Preparing to Attack at the Congress - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #5
1. Rav’s Introduction: Ahead of us is indeed a very important action and it is good that we've already been through it and more than once, we have gone through almost every one of the excerpts that we are going to study during the preparation and the lessons. Because the entrance is specifically out of the fact that each time, we try to get to know more and more the internality of the words and the connection between the words and what our emotions are. That along with that, rise higher each and every day, from time to time and this is how we actually try to connect. The whole work is in the connection between us and in connection with the Creator so we need more and more to search for where we can add in our emotions. Where and how can we activate our mind and understand where we are lacking connection, where else is it possible to add and then turn to the Creator so that he will do it. Not to despair out of the fact that we cannot because this is nice and it is true that we are not capable of doing anything in order to bestow, meaning towards a connection between us. What is important for us is through all these obstacles that pull us away from this work on the connection between us, we nevertheless continue and this is how we will hopefully go through all the obstacles and the most important is to turn the obstacle into a prayer, the prayer for connection. And in the connection to this discover the Creator. Let’s go ahead to what our teachers have prepared for us.

2. R. (04:21)) That is, the work is not in that our prayers are not reaching the Creator, he hears it. He hears each one and all of us together he hears it. The problem is that we in return are not yet ready to receive from Him his revelation, His abundance, the form of bestowal from the Creator that has to come to a Kli, a vessel that is suitable. The Kli, the vessel should also be in bestowal in faith above reason in order to bestow and certainly if we don't have these vessels, for the time being, we have to go through degrees of preparation so that later on when the fulfillment will come, the vessel will be suitable for the fulfillment and discover it. Therefore even though we do turn to the Creator, this is the only thing that can help us and change our reality however, along with that we need to understand that our vessels should be ready. Also this means that maybe we should pray not for coming closer to the Creator, not for the power that we will get from Him but rather for connection. That we will have a vessel that in the connection between us we annul our will to receive. We are in desires to bestow to each other and from our desires to bestow we build a network of connection between us, we weave that vessel and this is how we prepare ourselves and until the vessel will be ready, we will not be able to feel that we are coming closer to the Creator. Later on we discover, what do we discover also, our corrected vessel. In the essence of our corrected vessel is called the Creator, Boreh, come and see. Therefore in the meantime as it says in this verse, we rush our pleas above, knock by knock meaning that we keep asking and we demand more and more, pray more and we ask tirelessly, ceaselessly and we do not weaken at all when he does not answer us. He doesn't cool us down, he doesn't tire us. We believe he hears our prayer. He hears it for sure but he is awaiting for us for a time when we will have the vessels to receive the faithful bounty. If we will have a vessel that is similar to the abundance that should be revealed in it because otherwise it should not be revealed, then we will receive a reply to each and every prayer at once. Over a lot of time, maybe years we were asking, we were praying so we will feel at once that our vessel and the upper light are now congruent with each other and then one is revealed inside the other. We should not despair but only to keep on adding in the precision of the connection between us and in the precision of our appeal to the Creator to prepare the connection between us to the revelation. Do not forget that our connection has to be congruent with that fulfillment and we need to come to it, to be revealed in it and if we don't have such a connection what kind of fulfillment do, we get, so we are asking not for the whole fulfillment but we are asking for the connection. We are asking in the meantime for the correction of the vessel. But we should be aware of what is it that we are asking for, what is it that we are expecting, or should be expecting.
3. S. (09:23) He said that when we pray before he answers us, he's waiting for us to develop the vessels. I thought that this is also the act of the Creator and the fact that we are far away is because He is doing these actions, that will make us do the actions that will create the vessels. Is it not considered his reply?
R. Everything that is revealed in us has already a response from the Creator, you're right, but we need to scrutinize it, to sort it, as it says before they call, I answer. That even before a person calls the Creator turns to him and he awakens in him a deficiency and a person raises that deficiency up. Whatever the Creator and the Creator promptly in a concealed way brings it back to him. The prayer that we raise is what the Creator in a concealed manner brought down to us. All of our deficiencies exist in him, He is the one who creates the darkness and this is how we advance.
S. We could enter an environment where we absorb more or aware more of what he is sending us so we will be able to respond to this reality?
R. Yes of course. We will continue and this clarity will come but our work is not in that, we should understand precisely what is going on, because all of our understanding comes from our experience, out of our actions. So the most important is to perform actions of connection, of coming closer, of becoming inspired. Pay attention to the state in which you begin the lesson and how much the connection between us in the lesson warms us up, it connects us, it scrutinizes for us both of our emotions and our thoughts, everything that we need. All that we need is to create the right connections in the ties between us. The right connections are the spiritual vessel.
4. S. (12:31) During the workshop in the preparation in response to the question, what do we need for an assault, an attack, each one specified the lack in his heart, and it was different things. Do we need to have a common heart, a common deficiency?
R. We cannot perform these actions artificially, one heart, a few hearts, we simply need to try to connect with an inclination towards the Creator, for our heart will rejoice in Him. When we come with our request to the Creator then we feel how much we are also connected between us, we cannot connect between us and then turn ourselves to the Creator, but rather when we aim ourselves to connect in the Creator then accordingly, we feel how important it is for us to connect.
S. They shouldn’t be in the same words?
R. It doesn't matter what language you speak, what words, what is important is the inner inclination of the heart.
5. S. (14:14) Can we solve our corporeal questions with a prayer in our request from the ten?
R. I don't think we should be thinking about that because if we will perform all of our connections, those that are possible for now correctly, then what is left for us, still with corporeal problems like you are asking about, will be such that they will constantly aim us towards a more corrected connection. Towards a greater height and that we will see in these problems and these issues all in all states that are necessary for correction.
6. S. (15:22) You said that when we scrutinize the accuracy of the connection between us to match the light, what is that accuracy in the connection?
R. In that there is both quantity and quality. The connection needs to be necessary, essential so that we will feel that this specifically is what I'm looking for and I'm not looking for it in advance. That should be clear to all of us how much we are against connection. But the fact that I suddenly discover that only through connection, that I have to be in connection only in order to get forces, in order to get the right guidelines, in order to discover the right goal, in order to receive confidence, power. This has to be clear to me, that I achieve it only in the connection. The most important is the connection, is the power. Without this I cannot move, I cannot open my eyes, I cannot do anything in spirituality, and there is no possibility for one to aim oneself towards the right goal if it is not in the right connection. It is like a sight that I have to be with my eye, I have to look through a single sight and through the second sight, so that those three points, my eye, the first sight and the second sight should all be on a single line. This is called Israel the light and the Creator are one.
Then we precisely turn to the Creator and in that same connection in return, the Creator turns to us. This is why all of our work eventually should be in the group because I’m already given my qualities, there's nothing I could do with that, this is how I was born and it depends on the root of my soul, on the structure of Adam HaRishon after the shattering. The Creator on the other hand it is also He exists, He is constant, Eternal, whole and what is this, between us, between me and the Creator, between the complete egoist, myself and in between the Creator, who is the complete altruist, on the other hand if we could say so, this is what changes. That is the group and so I have to combine in the group, myself and the Creator so that they will be together, such that there will be no difference between myself in the group and the Creator in the group and the three of us will reach this concept of one. This is the work, let's hope at the first degree in this connection where we become incorporated in the group, in the Creator is also incorporated with us in the group. Actually the group is a center of reality, let us hope that we will achieve that, this is what we should approach to advance to.
7. S. (20:05) When the prayer was answered, meaning the love of the Creator was revealed, will it end the claims one had against the Creator, how does the light reform the soul?
R. We don't know precisely how it happens. This is unknown. We can learn from TES and we can think as much as we know and as much as we will know but in truth the way that the light operates on the will to receive and changes it, what calculations there are in the light, so that in the combination between the different desires, each changes the qualities of those desires, the intentions of the desires and all in all, it brings them to a different essence. That instead of the will to receive they want to work above their nature and in a relation to the will to bestow in a way that they use their nature, that they had before the light and specifically through it, that we say one is greater than his friend his inclination is greater than his friend, the greater the desire is he could be in bestowal.
The way that the Creator performs these calculations we cannot understand it for the time being even though these questions are very interesting, this is called that the Creator is in the peak of this entire pyramid of forces, intentions and the qualities of the will to receive in the will to bestow so that all of them join in him. He knows by splitting them into billions, numerous different directions so that in the end the work of knitting, from this action it will come to one whole. I cannot explain it ,even to depict it completely, I'm not capable of it. All in all, I'm going along with you towards the same goal, so let's hope that we will attain it. But the attainment of this wholeness from the beginning to the end and from the end to the beginning, this actually tells us at the end has a light of Ein Sof. There is no greater pleasure than the connection of opposite qualities. It is written about that, that the resolution of all the questions, darkness reveals light, we will reach that it is all ahead of us. The most important is what we should do so that the Creator will do all the rest. We participate to a very small degree in this whole huge campaign.
8. S. (24:16) Can we get to know the degree of our connection that each one is only checking in with himself because I saw the lesson from 10 years ago and it feels like the same, like we said the same words, is there a parallel reality where we are all already connected?
R. That's already a different question. Are there several forms, several screens in which we exist? First reality of the first, second, third and fourth and so forth, so I don't think that we should delve into that. We cannot yet and we do not have such a basis for scrutiny but it is very interesting and we will go through it and we will reach it. You are right there are many possibilities to scrutinize reality on several levels in between the connection, between it from bottom up to top down and also in different other directions, it will come.
9. S. (25:51) The fact we've gathered here is a building your prayer or the answer of the prayer?
R. The building of the prayer includes within it also the answer. If we know how to ask, whom do we ask, what is it that we want to discover in the end, we will not discover if it is to discover then we don't even need to turn. If I turn to the Creator in the right way meaning out of the connection between us and I ask of him that he will build in our connection between us then already in my prayer there are elements there that I elevate. Those elements I still don't attain quite but when I ask in that request there is already my future corrected state. Therefore this is called MAN and therefore over my correct MAN should come only the abstract upper light and this is enough that it is abstract because my request already includes within it, carries within it the next state, the future state. That where we want to be connected, where we want to be incorporated in each other, where the connection between us is what we want to attain and that will be the attainment of the Creator. This is why the correct prayer actually if it rises from us in such a way then it is actually already the answer itself. Like Baal HaSulam writes there, at first, I used to think that but at the end they see that their longing and their prayer, their deficiency is what fills us.
S. The lie of grace and the falseness of beauty?
R. Yes. I do not have words for all these things but let's try to go through it as much as possible. It is not the quantity that matters but nevertheless in each of these verses there is a different aspect of our scrutinies. So please and the most is the intention in this, the vessel was built.
10. S. (29:23) How can we make sure that the attack will be different from what we did in previous times as you instructed us?
R. I need to accept a priori that the Creator awakens each and every one each and every moment because this is done by the upper light, that each time it shines and it shines and each and every one and its own unique form. Therefore, each one receives his own awakening and of course it comes from the Creator therefore our response to the Creator is also clear. However we need to understand on our own what is the state that we are in, what is it that we are asking for, demanding and so on.
11. S. (30:59) You told us yesterday in the workshop, you asked after we've tried everything and we felt that we failed, the last bit should be for the sake of the Creator and I felt that it was the instruction you gave us to do it. Today it seems like this is a state now, the friend who is translating is saying, why aren't you asking. Now you are giving us the advice because the Creator is working so intensely to feel, how can we express to our friends that we are now in the final point ,the home stretch for as long as we just do it for the Creator?
R. Simply do it and do it with an effort. I embrace you with my whole heart.
12. S. (32:20) We should add precisely through the connection with the Creator and recognize what we have to do between us but we need to add to what you say because each one perceives it in his own way, how to do it?
R. We are not similar to each other in anything. In each and every one there are different qualities, they are oft the same kinds but they are different. It's like the specific individuals Sefirot that in their incorporation they are very different. However the fact that we want to make our common action then we connect and then in the connection between us, so that even though these are desires and these desires are discrete, however along with that, we connect these desires their incorporation comes from discrete numbers into something that is integral. That integral is what fills for us, what adds to our vessels making them complete, infinite, up to Ein Sof. It's just like when we do an integral, we write on top of it plus C, constant. What does that mean? It means we need to add here such additional additions that we don't really have control over but they are the ones that distinguish us, who are discreet from the circle, from Ein Sof. This is what we do in the connection between us and in our prayer to the Creator and then we begin to receive in return, what we get in return from Ein Sof to us and when it clothes in us again it breaks down and becomes divided into the vessels. However, connection after connection we built out of these small parts a complete sphere and the Creator adds, this is called the Lord will finish it for me, will complete it for me. That we nevertheless cannot reach this form in the circle, we are all tiny squares, however the Creator adds. We will find the words for it. This is something truly special in our participation with Him.
13. S. (35:58) I see that in the ten there are two extremes, you want to advance very quickly, on the other hand you wish to stop and help the weaker friends. How to combine the two oppositions?
R. There is no contradiction here, as much as I help the friends, by that I advance, because this stems from the vessel that we can advance only in our common vessel. So if I leave someone on the path it is like I am stopped. We just need to think about it, then we see that the connection between us, making of ourselves a complete vessel in each and every moment, this is our primary work. That is one should not think about oneself, don't even think about the Creator but only about the connection between us. That is first of all because from that we can begin the correct interaction. There are many excerpts about that also and the most important thing is that you will never leave me and keep my Torah.
14. S. (37:29) What are we lacking for our prayers to be accepted and received?
R. That they will be true prayers for the true goal.
15. S. (37:48) You said in the beginning of your words that we should ask only for connection and for a long time now at the end of every lesson each and every friend writes and puts in a certain prayer and we complete one another. Is that the right way to build a vessel or eventually should we all ask only for connection?
R. We have no other problem but the connection between us, the upper light is absolute rest in our inclination towards connection, our new connection, the growing connection, the renewed connection, we awaken the light of Ein Sof to shine on us and to do it. So other than attraction towards connection there is nothing else, of course each time we fall from this request back down to our primitive request, our personal request where each one cares only for himself, that there's no choice, that is how it is. Also what we are getting from the Creator is a personal feeling, what am I, who am I, where how and what state am I in, it's all about me, me, me. Here we need to try and I hope that in his upcoming Congress we will try, in each and every one of us, to try to change that direction where I don't think of myself. I constantly think of the spiritual vessel because I speak to the Creator from that or I turn to the Creator for the sake of this vessel but not for my sake. I want from the very beginning each time when I am starting to think about anything it will be only from within this vessel. That's it. We are already that special unit as one because there are not many here and this is what I want to happen to us. If we can come to it, we are already aimed at the correction, at the end of correction. We are coming up to the trajectory that is bringing us to the revelation of the upper light, the upper worlds and all the degrees will be revealed as well, the problem is how to change myself so that I will always think of my vessel.
16. S. (41:17) What does it mean to think about the vessel? What does it mean to think about the Kli?
R. Very simply, I'm a boat in the middle of the ocean, the ocean is stormy but I don't think of my physical body because I see that I'm entirely dependent on this tiny vessel, this tiny boat. This boat with each passing moment can actually drown, so where's my concern? Is it for the boat? When I look at it, do I pray that it will only hold us? So that is what I need all the time to think about and care about the boat, the walls of the vessel.
S. So the thought is not about the ten but the entire vessel right now?
R. No, now it is about the ten.
S. So you think that in the Congress knock by knock, today the conditions today that we have in the world, can they bring us to a more focused knock in this Congress?
R. What conditions in the world?
S. The external conditions that were created in the world.
R. No, that is all nonsense, that is only all to awaken the people externally, it shouldn't work on us, it should only give us an indication that we need to hurry up in order to bring humanity the method of correction more clearly, more easily. What does that have to do with us? Does it influence us? Completely not. Our work is only in the connection between us and in the connection between us from that to the Creator. That is it. 17. S. (43:46) When we will connect in the Creator in the Congress, the upcoming Congress, when we will reach one, how will the whole world feel it, what kind of influence can this have on the whole world?
R. Certainly if we connect and the connection will exist between us, this connection is at the center of the entire world Kli and will influence everyone. We will radiate to them from the unity among us, both the upper force and the upper light, the connection between us that we attain, it will all shine on me, on them. In this way they will feel what they are lacking, they will feel that the source for it is here, the source of connection and they will come closer to us, they will come closer. I am certain that they will come closer to us in a good way because we are not in separation between us, God forbid, we are not at war like those Jews were 2,000 years ago and that's why they came and conquered them and killed them and did all those things. To this day if they had worked on the connection between them, the connection between them and the force of the upper light ,they would shine through their vessel towards humanity. It will be a totally different experience to this day. Our work is to be connected between us and with the Creator and have a connection through which the force can shine and enter all of reality and each and every heart of every human.
18. S. (46:22) How can we aim those knocks so that the prayer will not grow weaker and how can we recognize when the vessel is ready?
R. This all depends on the effort in the connection between us. I think that we are making progress in that. Everything depends on the connection between us and I think that even women who are not ready for it necessarily, since a woman carries within her much greater will receive compared to a man, nevertheless, she joins us, she participates in this connection. I'm very happy about women, a big part of them works seriously on the connection like that. Shut your eyes and connect in a heartfelt way, the Creator will finish this work for us.
19. S. (47:47) How to combine together the prayer and high spirits?
R. A prayer in high spirits it's a must. First of all there is a prayer before prayer, who am I turning to see a force, from what state, the state he created. He did it, he arranged it because there is None Else Besides Him. There is no other reason for all of my states except for him. Why did he do what he did, although I do not quite understand nevertheless, I need to try to reach Him from that state with my request. How do I reach him with my request? Only through the connection between the friends. How do I come to it with a friend when it is an unnatural thing, I have no desire for it. I am asking him to make the connection for us and from the connection between us if we turn to him, it is certain that we will, all of us, come out of our ego and come to the Creator and reach the first spiritual degree. Specifically thanks to righteous women that the children of Israel came out of Egypt, not thanks to the men but thanks to the women.
20. S. (49:38) What does it mean to work beyond human forces?
R. Beyond human forces that you could say simply that human forces are our ego, and to work on above our ego. Besides, a little longer, a little more, more in the form of bestowal.
21. S. (50:03) Should we always be in a state of fighting aggressively against our ego?
R. We should not actually wage war against our ego, it is better if we think about the connection that is above our ego that is more beneficial that is better, it is more attractive, it is warmer.
22. S. (50:29) If I don't feel the ten, is this egoistic to ask to feel my connection with the ten?
R. It is not egoistic because my final goal, if I feel it, I will come closer to the Creator. So don't be sorry for not feeling it but be happy that I have a deficiency that I feel but I can't feel the ten. In this way I advance, and in every negative state you should see the positive side. The good, the direction towards the goal.
23. S. (51:25) How do we reach a state of true despair so that this prayer will come from the bottom of the heart?
R. We need to relate to each and every state of ours purposefully. How are prayer should come out from our ten toward the Creator, and how it should build a connection between us, and this connection that I build that my friends build together with me, this connection should constantly grow stronger, since we are building a connection between us more and more and we strengthen it and from that will be directed more towards the Creator. Why directed towards Him and what way do we expect Him and then through all of these modalities of my request, we will reach connection, this is called “I to my beloved and my beloved to me.”
24. S. (52:49) What form should we approach the prayer so that we will have a common prayer from the center of the ten?
R. First of all, connection, the fact that I come to the lesson and I feel that I have nothing towards the ten or anything and I come because we could do something in this life so I come in this way lacking much of the emotion for the matter, but when I enter into it more and more I am impressed by the feeling, even if I don't hear it precisely the air works and if I don't feel it, I can feel those vibrations that are all around me and in this way I connect more to the friends and I begin to live. The important thing is to raise myself to the degree of a more internal feeling. We exist in the connection between the hearts even to a small extent, but into the connection not in my heart or not another friend’s heart but between the hearts, there I want to exist all the time.
25. S. (54:39) What does it mean that a friend and the ten has grown weaker and how do we know not to harm him when we try to help him or her?
R. That's a problem, a true problem that I cannot even explain. We have to think together and discuss together how to approach that friend who grew weaker, moved away from us, distance himself, that we can approach that we don't know how to approach him. We need to pray to the Creator to give us the mind and heart to perform an action of bestowal, of correction in the correct act and in this way, we will find a way to eventually turn to the Creator from our connection, to demand, and to receive advice from him. Many questions in a person's heart and the Creator’s advice shall be established.
26. S. (56:06) If the friend has grown weaker does it mean that the Creator has given him some time off?
R. The Creator doesn't give anyone timeouts, there are no timeouts, I've never heard such a thing. The Creator gave me permission to leave then I can go out and have fun and do something, that's a new thing. We should write it down, there's no such thing. How do you call a timeout from the army? I was in the army forty years ago. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that there is no such thing. There is no free time, there is no rest, there is no moment of the station and spiritual work. Spirituality is a constant stream moving at an infinite pace. It's like a constant current, a direct current DC, and the fact that for us it is divided into various pulses and waves and all these stops in the middle, this is all our vessel that cannot adjust itself to the correct intentions and we correct intensity that's why we are working according to the time as we say, but in truth when we come to connection and the correction is a complete constant stream and that's how there's no special release notes no timeouts. When we fall ,we fall.
27. S. (58:36) Does the form of the prayer of a person also stem from the root of his soul?
R. The form of man, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Certainly, there are many books from the Middle Ages, even before that, and there are probably some books like that today. How could you read a person's destiny according to his palm, his face, the shape of his ears, all types of things. I think there is a connection, but I think there are people that understand this connection and can speak about it correctly, but besides that what does it give me? What does it give me? That I know from my own spiritual work how much I am a nothing, how much I am a rag like Rabash says now you are aa rag like me, and this is good, by this I come to know myself, according to how much I wanted and I wanted to do, and I didn't do it.
28. S. (01:00:01) How does the difference between us support the common prayer of the ten?
R. Specifically the common prayer, no, the prayer of the individual but rather all of us as one is what works, because in a prayer we connect, and this way we get to the Creator who is one for all of us. That is how the prayer has to be in a minion, in a quorum, which is a ten. If you are a ten that prays, this is a complete minion, a complete quorum. We can also call it sanctity, Holiness which is a special prayer to the Creator. Like in Kaddish and so on and so forth. You need the ten as a spiritual concept. The people are now between one another and they wish to make themselves as one man with one heart, and their connection is prepared for containing the idea of the Creator.
29. S. (01:01:15) Can we harm someone by praying for others?
R. No, we don't work directly on them, everything goes directly through the connection between us and how much of that connection is facilitated by our prayer, and as more aim towards the purpose of connection, that is when we advance.
30. S. (01:01:42) How can we guarantee in the Congress that the change of direction will occur, and I will not think about myself?
R. By not thinking of ourselves but only of the general vessel that is our obligation. Let's decide now that in those three days of the upcoming Congress we only think of the general vessel between us, because our future depends on it.
R. Thank you to women for their questions, I can truly feel your participation, it is good, it is full. Also, in the morning lesson and throughout the day when you watch the lesson, I can feel the force of the women and the general group.

31. S. (01:06:11) Whether the Congress is actually the culmination, the end of a degree or a leap to a new degree?
R. The Congress is a congregation, a gathering by connecting between us, we wish to reach a higher state. Since the ascent happens through the connection more and more the ever-growing connection and that's what we wish to do. We wish to come to a state where our connection will reach the first spiritual degree. Where we begin to feel a spiritual phenomenon and the connection between us. This has nothing to do with the number of people in the group, as it's written the smallest group of most of the collective is two, it is better to have more than 5, and the best number is 10, even twelve or thirteen is not, but it should be a certain number of people with whom we can scrutinize the problem of connection, because we all need to solve those problems. In this way we advance. So I hope this Congress will give us a new feeling of connection, the first spiritual sensation where of course we are not the ones who do about the Upper Light, nevertheless we should have already a demand for it to happen. That's it.
32. S. (01:08:20) We read his letter, these are the brave ones among the first class of warriors who have a yearning, willing to go forward into their last drop of blood, and I compare myself to those brave men and I feel complete contradiction, oppositeness?
R. Rabash writes that yes these are weak people there's not much in them they are not smart they're not strong they don't have a good tolerance for suffering and they know that they are like that. They must turn to the Creator and connect these with those since the goal, that beyond the ocean is important to them and that's why they are willing to be in one boat to reach the good place, the correct place without which their entire lives are meaningless. So first of all, we get people who feel that their lives are meaningless, that they lack content that is one thing, the second thing is that they understand that alone they are incapable.
