Part One:

Baal HaSulam. Shamati 72. Confidence Is the Clothing for the Light

1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes, it’s a very special article that explains to us even more what is the meaning of Lishma and how we acquire through our exercises this quality of Lishma, and it is giving us the feeling of confidence. So, what's the connection between confidence and Lishma? Why is the confidence of clothing for the light? Why if we lack the clothing, we can't reveal the upper Light? Only in this clothing, the light is revealed.

Reading Article. (01:13) “Confidence is the clothing for the light called life...”

2. S. (08:41) What is this confidence that comes to a person, the clothing for the light, what is it, a force?

R. It's a force of bestowal that comes from the Creator and gives a person the strength to be above his egoistic nature.

S. It's written here that a person can use the forces above human forces.

R. These are forces that are above human nature, human nature is the will to receive and here it is the will to bestow.

S. With that a person feels himself confident when he feels the force of bestowal?

R. Specifically then he feels confidence.

S. Many people now are in despair due to the situation of what is happening. Can we tell them that the moment you touch the quality of bestowal?

R. No, no, no. We can't promise to a person, we can't promise to a person that by making certain actions he will immediately receive confidence, the sense of confidence. No! He, all in all, needs to understand the principle and later on he will need to work and not immediately, not immediately he will receive the force of confidence, the force of faith.

3. S. (11:02) How can we keep this force of confidence and vitality in our ten when constantly disturbed by the evil inclination?

R. This is through exercises where we constantly want to be above our will to receive as much as we can. Especially in the connection between us, and from the connection between us to the Creator as much as we wish to advance in that direction that force of confidence, force of faith will grow in us until we begin to feel in it the revelation of the Creator, the revelation of the upper Light.

S. Where do we recognize this when this vitality drops? Can you be before that before the force of confidence drops away? Can you keep on being in full confidence all the time?

R. If we don't have confidence how can we make any actions without confidence, without faith? That's really the power of faith.

S. Can you be in it before? How do you know before it drops away? What are the actions that we should do that it will not drop away, the force of confidence, that it will only grow?

R. If I'm devoted to connection between the friends more than I belong to myself, that's the beginning of confidence.

4. S. (13:28) I have a question about vitality. In the article, it writes that this vitality points to the confidence that a person has in himself. But at a certain point, a person understands that he cannot have any confidence in himself, he doesn't have any power. Everything is done by the Creator, but how would you describe this point of vitality that it is not so much about confidence in himself but that he feels that there is something else that is guiding him, because a person can be, feel low, be like a rag but he still can be in a state of confidence. How do we relate to vitality in this case?

R. On the one hand, he is confident about the Creator because he has a certain connection with the Creator, and then by that he’s holding himself, he's not holding to his own confidence, he’s holding to the confidence that comes to him because he is tied to the Creator. Okay.

5. S. (15:40) How to get the reason of holiness from the Creator, how to know that the Daat the reason of Kedusha comes to a person?

R. The reason of sanctity comes to a person when he develops a certain faith in the Creator, and then the Creator ties to him in return with the power of faith.

S. Does this come from believing in the faith of sages?

R. That might be something else. We are speaking of the Creator. Faith in the sages is another facet altogether.

6. S. (16:49) Confidence is a gift that we receive within reason so that the reason will bother us to work?

R. No, reason is reason and confidence is confidence. Reason comes to a person when he works with his intellect, his feeling, with his experience, everything he’s got. Faith is the power above reason. It comes to him when he receives this connection with the Creator and then he receives from the Creator the force of bestowal, then it's giving him this shared power with the Creator, common power with the Creator that he feels that he is above his nature.

S. But the confidence itself is within reason or it is above reason already?

R. Confidence is above reason.

7. S. (18:10) In the fourth paragraph he explains that when the light of vitality departs from him it becomes clever, investigative, inquisitive and he starts to check the profitability of everything he does. When a person is working in the ten does he feel like he falls to the place where the light of life departs from him?

R. When he's connected to the ten?

S. Does he feel that the light departs from him?

R. Why would he feel this way?

S. Whether a person who is connected to the ten, how does he identify that he is in the state in which he is clever and inquisitive and how does he feel that the light of life is departing from him, can he identify it?

R. If a person is connected to the ten, to that extent he feels that he is in the force of bestowal, the force of faith that he is above his corporeal reason and he is already in his spiritual reason and that's how he advances.

S. Can he identify on his own that he’s in his corporeal reason or not?

R. He identifies by himself, no one needs to tell him this, no one.

8. S. (19:57) We learned that for the light to clothe we need a vessel of bestowal, and here he writes that confidence is the vessel. What's the connection between confidence and the vessels of bestowal?

R. It's the same, only the discernments are called this way. If a person is in vessels of bestowal accordingly, he has the power of confidence, he's got the connection with the Creator, and he identifies with the Creator, as the equivalence of form with the Creator.

S. What's the connection between the growing confidence in the ten between the friends and this we are talking about, it's not the same thing I'm guessing?

R. What confidence there exists between the friends.

S. As time passes you feel safer and confident that you are coming to the friends and that you receive the forces to be connected to the goal?

R. This has nothing to do with spirituality, this can happen in any other group as well.

S. So how from this state do we rise to something that is spiritual?

R. By trying to be connected between us, and all the time we are growing the amount of connection, the amount of devotion between us, dedication more and more.

S. It’s like you said it happens in many other groups. What is that spice, that thing that will make these actions, this connection between us that is seemingly physical to something spiritual?

R. Physical connection is like in a group, even a group of soldiers. They are devoted to one another, and they understand that their security, confidence, and security depends on the connection between them, whereas a spiritual connection is where everyone depends on the connection between them and to the Creator, and the Creator keeps them connected and He contains them with the light that shines in them.

S. If so, in what is a person confident?

R. What is he confident about? He is confident only to the extent that he is in contact with the upper force, to that extent he's confident, secure, and safe. To the extent that he can be in the appeal to the upper force to hold onto Him.

S. When we say that confidence is the clothing to light what confidence do they mean?

R. We refer to the light that comes from the Creator, and in this light, a person feels a connection with the Creator.

S. Yes but the confidence that is the clothing for this light, what confidence is that? It is written that the confidence is the clothing for the light, right? What confidence is there for the clothing of the light?

R. The person’s feeling that he belongs to a higher power, to the Creator. That he reaches through his devotion to the Ten, brings him to spiritual security.

S. So, what does it mean that he belongs to the group?

R. That's everyone is in soul devotion.

9. S. (24:53) When one comes to purify is aided, this confidence is intensified until the assistance, or does it deteriorate and then there is assistance from above?

R. No, that depends on the person, as much as a person reinforces confidence depending on how much he wants to be adhered to the friends and in the Creator.

10. S. (25:40) Today in the morning lesson I heard that we are like clay in the hands of the Maker, of our Creator, so how can we build the confidence correctly when we are still within vessels of reception?

R. We want to be as close as possible to the Creator all the way up to complete soul devotion, constantly be adhered to Him more and more, that’s it. And then we advance to the complete soul devotion.

S. What is the connection between the light of life and the point in the heart?

R. We feel the upper light through a desire called a point in the heart. It's a deficiency that we grow a deficiency for bestowal, for adhesion with the Creator. Through this deficiency, we acquire connection with the Creator.

11. S. (27:45) The connection between the light of Hochma that clothes the light of Hassidim, and here it says that the light clothes in the confidence, so can we say that the light here, the light of Hassidim is confidence?

R. Yes.

12. S. (28:30) At the end of the first paragraph it says that the confidence means that he sees that he can do every difficult thing. What are these difficult things? Is it just overcoming the ego?

R. Of course, it all clothes in the desire, but this desire with the help of the Reforming Light becomes the desire to bestow. In this way, we feel changes in our life. Okay.

13. S. (29:50) This confidence stems from us connecting and raising some prayer above us then some flavor, and taste is immersed in us. What makes the difference that one friend feels the confidence after a meeting and there's a friend that doesn't feel the confidence? What's the difference in the work of the person towards that meeting, that one came out of confidence, and one didn't?

R. It all depends on how much he is searching to have vessels of bestowal, as much as he is devoted to the ten, dedicated to the ten, to that extent here he approaches the feeling of confidence.

S. Is there a way that a friend can pass this confidence to another friend?

R. No, no, that's impossible. But he can give external examples.

S. So it's like a certain compass to a person whether you are connected to the Creator or not?

R. You can say it like that.

14. S. (31:14) During the preparation, this point of confidence, that first point comes from importance and annulment?

R. Importance and annulment in the connection with the friends.

15. S. (31:42) My greatest confidence is in reason, which is the friends and Rav. The greatest confidence and security is that I can pass all the obstacles and disturbances. Is that faith above reason? Can we say that that is confidence?

R. Yes, it depends only on the connection with the friends.

16. S. (32:25) What's the difference between confidence and faith? How in the ten, in the Arvut between us do we take this direction of the Upper Force?

R. If the power of light and the confidence that clothe in this power in this light. There's such a book of the vision of a man of Faith and Confidence. You can get it and you can find it among the holy books and read it. I don't think it's so easy, but it is written in Hebrew and it's worthwhile to read it.

S. The Arvut between us creates a certain confidence in the Creator and how does it do it?

R. Our Arvut, mutual guarantee depends on the connection between us and with the Creator.

17. S. (33:57) We have come to the preparation to the lesson and we hear Rabash's voice, this feeling of confidence awakened in us. We see you and that confidence even intensifies. Now we are connecting with the friends and we feel it even more. Then when you want to pass this confidence to the friends, you lose the confidence because then you feel that your lowliness, your lack of importance. How to aim the prayer, that it won't be in you but passing it to the group?

R. The thing is that corporeal confidence is opposite to spiritual confidence. Corporeal confidence depends on how safe you feel yourself, and spiritual confidence it's felt according to how much you can hold onto the friends and through them to the Creator, and that's the difference. Try each time to feel the difference between one and the other. Okay.

18. S. (35:26) Is the request for confidence a correct one?

R. Yes, yes.

S. Is the request for confidence already the clothing for the light?

R. No, the request has to be there.

S. Can there be an example for a request for something on the path?

R. No, I have no example that I can share with you.

19. S. (36:15) How does the light of life clothe a person? Throughout his advancement or after exertion?

R. During the advancement, yes.

20. S. (36:42) I am supposed to give confidence to the friends in the ten that the Creator gives light to receive the confidence. How to do this more in the ten?

R. To pass it to the friends, pass it to the friends.

21. S. (37:13) As much as I understood from the text it explains there that reason adapts itself to the new spiritual state. Why does a person become clever and inquisitive when it is written that the light of life departs from him?

R. Because he is starting with his corporeal mind to hold himself, to keep himself alive, and that's why he becomes smart and investigative as if he feels and understands and that is how he is holding on to life, and that is the opposite to what is happening in above reason and in faith.

22. S. (38:37) How to give confidence to one another in these days?

R. In all days, it doesn't matter which we have to provide confidence to one another. How should I put it so that each one should show that he is full of confidence and that's what he needs to convey to the friends.

S. At what point is this confidence working? How to characterize it?

R. That we are in the Creator's hands.

S. Is there a certain point that we should emphasize the greatness of the Creator, the importance of the goal, the faith in his teacher, the greatness of the friends, and the righteousness of the path? What should we lean on?

R. This confidence leans on the fact that There Is None Else Besides Him.

23. S. (39:55) They say that there is none wiser than one with experience. On the other hand, this state of life experience is a state that is opposite the confidence from the reason of the Creator?

R. No, that's incorrect. Specifically, experience in life brings a person to the correct attitude toward life, even when he is in doubt about his own powers.

24. S. (40:47) It is written that I will have the force of Kedusha and then I will have what to answer you. What do we need to answer the body for and what should we answer it?

R. Then we will know, then you will have an opportunity, you have power, confidence, wisdom how to answer your body, your mind. Okay.

25. S. (41:17) What I understand correctly is when a person has faith above reason in the Creator that the Creator can help etc., then confidence begins to shine to him.

R. Yes.

S. The next question: We have a friend who is in a very extreme, harsh, difficult state because of a disease. He is truly between life and death. We talked about this in the whole ten and we see that he's in a certain lack of faith, and despair, and this is actually what is making his state worse and he's deteriorating because of it. What to do? Until he receives this confidence for himself towards the future, then there is no vitality. What can we do with it?

R. Only prayer for him. Ask the Creator to bring him back to normal life, that's it.

S. Shall we try somehow to talk to him?

R. No, no need to talk to him, to burden him, no. It's better that you do this work for him in his place; turn to the Creator in his name.

26. S. (43:01) What is soul devotion?

R. Soul devotion is something that cannot be explained. It's when a person is prepared to give to the Creator everything including his soul. It's not for us just yet.

27. S. (43:47) We say that the Creator does everything, so should we think that we are all puppets of the Creator, also the friends? There's the environment and there's the Creator, so I need to have faith or confidence in the system?

R. We need to see ourselves in the hands of the Creator on the one hand, and on the other hand, we can reach a state where we will be independent.

28. S. (44:28) What’s demanded of us so that the Creator will hold us, our ten so that there will be a spiritual connection?

R. You need this group between you, that you'll be connected in the hearts, one with the other, and in this mutual embrace with one another, and when you feel yourselves as such a ten, then you will be able to turn to the Creator regarding this common work.

S. Can we refine the question about the faith in the sages the friend from Azerbaijan asked? When we read the sources, we can feel the force of faith in the sources that accompanies us all the time. How to not lose it but rather add in it, and can we add in faith in the sages?

R. Of course you can if you hold on to one another. Clear, right?

29. S. (45:50) It is written when a person begins to think about everything for the benefit to himself point of view, he becomes more black. What does it mean not to be burning in the work?

R. To analyze your state and check what he is yearning for.

30. S. (46:27) When does the Creator give that feeling of confidence? When he gives that feeling how to make the most of that feeling and bring it to the friends or pass it on to them?

R. To pray for the friends.

31. S. (47:00) That feeling of confidence is assimilated in the ten, there's this feeling of falling into the hands of the group, meaning you’re certain that you can fall, and they will catch you and uplift you, and the Creator will lift you through the friends. Is that the feeling of confidence, the vessel of confidence, or is that corporeal confidence?

R. It doesn't matter, start from any kind of confidence as long as you connect yourself more and more to the group.

S. When we feel a descent it is very important for us to use this state in order to use the group. It's for this we are given descents in all the states. It is so important for the Creator for us to turn to the group, right?

R. Yes.

32. S. (48:07) Now in Israel I feel the suffering of the society, of our people and I understand that the only way out is connection between us and the strengthening of the bonds and the connection in the ten. We pray that through this suffering we will have the feeling that only the ten can save us and the confidence that the ten gives us. We come to the ten and we feel like it's this iron dome that's protecting us. How can we help our people and ourselves overcome all these difficulties and come to this connection between us?

R. Only with our appeal to the Creator, only with our appeal to the Creator.

33. S. (49:05) I always try to join the group and do everything that the Kabbalists recommended, but I feel like I’m in a hole where I cannot feel the boundaries. How can we cross the limits of my ego? How can I escape?

R. Only through more connection with the ten, only through additional connection with the ten.

34. S. (50:00) Is man, is it necessary for a person to lose his confidence and come out of sanctity to start life again every day?

R. Of course the Creator is doing that all for him.

35. S. (50:24) I asked you once what does it mean to be confident in myself. There is this expression: don't believe in yourself until the day that you die, and you gave me a very deep answer. When it comes you will feel it and I feel that I believe my ten more than I believe myself because I have these states of instability, they change often and my friends are already in bestowal, and I need only to add my vessels of bestowal to the general vessel and through them I will acquire my personal confidence. Is that correct?

R. It's like that.

36. S. (51:23) What's the role of evil and how to connect it correctly to faith?

R. The role of evil is to bother you so that you will upon it strengthen the connection with the Creator through the group.

S. How to do it correctly?

R. How to do that correctly start doing it and you will see. I hope the Creator will aim you and guide you.

37. S. (52:15) It says when he is on the level of life the confidence shines to him. What is this level of life for elevation of life?

R. When a person wants to go a little more above reason. Then the confidence uplifts him.

38. S. (52:48) How can we feel confident and be partners with the Creator if we don't understand how He is working and it’s hard to justify Him?

R. It's not important, but we don't know this, but through the friends, through the connection with the friends we come closer to this and start to feel it. The main thing is feeling.

39. S. (53:18) You answered one of the friends that confidence is given to us so we would lose it every once in a while. The confidence is described as a point of life, the power of life. Is that so you will constantly annul it inside of us?

R. Cancel it and attain a new feeling.

40. S. (53:55) For confidence to never depart do I always need to adhere to the ten? Every time I don't understand or something like that, that’s the time to cleave to the ten. That's the time to be in connection? I can't grasp it.

R. It is always a time to adhere to the ten. There is no time to adhere and not a time to adhere, but to adhere permanently, always.

41. S. (54:39) Is confidence a power that is born out of the moment where all the circumstances and all the states work against you? Is it a power that pushes you to raise you above reason?

R. That happens.

S. And Is it a certain constant measure?

R. No, no, it happens.

42. S. (55:12) What's the difference between we connect between us, and the Creator is connecting us?

R. We cannot connect between us; we don't have the force of connection. Only according to our request, our prayer, the Creator does this.

S. But how is this addition of the Creator influencing us? How is this understanding influencing our lives because people, the regular reality, think okay, we will connect? What is this addition of the Creator, and how is that making a difference?

R. We need to constantly be with our face to the Creator, with our prayer to the Creator to connect between us. That's it, and when He connects, He should be between us. He will be between us; that's called that He’s connecting.

S. And people outside who don't study, they should also hear about this condition, the Creator’s glue, or is it enough for us to say, “Let's connect between us?”

R. It's enough to connect.

43. S. (56:44) Confidence typically comes when we overcome certain obstacles. The more disturbances we have the greater the confidence grows in us. Should we look for those disturbances to overcome?

R. We don't need to search for disturbances to overcome, but we need to understand that overcoming disturbances is not possible to be done without the help of the Creator. We are not capable of performing any acts of overcoming without the help of the Creator and that's the only thing that it depends upon, the help of the Creator. Clear?

44. S. (57:42) A while ago you said that we can turn to the Creator on behalf of a friend. The question is can we always pray to the Creator on behalf of the friend or only when the friend doesn't have the powers of his own?

R. Always, always.

45. S. (58:10) Can we say that I am playing with the Creator, and I often lose in this game and I get despaired from these states, and in this way comes this feeling, the insult of losing will get me lost, and then the Creator gives us a chance to win this war? Can you say that we receive the confidence from the connection with the Creator in this way?

R. Yes.

46. S. (58:57) How can we always remain confident that the Creator is with us if we are constantly in this inner struggle, how not to surrender to our ego?

R. By us holding onto one another, then we can't fall into our egos.

S. Is confidence an inner type of peace?

R. No, no. Confidence is the form of our grip onto the Creator.

47. S. (01:00:04) In our ten a very unpleasant situation took place a few months ago. Several friends have left us, but as a result, it brought us closer. We became stronger, we felt this confidence. A huge degree of confidence in one another and the Creator and everything we are doing in all those years. Confidence in Bnei Baruch, in our spiritual advancement, and now times are difficult, but we still have this feeling of confidence that is helping us each and every day. How to advance in this feeling, how to maintain it and grow it, what should we do?

R. Only come closer to one another together with prayer to the Creator. We ask the Creator to bring us all closer together closer to one another. That's how our prayer should be.

48. S. (01:02:32) In the ten we have a friend who is in the front, other friends from the Israeli Kli. We also talk about states in the home front command when there is no electricity and no communication, extreme cases when there is no connection with the ten. How can we hold on to the Creator with confidence?

R. I think that specifically those states we receive in order to strengthen the connection between us and to strengthen the confidence. Especially from the lack of necessary things we come to the necessity of intensifying our confidence.

S. It says that the vessel for divinity is bestowal, so how in such a state can you try to bestow to be in equivalence of form with the Creator when you are alone?

R. You are never alone, you always have a connection with the ten and with the Creator.

49. S. (01:07:28) Which state is more exalted?

R. When he needs the Creator.

S. When he has confidence, or when he asks for confidence for the friends?

R.  It's like two possible different directions. Where he needs confidence.

S. Two states: one, a person is in a state of confidence, as Baal HaSulam writes, or another state where he does not have confidence, he came down from it but he's asking for the friends to have a state of confidence with all his heart?

R. That's the question. How can I ask for confidence for the friends if he himself is not in confidence?

S. Above reason, of course, you can't want it.

R. But he nevertheless has nothing to base it upon, above reason is also founded on something. How can he ask for the confidence for the friends in a state in which he himself has no confidence? From where does he have the confidence to ask for the friends? This is where the question lies, yes? So, with that, it is worthwhile to turn to the Creator.

Question for the tens: how can a person ask for confidence for the friends when right now he does not have any confidence?

50. R. (01:09:54) We talked about this, that he has no possibility of asking for the friends if he himself is not in confidence.

51. S. (01:10:07) Can we say that the more we can cover crimes with love, to that extent the Creator gives us confidence? That's the force of bestowal that we receive?

R. Yes.

52. S. (01:10:36) How does a person know whether his confidence is truly related to the ten or is it just his ego fooling him?

R. It all depends on the measure of connection he has with the friends. There cannot be the force of faith or the force of confidence without connection with the friends. It's from that that he can understand what measure of connection he has and what else he needs.

53. S. (01:11:19) By agreeing with what the Creator is doing to us above our ego do we bestow to Him?

R. Yes.

54. S. (01:11:37) Before getting to that is None Else Besides Him, do we first need to acquire the quality of bestowal?

R. Of course, yes, otherwise how will we come to None Else Besides Him? It’s all according to equivalence of form.

55. S. (01:11:56) It says that if the Creator takes this light of life, our livelihood from a person, that he feels dead, then he needs to expect the resurrection of the dead. Can you explain that? What does it mean he takes the light of life, and what does it mean that he expects the resurrection of the dead?

R. If a person loses his connection with the Creator, it’s as if disappears from the world, not from this world but from spirituality, and then he expects nevertheless to return to life, to return to the spiritual vitality, and that is actually his prayer.

S. This spiritual life is this confidence? Is this the faith that everything the Creator does comes from the Good Who Does Good even though within reason I see that it is completely opposite?

R. Yes.

S. So how do we truly come to it in the ten? That we will truly feel this state and support one another specifically today with what's happening, that it is all coming from the Good Who Does Good because this is our confidence. How do we build this vessel?

R. Connect between you these inclinations to think about the Creator as the Good and Benevolence and you will receive a great force of confidence.

56. S. (01:13:44) You said this war is a war on our ego. When will it end? Is this our last war until the end of correction?

R. It will end when the Creator wants to end it and when we will be ready for it.

S. According to what you are saying this could last a long time.

R. When we will be ready for that, that is what I said to you.

S. You constantly tell us that we are not praying correctly. As our Rav, as a great Kabbalist can you guide us how to pray correctly?

R. Okay, we will talk about this in the future.

57. S. (01:14:50) The feeling of confidence, this force of confidence, can we say that it's like taking a step above the abyss when you gather your courage and you understand that what seems impossible is possible, and the Creator is offering to help you?

R. Well, let it be that way.

S. Can we say that the force of confidence seemingly opens up to us a new cycle of correction on our path?

R. Yes.

S. When there's a state of arguments, complaints from the bodies, difficult states and you see it and you say to the body, yes, I see, I hear the state and I understand that you are correct, still we need to go forward. Is this the state that leads us to confidence?

R. Yes, you can say it that way.

58. S. (01:16:20) How to give confidence to the friend in the most efficient way? To keep speaking about it, to pray for her, or just let it go and not emphasize it and engage in the general connection with the ten and wait for the Creator to help this friend? How to act correctly?

R. Connect in love between you and put Him inside there, enter Him between you, that's it. Bring this love between you and enter this within you and you will see what will come out of it.

59. S. (01:17:23) If I don't have the force of confidence, can I ask for the ten to give us confidence? Like a prayer of many? Is that okay?

R. Yes.

60. S. (01:17:53) Can you explain please again what is the difference between spiritual confidence and corporeal confidence?

R. Corporeal confidence depends on how many forces and money you have, how much force and money you have. Spiritual confidence is to the extent in which you have connection with the Creator and your ten.

S. When these two types of confidence are together you should prefer spiritual over corporeal confidence?

R. A person needs to decide that on his own. It all depends on the person.

61. S. (01:19:02) In what way do you want us to hold on to confidence? What do you wish for us, and how does the measure of spiritual fear support the measure of confidence together with faith?

R. I can't answer you because the form that you are asking is not acceptable to me. That's it.

62. S. (01:19:45) It says that we have to be careful not to receive help, or support from the Torah but only from faith. Can you explain that?

R. Torah is Torah, and faith is faith; they are two things.

S. But why can't we receive support from the Torah?

R. Why can't we receive a strengthening from the Torah? Because the Torah comes to us in a complete vessel.

63. S. (01:20:35) At the end of the article we see that he has to believe that with the power of faith, he will be rewarded with help from above, as it’s written “He who comes to purify is aided.” Do we need to help the friends to reach that state of “He who comes to purify is aided”? How can we help them?

R. Certainly, certainly engage with him, explain to him as usual, just like you do with new students, maybe in all the groups. We certainly need to do that.

S. What do we need to do externally?

R. Help, like in school, like in any place that you study. Just like we have one another here, help as well.

64. S. (01:21:36) Following this very interesting discussion what is the difference between the real desire to bestow Lishma and to have let's say the force of confidence to bestow Lishma? So where is the difference in usage here?

R. Yes, we will move now to info because I see that otherwise, we will not conclude on time, so my friend will forgive me.
