Baal HaSulam - The Last Generation ("A Call for the Chosen Ones to Study Kabbalah ")

1. R. (00:28) We take from all the writings of the last generation from the archive that we have in its complete form in many languages but here we are learning only certain passages in order to help us to advance in our corrections. You have read the introduction and now a call for the chosen ones to study Kabbalah.

2. R. (01:43) In the study of the wisdom of Kabbalah there's a remedy which is a connection with the upper force, to the extent that we read even though we don't understand so much, because we are still not in the matter but if we read it and we want to know, to exert ourselves in it by this we hastened our correction and bring the upper lights closer to us and this is called the remedy. All who engage in reading the writings of Kabbalah even though he doesn't understand them so much, it operates on him works on him to bring him closer to understanding and sensing of the matters that in another way he could not feel. How does this work? Because he's reading, if he wants to understand what he is reading to become familiar and to get closer to what he is reading it invites on him in return a reaction of the upper light about which the book speaks about the operations and the light operates on man to bring him closer to feel Him more. Just like in our world there is something where we read some material and this material gradually developed in us sensations and we begin to understand and feel all sorts of things that beforehand we weren't so close to before. This is how we can to some extent understand what is happening here, this is why it is worthwhile to read as much as possible the material of the Kabbalists, especially those that we advise because they are much closer to each and every one from all of the sum total of all of the other material because there is a lot of similar that may even bring us more distance. It is worthwhile for us to go gradually and bring us closer as only those things that are standing before us to be revealed.
3. S. (04:35) Is Baal HaSulam serious when he says he's not among the finest in the human race?
R. Each and every person who progresses in spirituality sees himself as worse and every person who reveals spirituality, he sees just how much he understands something very small and external, some part. This is the truth that if you enter a hospital and speak with the janitor, they know what to do they take care of everything. You speak to a professor, they have doubts, you speak to someone even higher, the more of a person gets into a profession he could maybe speak although he understands and knows but inside, he has more and more doubts because he knows more, so he has more doubts. This is how it is in each subject and even more so in the wisdom of Kabbalah because we are speaking about the Creator which is infinite and man which is not. One who is greater than his friend, his inclination, his desire is greater so we reveal ourselves as more and more left which is a sign of progress.
S. (06:11) Who are the chosen people in the generation that he writes about who will discover abundance and happiness?
R. Those who can connect with the Creator and utilize the 3 lines with the middle line, which is called Segula, the remedy. That they reach the revelation of light according to attainment. To the extent of infinite light, we don't know as they're not still at the end of correction, in total we are receiving from those same people who enter spirituality and in this they have some attainment which is relative and limited to each one according to his degree. It is written about Moses, that it wasn't like Moses as a prophet one who retains being close to the upper force. But we don't know what will truly happen or what will be revealed at the end of correction because until the entire vessel will be revealed at the end of correction with all of the broken souls we can't and won't know the truth in its final way but rather always in some degree.
S. (07:57) In our generation are there still a chosen few to perform the correction?
R. Also there were unique individuals but the correction passes on from them to the general. All of those who are in some attainment in a spiritual world their role today is to serve the audience, the public because today is the general final correction. The main thing is that the goal is not that man will grow and reveal his connection to the Creator but rather that as much as all of us, all of the people will serve the generality of humanity because this is already the last generation.
S. In the last generation are there a chosen few, are Bnei Baruch the chosen few or are they collective who have to serve the rest of humanity?
R. I am not familiar with any unique individuals, it is about the descent of the generations as we get closer to the end of correction there is a descent of the generations. You see those who are with Abraham and Moses even with Rabbi Shimon and his friends, ARI and his friends. In our days, everything is ended.
S. (09:31) How will the world manage without a chosen few?
R. That’s not my worry, I need to do what’s up to me as much as I understand meaning as much as I’m allowed to understand, I make an effort to work accordingly. It’s not important to me and it does not pain me that I am not like Moses. I need to be me, that I will reach a state that I will operate in one hundred percent as in the root of my soul and that is enough for me.

4. R. (10:59) Meaning all of his work that he sees is to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah to all of humanity and spread it between everyone that it will be truly that he will go out and call the people of the world with this horn, meaning to explain to everyone what is the wisdom of Kabbalah and what is the remedy in this study as much as we need to engage in it in order to bring the world to a corrected state, otherwise we will reach in stages such that will obligate us in very great suffering. As he writes there, a third world war and a fourth world war, nuclear wars and very big problems. We need to help Baal HaSulam to continue to reveal the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and the methods of correction, that they will be understood and in reach of everyone's hand.
S. Baal HaSulam can't hold back and he has his huge drive to reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah. A person who doesn't feel a drive to the wisdom of Kabbalah, can you do something about it?
R. It doesn't matter if one doesn't have an urge like Baal HaSulam, as according to his degree that he sees in what state the purpose of creation and in what state the created beings are and in the gap between one and the other, he feels himself as such that this pressure, to tell everyone and awaken everyone to draw everyone, we need to continue his path even though we don't understand so much his lack, his pressure, his urgency.
S. (13:23) His lack, his pressure, his urgency, we see that there are friends who have a strong disposition toward dissemination, it hurts them and some others, I think the majority are less so. Should it be this way or does someone who doesn't feel this drive should worry and do something about it?
R. That depends on the person and the root of his soul and I can't say but each and every person needs to take some examples from Baal HaSulam and to do as much as possible more in disseminating this wisdom. In this, he will feel that he wants to advertise the Creator in the world and get closer to Him, the Creator in contrast, will do the same towards him.
S. From where do you get the drive because it's hard to do things if you don’t have an inner pressure for it?
R. Start even without a drive and you will see how much onwards it draws you forward, because you will see how much there is concealed light and the salvation for humanity and how much in our state today with the Coronavirus and all sorts of problems in the world, how much we have in this, nonetheless that we must reach connections. The world is in a state that it can already begin to understand in something, what we are speaking about.
S. Should we expect to have this inner drive or do we continue to work without the inner drive?
R. Initially it doesn't have to be the desire and drive, who knows the person's beginning what he is doing, whoever is not in the spiritual world doesn't know to what extent that it is important to reveal to everyone, he just hears it from the books he reads about it here and there, he doesn't have that inner desire, so what do we need to do? We need to believe in the Kabbalists what they tell us, to make an effort to perform such, because in that we will get closer to the Kabbalists and the Creator. Even in our simple dissemination as a simple person, nonetheless we perform the desire of the Creator bringing Him closer in disseminating the Creator, advertising to all of creation which is a very great thing because only by such a thing can a person grow.
S. Most of the time in lessons we hear you talk about the work in the 10 and the work in connection, now that we are learning these writings we feel more because it is obvious that we have to add in dissemination. In times when we don't speak openly about it, how do we continue this work of dissemination?
R. We must do this with all our forces as much as possible and in a widespread manner because this is the call of the time as the entire world is in this. Can you imagine to yourself what is going to be in another half of a year? Things will cascade as I have in the past two years what will be? The entire world burning up or in floods, the Corona advanced thing with new viruses? Who knows what else? We need to make an effort as much as possible to disseminate the knowledge of what is the reason for all of these things and what are the medicines, the true one for all of these problems. The wisdom of Kabbalah explains this, the only medicine is connection between human beings and in this we bring the positive upper light closer to us and in case we are safe from all bad things.
5. S. (18:03) What are we missing in order to reach the Congress celebrating that we have already reached the state of Ibur and not that we are actually trying to reach it during the Congress?
R. Only the connection between you and how to perform this. We spoke about it for hours upon hours. It all depends upon you. If we want to reach the connection called Ibur, then let's reach it, that we all come together as one man and one heart and we have all of the means for that.
6. S. (19:24) Baal HaSulam and the other Tzaddikim wrote that in the last generation young people will attain spirituality so to ask about myself and other friends who started this wisdom at a very young age. What would you like to say about our spiritual development and our responsibility for the next generations?
R. There is no limitation by age to engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah. There is no limitation. When I began to study with Rabash when I returned home from study I would sit down and read The Preface which we begin learning with him and my son would sit next to me and he would listen, he was 7 years old back then. Later I discovered that he is actually hearing from what I'm speaking and he understands and remembers these things and when I told those I was learning with they said very nice, they never said stop. They wanted to see him, so I brought him later to a meal. What am I trying to say? They never told me that there was any limitation. The children are not allowed to be here so I think you're ok so I think you can continue.
