Can Palestinians and Israelis be like brothers? The following is a transcript of this video where Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman and Oren Levi discuss an event where a young Palestinian man saved Israelis from death after they were victims of a terror attack.
Oren Levi: A young Palestinian finds himself together with his wife in the middle of a terror attack where four Jewish family members are shot in the Hebron area. This young fellow, a real hero, stopped. He and his wife treated the Jewish family, and saved three of them from death. From that moment on, their life under the Palestinian authority turned into hell. They fled to Israel. They were here for three years like wanderers and only now did they get their permanent residence card. Do you consider this man to be a hero?
Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: Yes, of course he is.
Oren Levi: What do you think went through his mind?
Dr. Laitman: That he has to save people. He wasn't thinking whether they were Jews or not. He saw people in trouble and he felt an inner need to help them.
Oren Levi: What do we have to feel toward him as Israelis?
Dr. Laitman: We have to help him in everything. I don't really understand how it is possible that he was treated that way. He is like a brother, someone who is really close and we need to accept him with open arms.
