Part 1: Recorded lesson - Sep 11, 2020

Excerpts from the sources: “Work with Faith Above Reason”. #37

Reader: Hello friends, in the first part of the lesson, we're going to continue the lesson we started yesterday from September 11th, 2020, “Faith Above Reason.” First, we're going to read excerpt number 12 from the additional excerpt form that was sent for the lesson. So, number 12, from the Zohar.

Reading: (00:31) 12. Zohar for All, Aharei Mot [After the Death], "Behold, How Good and How Pleasant", Items 65

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to also sit together.” These are the friends as they sit together, and are not separated from each other. At first, they seem like people at war, wishing to kill one another. Then they return to being in brotherly love.

The Creator says about them, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to also sit together” The word, “also,” comes to include the Shechina with them. Moreover, the Creator listens to their words and He has contentment and delights with them.

Reader: Let's go to the lesson.

Question (Turkiye 2): (01:32) How can we be in a dissemination for friends within group, to hold the friends in group?

M. Laitman: Very simply, talk together between us, with the friends. It's only through connection, discussing it together. That's the meaning of a gathering of friends, sitting of brothers also together, as it's written.

Question (Kyiv 2): (02:15) If possible, I'll repeat the excerpt we just read. If the whole world is inside of me, then praying and freedom of choice is also in the environment that I choose?

M. Laitman: Correct. That's how we learn, from the external way to the internal way. The whole world is within me, but this all leads to more advanced perception.

Question (Latin 2): (03:04) What is the role of the Ten in this sensitive topic of Israel with respect to the whole world? And how is this connected to the internal states we go through?

M. Laitman: I was talking about the future, right? It's, as I said half a year ago, Israel will be in a terrible state, and it didn't happen. But now, look, now I'm saying that the whole world will begin to turn to a state where the whole world will turn their backs to Israel. From the inner system, people will begin to feel. It's not that they'll know, they'll begin to feel that there is a problem in Israel. Why? Because, why a person says that he's anti-Semitic, and there's something special in Israel? It's very tiny, tiny, it's impossible to even see this country on the map. And suddenly it becomes the problematic spot for the whole world. Right? So that's how it'll be. We'll need to discover more and more in various ways. Mainly it's through writing on the internet together. In the way governments relate to Israel. All sorts of external problems between people in Israel, the whole world becomes more…It accuses, points the finger at Israel saying, “Israel are at fault,” against all reason, against all reason. And all of our writers, not our writers, all the writers of newspapers in Israel and the government, they will start saying, “No, we want to be nice to everyone,” and it won't help, it will do nothing. We know, we know, throughout all history, none of that helps, it's only our proper inner behavior that brings all of humanity in this, through this inner thread towards the end of correction, it's only that behavior that will improve their situation. And if we don't pull that inner thread from us to the end of correction, everyone will relate to us more and more negatively, and it will be worse and worse for the world, because the upper light shines according to our closeness to it, or according to how distant we are to it. And so the next stage, after the world digests that it's not coming out of this pandemic, it will now begin to discover that this is an extended path, which pulls us into an abyss, and who knows till when. And the cause for it isn't the coronavirus. Suddenly, it's not the coronavirus so much, rather the cause is the people of Israel, which are as they are, right? The Jews are at fault, and even though they cannot express it as we do. And we agree with them that the Jews are at fault; it's us, the Kabbalists, who say that the nations of the world speak correctly, the Creator speaks from their throats, but no one else will understand why. And then we will need to truly enter into dissemination in a very aggressive manner, and to explain this in a more and more open way, but this is something we need to prepare for now, to explain the system and how it exists, and not to be afraid about us drawing fire. No, we draw fire, it's the truth, it's the laws of nature, we have nowhere to run to. That's how we need to behave, that's our role. Why did each of you receive an awakening, to come to know the plan of creation? Besides that, you also got a good seat from which to see how this is all happening right before our eyes. It's as if we're sitting in the stadium and watching this game, this game that the Creator is playing, and we understand where it's all heading, what's happening. And we were awarded with this not because we're nice and good, but because the Creator wants to give us room to do work. And therefore, it is upon us to pull ourselves and the whole world after us to the end of correction. That’s it.

Question (Tel Aviv 1): (08:32) I wanted to speak about the work in the Tens. So, in our permanent Ten, you try each time to reinvent yourself, and to give additional points, additional ways to intensify the connection between the friends. But earlier, you spoke about breaking apart the Tens, creating random Tens. So, I'd like to tell you my impression, that what I remember from Congresses is those random Tens, working in random Tens. It was amazing work. It was work where I would discover each time in these Tens, new things that I wouldn't be able to discover anywhere else. So, the question is, is it only me, or is it also the same with the other friends? Because I remember that in the random Tens, I would discover amazing friends, I would discover new things also. I would find in myself things that I couldn't discover in my own Ten.

M. Laitman: I recommend to build a group out of a few people who will begin to develop this idea, to cultivate it. And then we will see after a while, if indeed we have sufficient proof that we should approach it.

Student: In the last congress, I sat in a Ten, where I looked around me, and I saw one is silly, one is sleeping, one is speaking in some language that I don't know - such friends that I said nothing will come out of it. And specifically in that Ten, I discovered something about connections that I never was able to come to in any other place. I simply saw how people gradually came together. It was just amazing, and I cannot forget it. From all of the congresses, I just remember this incidental connection. That's what I remember, not the dancing or being happy, just this connection. So, I think it's important.

M. Laitman: I'm envious of you, really. Enter the group that we need to establish, that will begin to examine the situation. And perhaps we will arrange it as we had in the great congress in Tel Aviv, our yearly congress. Or perhaps we will do it in the congress that we will have, let's say, over the holidays. In Sukkot, for example, perhaps  we can do such a convention where we change all the Tens around for a day or two, and then see how it works, if it's good or not. At least some impression we will have. It's interesting, because each one came from his own group and fell into a new Ten, and now we're all in such groups where perhaps it will be a different impression. I'm in favor of checking all these things. The main thing is that it will give us new flavors in connection.

Question (Tel Aviv 3): (12:17) Can you describe a little bit what is so special about the hatred that we now see in Israel? Many people don't understand what's special about all of these fights and conflicts. How are we different from any other people or any other nation where people hate one another or want to kill one another?

M. Laitman: Explain it to them, that's your work, to explain it.

Student: Yes, but I'm asking because I don't know how to explain it. What is special about us, about our fighting?

M. Laitman: Then don't explain. I have nothing more to say. I'm giving many discussions, conversations about this during the lesson and beyond. I don't know. I don't want to talk about that anymore. It's a question just like that. After you heard everything and you're asking it that way, then I have nothing to…

Student: Historically, we learn everything, but…

M. Laitman: Don't explain anything to me; if I spoke so many hours about this, and you're asking me about that, then I am not talking anymore. Because probably you can't grasp it. And don't explain to me, historically, or this way, or that way. From everything we spoke about, you can do a series of books on this.

Student: I'm asking about an Israeli citizen. What does he see? What should he see that it's different in Israel than other places?

M. Laitman: I talked about that too, where the people of Israel are from, why there's hatred, where it stems from, why we can't ever get along together. In all the states in history it's been revealed, from the ruin of the first and second temple, and so on and so forth. I've spoken about this a whole lot. I'm not talking with you anymore. You should know that you're asking a question upon which you will not receive an answer because it already has an answer and you can't open your eyes. That's it, that's how it is.

Question (UK): (14:43) You spoke about the attitude towards Israel deteriorating through all the nations of the world. But it seems at the moment that particularly with the Arab countries, that they're normalizing relations with Israel. The UAE said that they're normalizing, all of these different countries seem to have better attitudes. Is it a sign? Is it a good sign? Do you feel it's positive or what is it a sign of?

M. Laitman: I don't see any positive sign in this. It could be a positive sign only in one thing, that within Israel, first of all inside of Bnei Baruch and then inside of Israel, the corporeal Israel, there will be more closeness and more connection. The fact that there's a statehood closeness between the state of Israel and all kinds of other states, that does not do anything good for me. Simply, I have no attitude towards that. No, I can't relate that to anything. Let's say we're with Egypt in diplomatic relations that have been seemingly good for some time that I can travel there. Well, as if I can go there, I can journey there and come back. It used to be more, today it's kind of stopped as well. But it doesn't say a thing. We're talking about a connection in closeness towards the direction of the purpose of creation, meaning, after our dissemination where both in Israel and in the nations of the world we understand what the goal is, what our purpose is, all of us. That we need to come to being connected between us and then in us, in this connection between us will be revealed a state called corrected, the end of correction, a connection between us and the Creator, which is an eternal state. And this is what nature is pushing us, especially now in the time of this last generation. If we were to publicize this and accordingly measure situations then we will be okay. And the fact that there's some agreements between Saudi Arabia and Israel and something else, that's not pointing to anything, that does not state a thing. There's no joy in this nor sorrow,  nothing. I'm simply measuring our advancement on a different axis. I'm not disregarding it. It's good, because externally maybe this will maybe lead us to extend our dissemination somewhat some more. But only that is what our salvation depends upon,  of all of humanity from these blows.

Question (Turkiye 3): (18:11) If a person is being persistent and taking a role in dissemination, are these actions egoistic or are they an investment to a group?

M. Laitman: No, they contribute to the group, what's the question even? All the actions that we do in the group are advancement, no matter what.

Question (New York 4): (19:15) You said with regards to Israel, you already mentioned before, the connection between the U.S. and Israel - spiritual ego, corporeal ego, so are they interdependent? Is the decline of the U.S, can it raise Israel, or what's the connection between them?

M. Laitman: No, no, no, it's not that simple. There's no direct formula and simple linear formula that you can raise this one and lower that one, or vice versa. There is no such thing. It's much more complex because we are in a general internal Kli. There are not such formulas. In place of such formulas, you need to move to spiritual Partzufim, and then you can see things. For that, you need to examine and get to know the forces that are operating in each and every nation. We have, how it is a part of those 70 nations of the world that are disconnected from Babel, and to see the inner force that operates in each and every nation today, which is called the angel of that nation. This is not for us, and not for us to decide now, and I won't even tell you how much I somewhat understand that, because this leads only to confusion. In the future, yes, we will see it, and the whole layout, this whole picture of the general Kli of Adam HaRishon will appear before us in all kinds of forms. You can turn on - according to the nations, next time see it relative to the countries, or according to spiritual development, and so on and so forth. Yes, you will be able to see those things, and altogether, how this supports the general direction, of whether in due time or in haste, Beito or Achishena. We will talk about that. I hope, it's not far.

Student: What you said brought up a lot of questions.

M. Laitman: No, no, we're not continuing that.

Student: No, no, not about that. Just so with regards to our attitudes, both in terms of U.S. and Israel, the attitude is connection. We disseminate connection. It doesn't really matter the place of each one in the general Kli right now, just to promote the idea of connection, human connection, and that's it.

M. Laitman: Yes, that's clear. That's the work. That's the mission that stands before us, the goal.

Question (Tel Aviv 10): (22:52) I have a question about the random Tens.

M. Laitman: No, no, no, we're not talking about that. There's no point in asking about that. I just brought that up just like that, just for you to check whether there's a place for it or not. That needs to be done by a certain group that will investigate these things and see what's important, what’s not, and each of your opinions, and then bring us a summary of their study out of that. No more than that. We're not thinking about it or talking about it anymore. The changing of Tens, the random Tens, we will see according to the situation that we're approaching. Our holidays, maybe during the holidays, we will do a workshop, not a workshop, but a convention, and there we will do that. Tens for a day, they're different, and so on. I want from the group that will rise now and work on this to take on and to hear their opinion.

Student: Yes, exactly my question. If it's a state that it's a one-off or it's a…

M. Laitman: I don't know. Don't you understand what I'm saying to you? I don't know, and I don't want to know. I want to know, first of all, what your opinion is altogether, and then for me to talk what I think. That's something that belongs to you. Don't be like children - you're continuing to ask. You need to decide. This will give you a push to overcome.

Question (Latin 4): (24:58) Is it true to think that we should deepen our inner work in the Ten and at the same time to also increase dissemination, or the other way around, we just need to focus on one of them?

M. Laitman: You can't divide it to this and that. As much as you need to be all together, you also need to check and be concerned with external dissemination. One depends on the other. Of course, if it was possible, we would invest only in the connection between us. But the connection between us depends on the amount of support we receive from without, the support from the outside. So that's why we need to be connected to all the other Tens and the whole world. And it's all in order to connect my Ten, in which, specifically, I reveal the Creator practically.

Reader: We'll read excerpt number one. This is from Rabash, Letter 8.

Reading: (26:28) Rabash. Letter No. 8

At the end of the day, this is a group of people who have gathered to be together in one place, under one leader. With superhuman courage they face up to all those who rise against them. Indeed, they are brave men with a strong spirit, and they are determined not to retreat one inch. They are first-class warriors, fighting the war against the inclination to their last drop of blood, and their only wish is to win the battle for the glory of His name.

M. Laitman: Next.

Reader: Excerpt number two. This is from Baal HaSulam, Letter number 49.

Reading: (27:26) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 49 - Twice

I order you to begin to love one another as yourselves with all your might, to ache with your friends’ pains, and rejoice in your friends’ joys as much as possible. I hope that you will keep these words of mine and execute this matter to the fullest.

Reader: From excerpt number three, from Baal HaSulam, letter ten.

Reading: (28:33) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 10

Do what you can and the salvation of the Lord is as the blink of an eye. The most important thing before you today is the unity of friends. Exert in that more and more, for it can recompense for all the faults.

M. Laitman: There is no blow, diseased state in the world and altogether in our lives, corporeal nor spiritual, that cannot be corrected by connection. Because from the shattering of the Kli, the spiritual Kli of Adam HaRishon, ever since, all the problems come to us. The lack of light in the Kli is the problem already. This is called the harshest of the harsh. And that's why, on the contrary, the connection of the Kli, which invites and draws the light into the Kli, into being an equivalence of form, and we must do this forcefully, to take these parts that have resistance between them, like a magnet that rejects both poles, we have to nevertheless connect these parts, and then accordingly, as much as we do this, the lights will begin to illuminate in those connected parts above the repulsion, the mutual rejection between them. That's called, “My sons have triumphed over me.” Where the Creator separates between us, does the shattering, and we demand of Him to observe this connection, to keep it. So He does this and that. He did the shattering where we weren't yet in reality. Now we're demanding from Him to connect between us, and then “My sons have defeated Me.” And then He is revealed. That's called, you have made Me. This is why with all these forces that push us from one another, to see them as the appearance of the Creator, that it's Him that's doing this. He's not letting us connect, so that we will grow and understand how it's possible to beat  Him.

Reader: There are a few more excerpts. Number four, from Rabash, from “The Good Deeds of the Righteous Are the Generations,” in the Work?

Reading: (31:26) Rabash. Article No. 5, 1991. What Is, “The Good Deeds of the Righteous Are the Generations,” in the Work?

We ask the Creator to give us the strength so we can perform all our actions for You, meaning for the sake of the Creator. Otherwise, meaning if You do not help us, all our actions will be only for our own benefit. That is, “If not,” meaning “If You do not help us, all our actions will be only for ourselves, for our own benefit, for we are powerless to overcome our will to receive. Therefore, help us be able to work for You. Hence, You must help us.” This is called “Do for Your sake,” meaning do this, give us the power of the desire to bestow. Otherwise, we are doomed; we will remain in the will to receive for our own sake.

M. Laitman: Today it's not just to remain in the will to receive, today its entering into problems, into troubles that they will let us remain in this. Meaning, the Creator will, He’ll make sure that we come out of this, but in a long filled with suffering way. That’s why it’s called - the path of Torah or the path of suffering.

Question (Florida): (33:07) You know, like a child feels his mother and he demands from his mother. How can we feel that it's the Creator that we need to demand from?

M. Laitman: A child feels his connection with his mother while he is still inside his mother. He comes from his mother and then he comes to her as she belongs to him. Each child looks at his mother as his assets, that she owes him. And then, in such a natural way, he comes to her with claims. We don't feel that way towards the Creator. That's a problem. If we were able to feel that way from the Creator and demand of Him -  that You created us, You did all these states to us, You gave us all these possibilities in every single state, You are giving us the free choice how to go. And then we choose the way in which we depend ourselves on You. And therefore, in each and every state, in the smallest possible way, in this most minute way, we turn to You. Help us. This is called raising MAN, praying, because nothing can be corrected unless it's through the request for the Creator to give us the forces, give us the understanding, give us the feeling, give us an example. That's what we demand. And this is what we need to do. Therefore, if we think that we ourselves will do something, it's true stupidity. It's stinking pride. We need to get used to directing ourselves each time to the Creator, each for the group, the whole group, for all of our groups, everyone together for the sake of all of humanity, and everyone, of course, towards the Creator to be revealed in us, and then He will connect us and rejoice from us. For His revelation in us, will bring Him and us the joy of the end of correction. That's what we need to be, in this constant request, in this constant prayer, in this constant seeking. Do I have something to turn to Him with or not? What else do I need to gather? What conditions and details do I need to gather in order to connect to the Creator? Our prayer is already a demand for connection. Don't forget it.

Question (Moscow 3): (36:34) In the first part, first excerpt, it says, those who have courage, brave of heart. What is it about?

M. Laitman: The heroes, the brave of heart, is called that they can overcome their hearts. That's called the heroes of the heart or the brave of the heart, as they can triumph over their heart filled with egos, with all their calculations, and they can overcome that and turn to the Creator and ask, demand of Him assistance.

Student: When we begin to work and reach the limit of our ability, we see that we are rags, that we can't do anything. I don't understand how that connects with brave and courage.

M. Laitman: That actually happens to us between us in such a way. When I come to this state of having no strength whatsoever, then I come to the state where the Creator can help me, and then I turn to Him. Then I turn to Him. Continue, you'll receive all the feelings from this. These are excellent states, they build you, they truly build the right connection between you. That's how it is.

Question (PT 10): (38:18) You talked about connecting the opposite parts by force. My question is, what makes the pieces opposite, and what is the force with which we connect them anyway?

M. Laitman: We want them to be connected. Not that they're connected, we want them to be connected. Therefore, that's the whole request, that's what the whole shattering is for. When do we feel ourselves shattered, not capable, we need to discover the measure of shattering between us, the measure of distancing from the Creator - it's the same thing, the distance from the end of correction.

Student: You said that both are held, being opposite to each other like magnets, and yet we forcefully try to bring them together.

M. Laitman: Yes, we want those parts to be connected.

Student: So what's the force that connects them?

M. Laitman: The light, the upper force. We have two forces. The lower force separates between us, the force of our ego, which rejects and pushes us from one another. And we want the upper force to come and above the rejection, the mutual rejection, will connect between us. So it turns out that below, we are in rejection to one another, and above comes a force and obligates us to be connected to one another. And the gap between those two levels, those two floors, where here we're disconnected and here we're connected, between those two levels, we feel reality. That's between Bina and Malchut.

Student: In that state above, how are they connected? If they're opposite, how can they be connected?

M. Laitman: I don't know. I don't know. The upper light comes and connects between us. How could such a thing be? That's called a miracle.

Student: If it connects above, why does it stay separated below?

M. Laitman: Because those are the two forces that exist in nature, the force of bestowal and the force of reception, the force of rejection and the force of connection, the force of the Creator and the force of the creature. And only in those two levels, if we're in between those two, we can feel the advantage of light from darkness, that there's a plus and a minus, there's light and shadow, otherwise we don't identify anything. We can't see if everything is light, we won't differentiate a thing in it. Now we're in all the darkness, and we also don't differentiate anything. That's why we don't feel spirituality whatsoever. Only when you have the two. This is why the whole evil inclination is not cancelled, but rather it remains as the foundation to all the spiritual attainments. And upon it, all our ascent is built.

Student: When you say we simultaneously feel the separation and connection above it, in two levels at the same time, who's we?

M. Laitman: He who attains these two things, one who receives assistance from above, sees how much he's rejected from the friends, and how from getting this force from above, he's drawn to the connection with them. And between those two, he feels that that's called faith above reason. Reason that we're disconnected, rejecting one another, and faith is called the force of attraction to one another. And all these things we receive from the Creator. That's called the Creator of light and the Emanator of darkness.

Student: And the state when it exists, does it stay or a person falls from the connection to separation again?

M. Laitman: Nothing disappears, nothing disappears. There's only the addition of a new degree, greater darkness, and against it, a greater light. It's all the time that way. “Whoever's greater than his friend, his inclination is greater than him.” Slowly, slowly, this will penetrate, it will enter.

Reader: Let's look at excerpt number five. This is from Baal HaSulam's letter number 11.

Reading: (43:07) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 11 - Twice

I will also ask that you make great efforts in love of friends, to devise tactics that can increase the love among the friends and revoke the lust for bodily matters from among you, as this is what casts hate, and among those who give contentment to their Maker there shall be no hatred. Rather, there are great compassion and love between them.

Reader: Again, Baal HaSulam, letter number 11.

Question (Focus Group): (44:42) He says we need to do so and so, but he doesn't relate to the fact that we can't do it or always get negative results.

M. Laitman: That's not important, what results you come to with this. As long as you try, that all your exertion, all your efforts, will accumulate and accumulate to a great sum. And then you receive a Masach, and the light that's above the Masach is revealed to you, and you're taught how to work with the Creator. Yes, from the group. As the Masach is upon the Kli of the group, and above it is the Creator. And the connection between the group and the Creator is by the Masach. That's what we need to come to, that should be the result of our efforts.

Question (USA LA): (45:37) First of all, it's very nice to see Rabash talking about love of friends, and he adds that there should also be great compassion. What is the spiritual meaning of this great compassion between the friends?

M. Laitman: I don't know what to tell you what that is. It's a pleasant state. It's good. It's good to feel that you have such parts in the heart that already feel the friends. That's the parts of your heart. It's good to feel that the Creator is formatting your heart, correcting it, so that it will feel something that's outside of it.

Student: What is the shattering for?

M. Laitman: The shattering is so that we will learn what's outside our will to receive. We used to be connected together, and then the Creator broke us. And those pieces that, to start with, were in me, they were parts of my heart, are now outside of me. In what distance? In the distance of my ego, where I hate them, reject them, and so on. What does He do this for? So that I will learn how to feel what's outside of me. The question is, for what? Do I need to learn to feel what's outside of me? Because the Creator wants us to feel Him, Him. And then by me learning how to feel the others, just like I feel myself, this is how I teach myself how to feel the Creator. This is why it turns out that coming closer to the friends is truly like I'm coming closer to the Creator. And when I love them, it's still not understood to me, but I learn from this how to love the Creator, how to reveal Him. That's what's happening to us. It's worthwhile as fast as possible to reach love of friends. In this you will start to discover the spiritual reality, which is the Creator actually. And all the discernments, the eternal discernments - you will feel the eternal life, not the life of a beast.

Question (Kyiv 2): (49:00) We would like to share, soon there's an event that's very important for dissemination.

M. Laitman: Sir, sir, I'm sorry. You need to get permission for that and to express that after the lesson when all the announcements are being said. Not now. During the lesson, if I were to permit that in all the groups, do you know how much would be talked about this, if each was trying to use this? Write, or connect to our friends that arranged the information at the end of the lesson. And that's how every single group, whoever wants to announce something, that's the place, not inside the lesson. This is clear, I will not allow you to use this lesson as an announcement board, or some kind of impressions outside of that which we're doing in the lesson. No, I'm sorry, write to them. And, okay, let's continue, do you have more?

Reader: Yes, excerpt number six, this is from Baal HaSulam's letter 47.

Reading: (50:24) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 47

This is why I have established for you conducts by which you can still hang on and not turn back.

And the single most special one among them is the Dvekut of friends. I sincerely promise that this love is able. And I shall remind you of every good thing that you need. And if you nonetheless braced yourselves in that, you would certainly go from strength to strength on the rungs of holiness, as I have promised earlier.

M. Laitman: Meaning, only to the extent in which we're connected, according to that measure, we can see only in this that we are also climbing on the spiritual degrees and coming closer to the Creator. The measure of connection between the parts of the Kli in the group are actually the measure of closeness to the Creator. We need to come closer to each other to the way in which the general force, the general light is revealed between us, and thus we will advance. This is how we will advance.

Question (PT 10): (51:50) You said it's good to feel that the Creator is formatting your heart. What is the formatting of the heart?

M. Laitman: He's arranging it as ten whole parts that include ten friends.

Question (Kyiv 1): (52:34) You said there is the Kli of the group, the Masach, and above it the connection with the Creator. What is that? Can you explain?

M. Laitman: Of course, we learned. You learned what a Partzuf is. A Partzuf is ten desires that are completely different in their nature and in everything, and those desires are connected together, and they want to connect to the upper force. So they build a connection between them which is completely aimed towards the upper force. And then the upper light is revealed above those ten parts that want to connect, and they want to connect against their desire, that they have this Aviut. And against their desire they want to connect so that there will be a connection between them, which is called a Masach. And from them wanting to bestow to the Creator, to one another, and through that to the Creator, that's called Ohr Hozer. And then the Ohr Yashar, the direct light, the Creator, is revealed in them in accordance with how they format themselves, so that they will receive Him, in order to reveal Him, in order to bring Him contentment by this.

Student: When I ask for the friends, I feel they have very different desires, different deficiencies. What do I need to add here in order for this connection to appear?

M. Laitman: When I look at you, the several thousands of people that are in front of me, then I will tell you, I see in each and every one, nevertheless, the same desire that the Creator wants to develop, to cultivate, to grow. That little part that's in each and every one, that's what I relate to. Those parts that are in each and every one, I want to connect them together, and all the rest is waste. That will later come to connection, but for the time being it's just waste. So in each and every one, like Baal HaSulam writes, that there are many sparks in all the friends. Do you have that?

Reader: Yes, excerpt No. 8. Baal HaSulam, letter number 13.

Reading: (55:13) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 13

You should know that there are many sparks of holiness in each one in the group. When you assemble all the sparks of holiness to one place, as brothers, with love and friendship, you will certainly have a very high level of holiness for a while, from the light of life, and I have already elaborated on that in all my letters to the friends.

M. Laitman: And those parts in each and every one, and all together, we need to connect. That's what we need. This will enter into our Partzuf that we're connecting all together, so that there will be ten Sefirot . And all the rest doesn't yet belong to this. So I'm looking at everyone. Look how many we have here today. And we all want to connect all these parts, seemingly, in each of those boxes. There's a part that yearns for the Creator, so we want to connect those parts together. We're asking the Creator to connect us in such a way so that within this part that is connected, He will be revealed. Come on, there's not so much work here. It's clear to all of us what's happening.

Student: You said that we are building from the connection between us the relationship to the Creator. And there, with our returning light, we meet His direct light, and then there's contact.

M. Laitman: That we will learn later. Don't take up the time from others. I have to stop you, and it's good that you want.

Question (Netanya): (57:10) How does it happen that ten people say they have to connect together in order to bring contentment to the Creator, and they become as one man and one heart?

M. Laitman: That's by the upper light. We cannot do that. Connection is something that only the upper light can do. Connection is only the Creator. Also, separation is the Creator, but He did that to start with. And then we are between the force of bad that He did and the force of good that He did, that now He's about to operate upon us.

Question (Africa ): (57:56) When do these little parts, become one? Are they aware that they are one? What do they feel?

M. Laitman: They don't become as one. They're connected above their egos. And that gives the power of the Kli 620 times more than that which it was before. Beforehand, these sparks were inside the force of the Creator together as one big spark. And then the light entered between them and shattered them, and all the force of the light became darkness. And now there's a distancing between all those sparks to the extent of the Creator, to the extent of Ein Sof. And now when we try to come closer to one another, we are just seemingly coming closer between us. We are building bridges, screens, Masachim, above the separation between us, which is called “Love covers all crimes.” And then in such a way we connect. And we say, we become as one. It's not as one, it's never. It's like one, as one. This is why we have Aviut, the greater the coarseness, the more we advance upwards. There's greater Aviut, and upon that connection, greater Aviut and greater connection, meaning we rediscover the negative force that the Creator put in us, which is called, “I've created the evil incarnation, and above it, I've created the Torah as a spice,” the upper light, the reforming light, builds a connection between us and covers us together. And both those forces operate together in us as a force of the desire, the force of resistance, the force of the hardness of the Masach, and the force of connection, which unites between us. And in the gap between those two forces, we feel the spiritual state between us, between the darkness and light. That's where the Creator is revealed. And we, with Him, in Dvekut.

Student: Rav, is there a similitude between these parts becoming one and the force that is inside the atom that's connected?

M. Laitman: All of reality, both corporeal and spiritual, is all existing under these laws, under these forces. There's no difference. The difference is only on the degree of disclosure of these forces towards us, and how much we can use them in order to reach unity, connection. And every force that is revealed is revealed in the good usage or the bad usage, depending on the person. Just like a nuclear bomb, it could be in for good or it could be for bad. That's how it happens to us.

Question (PT 19): (01:01:49) He says something here that frustrates me. He says, connect with the friends, work with the friends, do everything. But without, God forbid, moving backwards, you know, don't look at what you had yesterday. So, how can you not look at the past?

M. Laitman: I don't see the past. I see myself as being born today. Don't you see that in me?

Student: You become younger every day. Forget about you. But I'm saying that I committed crimes yesterday, days before. I was a jerk to others. So, everything is done? Everything is deleted?

M. Laitman: Everything is done. It's all gone. No, it's not me. Every day you need to see yourself as new. I'm telling you, look at me. Don't you see in me the child?

Student: I do, always.

M. Laitman: Okay, so that's how it needs to be, new forces. I can't do it any other way. Otherwise, you won't have the force to even sustain it, to do something. You're either dead or you're alive. One or the other. Get used to that. Yes, yes. Learn from me, yes.

Student: People say that you were a jerk yesterday, and now you're deleting it?

M. Laitman: Of course, you erased it. It's not me. The Creator gave me that lesson. Go to the craftsman who made me. That's it. I come to Him and demand correction, which actually not me, but He did this corruption. And therefore, I have all the justification to come to Him and demand correction. It's not me whatsoever. Yes, yes. Go to the craftsman who made me. He made you that way. Go to Him for Him to correct it.

Student: Is that above reason or something else?

M. Laitman: This is not above reason. This is how I see it. What, did I build myself? Did I make myself? While my parents made me from those two drops, did I choose which qualities I would be, which characteristics, corporeal, what tendencies, what inclinations? Or would I do it that way? I'd make an angel out of myself. I would truly make an angel.

Student: So, basically, you're saying, whatever happened, I'm not to blame.

M. Laitman: Of course not, it doesn't belong to me. We are all angels. We're starting from zero, from nothing negative. Every day should be as new in your eyes.

Student: You said, after the morning lesson, do we need to forget everything until tomorrow?

M. Laitman: Well, it's not worth it for you to forget it until tomorrow, because you need to engage into this all day long. But of course, when a friend comes to the morning lesson, you have to come as a clean slate.

Question (Florida): (01:05:14) I used to come to the Ten before because I had to. Now there's like a force that pulls me, that attracts me. I can no longer describe myself without it. What is that state?

M. Laitman: That's not such a good state. As much as you enjoy that you have that force that's drawing you to the Ten, but that state, I wouldn't want, I wouldn't think that it's so good. So, where's your work? Where's your work? You have no work. You receive from above now some attraction to a Ten. Well, okay. So, accordingly, you're now in a Ten, you connect with them, everything is nice and good. Well, and where's the resistance? Where's the work above your feeling, above your intellect, above your everything? Where's the justification that you have to do to the friends against your ego? You don't. You don't have it. Look at what the Creator is doing to you. He's saying to you, “You know what, I'll take care of everything, you just don't turn to Me.” He doesn't want to hear any addresses from you. Well, so how is that good? Tell me. Now, from this state onwards, you can't advance, because you have nothing to turn to the Creator with. And without turning to Him, you're not advancing even a millimeter. So, what are you so happy about? I would sit and cry. Therefore, how is that called? An elder, an old person who acquired this wisdom, where he's going and he's searching, where do I have here something that I lost along the way? Where is there more deficiencies that I can collect, than to turn to the Creator with them? That's it. That's why a person needs to pray for the bad as he does for the good. What does it mean to pray for the bad? To pray means to ask the Creator for. Why am I asking the Creator for bad? Yes, that's called to awaken the dawn. I do want to reveal more and more negative things, so that I will have what to pray with, what to ask the Creator for, what to overcome, and thus come to the goal.

Question (Tbilisi): (01:08:11) What can help us, or in what way can we connect in the Ten so that the friends will not be late to the lesson, will not turn off their cameras? Does that depend on our connection?

M. Laitman: Yes, that all depends on your participation. For the time being, awaken your friend, he's sleeping.

Question (United VG 3): (01:09:04) Is it correct to each day look at the world with open eyes, open heart? To feel that the whole world is new, and live in general?

M. Laitman: Well, without that, how can you advance? It's written, and they should be new in your eyes, that every single day… There are also several articles about it. Oh, do you have it? Well, you see, we have a reader that has everything. Well?

Reader: Well, it starts from a longer piece, but Bar HaSulam writes in letter two.

Reading: (01:09:52) Baal HaSulam. Letter No. 2

Therefore, I shall advise you to evoke within you fear of the coolness of the love between us. Although the intellect denies such a depiction, think for yourself—if there is a tactic by which to increase love and one does not increase it, that, too, is considered a flaw.

It is like a person who gives a great gift to his friend. The love that appears in his heart during the act is not like the love that remains in the heart after the fact. Rather, it gradually wanes each day until the blessing of the love can be entirely forgotten. Thus, each day, the receiver of the gift must find a tactic to make it new in his eyes.

This is all our work—to display love between us, each and every day, just as upon receiving, meaning to increase and multiply the intellect with many additions to the core, until the additional blessings of now will be touching our senses like the essential gift at first. This requires great tactics, set up for the time of need.

M. Laitman: Nice. We really don't have a whole lot to add. We did a lesson on one topic, and it includes everything. Do you have a few more of these?

Reader: We also have excerpt number nine from letter 47.

Reading: (01:11:44) Baal HaSulam. Letter. No. 47

Therefore, let me remind you of the validity of love of friends in spite of everything at this time, for it is upon this that our right to exist depends, and upon this our near-to-come success is measured.

M. Laitman: That we can measure the success only on the measure of connection between us. There's no other measurement.

Reading: (01:12:08) Baal HaSulam. Letter. No. 47

Hence, turn away from all the imaginary engagements

M. Laitman: Turn away from anything, everything, leave it. There's one main thing.

Reading: (01:12:19)  Baal HaSulam. Letter. No. 47

and set your hearts on thinking thoughts and devising proper tactics to truly connect your hearts as one, so the words “Love your friend as yourself” will literally come true in you, for a verse does not reach beyond the literal, and you will be cleaned by the thought of love that will cover all crimes. Test me in that, and begin to truly connect in love, and then you will see, “the palate will taste,”

M. Laitman: In short, behind all these words, we have nothing to attain in our lives, but the connection between us to the measure of love. We need to scrutinize what love means. It's such an incorporation where I feel no gap between me, and my desire and my friend's desire towards the Creator. And we are truly together in this, in partnership.
