Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. (Klipa of Egypt #30)

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:30) Yes the topic is a very important topic, and we are in it some more and some less. After we start with the Wisdom of Kabbalah it is explained to us the extent we are in the will to receive, and all of spirituality is built above the will to receive and the opposite the will to receive and the will to receive is a must, the Creator created it on purpose so that we will rise above it and feel ourselves above it, and, we will build above it our entire feeling, our attainment, all of our relations and connections between us and between us to the Creator. Therefore, the overcoming of the will to receive must be here and we need to attain this overcoming upon us so it is a must. We also need to learn how to relate and overcome the will to receive such that we will rise above it and begin to feel in contradiction to it; the upper world above the will to receive; the world of bestowal, the world of love and connection. 

We have upon us here to establish a new state and to help us establish this new state to establish spirituality above our corporeality, to establish the world of bestowal above the world of reception, that we feel ourselves more and more to the extent in which our will to receive sustains us, holds us, and does not let us rise above it and truly grabs us by the feet and does not let us rise above it. Only by us connecting each and every one here cannot succeed in anything only by us connecting between us and asking the Creator together just as it is written “and the children of Israel sighed from the work in their outcry rose to God.” By that we receive the ability to begin to rise above our ego, above the will to receive that separates between us, to connect more and more between by that force that we received from above through our request and through our prayer and this is how we connect more by the forces of connection that we received from above. Actually our entire advancement is through the recognition of evil that is between us. The force of rejection does not let us have the ability to connect and when we try to nevertheless connect we see how difficult it is and impossible, and all of this is not so that we will connect between us but rather for us to connect to the Creator.

The children of Israel sighed because of the labor to God, and this is actually the process. Its purpose is for us to be connected between us to the Creator, that is called “Israel, the Light, and the Creator are one”. This is how we need to see our part on the path, the matter that we have to go through along the way and here we attain the Klipa, shell of Egypt, the extent in which the will to receive grows and doesn't let us run in any direction but rather holds us and does not give us the possibility to get closer between us, and between us to the Creator. This is actually the escape that we want to carry out; to run away from our will to receive and to come to the Creator. Here we learned along the way that there is nowhere to run to, that the will to receive remains and the Creator can appear in it, only under the condition that we arrange our correct relations between us and between us and the Creator. As we will rise above this ego that has been revealed between us and in such a way that he remains, and we just rise above it and connect there. This is actually considered that we are building our correct action, an action called Israel, Yashar El, direct to the Creator, direct to God which is from our efforts that we make in more efforts not that we want to connect and rise above but rather we attain and we can’t connect and we cannot rise above and we overcome the separation between us in order to ask together from the Creator to raise us, above our egoistic desire which separates between us, above that state in which we are separated, and that is how we will connect and rise above.

This is the work that we have to do and all the overcoming that we have to do upon our increasing will to receive is called “the revelation of the Klipa of Egypt”, and that shell of Egypt it is something that helps us not remain in our will to receive but rather understand that we are not capable to deal with it and we need the Creator, we need help from above from the force of bestowal. In such a way when we appeal to Him this way we arrange ourselves correctly towards the Creator, we managed to get from Him the force of bestowal which helps us come closer to one another and from between us to Him and begin to build the relations between us this way; relations of bestowal, and between us and towards Him these relations are called: The Upper Worlds. Because in it, in Him we feel a different reality, an upper reality, forces of bestowal and relations and states that are in the desires to bestow. This is how this opens before us a new world. These forces of bestowal are the forces of the Creator; they are Eternal and Whole. We manage to yearn to locate them, to come closer to them, to recognize them and see what we can do. Specifically how to acquire them and to arrange them.

Meaning pay attention not that we are in the desire to receive alone, but rather how we can rise to the desire to bestow, how we can build acts of bestowal between us that will exist just like the qualities of reception are now. The more we come closer to it we will start to locate more and more that these two actions that we are in all together; these acts of reception and acts of bestowal, and by which forces we can increase this action and diminish that action and this is so that it will be clear to us, more and more, and close to the implementation to all of these forces of nature; the desire to receive and the desire to bestow through which these two can exist. We will advance and talk more. The main thing for us is for us to stabilize ourselves as being between two levels of the world to receive, the lower one and they desire to bestow the other one and we want to find ourselves between the two of them, and how we belong to one and to the other, and how we build one above the other, and how we locate them. In short we are trying to find ourselves between the two of them and to first of all disconnect from the desire to receive and adhere to the desire to bestow but later we learn how to use the desire to receive specifically, as well.

As we use the darkness and the light both of them in order to move forward left right, left right, and it is not just like we are drawn to light and sweet, bestowal, love, and connection but rather we use the forces of separation in order to intensify, connect, respect the forces of Separation; “Love covers all crimes”. So, we have here before us already the beginning of the creation of the new path it which we come out of the will to receive and we compose above it the will to bestow, our relations in bestowal, and when we settle in the desire to bestow between us, in the degree of Bina, then we begin to also think how to grow the will to receive; so that by it we will respect more, rise more in the desire to bestow. Because you could not have one without the other, but rather it should always be more respectable and important the desire to bestow, but certainly to build it we can only do it upon the will to receive. This is how we will rise up, more and more.

2. S. (13:48) From our latest experience we came to the conclusion, at least for me it worked out that even with such crucial faithful events everyone feels that it is worthwhile for it to come to an end quickly, but each one of us has this responsibility but we can't use this deficiency to connect between us, meaning that we are not going in an obligated way towards connection and if we are it is as if we are doing a favor to the Creator and even so we had the complaints that we bring from this world, so what about the day-to-day work in the ten when everything is more or less understand? What is the quality of the deficiency that we need to have and mostly where can we take it from if even the war does not help us yearn for the connection between us, where to ask from?

R. I would not mix those two: Corporeal things and what is flowing on the corporeal plane and what we have to go through on the spiritual plane. The connection between these two things is not yet clear to us, like you were saying, it’s true and we will become confused in them. We need just as we see in a very clear corporeal way that we see something in the corporeal plan, although we do not understand the true circumstances and reasons, we don't understand exactly why we are in this, and why we want to be intermingled in such a form; that is not clear to us. But what we are lacking, that should be clear, is that we must first of all understand where we are compared to this in the spiritual world. We will also have the second point of our reality. 

Otherwise we will get lost all together and confused like a little child who does not know where he is or where he is going to, and he needs the adult to take him by the hand and lead him to a place that is safe. Therefore, these questions I would not ask now because we do not have answers for them. We are like little children who cannot grasp the answer. There are many answers, and they actually belong to the fundamentals of creation as we are now advancing towards, the last generation, the last stages of the general corrections. They can take many more years or tens of years, although it could be from today to tomorrow also. But we need to understand that here and now all of creation is beginning to open up in all of its power and depth therefore we need to discover here all of the reasons why this is happening to the nation's, different nations and to certain people, but it is all going to be revealed now. We just need to continue with what Kabbalists tell us and we will learn it along the way, you will see, as much as this becomes more and more disclosed.

But to connect between corporeal states and spiritual states for the time being we are truly not capable. It is not yet a part of our ability. We need to just advance in what we do have to acquire which are the forces of bestowal. This too we do a lot and by this we will learn of the forces of reception in us, and we will be able to stabilize this again, we will also see that the whole world is connected to the events that are occurring in the world. That it’s not just what is happening in Ukraine or Russia or in all kinds of places and nations of the world but rather it is truly, in the foundation of humanity. We will learn it on ourselves but according to the order of the degrees.

3. S. (19:39) What are those eternal forces of bestowal that we discover in the connection in our ten?

R. Those are the forces of the Creator. That's the force of the Creator, where we gradually, slowly reveal Him. At first we reveal Him as forces of bestowal and later we reveal Him as these forces exist truly as a system and we call that system: Bo Reh, Creator, come and see. We come closer to Him, to this system, to these forces and know Him, that system. The system of bestowal is called the Creator and the system of the reception is called the creature.

4. S. (20:46) At the beginning of the lesson you said that we will need to learn how to use our will to receive and build above it a will to bestow and in past lessons we’ve learned that anyone who loves the Creator has to hate his will to receive. What is the difference between loving the Creator and hating your will to receive?

R. Correct, we need to learn what our will to receive is because relative to it we will start to locate and learn the desire to bestow. This is how we will discover one against the other, this before that, as it is written “the advantages of light from darkness”. Where we differentiate and learn to compare this to that and specifically as much as one comes and teaches about the other. Therefore we do not disregard anything that is in darkness rejecting hatred but rather on the contrary, it is also apparent today that there are many forces that bring us a blurring of sorts, a stupor of kinds; they make us not be able to see and attain things, where we do not quite feel and understand and we cannot even locate these places that I do not attain and don't understand, where I am limited and there's a certain border to the attainment and feeling of my understanding, and all these things later will be solved by the attainment of the border where we differentiate what I'm capable, and what I'm not capable. Specifically, by that I build for many such boundaries and limitations, from that I attain the new reality. Just like in our world we cannot see anything illuminated without having darkness before that, and also in the connection and the clash between them, the border between them we differentiate everything this way, also in  spirituality. 

Excerpt 30 (24:30)

5. R. (24:55) Meaning that we feel that we are in the desire to receive why do we feel this? If sparks fall from the desire to bestow, from the upper state to us, to our desire we start to feel that we are missing something, that we lack something, that we want to rise above and understand feel and enter a certain upper reality and it turns that this feeling; like the nation of Israel is in Egypt. Meaning that a person feels in his life that he is missing something from understanding, from attainment, from the recognition of the upper world: What is the upper world, for what am I? Why am I and what’s with me? It seems like an egoistic question for the time being ‘me, me, me’ but it is really about the essence of creation and what this is all for.

6. R. (26:12) The Klipot, shells and the will to receive is bothering him, where he feels limitations, inside his heart, inside his mind

7. R. (26:41) That they want to rise above these limitations that they feel in their life, but they cannot. They can’t so what do we do? Then they cry out, meaning an inner cry, this ache, this burden, and when we arrange ourselves correctly in the group, in the study, in all of our order that we are in our life, how to rise above the desire, the egoistic desire, this limitation. Then if we try to somewhat emerge from this how can we do this? Only by us connecting between us. Because spirituality which we can define as between us is where we are going towards connection between us. This shows the extent to which we are drawn to spirituality. This is how we invite the reforming light. This is called: “and the Creator heard their groaning”.

8. S. (28:14) What kind of corrections can we make inside of Egypt?

R. Just connect between us as much as possible, corporeally, and also in some form that is similar to spirituality. We learn together and come closer and help each other, this is the connection that the will to receive enables us.

S. He writes that the Klipa of Egypt is when the people of Israel were in Israel? Can we correct the Klipa inside Egypt? 

R. Yes, yes, this is as we are trying to connect as much as possible.

S. This exertion, this trying is the connection?

R. Yes, of course. From the attempt we get the prayer, and from the prayer the reforming light comes which brings us closer throughout all of the years that we need to be in Egypt, and we advance towards the exit of Egypt.

S. Is the correction the exodus?

R. The exit itself is not the correction. The correction is where we try to connect between us and above the materials we read, we try to implement it as much as possible and as much as we are capable and not capable: By when we are capable we raised gratitude towards the Creator and when we are not capable will raise a request to the Creator; and this is how we advanced towards a state in which all together obligates Him to help us.

Excerpts 31 (30:04)

9. R. (30:35) Meaning that we cannot do anything without any reward for it and we do not know how to come out of that. Therefore, what we need is to nevertheless continue as much as possible to do actions, to discover as much as we cannot carry them out without a reward and then we have a greater address: help us perform these actions without a reward. Meaning when we ask for some return, there we discover; that is Egypt, that is the exile, that is the prison, the isolation that I am in, that I do not know how to do it without some form of return. I do something for the friends, for the world and I am always in my subconscious demand for it, a reward, and this is a great problem. It is more and more apparent to me that I'm unable to get rid of it but by this I come to a state of “the children of Israel” side from the work. Meaning from this we start to do actions of connection and mutual bestowal and discover that it is not connection and not mutual bestowal but rather it is reception, so what do we do? Through this we come to the correct prayer, the true cry.

10. S. (33:00) What is so bad about doing actions in order to receive something in return?

R. There is nothing bad or good in it; it does not advance us towards the purpose of creation, it does not bring us closer to the Creator. We do not become similar to the Creator by this but rather we distance from Him because of it. This is against the purpose of creation; it is against the plan. What is bad about it? It is, the whole bad.

11. S. (33:59) How did the Klipa, shell, appear? What is the meaning of that word?

R. A Klipa is called anything that compels me to be in order to receive. How does it appear? In all kinds of manners it draws me towards reception, but by it appearing I can differentiate between the Klipa and Kedusha, shell and holiness, and by that I can finally come to correction. You cannot reach Corrections if you did not discover the Klipa. Okay?

12. R. (36:00) Meaning all the forces, thoughts, and actions but the main thing is thoughts that do not let us plan something in order to bestow are truly Klipa and are called: The Klipa of Egypt, which is standing at the head of all the shells; the Klipot that limit us from spirituality, from in order to bestow.

13. S. (36:52) So what should we emphasize in our work: Actions of connection or the intention of not receiving a reward?

R. Actions of connections is a corporeal action and action cannot be without intention; for what am I doing it? Where can I and what do I want to attain by this action? This is our work: In the action and also in the intention, it’s called that “his mouth and his heart are equal”, we're both in actions and intentions we want to do them all in order to bestow, as much as possible.

14. S. (37:45) Can you explain these two states which you described, where we have to disconnect from the will to receive and then we begin to exploit the will to receive?

R. Yes, of course we work this way. First of all is the thought as I planned how I can emerge from the will to receive. I see that in my life I don't quite understand how I can arrange it correctly and then I am confused on my own and I cannot do anything alone, I'm not certain that I'm doing something correctly. I can't check my intentions and my actions I somewhat see and also critiquing these actions that I'm doing I also cannot do really. So, what do we do? Therefore here we have the whole matter of the ten, without me connecting in them I do not know about myself, where I am, what I'm doing? And this is our work. Where we need to connect between us and talk about this and to somewhat aim ourselves towards an act of connection between us, whereas we want to reveal the Creator between us. By this, as we are in the connection between us specifically in the last generation then we are actually demanding the revelation of the Creator, but the revelation of the Creator is the revelation of the force of bestowal which may appear to us as we are going to discover some fantasy of ours, it is not true. We are going to reveal forms and manners of bestowal that can be between us, and those forms between us will be called: The revelation of the Creator to the created beings. The Creator himself is the force of bestowal and we cannot grasp a force we need to be revealed like in our world. A force is revealed upon some manner: some machines, some actions, if there is no matter we cannot discover the forces. That is that way also in physics in our world it is the same here; we are building the group, we want to come closer between us and by the mirroring between us we want to feel this force that is operating between us and bring us closer and distancing us; truly between us, for us to each feel in the ten where we are all the time in His actions, and this actions are called: The acts of the Creator towards the created being.

15. S. (41:30) You said that we are starting with thought, but to think about yourself is like a curse, it is like a bunch of snakes in your head. I know I am supposed to think about the ten but I'm thinking about myself and can't do anything with that.

R. You don't have to do anything about it, you need only to work on the connection with the friends, to imagine that we are in the right connection with them. and inside of this connection I constantly wish to remain. I am not thinking about the bad things and about the corruption. I think only of the good things that need to happen between us, inside of the ten, and when I somehow manage to detect those things and I reveal that there is some sort of form of connection between us, from that I can come to more critical thought and bring the other side and then advance. For the time being we wish to only think about the connection between us, we need to be drawn to that. Take an example from children or babies, we give them only good games, only beautiful stories, only good, beautiful feelings, sweet candy. Why? Because, from these things we develop and the same with the ten, in the beginning we need to help each other  “each shall help his friend”, by making everyone feel that they are surrounded by good forces, who can provide support, sustained one another. Later we will also work with the bad forces on the condition that we can add the bad forces to the good forces, just as we learn in our world. But it depends on how you are using various kinds of forces. You can’t advance only through using the seemingly good force, we also need to work with the bad force and work together with a good force.

16. S. (44:31) In excerpt thirty-two what does it mean anyone who constrains Israel becomes a Rosh? What is it in our world really? 

R. Israel is an anagram of two words: Li Rosh, meaning those who want to be the head of their own lives, to manage their lives, to aim them at approaching the Creator, this is called Yashar El,  Israel, the Creator. Then in this way we advance. 

S. Yes but part of the components are things that are written in the verse that are clear but what does it mean that “one who constrains Israel becomes a head”?

R. I will read 32: Our sages said anyone who constrains Israel becomes a Rosh, a head meaning that who can control the equality of Israel? Those who have a tendency towards the Creator, who can control it correctly. Meaning aim it, direct it, only he who is the Rosh, the head and he governs this tendency towards the Creator. Then he constrains the quality of Israel, by not letting anyone work for the sake of the Creator. How does he advance towards the Creator? By using forces that object to his advancement towards the Creator. Which is called “to engage in Hesed, in Mercy”. Meaning they don't give him these forces for connection, for advancement, for bestowal but only in the reception for oneself, he feels that he is growing stronger there, and this is called the Klipa of Egypt, how do they grow Israel? Israel does not exist in the world; it doesn't exist but rather only a tiny spark exists in the world from the shattering.

So, how can we ignite a big fire from a spark? Only by resisting, by having a resistance to that spark, a gradual resistance. Therefore we see that each one of us internally and also in the form of the nation of Israel; inside all of humanity there is a group called Yashar El, we see how it grows and develops and grows stronger. It turns out that he who constrains Israel becomes a Rosh, a head; anyone who objects to Israel connects to Israel then becomes a Rosh, meaning he helps it to advance the quality of Israel. Who can control the quality of Israel is what he is asking; only he who is the Rosh, he governs then he constrains the quality of Israel? Meaning not letting one work for the sake of the creator; one who wants to advance towards the Creator, and they do not let him do it; they do not let him engage in Hesed, Mercy but only in reception for oneself. And, this is called The Klipa of Egypt, and specifically through this resistance that a person receives, by that he will have to grow up, he will not be able to remain quietly in his current state, “he who loves the Creator shall rebuke”, meaning the Creator grows those qualities that he wishes to grow in a person from the suffering, from the rejection, through disturbances and blows and problems. These qualities grow both in a person and in the general body of humanity. Just like you when you develop your child you need to  give him exercises, questions, problems that he has to go through to solve, to resist and by that he grows. There is no other way to control, to feel and to understand if you do not absorb the things that are against you.

S. It turns out that at first the quality of Israel is constrained?

R. Always go against these forces and you always have problems and disturbances, and you have to solve these things just like at home when you came back home from school you sat down and you worked on exercises that you were given in school and only by that you are able to succeed and go through all those years of school, same as when you go to university the same throughout your life. You are doing these exercises and through these exercises you gradually begin to understand that there is no choice but to do them because you were given those exercises and although they feel difficult and doesn't bring you pleasure, but he was doing it to you? People who love you. They give you those exercises and they place you in a basement as Baal HaSulam writes and you sit there and you study, and you work on your self-education and so on and so forth; or else you will not grow up to be a mature person, a human. Our entire work is against the desire to enjoy. This is the problem. That is why those who want their child to grow up must apply pressure on him. He must do all of these actions so that the child will learn everything he needs in life quite intensely, and we are the same. From the Creator’s love He shall rebuke. Meaning that we cannot allow ourselves to be, to remain lazy we must work on these exercises each time for our spiritual growth.

S. We are talking about these egoistic desires that constrains us, is Pharaoh constrains us?

R. Pharaoh is the force of the Creator, he specifically is growing Israel and thanks to him they managed to come out of Egypt. Our own internal egoistic force is called Pharaoh and is helping us grow. We cannot stay with him in us, and we have to rise above it. This is the meaning of: Coming out of Egypt. Try to explain it to others.

17. S. (53:18) According to what you said now that the nations of the world are constraining Israel and I also hear from friends that all the events that are taking place right now are much more difficult to focus on the lesson and on the study altogether, to focus on that point called Israel. So what do we need to do so we will be able to overcome each thing?

R. Exactly. That is exactly how it should be. First of all we need to scrutinize the innermost spiritual things. What is the meaning of Israel? That is the tendency towards the revelation of the Creator according to the equivalence of form, according to the qualities we wish to improve in us, until they become like the Creator. That is one thing. The second thing is when we wish to come to it and that behind us the rest of the world should know about it. This is the work of Israel. To do it in a group and to start locating, detecting the spiritual discernment in the group. If we begin to discover the spiritual discernment, we have no problem, we know what the truth is, we feel it, we are in the force of bestowal, we can rise above our self. We are unable to do bad to anyone; we are under the control of the will to bestow, it controls us, it is in us to some extent and then more and more using our forces of connection, of prayer; we grow the will to bestow in us and in this way we advance on top of the will to receive. The will to receive grows when we attain the will to bestow, that will grow and clothe on top of the will to receive, like in the Partzuf: Down below is the will to receive and up above is the will to bestow, and that is how we grow up.

18. S. (55:44) What is happening to us in exile in Egypt, Is that outside of me in the ten or what happens to me inside my heart in my personal relationship with the Creator?

R. What is happening to us, what we call the exile in Egypt is that we are unable to connect between us in the ten. The forces that resist the connection between us are called Pharaoh, in general. Meaning he allows us to do anything, and the pharaoh seemingly says: I gave you the nicest spot of Egypt, you can live there, you can enjoy yourself, you have everything. You don't need anything except for one thing, to connect between you, amongst you. Anything but that. Because of this the people of Israel feel they are in exile; they cannot connect when the Pharaoh is between them; which is the posterior of the Creator, and he doesn't let them connect. The more they overcome it he does not let them, and this is called: Exile.

19. S. (57:57) We need to discover first that we are in exile and then we need to connect and only then we can turn to the Creator?

R. Because otherwise you will not want to turn to the Creator. Why would you need him? If you need to first discover that you feel bad, then you need to discover why do you feel bad and what is the reason for it. Then you come to a state where you feel bad because you are not connected to others and that is why you cannot discover your true life. Then how to reach this true life? by connecting with others and existing then in the spiritual world of bestowal, love and connection and attaining the unlimited world, and in this way you come to a state where who is actually bothering you? The Pharaoh. He exists between everyone, and you have no other choice but to run away from his grip that is between us.

20. R. (01:03:56) If he doesn't see how much it hurts him, harms him.

21. S. (01:06:35) This pressure, this problem with the people of Israel is that in the ten that place is revealed that he can develop if he presses in it. What is that place that he can press?

R. When we advance we feel how much our advancement can be multifaceted, varied. One time they pull us one time on the contrary they throw us either left or right or front or back in all four directions we can feel forces that are influencing us. They always influence us towards advancement, but we do not scrutinize them in this way. It appears to us as if some of them are helpful, some of them are hindering. Of course if I accept everything that is coming to me as a welcome for us, blessed meaning in the scrutiny of this I can always advance forward then my work begins to be correct work scrutinized work and that is what I can propose to you. If it is not clear, ask again.

22. S. (01:08:36) When you try to connect with the friends to incorporate in them just like we say in faith above reason, what does it mean that this work goes down to the Klipa of Egypt?

R. We need to detect and in the relationship between us in the group, how exactly we advance in our work and by that we can seemingly not advance but actually go backwards. There are such capabilities and such states, therefore we have a problem here. How can I make the scrutiny if I am truly advancing or not? The scrutiny is how much together that is the first condition, can we  be drawn to, or we need to, become needful, needy of the Creator. How much together we are needy of the help of the Creator. This is the correct indication of our advancement.

S. He writes here about the Klipa of Egypt, how can you identify it in you?

R. Anything that is drawing you towards desire for self-pleasure, towards self-calculation, this is called the Klipa of Egypt. Look, he writes it in excerpt thirty-two at the end, it is called; But only in reception for oneself this is called the Klipa of Egypt. Here you have to scrutinize it, this is for my own benefit, or this is for the benefit of the ten and as much as you can remain with your heart and head outside of you inside the ten, then by that you are more on the path. This can be in anything whether or not I am in the connection with them, daily connection or in the study or the preparation material or in general any kind of participation. We need as much as possible to pay attention to that and place yourself into it.

R. That’s why the exile was prepared for them so that they feel Him. No nearing towards the Creator in all their works sinks in the Klipa of Egypt and they said they had no other choice but  to take upon themselves the work of lowliness which is faith above reason and yearn for bestowal. Otherwise they feel that they are in the domain of the Sitra Achra. What are you asking about?

S. It’s like the work of the Creator’s lowliness?

R. Of course. All of our spiritual work comes from lowliness working above my ego, and I don't value it. This is the meaning of working in lowliness. All of my qualities I don't consider them, I just consider them qualities of bestowal. On the other hand, it is written, his heart grew tall in the ways of the Creator. How do I raise my heart on the ways of the Creator? When I walk on  bestowal and correspondingly, I need to minimize my reception.

23. S. (01:14:17)  What is this domain of the Sitra Achra?

R.  The domain of the Sitra Achra is when you give the will to receive a place, power, and ability to control us. This is the meaning of the control, the domain of the Sitra Achra. I hope that you are going over during the day when you are asking questions, if you have serious questions  such as you can’t solve or you know it is important, you will bring it to us tomorrow. We have to go through this material in the right way. 

24. S. (01:15:15)  The efforts to connect, they bring you to despair, and I can’t be happy being despaired from my own forces. Even though we invest forces together I can’t be happy of this despair. I come to a lack of feeling; on the outside I do the deeds but on the inside I cannot move my heart?

R. Because you do not ascribe these actions to the Creator. By trying to perform acts of connection you don't think by that you give contentment to the Creator. You just check it in your own vessels, what do I get out of it? Other than a deficit, a loss, you feel nothing in your vessels of reception, that's why you’re despaired. If you were despaired but you understand that from this despair you turn to the Creator and ask of Him, then on the contrary you would have been happy about this despair because you now have a reason to turn to the Creator.

S. This is the picture arises in my head, like you see a tied donkey and he has been tied for so long that even if you let him go, he doesn't go anyway. He forgot about this Klipa of Egypt, he forgot what spirituality is and what we are talking about? 

R. This is because each one of you in the group probably does not want to work for the group and everyone is used to not being able to do anything for himself, but still not seeing that it is worthwhile to do something for the group.

S. What to do?

R. You start working for the group even though you don’t want that, and you have no reason for it, you just start to do it mechanically. When you start doing it and showing it to others they start taking it as real, as though you really want it, and they learn from you. Then the same drive, the same power to work awakens in them. 

S. Then the heart will move inside?

R. Of course, one shall help his friend. That is what should happen. If I do it mechanically my friend doesn't feel that it is mechanical for me. To him, he is turned on and he begins to work with his desire. Envy lust and honor, take him out of his world. 

25. S. (01:18:20) I still want to ask about the feeling of exile in the ten?

R. The exile in the ten is what we need to happen. We need to feel it because then with the general force of the exile we can erupt with an outcry and that takes us out of Egypt. 

26. S.(01:19:02) If in certain states like the ones revealed now, so there is a Klipa, that’s what scares me. When a person can get rid of his thoughts and if it does not touch you personally you can’t think, thank God it doesn’t happen to me?

R. You need to come through exercises to a state where everything spiritual that happens to you in the group, you accept it as being in a single Kli. What does it mean that we are connected? That everything that is felt in each and every one, is felt in everyone. These are exercises we have to do.

S.  As long as it doesn't touch me I don’t feel it is not my problem and I can’t incorporate in that problem. Here in Israel also, we see in the whole world, as long as there is not a mutual problem and until you don’t feel your life depends on it, so you don’t have the forces to connect. Then we talk, and we try to do all kinds of things but only when you are on the verge of destruction, then you can do some kind of action of  connection that is really true. However  these are regular actions as if;  well, okay, thank God.

R. Try together more and more, try together to pray. Only in connection between you as individuals when you are not connected, but you aim to the Creator and in addressing Him you will find your connection. Only that way.

27. S. (01:21:08) What does it mean in simple words, redemption? What does it mean that it is for each one and for all of us together? 

R. The appearance of the Creator in the group is called redemption.

28. S. (01:21:27) So If I see that in my actions there is a benefit for the ten and for me, can I not be concerned about it?

R. Yes.

29. S. (01:21:51) It is written in thirty-two that he who brings sorrow to Israel becomes a Rosh so who can control Israel what does it mean to control Israel? 

R. To control, meaning to bring them to correction.

30. S. (01:22:15) Is running away from Egypt not running away from the battlefield? What is the difference?

R. No. We don't need to be in a battlefield, we need to rise above our ego and there's no commandment to go into a battle with it but to rise above it. That's our battle. You cannot win against your ego; it is the force of the Creator and the more you try to defeat it the greater it becomes so don’t give him that but only rise above it. 

31. S. (01:23:05) Do Israel suffer by correcting the sparks of bestowal and Pharaoh doesn’t let them?

R. Yes, but Pharoah, we need to understand, is the posterior of the Creator. He does that in order to make us greater without Pharoah we cannot grow. So who is doing this whole work in order to help us exit Egypt and rise out of Egypt? It is Pharaoh, the other side of the Creator.

S. That's why we need suffering and pain in Egypt, to awaken Israel?

R. We need to feel suffering for not yet being able to force the Creator to take us out of Egypt. Yes.

32. S. (01:24:02) You mentioned we need to organize ourselves and turn to the Creator. How should we understand to organize ourselves?

R. To connect between us.

33. S. (01:24:20) With friends going through suffering now they can’t justify the Creator. Should friends who are not going through it justify the Creator instead of them?

R. Yes. Yes they can, yes they can. We have to complement each other, complete each other. The weaker we are, others can complete what we are missing, yes. The fact that I cannot ask, others ask. If I cannot be grateful, others are grateful for me. That's how we advance. Each one gives the other his vessels and forces of reception, bestowal and they all mix together then we succeed. All of us. 

35. S. (01:25:13) Earlier you recommended not to see what's happening in the world right now connected to spiritual work?

R. Because, I'm afraid of you getting confused.

S. So what is the purpose of everything happening now if we are not ready?

R. We need to become integrated with it but not that we are looking for an explanation for all of the activities and events that are taking place because we are still mixing our ego into that. Our egoistic feelings, our calculations from different times so, we cannot answer this in an objective, truthful way. Only when we are on the degree of Bina and we observe from that and make decisions from there, so we can’t do it yet. That's why we shouldn't mix these things up.

36. S. (01:26:24) Why do we ask for equivalence of form and not equivalence of content?

R.  Equivalence of content? 

S. Not the external form but the internal form.

R. I understand but how can we come to that if we don't have equivalence of form? From equivalence of form we will come to a point where we will have somewhat of equivalence of content. Meaning, if our vessels are similar to that extent they can connect at least partially to a single Kli and that will bring about equivalence of content.

37. S. (01:27:07) Is the love of the Creator felt in the will to receive or in the will to bestow of us?

R. Love of the Creator we feel in two desires as it is said in both your inclinations. The good inclination and the bad inclination. When they both connect correctly this is the vessel where we feel love of the Creator.

38. S. (01:27:51) Why and how does the will to receive grow from the work?

R. The will to receive grows not just from our work, even without our work it keeps growing all the time that is how the world advances all the time through evolution the still, vegetative, inanimate, and speaking  levels. When we begin to work spiritually ,then we draw the light that reforms and it works on us in a concealed and revealed manner. By that we see ourselves truly advancing.

39. S. (01:28:44) If the pharaoh is behind the friend, how can I connect with him?

R. I connect with the friend by imagining to myself that behind the friend lies the Creator and He presents to me reality and the friend through they will to bestow and if I connect with a friend in a will to bestow and I justified him for showing me the form of pharaoh, because it's not him it’s the Creator doing these exercises to me, by that I  connect with him in both good and bad.

40. S. (01:29:38) What is the action of running away from Egypt? What should we do so we can do it right now?

R. Rise above our ego, stop making all kinds of definite and final and calculations in it. I do make calculations in my ego but then I rise above it, rise above It. Then I obtain in contrast to my ego the will to bestow in the form of the Creator.

41. S. (01:30:19) What should we do if we go through a lot of suffering but still do not think we need the Creator? What should we need in order to want unity?

R. You need to speak to each other and convince each other that specifically by being in such a state with mutual support you can achieve success. There is no success without connection. This is something we have to convince each other about, talk to each other and show others how confident you are about that, and you will influence everyone. Look at the world, people are impressed by each other about such silly things about fashion and other values and so on. We are actually weak when it comes to that. Just imagine how you can show the friends that with  connection the Creator saves you and you will  see how it happens.

42. S. (01:32:01) The whole ten is in a descent, how can we come out of it with a greater connection?

R. When the whole ten is actually in a descent then you still have a Gabai and an usher, and they need to turn to the general Kli and the general Kli has to come and help you.
