R. Still there are no questions, keep going.

The Externality Rule When Israel Do Not Demand Depth in Their Work” (01:54 - 03:39)

1. S. (03:53) What is he actually saying here?

R. According to the title it's more clear, the externality rule when Israel do not demand depth in their work, that whoever has a tendency for correction, for the end of corrections, for connection, he also doesn't demand it in all his forces, and doesn't demand for it to come in order to bestow here and now on the depth of his entire vessel.

S. Is a person or nation capable of being in a state all the time?

R. If such a desire awakens and he feels that desire and he's incorporated in it, so you know just like children, sometimes they can cry half a day, why? Because he thinks it's right, and otherwise he won't attain what he wants, and his desire doesn't disappear. So he keeps realizing it, the same thing here. The externality are in control, the external ones, and by this they don't demand depth but constantly demand their own, what they think they deserve.

2. S. (05:31) Why does he call the upper roots, ‘externality’?

R. Because that's what they demand, according to their demand, they don't ask for adhesion but external.

S. The upper roots aren’t the ones that are closer to bestowal, I don't understand.

R. Look what's written.

3. S. (06:13) Only Israel can contain these two qualities of both the nations and Israel, and the ones that only have one quality are ‘the nations of the world’?

R. Yes.

4. S. (06:31) What's the connection between the upper roots and the concept of ‘a servant’, ‘a slave and a handmaid’?

R. I guess we'll learn about it later, for now, there's not enough material here to explain it.

5. S. (07:12) Are the nations of the world aware of who Israel is, and what its purpose is in the spiritual life?

R. Ask them, I don't think there's someone who knows in a clear manner who Israel is, what they exist for, why, what their qualities are, what they need to do in the world, and so on, no. These things aren't there, even if you ask Israelis, Jews, they also don't know; also, not only the others, these things are unknown.

6. S. (08:23) He writes here that “they intermingled with the nations and learned from their actions”, on the level of actions, how to understand this?

R. That if we're not okay we just descend to the degrees of nations and start learning from them, from their goals and values, until we become like them.

S. And what is the depth that “they don't demand depth in the work”?

R. In order to bestow, they don't demand depth, it's somehow enough to just, maybe use in order to bestow, which is bestowing in order to receive, maybe, it's not important for us. That's actually called, “Israel that are in exile”.

7. S. (09:26) What exactly is that poison, this most dangerous and terrible poison, that destroys the souls of Israel?

R. That dangerous poison is that lie on the spiritual path, that Israel grab on to it and start clothing in it.

8. S. (10:05) What is idol worship?

R. It's the ones who aren't aimed correctly towards the purpose of creation.

9. S. (10:29) Several mothers from the Kli have turned to me and have a question: We have in the Kli, many mothers who have children that are in the battlefield in the South and the North, without any connection for several days now. And according to the evaluation, looks like this war is going to be long, how do we as one please support the mothers to keep their conviction and strength to deal with all that, how can we all support them?

R. We need to connect, build systems, circles, that whoever can come out on a leave, so they can come or you can take the mothers there to visit, and maybe not only mothers, the families, to the place where children serve. You have to be more connected, I think it's possible.

10. S. (12:02) All these external sources of knowledge, we once had these Reporters’ Meetings that Chaim would bring us things from America, and now knowing how Rav looks at this reality, this complex reality, it’s very difficult. That was, like, my news source, that was my way to know what I should put an emphasis on what's happening in the world. It's such important times where Shelly did and everything's missing here. So if you can ask to, urgently, bring back the Reporters’ Meetings.

R. I don't know, I think about it together, you have the management here, and make a decision. I don't think that there's a real need for it, but maybe, yes; maybe talk to Moshe and all the management and those that who participated back then, please?

11. S. (13:23) ‘The authority of the external ones’, is that something we have to just go through as souls.

R. Yes.

S. How do we not get stuck there?

R. More connection with one another.

12. S. (13:45) How do I ask for the necessities of a friend, how do I scrutinize that the intention is internal and not external?

R. Feel the friend more.

13. S. (14:02) When corporeality controls my mind, I feel that it, that I just flow with it, that I can't stop myself. So how can the impact that corporeality has on me, how does it give me so much energy that my point in the heart will feel helpless?

R. I don’t know what?

S. If corporeality has such an impact on me in such a powerful way, how can I overcome that because the point in the heart feels helpless, the point in the heart has no power?

R. No power, so you have to connect to your friends and together ‘one will help his friend’; obviously you won't have the powers. A person on his own cannot do it so in the beginning of the path, the person gets all kinds of support but eventually you need to see that he's unable to do anything. And that, it's in order for a person to turn to the ten and ask them for support.
