To Bestow Contentment to the Creator - Selected Excerpts from the Sources, #17

1. Rav’s Introduction: Bestowing contentment upon the Creator or giving contentment to the Creator, pleasing the Creator is not one of the topics we learn, or we have been learning for the past several months with respect between us and the Creator, it is the overall topic. The whole difference between the corporeal world and the spiritual world, is that in the corporeal world we bring contentment to our ego, we please or aim to please our ego to what governs us. Shifting to the spiritual world is possible by trying to imagine what it means, what is the Creator giving force? the upper force and how we can relate to it. How we can pull it out from a state where we don't see. hear, feel, or relate to a state where bringing contentment to it becomes our permanent intention in everything. Afterwards we begin to determine, establish this intention to bring contentment to the Creator in bestowing in order to bestow, to rise above the egoistic desires and then even also to receive in order to bestow. These two degrees bestow in order to bestow are only forces of bestowal from Malchut to Bina and then the degrees of reception in order to bestow from Bina to Keter. This Is how we rise on top, climb on the desire to receive that the Creator created and use it only in order to bestow.

This is our whole work, our whole correction, and our ascent we need to do from the bottom of this world to the top of our development to the end of correction. All of our corrections are only about whatever state we are in to determine that by this we want to please the Creator. Every act, every thought, every operation will be only with this intention to bring contentment to the Creator. The topic of these lessons we have been going through, going over three or four times already, is the most important topic, the broadest and most inclusive and we have to relate and recognize that we have to realize them, implement them, that this is really our work. By realizing this condition of bringing contentment to the Creator we rise, we climb up the ladder of degrees. That is what I have to say here. We are already coming to the conclusion of this topic and we always say in order to bestow contentment upon the Creator, in or bestow this is exactly the topic of these lessons that we have had in the past few days.

2. S. (05:14) On the ladder of degrees, are there different degrees in bringing contentment?

R. On top of all the desires that are waking in you in the degrees from 0 to the biggest desire in all kinds of ways, each desire how does it grow bigger, when you begin to feel that you consists of many foreign desires, foreign thoughts of all kinds that you connect and connect to other people from your 10 which is the minimum of people you can connect in order to bring contentment to the Creator otherwise you're not doing this at all in practice you can only do it in the 10. This 10 of yours becomes incorporated and all the 10s in the best cell Adam HaRishon which are revealed to you and then you begin to see that. Yes, there are many more vessels here and that is how you advance, and this is all only in order to bestow contentment upon the Creator.

S. The pleasure itself of the Creator does it change and grow?

R. I don't know what is in the Creator all I know is what I can do to connect the friends more and more in quantity and quality and on top of that desires that appear individual and collective, generally on top of all of this to bring in the connection that we want for him that he will correct and fill and enjoy them because they are his sons.

3. S. (07:44) How can we acquire the power to avoid entering the waste because our nature always drags us into this waste so how can we acquire this leap to be so strong that we won't fall into the trap of the desire to receive?

R. We learned this, although it is not simple to realize it because you don't see the friends, you see yourself and what seems to you as wrong in the friend is also using yourself. We need to justify everyone and try to do good to them only so that they will get closer to the form of the Creator. There are no other efforts here besides rising above the way I feel about my friends. I want to see him not the way I feel it or that he is revealed in me. I need to see him as connected to the Creator as being in adhesion with the Creator because all who fault in their own faults and if I didn't condemn him, I would see him as the Creator that truly one stands behind the other that they are literally attached to one another. I don't attribute to the friend anything that seems bad to me because what seems bad to me, I attribute to myself and what seems good to me I attribute to the Creator and the friend is just the image. The persona on top of which I have to on the one hand cancel myself and on the other hand exalt the Creator in my eyes.

S. This is something I can do when I am together with the friends, when we are in corporeality, immersed in my work in my ordinary day, 1000 things distracting me, making me want things that are useless spiritually speaking.

R. You have to try to constantly be connected to the Creator and at the same time be connected to what you have to do according to your life. You can't help it as a person has to be used to it. I don't know what you do, maybe your job is very important, maybe it is connected or dependent on people that you have to be involved with, but it doesn't matter as I have students who are actors and they play all kinds of characters and they have to clothe in those characters that they play, there are all kinds, teachers, workers, engineers. You understand? There are so many people with many different professions and occupations. You can't help as each one must try to make room in this life for the spiritual life.

4. S. (12:26) What results can I see in the 10 when I make actions to bestow contentment to the Creator?

R. Any connection you do in the 10 is actually bringing contentment, because any connection is a connection that corrects the vessel of Adam HaRishon which we want to bring back to its previous state before the breaking.

5. S. (13:17) What is the true goal of bringing contentment to the Creator?

R. The true goal and bringing contentment to the Creator. The real goal in bringing contentment to the Creator is to be in equivalence of form with him as he relates to us so we relate to him, when can we discover that this is so? When we do it, when we do the right operation of bestowing good upon the Creator and exactly in that same operation which is called reflected light, in that exact operation we will feel his relationship to us called direct light and these lights will clothe one another and we will discover that “I am for my beloved and my beloved is for me” in a mutual relationship between us and the Creator and this will determine my spiritual degree.

6. S. (14:41) In a person's free time is it more important to scrutinize actions or intentions that will bring contentment?

R. Intentions.

S. So there is no necessary need to fight doing one action of being more connected to the group and spirituality?

R. The main thing is the intention.

7. S. (15:20) What is the attitude you have towards the Creator, so we want to bring him contentment?

R. That we are trying just like little children who are very stubborn who are continually doing something that they want and have no rest. Likewise, we want to work until we bring contentment to the Creator in the current state, in the current degree, in the current conditions this is called acquiring the state, achieving the state. As a result, we will have some sort of connection to the Creator.

S. We need to nag toward the Creator, what motivates us?

R. Because we want to have contact, connection, adhesion with him as an ultimate end and final goal. This is also the goal at the end of each and every operation but also at the end of all of the operations at the end of correction, we achieve adhesion.

S. Is it necessary that when I bring contentment to the Creator, I feel I am paying for it toward my desire to receive?

R. I don't understand what you mean?

S. I feel that I'm losing something with my desire to receive.

R. If you are losing something, then you can't bring him contentment.

8. S. (17:09) The Creator is perfect, according to what we learn he doesn’t need contentment, how do we bring him contentment?

R. Yes, this is what he wants, this is his deficiency for you to bring him contentment. Yes, this is what he wants to see, this is what he is lacking. I saw it myself that there are many explanations to it, but the bottom line is that there is a contentment to the Creator. When we satisfy him with our relationship and he has a need for it, if you're saying he has nothing, that he is complete and there is nothing to talk about, nothing to work on. But no, my son's defeated me, he is suffering more than we are. It is the Divinity that is afflicted, that is in sorrow. Don't just block yourself with this one phrase and that's it.

9. S. (18:37) When we establish connection between us in the 10, my Creator is the friend's desires. I am immersed in that completely?

R. Yes. If I am here with my friends then I am automatically adhered to the Creator as well, as there is no Creator without a created thing. The Creator is what is revealed, come, and see when I connect to the friends. The complete connection to the friends is actually what brings me to the connection with the Creator and this happens through all kinds of attempts along the way but that gradually is built.

S. How is it possible to learn this work more to put in a true desire to benefit the friends?

R. Learn more from our friends, we have to learn from our friends. I have learned a lot from my teachers but more for my friends.

10. S. (19:58) It's not hard to understand that bestowal is more important than reception as it is pure but to bestow contentment to the Creator is not something that's felt or simple, how to reach the state where it is felt as important?

R. If we don't study and work in the 10, if we don't look at the friends, we will not advance, don't be wise guys as no intellect or efforts will help if they are outside of the 10. This is how it works. All your questions that are aiming towards all kinds of opportunity and possibility are hard for me to listen to because they only prolong the way.

Excerpt 17 (21:30 - 25:33) Twice

11. R. This is what we have to do for the time being if we are not drawn to bestow contentment upon the Creator then we have to do this by force, by coercion.

Reader continues: Afterwards when he has already accustomed himself ....”

12. R. That is it, the Creator is looking only at the intention.

Reader continues: “this brings contentment to the Creator and ....”

13. R. About this it is written and then you will delight in the Lord

Reader continues: “even during the work of the Creator he will feel the ....”

14. R. I don't really have much to add as there is a lot of excitement here and very great impressions from what Baal HaSulam writing here.

S. (25:39) What does it mean to delight in the Lord?

R. The Creator is the source of the pleasures, all of the pleasures in this world and in this life. It doesn't matter from which source even from the Sitra Achra other side, from many shells, good or bad things if it is a pleasure and its absolute value, is pleasure than it is coming from the Creator. The fact that He dresses and all kinds of clothes, not so nice or nice those that are suitable are not suitable to the Creator all come from him and pleasure means something that shines from us, from the Creator and it is really the Creator as how He appears. The Creator is pure pleasure without any dresses or anything. This is really the concept of the Creator and we certainly can't receive it in this way, so it dresses and all kinds of clothes that are appropriate for him in terms of intention or inappropriate in terms of intention. The intention may go along with the nature of the pleasure to bestow in order to bestow and they can be the opposite of the nature of the pleasure, where the pleasure is received in being separated from the source of the pleasure which is entirely to receive. Really it all depends for us upon the intention, but all of the pleasure comes from the Creator and what the Creator wants by this when there is the collision between the intention and the pleasure is for us to prefer the intention, to rise above the pleasure not to be like the still, vegetative an animate which live in order to feel and increase the pleasure only. That they don't care who or what as long as they enjoy more and wherever they seem more pleasure is where they run too. We on the other hand want to elevate ourselves to the level of the speaking, to the level of the human being where we scrutinize not the pleasure but from who we are enjoying and that is the most important and this is why our intention should be first of all to be directed toward the Creator, the source of the pleasure. We want to connect to bestowing the pleasure not to the pleasure. This is why we receive the light the guest receives from the host only to be to give to the host otherwise he does not receive.

15. S. (29:02) How important is it to make the teacher happy?

R. It is a secondary outcome. It is not really that important, it is more important if you constantly think about how to make the friends happy and through them the Creator. Rav is like a kindergarten teacher standing aside and she is happy when you succeed.

16. S. (30:22) Is it worthwhile to abstain from an action before having a correct intention?

R. Yes, we have to have the intention. It is very important but there are operations of themselves that help us to reach the intention. Let's say I don't have real intentions to bestow upon the friends but that I am in the 10 and I give them, I do something good for them in practice, even though my intentions are still like that. Here the action yields the intention as Rabash writes a lot about it.

17. S. (31:24) Is it correct to pray outside of the ten, to not pray alone and if so, what is the deficiency of such an action?

R. We have to try and then you will see that there is none as wise as the experienced and you will see what it does to you.

18. S. (32:12) If I understood the question correctly, the friend was asking if it is written don't pray alone so from here, he is asking, is it worthwhile instead of praying alone to pray with someone who is not from the 10?

R. No, we don't do anything outside of the 10, there is no such thing. We don't talk about anything that has to do with our spiritual work but only for the purpose of dissemination. Not that we have any spiritual work with someone who is outside of the group.

19. S. (32:59) We say many times that we want to bring contentment to the Creator's so where do we direct our intention in such a case, the essence is the force that operates upon us and everything outside of me is outside of me what is the creator in that expression to bring contentment?

R. It all depends upon how correctly you picture him. If you picture the Creator correctly then it is a force that you are in and it constantly accompanies you, raising you, nurturing you, organizing you and building you and this is the creator who is constantly in you and around you.

S. Is it possible to say that I want to change the vector from enjoying to giving pleasure?

R. You can say whatever you want. The question is how true is it?

20. S. (34:37) We say that bestowing contentment to the Creator is in the 10 in the work between us, the question is a person who receives some sorrow from something in his ordinary life, in that state can he still bestow contentment to the Creator?

R. Yes of course

S. How in the state where the person lacks something in this world, how can he be so contentment?

R. He rises above his personal problems. It's called rising above his coarseness and wants above the coarseness or even with the coarseness to bestow upon the Creator. We will always have problems, there will always be problems, there will always be trouble, there will always be coarseness that interferes with pleasing the Creator and he always has to rise above it.

S. What does it mean that he can rise above the unpleasant feeling and he can bestow?

R. Despite it, what is more important, precisely because there are disturbances you can see how much he rises.

21. S. (36:16) The excerpt says at first, we work by way of coercion and then there is pleasure,

what can a person do if he feels that he is stuck for a long time in this coercion and doesn't have pleasure from the work?

R. Why does he not have pleasure from working in coercion?

S. He is suffering and not enjoying what he is doing?

R. The Creator is giving him these conditions of being in this difficulty. There are many things that seem to obstruct him so if he knows it comes from the Creator, He has to work against it. Why shouldn't he get pleasure out of it? The pleasure should be revealed on top of the difficulties that the Creator gives him because by this you can be next to the Creator. Do you understand? It depends upon how you look at these things. If you're saying there's none else besides him and the Creator, did it to me because there is none else besides him so, you can already see and look for how you make the pleasure appear over all of those apparently bad things, frightening things, difficult things, and you will see how beautifully they connect.

S. How is it possible to connect the suffering to the Creator?

R. It is what you are doing, not the Creator. He wants you to overcome. so instead of suffering you will feel pleasure. How will you get pleasure if you don't overcome suffering? The pleasure is revealed in the coarseness, in the collision, in the resistance.

S. What does it mean to overcome suffering?

R. It is to attribute both the problem and the questions to the Creator, who in this way wants to elevate you in spirituality.

S. And the joy is because I managed to attribute it to the Creator?

R. Yes, you attribute both the difficulty and the problems, and you attribute the success. When you know that this is so to the Creator and you are turning to the Creator to get from him the powers to overcome. You attribute everything to the Creator, there is none else besides him, what can you do? You divided into several reasons that this comes from that side and that comes from another side, that is not good.

22. S. (39:36) What is bestowing contentment to the Creator?

R. You have to picture it like friends, like a mother, like something that gives you some corporeal form, correct form. This is what you need to do. This will be considered something to the Creator for the time being, as the Creator feels everything besides yourself, your ego. If you yourself do good to others and in order to understand you are really doing good and this to others. This is how you have to do through the 10. Otherwise, it will be for yourself and you will be confusing yourself only. If you do good to others through the 10, then this is regarded as doing good to the Creator because the Creator stands behind each and every friend.

23. S. (41:00) Thank you, there is this great fear as it says that one kind of work for the Creator as the Creator created creation opposite to himself and there's a feeling that we need to receive everything for ourselves to bring full benefit to the Creator. How do we relate to that?

R. That which the Kabbalist writes in the articles you have to read, what does it mean to receive everything from the Creator? What is everything, that I exist, that I have come to a stage where I have connection with the spiritual work that I have received from the Creator and I have to thank him and I have to by this bring him contentment, that is the way it is.

24. S. (42:01) How is it possible that the Creator is perfect if he has a deficiency for us to be in an equivalence with him?

R. He created everything out of a deficiency, but it is not a deficiency what is the thought of creation?

S. To benefits of created beings.

R. Right, so is that a deficiency or not?

S. I would say yes.

R. Yes right, so you can say that the Creator is deficient in doing good to his creation, so this is his deficiency, fine.

25. S. (42: 48) We speak about delighting and enjoying, do these things connect?

R. You have to enjoy creation if you want to please the Creator because his wish, his initial wish is to benefit the created beings.

26. S. (43:22) I heard you say that the pleasure we receive is in the collision. I also heard you say that where there is pure pleasure the Creator dwells so where is this inside the 10?

R. We feel pleasure when our action runs up against a boundary, resistance and we rise up above this resistance and we continue and then we feel pleasure. You can't feel pleasure without resistance to the pleasure. In all of the pleasures, even in corporeal pleasures, the lowest ones, it always has to come through an effort in overcoming some disturbance and then you feel the pleasure. All the more so with spiritual pleasures which we have to detect in the 10.

S. This has to be through our request to the Creator?

R. It doesn't matter the request, a prayer, or all kinds of things with the friends, it doesn't matter it is impossible not to have resistance in the wisdom of Kabbalah It is called Aviut, coarseness and specifically on top of it we can feel the height, the depths, the power, and intensity of the connection. The intensity of giving, the love, and the connection. All of these phenomena should be revealed over the coarseness without it is impossible to feel anything.

27. S. (45:44) When I sit with my friends together and we read TES and I feel that they bestow upon me, how should I bring contentment in this state to the Creator?

R. You think about how you reach a state where you bring contentment to the Creator and the Creator enjoys all of you, what you learn is secondary. What is important is always to be inclined and, in that tendency, in that direction.

28. S. (46:39) I also ask because it was such a strong sensation that you received something, you want to keep this going on like the engine, like the spiritual heart going on so how to keep the connection?

R. This all depends upon your connection with the friends, how much you are with them.

29. S. (47:44) What is the way to thank the Creator?

R. Through the 10, otherwise it will not be for the Creator, if we want it to be for the Creator then specifically through the 10.

S. How do you connect to the 10 in order to please the Creator, what is this operation?

R. By a thread, like a string from a construction store. I try to practically tie yourself together and when you are sitting together, that may help that you will start feeling that you are tied up together and then how can you separate? Then talk about it, how can this connection be felt among you, how can it dress among you. But now I am tied to you and I want to, and I can't do it, I am already deficient in it. What are you laughing at? Not a good example? In spirituality this is how we are interconnected. Try it. If you come to some situation where you are in a meeting, where some are able to do and some are not, but even if you can't, you need to describe that you are connected like that, dependent. Because in spirituality it is really so. If their friends will not want to be with me in a single spiritual action then I don't reach the Creator, no request of mine, any cry of my own, it doesn't reach the Creator. If I want to reach the Creator, I have to buy the friends, buy yourself a friend. That I am truly luring them as much as possible to also give me contact with the Creator because I depend upon them. The Creator is completely good, but between me and the Creator if there are no friends to make that connection, to present me to the Creator, then I am not going to be able to reach him, he is not going to be able to hear me.

S. (51:24) What should the 10 do if it discovers that it was exposed to hatred that they can't put out in their connection? If hatred appeared in the 10 and they can't put it out, what should they do?

R. If it is truly an unsolvable issue then they need to determine a prayer, a common prayer that the Creator will get involved and help them to take care of them and arrange between them a new relationship. The best thing is to write, as when you sit together or not even physically but through your computer screens and you have a common shared document and, in that document, you write down an address to the Creator. What happened, what is happening, what will happen, what do you want to happen? But not scattered too much, this is what I recommend. Then you will be examining yourselves to see whether your prayers are correct.

30. S. (53:06) What is the meaning of pleasing others through the 10 if you can give us an example?

R. A tangible example for that I can't give you, when we all connect between us in the 10 more or less in our complete group of 10 where we are at, then out of that we can bestow to the Creator and two others with the force of the Creator. Because 10 together is already a spiritual number that we call a Minyan, it is already in spirituality in a positive or negative way, but it is already there. We need to appreciate, to respect this number, to understand that if we want to bestow anything in life, in the world or to the Creator we have to be connected to the 10, that is the rule.

S. I think the question was the topic of the lesson to bestow contentment to the Creator as with the topic of the lesson what does it mean to bestow to the Creator through the 10?

R. I said it more than once today, maybe it wasn't heard that the Creator only connects to10. As it is said, in every 10 divinity dwells and there is no other thing, only a group when they are connected. When they feel that they are together, to the extent that they feel together, to that intensity and to that extent they connect to the Creator.

31. S. (55:55) How do I know whether I am pleasing the Creator or not?

R. I can't show you the Creator and how he enjoys it because of you. You can see this according to your friends. How much they enjoy your work, your actions, your words, your attitude, and your participation in the 10. According to that you can imagine to yourself the Creator is impressed by you in the same way.

Excerpt 18 (57:13-58:39)

32. R. What is good about this item 18 is that we can see from here all of our work Lishma, according to the degrees, it is all about bestowing contentment to the Creator. All of our degrees and all of our states are about bestowing contentment to the Creator, meaning that intention. What is he saying? After he achieves this degree called Lo Lishma he is awarded with a higher state, when he has no consideration of himself but just to annul himself before the true reality where he feels that he must only serve the king because he feels the exaltedness and the greatness and importance of the king. Then he has no need to worry about himself as he is annulling before the existence of the Creator that he feels, and he is in a state Lishma and that is a certain degree in bestowing contentment to the Creator called Lishma. Meaning giving contentment to the Creator, that he needs to make, and all his concerns and yearnings are only about how to delight the Creator while his own existence, meaning the desire to receive does not merit his name whatsoever. Then he is regarded as bestowing in order to bestow as he already went halfway, now he just has his vessels of reception left to correct so he can also receive in order to bestow. He is already entering the spirituality of receiving in order to bestow. Meaning all of the spiritual degrees from here until the final correction are about how to bring more and more contentment to the Creator and to enjoy that. Yes, we want to enjoy that. That is my goal to bestow contentment to the Creator in order to enjoy it.

33. S. (01:01:19) The coarseness doesn't cancel the importance and greatness of the Creator, how does a person when the coarseness grows, how does a person maintain the importance?

R. He has the books, the lesson and then by that he corrects himself as each time we go through left and right, left, and right, there shall be darkness and there shall be day this is how we walk. How does a person correct the darkness, the burdening of the heart? Only, by also having on the other side, something to rely on.

S. So it turns out when the coarseness grows you have to look for greatness specifically outside of yourself?

R. I never look for greatness in some foundation inside of me, only in the 10 and not outside the 10 or inside of me, only inside the 10. This is the whole spiritual reality.

34. S. (01:03:20) Concerning the excerpt he writes that his essence, his self is canceled as a candle before the torch as before the existence of the Creator how does this happen?

R. Your private self-concerns always disappear when all your personal egoistic concerns go away.

S. How does the existence of the Creator cancel?

R. What does it matter, that is what happens by the light that reforms. You don't know how. You never feel the action of the lights, you feel the result of the action, just as we ourselves are results.

S. He writes here that the existence of the Creator that he feels?

R. Yes

S. How does a person come to feel the existence of the Creator?

R. If you feel love, bestowal, the inclination to love and bestow it means that you begin to feel the Creator because it is His quality. How do you feel the friend? You feel results, you feel outcomes from what He projects to you and the same is with the Creator.

35. S. (01:05:23) The meeting of the 10 without a prayer does it still bring contentment to the Creator?

R. That also even though it's not enough but for now it could be good as well. It is not wrong, but still we connect, we want something. We don't turn to the Creator because we don't yet to feel the Creator. The Creator is not yet so important to them, they care more about what is between them as they haven't reached the state where they actually need the Creator yet. They haven't gotten to it yet, so what can you do? It will come later on. The fact that we feel each and every moment that we depend on the upper force, that There is None Else Besides Him in all of our life, this is already a great salvation.

36. S. (01:06:46) It is written the degree of Lishma and it reads the Torah and Commandments. Lishma what does this mean?

R. He explains this, it’s for the sake of the Torah which means for the sake of the whole system and not the Creator alone. Because we are included in it as well. He explains this (Lishma means contentment to the Creator).

37. S. (01:07:27) I don't know if he's trying to explain the transition between not for her sake and for her sake but it's not clear the transition. He writes that if not for her sake, he attains a higher state where there's no consideration of himself, it's as if it is a result, what is he trying to tell us here?

R. You can't take a piece out of the quote and try to understand what it means. You need to go to the article, this one is called the entry to spirituality and there you can maybe find your answer.

38. S. (01:08:19) What can you do in the 10 when the feeling of the greatness of the Creator makes us feel so small and distant from Him, what do we do?

R. If you belong to the Creator, even if you’re

little by the Creator you've become great. We are not impressed by being little, what is important is just to achieve adhesion. Wherever I am and whoever I am, does not matter to me if I am adhered to the Creator or already as whole as he is.

Excerpt 19 (01:09:26-01:12:58) twice

39. S. How can you understand what it means to bestow upon the Creator if you have no vessels of reception?

R. That is for later. First of all, you need to have a desire to bestow contentment on your part and this can happen only if you do this through friends. How do you bring contentment to the friend? You clarify what he wants, and you try to give it to him, same with the Creator. Try it. Why is this difficult? Because you don't see, so try to do this with the friends and then with the friends, what you do, is like with the Creator. The Creator doesn't have vessels of reception, his vessels of reception are in the friends and if I fulfill the desires of the friends, by that I fulfill the Creator's desire because he Created them, it is his vessel, the whole world is his vessel. The Creator has no desire to receive but this whole, what we call the evil inclination, the whole desire created in reality is all the Creator's vessel. Try to correct it in order to bestow and that raises you to a degree where you can truly be as the Creator towards them and then you bestow to them. Your bestowal upon them will be completely like your bestowal upon the Creator as it says about it, within my People do I Dwell. That the Creator is closed in the created beings and if we fulfill the created beings, we fulfill Him.

S. How do you understand what the friend wants?

R. The friend wants connection with the 10 and with the Creator, that is why he is called your friend and not just for any person so that is what you need to try to bring to him. Connection with the 10 as much as possible and connection with the Creator. To do only that is what you must do.

40. S. (01:16:49) What does it mean to see the world as full of his glory?

R. It means seeing the world in the final correction. Where all of the vessels only want to reveal the force of bestowal in them and this is possible only according to their equivalence of form, the vessel's equivalence to the quality of bestowal which is the Creator and then it is called one receives one. Then there is connection, adhesion between the Creator and the Created being and vice versa.

S. Will all of the vessels see the world in this way at this time?

R. Each one according to his vessels. That is why one judges through his own faults and one discovers according to his own screen.

41. S. (01:18:25) A friend exerts in the work in the 10, what is the right response that he should expect from the system?

R. He doesn't need to expect anything as the more he exerts and wants to bestow to them this is what he will see.

42. S. (01:18:59) You said the friend wants connection with the Creator, in what way can I give that to Him except for asking for correction and connection for the 10?

R. You are asking questions that we have answered a thousand times. I don't know what to say. Say the question again please?

S. You said the friend wants connection with the Creator except for asking the Creator to connect us. Can I do some corporeal action, or anything except for asking for correction and connection in the 10?

R. No, to do some physical actions perhaps that will also help us support our inclination to connect between us and with the Creator, but other than that there is no more to do.

43. S. (01:20:27) Is there room for an intention to enjoy bringing contentment to the Creator or maybe the pleasure should be a secondary result from the operation?

R. No, we need to enjoy whatever contact we have with the Creator as the goal of creation is to benefit and delight the created beings so that needs to be our demand. If a person doesn't enjoy then it means that he is not on the right path, he is not in the right state. The only question is where the joy comes from, reception or bestowal. Recognizing the greatness of the Creator or feeling something in your stomach.

S. So can I intend to enjoy from the beginning, bringing contentment?

R. No, we come to that through the restriction and reflecting light from the vessels of bestowing in order to bestow and only then vessels of receiving in order to bestow. We still don't have the vessels in which we can enjoy spirituality, in a spiritual way. A spiritual vessel is one that enjoys bestowing, that I don't have such foundations yet, I can't bestow and enjoy. If it is to my baby, to my little child certainly, but to others, my fellow people? No, this is how we are built.

44. S. (01:22:30) You begin to contemplate what the Creator needs so can we give it to Him, how do we know what the Creator needs?

R. What the Creator needs, is only that we take care of each other and bring contentment between us and from that contentment between us, we relate to Him and we make a place for Him to be revealed. The Creator's desire is to be revealed in the created beings, but it depends on the equivalence of form meaning how much we bestow, that is how much He can bestow and then He can appear.

45. S. (01:23:47) How can I convey to my 10 my complete dependence upon them in a credible spiritual way now that we are virtual?

R. How can you convince them you are devoted to them? That is what you want to say? You try using all kinds of actions that you are only concerned about them. When do you connect, when do you gather, what are you discussing, what are you studying and how do you prepare yourself for the lesson? There are many things, try to show them that you have nothing for yourself and it is all for the benefit of the 10 and this is what each and every one should do. There is nothing personal, only what belongs to the 10.

46. S. (01:26:00) Concerning contentment, there is a situation where my kids are grown up and no one has time for me. They are all busy and they keep apologizing. I tell them one thing. I ask them to show me that you have a good connection among themselves. To know what is happening, to meet from time to time. If I know this, I will be happy, and I don't need anything else is this something like it.

R. Yes, you can say so.

S. In the connection between us in the 10 I remember the conclusions of the previous Congress that the relationships between us are the closest to spirituality. This pertains to the relationship in the 10, is this correct?

R. Yes, soon we will start talking about the Congress as we have 3 days. We will start talking about it a little bit and you will see we are on the same page.

47. S. (01:27:29) Concerning the restriction the question is, do we perform a restriction above reason, within reason or does the Creator do this in the Partzuf of the 10? When does he decide?

R. The restriction we do because we want to separate from our ego and belong to the Creator. The transition from in order to receive to in order to bestow, the restriction over our will to receive, that is the boundary between this world and the spiritual world. So, making the restriction over each and every desire that appears in us is the first action of spiritual ascent. That I restrict my desire even though I want to enjoy it. I restrict it because otherwise if I have nothing to enjoy, I have nothing to restrict then my action is meaningless, that it is not happening. Restriction means that I really want to enjoy in corporeality, and I restrict it because I want to exist in spirituality in order to bestow.

48. S. (01:29:29) We constantly don't feel the pleasures of the Creator, so the Creator is not happy but if we feel pleasures then the vessel breaks, so is there another way?

R. Not feel pleasure that's okay, but to feel pleasures from the Creator, then our vessels break so how? We always feel that way. It's best for us to be in a connection between us and to use this pleasure in order to bestow contentment to the friends and through them to the Creator as it is always possible. We are not given from above pleasures that we are not capable of overcoming. We are always given such pleasures that you can overcome and if you didn't overcome that also is because from above. You are being given to see how even though the pleasures that you could overcome you did not succeed, are in order to teach you just like children are taught, not to fall when they start walking.

49. S. (01:31:30) We are studying now, and the feeling is that the process is very slow, and I wanted to ask about that, to wake up the true spiritual work. Should or must we feel the flavor of death before?

R. I don't know what that is, and I don't want to know about that. I just want to say that disconnection from the group and from the Creator is the same thing and it has to be for us as death. That is what we need to come to and all the rest that you are intending there I am not certain exactly I don't know that. Connection to the ten and to the group is life disconnection from the Creator and from the group is death.

Excerpt 20 (01:33:28 - 01:34:38) twice

50. S. In what way can I make efforts from the restriction? Is this the action of the light? How can I do it?

R. We need to think to which extent we can diminish the use of the desire to receive constantly and in that way, we will slowly come to restriction.

51. S. (01:35:36) What are good deeds?

R. Acts of bestowal are called good deeds. Acts of reception, according to the intention, defines the quality of a deed. Therefore, the intention in order to bestow, no matter whether we received, or give, it doesn't matter. What we are doing as the intention in order to bestow is called a good deed and the intention in order to receive no matter whether giving or receiving is called a bad deed.

52. S. (01:36:27) According to this excerpt there is an order of the work that first, he has to think why he is doing everything to give contentment and then to add the good deeds?

R. Yes.

S. Can you explain the order of the work? What does it mean that I first do the intention and then I do the deed?

R. How would you do it, how do you check, first you need to understand for what and why and how, as this is your intention. It could be in order to receive, it could be in order to bestow but first if you are doing it as an Adam, that is called, one whose eyes are in his head, who first thinks of the reason and the result which is desirable from his action and this is how we advance.

S. When I am clothing the intention it has to be on something I am about to do?

R. Yes.

S. There's no intention to receive only to bestow?

R. I want to bring contentment to the Creator, and I need to check by what can I do this.

S. Then I check what deeds I can do?

R. Yes.

S. Usually before some kind of deed we want to connect in the 10. We start putting the intention on it, meaning to begin with the intention obviously is going to clothe on the deed so what I'm asking is, what if the deed comes before the intention?

R. No, we don't need it that way. First of all, we need to prepare the intention and after the intention, what can we do, what action can we do that will join this intention. If we are already in it, in an action, then we need to examine what intention can we join the deed but in actuality it is always with the intention. What do you want to do, to do an action or you want to bring contentment, if it is to bring contentment, then that is the intention? Now you are seeking, by what am I capable of doing that, how to add the action to the intention.

S. What should I do if they say there's a 10’s meeting in a certain hour, we know the deed beforehand and we are going to do it?

R. That is not the action, the action is the new connection that we now are about to do in the connection between us in order to delight the Creator.

S. So the deed is internal?

R. Of course, you can do it externally as well, but it is not considered spirituality.

S. If we want to do some kind of action and clothe it with an intention, the order is first the deeds and then the intention, it says to begin with the intention can be in order to bestow because I am expecting a result of my deed, it is like ruining my intention, the expectation to succeed?

R. Yes.
