Morning Lesson April 6, 2021
1. Rav’s Introduction: The difficulty in increasing the importance of the goal is that we are not against reaching the goal but the means, the means to attain the goal of creation exists in connection between us in correcting the Kli of Adam HaRishon that was shattered and it's shattering was deliberate so that we work against our nature, against our ego. The whole work is basically in the connection between the friends in the 10 or between the 10s or with all of the people of the world. This is why it is so difficult, and look at what all of humanity has done since this idea was revealed in humanity almost about 6,000 years ago. Humanity rejects it and does not want to do it and does all kinds of tricks in order to not be connected to the wisdom of connection, the method of connection, even though this takes us to a better and greater thing but if that is against our nature we don't want to hear about it. Here we need to understand the unique property above our work that even though we hate the corrected state, I'm being interconnected and interdependent that we also have to see how we overcome this resistance and nevertheless draw the force of connection out of nature so that it connects us bringing us to a single system. We can see this with ourselves too. We can see how many hours a day we are disconnected from each other and from the goal of life and so how do we remember it. By none else besides Him, and then we are drawn to it in order to disconnect from it again. By these forces of connection and disconnection we begin to go through both kinds of states until we make the right calculation where we have no choice but to cry to the Creator. As it says the children of Israel sigh from the work to the Creator so that He takes them out of Egypt. Then thanks to the cry, the collective cry, they are saved.
We have to see how we advance daily in our feelings, understanding, and attainment, where we are and where we need to be. That each and every day we will see our path becomes sharper, the direction becomes clearer, the present and desired state, they become sharper. This is how we advance. Also the means of how we open up this world, our present state and the next world, the state that we want to reach. Like Rabash said the next world meaning the next state, the coming state. That is how we will advance. In this progress I especially need to feel and measure to what extent I received from the group the yearning for the Creator and how much I give the group a yearning for the Creator. These two forces essentially stabilize my path to the right goal correctly and also each and every day to look for what kind of progress we have during the day, the group must clarify did we advance in a certain aspect on the path, did we do something and if not we have to demand from the Creator.
Of course we have done something as there is no day similar to the past day but if we don't feel what we have done it means that we lack the discernment, the vessels and we need to demand them. Let's approach the quotes and see what is written about it, increasing the importance of the goal. This is the main thing, that each time we feel the importance disappears and that we can awaken it, by that we advance each time and in awakening the importance of the goal we have to understand the negative and positive forces here. We can't have one without the other. The light excels from the darkness so the more we feel that the goal suddenly fades away and there is darkness, there is a blurry state and so on. All of that is in order for us to get an impression of that state as it says there shall be evening and then there shall be dawn, meaning I awaken the dawn and not the dawn awakens me as King David wrote. This is how we advance.

2. R. Let us pay attention to how much we are impressed by the environment in our life, newspapers, television, what is in the air, what is happening, we are affected by that. If we would not have absorbed the impressions from outside we would be living like animals, everyone living in his little hole and I don’t care about the world what is the world's or anyone else, what they are thinking about but because I am nourished by the big, broad world which is also very confused, but this is what designs me. If we want to advance correctly then we need to awaken and raise ourselves above this world. He says that if the friends should primarily speak about the greatness of the Creator meaning above all in the connection between us and every word in sentence in every connection we make in the 10, it is in order to position the 10 above the whole world to make the10 more important and to let it pull me higher not to the same level that the world pulls me, to all kinds of nonsense, but that I feel in the 10 this higher force that operates. So we have to discuss the greatness of the creator and from the greatness of the Creator that we will have the desire to notify the Creator and in that already builds in us an attitude towards faith above reason. The force of the Creator called faith will be above reason, which is the force of reception in us and then by nullifying towards the group that influences me with the greatness of the Creator even though they don't have that it doesn't matter. It gives me the desire to nullify to Him and then I always think about how do I annul towards Him, how do I bring Him contentment that will make it very easy for me to direct my efforts to Him and then in return I received the power of faith, the power of bestowal, that I will begin to feel that the whole world that besides this little world that we feel here, that all of reality is the force of bestowal that the Creator feels all of reality.
3. S. (13:29) How can we measure our progress every day in the 10?
R. Only to the extent that we make sure that we elevate the Creator each time in the 10 and that He influences all of us, only to that greatness can we measure meaning to the extent of the importance of the Creator, the greatness of the Creator is important to us, that’s the greatness of the 10 that cares about this being filled by the Creator and that it is always on fire within us of how to be moved by the greatness of the Creator.
4. S. (14:32) I thought I heard you say to find the corrected state out of nature what does that feel like?
R. The corrected state is already the Creator that appears in us Bo-Re, come and see. When we are properly connected there is the force of bestowal that dwells between us this is called the corrected state and to the extent that the Creator is dressed in us and corrects us and fulfills us, this is the corrected state and that's what we need to learn for. How? By discussing it, by each one seeing that the friends around him care about it. To reveal the Creator is to reveal the force of love, bestowal, connection which we will discover the system of Adam HaRishon and its corrected state, this is what we discover, we can't discover the upper light. We can only discover its outcome, its action. The Creator Himself is concealed but we see Him as through come and see, meaning when you see that the vessels that are opposite to each other, each one and its ego, when they suddenly come together and connect you see them you say “oh” here is a unique force here beyond our nature, supernatural, that works between these two desires to connect them and that force is called Creator. Come and see, Bo-Re, Come and see so you see how the opposite vessels actually can connect.
5. S. (17:09) My investment in the 10, in the greatness of the Creator. Does this influence me also at the end of this process?
R. Always, in general nothing disappears; it only disappears towards us, to awaken us to the next state, the next step but really everything is recorded and included in spirituality.
6. S. (17:54) You said we have to discover the force that operates in the 10. What does it mean that we discover it together, we gather together?
R. As it says from your actions, we know you to the extent that we yearn to discover the connection between us. Our connection is the state that is between us if we discover connection then we can also look for the force that connects us. It is not our nature to connect, it's not that we feel like connecting, it's not in our nature. But if we feel that we want to examine ourselves and what operates as, what's happening between us, how does he fulfil this void between us, the space between us this is how we gradually find the Creator.
S. What does it mean that we do this transition between the revelation of the connection between us to where we discover in this connection the force that is operating?
R. If we feel that we are connected, let's examine how and by what we are connected. Because we came to a connection between us in an unusual way. We have gathered here as Rabash writes to create the foundation for a new society that is entirely aimed at the revelation of the Creator and so we determine that we want to discover the inclination to connect which is supernatural, above our nature, but specifically by working against our own nature we have two opposite forces here, force of separation and a force of connection. If we start seeing ourselves stabilized by these two opposite forces, then we can already establish ourselves correctly as it says God made this against that. That we can detect the force of connection by the opposite force of separation, He creates both, as it says ‘He creates light and darkness.’ We can then perceive the light out of the darkness, giving us a sense of Godliness and a sense of spirituality. We are in it right now, as well, we just don't sense it. We have to refine and sharpen our senses in order to feel both darkness and light.
S. The shattering works on the increasing of their greatness, of the importance of the Creator?
R. The bad is to emphasize the good opposite that. There's just one force above both activating, both according to what we need in our senses each time, seemingly it is either bad or good.
7. S. (22:28) Sometimes there’s a very successful workshop where all of a sudden our whole feeling changes to being happy and uplifted and the fatigue goes away. Is this a feeling of the Creator?
R. It is a state where we are being checked from above to see how much we can start walking on our own and not to need support, this is the work. And so each one who wants to advance doesn't cry for having to walk in the desert. That it is hard, there are disappointments I had, disturbances on the path. He rather understands that these obstacles are within him and he has to work with them. Advance by them with all of the force that he can obtain from connecting with the friends to make another step forward and another step forward. It’s the correction of the soul. He can't not do it, he's going to have to do it either by a little blow that he feels now that he has to correct or a bigger one. But without correcting what is in front of him, he’s not going to advance to the purpose of life and there is no discount here or concession. All of humanity has to go through this. We just have to see that we can receive the power through the center of the 10, when we connect we can absorb strength from there to give greatness and importance of the goal and advance.
S. Yes, we're in a special workshop or lesson, where all of a sudden we get such joy and good energy that you can really feel the center of the 10 operating like fire. Is there such a state?
R. Meaning that you are not a group of men but a group of women. Men from the word meaning to overcome, those who overcome and attack. You are then as it is said, the force has weakened as in the female. It's not about male and female in the world, this is about the spiritual vessel so you're basically saying “I want to be carried along as a woman, as a female and then I will be able to advance like that, meaning being pulled forward, being carried” And that is completely against the plan of creation that says we have to go forward. On the other hand, we certainly can't go forward on our own as we don't have the power of bestowal and so the whole process is by increasing the force of bestowal. So how can we do this? By overcoming and praying, asking for the connection between us, what is called the prayer of many, the whole ten desires it. It's not difficult work, the difficulty is only in stabilizing the work correctly but that the effort itself is only in preparing for it. Where are all of us? In what state are we? What do we need to reach? Where do we need to put our strengths together? Let us muster our strength and gather our attention to where we need to be. And in what state we need to achieve and what is our goal. If you establish all of this correctly between the friends, that’s it, you already arrive at the goal by this work, you will see. Or you are going to see that this is where we need the Creator’s help. Let us ask, let us pray for Him to pull us forward but it starts by raising MAN, your prayer. We have learned everything is achieved only through the power of prayer.
8. S. (27:42) What kind of sign do we need to receive in the 10 to know we're bringing contentment to the Creator?
R. If you feel that you have fallen into a state where you're not so elevated, not so respecting that state, this is already an indication, a sign from the Creator, that you need to connect and regroup yourself and that you need the force of correction, fulfillment, and by that you bring contentment. The created being is not supposed to give to the Creator more than his desire to advance and connect to the Creator. Meaning the more we connect together, the more that we want the Creator to appear so that we bring Him contentment, that is our action. To resemble the Creator more. This is each and every step that we need to make. As this is how we bring contentment. It's like a baby who doesn't need to think about how he brings contentment to his mother. By his existence, wanting the right things that he needs in order to grow, that already brings contentment. It is not artificial things, it is rather what is good for its own growth. The Creator is only happy about one thing, when we grow stronger and closer to Him.
9. S. (30:15) In our 10 there is always an attempt to connect that is greater, smaller and this changes. The question is how can we as members of the 10 receive fuel so that the importance of connection will be greater in each of us?
R. Let’s say today we are starting our day. I have to write before me, otherwise I will forget. First of all, I need to have a diary before me every day. If I don't write, then I am a beast. If I'm writing in front of me in my spiritual diary then I am a human because I want to take a step towards the Creator, towards resembling the Creator, this is the meaning of being human, Adam. So I have to write down that I have to awaken friends during the day, both in my thoughts and in action, speech. I have to care about how I can the group become more unified both in my thoughts and perhaps with my actions. But here, you have to be cautious not to start to drive them mad, confusing them. So each and every time, I have to write these things in this diary -- how can I bring about more connection between us so that we finally discover the Creator, that he appears between us, what are the steps? Or as it is said ‘the end result is in the initial thought.’ The end result is the revelation of the Creator between us, this is called the corrected society or the corrected 10, or the corrected vessel of Adam HaRishon that was broken which then becomes re-established and filled with the upper light where the Creator appears in the created things. So I need to see whether I am moving towards this state.
S. We always need to see the greatness of the Creator, to always be thinking in the direction of connection. But the question is this Tango, this dance we're specifically through the descents we advance more?
R. We don't want to advance by descents but rather each and every state we are in now we can already consider it a descent.
S. Every state that we’re in, we will consider it as a descent?
R. Every present state we will consider it as a descent then we will be able to ascend each time
S. If we are in a state of descent that is also an ascent?
R. The moment you discover this state, you can already look for different conditions that you can benefit and advance higher.
10. S. (34:45) Why do we feel more vulnerable in the difficulties when we attempt to walk the path of the Creator? On the contrary, shouldn't we feel safe?
R. No, our progress -- the more we advance forward -- happens in opposites. On the one hand, I understand and see more, see a clear picture of the structure of reality and how the Creator activates it and how the created beings respond. Everything becomes clearer and clearer in general. In particular in a personal way, I feel myself more dependent on the upper force. I discover more and more how He determines all of my states. So by this I feel myself in a peculiar way, the more I advance, the more I am certain that I understand, feel the general reality and I am more uncertain about how much I am in between these forces. And everything depends upon what I choose. Look, what did humanity have a thousand years ago in its existence in this world, and what does it have today? Today humanity is under a threat of nuclear weapons, all kinds of big powers, and a thousand years ago, no one knew anything like that. People lived under fear of smaller things that are clearer and next to them. Meaning the more we progress, the more dependent a person feels on the Creator, on the one hand and on the other hand, he has the strength to be connected to the Creator. And then, there’s also a question here: how much does he want to be dependent on the Creator even though it brings him fear? But he enjoys feeling that he depends on the Creator. He feels connected to the upper force by this.
11. S. (38:37) The friends want to put forth this concept of a spiritual diary to use and implement. Does this need to be personal? What needs to be written in it? What is the logic behind it?
R. Every day, first of all, why do I write a diary? In order to attain something from the purpose of creation during the day. What do I need to attain? So then, I then divide this attainment of the goal into several stages. What do I need to do and in order to reach these stages, I need to know what I need to do and what are these actions? Meaning it is a work diary about what I do with the group, what I do with myself in studying, writing, and thinking. A person sorts out these things in a way that it is clearer to you how you are going through your day. But still, you want to do this diary to keep track of yourself but also in addition to a personal diary, it is worthwhile to do a group diary. This way you can all see how the group diary becomes a personal diary as the group becomes a 10 and the 10 becomes the concept of one.
12. S. (40:49) How do we express in the strongest possible way, to the friends, on a consistent basis, the greatness of the Creator in our 10?
R. We have to think, maybe we should ask our friends who are working on the source excerpts, that we need support from the group in addition. There is what Rabash writes about how much we need help from the group in order to be impressed by the urgency, the longing for the group because, I will tell you, how can I describe this to myself? He writes if the doctor comes and connects some small organ that was detached from the body, then the body enjoys the organ and the organ enjoys the body. But the body then adds livelihood to the organ but the organ that was detached that felt completely disconnected in a state that is lower than death or life, it’s just standing by waiting to be reconnected with the body. So the organ now feels again the circulation of life in the body and regains its life. So that is what we need to take into account, what are we moving towards?
S. If we want to do this every day together inside of our 10, what tools do we have to use to express the greatness? The importance I can understand how to express but the greatness of the Creator, this is something entirely different. How to express that to the friends?
R. You show them how much you are filling yourself up with this greatness and it animates all of your actions, your words and you do everything that you do because the Creator fulfills you and then the friends will feel that it is really so. Now, you make an effort, it is not that you have that, you are making an effort. Of course this is what you're doing at the moment an effort to awaken them but it is considered bestowing because you awaken them and thus, one shall help his friend. This is how we all awaken and this is a very great thing. Meaning, you don't need to work on yourself, you need to work on the group. This is the initial condition for the spiritual vessel. I transcend myself and am concerned for all of the components of the kli. This means that I disconnect from this world which is me and the feeling that I have in me, and I cling to the upper world, to the world of bestowal of connection and love. This is work that you can renew every moment because the will to receive erases it right away and you make another effort and the will to receive erases it again. Again and again, after many actions like that, you begin to see you have something from this experience and bitter experience. But you are building a deficiency and this deficiency pushes you to a cry, a demand and then from the cry to the Creator, you receive some force of bestowal from above. Where does this come from? It comes from you, at first, making these little actions trying to connect.
S. What about from the 10 to the rest of the tens, is this something we should be exploring now or is it not time yet?
R. We will soon begin to transition to that because right now we are thinking about our next Congress which will be in June, beginning of June. So this convention will already be about how to awaken one 10 towards another 10. Meaning we still don't come to actual connection between the tens because then you'll forget about what's happening inside the 10. So the main thing for us is the connection inside the 10 and how each 10 can present itself towards other 10s, awaken other 10 so that they also are more connected. So that each and every 10 is working in itself and also has a concern about how to present its success towards the other tens.
13. S. (48:03) Is it the same to be dependent upon the 10 and to be dependent upon the Creator, who we don't attain?
R. No, the 10 is the Kli, the vessel, the instrument with which you connect to the Creator and it is the instrument, the device with which the Creator connects to you. This instrument is constant. It’s just like you want to talk to someone who is not next to and then through the phone you call Him and this is how you talk. This is the regular, constant communication device, if you disconnect the communication device then you disconnect from the Creator.
14. S. (49:22) Do we need to incorporate all of our desires until we feel all the desires of the tens as one?
R. As much as possible. In all or not all -- how do you know? In as much as possible.
15. S. (49:45) I try to hold the 10 at a higher state than me and I’m the smallest. On the other hand, I always look for how to bring them the importance of the Creator. Are these things not in conflict because if I'm the littlest, what can I teach them and the other also teach the others so how do we balance this?
R. There's no big or small in the group. A baby is born at a young couple's home and then they become a family because there is something certain and clear that connects between the two. They start to care for the third one, the baby and then it becomes a family. If they don't give birth to children, it is still not called that it's a family. You can call it a young couple or something else but a family is considered where there is 2 plus 1. Therefore this is how we need to see ourselves.
S. There is another thing: after each lesson I sit for maybe an hour, an hour and a half as it takes time to excerpt what you said and what the reader says about none else besides Him. In the center of the 10, I have already gathered about 10 hours of this material in the last few years and I added some background music to it. Do you think something like this is good? It’s all those excerpts about turning to the Creator and raising this prayer. What do you think about this?
R. I remember the first time you joined us and traveled with us to England and then it was very beneficial because we didn't have anything at. All of a sudden, you appeared with your guitar and it was very beautiful and I could feel how beneficial it is to strengthen, awaken, to connection, understanding, to opening the heart and how effective it was.
S. If you mentioned Blackpool, what was very beneficial is that we came to it on a bus and it was raining, pouring and we tried to take your bags from you and you moved everyone and stayed wet and carried all of your bags and it was really inspiring.
R. That's okay, we've been through a lot. Everything remains, it’s all written down, all ascribed and we will see this movie before us as the Creator works with love upon each and every detail. And how He slowly makes between us as with tweezers, making all of these different forms to connect and leaves us the free choice. Another form to connect and more free choice. Just like we are with the baby, we give him everything but we want him to grab the toy. We give him something but we want him to add from himself. Then we will see our whole entire history already in the eyes of a person as in the eyes of an adult. It will be beautiful, we will have a beautiful movie of this in each and every one of us and all of reality from the beginning of creation to the end.
16. S. (54:31) To clarify the means that we have to awaken the importance of the Creator, you said that the main thing is to awaken the group and on the other hand I can't without being awakened by the group. How do you balance the two?
R. It's good that you're saying that, that you're feeling that you used to awaken the 10 but where do I take the forces from them and then you do this work in both directions, incorporated in the 10 as a small one and operate upon them as the great one, as Rabash writes in The Social Articles this is what Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma said, I can't leave my students, they are small but I don't look at them is being small and needing care from me, I look at them that I am the one who needs the care to receive care from them. Look at what he says I don't see them that way, it's like the young couple baby who have a born, and the baby is called the head of the family because he is the one who builds the family, obligating them to come closer between them, to connect and care for him and by him inviting them to take care of him, he builds out of them a new attitude towards one another, a new family.
S. So how do I look at my need to be awakened by the group? It is just a means to awaken them because you said it's more important to awaken the group?
R. That's why you need to seek more places in the group to where you can add that the Creator is constantly awakening us even though we are not satisfied by that we need to awaken all of the states that are in the group along the way as this is nothing new, it’s always something new being revealed along the way and we need to a greater state of connection and advance that way. I see all of the things that awakened in my life as disturbances and it's not correct. The Creator has no need to bring me disturbances unless it is a help against one, meaning this by this I awaken to a greater connection with the friends and with the Creator and this is how I come to the purpose of creation very quickly, I come to the right vessel. Therefore it is written, to one who holds back with his discipline doesn't love His son, meaning if the Creator doesn't give a person troubles, it is a sign that He hates him because He is not giving him sufficient opportunities to overcome and advance.
S. The inner sources and the outer sources like thought, and work in the 10, are they more external sources like doing an action or something towards the general group, or dissemination. How do we sort out this means in terms of the importance of the goal?
R. I think we need to learn that but it is clear the main thing for us is to constantly care for the well-being of the society. This society is considered the 10 and the society is Bnei Baruch, to constantly be in care of the spirit the Creator gives, the general vessel when He cools us off in order to make us ask more, to turn to Him and He cools us off again and again, we need to awaken, to raise the prayer, to demand and to scream; otherwise, we lose our connection and the connection that we had prior to that, has already cooled off. He demands more and more of us until we truly come to a connection. This is why we are not satisfied with the fact that He is constantly distancing us and it is considered we are behind, we are sluggish, We can't always be in our mother's hands, we need to start getting off of her hands and start crawling on the ground and to get up and begin to walk and then to become more independent, increasingly so and go off to kindergarten and then school and to university and maybe get married, and arrange our corporeal lives that each time we are distancing from our parents. This is the correct form of growing in corporeality and in spirituality. See how the Kabbalists give us such examples all of the time, and we don't want to be independent and the Creator, by force, he does this to us. Look at the entire young generation, you can truly say that they are very much behind because they don't want to grow independently. Statistically I'm hearing that 30 or 40% want to stay at home with their parents, I feel better at home with my mother. What do I need to get married for, to bring more troubles upon me? That is an issue for the young generation but it is good because it just says that there is no importance ahead of them, why should they ask, why do I need to be independent, to work, what will they give me? What do I need? A computer and a sandwich, a slice of pizza and I'm good, and they're right because if there is no important spiritual goal for them for which it is worthwhile to pay something, then you can exist that way. None of us really wants to exit the hold of our parents.
S. When the Creator distances and cools me off I need to aspire to receive the importance of the goal from the group?
R. You need to grip onto the group more. From my experience I see that only that action is a true correction and beneficial act, an effective act, where I receive the group as my mother and I adhere to more, even though all kinds of forces that seemingly want to disconnect me and tear me from the society yet I hold on to it more. Through this I feel the force of connection that is sufficient in order to sustain the upper light between us.
17. S. (01:03:22) Can we reach the need for being dependent upon the Creator without first being dependent on the friends?
R. First dependency on the Creator and then the means to reach the connection with the Creator is the friends and we need to convince ourselves much more that the way to the Creator is through the society, through the group. Through the society it is not natural and to the Creator each of us from an egoistic way starts to yearn. I want to be connected to the Creator egotistical because then I will have it good, be safe, I would know, otherwise what am I? I will be in a void. Imagine to yourself that we are in the space where there is a void, where am I, what am I, all around me there is darkness, there is nothing that is what I discover in my life and only the Creator can be ahead of me, and now I can come to him. Here, on the way from me to the Creator is the society, the 10 and by it I can format myself, adhere to the Creator as from the Creator comes the upper light. I can’t receive it if the upper light doesn't enter into 10 desires and I need to stabilize these ten desires. From my friends I make such connections, together with them such that the Creator, the upper force clothes in the 10 and I feel that it moves from the Keter, divides the 10 and then I feel it below in my Malchut, but I need to build this structure in order to agree with it that it is mine. All of the conditions of the group as we build these things within come to the structure of the ten Sefirot, and how to stabilize this whole structure in such a way that we are aimed through them to the Creator and the Creator to us. All of this is through the structure of the 10.
18. S. (01:06:57) Two tens working together each one working and its own vessel or they create a united vessel between them?
R. We are not yet talking about the connection between the tens it could be that we start to talk in our convention in a couple of months and also not a true connection between tens but support from one 10 to another. Because I'm afraid we will get confused with the work in the 10 which is the most important and then in the work between the tens in the external support and then in the connection between the tens which is already in the future, I don't see it yet. Where the tens can connect between them to come to such connections like we see let's say, in the movies, how cells connect and become one, and another cell, another cell, and then the collection of cells takes place which keep the structure each of its own, but that they have a mutual connection, mutual support to one another and each keeps its autonomy and also each keeps the unity, the connection between them. It is not simple, it’s already a new form of connection and I am afraid it will confuse us today, that it would weaken our forces drawing us to things that we didn't arrange for ourselves in the tens.
19. S. (01:09:15) He said a couple without children is not a family. In a 10 how do we stay as an egoistic couple, how do we become the family who will be that common child between us?
R. If we connect in the 10, the 10 already includes the bestowing and reception forces, give and take between us and what is revealed in these states of the give and take is the force of the Creator, the upper force in which we begin to grow it between us, to raise it between us. Meaning that we are connecting the connections between us as a vessel in such a way that the upper light can clothe in it already according to the manner and extent and force of the connection. We will learn that's, our baby is that corrected vessel in the part in which the Creator is revealed. Truly that baby that is born, we will call it our soul, our Neshama.
