Part 1: Baal HaSulam Shamati 37. "An Article for Purim"

Reader: (00:01) We are reading in the writings of Baal HaSulam the articles of Shamati, article number 37, an article for Purim. You can find the study material on Sviva Tova and the Arvut system.

Baal HaSulam Shamati 37, "An Article for Purim"

Reading: (00:34) “We must understand several precisions in the Megillah…”

M. Laitman: (39:55) Well, this was the article.

Student: (40:01) He says about Megilat Esther that the whole disclosure is to be able to choose concealment. What is he revealing, what should we conceal?

M. Laitman: We need to conceal only our will to receive and try to constantly be in order to bestow.

Student: What does it mean that we conceal? When the desire awakens should we ignore it or is it about relating to the friends? What exactly is revealed and what are we concealing?

M. Laitman: Again, we conceal the will to receive and then we can use and show that we prefer to use the light of Hassadim, bestowal, and then by that we reach the discernment of Mordechai meaning that he only wants to use Hassadim. When we reach using only Hassadim then they can connect all of the vessels and what happened in Purim is that then there was a miracle, so the light of Hassadim filled all the vessels so that later on they were able to draw the light of Hochma.

Student: (42:33) Is it correct to understand that Mordechai is GAR of Bina?

M. Laitman: What?

Student: Is Mordechai GAR of Bina, can we relate to it this way? Through Haman and through Esther he has connection with the people? In the end the people will come to you to be similar, to a similarity?

M. Laitman: And what then?

Student: The question is, is it correct to understand this way?

M. Laitman: I do not know.

Student: There it's GAR of Bina, no?

M. Laitman: No, it is not written.

Student: (43:19) When the light of Hochma shines, what makes the Jews choose Hassadim, specifically?

M. Laitman: When the light of Hochma shines then it is clear that there is nothing that can be done. Nothing can be done except to choose Hassadim, otherwise what? They will enter a state where they receive in order to receive.

Student: Why does he say that Jews will be able to choose Hassadim voluntarily? There's a calculation of the will to receive here?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: There's no choice here?

M. Laitman: Why is there no choice? The fact that now, the ability to use the light of Hassadim is revealed it means that there is actually choice.

Student: Why should they prefer the light of Hassadim?

M. Laitman: Because they understand that they cannot use the light of Hochma because this is Haman.

Student: Okay another question: He writes the whole disclosure is in order to give room to choose concealment?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What does it mean to choose concealment?

M. Laitman: That actually they prefer to be on the side of the concealment, meaning that it is not important for them to receive or not. This is not their purpose, the purpose is to be in adhesion. It is possible to be in adhesion only following Mordechai's way.

Student: What does it mean to choose concealment, how does a person conceal himself?

M. Laitman: They do not reveal the Hochma, they only choose Hassadim.

Student: Another question: What does it mean to incorporate the left in the right?

M. Laitman: Again, it is that they prefer the Hassadim over the Hochma. This is Mordechai's way. Bit by bit it will become more clear.

Student: (46:30) When we read this, I felt like this is the way that you are leading us, that you are leading the world today. The way of Mordechai, that really, no one understands it. Some feel that it's the truth and some totally hate it saying, why are you even dealing with these things, why are you engaging in it? How do we make all the peoples reveal it?

M. Laitman: To all of the peoples, that is already another degree but we have to bring ourselves, everyone to the beginning of the question. That we must discover the greatness of Hassadim, of Purim and from that, the other vessels become revealed, the vessels of Hochma.

Student: Again, the feeling is that it's not about Purim. It's the way, Mordechai's way, who says constantly stick to the right, stick to Hassadim and if Hochma comes, it's only to strengthen Hassadim, that's the way we learn. We're trying to implement it and this is what we learn.

M. Laitman: That is right.

Student: And yet the city of Shoshan is perplexed, no one understands Mordechai?

M. Laitman: Of course, who can understand it, if you have the possibility to gain the light of Hochma but you settle for Hassadim? So?

Student: Will it always be misunderstood and we just have to accept that it will never be understood?

M. Laitman: I think that it will come in the right way. It does not seem to me that the world will continue in the same way. Nevertheless, it does need a solution and following their way they will not discover a solution. What is going to happen? It is just like here, and in general, with things that pertain to spirituality, a spiritual solution, a spiritual calculation, it is revealed suddenly, where they were not hoping for it, they were not waiting for it but rather in haste.

Student: (49:48) On Purim, if I understand correctly, there is a lot of light of Hochma, so much it’s dangerous for the Jews that they won't be able to handle this light.

M. Laitman: That is correct.

Student: The light of Hassadim is actually the method of Jews because Hassadim is love for the Creator, which distinguishes from an order to receive for themselves. The screen and the reflected light is what they give to the Creator and it has to always be more than the will to receive for themselves. Meaning I don't get pleasure from the Creator but I, with the reflected light, I give love to the Creator and this should always be more and more over all the light of Hochma so that only the Creator is the place of revealing love from the Jews to Him.

M. Laitman: Yes, that is correct.

Student: (51:09) How do you think the revelation of Hochma to all the peoples, how is it expressed in our world when Hochma is revealed?

M. Laitman: It is a miracle, it is a miracle.

Student: What happens to people in the world when the light of Hochma is revealed?

M. Laitman: It is a revolution in the awareness of reality for all the people in the world.

Student: We're going through a period in the world where it's also like a revolution, something is turning upside down. Is this revealing of Hochma?

M. Laitman: No, what we are revealing in the world now, it is only, again, through the way of recognition of evil. When we see that no plans that people make can be realized, this is the recognition of evil in such a way. But it is still unrelated to the solution, but only to the recognition of evil. That in whatever way we will choose to follow, if it will be through the development of our ego, that it is pushing us to develop we will always end up with destruction.

Student: People don't understand this, they follow the ego, just like they followed Haman here.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: They don't understand why we need to stop this natural tendency that is bursting out in humanity. This is why I asked if there are similarities here.

M. Laitman: I do not know. Actually, on the one hand it is very clear that whatever is happening it is all only in order for us to understand that we cannot continue in the way that the world is behaving in America and also in China. If we are talking about the external world and also in Israel where we see how much we truly have reached a wall, there is no way where we can continue in any way, in any form. But still, the solution is not so clear, it is not so clear to everyone.

Student: Yes it's the feeling of being perplexed, it's not clear what to do with this eruption. Another question: It is written that Haman cannot agree with Mordechai sitting at the king's gate. He says, although I have everything, I'm not willing to accept the fact that such a way exists. What is this phenomenon, why is it so difficult for Haman to accept that there are Jews, which is a different way, what's the problem with it?

M. Laitman: It is a different way, it is a different ideology.

Student: Why does he have to enslave the Jew as well, why can't both exist? I can be happy, receive Hochma without getting the Jews involved. Why does he have to draw them in?

M. Laitman: But a part of the general will to receive, a very special part, the Jews are a very special part, disagrees with him. It stands on its own and it is like a wound that you cannot continue with it.

Student: Why does Mordechai prevent Haman from conveying the lights to all the world? Why can't he have the feast the way he wants it, why is Mordechai bothering him?

M. Laitman: Because a part of the nation, the people do not bow down, they disagree, they go against and everyone is looking even though it is a very small percentage of the entire population from all of Babylon, from all of the vessels but look at what is happening, the king must have everyone bow down before him.

Student: In other words, Haman needs the whole desire to accept?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Because it's surprising that he says if this little part doesn't agree with me, this whole thing, everything I have is just worthless.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: It's an interesting feeling.

M. Laitman: It is a special feeling, yes.

Student: (57:25) After this whole story there's this excerpt that says, only by the awakening of the upper one can they remain alive, meaning adhesion, called life, but not by the awakening of the lower one. Also, Esther is Malchut which means Hochma but only by the awakening of the upper one. Meaning Hochma is, it comes only from the upper one?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: We also need Hochma, the combination between eating and drinking, there has to be some proportion between them?

M. Laitman: Even to get Hassadim, you need Hochma.

Student: That comes only from the upper one, it's not a choice?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: (58:23) It says here that Haman, the king promoted Haman so that Mordechai would be able to receive because, otherwise, he wouldn't want anything, he wouldn't receive anything. It's as if they choose the way of faith above reason and there also has to be reason there in order to choose faith above reason. Why is there a need to kill Haman? He should remain there and we should choose a different way. If he's killed, what's left afterwards, only faith without reason?

M. Laitman: No, the fact that they kill Haman and his sons is a matter of the method that we cannot follow this and use this.

Student: That's clear but it turns out that every generation a bigger harm-doer should come to Israel so that the people of Israel would be pressed and be afraid and choose its way, which is faith above reason otherwise it sinks and dissolves. Haman doesn't die, he'll only, a bigger one will come. It's also a way that suffering is necessary in order to rise, if there's no suffering, it's impossible to advance?

M. Laitman: That is correct.

Student: That's why I'm wondering why there was a need to kind of finish Haman. It doesn't really end, what's the benefit in killing him?

M. Laitman: This force, meaning nature in itself, does not disappear, no forces disappear. Rather for the time being its death should be organized and it is a symbolic matter. The fact that he is hanged, this is how it needs to be between us.

Student: Mordechai's existence, the fact that there are Jews, people who go with faith above reason in the world, it makes everyone suffer because they can't enjoy from their reception directly. Meaning the fact that the people know that there is knowledge, that there is the wisdom of Kabbalah makes everyone who engages in reception, in whatever way, it makes them feel incomplete because they know there's something that's more real than theirs?

M. Laitman: It is always like that. All the nations in the world have some thought that the Jews have something that is more than we have.

Student: Yes because it's as if the Creator created the world so there would be worried, perpetually, a state of hatred for the truth. Something, as if, someone comes to eat and someone sits next to you, some righteous guy who says, I'm not eating and it makes you not enjoy the food, so we are guaranteed to?

M. Laitman: Fine, okay. Actually, it is a clear matter, right?

Student: (01:02:04) To make vessels greater, means to enlarge the desire, to enlarge the intention to receive? He says here that the Creator promotes Haman, or makes him greater. What does it mean to make the vessels greater or make the intention to receive greater?

M. Laitman: Desire.

Student: Not intention. If Haman is the intention to receive, why does he make him greater, why does he promote him? He should make the vessels greater, the general desire?

M. Laitman: So according to the intention, we use the vessels.

Student: When they say to enlarge the desire, it means to enlarge the intention?

M. Laitman: Of course it is a matter of intention but if we want to make the vessel bigger you can only do that through the intention.

Student: We enlarge the vessel only through the intention?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Then indeed this whole matter of killing the intention, meaning that the forces always remain so what, the intention in order to receive it also remains?

M. Laitman: The intention to receive remains throughout the corrections until the end of correction, it doesn't disappear. In each degree, when you want to get rid of it, it doesn't disappear from the world, but afterwards comes the angel of death, the Creator, He slaughters it. In short, it does not disappear. As we speak about killing, slaughtering it doesn't happen, it's only for the time being.

Student: It's just that we don't use it, to kill means that we don't use it for now?

M. Laitman: Yes. No forces disappear that you can kill them, slaughter them, burn them, it doesn't disappear.

Student: This means that it turns out that until the end of correction a person always wants to receive in order to receive, he has this intention to receive in him?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: It's just that it's balanced by bestowal, but he feels it that he wants to receive for himself?

M. Laitman: He has it, yes.

Student: Until the end of correction and afterwards it's not so clear?

M. Laitman: After that, we don't know, right.

Student: And it says here that why does he promote Haman? Because Mordechai would settle for the degrees he has, he wouldn't want to climb to higher degrees?

M. Laitman: Well Mordechai is in Hassadim.

Question (Women PT10): (01:05:14) It says here that only through the awakening of the Upper one can they remain alive. The question is how do we awaken the Upper one correctly so that we stay alive?

M. Laitman: We need, first of all, to come to a state where we are adjacent, attached to the Creator. It is by canceling our will to receive and as much as possible being in the intention to bestow, then we disappear from the Upper force and in this way we are saved.

Student: It says that Esther invited Haman to the feast, meaning she drew the left line as Mordechai had commanded her, so who draws the left line, the Creator or the person?

M. Laitman: A person cannot perform such operations of lines, he always does it by turning to the Creator.

Student: How to properly draw the left line so that we don't fall under its power?

M. Laitman: It is on condition that we have the right line, that we have Hassadim and we are in them, and we're certain in them that we are safe in them, and then we perform actions in order to awaken the left. So that we need the left only for the purpose of the right.

Question (PT 31): (01:07:13) It is written that specifically that when he does not need this thing, meaning that he can place the screen over it then he is permitted to receive. What is that state, why do I receive something when I no longer have the need for it?

M. Laitman: You personally may not have the need but you have to go forward, you have to correct more and more vessels, and this is what you have in order to bestow.

Question (Women PT 23): (01:07:41) What does it mean when Esther says in the scroll, if I perish, I perish. Can you explain it?

M. Laitman: Who can answer that? No? Yes?

Reader: I can read this excerpt if you want.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Reader: (01:08:17) She said about this, if I perish, I perish. In other words, if I go, I'm lost because I might come to separation as when the lower one awakens it induces separation from the life of lives and if I do not go then relief and deliverance will arise to the Jews from another place meaning in another way, they would completely revoke the left line as Mordechai has told her.

M. Laitman: That’s it.

Student: (01:08:55) What is the matter of the selling, as it says for I, and my people have been sold?

M. Laitman: No answer? You want to scrutinize matters in vessels of reception or in vessels of bestowal, what is it on Purim? On Purim we work with vessels of reception and on Hanukkah we work with vessels of bestowal, therefore this is how it's written, that it's a kind of selling.

Student: (01:10:06) It's written that a miracle occurred through their fasting and crying out, that's how they drew the lights of Hassadim and then they were able to receive the light of Hochma?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Why before the end of correction there's no such thing? Before the end of correction we cannot receive the light of Hochma by drawing the light of Hassadim?

M. Laitman: They come to a state where, no, there it talks about complete Hochma, GAR of Hochma, of course it can't be, they do all the preparations and then a great light comes from above. What happens is a miracle, the appearance of a new force that enables them to receive in order to bestow all of the upper light. This is why they receive.

Question (Africa 1): (01:11:03) This article elaborates the method that was given to us during Purim. How can we operate and use it in order to hasten the time and prevent additional blows to the world?

M. Laitman: Purim is when there is already light of Hassadim on all the vessels and the light of Hochma can be revealed, then a miracle happens. Where there is a correction of the vessel with Hassadim and then the possibility to receive all the light of Hochma is revealed. This is why Purim is a miracle, a miracle. There was never such a great light in the vessels and they didn't think it was possible but here you have a correction of all the vessels in order to bestow and then comes all the light of Hochma to be revealed.

Question (Women Moscow 8): (01:12:35) Should we distinguish between vessels of bestowal and reception in Purim? Should we distinguish between the vessels of bestowal and reception in Purim?

M. Laitman: Oh, that's a different question. Purim meaning until he does not know, it's impossible to distinguish and the correction is so final, so complete that there is no difference between all the vessels you can receive in order to bestow in vessels of bestowal and vessels of reception. Meaning, if you have the power of bestowal, a big total power of bestowal, then to you vessels of reception and vessels of bestowal are the same, you use both kinds in order to bestow.

Question (Women PT 23): (01:13:47) Can you explain what it means when it says, the awakening of the lower one causes separation from the Life of Lives?

M. Laitman: The awakening of the lower one causes separation from the Life of Lives only on condition that the lower one awakens in order to receive and then there's separation between him and the Creator.

Question (Women Moscow 8): (01:14:18) By which actions do they receive all of the upper light in Purim, what are these actions?

M. Laitman: They have scrutinies, after the scrutinies they have corrections in prayer or in themselves and after that when they, how should I put it, when they realize the corrections in VAK, they have an awakening in GAR. In general on Purim, it's written in several places that GAR and VAK seemingly come as one.

Question (Petir 1): (01:15:31) When the people of Shushan are perplexed, they have to come out from the state of the greatness of the Creator and send prayers. What's the advice now?

M. Laitman: The city of Shushan is perplexed, meaning we need to enter to examine the vessels and to see whether there are vessels you're using and then, it's prohibited to use them and then the correction will come.

Student: (01:16:17) He writes here that the revelation is to give place for concealment, before that he gives the difference between choosing faith and Hochma, you have to choose faith over Hochma?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Hochma we receive from above, faith you have to bring from below, our power?

M. Laitman: Let's say.

Student: Well that's exactly the question, what's man's choice based on?

M. Laitman: We always receive from above, the question is only to what we're drawn.

Student: I understand and I accept what Baal HaSulam says and Rabbash writes. How do I now choose faith correctly?

M. Laitman: You want for the force to come from above and bestow upon you so that you will have the force to be above your will to receive.

Student: Here it's felt somehow that I'm receiving the light of Hochma, how am I now working in faith?

M. Laitman: I didn't understand.

Student: What you just said, it was felt as if I'm receiving it in some vessel and I receive something for the Creator to give me faith from above and I receive it in a vessel which is not faith. Suddenly I have some knowledge, some certain perception of a state. How do I continue to work with faith above it?

M. Laitman: I don't quite understand.

Student: I have to ask the Creator to give me the power to work with faith?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Now, I manage to do certain actions and be in faith that the Creator is doing everything and He's arranging everything, so I have a certain degree of Hochma. What is the work in faith, let's ask this?

M. Laitman: The work in faith is that you have the desire to receive that you're using in order to bestow.

Student: That power I'm asking from the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Now this power that I asked of the Creator and I somehow got it and I managed to do a certain action, it doesn't enter into my Hochma? It's not the power of the force of Hochma that enters me?

M. Laitman: No, vessels of bestowal are added.

Student: (01:19:18) Do we need to prepare deficiency for Purim or once we cover the desire of the intention of bestowal and Purim comes on its own?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: What does it mean to prepare a deficiency for Purim?

M. Laitman: Purim is to receive in order to bestow, Hanukkah is to bestow in order to bestow.

Student: Can I imagine for every desire what it means not to receive for myself and ask for the intention that whatever I do will be for the sake of the Creator through the group? What you're saying is Hassadim, it's not touching Purim yet?

M. Laitman: Do you understand what he's asking? Repeat it please.

Student: Let's say for example I go to the meal to eat. Now I can feel that the pleasure is filling me in order to receive. I refuse to receive this pleasure for myself and I now want to rise to a state where I'm connected with the group, the friends and I'm receiving this power to do actions through the group for the sake of the Creator. I don't think it's getting to the degree of Purim, my desire to eat is not participating?

M. Laitman: Meaning you came only to share with the friends.

Student: I have to rise to that point, otherwise I will receive to myself. I'm willing to be in the direction of spirituality, bestowal, I'm using the power of the group?

M. Laitman: So do you have a desire to receive or not?

Student: It's there, but it's not part of my action, it's only blocked, restricted.

M. Laitman: I don't understand you.

Student: I'm trying to understand what is Purim?

M. Laitman: Purim is called that you come after all the corrections, and from having no limitations, where you can receive both the light of Hassadim and the light of Hochma in order to bestow, your entire vessel opens up.

Student: When we feel that we are receiving light from the Creator, how do I know if it's the light of Hassadim or the light of Hochma?

M. Laitman: The light of Hassadim expands in the vessels according to the condition that a receiver does not receive and the light of Hochma expands in vessels where the creature does receive, it's a very big difference.

Student: I get it. What is Purim, is that a correction? What is Purim?

M. Laitman: Purim is the final correction of the vessels.

Student: Can I prepare a deficiency for it or does it come on its own? How do we prepare for it or it just comes and that's it?

M. Laitman: Purim is considered that we want to work with the vessels of reception, of course in order to bestow but to fill them completely because these vessels are already capable of being filled and by this there will be pleasure to the Creator.

Student: What is this desire to be filled in vessels of reception, what does that mean?

M. Laitman:  What does that mean? Do you have little children?

Student: Yes.

M. Laitman: Wonderful. Have you ever seen how your wife fills a little child and how satisfied she is by him filling himself completely, let's say from the bottle or something.

Student: Yes.

M. Laitman: Well, to the extent in which, to what extent she has pleasure from that. You're like that baby and you want to be like that next to the Creator, for Him to give you all that He wants and you will receive all of that with joy and with an appetite and then you say, thank you very much to one another. Also the mother says thank you very much to her child, she truly says to him like because he gave her great pleasure by that and also him from receiving from his mother, that's the Purim.

Student: (01:24:56) I want to understand the essence of the miracle with Esther because the problem is, as it's understood at least to me, is that she knew she can't see the king because you cannot draw the light of Hochma, on the one hand, on the other hand, if she doesn't go to the king then Haman takes over and destroys the people and the method of the Jews, so nevertheless she did go to the king.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How can you go and ask for the light of Hochma, based on what did she understand that you can ask for the light of Hochma?

M. Laitman: From her vessels. How is it possible to receive in order to bestow and to be in concealment as a result of this great light being revealed in all of the vessels, in all the worlds. That we still need to continue and learn, I see that we don't yet have.

Student: (01:26:19) Can you please explain, they started to drink, then they were drawn after the drinking, meaning they were wrapped up in the drinking, they required the drinking, otherwise they wouldn't be able to go forward, that's called in coercion. Can you explain what it means that they were coerced? What is that, what is that line they're crossing with the drinking?

M. Laitman: Because they received in order to receive the light of Hochma let’s say and then they cannot return from that to in order to bestow.

Student: It's like there's this border, that if you receive you're not even aware of it, then you enter into confusion. Is there a possibility in our state to even feel this boundary? Because otherwise you're not in the game, you're like coerced?

M. Laitman: We will be in the lights and then we will learn, I hope that we will have such an opportunity soon.

Student: (01:27:44) Here too he says that the salvation will come to the Jews from elsewhere if Esther will not go to the king, meaning it will not work with the method of Mordechai. Help will come from a different place. Who is he referring to here, can we understand that?

M. Laitman: It could be that through very huge blows of Haman.

Student: It says it cancels the left line?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Meaning through suffering?

M. Laitman: I don't think it's realistic. That's what he says but it's not realistic.

Student: It’s not clear what is Mordechai's counsel to Esther, what is he telling her to do, what's his plan?

M. Laitman: His plan is to discover how it's possible to reveal the vessels of Haman and to nevertheless do so through the intentions of Mordechai.

Student: How?

M. Laitman: Well that's what eventually happens, that we need to destroy Haman and all his sons and then it will be possible to draw the light to corrections.

Student: How do they do it? They invite Haman for a feast, for a banquet?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Now what? What's the discussion between Esther and Haman, how does she cancel him, how can you cancel the quality of Haman?

M. Laitman: Esther reveals to the king the extent in which Haman is good seemingly with the intention, but when we come to the implementation he is using it in order to receive in bad, in the evil.

Student: What does it mean that she reveals to the king?

M. Laitman: It is clear from Esther's explanation that Haman wanted to use her in order to receive and that is what the king could not reject. It is clear that the king knows everything.

Student: It is clear that the king knows everything, so Esther has to scrutinize inside of her what Haman is about to do. She has to understand the intention from A to Z and then it's like overcoming this, taking over this quality?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Meaning she had the wisdom to understand the path of Haman, she was able then to overcome him?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: (01:32:37) Haman is the Klipa against Esther?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Then when she says when I'm lost, I'm lost. I mean I don't know if I'm going to have a screen for Him. I'm going to the king, I don't know if I have the screen for it, I might fall. That's what she's saying, right?

M. Laitman: Let's say.

Student: That's a miracle, that she receives an illumination and with it she receives the power of the screen?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: (01:33:13) I feel very confused, I feel as if we're discussing quantum physics and I don't know the algebra of one plus one. We're not there. Neither Haman nor Mordechai, end of correction as far as I understand. We haven't taken the first step in spirituality and we're discussing the last step in spirituality. How do these two connect?

M. Laitman: It's all connected in that same system.

Student: No, it's clear, but in our work it's like aspiring to get to know a princess. I have no grasp of it. I understand that if we're talking about my current stage plus one I can understand. Maybe I won't know what to do, but I will understand?

M. Laitman: Then don't involve yourself in what we're talking about. What can I say? We have no choice. We read the article and to the extent in which we can talk about it, we do. What can we do? I am not stopping anything. As much as you want to continue, please we'll continue.

Question: (01:34:47) It says that Haman thought that the lights that were revealed through the corrections of Mordechai, everything will go to him, to his possessions. How can there be corrections here if the intention is still in order to receive? Is there a path of corrections somewhere?

M. Laitman: No, the way you're saying it then no.

Student: When do we begin the corrections?

M. Laitman: Corrections start the moment we start to relate to this system as a system that connects us together and we need within us to realize this article.

Student: After receiving the light of Hochma, there begins the true corrections or before that already?

M. Laitman: Before that, how can you receive the light of Hochma without the previous correction, the preceding correction. Do you understand?

Question: (Beer Sheva) (01:36:13) I'm going to read this paragraph. There are many questions here. I'll try to focus, and I'll be happy to get some answers, all of us.

Page 556: Third Paragraph.

This is the meaning of when Mordechai told Esther to go to the king and ask for Haman, and she said, all the king's servants. And she said, I was not called to come to the king for 30 days. Meaning as we know, that you should not extend the quality of Bina down below. And it means that it is forbidden to extend the quality of GAR of Hochma below and one who does extend GAR, which are three Sefirot each comprising ten, which are thirty, is sentenced to death, because the left line causes separation from the Life of Lives. Except he to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter, that he may live. Gold means Hochma and GAR, meaning,

What is the golden scepter of the king and then a specific question about that state?

M. Laitman: To whomever the Creator touches or gives this golden staff or throne is giving him permission to ask and scrutinize what he's lacking in order to correct himself.

Student: The scepter of the King, is that the reforming light?

M. Laitman: The king's staff is the upper force that he gives to a person, he gives a person the ability to begin to work with the upper light.

Student: You like examples. You say, give us an example. This state described here. Leaders of the world say, live and enjoy because tomorrow you'll die. Draw the light of Hochma, we don't care about it. Our work, meaning, is to draw the light of Hassadim. According to my understanding, people without the golden scepter, we have nothing to offer them, they don't want it, they want the light of Hochma. How do I give to a farmer who has a basket full of gold and diamonds that he just needs to work his land, he doesn't need it. How do I sell him that? That's the question not the example.

M. Laitman: We need to talk nevertheless about the process humanity has to go through to its end of correction, otherwise the troubles will not disappear from the world. That's why we come and open up and talk about the fact that our life is not such a good life, that all of earth is entering some mix-up and not a good state and that's why we want its correction. Correction through connection. Connection through prayer to the Creator. That's what we need to reach, that’s all and what precisely happens there in Purim, we will get there and we will see that it will be materialized in us and then it will be clearer. It's just like the difference between the expert and a person who's not in it. It's clear to the expert why he's using it, what tools, what lights, what vessels, what screens and what actions. The common person doesn't understand anything in that so for him it's all, it all appears very strange. We will live and see.

Student: We know the system. If I wouldn't justify the Creator because He's The Good Who Does Good and He's the only one who's working, I think it's a bug in the system. that a AHP or ascent is, the ascending AHP is creating some malfunction here. It doesn't adapt itself to the lower one so we'll be able to draw Hassadim and cover the Hochma.

M. Laitman: All those bugs are from the sin of the Tree of Knowledge. It all began from that bug. So what do you want?

Student: Thank you, and be well.

M. Laitman: All the best.

Student: May we be rewarded with doing this holy work.

M. Laitman: We all do it together.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (01:42:46) I heard that the foundation of the study should be faith. But we're also saying that none is wise as the experienced. The question is, how is the experience we acquire in the study influencing faith above reason?

M. Laitman: Our experiences, as we want to constantly expand it more and more through all kinds of actions above reason, even within reason sometimes, yes, there are ascents, descents. This experience gives us more and more vessels, more tools, which connect with one another and then from this connection between them this is the essence of the wisdom. The wisdom is not me knowing about something, but rather to the extent in which my acquaintance with that thing helps me to connect to additional new phenomena and then I recognize and learn and know them. That's how I attain these things. The main thing is all together to see the connection between everyone, that's all the wisdom. The force of what.

Question (Women Heb1) (01:44:46) Good morning, I hope my question is appropriate. How in the Ten do I stop using the will to receive in order to receive and does it depend only on me or on my entire Ten? I feel that sometimes it depends on them?

M. Laitman: Start working in actions in order to bestow and to stop in order to receive, don't think about. Just think about how am I activating actions in order to bestow towards the friends.

Student: Such automatic actions that are seemingly in order to bestow?

M. Laitman: I didn't understand.

Student: It's something automatic that I wish to give to the friends. I'm thinking if I'm going to receive in return?

M. Laitman: That's not good automatic. It all needs to be calculated with the intention and precisely in creating forces and that's how you do it.

Student: They asked you what to do with the state of the city of Shushan was perplexed. You said that then you have to check if there are vessels we're using and to stop using them, only to be precise. Did you refer to vessels used in order to receive or in general have to stop?

M. Laitman: I don't know all together. Try and then we'll talk.

Question (Haifa 1): (01:46:34) The revelation of a light of Hochma and Purim from above. They give us this example to taste from above so our work will be from below later and we'll reach the end of correction. Is this according to the same law?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Hadera 1): (01:47:03) I'm asking a question today. Let's say I won't be able to understand but maybe a friend help a friend with the intention. So the miracle in Purim is a reception of the left line. Sorry, the reception of the middle line?

M. Laitman: I didn't understand what you're saying.

Student:  What is the miracle happening in Purim?

M. Laitman: The miracle that happens in Purim is already at the middle line.

Student: You said often that if we receive the light of Hochma directly into our vessels of reception it will be a short circuit?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What does it mean to receive it not directly? We need a resistance between them, according to the resistance proportional to my will to receive but I do not receive. Meaning I can receive only through the Creator and He gives me a chance to not leave anything for you, anything bad or anything like that?

M. Laitman: That is through the restriction, the screen and reflected light that I perform exactly a calculation and then I just like in a scale at a balanced scale, I measure how much he's giving and how much I can give in reflected light. Then according to that I only receive in the middle line.

Student: It's written that only Mordechai knew. Mordechai is the right line that's above reason. What does it mean that he knew?

M. Laitman: Mordechai knew how the correction will come. Whereas according to the logic, Haman was correct and Mordechai knew that. With that justice you cannot succeed but rather only by destroying or killing the Haman the whole line and beginning to use bestowal.

Question (Latin 4): (01:50:01) Why are they speaking of the Jewish people and not the people of Israel in the text, what's the difference here?

M. Laitman: A Jew, Yehudi in Hebrew, comes from the word Yichud, unity, where we all unite together and their desire is but to be together, a Jew, a Yehudi. Israel talks more about the direction. They're going forward towards the Creator and that's why it's called Yashar Kel, direct to the Creator. That's called Yisrael, meaning every person that is aimed to the Creator, that wants to reach Him, it's called Yisrael. Yehudi, a Jew, is talking more about the structure of everyone being connected, that they have a unification. And Israel is more about the vector, where they're drawn to.

Question (Women Moscow 6): (01:51:31) What does it mean to kill Haman, what does it mean to kill the will to receive?

M. Laitman: Haman is a very bad force. It is completely, completely against the method of Israel and it cannot be that both will live together. Rather either Haman or Israel. Hence, Haman is Ha-man, it's in order to receive. It's like an abbreviation and therefore it needs to be killed, hung with all his ten sons which is his entire Partzuf, but Zeresh's wife is even worse than him. She's a great witch. That's it. What else there? There are also good people. Harbuna and the other two there. That's it. Well, we had enough of this. The main thing for us is to come to how this holiday needs to be realized in us, in this world, in practice, in matter. It's very important. But we're getting close to this. It will be, let's hope that soon. What else do we have here?

Student: (01:53:56) We want to connect. Let's say we fail, we raise a prayer, a request and then we receive the desired connection. Is this called a miracle?

M. Laitman: No. You're actually doing everything according to the laws. Yes, we want to connect because egoists cannot connect and we do perform all kinds of corrections that include within them their desire to receive until it reaches a certain measure of bestowal, through that measure of bestowal you connect between you and only come to the initial correction. Yes.

Student: What is a miracle according to what it's written here?

M. Laitman: There are several miracles. The miracle of Purim, the miracle of Chanukah, the miracle of the exodus from Egypt; miracle is what doesn't happen by the way of nature, where there's some kind of upper force that is guiding the action and it succeeds. If there wasn't the miracle of Purim then it would be impossible to kill Haman.

Student: The question is, is a miracle within reason?

M. Laitman: No, above reason is the approach. It's how we need to relate to our corrections. That's called faith above reason, where we see that we can't succeed, we have no choice or no chance and in our nature we're not capable of bestowing and to connect between us and to think good of the other. Rather automatically we always are in the desire to receive for ourselves which is called evil. But with that, we do continue and succeed.

Student: Is us continuing above reason?

M. Laitman: No, that's not above reason. It's, how should we say, it's not faith above reason. It's continuing, we're continuing from it being written, from a society that's pressuring us, from a teacher that repeats it. It's not faith above reason. Faith above reason will come later.

Student: (01:57:40) It's written that Mordechai did great work in order to be in order to receive. What was the great work that he did? He discovered that they wanted to send to come to harm the king, that's how the whole story starts and it's written that he did very big work to discover this. What is that great work in order to discover the intention in order to receive?

M. Laitman: It wasn't clear. It wasn't clear and in general he discovered this entire attitude that comes from Haman. That it's not, it doesn't come through Haman alone but through his messengers as well. But all of it is an incorrect approach.

Student:  But specifically Mordechai wants to do everything for the benefit of the king. How by wanting to do everything for the benefit of the king does he specifically discover these forces? What in the effort in the exertion of this work reveals the opposite thing?

M. Laitman: He wants to perform actions in order to bestow and in that process he reveals all the powers that are against him.

Student: So what precisely are those? What is that effort of wanting to do everything in order to bestow that he does? Because, I'm sorry, but it's as if, if his inclination is to not receive from Mordechai, all of a sudden there's something that says, I want everything in order to bestow and that evokes the in order to receive?

M. Laitman: You can say that too. I didn't quite understand his question. Okay? If you have questions, they'll come, you’ll scrutinize it. You can't reach correction without scrutiny. What are we doing next?

Reader: We can sing a song and then maybe read the scroll.

Question (Women Ukraine): (02:00:36) It is written that Malchut is called the Temple. And the Temple is the extension of Hochma. Why is Malchut dependent on the extension of Hochma?

M. Laitman: Malchut is the last Sefira of the Ten Sefirot and it's like a storehouse where she wants to receive, she needs to receive according to the plan of creation, all the lights that come from Keter. They have to pass through all the created beings and fill the Malchut. And Malchut is called the storehouse of all the lights. The general soul.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (02:01:35) What does it mean that a person must get drunk to the point where he cannot differentiate between the Haman and the blessed Mordechai?

M. Laitman: Yes, that’s how it is. A person has to come to a state where all his vessels, both vessels of reception and vessels of bestowal will be completely mixed and corrected in order to bestow. And then there will be no difference between receiving or bestowing. He needs to work, I'll say it differently. In order to bestow to the Creator, so it doesn't matter what I have to do. You say receive, I'll receive. You tell me to bestow, I'll bestow. Tell me don't receive, don’t bestow at all. I'll stand in the middle. Meaning the correction has to be however it is for the benefit of the upper one. That's what we need to do.

Question (Baltia 3): (02:03:39) Is the joy that helps us intensify and strengthen the light of Hassadim upon the light of Hochma, meaning to cover it?

M. Laitman: No, that's actually the basis. It's what we gain from the efforts. Okay, what else do we need to do?

Reader: We'll sing a song and read the scroll.

M. Laitman: Okay.

Reader: So we'll move to a song.

Song: (02:04:19)
