Convention "World Kabbalah L'Am" - "Discovering Life in the Ten" -  Lesson No. 1. Purim: The Joy in the Gathering

1. Rav’s Introduction: The joyfulness in the gathering is a completely different kind of joy that that usually people have when they gather. We see today, during the pandemic that we cannot just be in contact with people we do not know or in restaurants or social events where we think that this is how we can increase the infection and the transmission of the disease. The Creator wants to show us how our connections may be incorrect, inefficient and may be harmful so we could better understand that our connection needs to be more and more scrutinized. Specifically, so we have to start thinking about what kind of connection between us is effective and not that we just simply come together and socialize with each other. The joyfulness of being together between people has to be like what we want to determine in the 10, as it is written about the students of the Rabbi Shimon they come to the lesson, they come together. They feel how much they hate each other, how much they repel each other, they do not want to look at each other, they do not want to talk to each other. 

This is how the desire to receive grows from one time to the other, they recognize that they reach such egoistic desires. Specifically in the connection between them, not with other people but in between them. Because on top of this rejection, hatred which appears between them they have to build connections to the level of love and one does not cancel the other, love covers all the crimes. We use the desire to receive which is growing and burning and also the desire to bestow we ask the Creator to give us this new desire to bestow. As the Creator wants to clarify the desire to receive in us more and more, the rejection or at least the indifference between us, that it is difficult between us to rise to a new kind of connection. We have to be aware of this, that this is specifically our work, love covers all crimes and for us the joyfulness of the gathering is the joy of connecting above the rejection. 

When I come to the lesson and during the lesson, it is the primary state of connection between us like it is among the students of Kabbalah all the time. I see that I do not have any relation, connection to the others, I see that I do not want to look at that one or this one, this looks wrong and the other one seems wrong or kinds of things like that. I know that it is the Creator who wakes up these feelings in me and I am happy that he wakes up more and more of this egoistic desire to receive that I do not love and I do not want anybody and I just want to be me and the Creator, even me above the Creator. This is the kind of ego which wants to rule so this way we ultimately are happy after we gain recognition, understanding that we are happy that the Creator wakes up this ever bigger desire to receive in us. Each day even if it is not rejection or repulsion that I do not want to kill my friends like the students of Rabbi Shimon on that high-level but to have at least some kind of indifference with them that I do not care if they are here or not. 

I need to clearly feel what exactly the Creator is waking up in me, what is he doing with that and I have to recognize that this connection between us, it is essentially the vessel, it is the system of the soul which we need to raise between us to maintain all these inclinations of rejection, hatred, criticism between us, we do not erase, we do not throw away, we do not forget about it. Instead, we go on top of this in a very delicate way not to lose these egoistic desires and tendencies, so on top of them on top of each and every such desire we try to cover them with connection with the degree of love. Specifically, in the correct connection between hatred and love in the connection between them which appears on the top of the resistance it is the contrast between them. This is how we discover the correct spiritual world and the Creator is the source of both the egoistic desire that does not fade out and it does not disappear, it becomes the basis, as the foundation for us to advance in connections of love all the way to the love above the ego. 

The joyfulness of the gathering is not like at some wedding or some prom or a party where we just simply feel happiness, being among happy people. We are happy among us, being among people who feel hatred towards each other, rejecting each other because they find the desire to receive in them which does not want to accept anybody, that I reject everybody. According to our nature it is not such nice lovely and friendly people who always want to be together, always want to be together typically people come to the wisdom who are not so social, or who have a soulmate but people who feel alone, they have a sense of loneliness in life and we remain in that sense very far from each other internally. We have to maintain this, we have to keep this, we do not erase this, it is not like kids who embrace one time and then fight the other time no, we are maintaining both feelings at once. Love covers all crimes, we have the crimes we have to cover them with love, more crimes with more love, every time we feel new darkness and we feel new light and it all comes from the Creator. 

We just have to feel what the kind of darkness that the Creator gives us because this initiates our new stage and we wake up ourselves from the darkness, we wake up to the Creator and we ask him to bring us the power of connection on top of the distance and separation. If we feel connection without separation that is not spiritual, we have to feel love which is exactly covering the hatred. Otherwise, these are not yet correct spiritual feelings that are suitable for a Kabbalist, we want to compose the whole system of creation in a complete Kli, both darkness and light and when they both connect as in the verse from the Zohar says they're both the darkness and light come together. We are assembling the system of Adam which is inviting both the darkness and the light and wanting to build one on top of the other and when we have both like we have two legs to stand on. 

We then begin to see the upper system that the Creator stands behind the system so our whole work is in that we do not shy away from negative feelings of distance, criticism, rejection we do not delete anything, we keep it because this needs to be the foundation of the spiritual Partzuf. The ego needs to be the other side of the soul, holding the soul and on top of it we invite from the Creator the force of connection and we only cover the force of separation with the force of connection. This assures us, gives us independence that we progress with both of these forces and this brings us joy. So the joy of the gathering is that the gathering happens among people who hate and do not want each other, they are indifferent to each other. 

When a certain new mutual inclination arises for us, it is still very little, let's say that we wake up from sleeping and we do not care about anything or wake up and we have a desire, not to go to the friends, not to be close to the friends, not to be in a workshop or something similar. About the more we reject each other it indicates that our soul is growing and we need to be in connection between us all the time so we can strengthen each other and wake up each other. Specifically, the mutual rejection is the correct beginning to take a step forward together despite the rejection. When I saw the headline of the lesson, the Joyfulness of the Gathering, we need to understand that this joy is on top of the resistance, on top of the hatred and we want to connect specifically above the opposite forces, that brings us joy. It is not the regular kind of gathering and not the regular kind of joy. We stand on two legs, hatred and rejection, connection and love. 

This is how it happens left and right left and right when we connect these two together then we discover the Creator which is the source of both, both hatred and love, I created the evil inclination and I created the spice for treating it. From here we have to think what kind of actions can invite the right attitude in us to rejection and love, how can we relate correctly to both so we are in the middle because the hate comes from above, the love comes from above, I need to make the correct balance between them. I have to exist in between just like the whole nature comes from minus and plus from opposite forces that are correctly integrating with each other. 

So, this is how we need to think and see of course you have many questions and I said that everybody has to speak to himself and speak between you because we have to move forward in a way that both feelings, the rejection and the connection are conspicuous we reveal them that there is no good without evil, there is no evil without good and only in this way. When we gather when they come together then the right way we start recognizing who we are and who the Creator is. So as a result of this we also need to try to get to some correct results from this. Let us say that the person hates the group he needs to understand that this is an opportunity for him to install the connection above the rejection, covering hate with love so he does not escape the group because he starts to feel hatred and he does not want to be with anybody. That wakes up in him the progress on top of the rejection covering hate with love so we need to take care of the friends so if such resistance, hatred, criticism appears we need to remind the friends that this is an opportunity to connect even further. 

Not to leave but it go even deeper inside and the other way around, there is also a question about being in some inclination to connect to love to embrace, if there is no criticism, if you lost the other side of the coarseness, the rejection between us then they also have to think how can we be in a state where the evil and good are in balance. Where we reach a state where the good is always covers the evil but it appears only to the extent that it has to cover the evil so we are not like children who are just like connecting without no boundaries. Then they are fighting boundaries as well, so for us the calculation for better or worse, is always balanced. It leads us to the right attitude that these feelings these relationships are always taking us to the source, to the Creator so the joyfulness in the assembly, it comes from discovering serious people who have rejections and doubts. Each and every day they have to overcome their desires and the doubt and until they come to connection they take a long time and they are getting and even during the assembly they want to run away from it, they do not want to be in the assembly. So on all of those things we have to work correctly with in balance and this is called the wise can foresee the next state so we are always looking forward with two eyes. This is the only way we can see the truth coming from both that both the force of rejection and the force of connection, the truth lies in between because this is not in this or that not in connection without limit and not in hatred without boundaries. It is both when we direct both to the source which is the Creator so there are many more words to say but let us go forward.

2. R. It always grows on top of the evil as a dressing as a cover and the selfish ego the Creator created remains, we just need to dress it, cover it with restriction, screen and reflected light and grows this way but the more we grow it is always on top of the growing ego.

3. S. (21:13) How to overcome the hatred and we have many questions about it again and again how to do this and you teach us this everyday in the lesson so what do we miss, are we missing the balance between the two, what is missing to get to the next degree?

R. Yes, it's exactly you are missing the balance between the two, you are missing the balance, I don't move away from the evil and I don't move closer to the good I want to find the balancing point between them on top of all the evil that has to be good but on top of the evil. I look at both and I use both to advance with two legs progressing this is called recognition of evil on one side the Creator did this and there is no shame about creating the evil because without it we couldn't come to the opposite to the good and build ourselves between. We do not belong to either about this it is said go to the craftsman who the Creator created it. I want to be comprised of both and out of the two, I identify the Creator and the cling to the Creator is the source of both.

S. What brings the balance?

R. It is the thought, all is clarified by thought, I don't let go of the evil and with that evil I go and attain the good and I want both to exist, one enables the other, the good covers or dresses the evil but inside it remains. I cannot be in the good without having the evil because then I am like a baby I am happy yes I am happy because I am happy. Do you have a reason no, I have a reason because I have found the evil and I have found the good and I connect them correctly and from the correct connection balance between them I find their higher cause which is the Creator the higher source. Then it is a truly mature attitude and progress who is the purpose of creation.

4. S. (25:27) When we try to do the exercise you mentioned then sadly our nature makes us focus on one of those patterns, only feeling the evil and not taking the good into account or taking only the good into account, and then we try to do the balancing work we fall in to sadness and then the sadness stops us in the work, where do we take the force and the feeling to overcome?

R. I rise above both the evil and the good, I feel I want to be tied to the Creator and from the Creator come both the good and evil feelings. Whatever happens to me comes from there and I want to use both so I can build my connection with the Creator through both. If this is my goal, that I don't forget the evil when I'm in the good, I don't forget the evil when I am in the good, instead most important for me to discover the Creator as the source for both for all my states.

5. S. (27:16) This joy above the contradiction, only in the Creator?

R. The joy you need to discover is not from rejection or connection, it is the joy, that in this assembly we have, we come to contact with the Creator, we come close to Him reaching adhesion with Him, this is the joy. So the joy of the assembly that with both the good and the evil we ultimately connect both and balance both, we use both the coarseness, the restriction, the screen and the reflected light and there we try to connect between us and we try bestow mutually to each other and to the Creator, from this we receive joy.

S. Why should we hold on to the coarseness, to the rejection?

R. You cannot come to the Creator, resemble Him without the coarseness, it cannot be. According to what can you build the force of connection, giving, if you do not keep the coarseness on the other side, it cannot exist this way in spirituality. Only in the physical world in a childish way is it possible when one exists without the other.

S. Okay, I have the friends with me in the lesson, we try to think about how to connect, find the Creator between us and you say that we have to maintain all the rest as well, I tried to leave the rest before?

R. I must not give up the evil desires and relations between us. How can there be a sense of connection and love, if we let go of hatred and rejection, how can one be without the other? There has to be coarseness, there has to be resistance, on top of that I find a new relation and the right attitude. Also the Creator, look at what He is waking up in the world, the more we develop the more and more separation, distance, hatred, rejection received between people, between people and between countries, between everybody and it is only so that we can see that the evil remains. The evil relations remain because this is the foundation of the Partzuf, and it does not purify, but we have to restrict the use of it, the way it appears, and we have to understand that it appears only for us to build the connection between us on top of it, all the way to love, and then both hate and love we have to make sure that they exist in us at once, as if in two lines. We are still small, we do not have a spiritual vessels yet, so we cannot hold one together with the other, in spirituality there is hatred and love, plus and minus together and we are in between, this is the tendency to the Creator. Just like how technology works, everything that does not belong to the internal level of the men, we there put together systems or we find systems in nature, which are always working as both this and that, the words of the living God like plus and minus, like electricity or how metabolism operates in living cells, so in everything, but in our feelings we still cannot do this, because this requires establishing, designing the system on our own.

S. ....

R. Only the Creator, only the inclination to the Creator helps us build this, the source of both is the Creator and I cannot detect Him unless it is coming from both sides.

S. How to connect to now in the lesson, we have arguments so now I try to love them, I try to find the Creator, to how can we do this?

R. If you don't try to build the connection with them above the coarseness, then it is a very weak connection, then it will go away tomorrow, you'll have to build it in a healthy way, when you discover all the things that is in them and in you as negative and hateful, and on top of that you nevertheless accept them as the vessels of your soul. That in the mutual connection between the plus and minus you can discover the Creator then you will know how to progress. Only between them can we feel the connection, the connection is felt according to the intensity of the disconnection, otherwise it does not work, we have to feel the distance. How much connection do you get from the friends you saw 10 minutes ago compared to somebody who you have not seen for a year? So the detachment and the rejection only happens in order to build a stronger sense of connection, one can only happen on top of the other.

S. Okay, so we are gathering now, we came to the minimum level of connection, so what should we remember that something reject me before so I can connect more?

R. If you do not forget all the states between you and you progress on top of it further and further, then you will always feel the foundation of the selfish ego, and on top of that you now go to connect. Otherwise you are just like a child, thrown from one state to the other, and you will not have the coarseness to develop the Partzuf on top of it, there has to be hatred among everybody in the 10, and the connection to the level of love between everybody, and then you have the Partzuf with coarseness, with force of resistance with the force of a connection on top of the resistance, with the the inclination to the Creator above all, and so on, this is how we build ourselves like in the upper spiritual system.

S. Can I wake up this salt and pepper inside by myself, or only the group can do that?

R. I do not want to interfere with this and give you advice, you need to search for this, if you find this it is good, if you don't then it is not, some will not find this yet, because they do not yet have the developed souls. Those who have developed souls, they we'll see not in an artificial way, but it will emerge from them, it will appear how much they reject the others, and yet they can come close to the others as they have no other choice, and this depends on the size of the soul in the person, if you see a strong rejection from others it indicates that you have a strong, good desire to receive that you can build on top of, and between you and the Creator, but it is all built just like in electricity between lines, between the plus and minus.

6. S. (38:10) The relationship between one and other, should they be concealed or should they reveal something to preserve the relationship of love in the 10?

R. You need to talk about it, think about it, read about it, I hope that our friends who are organizing the lessons, they have a whole group of people, I hope that they can add to us a lot of quotes, excerpts that speak about specifically the connection between the plus and the minus, the hatred and the love, and how we can direct ourselves to the Creator through them, that the Creator appears between them. We need those sources but only from that we will come to the joy in the assembly, and not just a plain joy because otherwise we are all happy like children and we are happy because we are all happy, but the joy in the gathering also includes the rejection which we feel to each other. So the topic is a very alive, very principal topic for our progress, so let's try to discover it as much as possible, in this kind of healthy way we will progress. Also we need to understand that otherwise we have no progress, but as much as each can participate in this, this is not something that is appearing and burning in everybody, but pay attention that is specifically the people who are repelled by the connection and do not want connection in the group, we have to hold them and wake up this principle in them, that love covers all crimes. That they need support from us on one hand, on the other hand we also need to see how we develop are we aware that we have mutual rejection and not that we just fall into some mutual closeness, but we have both that we have to be aware that we have both, not just like children who are either laughing or crying, which is suitable for kids. Instead, we are in states that are comprised of both in between, and the Creator who is in between, as He adds to the mutual connection between the plus and minus His presence, He adds himself as the source of both, this is about what we are joyful, because of this because between the plus and the minus the Creator appears as the source of both, they are nourished by Him and we come closer to Him and this is why the assembly brings us joy.

7. S. (42:17) Does the work of true reality start when one is diverted from the truthful reality, or it starts in the connection in the 10?

R. Yes, but intermittently, sometimes it happens this way sometimes the other way, but we must not forget that we need both the good and the evil, we need to hold both pockets, this and that with both we can advance.

8. S. (42:58) You said that reality is neither in the connection or in the hate, so where is the truth?

R. The truthful reality is the Creator, from the Creator comes both, the whole reality comes from Him, but He himself is also composed by both, and He is above both, and He is the one we have to attain and He is the only reality.

9. S. (43:38) This work of rising above the hate to love, is this my personal work, or the common work of the 10?

R. This has to be together both me and the 10, and the 10 towards me, it has to happen together.

10. S. (44:11) Question about the point of balance between the force of separation and love, it is all revealed in the heart, is it like a new state when they are both in the heart at the same time, or will it reveal subsequently, when we see changes one to the other and then we clarify this in the thought, or is it a new state in the heart?

R. I understand that we still cannot discover both of these things together, this is our work to discover one on top of the other, light above darkness and vice versa, and it cannot be that we discover the common source without it, we need to search for it, you cannot get answers from me about this because the answers have to come from you by searching for it.

S. So we need to understand that it is given from above, so we need to work with it in the right order and then it will be clarified in the thought, so it is not something we ourselves build, we cannot manufacture this?

R. We are both building and manufacturing and asking for it, it does not matter, do whatever you can, ask, turn to the Creator, read with the friends and then you will find it. I will not give you more than what I already said, it is something very clear that we need to detect both the left and right one against the other, and in between we direct ourselves directly to their source, which is the Creator.

11. S. (46:25) We speak of remembering, holding onto the evil, how can we reconcile this keeping the friends fresh in my mind?

R. I begin to see each friend as more of a means, more of an inseparable part of me, in order to put together our relationship in the right way to discover the Creator between us.

12. S. (47:10) During the state of darkness it looks impossible to bestow or love, or to see that goal, so how can we be in joy in the state when we are locked into the ego?

R. Do not ask me about such a state, you will reach the state and you will understand that both the good and evil comes from the same source, specifically as we are the created beings and we have to come to identify and detect and see the Creator as the source of both, and above both of them, above both the good and evil we connect to the Creator, and then the concept of the Creator will become clear to us, this is all our work. Where does it write that the bad connects to the good, I do not remember right now.

13. S. (48:40) What is the best way to keep the balance between the plus and the minus in the 10?

R. It means that I constantly aim at the Creator and I see the Creator as the source of both, and I also position myself in the middle between good and evil, because this way I want to be built in order to be opposite to the Creator and progress in a healthy way, through all the relationships in the 10, between us that we are coming closer to the center of the ten, and from there to the Creator, this is our work.

14. S. (49:41) Asking about the work of joy, as it seems to be a very important part of the work, it seems that any action should be with joy and it is also a result, but when we had the preparation for the lesson I had a complete spontaneous joy and I could not see any right or left, and I do not know if I can trust this spontaneous joy or there has to be some extra work to be done about it?

R. From all of these questions try to reach the right states, that the only one proper thing can be where the evil will not go away but it becomes the foundation by which you can build the good.

15. S. (50:43) I want to thank the Creator for giving us the state in the 10 yesterday, that we felt the differences, rejection that did not come from the relationship between the friends but it came through the people who are closest to the friends, like from the spouses and the children, is this normal?

R. No, we are speaking only about the relationship between the friends, on top of each rejection we build the connection, if we still feel the influence of the people from the household or from families in the relation in the 10, this is still reserved for beginners, but later it will not happen, as we will be able to distinguish between the relation in the ten and other relations at home or from the street. The important for me becomes only the relationship in the 10 and in these relationships we have to focus on what is between us and to aim ourselves to the Creator through them.

16. S. (52:13) Why do states of evil and hatred awaken fear in us?

R. We don't want to see them, we think that it will disconnect us from something, but the rejection that exists between us will show us properly where we have to grow stronger, where we have to strengthen our relationship, so the revelation of evil which we find between us should bring us joy as Baal HaSulam writes, happy I am about the evil that is appeared, because I can work on it, and I can connect myself in a greater stronger connection with my 10.

17. S. (53:17) You say that we have to keep the good and evil and work like men to build the connection with the Creator, and this brings me back to the article of Rabash who says that he have to sell the beams of the house, we have to forget about the spies and leave them behind, and now we say that we have to keep them not to forget them, so can we understand how to reconcile between but we read in that Rabash article and what we hear today?

R. I don't speak about how to understand the article, you can bring other articles saying the opposite, so only from the total connection we reach, that we can understand everything, it is good that you read those articles but it is not enough to bring a question to the group, start investigating this is good.

18. S. (54:32) Is there a way to practice this work in the 10, or is it in individual work with ourselves?

R. You have to talk about this in the 10 and locate, detect these states, connect the two opposite states, of course you have to know this. See how many people are running away from the tens and the Bnei Baruch organization because they do not know how to balance the rejection with connection and this is essential in order to be aimed at the Creator, like having two reins when sitting on the horse, you can go forwards only this way, balancing the two together.

19. S. (55:33) Why does the feeling of hatred in the physical world is stronger than the hate we feel in the 10?

R. Because there you feel more, feel the things more sharply you care about them, because you are highly influenced by what happens in the physical world, that's why it influences you stronger.

S. Will this change?

R. You do not need to wait for it to change, you have to change! Nothing changes by itself unless we change it, the fool is sitting, tormenting himself and he is not awarded by anything, you have to change.

S. It depends on me?

R. It depends only on you.

20. S. (56:36) Is the physical connection affecting the spiritual connection, so should we connect the two different connections?

R. We need to connect them together, there is no spiritual connection or physical connection there is only one connection, meaning it is inside the 10 between the friends.

S. How does the selfish ego support the soul, how does that support the soul? 

R. The ego supports the soul negatively seemingly, as the advantage of the light is from darkness, the group the ten the study the upper light, The Creator effects it and adds to the building of the soul from the good side, the soul includes the matter which is the desire to receive with its hate and all the negative parts, and above it there is the upper light which connects the two, this is the kindling of the fire, which is the desire to receive and the light comes from above, which the light can grip, all the negative connections between you and this is how you find a place to burn.

21. R. Here also we have a problem, how do we bestow to the Creator? I can bestow to Him to the extent that we resist ourselves and we create this web of connection between us from which we can bestow to the Creator. We always need to see where in our actions, what do we resist, what do we overcome and in this way we come to the spiritual action since it can be only on top of the ego that was created so that we will have something to overcome and in this way we will advance, we will move towards one another above the rejection and move towards the Creator above this rejection between one another. This is our work, if we come to the connection between us and the connection with the Creator and to all that we should have joy. Joy, gladness is a sign of correct gathering.

22. S. (01:01:10) To clarify something practical at some point the work seems theoretically easy and not practically easy, I see that basically I have a timetable I meet with the friends I go to the lesson I disseminate, there is hatred and disturbances towards the friends and I basically continue with the same schedule the lessons the meeting with the friends and dissemination. So the work is just to continue and to resist those that desire to run away, to just continue above all of the distractions?

R. We are not running away from anything, rather we accept everything we have as necessary essential things hates, love, doubt, inclinations it doesn't matter everything remains. We simply wish to organize these things in such a way that we received from our Creator both this and that and from all of those things we compiled the attitude towards the Creator where we have to be with a negative force that He created and all of the modes of expression of it. Also, the positive force that we had pain in the group through the work in the group, turn into the Creator and from all of those we comprise the Partzuf of the Neshama, soul that has all of the degrees of the coarseness, being restricted and not being used. That which we can use to bestow to the Creator in order to give Him contentment, this is our work. 

In the spiritual Partzuf that we wish to construct from all of us from each ten, we wish to see which parts are necessary for the spiritual Partzuf all of the parts are necessary, everything has to be there. The question is what do we use and for which purpose, if I wish to connect with the Creator then according to how much I need to connect and resemble Him, I arranged and I checked in me which desires, which saw switch tendencies can be appropriate for the connection with Him and which cannot. This is how we advance, but I have the correct criteria meaning only according to what brings us closer to the Creator according to equivalence, identification equivalence of the form, what needs to be there.

I need negative things above which I can do the positive things and I use those to advance, so the first thing in the Partzuf when we learn about the spiritual Partzuf what is the Toch of Partzuf of the forces that are under restriction and in reflected light action with the Creator. Where is if I have those desires and qualities with which I can only remain neutral relative to the Creator and not bestow to Him, not bestowing through the friends but just to restrict them. This is the Sof of Partzuf from there it is such that I don't even take into consideration, such desires of mine they're not even in Partzuf, they are below Sof. Those are my desires that I couldn't work with, I simply don't take them into consideration.

23. S. How is it that our internal work with the screen, restriction and reflected light gives way to sensation of the greatness of the Creator?

R. Because only on top of the correct work, my desires and my relationship in the ten which I direct correctly and I wish to construct from it a root equal to everything, the good the bad, the hate the love, the will to receive, the will to bestow. From that I detect my correct attitude towards the Creator which is above it and in this way I build the Partzuf.

24. S. (01:07:54) How do we come to the deficiency between love and hate?

R. Try it for a few weeks and then we will ask and talk about it, but try it consistently for several weeks.

25. S. (01:08:34) We are saying that in our work we need to build the love above hatred and connect the opposites and to discover the Creator and we say this awakens joy and this is the question. The joy comes by itself or we need to build it as well?

R. Joy is the result of the correct connection between the two lines, right and left. Then the middle line appears and the fulfillment in it brings us joy.

S. To clarify, if there is no joy that appears indicates that I worked incorrectly?

R. Yes.

S. Can there be work in connection but as a good kind of routine, something that I know I have to do and build, and discover the Creator and so on, but the joy doesn't appear and I just relate to it as work?

R. You can relate to it like work that brings you joy only in the end, it might take a long time until you begin to feel any feelings of gladness and joy but you know but in order to be correctly directed at the Creator you have to relate to your entire world to it all of your positive and negative emotions.

26. S. (01:10:30) How to hold onto the balance between the Aviut that appears in the ten and the force of Arvut against it?

R. We wish to bring everything to the force of Arvut and in there we need to strengthen one another, to bring all the negative and positive that exist within each one and all of us together, to raise it to the Creator because the Creator is a guarantor to all of us. So if we connect between us and with the Creator we will come to uphold the Arvut that exists only if we connect to the friends between us and to the Creator. The Arvut is the condition for it being in the right connection and the right tendency between us and with the Creator. Advance in this way in the ever-growing mutual guarantee towards the purpose of creation.

27. R. It is natural that when we agree with the Creator we are in joy regarding what He is doing to us, if we disagree with the Creator, but on the condition that I rise above my disagreement that stems from my ego and I wish to be above my ego, to let it suffer, my body, my ego and I wish to rise above it, in this way I am also in joy, joy as a result of good deeds that a person does in the spiritual work.

28. R. It is no wonder that in this world, in our world the negative attitude between people is making its appearance, the relationship between nations, in the family's, between political parties, various streams and sects in society, between nations, wherever, we see resistance, collision, when people are negating one another. Those things that take place between us are a sign of a great big will to receive that is demanding increasingly more of its egoistic fulfillment, specifically above the others and that is a sign that we are coming to the need to correct them. So it is no wonder that we have to also be happy that our ego is being revealed in a terrible way and it will obligate us to rise above it, reluctantly, and establish the system of connection.

29. S. (01:17:52) Practically what do we need to do to intensify the importance of spirituality?

R. Practically we need to constantly be in connection and we have that tendency towards connection that we have to also try gradually without breaking the connection to add to the connection those tendencies towards rejection, so they also will fit in as the Achoraim, posterior of the spiritual Partzuf. By restricting them, not working with them we are aware of their presence and we feel it, this is the meaning of love covers all transgressions, because transgressions are crimes, are in the Sof of Partzuf and love is in the Toch of Partzuf and this is how we advance. It will become clear to us that we are constructed of both.

30. S. (01:19:24) To what extent the engagement with the feelings that arise positive and negative need to be each one's personal work and how much of it is in the ten?

R. I think that negative and positive emotions should be revealed in the connection between us, the friends in the ten and all kinds of other relationships. I don't care about what's happening there outside on the street, at work, the main thing is in the ten, how to feel ourselves together. With more negative forces that appear and the more positive forces from that we will build our Partzuf, the general, common Partzuf that all the negative things between us we will collect them all together with the positive things and we would want to establish the positive things over the negative. As we call it, love covers all transgressions and from that we will build a spiritual Partzuf so it becomes a Partzuf and in it we will reveal the Creator. The Creator is revealed specifically in the gap between the two, the negative things and the positive things. This is the meaning of reflected light that we are raising, we are raising it from our egoistic will to receive, a restriction, screen, and reflected light that we perform and without that great will to receive we won't be able to create the reflected light where we can reveal the Creator and connect to Him. So do not disregard your negative feeling, your negative relationships but rather set your eyes on both, the bad and the good and the good should only cover the bad, but the bad is the foundation, the Creator created the will to receive which is the foundation of all reality.

S. (01:22:01) Of course I'm only referring to the ten between us and let's say I get this feeling, negative, positive. It doesn't matter, except for the prayer that I always have to raise. What do I do with it in the ten, do I tell the friends that I feel like this or that?

S. Speak not about your personal issues but the principles and the method itself how we are constructing the Partzuf.

31. S. (01:22:35) What is going to push me from all the blows to the prayer, where and how do I have the right prayer?

R. Everything that we are going through directly to the Creator is that I want Him to connect me with all of the friends that will give you success and all of your actions, where you wish to draw the Creator to the connection with the friends are pushed the friends into the connection with the Creator and you're working only for the sake of that, that you don't exist you only want to carry out the action.

32. S. (01:23:43) Sometimes friends in the ten have a descent they don't come or when they have an ascent they do come and aspire. How do we help these friends who are in a descent and they don't come, but yet we want to help them as a ten?

R. You need to speak about it, that even in a descent when a friend comes to the ten that he greatly adds to the ten because we need specifically his negative states to add them to the connection between us or else this connection is incomplete and we cannot advance. He truly has to be inside the ten with his negative feelings, his criticism, with everything even if he is sleeping and he doesn't care about what we are studying, nothing just let him sit among us and it is best if he is there because he is carrying out his role in the ten even in this way.

33. S. (01:25:10) If I understand correctly in mutual guarantees a ten needs to be in this with the Creator, how is this expressed?

R. I need to go to the Arvut article to the extent that we can establish the correct connection between us then we are building the center of connection between us, the center of the ten where we are included together. Where we are willing to give everything for the connection between us and then from that feeling, that attitude we discover the force that dwells above it which is the Creator, the Creator is above the mutual guarantee between us as He is the origin of that. He is the source of the will to receive but later is dispersed, moved apart and we need to reconnect it into one, using the mutual guarantee.

34. S. (01:26:51) When joyfulness comes, do we give thanks for it and what other response do we need to have to rise above?

R. The joy is to be as a result of when we are above our understanding of one another above each other's weaknesses and the good things in each and everyone, but that we accept each one with everything they have both positive and negative because those things have to be in each one and in the connection between us. When we connect, we are happy about the sum total, the general salad, the mix that we are in that we can absorb into this mix everything that exists in everyone that there's no difference between us that we are ready to have all of humanity with everything that it has to connect to us.

35. R. We need to put ourselves together in the right way between the negative and the positive forces and in the connection between them, all of the passageways between them, where we are and how we can from all of these states raised in the relationships between us and between us and the Creator to always have happiness from using all of the forces of nature for that exalted goal. That we are connecting to the source that from Him comes the positive and negative, the will to receive and the will to bestow, everything. The concept of the Creator is a term, a concept that is the result of those two forces and also above it, disconnected from it. That is why our work always has to be in happiness, the whole purpose of our connection in the ten, or in the congress that is coming to us, that we will discover the happiness in the connection between us. 

That this happiness will be like the happiness of adults that understand that we're not there yet, that we're far from it, not wanting it according to the nature that the Creator created in us, that way I don't and can't be in connection, not even to be happy from it. Along with that we need still to try to support one another and bring our attitude towards the Creator that even if we don't feel good and not only not good, but that we feel bad so that is in our beastly feeling. In our spiritual understanding, we understand that we are the people that are supposed to ascend and we are right now in a spiritual ascent and we need to discover the gap between the two states, between the state we feel and to this state that we want to rise above.

36. R. Obviously I feel what I am in, I feel what I feel towards the connection with the friends, the state in the group, my personal state but along with that I need to try to be above it as much as we can and by this cause contentment to the Creator. A baby that is before his mother and can't do anything but actually just by being there he gives her a great feeling of pleasure that is how we need to try to be as a spiritual baby in our existence and try to give our feeling of pleasure to the Creator, so as much as we are drawn to it, even if we still can't but from our trying we are doing it only to give contentment to the Creator. And we really are giving great contentment to the Creator, also in our life the greatest pleasure is for a mother while the little baby is just showing a sign towards her that he is happy to see her, there is no greater happiness for her than that.

37. S. (01:34:43) To give to the group it is right to look inside for lucidity or to seek balance above my personal disturbance or do I just have to rely on the group?

R. You need to criticize, but after the criticism you have to trust the group and then there is a gap between what you think and what the group thinks and from this you have happiness that you can subdue yourself and get the opinion, the reason of society.

38. S. (01:35:45) What should one do in order to get joy out of them?

R. A result of what he has, of what he understands of what he decides.

39. S. (01:36:06) He writes that there is joy above in the Shekhina. How do we give joy to the Shekhina?

R. By us incorporating in the Shekhina the connection between us that is not an each and every one of us but is in the connection between us that is called this checking off the divinity and there we enter divinity between us and reveal that the Creator is already in between the Shekhina that is called one received one. In this way we have a mutual happiness, a mutual joy between us and the Creator, this is called the wedding, the happiness of the bride and the groom.

S. Is it we who feels the joy or we want Him to feel it?

R. It is expressed in our feelings, you can't speak about something that isn't in your feelings, it doesn't exist.

40. S. (01:37:40) Where is the indication for the Shekhina?

R. The happiness of the divinity is when the group is prepared to be in mutual guarantee and feels the result of that mutual guarantee that each one is prepared to give the others and that is how they feel the connection between everybody. To the extent of everyone's connection is a result they feel they have a connection to one, that they stabilize him, this is called that you have made me and there is incorporation with the Creator. There aren't really words here but somehow we feel that in such a way and in such a tendency we probably reach it. I am full of confidence that we are on the path and on advanced stages.

41. S. (01:38:59) What is our work and transferring the joy of the Shekhina to the center of the ten?

R. We need to connect all of these things together it can't be a our work only from the center of the ten and the essence of the Shekhina we discover in the center of the ten where we are all coming close to be as one and we want to locate that one force as one, then one receives one. It will come there are feelings that are close to us, really.

42. S. (01:40:01) If you could make a precision attributing to the Creator every event that arouses joy can we use this exercise to envelop the connection between us with joy?

R. We can do it so that every descent becomes an ascent it all depends on the Arvut between us and we can always do this as a game or even more as a dance, those are up and those are down in the dance, when you jump in a circle holding one another, holding hands and you jump, you dance around the center and in such a way we are always in some state that those who are in an ascent and those who are in a descent complete each other and advance. This is how we reach the constant connection between us and with the Creator.

43. S. (01:41:42) Is the absence of joy an indicator?

R. If the connection between you brings you happiness from belonging to spirituality, from walking the spiritual path, so that you can connect to the Creator and scrutinize what is going on, why is it like this?

S. It is not clear what to ask we have to scrutinize it between?

R. From us and with the deficiency and scrutinizing it between you turn to the Creator there is nothing new here.

44. S. Why does it seem like the work feels tasteless. Yes, it's a ten feels like the only salvation?

R. That is correct, they are right feelings that the work is tasteless because I don't feel any benefit from my ego in there from my will to receive, and the will to bestow I don't feel it yet, it is above me it is not even felt in me, it's not in me that will to bestow. That is why the work is specifically getting some kind of taste if I do it in the group with the friends that then I have some kind of connection points between them and I can receive some flavors, some discernments there some that are closer some more further away it is all good, yes you are speaking correct. What we need is to try to uplift above what we feel to what we need to feel and to make efforts between us to be in states that we should feel taste in them in that way we will advance.

45. S. (01:45:41) If among the friends there is rejection when should we annul and when should we cover these contradictions in the work?

R. It is the same thing, I never annul my complaints towards the other and the fact that I annul myself I am canceling my tendency to present my complaints towards with friends, I am presenting them towards myself and that is what I cover was love, then in me those two forces exist, those two levels of hate and love.

46. S. (01:46:38) It is clear that turning to the Creator is the only work we have to do, until we turn to Him we have to scrutinize accurately and clearly with what do we turn to Him or his prayer enough out of the general state of lowliness?

R. They have to waken on their own but yes in the end there should be prayer, and you should have attained what you are asking for, if you didn't get the right response, the right sign then the prayer was not whole yet.

47. S. (01:47:30) It seems in the excerpts were given a choice, ... is there any state where we don't have a choice and the feeling overpowers us, do we always have the choice to come back to joy?

R. This depends on the general attitude in the ten, I can't say that there is always a way to reach happiness. Theoretically yes, practically it depends on the general state in the ten. It could be that a person is going through the worst states but along with that he is full of happiness, how can that be? So what does bad mean? If he feels that this bad, this evil is bringing good like Rabbi Shimon in the descent that felt himself before a huge ascent so why would this descent from Shimon from the market not bring him happiness? The wise one, his eyes are in the head he can see and from that he is already in that state.

48. S. (01:49:12) When we are together and try to unite the two lines where do we feel this inner joy as one?

R. Because in the connection between us we feel the Creator, in the tendency towards Him and even in His revelation, this is why the connection between us is already starting to shine on us, that we are expecting to reveal the upper force, the reason for like the reason for our existence and from that the happiness comes. That from this we can reach contact with Him to bestow contentment to Him like the guest and the host. It is things that you have to attain on the pass, it is too early maybe.

49. S. (01:50:18) How can we turn our joy from spiritual work above the corporeal joy?

R. As much as we appreciate or value spirituality, above corporeality, that depends upon the influence of the environment upon the person as we learn.

50. S. (01:51:06) What you said about connecting and then connecting to the rejection and from there we build the reflected light can you explain that?

R. That is man's work, how can I explain that to him what is reflected light, what is restriction, how it connects before that to everybody, this is something you have to attain and practice in the forms of connection between man and the ten.

Excerpt 8 Reader (01:51:47 - 01:52:44)

51. R. Really what does the Creator enjoy, it is the collective that all of those people who can, who aren't able to, who aren't really close to connect or to do, to have some kind of tendency towards Him, they get this impulse from people who are awakened from the Creator, by us. It turns out that from them He has greater joy also from us doing the work in them, in this entire mass of humanity and also from them responding correctly and connecting between them and the Creator, the connection between them can correct all of humanity to be in happiness from connection, that is a lot easier than what we are doing. The main thing is our work, we're not like the previous Kabbalists who received an awakening from above and got relatively quickly to reaching attainment. We're not like the masses that we see on the street that just wander around not knowing what to do with themselves, we are between these and those, this is called not like them and not like them, we can't enjoy this or that. 

Also our advancement depends on as much as we will advance in our work towards the general public, towards humanity. This is why we need to truly think how, what way is quickest we can correct ourselves so through connecting with the whole human vessel of humanity to bring contentment to the Creator. If it is not as difficult as it seems to us right now, that they are not able for this, obviously they won't be able, but we need through us to pass the reforming light to them and then they will awaken and very quick because they don't have coarseness except for small corporeal coarseness and then very quick like children, go could children they all connect between them and the Creator will specifically get joy in them. By us bringing them our exertion and the method of correction it will all happen in them even though they themselves won't know why they're doing this. They are the matter of creation, the body, we are the head, Rosh, that is why our work in aiming them will be revealed as not the great work but the main thing we'll be that we will organize Rosh, the head from ourselves.

52. S. (01:56:08) Can we relate to humanity as a kind of rejection? That indifference is a kind of rejection?

R. Yes, rejection is indifference, it's a lack of desire, there is indifference and then there is rejection that is the negative form of the desire, but indifference is already the deficiency of the correct desire.

53. S. (01:57:12) You say we have to try to connect even though we don't want to connect so I do feel that I want to connect but I don't understand my ego or spirituality so what is it that keeps me going for spirituality and wanting to connect?

R. We today started the lesson that the topic of happiness and joy of our gathering should be upon all the recognition of evil in us and between us and I need to open my eyes and to see things in a realistic way. Meaning I don't like anybody, I don't love anybody, I don't want to, I'm not connected to anybody, I don't want to be connected to anybody and so on. On the other hand I must reach a state where I am connected to everybody and I am working for everybody, why? Because gradually I discover I want to be on a more exalted degree than a beast, then my ego itself pushes me to come close to the Creator, to participate with Him to use His force. We have no choice because we can't really run as it says you live against your will, you are born against your will and you die against your will, nobody asks a person about that. 

Also a person isn't asked whether he wants to advance to the purpose of creation or not, everybody will need to love each other and connect with each other, why? Because we are a sensitive matter, a feeling matter, we are in a state that feels good or bad and by this the Creator conducts us in a very simple way. Each and every one of us is afraid of pain, each one of us has drawn to pleasure in all kinds of ways. This is why we need to understand that it still depends upon as much as we will be able to hear. There are people that until they don't get enough blows they can't hear and there are some that would just a little bit of blows are enough and they're willing to hear. There are some that are willing to hear from listening, some can only hear after they get blows. It all depends on the level of ego in a person, on his development onto the part of Adam HaRishon that he belongs to. 

That is why we need to understand our state, it is worth it for us as quickly as we can to know what the Creator wants from us and if we will listen, it will be better that it is in a simple egoistic way. Until from this that we will discover a higher purpose, that we will be free in the forces of Bina, from our ego, from these calculations and we can start calculating on an independent, in our point of creation that we really by this become free. Also for ourselves but now we are still not understanding what it means but the main thing is to attain the point, this is called faith above reason. 

Where I can do actions that are truly not dependent on my egoistic calculation, that they are not depending on my current nature that I rise above this world. That I start being free from anything, that I don't have these calculations that I feel that the ego is inside or even if I feel that the ego isn't inside but that I am truly above all of these calculations, above all of the calculations. It all depends on our advancements because we need to perform actions as much as the Kabbalists recommend and push us to do them because in the end this way we get wise two doing actions repetitively, from your deeds we will know you. From us doing it even if we don't want it and don't understand it and don't feel that it's worth it, that the necessity in it we still need to reach a state that we have no choice that we will do and we will hear.

54. S. (02:03:36) When does the feeling come that you are using the friends, the ten for your own advancement, meaning that you are using them in order to be in the lesson, to be in the path and not more than that. Moreover you discover that you are using your egoistic qualities for self-realization or for other expressions of dominance and control. How do you work with that and is that some personal correction for me or for the whole ten?

R. You are asking nicely, in the beginning of the work it could be a few years that we relate to the ten and to the environment and the teacher, to the method that we are going to succeed and gain something and that is in my mind that that is what I am aimed towards. Then a few good years later that it could be 10 or 20 years, I start to feel that I want something else that comes from the light that reforms, I start getting new feelings and emotions. From this I awaken two different calculations between me and society between me and the Creator, what am I for, who am I for and this is how it all changes. But it takes time for the upper light to bestow gradually because we can't, we are not ready for faster development, it is not a problem that the Creator can't advance as we can't stand this advancement because we have to have calculations that are completely against our mind and feelings. I have to convince myself to love the friends, to love the Creator, to feel the way that I can get close to them. It takes time, what can you do but in the beginning all of the states that you discover which can help you to be in the ten, in the group, in the lessons, use them and be between the friends and in the ten, in the group, because by this you get the light that reforms and it will do the work.

55. S. (02:06:58) How can we draw enjoyment, spiritual enjoyment from deficiencies and disconnections that the Creator sends us, how do we use that to draw us further to connection?

R. We need to talk about it with the friends and learn how we do this, that each one should learn from the others all of us together, that we will support each other but that our whole progress is only through rejections and falls. A righteous falls a thousand times and rises, that is the way it works.

56. R.  WSQ: (02:08:10) What can we understand as a summary of the lesson and what is the question that is really still in the ten that we should ask about? What is the conclusion of the lesson and how much can we still progress through it?

57. S. (02:20:25) What should you do like what we see in Shamati that the Creator is as pepper or bitter and if there's two bitter that there's a rejection and it can't be dealt with?

R. You have to awaken the connection that the purpose of creation is mainly connection and you can't go against it, if you go against it then it is war and you drop farther from the right forces and the right goal. You have to immediately see in front of you what is the goal, how you advance towards it. It comes to us from above you can't go against it, go by all means but it is the path of suffering.

58. S. (02:21:40) What is waiting for us in the future, what should every ten attain?

R. We have to come to a state and attain where both forces of connection and rejection are revealed one on top of the other and that we advance with those two forces together, constantly with the two forces. Not like children who are either in bad or good, crying or happy, we are with both and that is how we advance and what we call the middle line between them. So the wise, his eyes are in his head and he knows how he advances from within his ego, from being connected to the Creator, from his ego, from getting forces of rejection, overcoming in order for him to resemble the Creator with all of the forces that the Creator put in him, with all of those forces, only if he positions them correctly will he resemble the Creator.

59. S. (02:22:58) Will this be born from experience or should we speed it up somehow?

R. What you heard from me try to do it and then you will succeed.

60. S. (02:23:10) True spiritual happiness that comes with a rejection, how can you pass it between the friends in the ten because there are friends that are up or down, so how do we pass it between us?

R. When we are connected among the tens ups and downs, all kinds of states and fluctuations we take this formula that we cover all of the crimes with love, we need both but the main thing is the connection between them that it should be directed toward the Creator, because He is the source. Then everything falls into place and you will see how when you begin to position yourself this way that you will immediately get a connection with the Creator with correct and healthy progress.

61. S. (02:24:18) How do we determine between questions we should ask the teacher and ones that we should determine between the ten?

R. First scrutinize the questions between yourselves and the ten and then ask Rav.

62. S. (02:24:48) The matter that we build the middle line from is made from actions or intentions?

R. The middle line is not made of anything but only from the right merging between all of the parts of creation, between us and the Creator, from this the middle line is built.

63. S. (02:25:34) How to balance the good and bad in you so the evil inclination won't burst out of you?

R. We have to attribute everything to the Creator, the bad, the good, how we accept the good in the bad not disconnecting from it. It establishes us giving us these feelings and those feelings so that out of all of these different states we will be connected and directed toward Him.

64. S. (02:26:27) He said the happiness of those Shekhina is because the group is in mutual guarantee, is the happiness also in Arvut?

R. Yes, there can't be real joy without feeling the mutual responsibility, the connection between us and in this way we advance towards the goal.

S. The problem is that sometimes we feel on the way to mutual guarantee there is frustration and not always happiness.

R. It depends on the intensity of the work between you guys, if you work among yourselves you will go through all of those states and you will come to the middle road.

65. S. (02:27:31) Questions appear during the lesson, if we will discuss it during the lesson, then we won’t hear the lesson. 

R. Write down all the questions you have, send them to the ten after the lesson and speak among yourselves. Of course during the lesson you first of all have to hear what the teacher is saying.

66. S. (02:28:12) How can we help a friend that has .… ?

R. You have to act before the friends as if you overcome everything and you have no problem with it. It is easy for you, that is how you have to present yourself for the friends to get a good response, a good mood, hope.

67. S. (02:28:49) What you said about true happiness that we in our efforts have to hold on to the middle line as much as you can combine the two when I have to hold onto the middle line how to integrate?

R. When you attribute all of the forces, all the actions, all the incidents, everything that happens when you attribute it all to the Creator that should give you joy. Not your own calculations, that are incidental, egoistic, little ones. When you attribute it all, to the Creator because it all comes in order to develop you, to turn you into someone eternal, complete, one who can connect to everyone and pass to everyone through him the upper light.

68. S. (02:30:07) We hear the right advice from you, it is all in the head, how to realize and implement this knowledge?

R. You will have to take direction implementation by habit accustoming yourself to exist in this way. Let’s say today you want to establish a connection between you to the level of feeling the complete connection without forgetting all the negative things which happen and exit but on top of them to be in connection, try to see each, to see each one is negating everyone, condemning everyone and connecting to everyone in this way you will discover the real relation, like parents toward their children. You can't help it, you invested a lot of time and efforts in the kids and they grew up the way that they did. Now that even though you see in each of them with your rationalization, that you see negative things with them. At the same time you feel toward them love, connection. You can't help it. So you have two things, one is you see what is negative about them, what is not good and on the other hand there is your love for them despite it, try to connect to the friends in this way. The negative in them comes from the Creator, your love comes from you with the help of the Creator. So what is the difference then? The difference is that all of the negative things the Creator reveals through them and all of the positive things you want them to come also from the Creator to them and then on top of these friends you discover the right connection with the Creator. There is no other way to build it but only through a third party which is the society.

69. S. (02:33:21) Tell me the correct way to use the ego to help the ten advance?

R. No, we should always locate the ego and go above it, love will cover all crimes but it is not like we want to reveal the ego by ourselves and increase it. You can't do that, the Creator does it, your work is to cover it with love but not to hide the ego.

R. Whatever ego is revealed you talk about it together and reveal the ego above the forms of rejection that appear between you and on top of it you build forms of connection with both existing together.

R. That we want to discover the truth and through it on those two lines, left and right to advance to the source which is the Creator, the middle line.

S. Is that “we will do and we will hear”?

R. No, I don't want to say more than that it will cause confusion. Still can't connect those two things.

R.  The ten should be ready for the revelation of the good and the bad by revealing both we reveal and locate the Creator as the middle line.

72. S. (02:36:52) How can you discern between psychological exercises in tens, to exercises of connection in the ten?

R. When we attribute to the Creator everything, right and left especially the middle line then it becomes a spiritual exercise not a psychological, corporeal or worldly.
