Chapter 5 #23 (" We may now see the meaning of the corrections in The Zohar ...")

Chapter 5 Item 23 “According to the above, we can understand what is ....”

27. R. (01:56) This means that we have a state that this will receive that the Creator created exist out of absence, it receives everything the Creator created directly, it feels it and he makes no reaction to it any discernment this is why reception of light in this way is Malchut de Ein Sof. You can read this a few more times later and in effect this is the definition Malchut de Ein Sof as they desire to receive does not put any end to the reception of the light on its part.

28. S. (02:59) What is the state Malchut of Ein Sof? Is this the root of creation?

R. This is the root for the entire creation. The first discernment that we get is that Malchut receives all without limitation, is there a certain work before that or not, we will talk about it later as it is a very delicate situation. Nevertheless, this is the state, light fills the vessel and the vessel does not produce any reaction for life, not negative, nothing, it simply sees everything according to how the light fills it and it is under the complete domination of the upper light.

S. It turns out that all of creation to begin with was full of the Creator?

R. Yes.

29. S. (04:39) Is this the state of he and his name or one?

R. This is the third state because here there is no name and there is no, he, we can't talk about them separately, the vessel and the light and they come to equivalence before in between them, it will come only in the end of correction. To return to the state as before in creation when the light was feeling the vessel completely and after this vessel to reveal it opens up, feeling all of the discernment that are opposite to the light through different states, from these they come to equivalence of form where they are equal, this is the process that we are going through.

30. S. (05:47) How can there be a discernment of the 4th phase without the discernment of its disparity of form of the light?

R. Because the light influences, it rules that is considered the only forward in operation.

Chapter 6 Item 24 “It is impossible for the will to receive to appear in any essence ....” (06:11)

31. R. (11:05) What does he want to say here? The light has to go through four phases in its development within the desire to receive, it creates the desire to receive, enters into the desire to receive working inside the desire to receive and invites responses from the desire to receive one after the other, after the other until he reaches such a desire to receive that feels the light, understands it, wants it to be next to it on behalf of the desire to receive. The state that the desire to receive will resemble the light exactly, receive everything that is in the light and enjoy it, too and absorb the life inside he has to take the desire to receive through a few actions to change it, prepare it that it will be exactly suitable against it. This is called the light goes through 4 degrees, the desire to receive changes to receive the light in its fullness. Meaning the entire light, enjoying it and everything that the light has pleasures to give and, in this way, they begin to be connected to one another, the light and the desire.

32. S. (12:56) What is the relationship between the 4 phases, the letter HaVaYaH and Malchut de Ein Sof?

R. The last letter of HaVaYaH is Malchut of Ein Sof 4 letters of HaVaYaH are Hochma, Bina, ZA, Malchut except for the Keter there's no shape as it is not a vessel yet. There is no will receive only will to bestow, that is why it is called the point of the Yud, the beginning of the letter, but there's no letter yet because in the Creator's relation towards the created being even though there is a desire to receive there, the root, because the Creator is the bestower, he creates the darkness. There is no clear form of a letter here, the letters are Yud Hey Vav Hey 4 letters that we name, the name of the Creator with, the Creator wants to bestow to creation and so he works on those 4 degrees of YKVK, you can see the letters and many people know them. I have seen them in all kinds of places, also in mosques or in churches, that they just put those letters there because it is a custom, it is the way the Creator bestows to the created beings.

33. S. (15:12) You mentioned earlier the expansion and departure of the light in the 4 phases of direct light make the vessel qualified for its role. What is the difference in the four phases of direct light development and the development where there is a line, a Rosh, Toch and Sof?

R. I don't understand, it is a development.

S. Where the vessel is influenced by the light in a vessel that already has calculations.

R. There are no calculations, go with the text, where do you see this written?

S. You said that the light emerges, it enters and leaves and the vessel then the vessel is able to develop. Is there a response from the side of the vessel or how does this all come about?

R. What is written here that you are asking about?

S. It is written here about the four phases of direct light.

R. That is it that is all you ask about.

34. S. (16:26) What does he mean when he says that you don't have a greater or smaller light whether it's in the upper or lower worlds that will not be under the order of HaVaYaH?

R. It all depends upon the sensation of the vessel, you can't speak about the light without the vessel.

S. Talking about HaVaYaH, do we have to feel this inside?

R. That is something else that we need, it's a different question, do not confuse. We are speaking about as much as we attain in reality. We reach a state that there are four stages that the light builds the desire, these four stages are called the four degrees of HaVaYaH, or four phases of direct light.

Item 25 “The will to receive does not permit the emanated except ....” (18:03)

35. R. (19:47) Do you hear, the Emanator itself has to reveal the desire to receive from ......, the light through the 4 phases.

Reader continues: “he must extend the abundance through his own will more than ....” (20:07)

36. R. (23:06) Meaning of expands in the desire that was formulated in the light, existence from absence, which is actually the action of the Creator, the action of creation, Bar, meaning outside of him from the state where it didn't exist, suddenly a desire to receive exists that was formulated in the light. After it was formulated in the right everything already developed according to the law of the light and the desire to receive as much as it fills itself opposite or different from the light response to the light in all kinds of forms. There are already all kinds of laws here. This is what we talked about action or force and potential or action until the desire to receive in the light begin to reach a stage where they complete each other in the fourth phase.

37. S. (24:18) You said He emanated himself and is compelled to reveal on his own?

R. That he has a desire to receive and he wants to enjoy the light and actually except for this desire there is nothing, all of these things, the emanated must reveal and if it keeps going in the correction. Because from the desire to receive revealed now he can compare his desire with the Creator’s desire and then creation starts the restriction and all of the other things which are already in corrections. Four phases of direct light are the expansion and formulation of the desire to receive by the light and afterwards the restriction, a different process starts from the created being towards the Creator.

S. Even if a desire awakens within us, it is the light that we can see, what is it that the created being precedes the desire on his behalf?

R. After the restriction the created being chooses and says that I want to be in the desire to bestow or I want to be in the desire to receive that was formulated in me in a different way or all together for it to be restricted. Because the created being is called a created being before his desire to receive, he is in control of his desire to receive, you can say that he is using this or that, to the extent of the restriction and the usage it is called that he exists. If he has no ability to control himself yet it is not considered a created thing is under the control of the lights, the control of the Creator, under the still vegetative and animate.

38. S. (26:54) Do we need to discover all of the letters and the vessels, and how can we hasten the revealing of this process?

R. We are advancing towards this and when we will, all of the letters are included in the 10 Sefirot, when you are able to connect to your friends in all different ways that come to you and you will determine from all of those states a certain measure of peace towards the Creator. This is called that you are creating the letters, but you are making the letters out of your Malchut and filling those letters with light. Then they begin to come up with names, all the names you put sentences together meaning commands of what you want to do, the line of the letters, the way that you change your desires, your intentions and that is your attitude towards the Creator. That you are doing work from it. It will come, just don't jump, go with us consistently.

39. S. (28:39) We read that there is a word to enjoy any word to delight and it's written the same way in Hebrew, when we read about the quality of the light is it not to delight the creatures?

R. To give pleasure you mean or to give an answer?

S. To delight.

R. Yes, how do we read it otherwise?

S. It says it does not discern here any change of the light or the place of the light which is the desire and you are to read delight or enjoy as it is written the same way in Hebrew.

R. Okay where is that? Here there is still no response on the behalf of the vessel, we are seeking how the light is building the four phases from above, okay?

Item 26 “All the worlds in the thought of creation are called ....” (29:40)

40. R. (31:30) Meaning all of the light that fills all of the vessels are called the light of Ein Sof and then includes all of the vessels in Malchut of Ein Sof.

Chapter 7 Item 27 “Although only Bechina Dalet was restricted....” (31:48)

41. R. (33:36) Meaning something very special comes from the fact that the upper light who created the desire the creation wanted to resemble the upper light because it absorbs all of the qualities from him and from wanting to resemble the upper light and the upper light comes out of it.

Reader reads again (34:10)

42. R. (35:51) The matter is that the light that expands in the desire to increase the desire and then the desire starts feeling that it is different from the light, this difference is already expressed by him feeling himself as if he is rejecting it according to the opposite nature. Also wants it according to its direct nature. So, it turns out but on this it says it diminishes its desire from the last phase which is the entire meaning of the desire to receive in order to increase the adhesion through a direct extension from His essence. Meaning there is like a collision here between these two things in the created being, on one hand I want to enjoy what I am receiving, on the other hand the more I receive, I am already a receiver and this removes me away from the giver. Where are the scissors now that I can go either here or there, how do I work, either I want to receive more and this creates distance from the giver, the Creator, or I will make myself similar to Him but by that I will receive less. The less I receive the more I resemble the Creator and the more I receive I enjoy the reception and I move away from him. Here we understand that it can't be some compensation in the middle. How can we do this in such a case? If I receive, I receive how can I remain also a giver and also a receiver, that I want to be similar to the Creator and closeness to him, to be like him and also that I want to fill myself and everything but he wants to give. This problem is unsolvable, only by what we learned later on but there has to be restriction, screen, reflected light and many actions in equivalence of form before we receive, that I am only receiving for the host, that I have to receive a force, a desire from the Creator, a feeling that he wants me to receive from him, that he wants me to enjoy him and then I do it for him and not for me. Then in such a way we become similar to one another and there is nothing that separates between us, anymore. These are very delicate things for our perception because our feelings want to work in that direction.

Reads Item 27 again (39:29)

43. S. (41:16) What is the state of impregnation in the work?

R. I don't know we will get there and we will ask about it.

44. S. (41:37) What is this that he embellishes himself?

R. That there wasn't a need to perform such an action that still by this he wanted to come close to the Creator, but he didn't have to do this. It is a decoration.

S. He writes on behalf of the desire it was felt, this is indirect extension from His Essence just like in the matter of the rich man?

R. Correct but he doesn't have to do it, a decoration isn't something that you are obligated to do, you are decorating yourself.

S. So that is why I don't understand because it turns out on the side of the desire it seems the receiver receives and the Creator is a bestower but yet it's called an embellishment?

R. He is not obligated to do this action of decoration, it diminished His will to receive instead of that he wants to perform an action of bestowal. That is called decoration.

S. So the shame doesn't oblige us to do the restriction?

R. Where do you see shame here?

S. He writes there is a difference in the allegory of the rich man where the rich man is the giver and he's the receiver and there's a gap between.

R. This is still not shame yet, we will keep reading, it will be clearer.

45. S. (43:26) For us to receive from the Creator we need him to give us the feeling that he wants us to receive?

R. Yes, but it depends upon which states and which degrees because we start from not feeling the Creator, that we are not feeling our actions and results from it.

S. Eventually as far as the system is concerned, we need to feel a response from the Creator that he is willing to receive our work?

R. Yes, if it were that way it would be good and easy to come up with that, we would feel instantly what we are doing and what the Creator feels as a result of our work but it is not like that. If you are speaking about our degrees, it is not like that, we are speaking Malchut of Ein Sof.

S. So in this high state how can it be that the Creator exposes as he is supposed to be without a deficiency, that he wants our work?

R. Because He is complete, He gives us a feeling that He needs it because otherwise it would have been an action in the feeling from His desire but because of his wholeness.

S. How do I understand that it's from a deficiency in not perfection?

R. When we reach it, we understand what it's like that a person doesn't discover it right away, we are speaking from below and we can only depict the states in our egoistic will to receive, the way it happens in perfection there is no place for deficiencies.

S. Are we in a state where we don’t feel the result of our actions, how to work in reception to receive from the Creator something?

R. We need to build in the group such a form that will give us a definition of the creator and work towards it, only towards the group, as in our world you can't depict anything spiritual. We need to build this between us and we need to work towards that image.

46. S. (46:52) Can I write about rising from the spiritual nature that is indivisible?

R. Spirituality is not divided into pieces because it is completely whole and what we ascribe to it is something of us, this is something corporeal.

S. He is talking about the beginning before the cascading of the four phases. Is this what he is speaking about in a spiritual nature?

R. Spiritual nature is bestowal, He's depicting to us help from the action of from the Creator, that these states actually come out that are opposite of bestowal, how does this happen it happens because in the Creator’s bestowal, it happens on that point where he created existence from absence and towards that point it starts to feel itself more and more compared to the light and the light towards that point of the desire can work and supposedly subdue towards it because he wants to bestow towards it, he wants to help it grow until the life and that desire become equal in their importance. Even the desire becomes more important than the light which he becomes the first, he becomes the one who decides and determines which is what the Creator wants in his completeness. He wants the light to do what the desire determines, then the desire will gradually determine that it wants to be like the light. So as if they change their roles, just like we want our small children to be greater than us, from our love it obligates us to act in such a way.

47. S. (49:38) A desire awakens and controls all four of its phases as if it notices all four phases in its desire, why are these discernments important?

R. It is important to know how they desire is inspired by the light, how it gets the qualities and the forces of the light and in this way, it goes and advance is until it resembles the light in all of its phases except for receiving the forces from the desire which it does not have, but except for the force that it receives from the light, all of his actions are like the light.

48. S. (50:40) You say that the Creator wants the desire to be more important than the light. How is this possible?

R. How do we do this with our children? That we want them to be greater than us, that whenever they want their desire, determines what we do? The child is the landlord.

S. In our situation?

R. To the extent we develop our love to the Creator, the light obligates us to do what he wants.

49. S. (51:34) It turns out that the last discernment in Malchut influences all three phases before it so she has control and these three phases serve Malchut?

R. Yes.

S. How does Malchut still have limitations?

R. To the extent she can resemble the light, there are no limitations, to the extent that she is under her own desire to receive. She has limitations, it all depends to the extent that she can raise herself towards the light.

Item 28 “Afterwards, he re extended a line of light from the ....” (52:26)

49. R. (54:13) Meaning the light expands in the desire to receive through the 4th phase and there are no limitations but only Dalet of Dalet, the fourth phase is the actual desire to receive and the three phases within are the real desires but on the expansion of the light of phases one, two and three and only four, in four is the will to receive of the light that expands in the will to receive and that is where the restriction takes place and all the actions. Even though we need to understand from here that we can't do actions on the upper light without all of the discernment that came before the first phase. 1 2 3 4 and then 1 2 3 within four it is the light building all of the relationships, all of the feelings, he is establishing all of these things in the fourth phase, this is why we can't separate these from those. But when we feel the action of the light in the fourth phase within the fourth phase and we feel it is entirely to bestow, the essence of the action of bestowing, from that we feel that the light went through the first three phases, 1 2 3 that is in Phase 4. It turns out by this the vessel can feel in the most sensitive place that it has, how the light works upon it, only in bestowal and in the opposite way of what he himself, the vessel, the way he wants to receive in reception. In this it turns out that the light is in the vessel. Here they meet in the fourth phase and the Kli, the fourth discernment feels itself opposite of the light. Meaning that the light entirely bestows only wanting to bestow and to give and he himself only wants to receive him just like Dalet of Dalet wanting the way that it feels itself. From this they already have for the first time through all of these states that have come out of the light vessel, a state comes that they feel themselves opposite and exist together as phase four of phase four and from here on the correction begins.

50. S. (57:39) Our discernments in the ten are different in the same reality except that we don't understand and see this?

R. We don't feel yet, the fact that we are learning about this now is because we want to start feeling where are the first discernments of phase 4, where is my place in the fourth discernment where I'm giving and not receiving, where they shame that will obligate me to do something also. We want to discover this in us, these discernments and we need to speak about it and repeat it and read about it a few times until it will settle in our mind and in our hearts. It's not simple, these are things that are supposedly simple, the light, vessel, desire to receive, desire to bestow, the Creator created it, the host, but we need a few times to try to read it in order for this to give us an inner feeling of where it is within us.

51. S. (59:24) In our 10 we aspire and yearn for the Creator to discover him and does this happen after the restriction?

R. Yes.

52. S. (59:59) There is a friend from the 10, why is the restriction in this necessary action to reach a complete state?

R. He gives the vessel he lets it perform a free action that does not depend on the light pressing on it, the vessel wants to come out of the control of the light to determine his attitude towards the Creator, towards the host in an independent way, this is why there must be a restriction here. He cannot suffer to feel himself as a receiver because it is opposite of the effort of the Creator which is entirely to bestow.

Chapter 8 Item 29 “Hochma is called light and Hassadim water....” (01:01:32)

53. R. (01:03:02) He is starting to explain here that with the light expanding into the there are four phases two of the phases come from above called Hochma and Bina they come from the Keter, the Keter is the source, more than that we cannot speak about so from that source we get Hochma and Bina, they are the upper qualities and ZA and Malchut are the qualities in the created being. That is why we have a division here into four phases, that two of them belong to the Creator and two supposedly belong to the created being.

54. S. (01:04:10) Is the pleasure from receiving in order to bestow and bestowing in order to bestow, how do we know we received in order to bestow?

R. Before this you need to perform a restriction please stop receiving from the Creator and then when you receive you are already doing this with your reflected light in order to bestow and then in your reflected light you can check as much as you can receive in order to bestow. Because you take your abilities to receive and enjoy according to the Creator and you calculate how can you fill his desire and let it fill you, then you really need to be in contact with the Creator, the host, in order to receive from him the maximum that you can with your intention will be to the host. this is how you make the calculations.

55. S. (01:05:47) Why is there such a hierarchy with the air above in the water build?

R. We will see that water and air are all of these words are different kinds of light. Let's say the light of Hassadim is water, the empty air is light without the light of Hochma. We’ll learn all these discernments. There is nothing in this world that does not come from spirituality so imagine how many discernments we have in spirituality.

56. S. (01:06:43) You told us that we need to feel everything that we are learning. I am putting my intellect for an hour and a half into thinking about drawing the reforming light, how do we advance in this study?

R. I have nothing to recommend to you except Rabash writes, find it in his articles what you need to do.

R. (01:07:21) This is where it starts becoming clear, what is that clear today will become clear by tomorrow as tomorrow we are going on the explanation of the expansion of the light of Ein Sof into the four phases, so tomorrow we will understand more of what we read today. I understand from and from this scrutiny that we are doing, obviously you can't learn or understand where we are but just know that in the wisdom of Kabbalah it is written from the beginning to the end that first you have to go through the material all the way to the end as much as you understand or not. You have to know and hear that there is something like this. Afterwards you can repeat it again, a bit more understands here and there, and then a bit more and only by this, only by repeating it a few times and it is written that whoever went through it a hundred and two times or 101 times or someone that read it a hundred times, even in that one time there is a lot of difference. Each time we are establishing our inner vessels, not that we can't grasp what we are reading here in our mind as we don't have the feelings for it, we don't have the discernment for it this is why every time we repeat, we update ourselves to understand more. Meaning our desire gets formatted from what we are reading about and from this we advance. We will stop here, don't worry everything will be clear in the end from us doing it upon ourselves.
