Part 1:

Rabash. Article No. 26, 1986. A Near Way and a Far Way

1. S. (52:43) Everything depends on the reward that the person depicts to himself so what kind of reward should I remind myself all the time that this is what I want because I don't feel the reward. In corporeality, there's a contract there's seemingly there's nothing that...

R. There is a written contract and there is an oral contract. There are different kinds of contracts.

S. What should I depict to myself all the time, what kind of reward because it keeps eluding me so how do I hold on to it?

R. Don't you know what you want in life?

S. I want to attain the Creator with the friends.

R. Okay, so start there and see whether you're doing this today or not. What are you lacking in order to throughout the day to be doing such actions as you say?

2. S. (54:06) Is there a choice with respect to the reward that I demand for the action?

R. Only the reward.

S. Wait a minute, I don't have a choice in performing the action? I do the action anyway regardless of the reward that I demand?

R. We'll say so, yes.

S. Okay, so how do I make this choice? I don't feel, how do I make the choice, how do I make this scrutiny, what is the more correct reward for the action?

R. Again?

S. I come to perform a certain action.

R. Yes.

S. I feel that my effort is on do I even do it or not, because I don't feel like doing it, it goes against my routine.

R. Against the reward.

S. It's against some other reward that I get.

R. Other reward or yeah okay, well?

S. It's not this work that I need to persuade myself to perform the actions, to connect to the friends, do some  dissemination or whatever it is. How do I make the choice and choose the correct reward? Do I have such a choice?

R. What would you like to have?

S. What do I like it to be? I would like an option in my action. Here I see an egoistic reward and here I see an altruistic reward, I would be able to choose the altruistic reward and then I know it's the right way, towards the Creator.

R. But is that a reward for you?

S. That's a question, theoretically yes, but I'm not sure, also don't really feel this split before the action. There's only one reward with which I manage to persuade myself. So how do I focus the reward so it's more closer to bestowal? Is there such an option?

R. You need someone in front of you to be an example that what's important in his eyes will be working with no reward and that's the Ten. Your friends with whom bit by bit you go into a connection then the essence of that connection later changes, you begin to feel that they are more and more far from you and they're advancing towards a loftier and loftier reward.

3. S. (57:29) I hope I'll be able to ask properly. He makes the separation here between the body and the heart. There is the work of the body which is to receive the reward the body wants and there is seemingly the work of the heart which is to reach the true path of bestowal.

R. Yes.

S. I noticed that the difference between the body and the heart becomes blurred, the gap becomes blurred. Seemingly the body controls the heart and as time goes by it becomes even more sharp. Let's say a person comes to the morning lesson and a person comes to the society he does whatever is required. He’s in the  environment,  he's respected in the environment, this is how he goes but the search for the truth becomes blurred and the need to perform these actions in order to bestow, in order to bestow to the Creators seemingly?

R. Disappears.

S. Yes.

R. It's because these things are becoming less important in your eyes.

S. How can it be? I'm in a society where there is no place where they appreciate spiritual reward more than that society that I’m in, it should work on me.?

R. Why doesn't it work?

S. That's my question?

R. You're blaming the environment.

S. I don't blame anyone. I am trying to understand why it is not working because seemingly in my body I do whatever I can, whatever I'm being taught to do.

R. Other than doing actions with your body you need to do other actions in your desire, in your spirit.

S. This is the essence that you're talking about but the light should be doing that in me, it should be as a result.

R. No, actually in that same attitude to the light you’re saying you're only doing corporeal actions.

S. The expectation is that the inner scrutiny towards the truth should become more focused, more sharp not to be blurred. Why do we come to the morning lesson? Let's put it this way, in the beginning of my path we started to do whatever I needed to do in order to reach the truth, so I came to the teacher and he said do this and that and this and that and the society said so also and I will do the same because I want to reach the truth, I want to be a bestower, to be a pipeline of the Creator but as time passes and the more I perform these actions it becomes routine for me and this scrutiny of where the truth, is this inner point, becomes more and more blurry. It's as if the body has taken over the truth, the will to receive has taken over the truth, it is now the boss.

R. Yes.

S. How do I separate again? On the one hand I continue to do whatever I need to but make a separation between the body and the heart because right now the body has complete control over my heart.

R. Who can reply to him?

4. S. (01:01:10) I want to answer but to continue the scrutiny; maybe out of that we will reach the correct understanding.

R. Okay.

S. What I understand what the friend is saying and I also want to ask about it. Let's say a person comes out of this innocence or maybe he feels that there's is a the truth here, he's willing to do everything, he found the truth here, he’s willing to give everything and go all the way, he feels good about it, he doesn't really make a scrutiny about the reward, he doesn't make any scrutinies, he simply does it out of the feeling that this is the truth. Later on he accumulates coarseness let's say, then the question is should a person now try to want to be innocent and do the work as he felt it and always keep this state of innocence and pure work or should he get into these scrutinies and scrutinize what is the reward and all the things that we read about in the articles working on the left line. What is the right intention here?

R. Probably scrutinies need to be made.

S. Then he loses the innocence and the cleanest that he had.

R. First he had an inclination to a simple scrutiny and he did that and now he needs to do a more complex scrutiny. You understand now there are different questions now, to do it in order to bestow, in order to receive; it's not as simple as it used to be.

S. Here what is the most important in this work of scrutiny so that on the one hand we will keep the cleanliness and on the other hand we will add to it each time some coarseness or the left line, not sure how to say it.

R. Yes.

S. What's most important in that work?

R. Most important where do I become closer to the Creator.

S. Not for myself. It's not that I will be closer to the Creator or maybe I should?

R. Let's not scrutinize this.

5. S. (01:04:12) To continue the scrutiny he writes here, this is why we see that those people who want to keep the Torah and Mitzvot in order to bestow any little thing requires great exertion because the body’s afraid that with anything that people do maybe the other person will reach Lishma, meaning all the control of the will to receive that it has over the person will be canceled. What is this fear? I’m unaware of this fear.

R. What do you mean? If I do something now then my body, my physiological body or my inner body the will to receive, it needs to know that it benefits that it's going to gain benefit, closer to some rest to some benefit, something, that's my fuel that enables me to keep going.

S. This is the body but internally I know it's not good, I know bestowal is the right thing.

R. Where do I feel that it's not good?

S. Let's put it this way I don't feel that it's not good but I feel that reception, out of past experience is not good, I feel it. I know that if I am in a will to receive again I know I'm not going to feel good, it’s not good for me.

R. Yes.

S. If I know the reception is not good for me, I mean I feel that in bestowal I’ll feel better. Why is the body still afraid of it?

R. How could it be that in bestowal I will be better off? If I now want to move to bestowal it will be better for me?

S. Well, in reception I don't feel good, so?

R. You are empty-handed in both ways.

S. Yes, that’s the state.

R. That's the state.

S. How do I work with that state of being empty-handed both ways?

R. You need the light that reforms.

S. I want to give an example and scrutinize something. We come out of here, out of the morning lesson with a big fuel, our tank is fueled with a lot of power, we begin the day with a lot of power, then we reach the last part of the day, two three hours of sleep and there's a feeling that it's like you want to do the last mile in giving up on reception but there it is very difficult, you seemingly ran out of fuel. Before you go to sleep you feel this fear that you want to fill your will to receive a little, it needs something, there's this feeling that it's frustrating, it's not simple. The question is how do we overcome it?

R. Meaning you agree going to sleep empty.

S. I want to go to sleep empty. Sometimes it works and I know this emptiness is very good because you get to the morning lesson with an empty vessel and it’s good but sometimes you don't manage and there is this fear of going to sleep empty.

R. You don't appreciate it yet.

S. In isolated cases I managed to appreciate it. In other cases I'm not capable of doing it in those hours before sleep and hour and hour in a half I'm seemingly sleeping into this small fulfillments that bother me and it's frustrating and I feel that it's really harmful because it is the last stage. It's like a person who is running a marathon and he's coming to the end and he sits, stops. His body is all warm and it cools off and he has to continue in the last part but then he destroys his entire race, feels like the entire momentum of the day, in that last stage of the day can really lose all of it, something like that.

R. Okay, you can probably get some advice from the friends.

S. What's your advice? You once said just go to sleep but it's not easy to do it, the body doesn't always let you to do it

R. Continue.

6. S. (01:09:11) Make sure it’s more connected to the way we study. It's not about the text. There is an advantage over the reforming light in just hearing this text because I don't understand any of it, after three lines my head starts thinking of other things, I don't care to much understand what is here, is this still good or…?

R. Don't show yourself to us as ignorant. You have your mind you have emotions you have everything, you need to enter these articles with your whole being.

S. Okay, but since we started to study these long articles I don't manage to focus especially with such long texts and many excerpts seem to repeat themselves, I lose my concentration.

R. Perhaps this is how he's teaching us and you from the entire article need to do some small summaries whether it's a page a quarter of the page, it doesn't matter, some kind of summary and advance. All together the article is not difficult, to implement, it's a different thing.

S. This article is to execute it, to understand it, do all kinds of things. I can’t do it. What do I do? I find myself sitting here for 15 minutes, 15 minutes then I look at the clock, I look at the friends, many friends fall asleep. It used to be that we just read small excerpts and scrutinize them, read more small excerpts and then scrutinize them, and now I don't manage to do it. When he reads, do you get excited by it, are you inspired? What should happen inside of you because it doesn’t work for me?

R. It's good that you have a complaint. Now you need to check how do you calm it down, what will be the response to it.

S. Why? I'm not complaining, I'm telling you what I feel. What do you mean I'm not complaining? I’m not complaining about it, it's just the way it is.

R. Yes, it's all true

S. When you read are you inspired?

R. Yes. To gradually enter the article and try if not to understand then to adhere to the author as much as possible and through that through getting closer to him you can understand emotionally, not intellectually, emotionally you will understand what he wants to communicate to you.

S. I discover more and more all the time that I don't have good qualities, I don't have good qualities I don't reach…

R. You're not going to be able to convince us that you're dumb.

S. I’m not saying I’m an idiot, I'm talking about the good qualities that he writes about here.

R. Even these qualities you do have them and even more. You're too soft and you understand others, you feel others, and what you are trying to show that you're not is in order to guard yourself.

S. The list of friends that I love that I care about, that is different from what he writes about here. Here he says you have to love everyone, etc. It’s not the way for me. Half the people that I love it’s a very different list from what he writes about here.

R. That’s what everyone has before a correction.

S. That’s what I'm saying, before corrections I'm not righteous, that's what I'm saying

R. No one is born a righteous.

S. Is there some benefit to reading such long long articles? I find myself just flying all the time. I’m trying to find some way to make it interesting or alive?

R. We'll try to bring ourselves closer to that, all right.

7. S. (01:14:43) First of all I wish the friend could see how much friends see how soft and good heart he has, he has this pleasant warmth and we all see it and we all feel it. I will continue his question because it's exactly what is written in the text. The will to receive is afraid. It wont let a person concentrate on the article because he’s afraid that man will run to bestow and that's our life. The will to receive is in the sphere and like the friend said it's not in our awareness. Now I'm in the morning lesson, there's an atmosphere and the Rabash and the friends that you so I can look at things from such perspective and ask, but life isn't like this and the will to receive is always in control and it's not clear how to disconnect the point of truth from it, to live in that scrutiny of the truth like we used to have, like the friend said. We were willing to do everything for that point of truth and the will to receive just, it's like a glue to him, and he can’t separate them. How to separate it, how to live in that point?

R. You need to be in the middle. Try to be in the middle between them and see how the text pulls you this way or that way, what it wants to do with you.

S. That happens when I'm in front of the text, it’s happening right now when we’re scrutinizing.

R. Yes

S. We have these conditions here, look at our conditions. In some way I can still make an effort but the whole life, my whole life, I don't have these conditions. A friend says he has fuel for two hours, there’s friend that go down the stairs I hear that once they leave the morning lesson the point of truth disappears.

R. There are those and there are those.

S. Why is the Creator doing this? It’s like he gathered us. There’s a group of people that really want to do the best. The conditions on the outside just push us but He disconnects the point of truth from us.

R. Get closer to Him, get closer. He really wants it but you want to come closer to Him on your own terms and He wants it on His terms so what do you do?

S. He has to help us.

R. He's willing to help, but to help, not go against the nature that He created. You understand?

8. S. (01:17:8) In the article you can see that the real war starts when you understand that the intention is the main part.

R. Yes.

S. As he says here, and then the body starts resisting, I can also hear all these questions. He does everything he can not to lose the control over the body, that's why he won't let him do simple deeds because he's afraid that maybe by doing the deed he'll reach Lishma, that is all for the sake of the heavens, and he has no part that wants to receive for self love. Now, in any war in the end the one who prepared more he wins.

R. Yes.

S. You can’t in the middle of the battle, you already lose. If you're not prepared the other side comes stronger so the question is how to prepare for this war correctly in every moment?

R. To be constantly alert because you understand that every moment gets harder than before because you are advancing and advancing means you're facing stronger and stronger forces and each time you too have to be stronger against them.

S. Yes, so how do you get ready, how do you prepare? Let me give you an example, once you bring a knife so he brings a gun, you come with the gun you come with a rifle, so how do you prepare your next weapon or should you always be prepared to get a blow and then prepare?

R. We always have to be in what is called recognition of evil, to get ready for an attack by the evil inclination and then you will be able to move to a state where you are attacking him, you are protecting yourself correctly against it. In this way you will succeed.

S. It seems that you really need the help from above here in every moment.

R. This you have to activate along with your actions.

S. How do you prepare for that to constantly have such a connection? It's like the friends are saying, so I go down the stairs and everything disappears. A lot of little things that if you didn't prepare yourself, same with the article that the friend asked. If we in the Ten read today, read the article the day before, whoever can before sleep reads it again and then we come here it's the third time we're hearing, so even if the first time you didn’t understand the second time you grab something, when you come here it says as if you're reading it for the first time, but that's clear that that’s the preparation and to read an article without preparing you can fly in all directions, so that's an example for maybe there's no intention but there is a deed. How do we prepare ourselves for the right intention that it won't throw us out of the intention?

R. When you constantly think about the thought that the Creator sends you and you want to transition it into in order to bestow.

S. So that should be the preparation every moment in life?

R. Yes, yes.

9. S. (01:22:16) He says that whatever our mind won't do time will do so where is the help here? How does time help? Where's the light that reforms here?

R. Time means the reforming light. There is no time in spirituality there are states, and when a person sees that he is weak and unable and is willing to perhaps only get some help, some hint, then he gets it and advances.

S. To wait until the ego will be weak and then go to the side of the Creator and attack him together?

R. Yes.

S. He always surprises us again and again.

R. So what? That's the way in life too.

S. When is the right state to attack and when does it work?

R. The attack can be in any situation and if you are attacking in the name of the Creator then you get the powers until you suddenly feel that a new spirit has entered you.

S. The ego is like a serpent. You think you're on the side of the Creator and then you're in the will to receive.

R. Fine, so you fell, you got up and you fell, yes. There's nothing about it that needs to despair you, discourage you. A thousand times a righteous falls and rises.

S. How to understand when you're really on the side of the Creator, how to grab that point?

R. By all kinds of signs that you place before you.

10. S. (01:24:57) He describes two specific paths, one is closer to your heart and one is bestowal that is distant from your heart. Where's that transition, because in every scenario it's always the path that is close to the heart. Also being here is close to the heart because somewhere else I’ll feel unpleasant so you come here. Where does that new spirit come in, because there's no real choice between two paths, there’s a path that is better from the heart and one isn't. How does this shift happen to a place where a person has life in a path that is far from his egoistic heart? It's like a miracle, it's like an abyss that you don't know how to..?

R. Yes yes, correct, that's already a good distinction, a good insight that there is a chasm, an abyss here.

S. Whichever way I look at it there's no real two paths, there's like an inner shift, some spirit of bestowed that..

R. When a person dares his connection with one path, one way.

S. A person does it, does it happen from above?

R. He wants it to happen.

S. How does a person that is completely immersed in himself want to be torn away from himself?

R. Such times come, they come.

S. Where does that desire come from, it's not his own desire?

R. No, it's a desire from above.

S. Is that the Ten, the Creator, what?

R. The Creator.

S. How do you reach that, the light, or..?

R. The Creator sends him the light and the person because of that light he attains what he needs to do. In the end of course everything comes from the Creator.

11. S. (01:27:40) What we read in the article, Baal HaSulam’s example of the workers that work extra hours not for their landlord but to make more money, so to continue the friend’s question, you said that we have to put the Creator into every action we do, that we have to pray to Him. When I do that scrutiny I see that I'm not always taking the Creator into account. If I connect to the friend, if I talk to the friend in the lesson, I don't always pray, maybe a few minutes in the lesson. The question is should we perform this scrutiny, is there a matter of more or less or just to keep going and to try as much as I can?

R. I didn’t understand the question.

S. The question, let's say I have three hours in the lesson and I am praying for a few minutes during that whole lesson. Like the friend said, if I'm connected a few minutes out of the 50 minutes there's not enough forces to sit like that for three hours, so when we scrutinize should we see how we can be more?

R. Ideally of course we want it to be more, that's obvious, so?

S. It doesn't get there. That more time, it doesn't become more, it usually stays in the same line.

R. Yes.

S. It's like something’s blocked here, it doesn't let you..

R. The heart is blocked.

12. S. (01:30:05) In the lesson we were talking about attack. I heard you say many times that the best way is to agree with what the Creator is taking us through. How does it work out together to attack and to agree with the Creator?

R. The attack means that you're speaking to the friends or to someone else and you agree, all of you together to be in an attack. It may begin with not going to sleep in the middle of the day like you have a chance to do today and you read something together or you do something else but something from which you will have a stronger demand for the help of the Creator.

S. It's agreeing with the Ten.

R. Yes.

S. To adhere to the Ten, to agree with them and what they say you do.

R. Yes.

13. S. (01:31:31) You said that if you attack by the name of the Creator so you get more forces. What does it mean to attack in the name of the Creator?

R. I don't know. I meant that you want to reach the purpose of creation and you want to be connected with the friends and with the Creator and you want to be in the middle among friends in order to help them, not in order to get help but in order to help, and through all those forces that you're willing to invest in them until you totally exhaust yourself, you are willing to do it, you're ready for it.

S. I’m in the attack towards the friends?

R. Not toward the friends.

S. For the sake of the friends.

R. Yes.

S. Or we're in an attack together?

R. You are in an attack for the sake of the friends and likewise each one.

S. How to draw the Creator into that attack because I don't have forces to do it, how to pull Him in there?

R. If you aim for the Creator then He is already in it.

14. S. (01:33:21) The friend was asking about the articles and he says that he's not  concentrated in them. I have all kinds of states. There are articles where I'm really concentrated in and I have days that there is no word that I can understand, sometimes I can follow sometimes I can’t. It also doesn't affect whether I absorb the article or not so what's the cause of it? Is it my own states or is it the type of the article?

R. I don't know, it might be a thousand reasons for it or a person being in a certain state, we can't make sure.

15. S. (01:34:26) I want to understand something that seems essential. He says that according to the Ramban the close path is far from the truth so you can interpret, he's quoting something from the Bible, you can interpret the war that when engaging in Lo Lishma so the path is quicker to reach Lishma. It’s clear, we see in a lot of articles that start with Lo Lishma and from that you’ll reach Lishma

R. So?

S. Now he’s saying something opposite, that since you begin the work in Lo Lishma they will not want to wage war with the inclination because they’ll be afraid they will fall from their degree, that they’re engaging in Torah and Mitzvot. Maybe that’s the far path because the Creator wanted to go with them to Mount Sinai and give them the Torah. For that reason he told them to go in the longer path although it's further from the heart it's a closer way to the truth, that by that they’ll be ready to receive the Torah, so He's telling them start in Lishma in the path that's further away from the heart.

R. Yes.

S. It's opposite from what the Rabash says, start with Lo Lishma, the Ramban says in Lo Lishma.

R. You start from Lo Lishma anyhow.

S. What is the Creator telling us to do on this path that’s far from the heart?

R. Yearn for Lishma and you will reach it in the usual way by this you're not breaking the laws of nature, very simple.

16. S. (01:36:45) From the beginning when the friend asked the matter of incorporation it keeps coming back. We constantly hear it on the path, from the teachers, from the books, how our force is by being incorporated in the Ten from all the tendencies the friends have. The friend said what am I doing, I'm depositing my point in the heart in the hands of the Ten. Afterward it was a matter of, what another friend said, where do you get the forces and then there were all kinds of contemplations how to relate to an article. Sometimes in the lesson a question comes from curiosity because the ego supposedly wants to know, sometimes it comes from many discernments of greatness and importance of the friends, also in the article that's what I felt all the time. During time of incorporation, of listening, of relating, let’s call it the mind that’s working even not in attainment, when I say okay, what's the principle in the work here? Oh, this is a vessel to work with and this is incorporation and here you must annul, here you have to see greatness of the upper one, here you have to see as much as this short path of impatience is making a short circuit and why the long path supposedly, sorry for the expression but it seems far that only through the Ten, through the incorporation, the connection you can look for the way and understand something towards the goal. Then a friend also said, so what do I do at the end of the day, that I remain empty or another friend said what do I do when I go down the stairs and everything disappears and not only yesterday, many times you said talk to the Creator. If at the end of the day I say okay, where through this whole day, what I’ve been through all these states, where could I say None Else Besides Him, what should I do now with this thing called None Else Besides Him? Or I go down the stairs and I say that’s it, I’m blocked, let’s forget about Him, so in that same moment I can start talking to the Creator, listen, everything was erased, I want at least one thing to feel that towards that I can ask for Your help and that already opens a lot. Then I have to again deposit the point in the heart in the Ten, I must incorporate, I must see where I'm really doing an interaction of annulment and where that becomes a great benefit because only in that way I can incorporate in the forces of the friends and then find again what is demanded of me to do from how the article influenced me. I don't really have a question, I just wanted to share that many times it’s only to check what the right attitude is, like with the friend I’ve known for many years and he had many questions and I really only see how this person is just getting greater. This place of supposedly despair, if I'm not despaired from my own forces, from my ego that eventually can't attain anything except for bringing me closer to the goal, so any other despair just takes my happiness away, just annuls my attitude to the Creator. If I lost my mood I have to run to the society and say guys, I need an uplifting so it's very important and we try to work on it a lot and we see as much as it's essential to constantly renew this thing.

R. Thank you.

17. S. (01:41:51) There was a scrutiny here and a question from a friend that people on the outside work for their stomach and here we’re trying to work in order to bestow, so we’re not here or there, so where are we?

R. Neither here nor there as you said.

S. As Rabash writes either you’re here or you’re there and we're like in the middle. What is this middle, what is this state?

R. We are on the way to Lishma, to for her sake, on the way. We have to be more connected in our thoughts and in the goal and then we will achieve it, we will achieve it.

S. When, when will it happen?

R. It will happen when the Creator wants it to. Ask me, I don't know, I’m serious from the bottom of my heart, I don't know.

18. S. (01:43:38) If the body is afraid of deeds for Lishma how can a person do them anyway?

R. A person cannot succeed in any act of Lishma, only with the help of the Creator, this what can pull him out.

19. S. (01:44:00) Is the ego afraid that the man will correct it?

R. You can put it this way.

20. S. (01:44:08) What does it mean that the further path is better than the closer path?

R. The longer path seems to us like it's a better way because we need to seemingly not sacrifice ourselves.

21. S. (01:44:33) Could it be that the whole world will be not important for man anymore like a restart? What happens when you feel such a state?

R. I didn't really understand the question but the fact that the whole world is not important to a person, you can accept it, anyone can accept it.

22. S. (01:45:01) Is choosing the far path, is that choosing far away from my desire, are they  states on the path that are close to the Creator and to man?

R. If a person goes in adhesion with the Creator, to the possible adhesion with the Creator, yes.

23. S. (01:45:35) I used to think I am doing all the deeds that you are advising us. I go to the group, I connect, I try and the Creator will come and the time will come and He’ll correct me, the  Creator. Now I woke up in the morning for the friends, I came to lesson for the friends, I'm asking a question for the whole world Kli and even if I'll ask a wrong question you’ll still answer in such a way that it will be beneficial for the friends, so I started doing everything I'm doing for the friends, is that the right way to work, is that the right path?

R. It's correct, continue and you’ll succeed.

24. S. (01:46:45) To get rid of the disease of self-love, that’s reward for a person. How can we ask that not for ourselves but for the Creator?

R. We want to get rid of self-love so with this very request we already are making the right step toward exiting, emerging from self-love and to continue, just continue so it will happen this way.

25. S. (01:47:37) How to turn my thought, intention, and deed that it will be as a reward?

R. Raise it above yourself.

26. S. (01:47:58) I try to keep a pure intention and then an inner voice comes and says that it’s not the truth, that I'm cheating myself. How can I reach a pure intention where I feel that I'm not deceiving myself?

R. Keep digging onwards. An inner voice comes and tells you that it’s not true, keep digging into it, you’ll go deeper and deeper until you see that probably, according to what I feel this is my real intention for now, for the time being and this is how you will advance.

27. S. (01:49:07)  What's the full devotion we’re working with the example the Rabash gives because they are getting a reward or maybe I didn’t understand anything because they’re  constantly talking about a reward. I thought bestowing isn’t a reward?

R. I didn't understand what she’s saying.

S. To bestow isn’t to get a reward and the text says it’s constantly talking about a reward.

R. If you were given an opportunity to perform an act of bestowal it’s also a reward, like a salary, the act itself.

28. S. (01:49:55) A person gets a desire to make people happy, we encourage it in children to use that quality until eventually it comes to a point where you want to bring joy to the Creator, to bring joy to his Maker. Are those qualities that are pure in their source that are just to bestow and..?

R. There's no such thing as a clean quality, nothing. After the sin of Adam HaRishon everything was mixed and there’s nothing that’s clean.

29. S. (01:50:58) Relating to the question of the friend, what is this truth-finding of keeping Torah and Mitzvot?

R. The right intention in Torah and Mitzvot is that I want to bring containment to the Creator.

S. How do I get the power to be able to come to this truth?

R. Think about it and ask the Creator to give you forces to do it.

S. That will give me the truth?

R. Yes.

S. What is this truth-finding?

R. The pure intention as much as I measure it, as much as I feel it as being clean, pure from all forms of the ego.

30. S. (01:52:17)  I wanted to make a precision regarding the attack and the advice you gave that when the Ten wants to attack the Creator you said that it can be done once a day or in some other frequency. What's the best way to go on an attack toward the Creator, what frequency and how do we prepare ourselves for the attack?

R. I think that no less than once a day.

S. How do we organize this attack?

R. Decide between you and try to do it and then you will see what it brings you to.

S. What is an attack on the Creator? How does it happen in practice in the Ten so we know what to aspire for, some kind of a gauge, direction, image of an attack, what is it?

R. It means that the actions that the Creator is doing in the world on each and every one of you and on all of you together, you want with those actions to bestow to the Creator in a way that He will change His relation towards you, that He’ll start helping, that He will lift you.

S. Is it some kind of a prayer this attack?

R. Prayer, action, it doesn't matter.

S. How do we check that we perform this attack because in regular war you see the results with your eyes but how do we see that the Creator is helping us, that we’ve bestowed upon Him, is that even possible?

R. Yes, it’s possible and except for that you can also enter common actions with Him.

S. What does it mean common actions?

R. Common actions, one against the other.

31. S. (01:55:05) He describes in the article a situation where a person gets a reward by seeing he advances, he's constantly advancing. The question is, is this an incorrect reward that we have to expect?

R. That already depends on as much as the environment holds a person, obviously alone you can’t hold onto this.

S. Shouldn’t a person want to advance all the time, should he also keep going even without seeing advancement?

R. A person can’t hold on on his own.
