts are written about it. Then you can't help it, there's nothing you can do.
S. So if I understand correctly all the strength, all the life I get from the connection in the 10 and then everything works to easily overcome the disturbances.
R. Yes, only from there.
17. S. (01:02:00) Where I see all the friends as great, as higher than me, there are days where I feel that I am standing out from among them. How to work with the ego in order to work with the 10 add to the 10?
R. You can add only on condition that you are concerned with the friends being as connected as you are, that's it there's nothing else, worry only about that. Meaning we need to see before we look for the Creator, we need to see that we organized and arranged between us, a vessel in which we search for the Creator which is the group. If we are drawn to the Creator without the group it is not spirituality is not real reality it is our fantasies, philosophy etc. First and foremost there has to be a clear vessel in our hand which is the 10 and annulment before the 10 connection with the 10 as much as possible more and more. Then if I feel in my gut, in my heart, in my mind, how connected I am to them, to that extent I can already understand the essence of the excerpts we are reading and in that way advance. The states here are not simple, we have to not hear them but realize them Implement them.
18. S. (01:04:41) Who determines that one situation or another is actually a disturbance, is it myself or the friends in the 10?
R. Of course the 10 determine everything and I have to even if I am 100% certain that I am right. If they have a different opinion it is better if I accept this opinion heart and soul without any doubts and in this way we will advance. Likewise each and every one must yield and must surrender himself before the 10, this is the most important, this is my vessel, the 10 is my vessel also my instrument and being in this vessel is done only by self-annulment. Which is more important, my opinion or the 10's opinion? No doubt that the 10, the opinion of the 10 is 100% correct and important as opposed to zero importance of my opinion. It cannot be that we, how should I put it? It cannot be that we are smart, understanding more or not if there is a 10. The 10 is more important than each and every one individually.
19. S. (01:06:42) If we say that there is an infinite amount of power in the 10, why do we fall into these other forces?
R. We need the powers of the 10 even if we are connected to the 10 in order to rise higher. That is the meaning of degrees. We've come to some state now we have to shift to the next state and to shift. To the next state we are shown from above the Creator shows this from above another level of coarseness, additional coarseness and we fall because of this additional coarseness and in this way we, when we fall, we acquire new vessels, new coarseness. If we overcome this coarseness and disturbances we rise to the next degree. So the ascent to the next degree consists of two primary main actions, acquiring new coarseness, which is revealed, which is a revelation of the next state, how I have to rise from this degree to the next degree. Then the reception of the light that influences this coarseness and turns this coarseness into refinement and that's how we ascend. ‘And there was evening and there was morning one day.’ The spiritual ascent always comprises a period of darkness and a period of light.
20. S. (01:08:59) How does our response to our brokenness change from concern for ourselves to concern for the friends?
R. It is done by learning and speaking among ourselves, giving each other importance and an example of the importance of the society and helping one another. So each one begins to envy the others. How connected they are and how connected they are and how they help each other and out he is still not in it. So it is the envy that awakens in him and pushes him to connect as well. We need to develop these states in the tens and see that only in these states through envy, lust and honor. R. The view of the ten is something that the Creator establishes between us. The Creator establishes it between us and therefore we should see these things as a gift from above, as a vessel from above and it builds in us the vessel and the lights and fills itself in this vessel.
S. How to correctly identify the view of the ten?
R. The view of the ten means that when all of us want to connect we begin to receive from above such discernments and such directives, directions that arrange us into a real ten. Here you have the remoteness and here you have refinement where above the coarseness, we are connected and in this way we connect so it turns out that the gap between the coarseness and the refinement is the power of the vessel. R. R. It needs to be mutual both turning to them and giving to them, it needs to be balanced, “I to my beloved and my beloved to me” towards the ten, otherwise it's not at ten, not a connection as the connection needs to work in both directions. R. Sometimes I reach a state that I have complaints towards the friends and it could be that I'm right, this could be because complaints towards the group at the friends could be very beneficial, productive, that is such complaints I really feel myself that I am making the condition better that I am awakening them as one will help his friend. So it can be that I am in a state that I can't open my mouth towards the friends, on the contrary.

R. You will reveal it, if there can't be happiness if the suffering doesn't come first, the difference between suffering and happiness is the style of the feeling, the way that you feel it.

R. No, if I understood correctly, you cannot know the reason why some state comes to you as the state always comes from the Creator and is always aimed in order to advance you. You raise in sanctity you don't lower in sanctity that is what is written. So even though you feel that you are lowered, it is from a state that you advance, but in order for you to feel this advancement you'll have to see the descent, the fall and this is what works. This is why each and every state we need to see ourselves as advancing, like Baal HaSulam writes that ‘I am happy with the wicked that has been revealed’ because those, the wicked are his states, that they show how he is wicked because the wicked that aren't revealed, they don't have any hope. Meaning how do I know if they will ever be revealed and when, but for certain they are within me and this is why those who are revealed I am happy about it, because he says: they were inside but now they are revealed, because everything is revealed from the root of a person's soul and through the root of that soul he sees all of reality, he sees the group, the world and this is why if he sees reality in a certain way, he knows that this is how all kinds of inner discernments are revealed in me, If I see the evil, bad states are revealed to me so I had them, Just now they were revealed. R. I don't know.
