Part 2:

Rabash. Article 1, 1987. The Good Who Does Good, to the Bad and to the Good

Reading (00:22) “We say, “And all believe,” etc., the good who does good, to the bad and to the good..”

1. S. (12:05) We hear in the beginning of the article he writes that the Creator corrects both the will to bestow and then the will to receive as well, in the intention to bestow, and then he writes that there is a yearning in the person to leave all this corporeal dealings and feels that they have no right to exist, so where is the correction of all those corporeal matters and the will to receive if he just wants to let them go and rise above?

R. It is a process and in this process the person goes through, so let's say he doesn't want to do anything, he already disconnects from his will to receive and then he wants to turn it into in order to bestow and that's how it works.

S. How does he transform it to in order to bestow, let’s say inside myself I want to do everything for the benefit of the Creator, I don’t care about corporeality and so on, that’s just the first stage?

R. First you have to perform a restriction that you are not receiving anything that except for what you need for life, you’re supposedly saying all the rest doesn't interest me, all of my mind and feeling is in correcting myself and the world and connection between everyone, that's it. You don't need to just toss everything, nothing, you need, even if you are a millionaire, keep doing it no problem, the main thing is, what do you do with yourself, as much as you need the whole world, to turn it into the good. We will talk about it later; these are things that we are not going to finish now.

2. S. (14:15) Why does it say in the article that an individual receives a bad depiction about spirituality and a positive depiction of a corporeality?

R. Because that's the way it is, if he's in the will to receive, how can he get a positive impression from spirituality? Spirituality is telling him that you cannot receive anything for himself and everything that you get is only to bestow to the others, and to yourself, only in order to exist, so how can it be that a person will agree to that. We need to learn these things, that it doesn't seem to us that we need to be poor or not to receive anything that we don't need to think of our possessions or anything, why not? We need all these things, just the question is how you organize yourself towards the purpose of life, that should go up above everything.

3. S. (15:34) So according to Rabash, what does it mean when he says the bad vessels and the good vessels, what does it mean, what is the difference?

R. The good vessels or bad vessels, I guess it's in order to receive and in order to bestow, that's how it is.

S. But he says that if the bad vessels will be corrected in order to bestow, it’s a higher degree than the good vessels?

R. Of course, to receive in order to bestow is greater than bestowing in order to bestow.

S. So you just need to be a vessel just to make the inversion?

R. Of course, if a person has a week will to receive and becomes good, so he's good, but also weak, but if he was cruel and was very evil and he inverts himself into very good, so he really reaches a high degree, he who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater, too.

S. So that is the correction?

R. Yes.

4. S (16:55) We learn that we always work on connection between us, to reveal the Creator, the quality of bestowal between us, a person receives depictions, one time a good depiction about spirituality another time a bad one, different depictions that come up in him, where is the sin here?

R. The sin is that we do not know that our will to receive is evil.

S. But when there is a depiction that comes up you see that the will to receive is the worst there is and we want spirituality, that is one depiction.

R. No from this you want to run away from that you feel bad, in that way you cannot check that it was bad.

S. I understand what you mean but when a person receives depictions, they are depictions that come to him from above, he doesn't decide that this or that will come to me, so what is the sin here, here we are always to work any connection here, we’re always trying, whatever we can in connection because that's what you explain to us, Kabbalists explain to us and that's how we come to the revelation of the Creator between us but then a person starts having different depictions, where is his sin here?

R. I cannot explain that, we need to read according to the text and then we will find the answer, I don't know exactly what you are asking. The sin that a person does not acknowledge that he's in the sin, the fact that he sinning himself, no problem, that's the Creator putting him into all that, he's putting him in all those states, but because in these stays we should already know that sin and we don’t because we are not in the society, that we don't have Arvut and that's why we don't acknowledge that the Creator puts the man’s hand on the good fortune and says takes this for yourself, that's the sin. Meaning, towards man that cannot acknowledge the sin, that's called the sin.

S. So what is the person's part in this sin?

R. To acknowledge that he's in the sin.

Reading (19:43) “We say, “And all believe, etc., the good who does good, to the bad and to the good..”

5. R. (25:16) That's enough, we will continue afterwards, now we are going through to articles of Rabash, we are going to start combing them and according to them to start working, so you try to read this at home, these articles, the articles of Rabash that we are going to go through one by one, also in the morning lessons on the afternoon lessons, and it'll light our way, goodnight to everyone, all the best and go rest.
