Winning the War - Peace among Friends. #59

1.Rav’s Introduction: Yes, before that we had a different section in this collection, 'Peace Among Opposites.' As a result of that, we come to 'Peace Among Friends.' It is all our development, all of humanity is when each grows and develops in their nature, in their ego until we discover reluctantly that we have to be somehow connected, organized between us. That it is to our benefit, or we simply destroy each other without any benefits to anyone. Therefore, these opposites that appear in humanity also in each and every one of us, one feels himself to some extent, torn and divided into several pieces, different opinions and also sees how it is not certain since through external influences he may be pulled one way or another. There is no independent point for the person. This is true for each and every one because humanity does not discover its fundamental point, it is constantly twisting and turning either to the extreme right or the extreme left. The same is happening inside the person inside of a family, inside a society, inside nations and the whole world and  if we wish to reach a certain fundamental point, a foundation point we need to understand that our craftsmanship has to be that. We build our foundation on the connection between opposites and not when one wins over the other.

There is no room for war rather there is a place for war inside  each one so he  would rise above himself and connect with the others who are also doing the same work . This is what we discussed in the previous excerpts that "love covers all transgressions'  and so on and so forth. The advantage of light from darkness specifically by connecting two opposites. We get the fundamental point from which we can continue and expand this because this is the point of connection between two opposites. This point brings us the essence of the Creator, the revelation of the Creator, the feeling of the Creator, where He already shines through this point. As much as we try to annul the 'I ' and connect to the others in this way mutually. I to my beloved and my beloved to me, we come to a state where  the Creator can also dress in to us and shows the point above  two opposites which is Him, Himself. He is also the source of the two opposite, and He also does not belong to either one of them. He is a concealed source; He is a degree that is higher than both. That is why in our development we have to reach a state where each one understands and is willing and is capable of annulling himself for the sake of connecting with the one opposite him and by this he becomes specifically in connection with the Creator. This is the realization or the actualization of our nature correctly. 

We have come to study these portions that are called 'Peace Among Friends' that can be completion, connection between the friends but that will not exist unless both sides understand the necessity of the mutual concessions. This is the correct attitude. This is the correct direction in our development and here the Creator helps them and connects them, and then he concludes the entire process, Him, Himself. By being in these mutual concessions and the mutual search for how to be with the thing and it's opposite for each one. In this way they find the place where they discover the Creator. This place is called Shechina (Divinity). It is not built on the will to receivers of each side but specifically above these two sides where each makes a concession subjugation on himself in order to rise. There they meet and build a place for the revelation of the Creator. 

Let's read these excerpts and feel how relevant it is, how current  it belongs to us, to our times on our development. The development that we have gone through. We have come to a state where we can now position ourselves correctly and face mutual concession and the revelation of the Creator and at the peak of mutual concessions one towards another. We build  a state, the true spiritual state. We will see each one of the friends as help against. The Creator will help us since that which does not exist in anyone, each one can receive it from the friends by annulling himself and accepting the other. Also the other annuls himself and accepts him. In this mutual concession we build something that was not there, a spiritual degree. What fills it is the upper force, the Creator. We will see according to how they write it. Let's start to read the excerpt. The Peace Between Opposites.

Excerpt 55:  (10:00 ) Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Assorted Counsels, “Peace,” 10

2. R. (10:47) Later we will learn how we can truly build over this connection between two opposites. The third essence that does not belong to any one of them. In this third essence to build life in technology, in new technology. Everything that we can imagine, we can depict, we cannot even do that yet, but we will enter, and we will see how our entire lives, in these concessions between two we build an interest in a new world, a new reality on all levels.

3. S. (12:43) It says that men enter the bad path and then leaves it, what does it mean?

R. From the beginning we are in something that is just egotistical but when we wish to develop our development brings us to grow the ego into a greater will to receive more and more because he who is greater than his friend his inclination is also greater. This is how we advance in our will to receive that keeps on growing. Although we learn and we feel more if all remains in the will to receive that is growing it is not in concession, it is not in the desire to bestow. Then we discover gradually through certain actions and most importantly through the reforming light that we invite and then we come to a state where we will begin to feel how much we lack the attainment of our root, this is what is concealed, obtaining the root, that I need Him in my feeling, in my intellect, in my understanding, and perception. Rather I want to be incorporated in it. I want to feel that I am Him and that I am in Him. Our development brings us to a new deficiency,  incorporating into the root and to annul in it. This is our goal.

S. What is Incorporated into the root? 

R. Our roots are not good nor bad. It is simply this source of everything, all of creation. We begin to discover that this is what we are after to rise above the good and above the bad. We want to reach the source. You lose these discernments of good and bad but the upper one the source that is important for us.

S. In our work in the ten how should we along with the friends incorporate with the root.

R. By making concessions towards one another. It's not simple. You have to learn how to do this. You make yourself a zero. Rabash writes about this but his zero is not the zero when we erase ourselves. When I annul myself and through this concession I am included into others and seemingly I continue to live in them, When I annul myself, my concession towards them becomes a new structure as it is written the conflict of the elders is the building of the new structure. That's how we advance. We still need to scrutinize it. We lack sufficient work with this.

4. S. (17:09) Why the new things we go through in the qualities  they are the opposite. We can just take and use them, but we perceive them as cause and consequence. Why does it happen like that?

R. It is true, and it is natural this is how we advance. Where each thing begets the next thing. Every state gives birth to the next state. There is nothing here that goes against the upper or lower logic. We always advance in this way, the thing and it's opposite.

5.S. (18:00) It is still not clear why the person goes into the bad path and then leaves it, and the Creator grows in its glory. What does it mean? I did something bad and left it and then I grow?

R. You cannot climb to a higher degree unless you let go of the previous degree at the previous step ,the previous state. When you see that the state you are in is not good, not from the point of view of your ego, but the point of view of advancing towards connection, You are revealing the Creator and giving Him contentment a bit more or less through the friends. Then through all these states you decide on, then use them to rise to the next degree.

S. The problem here is that the bad state also has to be related to the Creator? 

R. Yes, it is true. You have to connect all the states to the Creator advance in them, see how they cloth into you, and you go through them to a higher connection. a higher connection with the group  That is there the correct line, the true line through which you can advance without making mistakes . You have to annul between the friends whatever it might be he who is greater than his friend his evil inclination is also greater so that person has more and more problems with the friends to such an extent that they all  want to kill each other and despite that they all find the strength through various means to overcome this forces of opposition  and resistance to  connection in the group. This is how we advance. You have to measure ourselves in the group. Everyday how much you attain connection today more than yesterday. We have to  demand of the Creator, request from the Creator that he show us measurements. How can we measure ourselves according to our feelings and our intellect?

S. Turns out that the problem is much as I understand that this process of tying the good and the bad to the Creator. What we have learned  about peace, the state of peace. The main problem is to relate the bad  to the Creator. I cannot understand why since I cannot nullify before the ten.

R. I don’t really understand the question. Of course the egoistic desire is growing in you. Positioning you opposite the friends and also the Creator it is clear. Then you have to see in it the forces of advancement.

6. S. (22:07) Why does spiritual connection require two opposites and also their mutual nullification? 

R. Through the mutual annulment they begin to feel a higher degree because the higher degree is built on top of their mutual concessions that includes both of them and it connects, combines both of them. This is called raising them to the degree of Bina above reason, above the ego of each one when they suddenly begin to feel that it is taking place. Because of the higher light they feel that they can connect, and this connection brings them to a new state. That the two of them become one to some extent. This is a higher degree. Meaning the higher we climb up the degrees the more united we become. Then two becomes one and opposites complement one  another. This is all of the spiritual corrections; this is the ladder of degrees we have realize. If we are prepared for this as much as possible in the relationship between us, the corporeal relationships, we prepare ourselves for it, then we will enter all of it. 

7. S. (24:04) Continuing the previous question, why don't we feel these opposites within us? We  either lean to one side or the other. Is it the convenience of the ego, what should we detach from?

R. Of course our ego is mostly running this role of separating us, dividing us and when it does this we begin to feel the difference between ourselves and the Creator and if you overlap these two discernments, these qualities then you come to the state of the Creator. But to combine them is impossible, only if we climb to a higher degree. Meaning if we acquire the qualities of Bina, mutual bestowal then we can connect between us and then it means that we rose from the level of Malchut to the level of Bina and the state of Bina is the upper mother that connects us and sustains us together. 

8. S. (25:49) What insights should we take from this lesson for the foundation of a new peace culture and peace education?

R. I hope that we will read all these excerpts, process them, each can do that inside himself and all of us together in the groups. Then it will become clear what is required of us in order to be in spiritual qualities. 

9. S. (26:42) In terms of the ordinary mind it is impossible, above reason it becomes clear. So what is the technique to go through this transition? 

R. This technology is what the wisdom of Kabbalah talks to you about. So I'm not sure what else to say. It’s annulment towards the friends, it’s what Rabash shares about the group. If you do that you will see that this is the technology.

10. S. (27:20) I heard from you that we need to see every day what our level of connection is. It is not clear how to do this. Everyone has his own states during the day.

R. It is OK that each one has his own states but each one also has to measure somehow to what extent he annuls himself towards the friends, and this is the degree of his connection.

11. S. (27:54) It is written in the excerpt that there is no light but that which comes out of darkness because when that side surrenders then the Creator rises above, and His glory grows. So one side surrenders to the other, not that a third thing appears above, on top of them. So how do you see that? 

R. The darkness for us is our inability to connect to opposites. Therefore we annul ourselves towards that third side, the upper one which is not understood, not attained, not felt. But we raise it as a higher value. There is nothing higher than that, it’s the Creator. It needs to be higher than all the calculations and all of our feelings and when we raise Him we annul before Him, we bow down before Him and we can reach this only from the darkness that we feel. Otherwise we have no other way of existing in our current state, where the states are so sharp, so different, so in opposition that it is impossible to connect them together.

This inability to connect two opposites, which brings us darkness and this darkness we consider as the negative or the evil force where we cannot unify things together. The one who is raising us to a higher degree, the Creator who brings us the feeling of this darkness is actually showing us how much we need to rise towards the connection between us and above our reason. There I go with my eyes shut and I advance towards Him specifically and in this state I have no good, no bad and I want everything to be revealed as one, the one source, I want it to be revealed. We come to such  states of confusion, helplessness, inability to decide. That there is no good and no bad rather  everything is so confused that I have nothing to do. Therefore this wholeness is revealed where this is the only way to keep the good and the bad and this comes by rising to a higher degree, a spiritual degree. We have to go through this.

12. S. (31:50) How can we call our evil inclination as evil? We do not recognize it in our will to receive. How can I come to this awareness that I can rise above it? 

R. We do it by wanting to connect. By feeling a true need for connection we feel what stops us from getting to connection, from which we can perform an action to the Creator to bestow  contentment to Him. What interrupts, what stands between us, and connection is called the evil inclination. To the extent that we grow the Creator in our eyes, how important it is for us to bestow to Him, accordingly we’ll hate the evil inclination that interrupts us. This is how we cover the evil inclination because the evil inclination is the one that stands in the middle line on the path between us and the Creator. 

13. S. (33:30) Can it be that there is a vessel without opposites? 

R. A vessel without opposites cannot be. There is no vessel that does not include refinement and coarseness. There has to be the coarseness, screen and reflected light. These opposites have to be there. The entire system of nature is built on these opposites also the concept of the Creator,  BoReh, come and see, is built relative to us from opposites. That’s why we only build spirituality in  this way, we compile it before our senses, our eyes.

S. So it means that every Kli is always a result of some resistance, some dispute, it cannot come otherwise?

R. Of course not, we are learning about it. There’s a screen, coarseness, restriction, reflected light and your connection with the Creator is built on top of that and all the previous states, the coarseness, restriction, screen you build, that from the connection between the parts that are foreign to one another, opposite, hostile. As much as they can connect between them, they build the Partzuf and only from that can we approach the revelation of the Creator and relationship with the Creator. As much as you have this resistance and collision and above that you have connection inside the vessel, inside the group. The Creator is also revealed inside the group. It’s something that’s revealed from the correct balance between all the parts that contradict one another. 

S. So what do you do if you cannot connect the opposites because they are so much in contrast? How to bring them into completion if they cannot connect?

R. A common goal, the revelation of the Creator where one cannot do it without the others.

S. So the completion is in that goal? 

R. Yes because this is where our hearts will rejoice.

S. So the opposite will be always in resistance in contrast? 

R. Yes but the goal connects them. 

S. So what is the vessel according to the goal? 

R. You have a situation when they are all opposite to one another and together they all connect in order to attain the Creator, to resemble Him, to bestow to Him, to adhere to Him. This is the vessel that’s built entirely on the ego. The Creator created the resistance between everyone, and we rise above these qualities.

S. So the goal cancels the conflict and disputes, or it creates a Kli above them?

R. No, above them, that’s the source of coarseness. The coarseness does not appear in one or the other or the third one. It is revealed when you have this opposition between these parts and those parts in the vessel. The resistance grows, the tension which grows above that, they close it, they seal it with love and then in this entire complex between the ego and the restriction, the  screen, the reflected light you discover this quality of the unity, of the Creator that they built.

S. So then what do you end up with, that instead of this dispute you feel the common goal without canceling anything?

R. We don’t cancel anything. We simply know how to do it correctly, how to work correctly with what the Creator gave the created beings.

S. So the clash continues in terms of resistance? How do we become a Kli if we are always in collision? 

R. Above it. Otherwise what does it mean restriction, screen, reflected light? Everything is above our ego, each one’s ego and all of ours together. This is how we build it in annulment towards  one another in the group. We build the relationship to the Creator and then He is revealed. Why  specifically in the ten? The ten is a complete ego that is constantly colliding and erupting and has all these internal states and knows how to restrict itself, to manage itself under a certain amount of pressure. Of course it gets this from above, but it knows how to manage its ego in such a way that the darkness will shine as light. Otherwise the created beings have no other way to reach the form of the Creator, to attain Him. Attaining the Creator means that we arrange Him in us, that quality.

S. It’s just that the contradiction I cannot understand is if we build a Kli above all the resistance to each other how does that not cancel the disputes? How does it not cancel the collision between the two sides?

R. The will to receive does not get purified, refined, it continues to grow the will of receive. Rather  what we try to do each time is to work with it in order to bestow.

S. So we live on two levels at the same time? 

R. Of course. In our will to receive we go down more and more and more towards greater and greater desires to receive. This is the meaning of he who is greater than his friend, his inclination greater and with the reflected light, with bestowal we are rising accordingly. So the greater the coarseness that we can use in order to bestow similarly the refinement, the purity of the vessel.

S. What is the most efficient fastest way from the state of disputes in the will to receive peace in the vessel, the goal?

R. Concessions, each one towards the society in the most complete form as possible. Complete  concession in all those different ways that I’m capable of doing it I’m annulling myself. But this annulment needs to be active where I participate with them and I want to be together with them in all kinds of actions, all kinds of states; the extent to which they give me opportunities to participate with them to be absorbed by them.

14. S. (41:35) It is not so clear what kind of resistance between us we need to rise above. We are not talking about one of us being from Yemen or the other is Russian. 

R. What are you talking about?

S. Yes we are past that I just don't know what contradictions we have to rise above. 

R. It is not talking about the differences between us, it’s talking about incorporation of each one in the others, incorporation of each one with his group. 

S. Yes, both incorporation in the group and doing what the group says, we do that. But when you say that the coarseness appears that we have to rise above, what is it? In the relationships with the friends, what is the biggest resistance? I didn't understand what it is. The ideology toward the path? What do we need to rise above?

R. Do you know what it means to annul oneself towards the group? 

S. Yes I heard about that. 

R. You heard it. Try to realize it, implement it.

15. S. (43:07) In contrast, the power between them is the thickness, so what is the restriction here?

R. The restriction is the intention not to work for oneself but only for the society, for the group. This is where the restriction fits. It does not cancel anything from the coarseness from the desires, we cannot do anything with that. We are talking only about the use, the use in the desires, the use in our qualities. I’m not going to cancel anything in me, only the use for myself, and I wish to restrict it and replace it later with using it for the group. This is the only thing about which we are talking. We don’t destroy the will to receive in any way, shape, or form.

S. So the restriction happens above the Aviut towards the goal?

R. Yes. 

Excerpt 57 (44:38)

16. R. (45:10) Meaning we need to protect everything in reality and make sure that it does not disappear but only to use it in the form of love and bestowal towards the other. Since from the get-go it is aimed at the self-benefit for each one, seemingly self-benefit. This is the only thing we have to do. But don’t erase, don’t lose any desire along the way. Just change how you use each and every desire from in order to receive for oneself to in order to bestow to the other and then everything will all work out. We cannot do this for sure. If we connect in order to do this together and we ask the Creator then He will give us the strength, the power and will be able to do it. 

17. S. (46:40) What is the difference between restriction and annulment? 

R. It may not be so clear to a person. Restriction is when I restrict the desire, the use of it and annulment it is also an aspect of this. These two concepts can be interchanged and mixed-up in a person.

S. Also the concession along with this? 

R. Concessions, all those things, we use these different forms when we talk about these words. We can give them more precise definitions but the people who use those words, they are not aspiring to be so precise.

18. S. (47:49) Can we understand that dispute is always needed for progress, and it is always there, it’s just a question whether I feel it or not? 

R. Ask again. 

S. Does dispute always exist, it just depends on the person if he identifies it? 

R. If he cannot feel it then it does not exist. We talk only with respect of a person and not that it somehow exists in nature, up in the air somewhere. We talk only relative to the person who attains. What does he attain, how much and how? This is what’s important to us.

S. And if one does not feel disputes or there is a lack of effort in connection and integration in the ten? 

R. Yes, all kinds of reasons but if he has no conflict he has nothing to work with. So the feeling of the dispute is the feeling of spiritual life.

19. S. (48:55) What is changing in my desires before and after the restriction? For instance let's say first I wanted to do harm to the friend and after the work it changes and I want to benefit him,  until I come to a state where I only want to benefit him?

R. Yes, we go from hate towards the others and maybe not even hate. I have no attitude, no relationship to a friend, and then I feel various corporeal relationships to them the way we have  with other people. Then we begin to realize our relationships more purposefully towards attaining the goal, as a good or bad form to this friend relative to the goal. Then I bring greater attention to the goal and the friend is a partner, and I do not care too much about his inner qualities, this kind or that kind. I begin to see in all these qualities that they need to help me out, to help me attain the goal and that’s what he sees in me.

So we are now connected to one another through the importance of the goal, and this is how we advance; the more we know how to use the other, to use the relationship between us in order to attain the goal. How much this obligates us to become closer, more scrutinized with one another. Even when we hate one another, we can’t stand one another, we are happy that it is revealed and we begin to look at our relationships only through the goal and we understand that the opposition, the conflict between us, the dispute when it comes helps us attain the goal. That’s why love covers all transgressions. The more we  advance the more we appreciate and value the goal and all the oppositions between us.

All the contradictions, they stand out even more and we value them because above them we attain the goal. And although corporeally you can say that we hate one another, spiritually we are devoted to one another. Each one thinks about such a friend that without him he cannot reach the attainment of the Creator. So accordingly we begin to appreciate the relationships between us according to the spiritual height that can be very high above the hate, rejection, the mismatch. The more we grow up our qualities stand out meaning each is opposite to the others but in order to attain the goal I have to be in it. The students of Rabbi Shimon wanted to kill one another; this describes a spiritual height they had when it was revealed. This is how it is at the beginning of the lesson at the beginning of connection. They felt and overcame it, rose above it and then they discovered the Creator both according to the coarseness that they had and according to the purity, the refinement they attained after the effort and then they had a big Partzuf where the Creator was revealed and adhesion with Him. They wrote about that in the book of Zohar.

S. This mutual overcoming together in the group, contains the personal work of each friend? 

R. Of course. 

S. Each friend connects to the Creator and determines individually that the Creator is the good who  does good?

R. Right, correct.

S. The action of the Creator is always one and I think that sometimes He is indifferent to me, sometimes He rejects me, sometimes he likes me. So if I don't see him… well OK, actually I don't have a question.

R. You understand, that’s good. 

20. S. (54:00) Maintaining the opposites on one hand and building the connection on top is a new educational method. It’s not enough just to understand it, we have to experiment with it and practice it, develop it. And we don’t do this in the lessons or during the day. So how do you recommend experimenting with this, practice this and build this template?

R. In the lesson I'm going over all the fundamentals, the foundations and I give you the beginning of exercises you have to carry out later. We have no time for it, we simply have, no. This is why you have to repeat those things later throughout all the hours of the day, do it in the evening. Set a special time for yourself, an hour or two in the evening and go over all those things again once or twice a week or however many times you need. In this way you’ll advance. But without the work that you will do on yourselves, between yourselves in the group, you do it together, this is a big problem. We are in the last generation and our work needs to be in the connection between as we are right now. We are on a certain level of connection. You have to form such connections in the tens, maybe between the tens and you have to think about it, how to do it.

21. S. (56:08) We are doing what you recommend between Monday and Thursday every day from eight till nine, we learn together. But the matter of practice we also have to know how to do this correctly. So the question is if we are doing it correctly.

R. I do not know. I have no more power than the lesson that I give you. I have additional duties taping in the studio, a couple of hours of talking and a few other treatments. I am exhausted by the evening especially and I cannot do any form of exercises with you. Besides that you have to do this and not me because otherwise it will look like a lesson and not like the realization. You have to do it.

S. Maybe at the end of the lesson you can give us some question or task, a few words so we can work on it? 

R. If you listen closely to the lesson you’ll see that I’m talking about it. You’ll hear it, how to connect, how to do it, what you have to do, how to annul to one another, how to connect with one another. This is what we are talking about here. You just need to do this between you, without me, in practice.

22. S. (57:55) What happens is that the lesson is repeating the theory, but I don’t hear questions that come from practice, that we tried something new, and we come to the lesson. Rav, we tried this and that yesterday and it did not work out, we had this, we had that, how can we improve and then we work on practicing on improving what didn’t work out.

R. You also have to do this between you, between you. I can’t do it because each group is very different, it’s going through various different states, and this is why I cannot give advice to all the groups simultaneously. What we are doing is learning the excerpts and I explain them as much as I can according to your questions. Ask more and I will explain more. But other than that there is no such thing. I am doing this above and beyond everything that was done with Rabash. He wouldn’t engage with this at all. We would just study TES and longer articles, an hour and a half articles and an hour and a half TES and this was the lesson. This is how it was, you can hear this, it’s in the archive. I recorded these lessons; they are all in the archive. 

23. S. (59:50) From my personal experience it turns out that in our private lesson that we do from 8 to 9 I learned more about practice than the lesson.

R. Right, of course.

S. So I'm looking forward to the 8 p.m. lesson More Than 3 a.m. lesson.

R. I'm happy to hear that.

S. Maybe we can collectively add such a practice. That each ten instead of just doing the zoom meetings also doing a lesson between them. We don't have a place where we are in conflict between us, we’re not doing things in practice. We don’t have the practice of how to build connection. In the last Congress when Rav said you're doing everything the conflict was created between us and we didn't know how to connect between the opinions and what to do. When Rav  came to the Congress I have to say on my part I was a little bit disappointed because I thought it's going to be okay, now we're leading, let's see what we are doing.

R. You want me to manage this connection. I can’t do it and I won't do it. I am not a kindergarten teacher who is taking the kids by the hands and doing circles with them and singing together.

S. Right that's exactly what I'm thinking but at the moment this is what is happening. Our connection depends on what our teacher will say, how our teacher guides, and we don't practice.

R. So grow up and start to see all those things in our lessons and what is written. These arguments, these complaints, turn them at yourself.

S. It's not complaints, I'm just offering to add some platform of practice between us and then from practice we can come with actual questions and not theoretical questions. We have heard the theory and we know it.

R. I don't understand what you want.

S. A platform for practicality on which we can...  

R. So turn to your friends and do it. Don’t take time from the lesson. Turn to them, talk to them. Maybe they will agree to hear you out, I don’t know. Why are you counseling in the lesson and taking time from everyone?

24. S. (01:02:47) What is true concession in spiritual work? True concession in spiritual work?

R. True concession in the spiritual work includes several actions. When I annul myself in order to be incorporated in the other, then after I get to the connection with them I try to awaken myself again to participate, open the other with those qualities that I restricted, and it is all to the extent that we advance together towards the revelation of Creator. We will create between us that form that is similar to the Creator and this mutual concession according to how much I am incorporated in the friends, in this way I can build myself like the Creator. The Creator has no form. Where do we get the form of the Creator, the revelation of the Creator? From annulling myself toward the friends and taking from them their qualities and I want to incorporate in them as one man in one heart. In this way I feel how when I come out of in order to receive and I enter into their qualities in order to bestow, by that I am building the image of the Creator before me and in this way we advance. Each and every one of us is like that and eventually from all these efforts together we build Him. He is what is common between us. This is the meaning you have made me.

25. S. (01:05:03) How to awaken reciprocity in concessions?

R. Only by example, from example.

26. S. (01:05:16) Can concession happen always from one side?

R. Concession also has to be an example and he who restricts himself, who is doing it towards the friends, he's the one that is more advanced.

27. S. (01:05:45) How can I internally nullify myself towards the friends if my ego…

R. As you discover how evil the ego is for not letting me connect with the friends, then you can see that he's truly the evil inclination. Then you can ask together with the friends who are going through the same states. You can ask together from the Creator to help us overcome the evil inclination where we can't cancel ourselves, each one and in this way our prayer is going to be rewarded with the answer to the prayer from above.

28. S. (01:06:43) How can we not blur the disagreement in the ten, pretend that nothing is happening and rise above all the conflicts together?

R. Efforts, efforts ladies, efforts. There is nothing else you can do. If you want to make it, there is only one thing; more and more to knock on the closed gate until it opens up and this gate is in our hearts. We open it up to the friends and then we enter the heart of each and everyone. Together with that I feel the Creator also enters my heart.

29. S. (01:07:45) Is it correct to perceive the will to receive as the raw material that we use to build the Creator's degree?

R. We can detect the evil inclination because it is the Creator in a way that He deliberately plays with us. He’s playing with us, for and against. That is why we begin to relate to the evil inclination in different ways. We feel him as the enemy, he’s against us on the one hand. On the other hand He is help against and ultimately I connect the evil inclination and the good inclination to me and with both of them I come to attain the goal.

30. S. (01:08:53) It says that creation’s path is through two opposites. How then to not practically relate myself to any one of the opposites and unite them to one?

R. This will work itself out. We just need to try and feel the friends in the heart.

31. S. (01:09:23) How do we not invade this inner point that we can’t give up on and can't erase? How to reach that?

R. I am not sure exactly what you're talking about. I don't think we have a problem there. Our work needs to be in being as close as possible to one another, not corporally but in attainment of the spiritual work. Just understand that my connection with the friends and my connection Creator is the same, it’s one and the same. Even more than that the Creator is attained in the connection between us and if we don't reach the connection between us we will not attain the Creator.

32. S. (01:10:28) You said a person cannot erase himself. So what exactly can't we give up, make a concession for, and how does the ten create an environment where it is possible?

R. I don’t give up on one thing, the innermost point in me that wants to reach revelation, adhesion with a Creator. On that, I never give up. All the rest is around it…

So then the question is how do I calibrate myself in order to see the Creator? Then everything before me I have to bring myself into the right calibration and in this work I will see the Creator. Where, through this form that I build, it does not matter if it’s not real because my truth is that it is entirely egoistic. But the more I try to see the group as complete then through this form I can calibrate myself, direct myself to reveal the Creator. This is what was given to me. So the more I accustom myself to seeing the friends as complete by this I bring myself closer to revealing the Creator and the friends too, the group and the Creator, they are all not realistic,  they are all in me. It is how I am changing myself, calibrating myself, arranging myself so I can detect spirituality in this way, I have no other way. Because I will constantly be in a confusion of the will to receive. This is why the group was given, so I will calibrate myself toward good things,  corrected things, even though they are not like that. But it doesn't matter to me. I see in it the game of the Creator with me. The Creator places a person's hand on the good faith and says take this. Here in Arvut, in mutual responsibility you have to obtain the vessel to reveal me.

S. So there is no point to look at a friend if I don't go through him to the Creator, meaning in every state where I look at the friend I have to reach the Creator, the center of the ten?

R. Correct. Correct.

37. R. (01:20:53) The Creator created the friends, brought them and me into one state, the teacher, the group. Therefore we have to whatever the case might be, annul ourselves before the society and accept the friends as being at the level of wholeness. It is impossible that the Creator is greater in my eyes, higher, holier than the friends. Meaning the same instrument through which I discover and see and feel the Creator is the group. 38. S. (01:22:03) When there is some dispute if the resistance goes over some certain limits and it becomes an outburst that you can't control, what is the measure of coarseness you can use for it not to cross the line where you lose control?

R. There is the head of the group who must maintain it and be seemingly neutral. There are other tens next to you. It is impossible that what happens in the group goes out of control, there is no such thing. It must not happen. Because then the group doesn’t exist. If there are disagreements, disputes that’s fine but if you totally can't control the situation that you have and you are in that situation then there is no group. 

S. You said in the beginning of the lesson to ask the Creator to give us measurements of  advancing in connection in mind and feeling. Before we attain spirituality can we measure as much as we're advancing towards connection?

R. Yes you can, in attainment and in the feeling. They are still measurements in the corporeal mind and heart, but it is still possible to see it.

39. S. (01:23:54) About the last questions we heard in order to advance in connection, how much during the day beyond the morning lesson am I supposed to be in a visual contact with my friends, to see them, to feel this reality with them?

R. Visual connection I can’t say. 

S. This is the question because if it isn't visual everything I imagine inside me, the friends, the ten. It's my desire doing it. But when I’m in front of the friend I can't control what he's doing. It’s more of a pure bestowal because it's what the Creator is giving me and not what I’m imagining inside myself. 

R. I don't know what to answer you. Because what does it matter if I see him in front of me visually or I’m hearing him or I'm corresponding, chatting on text with him? I don't think there's a difference here.

S. So maybe not only visually but in a connection that isn't just my imagination. Where I am with myself imagining the ten in a way the other side is really working on me, influencing me directly and not through my imagination. How much of that time do I need with my friends?

R. Nevertheless what you got from the lesson, the main point is you need to talk about it for maybe half an hour a day, when you talk about what you got from the lesson. The main point and to what extent this lesson upgraded us to a new state. How from now on we have to add to our relationships some new discernment. This you need to feel that from now on you are receiving something additional in your relationships.

S. You used to go through most of the hours of the day with Rabash. How much does that help the connection compared to the state we’re in? Let's say we, half an hour a day.

R. No, it was a different approach, a different time, you cannot compare it. If the group was connected the same amount of hours that I was with Rabash it would be the end of correction already. No. When I was next to Rabash they were long hours, but you couldn’t use all of them for spiritual ascension, no. It was very, very different, totally different.

S. Baal HaSulam teaches us that we have to invest most of our time except for necessities in spiritual work, in connection. What does it mean to invest all the work? Beyond the morning lesson what is spiritual work for us, and we can feel that we are really doing it?

R.  That we are in our minds and in our hearts as much as we can connected to spiritual states. To be connected among us and with the Creator. That’s it, everything else depends on our effort.

The purpose of creation is to use all the will to receive completely because precisely by using it we can receive the revelation of the Creator, the Creator will enter us, fill up our will to receive. So the will to receive itself is not bad, the bad is that we use it for ourselves and then we seemingly close within us all the impressions from the general reality beyond the small impression that we have, tiny impression that we feel instead of the real reality. We feel only this world, this is what we have, so in order to bring to us an impression from the real reality, we have to switch to what is called looking at reality above our will to receive, above our ego which limits us. This is all of the wisdom of Kabbalah, the wisdom of how to LeKabel, receive or perceive reality which is not limited by its will to receive.

S. When we use everything in reality with a purpose to bestow to the others that means we're in a different reality?

R. By this we advance to a new perception of reality, yes. The friends, the group is our instruments, auxiliary instruments, the device on which we exercise, we practice in order to come to that new perception. To the extent that we do these exercises, the Creator opens up to us more and more of the higher real reality, which is outside of us except we cannot feel, It’s as if we are in a bubble, in a bubble, and we do not see beyond it. Even the scientists say that there is a limitation, a limit to our perception of reality, the perception of the universe, that there is a limit but there is something that exists far beyond, they have all kinds of science, and we cannot see it, feel it. There is a limit in us, a limitation in us, our perception is limited, so the wisdom of Kabbalah actually helps us rise above it.

42. S. (01:36:35) There are two kinds of approaches when we study: one approach in me says that I have to learn to receive that remedy and from that I advance, and it does not demand of me more than coming to the lesson; and the second is to make the efforts, my behalf, and advance with the friends. So what’s the right way?

R. You choose what's right and you should choose what we are saying. If you think you can be like us, go, by all means, if not, go to the other place.

43. S. (01:37:29) How does the ten work with the evil inclination together?

R. The ten tries to work against the evil inclination by connecting among them and when they discover the evil inclination exists specifically among the friends, this is why they want to unite above their separation and by this they destroy their evil inclination and instead of it put it that good inclination.

44. S. (01:38:10) I see that I can agree with friends and love them under the condition that I can get something from this, so how do I come out of this state?

R. It is natural that you connected to them in this way. Try to rise above it so you're connected with them and even work for them and not for yourself. Try, and if you can’t, then look at how they do it, and if this does not help, pray to the Creator to give it to you. This is the work in the group.

S. What should I ask from the Creator?

R. The power to bestow.

45. S. (01:39:11) If I hear criticism on one friend from another and I want to justify the criticism, should I take an action to unite the group?

R. Yes.

46. S. (01:39:31) When conflicts come to the group they start with no screen. How to put a real spiritual screen so these conflicts help the ten?

R. Rabash writes how we should organize the states in a society; from this he started writing his articles to the students.

47. S. (01:40:01) There is a friend in the ten that before there is a discussion, already know will it reach conflict so how to approach the discussion in the right way?

R. Each one should annul himself if you want to come to the right result, then each one should annul himself. And then we go into the discussion and this discussion is really to the point meaning without personal participation, meaning without the entry of the ego of each one.

If it were your beloved baby you would not see this flaw because love covers all the crimes, so what is missing?
