Baal HaSulam - Shamati 46. The Domination of Israel over the Klipot

1.Rav’s Introduction: Simply, let's read these short articles that we have. We have two of them today in the first part, but they are very meaningful. The articles that we are going through now need to gradually, slowly build in us the correct attitude to spirituality and for us to know what we are going toward. Realize that these are things that have to take place in each person that has the desire to reveal the Creator and to adhere to Him. In truth this path is a path where we revealed a necessity to be adhered between us. Then the connection between us that we discover with force, this connection, the essence of this connection is the Creator therefore without coming closer to the other you cannot reveal the Creator. We see according to history, according to everything that we have in life and how it comes to us from the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, the revelation of the gap between the desires, the parts of the desires between the souls, between the people that we reveal.

Altogether we discover the place where we must reveal the Creator until the Creator dwells amongst us, between us. We intend to come closer to the Creator to bring Him contentment and raise Him above the desires that are in us which are egotistical desires relative to the desires that are outside of us which are altruistic desires in order to bestow. That is what we need to do. This is called “we shall flip or invert it,” meaning to invert bestowal, where it was reception or the nature of the Creator, upon the nature of the created beings. This is called to raise the Creator higher than our head. This is also called control, who is in control, the control of Israel on the Klipot, meaning the desires that are contradictory to connection and the Creator. There is the control of Israel, the inclination towards the revelation of the Creator on the forces that contradict that so we need to understand and to feel, to locate correctly those desires that maybe we don't understand correctly what is happening to us, that each time I think of myself and not others.

Where I desire for some egotistical calculation, that I am truly in opposition to the Creator. The Creator is the system of relationships which is anti-egotistical, while what we have today and we look at everything in the manner of how can I enjoy and how can I arrange it so it will be more comfortable and pleasurable, safe, how do I invert that? That is called we shall convert it or vice versa where we invert our nature by the reforming light and the Creator helps us with this to a state in which the force of bestowing which is what we call and Divinity shall dwell between us.

2. R. (07:04) Meaning after the shattering and the influence of the reforming light where the vessels begin to rise from death, from in order to receive and where they are after the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, then we have a process of scrutiny and correction and by the reforming light, the upper light that operates gradually upon everyone, but after the shattering not each and every one is in an equal manner like the others, like every other shattered peace. There are those that are shattered more and those that have less of a shattering and according to the extent you feel and discover yourself as being in the shattering then you awaken. You awaken and wanting to rise above the shattering because they feel that it is detrimental to them and until they somehow come closer to the reforming light and it doesn't just awaken them but also gives them the discernment that coming closer to him can only be in the way of equivalence of qualities just like he bestows and has those intentions in the shattered creatures.

Then they begin to come closer more and more to the reforming light and begin to feel that the correction depends on them coming closer to one another, not egotistically but above their ego to return to that state like they were an Adam HaRishon prior to the shattering, prior to the eruption of the intention in order to receive between them which separated and distance between them, between the shattered parts. In this way, slowly these shattered pieces that are already people of this world, is how they reveal themselves as being the path of correction. If you have the intentions in order to bestow this is called Israel, to control over the nations of the world, if it is opposite to have the intention to receive, that is what Israel that is called to control of the nations of the world upon Israel and not only Israel but all together that's why everything depends on what intention is here in the dominion over the vessels. All of the people are made up of two parts, from GE and AHP because we come from the one vessel which is a demand when all of the parts of him shattered and fell, intermingled, mixed and began to come to a stage where the upper light shines on them after the shattering and sorts them out according to his bestowing on him.

It turns out that each and every part moves toward the upper light that bestows on them according to the measure of corruption in it. The vessels that are more corrupted and those that are less, that are more in the desire to receive our last smaller ones. This is how we begin to see our history, how everything awakens on the vessels of reception and this is how we can see through this what is happening all together with humanity. Of course the parts that are awakening and feel what is happening that they can participate in the process of correction, understand what is going on with them. The vessels that only have the will to receive and don't even awaken somewhat to the desire to bestow, they don't know what is happening, they just flow without any reason because reason is called that which we acquire in the difference between the desire to receive and the desire to bestow in the nature of the Creator and the nature of the created beings as we have a way to arrange and associate them with one another.

Then with the resistance and the connection and all the discernment between them we can actually acquire the force of separation and up connection analysis and synthesis of our information, our knowledge and impressions and this is where we get the whole wisdom from. First of all the wisdom of Kabbalah, how to obtain the force that controls us and how to reveal it, how to truly draw it out of concealment. Then how we can on our own advance toward him to participate with him in his work in the scrutiny of the shattered vessels, that is already considered one will help his friend and more processes that we have to go through. Today we are entering into a stage in which this select group that is belonging to and must build a GE of the general vessel of Adam HaRishon and to join itself to that which is built prior to it, the generations of Kabbalists. We need for the first time in history to also advertise this exertion to all the people of the world, this knowledge to all of humanity in a way that the whole world will come to the desired correction.

Let us read and in the process that we go through there is the control of Israel which is the vessels that are drawn according to their nature to the revelation of the Creator since the upper light illuminates on them and they feel his illumination and that is why they awaken toward the light. Then there are those that are not yet there, cannot yet feel the reforming light that is drawing them to the good that does good and therefore they are still called the nations of the world, desires that have yet to awaken to the Creator. In truth in each of us every one of the people of the world have vessels of bestowing, vessels of GE vessels that are called Israel and vessels of AHP which are called the vessels of the nation of the world, vessels of reception in each and everyone. The question is are they awakening for the time being or not.

3. R. (16:17) We also need to understand where this stems from as after the shattering of the vessels of Adam HaRishon, which is the general vessel that the Creator created, the scrutiny began. The scrutiny was in the generations following Adam, 10 generations from Adam to Noah and another ten generations from Noah to Abraham, 20 generations where there are already discernments. Then in Babylon when everything mixed up again and in the Tower of Babylon, we need to understand that everything that was scrutinize there, the souls of the Kabbalists that lived from Adam to Abraham all of that once more got mixed and that is why it is called Babylon and once more correction needed to take place. The correction began by Abraham and this was truly a very big thing in the gap between Abraham's father and Abraham himself. To the extent they were opposite where his father was immersed in the AHP and Abraham was already associated with GE and then the discernment began and the differentiation and the gap between those vessels that are drawn from Babylon, from the state of everything being mixed and intermingled, to the state of scrutiny.

That is where they first engagements word that belong to us putting out what belongs to in order to bestow and what belongs to in order to receive play this is why we here about Abraham about breaking the idols, because there is no place in any desire to receive that there's any good force, the will to receive has in all of those desires nothing to look for. If you want to reveal the upper force, if you want to rise above life of the degree of animal and rise to the degree of Adam which resembles the Creator to reveal him, to reveal the life in a state of a higher and more exalted level than what a person of this world has, you must then connect between you. You must between you, begin to collect yourself at least corporeally, as one man and one heart. all of Israel are friends and this is how you need to behave. Of course this is against your desire which comes from the shattering certainly against your intellect, against your feelings in every possible way but it is in a person to rise with his forces that he has received above that which he has created above his nature. This is why there is the matter of the control of the vessels of bestowal on the vessels of reception or the control of the vessels of reception on the vessels of bestowal and they are in contradiction between themselves and this is why throughout history we see the struggle which began from Adam.

Towards Abraham it became more and more sharp and pronounced, from Abraham onwards the gap became mostly between Abraham and Terah, the father of Abraham as they couldn't live together and they were truly already as two contradicted opposite degrees, Terah worked godliness in order to receive and Abraham worked godliness in order to bestow. Therefore those that understand and are willing and want to ascribe an attribute themselves somewhat, to have some kind of drawing in their heart and want to come closer to bestowal even though they don't want on behalf of their nature but that they understand here is actually the great principle and if you acquire it you rise to a higher degree. This is how they joined to that which is called Abraham to the Avram, to the force that unites and sorts the new nation, which is the force of bestowing, the force of Bina in the place of the force of Malchut. This is the difference where the force of Terah withdraws to Malchut and the force of Abraham the father of the nation, Avram, will draw toward Bina, this is the difference between them. They separated these two ideological groups and certainly Abraham's group is a new group, a group that must exist ever since among the nations of the world and there is always a contradiction between it and the nations of the world and gradually, slowly they are clarified until everyone will know that there is no choice but that we must go above nature of the AHP, of the nations of the world, of the ego. That there is no choice as we were born in order to rise and merge into a higher degree in order to bestow and that is the true nature that we don't feel because for the time being we look at everything through our will to receive.

(24:43) The nations of the world are the will to receive which is in all of nature broken shattered, crushed and different in each one by this people are in a struggle with each other and on the other hand inevitably they connect with one another in order to learn, to profit and to truly battle with one another. We need to understand what Israel and the nation of the world is, Israel is Yashar Kel, straight to the Creator and the nations of the world are the will to receive without the feeling of connection to the source, to its source. Even though everyone comes from the Creator but there are those that feel that they belong to him and there are those that don't feel belonging to him, that is the difference. This is until in each and every one the feeling of connection awakens to the Creator which he actually belongs to or is associated with him. A person can rise a certain day to feel that he has something in the source of life, the purpose of life, what I live for and where is the upper force. Just like all of us who belong to that inclination, to the Creator we all felt each according to his state, to his degree, to his shattered vessels. We need to understand first what Israel is and what are the nations of the world. Do you understand that in each of us there is both this and that. There are those that already awakened such vessels of bestowal, the nations of the world and there are those that don't yet awaken the vessels of bestowing but also in each and every one there is also those and those.

Just like we learn from the shattering of the vessels, there is no vessels that doesn't come from the 10 complete Sefirot from the soul of Adam HaRishon which is called in the Garden of Eden which went through the shattering and it's ten Sefirot took on the intention of in order to receive. Prior to that, all of the 10 Sefirot were there with the intention in order to bestow and therefore in each and every one there is a part which is connected to the Creator and there is a part that is not connected to the Creator. That is in each and every one and only in those where it already awakens this connection to the Creator, a desire and a need to reveal him, because as we feel the source of life, they also feel their life a little higher up than earthliness, but they are drawn to that. According to their attraction they are called Israel. Those desires to connect to the Creator are yet to awaken in them, they are called the nations of the world but again this is something that is very mobile, very fluid which changes.

Because in every generation and every single state there's a state where these awaken and come closer to the Creator to clarify and to get to know him, of course at first it is in order to receive as they want to know and understand him. Nevertheless it happens and each and every generation this happens and once he is revealed in the form of a real way as all of our history of all of humanity, to the extent it is all stemming 100% only from the clarification and the scrutiny of the shattered vessels by the upper light. It is explained in many places that Israel means internality, the interior vessels, GE with which one can work in order to bestow contentment on one's maker that is called Israel and actually even though we don't have those vessels in practice we have an attraction to it. Somewhat we feel a belonging to it and the nations of the world are called the matter of externality in the posterior vessels, where is sustenance comes completely from reception and not bestowing but in each of us, we have both the vessels of interior and this is why they all come from the unclarified discernments which are just called, that you can't even say they are the nations of the world because the nations of the world are clarified and scrutinized that are belonging to AHP.

The part that is clarified and scrutinized toward bestowing is called GE. Prior to the scrutiny of them and the discernment of them of the desire you can't divide and say that you can bestow or cannot, that desire is not, it belongs to Adam to the system of Adam HaRishon after the shattering which is not clarified. This is what happens, actually with everyone therefore to call to people who are not drawn to the Creator that they belong to the nations of the world is also incorrect, as the nations of the world are already clarified and discerned, somewhat for the time being that is resisting adhesion. We will talk about that and the nations of the world are called the externality, the posterior vessels and their sustenance comes from reception and not bestowing and in each and every one of us there is both this part called GE, Israel and the part that is called AHP, Awzen, Hotem Peh which are in each and everyone. then the domination is either of GE on AHP or AHP on GE.

All together that's what it is and it's between correction needs to be that way or not erasing or getting rid of AHP but to the contrary, we are connecting it correctly to GE as the GE will give the intention in order to bestow between us. From between us that is called love your friend as yourself to the Creator which is called love the Lord your God That is how we will correct ourselves and this is the correction that GE wants to bring to all the vessels. The vessels of AHP feel from now that we are in don't want that, they want to remain as they are and to receive more knowledge of the forces of the Creator without change, that is actually the nature of AHP, that is what he says that the nations of the world are called the matter of externality and the posterior vessels whose sustenance comes solely from reception and not busy, this is according to Nature. There are those in which that heart is very heavy and there are those in which it is relatively light.

Such people that are very very airy, light, so-called spiritual, but in truth a person that comes to spiritual degrees is one who is very egotistical with a very heavy AHP, and we'll have to work on his AHP and correct it in order to bestowing as the vessels of GE remote control the vessels AHP and this is very great work called the work of Israel. In the domination of the nations of the world over Israel is that they cannot work in the form of bestowing in the interior vessels, GE but only in the posterior vessels AHP and they enticed the servants of the Creator that are already working with GE, the vessels of bestowing so that they will extend the lights down to the posterior vessels. Although it is impossible to extend the lights into the posterior vessels because there is a contradiction in those that are all the force of bestowing and the vessels of the posterior whose intention is in order to receive. Not the desire to receive that we are talking about, we're not talking about the desire to receive we are talking about the vessels, the intentions, the desires remain certain desires but the intentions are either in order to receive or in order to bestow and only according to the tensions can we actually measure the vessels, sort them and scrutinize them. Therefore a person that is in the intention to bestow belongs to GE and the one that belongs to the intention to receive belongs to AHP, this is why it all can be mobile, there can be a mobility, that today he belongs to Israel in his intentions and tomorrow certain desires will belong to the nations of the world or vice versa.

It is to the extent in which the upper light illuminates from above and gives a person these scrutinies of the vessels, to feel them, to understand and sort them out to the degree of an order to bestow. This is what he says, the control of the nations of the world Is that they cannot work in a vessel of bestowing but only in the posterior vessels and they enticed the servants of the Creator to work with GE, the vessels are bestowal and to the extent the lights because they belong to GE, they have the upper light. Here there is an additional awakening on behalf of the vessels of posterior, on the side of the will to receive that is not corrected, that wants to receive these lights and to know and to understand and to draw for itself everything that is above it. By having such control, such a desire, it is seemingly holding on to those vessels, those desires that want to rise to the Creator to use them in such a way but through them He will draw a light for himself, that is the domination of the nations of the world on Israel that they want control in such a way.

Actually those vessels of GE that are called straight to the Creator, that desire the Creator are in many cases in history that we also see that were under the control of the nations of the world and did what the nations of the world told them to do. By that, of course it's caused great troubles both to themselves and to the nations of the world. Meaning the correct work needs to be that also the nations of the world, the vessels of AHP and the vessels of GE, will work together in order to rise up to the degree of bestowing to the Creator from Malchut to Bina. The domination of Israel means that if they give power so that each and every one will be able to work in order to bestow contentment on his maker if there is such a force in the shattered vessels. Meaning only in the vessels of interior for there to be forces only in the vessels of Panim the anterior vessels, to scrutinize and attribute them to the Creator and when they extend the matter of Hochma it is only in the form of a path to travel through and not more. Meaning only to draw more light in order to bestow and not to use the vessels of reception in order to fill them but rather to use the vessels of reception in order to draw the light to them and for this light to move through them, to travel through them.

They are not in any form of impression in our vessels but in what we have here we need to understand that our entire work is to somewhat bring ourselves to the forces of bestowing by the reforming light which we can draw only on the condition that we try to be in the manner of correction and then the upper light according to the equivalence of form shines on us and this is how we are corrected.

5. S. (41:45) When Israel in the ten are in a strong intention for bestowal does this mean that posterior vessels are heightened?

R. You can't get rid of the vessels. There are both vessels of Panim and Achoraim. We would not exist without the vessels of Achoraim, the posterior. Our whole nature is the posterior vessels but we can use the vessels of the posterior and move to the vessels of bestowal, called Galgalta ve Eynaim. There is no Galgalta ve Eynaim to begin with. We are a will to receive and if we acquire an intention to bestow over some of our desires which manifest in connecting between us and aiming our connection to connect with the Creator, these desires, these vessels, are called Galgalta ve Eynaim and according to their inclination, they are referred to as Yashar-El, straight to the Creator, Israel.

6. S. (43:52) How can we develop both the vessels of interior, the Galgalta ve Eynaim, and posterior, AHP, in our ten and to use them correctly?

R. According to the method called the wisdom of Kabbalah. The wisdom of Kabbalah is a wisdom of how to reveal the Creator in the vessels of the created being, how to resemble the Creator on part of the created being to come closer to Him, to become like Him. This is called receiving the influence of the Creator by effort of the created being, and these influences, these lights, will correct us and make us human, Adam, which means similar to the Creator.

7. S. (45:05) Why has the Creator chosen us to be a conductor for the correction of the world?

R. He didn't choose. The Creator is the upper light, it exists everywhere as it is said ‘the whole world is full of His glory,’ and He influences all of the vessels equally, the good and the bad. In the shattering of the vessels in the collective system of Adam HaRishon there are such vessels that were broken more and some were broken less; different vessels were broken in different ways based on the different desire to receive in each vessel. It's like you take a vessel and you shatter it and it's pieces are then sorted as the upper light shines on them and then you begin to see which pieces are closer and farther from the upper light. You can't see that in advance because when the vessel is whole it is unclear, but when the vessel is shattered you find all of foundations, the natural elements, that exist in each and every part, and how each desire is naturally far from the upper light, and how much its qualities are opposite to the upper light. None of that can be sorted out or clarified without the shattering. This is why the shattering had to happen. The clarification happens over a long time and through many efforts on the Creator's part and the created beings part. It is as if the Creator says, ‘I shall suffer as well’ and that means that the created beings go through a lot of tough scrutiny as we begin to see the gaps, the distances, and proximity between the parts of the created being and the parts of the Creator and how the created being builds itself from the broken pieces. These pieces would not be able to come closer to each other without the shattering. What we call ‘one shall help his friend,’ ‘love of friends,’ and so on, is how the created being regroups the shattered pieces to each other and by that it begins to reconnect the Creator with the broken vessels, the shattered pieces. That process is called the revelation of the Creator which means unifying the broken pieces together. We, in fact, build His form, His shape, this is why it is called Bore, ‘Come and See. This is how we attain this shape. We are asking, demanding, that we want this shape to take form but each time we find ourselves like a child who wants to do something but until we help the child, he can't do it on its own; it is the same thing here but there is a deeper intention here because by wanting to correct something and not being able to, we turn to the Creator and find our connection with Him. We recognize who our father is and how much we need Him and then we begin to work together with Him in the correction process that is why we are called the Creator's partners. This is how we discover who He is and also who we are. We also connect between us and with Him. We come to the complete form of the created being and the complete form of the Creator and they both exist together in adhesion. This is the result of our efforts and a result of the shattering. We have to see this whole process from the shattering of Adam HaRishon until the completion of Adam HaRishon in the final correction and all that is happening to us in the process. If we begin to see this whole picture, then we better understand history, geography, whatever happens to us today, the nature of family, children and parents, everything. It is worthwhile for us to go a little deeper into it.

8. S. (50:26) Are all the nations of the world Klipot?

R. No, the Klipot are the parts that are against the Kedusha and it can become clear only in the people who yearn for the Creator. People whose desires want to receive from the Creator and not to bestow is called Klipot. The Klipot is unrelated to the nations of the world; it is related to the workers of the Creator who desire the revelation of the Creator but they want that in order to receive. So just plain human beings, people on the street, that is not Klipot, but are just people on the animate level. The people like us who desire the Creator but haven't yet corrected themselves, contain desires that approach the Creator and want to take and suck from the Creator. We can say that we in the meantime are under the rule of the Klipot. This is not just any person off the street, let's say from France somewhere, that is not a Klipa. We have to see the difference here otherwise we will be disregarding the people in this world who are on the animate level. Klipa is already the opposite side of Kedusha and it can only be in people who long for the Creator and relate themselves to the Creator and not otherwise. Look at people off the streets. What kind of awakening do they have from the Creator that you can say that they are Klipa? They are not, they simply live on the animate level. Look at their desires and their intentions, how they live. In this world we call them human beings, but with respect to spirituality it is said that they all seem as beasts.

9. S. (53:37) Does each soul have a part of Galgalta ve Eynaim and a part of AHP after the shattering?

R. Yes, each and every part has Galgalta ve Eynaim and AHP from the shattering. That part awakens depending on what part of Galgalta ve Eynaim as opposed to AHP that the upper light shines more or less and in different periods. There's a program here which operates the upper light which shines more or less in different kinds of illuminations and that is what awakens the broken vessels. He explains that this is the matter of the different times. We read about this somewhere recently. The small illuminations are the matter of times that we go through.

10. S. (55:06) How do we work with the struggles of the vessels of reception and the vessels of bestowal between us?

R. That is a good question and to the point. We are exactly that point. How we turn from the questions of Terah to that of Abraham, from the work of the AHP, vessels of reception and desires to receive, to Galgalta ve Eynaim, the desires to bestow, the work of Abraham. We do this first of all by connection in the ten on the corporeal level and then in connection of the ten as much as possible in the spiritual manner and in clarifying the concept of the Creator inside the ten. This is called ‘Come and See,’ ‘You have made Me.’ We have to establish the feeling of the inner force of the group in the group, which is the Creator and that is called ‘You have made Me.’ Meaning if we don't make it, it won't happen. There will be some awakenings from above that will be good, better or worse for us, more or less pleasant, but the path is simple. We have to build the system called ‘a ten’ and we have to bring it to a state where we reveal the collective and common force of bestowal that dwells there called ‘the Creator.’ That happens, of course, by awakening from above. We have to do this on the part of the vessels and we have to do this by wanting to connect, to unite, by coming together. It doesn't matter what ten I am in. I have accepted it, I'm in it, I can't look for something else or something new like people say sometimes. There's no such thing. Wherever you are this is called ‘the Creator put your hand on the good fate and said take it.’ We think that we are clarifying by looking for a different place to be, maybe a different ten or a different place that's more convenient for me. Trust me, where you fell into happened from above. In this state where you are you have to try to make the connection happen as it should be in the 10 Sefirot and you are Malchut connecting all of the friends together. Each friend, from his individual point, has to take care of connecting all of the friends together and this is how you reveal the Creator between you. This is when we begin to study Kabbalah practically, through the connection between us we discover the results, the findings, like in any laboratory.

11. S. (59:30) How do I emerge from the control of the Klipot when I identify it in myself?

R. Only by connection and overcoming. You don't have any other means besides connecting to the friends with all of your strength, as much as you can with heart and soul. He writes to try to establish a state there where the Creator can be revealed.

S. Is there such a thing that the whole ten is under the control of the Klipot or is that only on an individual level?

R. It is possible but we are not yet in a state where this is threatening us.

S. Does this mean we are under the Klipot when things do not go wrong?

R. No, it actually helps. The Creator is showing us or He might not show us and then we don't know what to correct. The Creator shows us that we are starting from an unclear state and we have to demand corrections. It all happens only in the effort to connect between us. Only if we try to connect between us can you ask the Creator to clarify and strengthen the connection and make it happen in the right way. If you don't make the effort, it is like a cry in the desert.

12. S. (01:01:30) It is not clear what the separation is to yearn for unity.

R. We have to long for connection in each and every state because specifically in longing for the connection can we clarify all of the states that we go through and correct them. The inclination to connect has to be there first; this is called ‘love covers all crimes.’

13. S. (01:02:22) Baal HaSulam writes that the control of Israel is called when we can work with the vessels of Panim. What does it mean from the connection between us in the ten we are working in vessels of Panim?

R. This means we are working only with bestowal, only to bestow to each other. Not receiving in order to bestow as we can't do that yet, but only bestowal in order to bestow. Meaning that I support the others as much as possible, and I am as if on their part, I support them. But in order to take upon myself corrections and pass them through myself, I still can't do that. This is called states of Katnut [smallness/infancy].

S. He continues and says here that even if they draw the matter of Hochma, it is only as conduit?

R. It is already working with AHP, with vessels of Achoraim [posterior]. When we raise the vessels of posterior to the vessels Panim, this is called AHP of ascent, and we start working with the posterior vessels in order to bestow as well. So I am not working on relating myself to others, in the part of others; but I take that work upon myself and I work on myself to correct these things and raise them higher. Let's put it like that, I don't really have the words to explain this. It is like you want to work and you either go and help the friend or you take a part of the friend's work and you do it in your vessels, but the result goes to him.

S. Always only work with the vessels of the friends and not my own?

R. No. You can use your vessels to correct the friends' vessels. But you are using your vessels in order to build such systems that we will all be working for the benefit of the friend. This means “this and no more” meaning you don't use it for yourself but all for the benefit of your friend. So even your vessels of reception, you are using them only to support your friends, to help him to do something.

S. What does it mean that I am correcting the vessels of my friends?

R. It means that you connect to the friend’s vessels and you can participate with him in the action of ten Sefirot, and you take his desires from him and with these desires you work in order to fulfill him. Or you take desires from the friends and you join them to you and when their desires are in you, you correct them; that is a different thing. This is a matter of the style of the work. If you add your forces to the friend, this means you are supporting with your vessels of bestowal. So as if you add your GE to his ten Sefirot, maybe we can show it like this. Rav Draws You have your friend and you attach your GE to him. So this is your friend and this is me. So if I attach my GE to the friends, that is clear, I give him more awakening from me from my GE to his, so he has more strength and then he can also work with his AHP. But if I can work with my vessels of AHP that is a different thing already. So now I need to correct my vessel of AHP and connect to his AHP and I can't do this directly because these are egoistic vessels, my egoistic vessels and it is his egoistic vessel. So here there has to be a special kind of transition between me and him, and that is done in a way that I can pass but not more, which means I received lights from above but I relate myself to him and pass it on to him. It doesn't remain in me, it doesn't stay inside of me. So this is called a passageway that travels through and not more, but I draw the lights from above; I am working with the vessels of reception, joining them to his vessels of reception and we can say that this is something that happens during impregnation when the mother is taking care of the embryo. 14. S. (01:09:42) What is the source of hatred to the vessels called Israel from the nations of the world, is this disparity of form between them or that Israel does not draw the nations of the world to bestow?

R. We are not attracting them to bestowing, we are also not passing the upper light to them, so they feel that we have something that we are stealing from them or not sharing with them, and according to the system it is correct. That's why the hatred towards Israel from the nations of the world is throughout all generations until we correct ourselves to be the right passageway for the upper light and recognition of the Creator to the nations of the world.

R. By getting closer to the nations of the world and becoming included with their desires and we try to awaken in them somewhat a desire for spiritual ascent as well. We then are integrated with their desires of reception, as they don't have other desires and we do this in order to demand corrections from the Creator. But we have to incorporate with their desires, meaning we have to be willing to receive additional vessels of reception, it is not right now; it is after Israel corrects themselves and goes through the degree of Egypt, and the ascent by reception of Torah, the upper light and by entering the desire to bestow which is called the land of Israel and building the Temple, which means the Kli, which is entirely in order to bestow. And then we can receive in this vessel the AHP: the nations of the world, the additional AHP. Rav draws: Basically it ends up like this. We have a single structure: Here is GE and here is AHP and here is the nations of the world who too have GA and AHP. So this is GE of Israel and AHP of Israel, this is GE of the nations of the world and this is AHP of the nations of the world. And this is why we need to do dissemination in this manner, in short there’s more passageways here, but ultimately all of this has to happen. First of all of course we have to correct ourselves, this is what it is about, that we have to correct ourselves. And then, we also correct the nations of the world; this is called the complete redemption.

S. What is the enticement that they have not to draw the light downwards or to not be attempted, if there is such an ability?

R. No. Not to draw the light downwards is until you correct the vessels that are in order to receive. So you can't demand fulfillment for them, but only correction. This is called “not to draw the light downwards” to the vessel of reception.

S. What is the scrutiny that a person needs to ask himself in order to scrutinize correctly?

R. We always need to be in scrutiny. What is happening to me, in what vessels am I in, what states am I drawn to and what do I need to do in order to make some little step towards correction? always be inclined to that. We essentially need to absorb an impression from everything that we read in the articles. Every article is a topic of inner scrutiny for each and every one, for each ten and for all of our Kli. We also have to see how we are all connected and also the process that the world is going through. Look at what the world is going through, don't go too deep into it because it can confuse people, but see how the world is beginning to take the exact shape of coming closer to correction, and we can see how more and more recognition of evil is happening right now. And the truth is many people in the world agree that connection is required. This connection can raise us above all of the troubles and challenges of this world, they just don't believe it's possible.

16. S. (01:15:40) In what way can I know the friend's desire in the ten?

R. You have to receive, in advance, the friend's desire as completely wanting to connect. Look at what Rabash writes in the Social Articles.

17. S. (01:16:21) How are the changes in scrutinies expressed in the ten by the control of the nations of the world or the Israel in us?

R. The ego between us that is erupting that's called the domination of the nations of the world on us. And the ego that we can sometimes connect through and have inclination towards mutual bestowal is called, the dominance of Israel

18. S. (01:17:01) How can we understand that the control of the force of bestowal upon the reception, is in us to some extent?

R. Well for the time being it comes from above and the Creator is holding on to us. And had he not been holding on to us then we wouldn't be able to do it ourselves, we would fall apart; we exist only with the mercy of the Creator. Because I'm not concerned with connection. Look at the mother how concerned she is with her child. She is constantly thinking about it, she has this constant concern in her heart; she can't detach from it. Similarly we need to be connected in the ten and from that to reach the connection between us.

19. S. (01:18:11) The shell, the peel, protects the fruit. Do the nations of the world protect Israel?

R. Yes, with hatred, with a negative attitude towards Israel, they are protecting Israel, otherwise they would have fallen apart.

20. S. (01:18:30) Where do we get the desire to resemble the Creator because for now all I see is just getting blows from him?

R. That's not related one to the other, blows or no blows. There is simply a desire with an inclination to the Creator, a point in the heart, and there are other desires and we need to learn how to use these desires and those desires. And to know which desire every single moment is speaking from within me, that's what I need to be constantly concerned with.

21. S. (01:19:22) What does it mean that Israel is working with the vessels of posterior, they are a conduit for a light to pass through?

R. No. Israel is with her own vessels, with GE and also with AHP. only with AHP it uses it to be in contact with the nations of the world. And as long as she doesn't have this connection or the ability to serve the nations of the world, then she works only with her own vessels, the vessels of GE.

22. S. (01:20:10) What is the state “a way to pass through it?”

R. A way to pass through is to use the vessels of reception but not to support them. to do it for GE; that's called using the AHP as AHP of ascent.
