Part 1: Preparation for convention “Raising Above Ourselves”

Lesson No. 1: Approaching the Creator Through the Network of Connections Between Us

1. Rav’s Introduction: When we think about the words of the Kabbalists as they address us and recommend for us to assemble into small groups in order to be able to address the Creator and merit the Creator caring for us as of course he cared for us even before that but nothing happened but only through his care. But when we address him and he begins to answer our deficiency which we and all of us together in all of our small groups, all of us uniting in order to turn to the Creator. We want the Creator to turn back to us and it should be felt in us and will work on us in such a way that the desire of the ten will be like the desire of the Creator and for us to appeal through each group to the Creator and the Creator will also turn to us and in such a way we will come to a connection with the Creator and this will come from the connection between us. What happens first? Certainly first we need to unite, assemble and connect according to the rule of the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator. If we want to attain something it is only out of the connection, the form of connection, the power of the connection between us and to that extent we can already come to the same form and intensity of connection and revelation of the Creator.

Therefore, I need to connect to my friends, to all of the participants in my ten in such a manner that I need them and it’s not that they need me but I need them. I am searching how I can invest myself more and more in them because to the extent of my investment in them in the ten it is according to that measure that I can express my inclination to the Creator and to the extent which I feel that I owe them, that I owe the ten. I eventually will discover my deficiency for the Creator. Here there are many forms of connection, of demand from a person towards his ten as actually I need to see in the group an opportunity to bestow to the Creator. As precious as they are to me that's how precious the Creator is to me, as close as they are to me this is as close as the Creator is to me, and more and more. All of my measurements towards the Creator are not towards the Creator but only towards the group. Towards the Creator I have no possibility of measuring, he doesn't exist outside the group. The Creator is always called the inclusive and the incorporated all together, the sum. I need to constantly translate my attitude towards the Creator as my attitude to the group. Even more than that we're all together as much as I and in what way and the power and manner that I relate to the group that is exactly the attitude, manner, and form of my attitude to the Creator. As it is written, that behind every friend the Creator stands. Therefore we need to be thankful for this means, this group that truly connects each of us as we are connected through it each of us is connected to the Creator. Otherwise we would have no possibility.

The group cannot exist without the Creator, without the force that unites and connects and sustains it and also, we, the creatures could not connect and also the Creator the concept of the Creator does not exist. Only by the group we discover Him, we arrange Him and we build Him. We even make him as it is written, ‘You made me,’ said the Creator. Therefore imagine to yourselves how the attitude to the group, which is that which reveals the upper force, discloses the upper force to the creatures where there is even more than that outside of us which does not belong to us. This special thing, this very special wonderful result within our connection which we make the Creator. It is not to us but something that emerges from outside of our framework towards Him which is called contentment that we bring Him.

This is something that we are yet to scrutinize. Therefore as people gather into the ten, they perform a very special action, a very exalted action which is as the ending of everything that the Creator did. From the group and onwards the work begins to be that which the created beings do from below upward towards Him. Therefore everything starts and everything ends in the ten. Without the ten we cannot depict spirituality, the spiritual world or the spiritual essence, rather what is revealed is revealed only in the connection between us to the extent in which it appears to us as corporeal and regular, even childish and other kind of ways that we can't accept it with our desires but in truth the connection between us and the annulment of a person of each and every one towards his ten and then to all of humanity, to all the souls. This annulment and connection is actually what raises us in understanding, attaining, adhesion and in all of the corrections until the end of correction. Whereas the end of correction is simply considered that way all connect together as one man in one heart, each with everyone and this is how we reach one man. The image of one man is the end of our corrections and after that, after we correct ourselves to one man, then we are yet to see what the Creator has prepared for us. All together through that we complete the correction that He prepared for us.

This corruption, this shattering, this disbursement and distancing. We are yet to reveal many more things that we need. The main thing we need is for each of us in understanding, in feeling and attainment in all that is possible that emerges outside of a person, oneself in the direction of the group rises above oneself, one's personal ”I” towards connection. The more that is possible to enter connection. So much so that he doesn't feel himself as existing on his own and that his main essence, his main efforts are in annulment, incorporating, in diluting himself within the group such that he replaces gradually, slowly degree after degree by which way we measure the degrees the extent to which a person replaces his mind and heart from individual to general. 2. S. (14:39) What are the advantages in virtual connection as opposed to physical connection?

R. There is a difference as physical and virtual connection is actually the same connection, it needs to be emotional but, in the emotions, and the feeling it can be individual. It could be as much as one is connected to others, has prepared himself therefore, certainly there are differences. Other than that when you sit together physically then there could be a feeling of more connection in such a state. It could be that it is a falsehood and it only appears that way from outside as we're sitting in one place and in a real way, we might be distant from one another. It is written even about the students of Rabbi Shimon where they would gather physically but it is written at the beginning of the lesson that they wanted to kill one another to such an extent that their ego was disclosed and ready for corrections. Of course against that after the lesson where they gave their forces to connection, towards annulment, each towards the society to reveal the Creator in the connection between them, at the end of the lesson they reached already a result that was opposite that state that they had in the entry to the lesson. That is why we need to try between us for effort.

3. S. ( 16:41 ) I can't not feel myself, the maximum there is restricting me, not receiving and the ten is bestowing what is the next phenomena that needs to happen so I stop feel myself?

R. The clothes and desirable state is where I don't feel myself but rather, I feel myself Incorporated in the ten in a manner that I simply nullify there, as if I am not there. Only the ten exists, of course I am in it certainly as I can't feel something if I won't be but actually, I feel the 10, that is the vessel and it is everything when I am in them and I feel them as they are the vessel, the place that I am in. I want from this place to feel the extent to which I care for them as much as I nullify myself to them and to that extent as much as I am close to them and them to me. In the attainment of this connection, I address the Creator and feel how the Creator in return relates to the entire group as one and also me after all the group as I am holding on to it as much as I am capable, Tuesday extent I am capable I also feel that the Creator is caring for us.

S. Still the restricted part stays somewhere?

R. I can't talk to you about things we have yet to go through. When you try then we will talk from reality and not philosophy. You are advancing good and nice but don't jump above, from degree to degree is how we ascend.

4. S. (19:41 ) From the beginning of the lesson and what you just said oh, thanks to the Creator the organizers included Us in the Congress preparation and even though we have to sick friends who are here, we all came together for these preparations which gives us a huge power and a new sense of connection and there is this great joy of preparing together for the Congress, connecting around that. There is a sense of joy and gratitude.

R. Together we will continue that way.

5. S. (20:32) What is the significance that our ego needs to be ready to receive the corrections, why do we need to discover our ego?

R. That is a very deep and broad question because our ego is everything. Besides our ego which the Creator created and established as the opposite of himself as the advantage of light from darkness as we have nothing else. I need to actually be concerned with what is happening with my ego, how special it really is and how complex it is, how it is in all kinds of varied colors with what composition, how do we advance from one degree to another, even more near the Creator to us learning about our ego. To the extent it operates in us and holds us and doesn't let us advance, returns, brings us back on all kinds of actions showing us how we are not capable of anything and that only the Creator can help us. That is why our ego is the loyal servant, it is the Angel, it is a special force that operates in such a way to disclose the Creator to us, because without us without our ego we would not know the Creator. You saw how little children are in our world and we need to learn from them. They see and feel only what is before them and no more than that what does the Creator do, he adds ego to them and then he wants something else and another thing, like a little monkey he wants to be similar to the parents and so on. The ego that is in us makes us and specifically people of this world and also as he develops us, to being similar, resembling the Creator and that is why it is called a help against him. This is what is written about the ego that it is help against a creator by it being revealed in us will you begin to feel the needs specifically for advancement just like in our corporeal life. We don't yet understand his spiritual actions to us but it is all throughout the ladder to the end of correction. Therefore our whole study is such that the advantage of light comes from darkness, so first darkness comes and when the light is revealed we can see the extent to which the light is special. That it has an advantage but without that advantage above the darkness we would not be able to reveal the Creator as good.

6. S. (24:47) I heard from you maybe in correctly but I heard that I have to get closer to the friends because I need them and not that they need me. Is that not mutual?

R. I talked about the things that are close to us as we always start from that which are close to us and then we develop. Actually what did I want to say, that we are starting to learn about the upcoming connection we're each of us needs to be interested personally standing on both feet and understanding, as one needs to understand and to think and study that without coming closer to the ten and feeling the ten as the only main means, certainly the Creator's force will be revealed in him but not in the ten. A person needs to see it this way that I need the ten and in the ten, I come to the Creator. To the extent which I nullify and connect to the extent that I need and I help them and how they help me, all of the work is actually work inside of the ten. The main thing is to not leave this and to constantly, all of the time strengthen it. We are in such a process that the whole world will follow us after that and you will see that it is not that far. People that are operated by the upper light, the influence of the upper light on our egoistic desires will do everything that the light will want. That is why if the Creator will want, God willing it will happen.

7. S. (27:07) Do you recommend us to gather before the lesson as you say when you see us gather it brings you joy, I wanted to ask why is the gathering of the ten before the lesson so important?

R. Because that is the exact place and time of connection. Even as I wake up a little earlier and sit before my computer and read all kinds of things, that is not enough because that is me. But when I come before the lesson and I see in those 20 minutes of preparation for the lesson that is what builds me differently. I start to feel the general Kli more, what it thinks and what it wants, what it expects its inclination and what it covets, what is the resistance and the clash. All those things together, I don't quite enter into details because I have to prepare myself for the lesson but this is very important. Meaning I would not be able to start the lesson without us doing such a preparation for it, without me doing a preparation. During the lesson we are connecting, learning and entering even more in different manners to a place into the area of the Creator. Each lesson we are somewhat advancing so we just need to raise our sensitivity together as the concept of us together and to feel the extent we are entering his field. Our attitude is already the Creator and that is what is missing.

S. About the togetherness you mentioned, I noticed when there are many questions it brings you joy, why is that?

R. Because there's no Creator without the created being, as the concept of the Creator seemingly this force is not in reality but to the extent which we connect between us, the shattered parts which are distant from one another to the extent that we connect then by that we draw from the light of Ein Sof which doesn't come to us. We draw its bestowing on us and this comes to us and influences us to the extent we want to unite and then we build him, we build the Creator with the influence of the upper light on us. So there is a part that influences all of us and there's a part that influences all of his parts and manners upon each of us and in such a way we discover, maybe don't even feel yet but we draw on ourselves special influences on each of us even though you don't know about it. All together the upper light is working, these are things that we will learn just for us to have an inner small feeling, a little NRNHY from each of us that we will engage practically in the connection between us.

S. In this connection between us before the lesson what should we put the emphasis on to take advantage of this time optimally?

R. That I can't without them, as I cannot without them. That is how it is, when I used to study with Rabash I didn't even know or understand anything, not even having the desire or the yearning, there were very different times throughout the years. We learned every day, something, somewhat during the time that we are traveling or returning on our daily stroll or we would study in the park, that I would take books, or when we would come back home, we would sit at home. Sometimes it would be raining so we would remain at home and there were the hours that we would sit there. It was at least 4 hours except for the lesson every day with him so he would study, I would sit like that as much as I could understand and as much as I could hear but we would learn and I felt it. He also explained that he must have someone as we are learning in friendship, in a group which means at least the connection between two, what can I be connected to him with, like a baby that in a relatively passive way that doesn't understand or feel but kind of is there, that is also important that the person who wants to cancel himself before the environment participates. So he is as someone who is ailing, someone who is sleeping which even practically actually sleeping. As long as he understands that this is his form of participation, his maximum degree of participation that he is capable of for the time being and that is why and that is how he is, that is where he is. Therefore, it is not the wise that learns but one that as much as possible participates in ascribing himself to the friends or even one friend, about that we should never forget as a convention is called a place where we convene, we enter as we want to benefit from the convening. It was very difficult to receive and we don't agree with this. When we are at home we are constantly thinking ,what about me and only sometimes I think about what is with the group and then after that what is with the world Kli, that is a problem. Meaning it is not a problem as it's correct that this is how we in such a way feel the Kli but the truth is that we need to each time to direct ourselves to connection between ourselves and to the Creator and the Creator is in the middle of the connection and with that connection between us we must come close between us to such an extent that we will feel him.

S. When I asked you what to focus on before you said that I can't do without the friends, so in this gathering before the lesson, should we always start with how important the friends are?

R. I don't know, I will tell you how to come to my feeling. When I come from my room to the place that I am sitting now and teaching, I feel different. I look at you, I have a big screen and I see you. This sight, this vision give something as we are people after all, we need to be impressed by our five corporeal senses and from our heart to continue to put together these five spiritual qualities in love, connection, unity but it is not that I'm looking at your face and feel like I love you. Certainly, this is not what we are talking about. I feel without this force that is now before me, without one's intention to the Creator and inclination to the Creator even somewhat from each of us but it is the force, truly a place for us to enter and to be. Like being in a boat as written in “The Arvut” article that we must be that way. But each does not give such forces it is as if he is drilling a hole in the ship's wall and therefore when I come here even though it happened prior to that and here there are all kinds of materials where I all awakened and come and rise. When I enter and see you, it gives me immense powers and then from that feeling I can start a completely different lesson. I remember that also Rabash would look at the table where we sat, at his students, the disciples, the Hassadim and say what a difference in the people who are sitting, there who want to listen to learn and to attain. For them this is a way of life, the students that today can be changed to tomorrow where everything can be inverted and they're Hassadim and their relatives this is how it is with them. As much as it will be for them today and tomorrow like it was yesterday, they are counting days and those are counting degrees and states that they are going through. This is a very big difference.

S. Those Hassid’s, they asked questions?

R. Most of the questions were from me even though there were others there. I was close to Rabash, knowing him well as I spent many hours with him every day, being next to him physically and therefore I felt him as close. Even though it was maybe not so pleasant to ask for me, it was different as I was his driver, being the one who cared for him, driving him to every place, to the doctors, to the hospital, to all kinds of places, to the sauna, to the beach, to every single thing. It was easier for me to ask but others that came from those who are just constantly coming and pushing both for the good and for the bad I was in a different place, a different standing. I'm not saying that it was always right and good and I also wasn't always using it correctly, in the right way. What can you do, it is a result of the corruption. That is how it is. You can also maybe hear this during the lessons, during events, that I was usually the one asking questions. If I felt there was a place for a question and others were holding back, I would ask.

S. Is it possible that a lesson would go by without you having a question?

R. There were such lessons, not many but there were such lessons that I would fall asleep and not be capable of waking myself up and he would sit next to me and say are you hearing what I'm saying? I without not even open my eyes, I would just nod my head and say yes, there were sometimes very difficult states. I would go out and wash my face and drink another cup of coffee, in the lesson you could smoke, I used to smoke and also to use every means that was possible in order to not fall asleep, to incorporate more. Since the main thing is the incorporation, there are those people the incorporation is expressed in a more external way, physically and our people in which it is expressed in a very internal way. On the outside they cannot, they are holding back with a certain part shut down and we also know in certain people, those four types of characteristics of Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic, Phlegmatic. Those are also against the 4 phases, the four personality types, so accordingly we have every degree in spirituality which has to do with the manners of connections of the friends and therefore I am not belonging to people that can very quickly and easily discover the inner feelings of their hearts.

Rabash was even harder on that front, but there were friends that would jump and work and sing and it's good, but each according to his place from the general Kli as much as there is in each of us there are those for discernment. It depends on which combination of them, what merging. We need to try with the rules that the Kabbalists give us. We need to try to implement, adopt and use them as much as possible to take examples from the friends as well as much as one will help his friend, as much as there are examples from friends, as much as they can in revelation help one another, help, hug, sing, we love such people even though maybe we ourselves are not like that. So we need to thank them as we need such kind of people because the more and more that we advance in spirituality then to the extent we appreciate the ability in a person to break out and move and drive everyone, it becomes harder and harder for others. I am not successful at that and that's how I have been my entire life.

7. S. (46:41) I recall the Arava Congress where everyone in the morning lesson fell asleep and was ashamed about it and you were like a merciful mother who said it's not that bad to fall asleep. What does it say or indicate when a person falls asleep in the lesson?

R. I also felt it from Rabash but I was sitting next to him and would fall asleep and before me is a book, no computers, a book before me and a book before him and maybe another 12 or 15 people sitting. I could not hold myself from falling asleep, I would close my eyes and with force I could not open them, it happens. It is hard especially as I respect here such friends who are always awake and alert. I've been talking already for 50 minutes, so it's like I'm awakening myself all the time. How are you not falling asleep, I don't know, but you are being quiet. So there were such times for me and there is none wiser than one with experience, where I would truly not be able to hold myself. I would fall asleep but slowly it gathers a person up and he understands his nature and the nature of the group and this is how we advance.

8. S. (48:55) Can one say that the ten is weak as we only have a few numbers of people, how can we scrutinize that we are strong?

R. Look, I can't say much about the Chinese group all together, I know mostly through the screen, except for Owen, our dear beloved one who is truly a friend in my heart. All the rest I know but not so close, what can I say, it seems to me like we have the possibility to reach the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah in China, it could be in a different way than that which we write for all of our students in other places. China is a very unique country that we can see from history, geography and psychology perception of reality, the extent to which it is truly a special planet of its own. When I was in China and met there with Owen a few times I felt according to the people and the nation there that are in the streets, that they are ready, that inside they really want to know more and we need to adapt ourselves to the wisdom of Kabbalah in a way that we explain to children, in the way that we explain to women, to men. We need to each time adapt the wisdom of Kabbalah to that special civilization like in the case of China. Today it is not like it was 50 years ago. In order to enter there and teach in an open manner we need to take on ourselves a certain suitable clothing so it will be good in the eyes of people, in the eyes of the government, in the eyes of the whole world. The bottom line is that we don't have in our method anything that can harm anyone in any way, that is against someone.

Therefore we just need to have the correct wrapping that will enter the feeling of it being close to that perception, that understanding that we have, for each nation has a different character and a different form of perception in their understanding of things. To the extent they learned the wisdom of Kabbalah they will advance to a great correction. All together in the whole world it is considered that the people of Israel are smart, where are they smart from, didn’t they come from the same apes as everyone else? All together we assembled in Babylon a few thousands of years ago so people engage there just like us, just like you see on the big screen today. It is really all of us. Like they are showing right now, this is what we had in Babylon but when we show something that is above our intellect even though we didn't understand or feel but we were inclined to words, already the informing light influences, like surrounding light and advances us.

This is illumination after illumination throughout the Millennia, maybe three and a half thousand years ago is when it operated in us in such a way. Other than the fact that there were exiles and wars, I am just talking about these phenomena of development and until this day it has not disappeared even though it was ready, from a long time ago. Today who are the people of Israel, it is like everyone. This is why we need to understand the method when it comes and needs to be suited and adapted to the nations as much as possible. This power called China, a superpower with immense potential. They need to enter closer to spirituality. I don't want to know or get into this but I'll say one thing that they have a great thirst for it and they weren't connected to religion, to anything. It is not simple, it is just like that but we will discover this special approach that the creator has through the Chinese people to all of humanity. To build all kinds of businesses and factories, we will see it. That's why, if possible, through the group, through our group in China to think of how to disseminate, there the wisdom of Kabbalah without the name or any signs that it comes from Judaism, maybe a philosophy or science something that is closer to a regular person maybe this would be good.

9. S. (57:04) Those of us who live in the Americas it is hard for us to arrive at the lesson preparation because of the time we just get out of work with other obligations, so how to increase our efforts?

R. I understand you, I don't know as it is a matter of habit, you and most of the group I see attending with us so first of all I see that you are overcoming and you are with us even though it is a special time. At least you are doing this after your work or maybe in the middle of the day as there are people where it is truly in the middle of their workday and they can't ever be with us on the live broadcast. If they can't and they are obliged to study in other hours through the recorded lessons, it won't lessen anything for them. It is considered that there is no redundancy or lack here as it simply comes down upon them. Just like the Chinese that I mentioned, that is why I think that there is no problem with being sorrowful that you are or aren't with us in the live broadcast and you will receive the same thing if you watch the recorded lesson. If you have questions from those that are having to watch the recorded lesson then you must send those questions to us to the heads of departments of the different languages and through those department heads, I will receive those questions already translated and I will answer them during the time of our regular lesson. So then we will do another 10 or 15 minutes of questions and answers during the lesson or some other time if we don't have time during the lesson. Regarding those questions that you cannot be in the lesson, we are coerced to do so, to follow those friends in such a way.

10. S. (01:00:28) Where is the transition from me to we and where is the necessity to join those parts to yourself?

R. The transition from the ‘I ‘to ‘we’ is dependent upon the upper light just like he cut each and every one of us from the general desire of Adam in such a way He connects us in return, on the way back. Because the corrections are always from light to heavy work as usual, as we learn also in our world, we ourselves and do something from the light to the heavy, from the easy to the hard. This is why and how we need to collect ourselves as the main collection that we need to do is called the ten where we assemble and we begin to reach a connection between us. Then in the connection we will discover phenomena of unity and the attainment of the unity between the friends is already the attainment of the Creator. The force that created us as one and then “I have created the evil inclination,” He put inside of us the ego which shattered us in all of the different directions. In all these different ways and when we invite him in return, He collects us and connects us and accordingly from the connections from the light to the heavy just like we understand, it works gradually in the right direction logically. Meaning our work is only in connection and in the connection where we start to feel the work of the Creator the way that he connects and what he does, how he spins each of us in order to adapt my part to your part, his part to ours and so on. Through this we feel upon our flesh, upon our mind and our desire we will see how he collects and brings us together in a way that we will understand him. This is called from your deeds, from that which the Creator does we get to know you. you will start to get to know him, you will recognize him, knowing his general heart and mind. The main thing is that quality called unity, the attainment of unification and that is to us as a thing and ourselves, the extent to which he connects between us and this is all according to the inclination, to our coveting of this. Here, as there are many things that we need to do on our own even though we don't want to. As if, we don't draw a light, but surrounding light because the desire itself we don't have but it is as if we are engaged in connection and then the surrounding light begins to cross this barrier from Lo Lishma to Lishma, moving from the corporeal to the spiritual that we can cross the barrier and draw the reforming light so it works on us. This is how it works, we need to feel this on ourselves and to do it.

11. S. (01:04:48) In the ten we treat the topic of questions very cautiously before we ask a question, we first write it down and it goes through a check in our chat to see that it's in the right place and if it adds to the lesson and we discuss it, in doing so we see that the main reason we want to ask a question is to be in contact with the Creator. Is this really a correct attitude to a question or should we focus more on the material and want to add to the discussion l?

R. There are several reasons and causes for the question and it could be that a student asked because he doesn't understand, it could be that he doesn't understand that he doesn't understand and that's why he asks. It could be that he wants to be or to show himself before others and he's not even aware of it, it could be that he is aware of it, it could be that he wants attention from the teacher and this is why he is asking. It's not important here the question or the answer but you can see this in the relations and the attitude that one gets. You can see this with kids. The main thing a lid wants is for you to look at him. He is pulling you all the time like that but what does he want? He wants that feeling of closeness, the feeling of security, some form of emotional fulfillment and feeling which could also be intellectual but mostly emotional. The most respectable thing is if we ask a question not because we want to know but rather that through this, we want to connect with everyone. Where the question is built in such a way that it obligates and connects the whole Kli. This is where the most important result comes from which is the general connection of the Kli, how does this happen? By some friend of ours that asked, so if a person thinks about that then really thanks to his question you still operate in the most beneficial way on everyone and himself. Nevertheless, it is good that you are doing scrutiny and criticism to your question and that you are asking, I would recommend to all the groups if you have a technical way to do this then ask.

S. (01:08:09) What did you say about criticizing before asking?

R. Before they ask, they're asking the friends what they think about that question and if the friends agree and think that it is worthwhile than they ask.

S. Yes, it happens online in real time while you're talking. So we the ten are clarifying what we are going to ask you and, in that time, you are talking, if I would be in such a discussion, I would not be listening to you because I would be attending to the discussion.

R. I don't know if you need to ask them but to ask a question that comes from the whole ten and receive an answer from it all together that is respectable. How is it taking place technically, I don't know, ask them.

S. It's not that we have a whole discussion, we just post the question in the chat and friends respond like a plus means it's positive and we don't discuss it.

R. I understand. it's just a question of how much you're disconnected from the regular flow of the lesson. I can't say, it seems to me that it is good. It all depends on how we can do this in parallel to the lessons, to the feelings, to all that we go through during the lesson. As I participate in the lesson, I am fully in it and I don't feel anything except for it. I can have a fever, a cold, with all kinds of things, but during the lesson I am actually almost disconnected from all phenomena. Also other things that are happening to me in life.

12. S. (01:10:43) Towards the Congress, besides the preparation of the ten before the lesson, what can give the ten the feeling of the whole world Kli like what you described about yourself?

R. We need to get into the convention in 10 days more or less? Next weekend. I think that we need to prepare for this. We need to come to a state in which we are all drawn to it, waiting and expecting it, the material is sharp, we don't need to know the material. We need to unite above the material in order to know the spirituality in it. That is why it is written that ''it is not the wise that learns", anyone can read. We want through the connection between us to get to those excerpts, versus and sentences to be felt in our common Kli. Then we will feel the spirituality in it. Why is the wisdom of Kabbalah called ‘the wisdom of concealment’? Because they call the Kabbalists that write, put in between the words the spiritual revelations, the same revelation of the spiritual force that we need and not the letters. That is why we need to prepare ourselves.

13. S. (01:12:53) About the state of connection in the ten. How to examine and to measure our state of connection in the ten and can each friend measure it in his feeling?

R. You cannot measure, you can examine but it's also not going to give you anything. We simply need to be maximally as much as possible or even more somewhat to be connected. I need to demand even more and more. That's it. There's no measurements in this. We are in the will to receive and we can work with it by cutting it into cubes and let every square number, the forces and heaviness, etc. We are simply working according to what we have in a maximal way as much as possible.

S. If a friend feels that he is in a certain state, does he need to express it or does he need to disregard what he feels ?

R. It is not important what state I feel personally. Altogether I don't take that into consideration. I come to the lesson with such states that the Creator arranges, don't rely on him he knows how to confuse and to do it in a way that is wonderous. There is no one that is more suitable for this. The way he confuses us and the way that they come to the lesson. You can start to hear with force and to enter into the friends and to want to be in their feelings and their words that they say. I don't say them as words that I heard yesterday, because today each and every one is different. Therefore I want to hear them from the same person, the same difference from today to yesterday. Then I become a new person each time, a new awakening and this is what I seek, the innovations.

14. S. (01:15:57) As we talked, we have 10 days ahead of us for the Congress and I'm curious what do you expect as the result of the Congress? What should we achieve as a result of the Congress? What should be our aim?

R. I want to look at the screens and before me I see instead of these faces, I want to see a feeling, a heart of each and every one. As much as they are prepared to absorb inside all the other hearts. As we see now in this picture, more, more, and more until from all this picture is from digital to analog. That it will all be one. To such an extent that we are all connected. Instead of a lot of pixels, I want to see no pixels, even more than that. That is what I want. If you ask me what the result of the Congress should be. is that each one acquires throughout the Congress the general common heart and in that common heart you can receive a new world, a spiritual world

S. When we compare our state from the last Congress, the Congress of Ibur, the unity event until then was also something fantastic. Until now, I feel that I listen to friends' questions and we are in a whole new state and I feel a similarity. Let's say a friend is asking from Latin America, from Italy, from Petah Tikva and we have too much common discernment, too much yearning and from these questions from the see these deficiencies and I think we are getting closer?

R. What is your question?

S. From Chanukah until the Congress, did we really go into a new state?

R. Yes and I hope that within these ten days we will go into another new state. Yes.

15. S. (01:23:02) What is the role of women in the preparation for the Congress? What form of connection do we need to come to?

R. What their role is? How should I explain this throughout the history of humanity the women were not in the front. They were in the background. It was respectable, it was said that a woman should be in such a way but then we see that through our development especially in the last 200 years so the women are gradually starting to come out of concealment and they are being revealed more. We are starting to feel how they really take this place. They enter science, culture and education. Well education of course, this is where most of the women are. We are speaking up about when we are educating younger generations. The women in the wisdom of Kabbalah, on one hand, were always very respected and always wanted to bring them closer. On the other hand, keep them in concealment. These two approaches supposedly not, cannot be combined and they think in our times there is no prohibition about it. There are no conditions. It is just that it won't disturb us from spiritual advancement if we can support. If not then we separate and we do not disturb each other that is the rule. No more than that

S. The question is what do you expect of the women towards the convention?

R. That is clear. I expect the women to give us forces, that is most of our audience. to give us forces of connection. That without them we will not be able to succeed. That must be clear, it's 70% of our people. That is what I think. 70% of our mass that is with a desire for the spiritual development and a bit also in spiritual development if they will want to it to happen and give it all their forces that each one will be able to relinquish their ego in order to reach the general connection, the force of the woman is the strongest force that there is. It comes against the Malchut. Men are the first nine in the Malchut and the woman is the Malchut in the Malchut. Then we will really for sure succeed in all our duties.

16. S (01:27:14) How is this convention different from other conventions? What other opportunities do we have here?

R. I think we've advanced in understanding feelings. We've advanced by understanding that everything is attained in the connection between us and that each and every one, to the extent that he annuls himself before his ten that is called his part, his sacrifice. Sacrifice comes from the Korban getting closer, by a person sacrificing himself, he is actually coming closer. Closer to spirituality to that place where the Creator is. The groups are all there, connected in the final connection, in their Maltikkun and the Creator is in them in the wholeness. Nothing changes, there is nothing new. Just towards us and it all depends as much on as we advance ourselves towards that final form that already exists. Let's make an effort and suit ourselves and adapt ourselves to that corrected form. That is what I'm expecting of you and specifically the women can do it.

17. S. (01:29:02 ) Why will the convention be in Russian?

R. I'm a very unique person, very unique. I see a few people are laughing here. You can laugh but I'm crying about it because I have special qualities that I cannot grasp languages. I can't absorb them. I cannot study languages. As much as I've tried, except for Russia. I do not know anything. Even though in Russian I can write and speak on different levels in a way. Well, once when I could really use this language, I could connect to each one and I used to appear in all kinds of places and levels. But in Hebrew, as much as I am here in Israel and as much as I am studying, I'm still very limited. My students know about it, I'm not ashamed about it, this is me and except for that, you can say that I don't really know any languages, any. I've studied for many years. That is why in order to extract out of me, I don't know in order to take out of me a bit more stories about Kabbalah, about working with the Creator, about the work of man. They want to have a congress in Russian. That at least there's another language that I can speak with and from that also may be to get something out of it and I'm not against it because I want to be open to everybody. If so, but I do not have any more languages at all. So we will see. We used to have Congresses in the Russian right? Once a year, we will do it.

18. S (01:31:42) A few days ago you mentioned the importance of connection between Russian-speaking women. How can all the women in the world help in this regard?

R. I don't know. Ask, speak, discuss it between you. I do not know exactly what is happening with the woman, but it is very important. The women's group, the Russian-speaking Russian women, are the biggest part of us. That is why it is worth also being connected to them more and to try and make a connection. I don't know I'm not dealing with it but it's important. I get a lot of letters from them even though I do not have the forces to answer them all but I see their livelihood. They are always in some connection in writing and so on. That is why I really respect it, I respect it. There is no place for holding in on the other end. There is a place for development. for opening the heart of women towards other women.

19. S. (01:33:24) What is the ideal state that we should come to the convention as a ten, the most prepared state to correct the ego or wholeness and perfection in the ten?

R. One doesn't cancel the other. We need to come with the biggest deficiency, revealing our ego in the greatest way, with the greatest coarseness and the desire to use our ego only for connection in bestowing through the friends to the Creator that can be. All these things have to be at the maximum level. Nothing disappears, every phenomenon that the Creator created in the created being has a place and it could be used correctly. We do not need to look at any phenomena, even the worst in people that we want to erase. No but only to correct, correct the way we use it.

20. S. (01:34:38) Do we feel the ten as something common or do we feel each friend in it as ourselves? How does it come together? How is it that the Creator is behind every friend? How does it go inside with the fact that he's in the center of the ten?

R. In order to attain the Creator we need to attain the force beyond the desire. We also need in order to know this force, we need to relinquish our ego and to enter the force of bestowal. Meaning to connect to the friend. It turns out that I annul myself and I connect to a friend and

I come to the Creator standing behind the friend. Clear? There's a force of restriction on myself, there's a force of connection to the friend, and then I already come to a state that we can be in contact with the Creator beyond a friend. That is how we need to see the state for now. Afterwards, we will see the system become more complex.

21. S. (01:36:05) Should we be concerned during the day for myself to the ten, for myself through the world Kli or in the world or does the entire work take place in the ten?

R. Both, there's work I can do in the ten with my ten together. There is work that I can do for myself towards the ten. There is work that we do within the ten between us. There is work from the ten towards the general Kli of Bnei Baruch and they're such that in Bnei Baruch that we do towards the rest of the world. That's it. My profession, my job is dissemination. I disseminate to the ten, with the ten together to the vessel of the BB and from the vessel of Bnei Baruch to the whole world. That is what I also try to do. I have meetings with the reporters and meeting with all kinds of different people that they through them, I also constantly try to be in dissemination. You see how you can combine all these things together.

22. S ( 01:37:31) How can we be in an ever-growing connection? What determines the acceleration?

R. Only the connection between us. As much as the friends do not seem, well I feel a rejection from them, the Creator wants to show this to me as much as I'm in my will to receive in my ego and cannot correct it. Therefore, specifically I need to invest more forces. We are ready in states that we already need to skip over it, well not skip over it, but not take the rejection into account. On the contrary, we have to take such an approach, such a way of connection that it will be above the connection. Meaning that we will use the resistance and purify it, the resistance and then in the part that was the most coarse, the hatred was the greatest. Now we have worked on it and I worked on it. Let's say, instead of resistance I made a connection and I came closer to the friends. In this place the coarseness remains but above it I make a restriction, screen reflected light, supposedly and I reveal or at least came closer to the Creator's by that.

23. S (01:39:14) Every time we meet with the ten, we feel heaviness?

R. Of course, that is exactly the spiritual heaviness and without the ten you do not have any spiritual phenomena.

S. At the end of these meetings we always come to a sense of unity and we do not want to disperse and this has been going on for a long time. How can we shorten all of this?

R. Think about it, feel how you can without turning the coarseness and rejection into connection without that you cannot come close to the Creator at all and nothing will happen. We must still connect. That is the main central condition. Look how much Baal HaSulam writes about it? How many articles he wrote about it

24. S (01:40:23 ) Is the woman's deficiencies different then the men's one?

R. Each and every deficiency is something else, something different and in addition there's a male deficiencies and a woman's deficiencies and for us it's still different. In spirituality it doesn't go according to our gender, men or women. That is why it is different there. There are certain coarseness called a man and a certain coarseness called a woman and it can change according to the reality of the screen and so on.

25. S. (01:41:50) In the upcoming convention it is expected that new students from the campus would also join from the learning center, what do we want to tell them?

R. What is going to be in the next Congress, I can’t say you have to call the organizers and ask them and scrutinize it with them you know me. I'm explaining it throughout these days we will scrutinize the best way that it should be. We will study from one Congress to the next.

S. We made the decision that the students can participate in the Congress for them it is going to be the first Congress so what would you like to tell those students?

R. I think the topic of our Congress that we are connecting, we are overcoming rising of where above ourselves to connect is the most important topic. It is the topic from where Baal HaSulam starts from his plea to people to students, even though it is the most undesired topic to apply to a beginner because he wants to know forces angels, what is happening in the heavens. The topic is such that we can speak about it with everybody. That is why we can participate in our Congress the whole world, anyone who wants. There's nothing in it that can confuse people, but bring them to the right direction if so, we will work together. First beginners I cannot say, you take care of them so you also be with them in connection with them and it is good that during the Congress you also connect to them and take care of them.

26. S. (01:45:19) When we meet in the ten, we reach a very good connection between us and we raise many questions but what is missing maybe is to come a bit closer to each other, in order to draw the upper light, what can we do?

R. You can do one thing that in the Congress you will have a lot of workshops and we will try to fill them with connection between the friends according to that same topic and to scrutinize more and more within the groups. Now we are giving you a let's say half an hour a day or twice as much as every group tries to be reconnected into groups. Also half an hour before the lesson, also in the Congress half an hour before the lesson, we will connect to a general connection and during the process of the lesson the flow of the lesson we also will include workshops.

27. S. (01:47:06) To the congress and the morning lessons two tens, one from Ukraine and one from Israel decided to come together and today we are two tens together?

R. I don’t know. As we learn it is always good for connection but is it successful, is it understood, does it demand too much forces and attention that you only take care of that and not the essence of the connection? I don't know, try. Still there is no wise as the experienced.

28. S. (01:48:00) How not to take your personal situation into consideration when you come to the lesson and work on uniting with the friends?

R. Because in the connection with the ten I can reveal for myself the essence of the lesson, the spirituality in the lesson, my spiritual state. Why should I look at myself if there, in the connection with everybody, and I push myself in there forcefully, where there, in such a way I can discover spirituality the spiritual world, myself in a spiritual way. I have no other way to come out of myself and to uplift myself. You see that is why such connections like in the lesson that we connect and learn together.

29. S. (01:49:14) How not to become a Hassid and expect inner change and keep ourselves?

R. I don't think we have a problem with Hassidut, and that a part of us can become religious or what in all kinds of ways. We are not aiming towards it, we are first of all wanting to keep, love thy Friend as Thyself and the next stage, is love The Lord your God and discover one inside the other. That this is the way it should be according to the structure of reality and all the external forms, that people want to clothe and pray and do all kinds of things. We are not speaking about it, it is not important to us. You won’t see any special signs of religion on our friends. It's not our custom and it's not our purpose and it's not close to us. We want to come closer to the Creator, to the upper force, ‘The Good That Does Good ‘and not what people have made from their searching, all kinds of philosophies and religions. Baal HaSulam explains what religion is and the essence of it.

30. S. (01:50:55) How do you use a difficult state that a friend got from above and can’t get loose off?

R. We try to come close to him and hug him and to help him rise. There are difficult states in this, that we also must participate in it, maybe in the whole group. Maybe it is the opposite, maybe you should give him some space and not press on him too much. There are all kinds of ways, but whatever the mind will not do, time will do. Don't forget that everything comes through the upper one, through the Creator, through Malchut of Ein Sof where it descends to there and comes back to us. That is why we need to ask the Creator and to turn to Him to ask Him to take care of our friend, that is the most beneficial.

31. S (01:52:12) When a specific friend feels strong resistance and he cannot overcome it, what can you advise us to do?

R. The way he behaves in the group or what are we resisting?

S. A friend feels a strong resistance, rejection towards another friend.

R. So we need to help, maybe not pay attention or maybe do all kinds of action. I don't know, there is no prepared constant advice for this, you need to work on it, we need to try to share it with everybody, maybe, maybe.

32. S (01:53:00) What is the significance of the corporeal time of the convention and is there a certain measure of coarseness that needs to be met till then?

R. I don't know. I cannot say. A person needs to invest as much as he can when he is connected to everybody, and more than that I can't add. Because through that he gets to spirituality.

S. Is there a limit that has to be filled by the ten until the congress, specifically?

R. We do not know what these quotas or measures are; later on when we reach degrees of bestowal then by the force of bestowal we can measure. As long as we're in the force of reception we cannot measure these things; we can only increase the force of reception and we are better not.

S. So actually what are we preparing for? Why are we preparing?

R. In order to better understand the material and to know that the main thing is our connection; in order to talk about it so that we will grasp it. And that we will have a few days to forget about it later on and get back into the work. I hope that during the convention we will have double as much people as we have now. And besides, when we come back then we will already have records from what we have been through, and therefore we become more successful; in one entry we will build the kli and the other one we fulfill the kli.

33. S (01:55:08) Question about sleeping in the lesson: There are states that a friend has no choice but to fall asleep, and obviously it’s better that he sleeps with us than in bed. But a lot of the time he does all kinds of small things that do not belong to the lesson but help him stay awake. So what's better that he sleeps or stays awake or does some things that aren't connected?

R. I cannot tell, there are many calculations here that I don't want to get into. A person needs to be as immersed as possible in the lesson, focused on it. He can drink coffee, smoke a cigarette, stand up, study standing up. There are people that put their feet in cold water, they put a bowl with cold water and it doesn't allow them to fall asleep. There are different ways, so do something; but not that you are engaged in something else.

34. S. (01:56:28) First of all the congress in Russian gives me contentment because of the big impression throughout the years of studying, specifically from the Russian friends. So my question is what is the connection between the language and the emotion, the duty and development of the Russian nation? What is the connection that’s so special? I do not have a Russian background.

R. I understand, but it is the simplest way in which I can express myself and speak in Russian. At least like in Hebrew and much more. Even though in Russian you don't have so many words to express spirituality like in Hebrew, because Hebrew itself came from spirituality. Before a group was formed it started with Adam HaRishon, with words and letters and all this thing. But later on it reached a state where they start to discover the roots of the emotion, and the connection between people and this is where the language grew from. Certainly, it came from different forms of connection between people, working inside the ego and above the ego, and all kinds of other forms of connection with each other. From that came the wisdom of Kabbalah itself, from this kind of understanding of the relations between people and also a language came as a result; language that people spoke with each other which was Hebrew. And later on from it, when it was later discovered in the ancient Babylon, also emerged all other languages. So it is not so important today what language we're speaking, and what is a person's mother tongue, because we were already given the rules to our connection and therefore, we can express it in any language. In spirituality itself there is no language. Language is only something that exists in our world, between these vessels. But In spirituality no, and Baal HaSulam writes about it. So use me as much as you can because I know Russian, I have the opportunity to explain all of these things in Russian too and maybe from this later we will have some kind of an addition.

S. My impression from the past, even though I'm not a Russian speaker, to say I love you in Russian it’s the closest to my heart, to reach the love of friends when I say it in Russian it sounds more natural than my mother tongue in Hebrew. How can you explain this?

R. Well what can I tell you, I understand you. In Russian there are much more powerful words than in Hebrew and in Romanian. Sure.

35. R. (02:01:16) We gather here to establish a society, this is our goal. Where each of us follows the spirit of bestowing upon the Creator, this is what we start everything with. To achieve bestowal upon the Creator we must begin with the bestowal upon man otherwise it is impossible to bestow upon the Creator. This is the condition, otherwise my attitude towards the Creator will not be one of bestowal. I first of all need to learn and position myself to bestow to another person and then I can bestow to the Creator which is called love of others and love of others can only be through revoking of oneself. There is a condition here, either I love myself or I love the friends. Thus on the one hand each person should feel lowly and on the other hand proud that the Creator has given us the chance, specifically us, the chance to be in a society where each of us has but a single goal for the Shechina revelation of the Creator, revelation of the force of love and bestowal for it to be among us, not in each of us specifically, that is impossible but only between us.

36. S. (02:03:23) Tell me please, what does it mean that the Shechina is dwelling between us, how to get such a state?

R. Try to bestow to everyone and to feel that everyone is yours, that it is all yours and not that you feel yourself but you feel everyone. That those that are outside of you this is the real you right now, you have a false perception, a flawed perception, that you feel yourself like you are being lied to, not allowed to see the truth, and you break out of yourself and you want to connect to others and be among them and that is how you discover the real world. The world of Truth.

S. How to hold the goal before me all the time? Because Baal HaSulam says we are rewarded in getting to a group that has one purpose, for Divinity to dwell between us, how to constantly hold it before our eyes in the ten and every action in the congress that it will ring between us?

R. We don't have anything else, we only have the lie, the opposite but the Shechina is the revelation of the Creator. The Creator is the force of love and bestowal that is revealed to the measure to which there are egoists that overcome their ego and connect above their ego to each other. Then they become a Kli for the revelation of the upper force, that is revealed in them according to their Aviut, coarseness according to the rejection between them that does not purify. The coarseness doesn't purify and so the measure to which they connect above the coarseness, nonetheless forcefully and then according to the difference and potential, to the measure to which they rejected each other and allowed to come close to one another, in the gap between the two the Creator is revealed. That is why it is called come and see, Boreh, always reach Him from the negative.

S. Let's say we have gathered in the Congress and we don’t have some special hatred towards one another?

R. That is not good, it means that we're not revealing spirituality, it is a sign we're not revealing spirituality and not that you need to feel corporeal hate like you might imagine. You need to feel spiritual hate toward each other, revealing the ego, the ego is a spiritual force. It's not that I simply don't want to be connected to others that are disturbing that are disturbing me in life, that is completely incorrect. There is something here that is above nature, that the force of hate and the force of love are spiritual forces. In our world we don't feel them. What we have is either rejection or an animal inclination toward each other on the animate level but on the speaking level we don't have it. That is only in spirituality and it's something we need to reveal.

S. We are learning about a spiritual connection and you are describing the Shechina where we melt in each other. What is hatred then?

R. Hate is what comes instead of love as a result of the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, in which once we were connected so much so, we were truly one. Then gradually the same connection is being revealed only in its oppositeness and the same connection and its oppositeness. Just imagine, once you loved someone, it is very much felt between spouses, they really love each other, they were so much together and there are probably many such movies, really heart to heart, in one heart, everything together. Then something happens, for some reason, could be that a third person came into the picture, a man or woman or something else, or the parents participated in it somehow, and they started hating each other. Then you have trials and courts and things and they hate each other so much that you can't imagine. Such hate that you don't have among people on the street. Here, one of them sees the other cross the other side of the road and cannot stand looking at that person, hearing anything about them, from them. Hate is vis-a-vis love, such great love. In our world what we see is corporeal hate but in spirituality it is a force that rejects a person from others terribly. That you start looking at others that they hate you and you hate them and you can't approach them. It is like a magnet that rejects him, and you can’t stand looking in their direction, you can't listen to what they say, the sound of them, their scent, you can’t stand any of it. This is the opposite of love because it stems from the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, the system that is in front of us. Something very special, so we need to prepare ourselves for such revelations, eruptions of hate and rejection and for us to deal with it. Deal with it.

37. S. (02:10) You said to prepare ourselves, how can we prepare ourselves if the hatred is going to be revealed, we might think it's corporeal hatred?

R. It doesn't matter spiritual or corporeal hate, love covers all crimes. I need to reach a state where I, near anyone who is from the Bnei Baruch group. Men and the same among women.

S. You said we need to prepare ourselves for the revelation of spiritual hatred?

R. We can discover hate only to the measure to which we aspire for connection, then the opposite forces will become revealed to us, but if we do not reveal the forces of hate then it is going to be hard for us. We will discover it on the way when we want to connect with each other and certainly each of us will discover how much he wants to run away from all these exercises, how unappealing it is and here we need to feel with this feeling and connect, nonetheless.

S. The hatred comes as a result of yearning?

R. Of course we don't reveal the true spiritual hate until we discover our inclination towards connection.

S. Can we say that if I don't reveal it so I am not there yet?

R. Certainly, no question about it that we still don't want to truthfully come to spirituality, at least to the very first degree it is not even the first degree, even 1% of the first degree.

38. S. (02:13:27) I don't know if it's the right question, but the feeling of mutual guarantee is it only through hatred?

R. We always need to discover reality in a thing and its opposite, otherwise we can’t feel it. I can just feel something that if I do feel something, for sure under that feeling I have also the opposite feeling and it points out that feeling that I feel as the main one. In our world it's not that conspicuous because it is light. Where is the darkness? I have darkness in my memory, in my records and therefore now I see, I feel, I enjoy the light. But where I do not have the record from the darkness, I wouldn't feel that there is light. We can reveal any phenomenon only from a thing and its opposite. Therefore we need to prepare ourselves both for hate and for love and to be above the two that I want connection and a connection can’t be in revealing the mishap. The Creator arranged such a force in order for us to rise above that and to continue and build our connection.

S. We need to relate to the friends as being concerned for them like a mother for children, how can a mother feel hatred towards her child?

R. Doesn't matter how that becomes revealed, it appears. I am not in control of what I feel I only need to know, how to work with those emotions, sensations that the Creator awakens in me. The question is out of place. I have rejection I have hate that's what I need to work on.

39. S. ( 02:16:18 ) In the quote it said only that love is only by self-annulment, so how, what's the easiest way, the quickest way to go from consent to me to concern to the friends?
