On the Verge of Lishma - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #12

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:13) Yes, we have been talking about it for a while now on the possibility to enter Lishma that this is the divine, Godly degree in which we get again an ascent, the entrance on the condition that we perform all kinds of actions that enable us to enter Lishma. Meaning that we put in sufficient effort in connection and advancement in the connection between us, it is mostly operating in the connection between us against our ego. And then after a person performs a certain number that he has to perform of actions in advancing towards actions that are against his ego, then comes eventually the light from above that promotes him to the degree of Lishma, in order to bestow. And then he begins to feel what does it mean truly the place of the Creator, the connection with the Creator. Then he understands differently what is written and what is required of him and he begins to get to know what is called the upper world which is entirely bestowal above his will to receive. This is what we are studying. We will need to study more until we will see how much this study is helping us in the connection between us, in mutual support between us and that all in all, we will somehow be qualified, suitable for the first degree of in order to bestow which is called for Lishma. So please.

Reading Excerpt #12 (03:15) “The advice is that if a person sees..” Twice

2. R. (07:02) This is clear right? Well I guess it is if there are no questions.

3. S. (07:33) How if I am working in Lo Lishma how do I feel the toil in this what is this effort that I'm doing if I'm working in Lo Lishma?

R. If you are in Lo Lishma it is considered that you very much want to reach Lishma but you didn't get into it yet. The upper light doesn't yet shine on you in order to give you that quality the quality of bestowal; this is why you are still before taking on the quality of bestow through the upper light from above so it's a great toil for you that you want to reach it but you haven't reached it yet. And so you are in a state of confusion seemingly empty-handed from both sides and so you left in order to receive you don't feel calm Like every religious person being in order to receive, but you still haven't reached in order to bestow and so you are in between this and yet in between the Heavens and the Earth. This is why what the Kabbalaist say is that don't despair it is a period that you have to go through but here we need to add in the exertion in performing deeds of the bestowal even more than before and then you will get in, that's all.

4. S. (09:23) In the end it talks about repenting, what is to repent and what is it different to all the other actions that I do in Lo Lishma?

R. To Repent means to adhere to the Creator in other words, that's it. In Hebrew it's to come back the Hey will return to the Vav. Hey is the Malchut and Vav is the Zeir Anpin. So that the Malchut comes from the will to receive to the will to bestow, like Zeir Anpin, this is called returning repenting or returning to a higher degree.

S. Does this depend on me do I repent or is it the light?

R. No, of course, you are not performing any action on your own, but rather what is upon you is to raise MAN, as we call it a deficiency a prayer to cry out to ask to perform a certain examination of your actions and all of these things will push you to receive and take on new decisions that you have to connect with the friends even more and help the group and show that you truly want to reach bestowal.

S. And then in the end I will perform a certain action that I probably did a thousand like it beforehand and then I will suddenly feel that I repented?

R. Well that's the Creator, does the Creator does that but the transition is a very significant transition.

5. S. (11:30) He writes that one will not toil in a meal and lose it can you explain?

R. That a person who prepares himself or the spiritual life and it cannot be that he spent many years preparing to reach Lishma, and suddenly he just stops, suddenly he comes to a stop and even regresses, even from the side of the egoistic nature. It doesn't make sense that a person can do so such things even though there are those who do succeed that they go back both they enter under some external influence, and then they get into a society that holds them in whichever way it holds them.

S. So on one hand it says that we have to constantly be doing deeds to not calm down?

R. Yes, deeds, actions in the direction of advancing towards Lishma.

S. Is truly has to enter into a habit that we are constantly doing let’s say in the 10 to understand it?

R. Yes, yes, that this should be before you as the goal non-stop.

6. S. (13:15) What does it mean that a person can lose all of his work or miss all of his work?

R. That the person feels that all of the labour that he did over a few years is even willing; he is given such thoughts and desires from above that he is even willing to quit. They want to see how he will react how he will respond to that there are those who go out for some time sometimes a lot of time from the group from the work from the study. There are those who are there partially but there's nothing that you can do about it. A person here has to reach a decision, a serious personal decision, am I going for it all or otherwise I have nothing to do. And so many years go by in between them years where seemingly one does nothing, some sort of passive activity and then here comes back. Nevertheless here comes back. But there are such periods of time where a person feels that he truly cannot advance anymore but rather he comes to a stop. He does all of the things in a superficial way without truly investing in it from one day to the next new work.

S. He writes to do many deeds in Lo Lishma but what to answer to the claim that after all the actions are in Lo Lishma and they are in order to receive, so what is the benefit from them?

R. For sure if it's Lo Lishma it means in order to receive. Yes.

S. So it is clear to a person in a certain stage during the study that he has no benefit?

R. Why he does advance, he is advancing towards receiving Lishma. Lishma is the illumination from above that comes when he finishes his exertion in Lo Lishma that from Lo Lishma we come to Lishma.

S. What actions in Lo Lishma lead to Lo Lishma?

R. Connection, study, dissemination, everything that where he does what is good for his advancement and his environment, out of his environment.

S. And what to answer to the desire that comes and says however all these deeds are not with the intention, so?

R. Of course not, after the right intention but I want to reach a state where I will receive the right tension from above the intention in order to bestow; I cannot cook that inside of me bring it out from within me. I will get it from above after I will put in the required amount of exertion which is called quota then I will receive such a force from above and illumination from above that is called Lishma.

S. What's the difference between the deeds of Lo Lishma that lead to Lishma and deeds that are written about that are replaced that the Creator doesn't count them, and we learn that I person comes and does some kind of an action from the side of let's say he does it out of honor or to get a reward?

R. It doesn't matter which reasons in which intentions the person is doing it, maybe he understands that it truly comes to him from the will to receive the most raw crude will to receive or it comes to him from the will to receive that already a little bit is, how shall I put it, is concealed.

S. Let's say not too long ago we heard that the Creator says that he doesn't care if you slaughter from the neck or the back of the neck and it is only a matter of doing actions that are in order to bestow?

R. Yes, this means that we perform such actions in which there is no pure bestowal but out of us trying to perform them and we invest four seasons in it; we draw illumination from above it comes to us from as we call it because we don't have the vessels and we get a certain illumination out of it and bit by bit we come to for Lishma.

S. This attempt to bring this illumination what is this addition that needs to be added nevertheless?

R. That's I am aiming to reach pure bestowal inside of my group let's say within Beni Burch and in that I want that in my actions I want to bestow to everyone and everyone is also bestowing to me.

S. That's a wonderful intention the problem is that a person doesn't have such an intention?

R. Yes, but nevertheless the intentions they come bit by bit when a person realizes that he nevertheless has not yet reached Lishma but he has no choice but to think that way.

S. How nevertheless not to I don't know despair a person let’s say even though that I don't have such an intention like you're described but now that I want to reach a pure intention I want to help everyone and so on but rather I see that if it's not really my intention. So how do I nevertheless continue to do this action even though it's not Lishma it's clear?

R. You want to continue reaching Lishma in any way possible and even though you are depicting instead of the true Lishma a certain egoistic state but nevertheless it does promote you this is what it means from Lo Lishma we come to Lishma. So keep going the most important is to keep going anything but leave.

7. S. (20:53) How will we be certain that the action I am doing is truly an action against my ego?

R. I can't be certain. I am learning how to walk on the path so that each time I renew and I increase actions of Lishma, connections of bestowal let's call it, Lishma would be too much, actions of bestowal. I bestow to the group I bestow to the friends I give them I'm willing to contribute in any way that I can to the world Kli and in such a way as much as I'm capable of I do it. Then I hope very much that by that I am advancing the group that I am in to the Creator. That is all. Connection in the group in bringing the group closer to the Creator this is what we have to do.

8. S. (22:32) There's an emphasis in this excerpt in increasing in doing many works and you also talked about the number of actions. The emphasis in Lishma is quantity?

R. Quantity but also quality. We need to try to be in the right actions as complete as correct as possible. What can I say?

S. Let's say during the day throughout the day what should be the emphasis? How long I managed to hold on to a certain thought about the friends or the quality of the time that I am inside of that?

R. I need once in a while nevertheless to go back and think about the society, about the group, about the ten, and what they are doing and how I can be adhered to them and what do I do in order to advance them, my ten and also the entire group that I am in. Let's say, Bnei Baruch in Israel let's say and how do I even care for the entire international vessel the worldwide Bnei Baruch and I want to reach a state where everyone will feel everyone. This is clear?

9. S. (24:29) In this work you said we have to make a decision to go all the way to the end.  What does it mean that I have to come to such a decision?

R. It is not immediately but the more we enter into the study and into the group then we begin to feel that this thing it continues throughout all of this life and even beyond this life in future incarnations and who knows what happens beyond life. Meaning that I am entering a connection in the group of course I am not connected with the bodies and the faces but rather I am connecting with the desires of my friends and with those desires together we need to be in one desire, we call it one heart, and this is how we need to continue in this heart that is converged and arranged together in mutual complementation of each other that this is how we are going to go forward and this connection, but in general the connection between the souls it is eternal but we want to discover it and to bestow it so it will be revealed to everyone. Well trivial things.

10. S. (26:25) Something we talked about that with a friend which ends with everything but leave. With that we also learned that it needs to be in acceleration. this process. In spirituality it takes place in acceleration?

R. Well ok but as much as a person is capable.

S. It feels like there's a little bit of a clash because the concept of anything but leave can lead you to certain laziness.

R. Well let it be in laziness, let it be in laziness. I am not putting pressure on anyone, in spirituality there is no coercion.

11. S. (27:05) This decision along the way every friend takes it endless times. On the other hand there's this decision not to leave, on the other hand also on the other side we walk around in our world and we go with people and we see people that didn't succeed to withstand this, and you see and they know and they just know that there is no life besides it. What can we as a society do? What do we need to do to give them the place that shame won't defeat them that they won't miss out on anything else in life that they already missed so that they will be able to return to this place?

R. That I don't know I don't know I don't pull draw anyone as you know and the opposite I even push people, I reject people, it depends on a person on his character and anyone who wants to come back is not being welcomed with open hands and getting an entrance to get back but there's nothing you can do about it. A person has to decide and decide seriously, that’s it. It has to be serious. Right friend? Tell them how you came back.

12. S. (28:46) What it means the place of the Creator?

R. The place of the Creator?

S. Yes, the place where we reveal the Creator.

R. It’s the will to receive of a person who takes on the form of bestowal and discovers that this is the form of the Upper Force and then it adheres to Him seemingly rises to Him more and more.

S. How is this place created? How do we create this place?

R. The place of the Creator? We don't create it. it is the will to receive that exists before us.

S. So if it is the will to receive it exists before us…..

R. Sorry, sorry, it is the will to bestow, it’s the will to bestow that exists before us. This is why it is called Boreh, Creator, above that there is another force which we don't even know how to call it.

S. So why isn't it revealed if it is before us? Why isn't it revealed?

R. What will it be revealed? In which qualities of yours will it be revealed to you? It requires equivalence of form with something or at least to some extent.

S. So how do we create those qualities that He can be revealed in?

R. This is what we learn. This is called the wisdom of Kabbalah, reception. How to receive the revelation of the Creator to the created being in this world.

S. Okat, I can still see that you are working inside the will to receive. So what needs to be done so that these qualities will change, meaning how do you change your qualities?

R. Only through illumination from above. Only through an illumination from above that we receive and it is called Lishma.

S. Because it's very sharp from the study now, that specifically now, that from Lishma the study is completely different it's not the same study.

R. We started about a month or two ago, even less, to get into it. Yes this is a serious matter and it is a central one because we are truly learning the essence of the wisdom of Kabbalah, meaning how to shift from being the recipient to being the giver, the bestower, from being the created being to being as the Creator.

S. What's stopping a person from transitioning to that place where he can be a bestower?

R. His ego. It doesn't want to let him out; it holds him through all kinds of seductions.

S. It's clear, but we do have this tendency to want to leave, there is this point that wants to exit this point in the heart.

R. Yes, this is called the root of the soul, yes. One that has this point, the root of the soul, that he must reach the Creator then he no longer leaves he comes to the wisdom of Kabbalah and nevertheless he goes around until he gets the entry.

S. What do we do in this period against the ego that simply grabs you and doesn't let you leap forward?

R. The ego is showing you how much more you need to invest in order to get in, to in order to bestow, to Kedusha sanctity, to bestowal, to spirituality.

13. S. (33:02) It looks like I can only repent in the state of Lo Lishma when there is a state of fear, of losing all the work that I have done. How can we use this fear? What is this fear actually?

R. The fear of what? Of falling altogether on the path or falling into Lo Lishma?

S. The fear of losing let's say all the work that I have done? That brings me to the repentance when I read this from the article that there is a sort of let's say eight drive a lack that is starting to exist because I have a sort of fear of losing all of the work and that is the drive that makes me repent.

R. Well at least now you see your ego how much it is afraid of losing whatever it invested.

S. There can be a point of choice of losing everything. Is that an important point where I choose the Creator even if I lose everything?

R. We need to reach a state where we are willing to lose everything because in order to bestow it above that.

S. I need to go above the fear then?

R. Yes, yes. This is called in order to bestow meaning a person is willing to truly lose everything and advance in this way.

14. S. (35:32 ) Can we deepen this quality of bestowal? We say giving but even more to feel?

R. It is according to the spirituality of the person bestowal begins with us responding to others to a certain extent and it ends up with us having nothing left that we actually give everything, and by making ourselves a complete zero we reach the end of correction.

15. S. (36:44) Where do our efforts end, when we invest and don't receive anything in return? Where are all these efforts being lost? Is the place where all these efforts end finally help us? Like some walking stick when we have moments of difficulty?

R. Our efforts all connect, they accumulate and by them we get the upper spiritual degrees more and more as we make efforts we invite from above the forces in response they bring us greater disturbances, they elevate us to a higher degree and so on. Our efforts do not disappear, in general nothing disappears in the world. There is no absence.

S. When the spiritual degrees rise then the negative responses also intensify so how can I work with that opposite, the negative feelings do we manage to understand it? Do we actually advance with that? How much are we able to advance with these feelings?

R. We have no choice but to not forget that the more we ascend we will have more disturbances. We need to identify these disturbances and and to accept them as such that this is specifically a sign of advancement. This includes all the problems together in the work. at home in health, in every single thing. It's later we will see how this all accumulates and emerges from one source.

16. S. (39:52) It's a question that we worked on in the Ten before the lesson. This Lo Lishma that every friend has to reach in the Ten, how do we engage in that? How do we work with it in the Ten in order to advance to Lishma.

R. First we really need to come to Lo Lishma, you are right. As it is written that if a person would know what Lo Lishma is called he would think about it as an even higher thing than he thinks of for her sake being. Lo Lishma means that I want to carry out acts of bestowal which these actions are called a Mitzvah . When I perform these actions I also know that I am doing them in order to receive, that if it was truly in order to bestow that which doesn't belong to me whatsoever I wouldn't be capable of implementing it. To even come close to it. First of all I wouldn't even feel it in my vessels. Therefore, we need to agree that first of all we are entering Lo Lishma and from Lo Lishma, we come to Lishma. That's it.

17. S. (42:03) When you feel that you don't have any forces or any feeling, how not to fall in to look into all kinds of feelings of this world?

R. This I need to study myself and to come to a decision that I to the extent in which I am capable I don't fall to in order to receive, even though there too I am in order to receive. I didn't yet reach in order to bestow to Lishma, but anyway I am trying to sustain myself and hold myself before that above that.

18. S. (43:03) Can I ask about shame? What is the reason that shame comes after the four phases of direct light? What is the reason and the cause for the four phases of reflected lights?

R. Because that's how everything is structured. That shame is the feeling of self-reality relative to the bestowal and therefore that's how it comes to us and it guides a person, spins him in such a way and brings him and reforms him in that way.

S. Does shame cause self realization?

R. Yes.

19. S. (43:58) The question is if the Creator tightens the rope around us with the help of the will to receive, how can we feel and preserve or keep a friend guarding a friend who is in such a state?

R. Only through adhering to a friend can you feel what state is in either at least to awaken him to turn for help, for him to feel that you are close.

20. S. (44:51) The group is in full gratitude for the fact that through us you put us into the only work that is worth working in in this world, with the group we chose concrete days specific days in which we will work on Mutual annulment in order to build the revelation of the Creator. The women's Kli helps us greatly in dissemination.

R. We don't want to hear a report from your group if you want to ask a question.

S. What do we do in the work in order to reach Lishma?

R. You have already reached, from there you will reach Lishma.

21. S. (46:20) I come to a lesson and let's say I take an action that happens every day, I come to the morning lesson I can detect that most of the times either I come because of shame so they won't say that he didn't come or I come in order to really receive some new knowledge or new feeling, this intention how do I label it?

R. That you're studying the wisdom of Kabbalah and nothing else but the wisdom.

S. Is this called Lo Lishma?

R. Of course, it is so what? but you're nevertheless learning actions and of lights and vessels that all operate from their intention in Lo Lishma. That's how you're being told in order to bestow yes, Zivug de Hakaa and all such actions and then gradually just like he writes there, Baal HaSulam in the introduction, that a person who reads all these things evokes the light of bestowal. A person begins to feel that there is some change in him happening here and this change arrives through the reforming light which is during the time that he studies Torah. What is Torah considered? Where the illumination from above comes upon him, the light from above and then this is during his learning and he starts to feel that there is a difference between what he lives and the action that is being spoken about in the wisdom of Kabbalah, restriction, Zivug a screen, Etc.

S. I expect my intention from Lo Lishma to Lishma, these will be very gradual changes, a little bit it will bring me a bit more of Lshma a bit more because we say it's either this or that?

R. No, no, there's such a state that you somewhat feel Lishma and you're still wondering between this and that yes. Where you can at least understand what is being spoken about and from what degree it is talking about and you're starting to know more and more what in order to bestow is and that you're not in it, but you're probably you can imagine for yourself what it is considered to be in order to bestow

S. What is the first order in bestow that a person should aim for that he's realizing he's not just imagining that is in order to bestow because I can imagine many things that I'm doing in order to bestow ?

R. It's not the first but it's a certain kind of state that comes to a person and gives him the possibility to rise up and think outside of himself.

S. Where should I search for it? Where should I focus? Sometimes I feel like I'm searching beyond 360°.

R. No, there's nothing around you, you are simply observing the world with friends and yourself  where you want to feel the world with the attitude of bestowal. That you don't want to receive anything of it for yourself, that the main thing for you is to bestow to the friends, to see the group such that it will rise up to the highest height without you.

S. How does it happen for me? It feels to general to hear this, I want to be more focused where should I focus in order to the world they tend to bestow in general.

R. how do you want me to depict this to you there are no other words, On the contrary if you try to depict to yourself such states that you're in, outside of in order to receive that will help you

S. I'll give you an example, let's say I'm sitting in an example. What should I think about? I have the Ten around me. the world Kli, what should I be thinking of that will advance me the most or focus me the most towards the true Lishma?

R. That you're connecting with the friends and embracing the friends and all of you together want to rise to the degree of thought and calculation that is different, not in order to receive but in order to bestow. We don't have too many words for this, there are no words, you see us all before you and what the Kabbalist write as much as they can.

22. S. (52:52) What's missing is a certain measure of suffering in order for the body or for one to internalize in his body this thought and in his consciousness that there is no choice this is a situation and that's it.

R. That too is missing. Right.

S. In Rabash's article he also writes if your home burns , you don't think, you jump out of your house without your clothes, you don't think about anything so but only to save your life. How between us can we build this urgency, in this feeling that this is our life, our true life?

R. Talk between you and do I have nothing else to say.

23. S. (53.36) We realized already that to go out to for her sake we need the help of the friends but before you reach that the person doesn't know how to get this help and the heart doesn't know how to get forces.

R. He's not yet certain that he can't without it.

S. And seemingly if the ten wants to help, it doesn't matter if it knows how to or not but it has the desire to help but the friend doesn't know how to receive this help so both sides don't know to perform this action so how nevertheless does is it truly become help because otherwise it will not succeed or work.

R. What the mind doesn't do, time will do. There's nothing else I can do here or to answer, We are on the way we feel that we are advancing and we really are advancing but the help needs to come nevertheless from above, and we need to be connected in the form of this illumination, this help needs to come to us and to bestow upon us in a form that is as much as possible suitable to our structure.

S. It looks like the process of the person arriving to not for her sake seemingly also forces him to reach connection and they seem like two different things but these two things actually compel each other and necessitate each other what's the connection between one reaching for her sake and one reaching connection the ten?

R. Connection in the 10 is called Minyan. You know these things from the outside and the connection in the ten is truly the ten where everyone wants to be one in the place of the other and everyone together completes one another and compliments one another to a complete vessel.

S. It seems like this is the force that enables a person to reach for her sake that he depends on it and seemingly to reach for her sake we depend on our ability to be in this mutual guarantee to get it from each other to support each other.

R. Yes, without receiving from one another none of us have the complete force that is called connection the ten.

S. If as a ten we want to pray for those friends who are in this process, what do we ask the Creator for?

R. Ask the Creator only for unity.

S. And out of this Unity it will project in all the parts of the ten?

R. Yes.

24. S. (57:05) Over the years we perform many actions. We gave newspapers huge numbers of them, we had round tables, congresses and meals, clips and songs and a lot of dissemination on the internet and we perform many many actions here and in Israel and all over the world, all of the groups are invested, there is a feeling that in order to go out to bestowal and to get closer to it it takes the effort of everyone together and there is a feeling that we have to turn to the Creator and still we don't have this awareness that only he can help us and this is what we are missing.

R. Ask it, ask what you were missing, ask.

S. It's not enough that I will ask.

R. Ask for everyone that everyone will ask.

S. That's exactly my question. I don't even know how to ask it if that is what is missing.

R. That's not a question, that's laziness that you are being lazy.

S. Me? Just me?

R. It's not comfortable for you to turn to the friends and demand for connection.

S. So turning now to the entire world.

R. Not during the lesson.

S. Inside my heart.

R. In your heart you can address them.

25. S. (59:04) We have been talking since the beginning of the lesson that the fact that a person has to perform all these actions on the other hand he has to keep a point of zero and the third side he has to be in the constant request how do we put all these things on this straight line one line?

R. I don't know, talk between you and do.

S. How can I perform certain actions and not reach some pride but remain as a zero because all the actions that we perform, it brings you a feeling that you're making another effort and another effort.

R. Talk about that too. You are making certain topics to a conversation between you, to questions to me.

S. We talk about it all the time when we meet during the day we talk all the time so what are we missing and what other efforts should we make?

R. An effort to come closer.

S. What is this getting closer?

R. To come closer to one another to be as one man in one heart.

S. I've heard you so many times this is what we pray for all the time.

R. Yes, connect desires called the hearts called one desire and with that desire you turn to the Creator and demand for him to receive it.

S. This demand that you've said, when we finish our zoom meeting and our meetings were always in such demand, what is missing? How come it doesn't come out as one heart what else do we need in order for it to be one heart?

R. I don't know, ask the Creator, ask the Creator, what do you want from me? If I were to answer you now it will not to be help you if you remain to the with the question mark and compose these questions in these demands and bring them up to the Creator that will help so I'm not allowed to say because it will not help, it doesn't help, you only receive some let down from it.

S. And the entrance for for her sake is there some special prayer that a ten has to raise?

R. In short it's not important whatever you want to ask, ask of the Creator but together and you will see how much that he will not run away from answering that.

S. This together kind of gets a hold of him.

R. Yes.

26. S. (01:02:02) This refers also to doing it together, the prayer but also something that triggered me a lot is that a friend you gave the feeling of suffering in his state so how can we help a friend like that when we sense this when he expresses this? So how can we help him? To leave him in this state is that helpful? To leave him in the state that he has to work on himself or is there a lot of work for us to do to help the friend in his state?

R. It's not once that I'm hearing from the friends, all kinds of friends from different tens that specifically the short speeches of the friend awaken them, so continue, try to influence him and bestow to him and to hear back from him what the response is.

S. So the collective work is to pick it up if we want to or not and to scrutinize it, and to see if we can form a collective power, collective request from the Creator to help the friends from these states to be the host for the friends?

R. Yes.

S. So let's pray and help the friend and try to feel the friends who are in these states and help these friends to go above all their obstacles.

R. Yes, he is simply capable of expressing it in an emphasized way more than a regular person.

27. S. (01:04:14) When I ask for, for her sake am I asking for fuel?

R. No, when you're asking for Lishma you are asking to rise to the degree of pure bestowal.

S. And this is only because in Lo Lishma I don’t have this degree so I ask for Lishma it's not because in Lo Lishma I feel strangled or…?

R. If you want to bestow outward from yourself, to forget about yourself, to disconnect from yourself to an act of bestowal outside of you then you ask for the degree or the action called for her sake.

28. S. (01:05:10) What is the part of the friends and the ten in the entrance of each and every friend to Lishma?

R. Just like the men and also the women there's no difference here, and there's no crying out we are women, we're not men why do we need to be in Lishma? Everyone needs to reach Lishma, that's it, usually the women cry out why for us not and when they receive the possibility to advance then they stop, it's for everyone the same Torah.

29. S. (01:06:05) How not to remain in this transition between not for her sake to for her sake? What should we do so that the will to receive will stop controlling me all the time?

R. Just to connect with the friends and then together with them you will have the strength to turn to the Creator and ask for the force of bestowal.

30. S. (01:06:33) If I find myself in Lo Lishma and feel that I truly don't want to be in Lishma, is that normal?

R. It's normal, yeah, a person understands exactly the desire that's controlling him and it's okay

31. S. (01:07:10) Precisely when we get support from above we see that we cannot bestow like the Creator. Is it correct to say that each time we will fall from for her sake to not for her sake?

R. There are degrees that we will have to fall through and there are degrees that we will rise upon from degree to degree without falling.

Reading except number 13 (01:07:47): “Our sages said from Lo Lishma…”

32. R. (01:09:30) This is how do we call it when I go to this operation in my eye? The cataract, I have to go and replace the the lens, the cornea of my eye so that's it and then what I didn't see I will see what I didn't know that existed in I will see, something that needs to be done such an operation, may it be done on us.

33. S. (01:10:42) Give us the wealth of the next world. Is this considered in order to bestow or is this simply a more advanced degree of Lo Lishma?

R. We don't have the joy of the next world that we want to participate in all the actions of the degree of bestowal, the degree of Bina.

S. This is when I already asked Lishma?

R. Yes.

S. So we are in Lo Lishma. Is it important for me to try and scrutinize what kind of not for her sake in order to arrange for myself the…

R. No, that's not important if I know I'm in order to receive in Lo Lishma I need to perform actions in order to advance into the entry of Lishma.

S. But I have to organize for myself at least the pleasure in Lo Lishma but I know that I'm doing it in order to reach Lishma?

R. Those are the details, later, yes.

Reading excerpt number 14 (01:12:04): “Baal HaSulam said that in order to be rewarded...” twice

34. S. (01:16:06) It is written that he sees clearly how he goes on the path of lies and he begins to correct his actions, if a person sees that he goes on the path of lies and doesn't start correcting his actions?

R. Then he doesn't see the whole path of falsehood, of lies, he cannot agree to remain in the lie, he cannot, he already has actions that he's done before in preparations and support from the society etc. It's impossible that he sees that he is in falsehood as it is shown to him and agrees to remain, he wants to run away from everything he wants to, there are all kinds of states but to remain in it he cannot, it tears him to pieces.

35. S. (01:17:15) When a person is not for her sake he sees the flaw in his work, his nature and then he is required, he needs the help of the friends of Torah, of the friends, he feels that he needs a correction in order to bring him to for her sake and if he's in Lishma he doesn't require help not the help not the teacher not the Torah not the Creator nothing so why should he strive towards a state where he doesn't have any work?

R. I don't understand what you're saying.

S. As long as a person is in the study he sees the difference between the states and he is required to and he's asking for this help and he expects a cure, a remedy, and let's say that he bridges the gap and he reaches Lishma then he doesn't need a remedy.

R. Because for example he reached the first degree of Lishma.

S. Yes, so why yearn for this state where he has no work?

R. He will be given work it's just like in this world in order to receive just like you get a new will to receive you see new gains and you want them in Lishma too, the Creator shines and you see illumination from a higher degree because in every state where you're receiving those a part of the next state and then you yearn for it.

S. So one degree will be completed and then another chapter of the revelation of evil?

R. Absolutely, yes because in each degree there's also the beginning of the next degree.

S. So again why yearn for a state where you work and work and work?

R. You cannot not yearn because it's in you and in every degree you have GE from a higher degree, this is how it's built to begin with otherwise you would remain in it. Say, for example, animals or people that don't have a point in the heart they have no connection to the next degree so they are in whatever state they are in.

S. How do you develop motivation to want something that you don't know what it is?

R. It doesn't matter if you have or don't have an idea. It's like a little child and he suddenly gets a crush on something and he cries for it and he yells for it and screams.

S. But is there some imagination or something?

R. Nothing you try to explain to him that there's nothing to it there's no point and it's irrelevant, he just screams and grabs you and pulls you there.

S. Where can we develop this yearning not just from the mouth outwards?

R. Through the Ten.

S. Do they know something I don't?

R. No, not more than you.

S. How can we cook something in the Ten where no one knows where it is?

R. What your friend has, what you think your friend has, this is what pulls you.

S. I need to depict that they are in Lishma and only I will want to be and then the Creator will make it inside of me?

R. Yes, you're constantly in doubt, they are already in Lishma and I am not. Envy, lust and honor bring a person out of the world.

36. S. (01:21:31) What in the end causes the will to receive, pharaoh to throw a person from in order to receive?

R. In order to receive?

S. From in order to receive?

R. What causes the pharaoh to take a person out of Egypt from his control, he gets a command from the Creator, what do you think? Who is pharaoh, Pharaoh is the Creator's servant.

S. Yes, but what brings him to that state that a person that the Creator commands him?

R. This is how he is built, how he was created.

S. Yes but is there some limit to the work of a person that the pharaoh can't put up with and he lets him go?

R. Even what he does,he does because the Creator compels him.

S. It comes out that the person obligates the Creator?

R. Yes.

S. How can we obligate the Creator so he obligates pharaoh?

R. Perform acts of connection so you will be closer to the Creator and his acts of connection will force all the good forces to promote you toward the purpose of creation.

S. Where everyone wants the connection in the Ten and in  this he obligates the Creator?

R. Yes, bit by bit it will settle into your hearts, into your minds, into the habit, into everything.

S. I wanted to ask what is the biggest lo Lishma? The biggest not for His name?

R. The biggest Lo Lishma, I cannot right now, the biggest Lo Lishma is in order to receive when I have an opportunity to do the same thing in order to bestow but I choose in order to receive, so you could say, it's a possibility that comes before the great correction before the end of correction. The darkness, the darkness of Egypt and such things.

S. Why does he writes that in order to merit Lishma there needs to be the biggest Lo Lishma?

R. Because you always discover the back of the degree and then its front its face. That's how you elevate yourself.

S. How from the posterior you make an action towards the face of the degree?

R. Only through the light that comes, first you get a desire and the light that advances the desire sanctifies it and then you rise to the anterior.

S. But the desire that grows grows in an opposite way?

R. It doesn't matter, so what?

S. How does this holiness, how do you sanctify the desire so that it works in order to bestow ? Because what's revealed to you is the opposite?

R. If you don't have an order to receive, then he can't turn it into an order to bestow. Do you understand.

S. This is clear but how do you obligate the action of it in order to bestow from an order to receive?Because what grows always is in order to receive so how from it in order to receive constantly growing suddenly happens in order to bestow?

R. Reforming light.

S. The transition is not up to us, we don't have any control of the transition in order to bestow.

R. We draw it through all kinds of prior actions, we draw it so it doesn't come by itself.

S. What does it mean we draw it and we invite? Because the desire grows ,it always grows in an opposite way, so what does it mean that we are attracted to draw it?

R. Through the connection between us through prayers through troubles and problems we feel all of those things sanctify the will to receive that is now being revealed as a posterior of a higher degree and we turn into the interior through prayers and through connections between us.

37. S. (01:26:55) What comes after Lishma?

R. Nothing, there are only two degrees, in order to receive and in order to bestow, in the in order to receive there are two degrees and in order to bestow there are sub-degrees, and we just have to go through them but from the biggest in order to receive, we rise to the in order to bestow, the biggest degree in order to bestow.

S. Let's say there are degrees as if you come to Lishma and then you come to a new state of Lishma from a new state Lo Lishma again to a new degree of Lishma. It looks like that. Is that true? Are there degrees in that?

R. You could put it this way and if it's in the meantime easier to picture things this way, so be it. For now, each degree begins Lo Lishma and then we correct it into Lishma.

38. S. (01:28:33) You told the friend that to correct his actions practically, is to connect with the friends. Maybe this is the stage where a person reveals that all of his actions are a lie and reveals how to work in faith above reason?

R. Yes.

S. It doesn't begin the first stage in gratitude for those who reveal all of those lies to him?

R. You want to connect what you learned before and remember from before to what we're learning today. It will confuse you.

S. What is correcting his actions?

R. What he's writing now, what you see today and take this into account, accept this and not what you had or wrote a year ago.

S. That's what I asked: what does it mean to correct his actions and what he's writing here?

R. Understand what he's writing, to what extent you belong to it and how to come closer to it. That's it.

39. S. (01:30:10) A practical question about prayer, yesterday in the evening Zoom there was greatness and importance and then we did an exercise about praying because together you succeed more, maybe. And somehow a decision reached by the attendees and there was an inner battle that didn't allow you to pray?

R. Beautiful.

S. Explanation why you need to pray and who you pray to and what you say and what you're asking for. So the practical question, your tip: how do you overcome this wave of the attack by the ego and reach a prayer?

R. Do you think that if I knew I would tell you?

S. Is it something that we can use and means not necessarily how to do it but some means that will gradually [...]

R. Grab the friends.

S. We were together in the Zoom?

R. If you were together it's impossible that you had a disruption.

S. So probably we were not together?

R. There's more to do in the present state, this is why you feel the flaws in connection in this way.

S. Meaning there’s a part of the preparation for the prayer it still has to be [...]

R. I don't know the preparation, you're answering instead of me. I cannot say. I don't agree or do agree but you see, I'm not giving you an answer, just as before, you come with a recipe already, with a prescription.

40. S. (01:32:10) Here it's written that they need to prepare the biggest Lo Lishma? What is it in our work?

R. That you will see how much you are in the intention to receive.

41. S. (01:32:45) We are saying that a person in Lo Lishma is recognizing that he's working for his own sake and it gives him strength in order to move in the direction of Lishma. And today he got a warning not to fall into reception, how to use the forces of reception and not fall into reception?

R. Continue and do more actions and out of that we will advance towards Lishma in the meantime, do more actions and activities.

S. What does it mean the danger to fall into reception?

R. If we were in Lishma we would be able to fall into Lo Lishma but we are still Lishma and therefore, we need to just do more activities so it will bring us closer to Lishma.

42. S. (01:34:05) What is this necessary measure of revelation of the lie in order to transition Lo Lishma to Lishma

R. That I cannot tolerate the situation I am in.

43. S. (01:34:30) When the work in Torah becomes a habit, this habit is before Lo Lishma or is it a small Lo Lishma?

R. It's like people who believe; it's like religious people.

44. S. (01:35:15) How do you deepen the thought of the tens so that it's not just a thought that is flat but to have some feeling and some depth?

R. It depends on the heart of the participants, it comes from the feeling. We have to try to think through the feeling to connect the mind and the heart.

S. But say, during the lesson my entire ten isn't here but I got used to thinking about them and before I wasn't able to and now I can see them in some way but I don't have any feeling: how do I develop this thing, how do I hear them?

R. I don't know, speak to them, ask them to get up. I understand that for women it might be tough, in the end they are a lot busier than men, so I don't know what to do.

S. There is such a thing that is called an inner hearing, to hear the friends from inside?

R. But it's still not for us for now and you cannot rely on it.

45. S. (01:36:55) How does any feeling of corporeal reception turns into spiritual bestowing?

R. I don't know, it's through the reforming light, it comes and turns everything and changes everything. How can that be? Just like switching on the lights and the light switch and the whole room becomes lit.

S. The light that is in the ten?

R. Yes.

46. S. (01:37:45) The transition from my own sake through what, through a person leaning on the Creator?

R. It all happens inside a person only when a stronger, Upper Light shines on him. That's it.

47. S. (01:38:25) I wanted to ask you about when you said: why do you turn to me with these questions, talk amongst yourselves.

R. I think perhaps I don't know how much you would be interested but you need to resolve these problems and these questions within the groups because by this you'll have more advancement and you'll go deeper, but if you still cannot, then turn to me, for lack of other choices. I still nevertheless hope that a time will come when you can, through the connection between you, through the connection between you, you'll be able to resolve the questions.

S. How do you see that and what does that mean to solve amongst us?

R. When you speak among yourselves and each one listens to his friends and joins what he hears in his friend and in the end, the ten that is corrected on a certain level is ready to also resolve questions that come from a higher degree.

S. Is the ten capable of arriving and receiving a full answer to the question?

R. Yes, because it's a ten.

S. When do we turn to the Rav?

R. You don't need the Rav, by this, they themselves become the Rav, they are called the Rav.

48. S. (01:40:15) What turns us, Bnei Baruch,  in the eyes of the Creator to merit to be worthy of Lo Lishma and come out of Egypt?

R. Devotion, devotion, from between us to Him.

S. What causes a person to change his perception and see everything as a good response from the Creator?

R. What causes a person, again?

S. What causes a person to change his perception and see in everything that is happening to us as good responses from the Creator?

R. Nearing the Creator, getting closer to the Creator, if I understand you correctly; getting closer to the Creator.
