Reading Article: (00:40) It is said that there are 600,000 souls, and each soul divides into several sparks. We must understand how it is possible for the spiritual to divide, since initially, only one soul was created, the soul of Adam HaRishon.

In my opinion, there is indeed only one soul in the world, as it is written (Genesis 2:7), “and breathed into his nostrils the soul [also “breath” in Hebrew] of life.” That same soul exists in all the children of Israel, complete in each and every one, as in Adam HaRishon, since the spiritual is indivisible and cannot be cut—which is rather a trait of corporeal things.

Rather, saying that there are 600,000 souls and sparks of souls appears as though it is divided by the force of the body of each person. In other words, first, the body divides and completely denies him of the radiance of the soul, and by the force of the Torah and the Mitzva [commandment], the body is cleansed, and to the extent of its cleansing, the common soul shines on him.

For this reason, two discernments were made in the corporeal body: In the first discernment, one feels one’s soul as a unique organ and does not understand that this is the whole of Israel. This is truly a flaw; hence, it causes along with the above-mentioned.

In the second discernment, the true light of the soul of Israel does not shine on him in all its power of illumination, but only partially, by the measure he has purified himself by returning to the collective.

The sign for the body’s complete correction is when one feels that one’s soul exists in the whole of Israel, in each and every one of them, for which he does not feel himself as an individual, for one depends on the other. At that time, he is complete, flawless, and the soul truly shines on him in its fullest power, as it appeared in Adam HaRishon, as in “He who breathed, breathed from within Him.”

This is the meaning of the three times of a person:

A spark of a soul, the act by way of sparkling, as in prohibiting and permitting.
A particular soul, one part out of 600,000. It is permanently completed, but its flaw is with it. This means that his body cannot receive the whole of the soul, and feels himself as being distinct, which causes him a lot of pains of love.

Subsequently, he approaches wholeness, the common soul, since the body has been cleansed and is entirely dedicated to the Creator and does not pose any measures or screens and is completely included in the whole of Israel. … …

We learned that “If even one man came before his Master in complete repentance, the Messiah King would come at once.” It seems to mean, as they said (Song of Songs 1), “Moses is equal to 600,000.” We need to understand this, since this would mean that there are twice 600,000 souls—the soul of Moses and the souls of Israel.

But the truth is that there is no more than one soul, as it is known by the measure of each and every soul that purifies and cleanses itself from its filth. Hence, when all the souls are corrected, they will draw onto them the entire upper soul of Atzilut to each and every soul, since the spiritual is indivisible. At that time, “And the Lord will be King over all the earth” (Zechariah, 14:9). Hence, while even a single soul is denied of complete purity, the extension of this Kedusha [Holiness] will be deficient in every soul from Israel.

And when a single soul from Israel is purified from all its filth, it will draw onto itself the whole of the soul of Atzilut, and through it, all the souls of its generation will be corrected. This is the meaning of one being dependent on the other, as it is written (Sanhedrin 11), “It was befitting for the Shechina [Divinity] to be upon him, but his generation was unworthy of it.”

The content of the words is unanimously bewildering, that the same soul that was rewarded with purification immediately strives to increase the grace of the generation and asks for them until it elevates its entire generation to its merit.

This is the meaning of “Moses is equal to 600,000.” Because he was their faithful shepherd, he had the same Kedusha that the whole generation merited.

Indeed, the whole is found within each item, since in the end, all the souls will unite into one discernment, returning to their spiritual root. Hence, all the miracles and wonders and all the journeys that the whole world has experienced during the 6,000 years should be experienced by each individual soul. The good soul draws to it from all the discernments of Kedusha before it and after it, and the bad soul does the opposite.

And the changing times are considered generations. However, each generation behaves according to its judge, by the mind that judges it, since it receives from the Kedusha of that time.

For this reason, each soul is willing to draw the souls of Moses, Aaron, Samuel, David, and Solomon within it, as times that it experiences. During the exodus from Egypt and the reception of the Torah, the soul of Moses appears on him; in the seven that they conquered, the soul of Joshua; and in the building of the Temple, the soul of King Solomon, etc.

This does not refer to the above-mentioned souls in particular, but according to the rule that we said that the spiritual is indivisible, as soon as one is rewarded with a soul, he is rewarded with the soul of the whole of Israel, but according to one’s merit and place. Hence, at a time when one is rewarded with these wonders, one receives into himself the abundance of the soul in that disclosure. For this reason, the name of the owner of that disclosure is truly upon him.

They said (Shabbat 67; Baba Metzia 113), “All of Israel are sons of kings.” Also, “A king who dies, all of Israel are worthy of kingship” (Jerusalem Talmud, Masechet Horaiot 3, 5). This is a great secret, for in all the previous generations, which were but a preparation for Malchut, special Kelim [vessels] were required for anointment of their judges, such as the souls of Moses and Samuel. But the final purpose depends on the whole of Israel, since when a tiny part of a tiny spark is missing, the end will not be able to appear. Hence, all of Israel are worthy of kingship, since everyone is equal in this true discernment.

For this reason, there is no special Kli [vessel] for drawing that wholeness, but anyone who cleanses and purifies his soul to be worthy of extending the revelation of Malchut in the world will truly be called King David. This is the meaning of “David, King of Israel, is indeed alive” (Rosh Hashanah 25), for he has not died at all. His Kli is within each and every soul from Israel. This is not so with the soul of Moses, which is found in only the wise disciples in the generation, as well as in prophets and priests.

This is the meaning of “A king who dies, all of Israel are worthy of kingship” (Jerusalem Talmud; Masechet Horaiot 3, 5). This is also the meaning of exempting the public.

This is the meaning of “Near the Messiah, insolence will soar” (Sutah 49), and “They will be insolent toward each other, the child will behave insolently against the elder, and the base against the honorable” (Isaiah 3:5). This means that even an ignoble child will dare to extend His kingship to the world as though he were one of the elders and honorable in the generation.

This is so because should the ignoble, who has a lowly and base soul at its root, aim his heart and purify his deeds to be worthy, he will be rewarded with extending the whole of the soul of a holy nation in his soul with all the wonders that the holy nation has tasted thus far. This is because they were all but preparations for this wholeness.

Hence, even that particular soul must taste everything, and he will buy his world in one hour due to the ability of that generation to extend the crown of His kingship, which contains everything: “And all need the owner of the needles, and every element in it is required” (Berachot 64; Baba Batra 145).

This is the meaning of their words: “Even if one man came before his Master in complete repentance, the Messiah King would come at once.” This means that whoever it was, even if only one man in the generation were rewarded with extending that soul by himself, he will be able to reward his whole generation, since all who are committed to the matter exempt the public and can do much praying and continue until he is rewarded for the sake of his entire generation.

This is not so with other kinds of redemptions, which were but preparations and did not belong to each and every one. For example, the giving of the Torah belonged specifically to the generation of the desert and to Moses. Any other generation, even if they were more worthy, would not extend that discernment, and neither would any other person besides Moses, for they are interdependent.

However, the Messiah is ready for each and every generation. Because of this, He is also ready for each and every person to extend the discernment of the Messiah, as in “All who are committed to the matter,” as mentioned above.

The reason is that anointments concern the correction of the Kelim and the portrayal of all the Kelim as equal, since any division among them is only in their HBD, according to their measures. Hence, from the minister who sees the King’s face to the one who sits behind the grindstone, all are equal servants in restoring the old glory, and in this there are no degrees between one another.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (18:46) In this article, he speaks of the true reality where we are spark, each one of us is a spark and if he corrects himself, he can feel the general soul. And in parallel to that, we also live in a virtual or simulated reality that appears to be life, but it's disconnected from what's written here. I wanted to ask, why specifically the efforts for connection in the Ten can help us reveal the true reality?

M. Laitman: We have no other way to reach the true reality except through our efforts to connect in the Ten. And from that connection, as much as we get closer to it and get into it, we discover the true spiritual reality.

Student: But what differentiates the action that I do, let's say, among these ten people with whom I'm trying to connect, and, you know, our day-to-day, there are all kinds of states, I'm trying to walk, to be connected as much as possible to the Creator and see what's correct and what's not. What differentiates this action, specifically, of trying to connect in spite of the resistance in the Ten? What makes it different than other things?

M. Laitman: There's no other place to realize spirituality. There's no other space where you can realize spirituality except inside the Ten.

Student: And why, for me, at least, why is it not felt even a millimeter of that?

M. Laitman: It's not felt. You're not the only one, but it's not felt, right?

Student: If we said that the Ten is the place to connect, how can the action of the congress, how could that help us achieve that same connection?

M. Laitman: The connection is not special in the congress or outside of the congress. The connection is connection, the extent to which we can realize it between us. We discover in it the spiritual laws, the spiritual bestowal coming from the Creator and so forth.

Student: So, if it's the same connection, what makes the congress stand out compared to our day-to-day in the Ten?

M. Laitman: The congress is special in that we come from all kinds of directions, different people, and we want to connect together. And that is very similar to what people in the final correction will, how they will wish to connect. So there is a preparation for it in nature. There are forces that assist it, that facilitate connection, and we hope to reach a state that out of our demand, which we are now studying how to achieve, we'll get to a state that our requests, our prayer is, so to say, it will force the Creator to shine on us and help us.

Student: So, in the morning lesson, we're here for three hours. There are many friends who come, and he said in the end that what the decisive factor is the effort to connect in the Ten. So, the difference is that in the congress, we decide together about these two days where the concentration and the efforts of connection are going to be stronger because we're going to prepare ourselves, and the effect of it is going to be strong.

Student: Baal HaSulam writes to us that man can acquire his world in one hour. What can a person acquire in such a congress?

M. Laitman: What he wants and what he prepared himself for.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (24:35) According to the article, it turns out that one soul, one individual attains the entirety of the soul.

M. Laitman: Every one, yes.

Student: And when is this individual annulled?

M. Laitman: Cancelled?

Student: Yes, because it turns out that each one attains the soul, but when can each and every one connect into one thing?

M. Laitman: That I don't know, that's, let's say it's in the final Correction. That's why it's called the end of Correction. Congress is not the end of Correction.

Student: In the end of Correction, there's no individual feeling, only a feeling of the collective?

M. Laitman: I don't know, I could say this or that, but it's not written anywhere.

Student: Okay, for the time being, there's an individual and then there's a collective. Where's the Ten?

M. Laitman: The Ten is a part of the whole. Not the whole in the sense of mankind but rather a part that we can already attain.

Student: And what is the role of the Ten here in moving from the feeling of the individual to the feeling of the collective?

M. Laitman: To connect among them, among the Ten, and bring their connection to everyone.

Student: Another question, he writes, the good soul draws into it from all the discernments of holiness before and after it. How to be that good soul? How to draw from all directions, from everything?

M. Laitman: Aspire to connection. As you understand, there's nothing besides connection here. That I wish to be as a good soul, part of the general soul of Adam HaRishon. I want to bring connection between us and also attract others to connection. And this is the time where we have to do it. That's it. As simple as possible. Make less mistakes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (27:13) If I understand correctly, Baal HaSulam writes, and it was written before him, this line about insolence will rise. That is a sign that we are approaching the end. That a child will behave insolently against the elder as if he is the elder. It means that this general soul in its opposite form is pushing from within, and we see it on the outside. Now, how will it happen? How can such a thing happen where the upper force will turn this lopsided state into a complete state, a whole state? How can this revolution take place and everything connects?

M. Laitman: That, I think, is through the work of groups like ours. That we can cause that. Both actually cause it in action, and also through prayer. And in attracting more groups and people to that. And thus, we all come together. And also, more laws that have to do, more circles that have to do with the connection will surface, which we still don't feel.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (29:01) What does it mean to learn the demand to obligate the Creator to shine on us?

M. Laitman: That regardless of what state we think we are, we can turn to the Creator from any state we have and ask Him and demand Him for corrections.

Student: You said that the congress is a miniature or micro-correction, and we know that preparation is a significant thing in everything in our path.

M. Laitman: Correct.

Student: It's really felt like we've had a really special preparation for the congress, a new state that we truly wish to receive. We feel that we truly want it. How in demanding this new state, how do we bring about the general correction to all of us, to this new state, to obligate the Creator to bring us this state?

M. Laitman: That is from the deficiency, the prayer that our whole life until the congress becomes a prayer. That's it. And then the upper light will connect us, bring us closer, and that's how we will be rewarded with being one man in one heart.

Student: So, following this prayer, and we obligate the Creator to give us this new state, how can the prayer of each Ten cause the general prayer of the entire Kli?

M. Laitman: Every Ten essentially brings us the same picture as all of us, or even the entire world, all of reality. In the Ten you have desires to receive that they wish to overcome, and that's why they're closer to the Creator, similar to the Creator, and that's how they correct themselves. And so inside of them, all the other parts of reality can become incorporated.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (32:05) When I detect evil inside of me, or in the friend, or even in the Ten, and I ask the Creator for a connection above what's being revealed, what am I correcting in these actions?

M. Laitman: By that, within your scale, your small scale, you're making the same picture of correction that exists in the entire spiritual Kli.

Student: I correct my individual vessel, or the vessel of the soul?

M. Laitman: It's your personal vessel, but in that, you already know and aim for the whole general vessel to come closer to correction.

Student: A bit more than that, I can correct for the friend what's revealed in him, I can correct the evil that's revealed in the general public. That's possible in our generation, right?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes.

Student: So, it requires additional thoughts. I need to invest the thought that it corrects everything.

M. Laitman: Yes, you get contact with them. When did it ever happen before in history where such a connection appears between continents, and people, and countries, and anyone can go from one end of the world to the other, to a congress or something, and the internet connection.

Student: So, it's not for nothing that I'm exposed to the general evil, it's not for nothing that I'm shown this evil?

M. Laitman: No, no, no, we're working towards the general goal.

Student: Another question, what does that mean that his soul is… He writes that one soul corrects the entire generation. On the other hand, if one soul is missing, then the sanctity will also miss each and every soul. How does that work out?

Is there a way to reach the congress with faith above reason, to prepare yourself so that you come to the congress in faith above reason on this topic?

M. Laitman: It's not just this topic, but in general.

Student: So, what's the most important thing in the connection that is related to that?

M. Laitman: The connection has to be above all our vessels, preferably. Even to the smallest extent, but it needs to be in all our vessels, causing them to connect. And also, to already present to people the spiritual vessel of a single soul. That's it.

Student: Something that I have to feel is a general force that works towards connection as well?

M. Laitman: Yes, there's all kinds of circles that seemingly work towards connection.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (38:07) I heard you say that until the congress, we need our lives until the congress to be like a prayer. What is it that life becomes a prayer?

M. Laitman: That in every moment of our life, we want to pull ourselves towards connection, to a congress, which means a gathering, a general connection that will include within it all of the people who studied and are studying with us and wish to be together.

Student: How do we build life so that all the moments will be like a prayer, will be a prayer?

M. Laitman: How do you build life so that all moments will be a prayer? First of all, then life has to take place in a big group, who knows why they live, and for what purpose, and how they can reach that purpose. So, there will always be people in the group who think about the connection, the manner of connection, and that's how they climb through the degrees.

Student: I simply drew this picture that until the congress we need to take our lives and build it as a prayer until that point. How can we seemingly spread out all the moments?

M. Laitman: You have, say, several days, and in those days you wish to see yourself and your friends ready for connection. So, what is it that you are still missing to be ready for connection?

Student: This addition of what motivates us is the prayer. How to make that the power that motivates us, that specifically from the prayer we wish to come to that gathering?

M. Laitman: There is nothing more for us to do. Meaning that we cannot do anything besides prayer, besides requests.

Student: So, how does such a person look like, that he is led in this way? A Kabbalist who is managed in this way, aims himself in the congress so every moment will be like a prayer?

M. Laitman: He is looking for the next spiritual degree where he feels himself as able to stand on that degree and pray to the Creator for everyone, and especially for his group, especially for his Ten. And this is how he keeps raising it all the time to the Creator.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (42:03) He speaks here of the soul of Moses and the soul of David, the Messiah. It sounds as if David is closer to our generation, that Moses is related to the bringing down of Hochma, and David is connected to every soul. And in the end it says they all serve an equal role to bring glory to its whole status. In the equality we need to attain between us, is the soul of David closer to us?

M. Laitman: Yes, look, we have to long for connection and do all of our actions inside the connection. And then it will be basically waging war with many forces that still hinder us. And after that, we'll have to wage war with our inner forces, those that are more on the inside. And that's how we'll advance.

Student: Is it a force that we can use in the congress, that even the person who feels far?

M. Laitman: If we aim for connection first, then it'll be a force that we put out in practice.

Student: So, the prayer unites them, it doesn't matter where he is?

M. Laitman: Everything starts and ends with prayer.

M. Laitman: The good soul is that it gives us an example of connection. And the bad soul is one who causes separation and hatred among all the individual souls.

Student: Are all the souls in our society good souls?

M. Laitman: I don't think so. I don't think there is any good soul. Not even one. That we all wish to reach that degree.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (46:45) In the beginning, the body puts a barrier between itself and the soul. But according to the power of the commandment, the body is purified and the soul, general soul, shines on him. What should the body correct? What should the desire correct, the body or the soul?

M. Laitman: A person needs to correct his connection with the others in the Ten, that's it. When he achieves that connection, that correction, then he'll have an additional space before him because each and every desire in the Ten will now take on another higher dimension. And then he'll have to do it there as well.

Student: Is the body the desire and the soul the intention?

M. Laitman: Man's body is not a desire; the spiritual body of man is a desire. And its fulfillment, that is the soul.

Question (Hifa 1): (48:09) It says if the body is corrected wholly, when it fills the soul, in the entire soul of Israel. What are the nations of the world in that?

M. Laitman: They're also included in that.

Student: It's written about the three times in men: One, the spark of a soul, the act by way of sparkling as in prohibiting and permitting. What is the aspect, the quality of the spark of a soul?

M. Laitman: Well that it has sparks. We studied it in the past.

Question (New York 3/Belarus): (49:02) It's written on the second item, a particular soul, one part of 600,000. It is permanently completed but its flaw is with it. This means that his body cannot receive the whole of the soul. And he feels himself as being distinct, which causes him a lot of pains of love. What are the pains of love in the spiritual work and why are they not pains of sorrow?

M. Laitman: That's how it's called, that I wish to reach love and I still can't. So, what I'm going through, I call that suffering of love.

Question (Latin 1): (49:50) Are 600,000 souls the total corrections we make to reach the final correction?

M. Laitman: Correct.

Student: It's written in the article about the soul and then about the Nefesh, what is the difference between Nefesh and Neshama and the work in the Ten?

M. Laitman: No difference, no. You could say big or small, meaning in these days, we have to try to be in studying, into studying ourselves. How can we connect in our desires, in our intentions? See the good state that we wish to be built and it will all be connected together to a single system. And that system is where all of the souls will be incorporated. And all of us together along with that system, we all want to move towards the state of connection. Which is what we'll have in the Congress, a connection between each of us to all of us together. And then also to keep going, continue, it's only the first state that we'll get to.

Question (Kyiv 1): (52:01) You said that we should correct our attitude towards friends in the Ten. Later each Ten in the Ten will tie us to a higher degree. How do I work with the desires of the friends in the Ten so that each one of them will tie me, bind me, to a higher degree?

M. Laitman: I am in a Ten and upon me there is an obligation to connect to them, so much so, that in my system with the Ten I bring light of NRNHY. And for that reason, for that purpose, I exist in the Ten and that's why the Ten exists. That's what we need, that's it.

Student: What does it mean that I'm drawing the light of NRNHY to the Ten?

M. Laitman: When I'm included in the Ten, the Ten becomes Ten Sefirot. From desires they become Sefirot and in those ten Sefirot I can begin to work with my desires, with my screens, draw light without resisting the reception of the light, directly. And thus, receive it in order to bestow through rejection and it is through rejection that I achieve connection.

Student: Inside the feeling of the friends, the way we feel them today in the work in our Ten, the connection between us in our meetings. What is added so that we will truly feel the Ten as ten Sefirot with the feeling of NRNHY?

M. Laitman: If I wish to feel the light of NRNHY in the Ten, then I have to reach such a degree that I am able to invest myself in a way that the light will receive light by me in a way that afterwards I receive the light of NRNHY. This is a very big job to do.

Student: Is there a certain awakening in the Ten that I need to give it? How can I give such an awakening to the Ten?

M. Laitman: We have to become incorporated in the Ten, try to each help the others in a way that we begin to feel at what degree we cause connection in the Ten. The degree of Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, Yechida, that's what we have to do.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (55:59) What do I need to invest in the Ten for it to receive this light?

M. Laitman: You have to cause connection for them, you have to awaken them towards connection. And also, to bring about connection by itself.

Student: Is this something I do along with the Ten, how to connect the Creator to it?

M. Laitman: Yes, that through yourself, you connect the Creator to the Ten.

Student: And how is that connection expressed, this investment? Can I measure how successful am I in moving them toward it?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: In what, they tell me, they show me, I see it, how, where?

M. Laitman: To the extent that you discover through them your coarseness that, essentially, is your vessel.

Student: What does my coarseness have to do with it if I need to bring connection to the Ten. How is my coarseness related to that?

M. Laitman: What do you use to bring that about? You bring connection in the Ten, so if you cause connection to the Ten by turning to the Creator. As you turn to the Creator you raise your desires in order to bestow corrected ones or how much you want them to be corrected. And then the Creator, through these desires, passes on to the Ten the same light that reforms, and then this Ten becomes connected to the Creator. And that happens by incorporation with your desires.

Student: I have to imagine to myself the maximum connection I can create?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And I raise that to the Creator so He will do it? What can I draw, attract, how can I get help from the Ten in order to depict the more advanced state of connection?

M. Laitman: So, you advance more than what you did, for now, you've completed the action.

Student: Is it important to do it several times or to reach a certain degree? And then assemble a certain degree of connection?

M. Laitman: The more, the better, the many times, the better. Meaning, it's like impulses, like impulses, more and more and more. Every time you receive what we could call greater light but actually, it's not, not greater light, it's a higher frequency. What's the difference between the light of Nefesh, Ruach, or Neshama? It's basically how many times it went in and out of the Kli, that's the difference. But otherwise, every impulse in itself is just an enter, entrance and exit. There's nothing there's nothing about it that has like more, more kilograms or less voltage.

M. Laitman: Because everything is attained through prayer.

Student: What is the power of forgiveness, of asking for forgiveness, of atonement? What is the power of it?

M. Laitman: If the heart, truly, asks for forgiveness, that means that a person still feels the evil within him. And he wishes to cancel it, and he receives lights, forces, so the evil won't rule him.

M. Laitman: It's that I begin the action and that I leave the action.

M. Laitman: No, The Good Who Does Good is that we receive from the Creator results for our actions. So, that, perhaps we could also already feel and discover; that depends on us and it depends on the Creator also. How we cause that to each other.

Student: This concept of The Good Who Does Good, is that the degree of connection between us and the Ten at that upper friend called love and bestowal?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And where do you feel it, in which vessel? This Good Who Does Good?

M. Laitman: Other than the will to receive, we've got nothing else.

Student: Because what you explained to the friend sounds like a struggle, serious struggle, constantly. The will to receive requests, will to receive demands, where is this thing close, the upper light, the true goodness?

M. Laitman: The person who starts the spiritual process is always under pressure, because he has to work against his desire with the connection—connection with the friends and connection with the Creator. And then he attains the connection with the friends and with the Creator. Different levels of connection but that's the work in the degrees. What we need to do in practice and perform it.

Student: This action you described now is the action of The Good Who Does Good?

M. Laitman: Yes, it only depends on how seriously you take it, but I hope that we will already be serious about it. What's going on there in the Congress lessons?

Student: We have three lessons.

M. Laitman: No, let's say the lesson, when does it start?

Student: I'll give you the schedule.

Student: This inner action needs to be expressed externally, as well? Certain words, preparation or just an emotional thing?

M. Laitman: It's possible that, I don't think so. In the Sidur, the prayer book, there are sometimes such quotes but there isn't much material about that. This is the emotional connection between us. So, let's try, we could sing, maybe, let someone speak.

Student: We're planning to also do preparations for lessons, opening the hearts, songs. I mean, there are all these means.

M. Laitman: Yes, but here it's essentially practical work, that each one wants to discover inside himself these states, these degrees, these desires, actions. And make a connection between them.

Student: What would make this action true, in practice, for us to feel an emotional connection between us?

M. Laitman: As much as we want to connect in our desires, in our intentions, and actually, in our hearts.

M. Laitman: An ascent is when I feel myself even more connected to the friends in the Ten. To such an extent that the closeness between us brings a feeling of participation to such an extent, which is called, revelation of the Creator.

Student: What does the preparation for the lesson, or such a preparation, for an event look like?

M. Laitman: I don't know, I don't think we need a preparation for the lesson, here. It can ruin the lesson.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, when we come to the lesson, each comes from his personal state, some external state, maybe. How do we come to the lesson ready for the lesson, ready for connection, ready internally in the correct way so that we don't corrupt things?

M. Laitman: I don't know, I don't know what to tell you.

Student: Do we need to do some kind of personal preparation?

M. Laitman: Personal preparation?

Student: What is the personal preparation we need to do? Before I come to the lesson, I sit down with my friends in the Ten. What do I need to think about, how do I need to aim my heart?

M. Laitman: To aim the heart by opening your heart you start feeling all the details inside of there, more or less. You want to connect those details with all the details of every heart of every friend in the Ten; you don't need anything more than the Ten.

Student: What are those details in the heart?

M. Laitman: Desires, thoughts, intentions, that’s it. And then when you connect, it actually doesn't matter what comes out of you. It's important that, by that, you have revealed that effort that you want to go into the heart of your friend and to live in there. To incorporate in there, and he in you and this way in the Ten, everyone in everyone.

Student: To incorporate and live in this connection, right?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, the preparation for the lesson should be for each that he's readying himself to open his heart towards the friends in the Ten. And this is what will happen in the lesson, yes? Is that the preparation for the lesson?

M. Laitman: It could be that you won't succeed to such an extent by speaking. We're not thinking about that. That we need to actually talk about it out in the open but it has to be inside.

Student: And that's the intention, that I come to the lesson with?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: We used to, once, again, I don't want to compare, but that place of sitting and being quiet and holding on to that strain that enables entering prayer more and more in that place—that internal place between us. If it's possible to use more of that tool, also in the lesson, because again, I don't know how but the questions that we're reading again, and then questions and questions and questions. We're not managing within that to actually come to that point of common concentration of everyone in this inner effort for connection. When you described some state, we have to be in the lesson; it was felt, that's precisely the place, we're all yearning to reach.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:23:54) We read in the article that every generation, there's a leader that kind of purifies his generation in some way in certain degrees. Can you purify us?

M. Laitman: No, we have the Rabash.

Student: Yes, meaning, Rabash is our greatest of the generation that is going to purify us at the moment?

M. Laitman: Yes. I only count on him.

Student: How will this happen in the Convention and these critical points in the lesson?

M. Laitman: We want it to happen in us, and we're asking for all the help from above upon that.

Can he somehow, is there someone kind of like this trailblazer, some Nachshon in the Ten that will do that for the whole Ten?

Student: There will be all of a sudden some state like someone in the Ten will be our Nachshon? He'll be like the first one in the Ten, let's say, or is that not how it's working?

M. Laitman: Well, let's say so.

Student: And then he can kind of do so, and correct his Ten and pull them forward?

M. Laitman: Yes. Don't worry, that's something the Creator will take care of.

How do we help you as we sit down to be in a state of absorption, that all you want to give, or to be in a state of request? Because I feel, that it's not the same thing, you want us to have a desire for the Creator to help us? Or to simply absorb all that you're about to give us?

M. Laitman: No, just the desire that each of you want to connect to the others and with the Creator, that's it. So, I'm in the Ten, I'm incorporated in the Ten and I want in the Ten to also draw the Creator in there, to invite Him, that's it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:27:36) You advised us to take about two days before the Convention, kind of a break to clean ourselves. How during those two days do we need to prepare ourselves each personally for the Connection during those two days?

M. Laitman: Only think of the connection, nothing but that, and you'll see. And don't let go of it until the convention starts. And then you already go in there and you start working with everybody together with the materials that are in the Convention.

Student: And during those two days in the Ten, what do we need to scrutinize more? How can we focus in the right direction more during those two days?

M. Laitman: Also, connection.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:28:54) We heard that there are two actions in a lesson: An act of connection and an act of ascent.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Is the action of connection the work that the Ten does in the Ten, as a Ten? Each brings his personal efforts, and the Ten is incorporated?

Student: And the act of assent is what the Ten maybe brings to the general Ten or to the general group or to the world Kli?

M. Laitman: Yes, that each one, what does he want it for? So, the result of the connection between them, causes that general ascent.

Student: Just like each Ten receives a little piece that's corrupted that they work on in their place and their connection between us? And then, let's say, they did a certain work with that piece of desire to receive that or whatever it is?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, that's how it is.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:31:17) How do we differentiate between the lesson that we do every day and a lesson in a Convention?

M. Laitman: The same days, we’re not learning regular lessons.

Student: Exactly, so what's different, how's it different, as they say? We come and then we ask you questions, questions answers, questions answers?

Those days we can ask and we can discuss and speak and talk about one topic, which is the topic of the Congress: How we are revealing or discovering our Ten. M. Laitman: There are differences but you actually want to connect with all those details that are in the hearts of every friend.

Student: That are in my attitude towards each and every one?

M. Laitman: In the heart of the friend.

Student: How to identify what he has in his heart?

M. Laitman: What's revealed towards you, that's enough?

Student: Okay, and all these details, we collect?

M. Laitman: Yes, we collect them and that's what we work with.

M. Laitman: The work with all those details is that I want to incorporate in them.

M. Laitman: I don't know, I don't know, I think that after we discuss and discover our work towards those details, the individuals. From that it will be more clear how we can see the group in general, the group of B’nai Baruch.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:38:56) I wanted to ask about our common effort. You talked about, there needing to be a pace and frequency of entries and exits. To what extent do we need to be synchronized in this common effort? Or, you once gave an example that's like in a dance, one goes down, one goes up and each in a little pace and that's okay. Or do we have to exert in trying to all be synchronized?

M. Laitman: I don't think we can give it special, put it in order or demands or discernments, towards each and every one. Because everyone's going to start asking themselves if he's doing enough or not enough according to a certain pace. I think these things are, through working on the materials, it'll synchronize between us.

Student: To adhere to what we're learning, w adhere to the lesson?

M. Laitman: Yes, for now, the lesson somehow flows and that will connect between us.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:40:48) In the entries and exits, is there a certain order of actions that I discover and the desired intention for myself? And then I need to change the intention to bestow, and to do it by prayer and work above reason and request?

M. Laitman: Yes, it's something we already did in the past, so I didn't go into those explanations.

Student: And then each time, anew, I discover again and again?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Reader: (01:41:27) The work I do before every friend in the Ten, I incorporate with his desire, raise it as a request to the Creator to fill it. How does this become work before the Ten, itself?

M. Laitman: You don't really divide the friends into Ten friends or nine friends. But in general, you have such a connection with them in such a way. M. Laitman: I don't know, I think that the fact that we're discovering that waste, our waste, it should make us happy. Because, all in all, that is the matter, that through the work, we discovered it, and who knows what else we'll discover in higher degrees. I see this stage as if it's being revealed to a janitor. A person who is just cleaning up his apartment, let's say. And then he's happy that the more garbage he finds in some corners or different forms. Student: That I understand but simply in this work, a lot of lowliness and weakness is disclosed to us. And we kind of need these forces in order to be joyous, nevertheless, in this work in this effort.

M. Laitman: That a person can check himself: Is he already in a state that those revelations of the waste, do they bring him happiness or do they still bring him sorrow?

Student: I feel like for the time being because it's just in the beginning, there’s a lot of sorrow pushes outwards but we want to do much more. And it's kind of like this force that's pushing you outwards is very big. And as we come closer, the question is how to work, correctly? What's the right balance we should have in our degree with this work? Let's say during the Convention, when it should be a state where everyone's happy. If each is concentrated in this breakage between us, it'll be very difficult.

M. Laitman: We need to scrutinize that waste and to the extent that we can cleanse ourselves from it, not more, that's it. The rest, leave it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:48:18) About the lessons in the Convention, it seems like you see some new format, or the format there was. But more workshops, more work between us, what do you see? A classical depiction of a regular lesson, we read the source and you explain, we ask? Or some other form externally, I mean?

M. Laitman: I don't want the Convention to be a regular series of lessons. I don't know, it seems to me, we have to lead the Convention in a way that will feel that we're creating a new relation, here. Also, towards the form of studies and also towards the study materials.

Student: I'm asking about the form of the study, how do you see the form of the study in the Convention in the times that we're with you?

M. Laitman: I think that we need to discuss what we have in the materials and maybe also not only according to the materials but also according to questions. I think that through this time, until the week we have until the Congress, you'll also supposedly put questions together. And we'll discuss them, it has to be very relevant.

Student: What are those questions? Questions that we're composing on what topic?

M. Laitman: In us coming closer to the goal.

Student: We want to discuss these questions before the convention, during the convention?

M. Laitman: Also, before but especially during.

M. Laitman: A good lesson is a lesson that opened for us a feeling, an understanding, to another step ahead.

M. Laitman: Still, in the Convention we almost don't study from the books, we learn ourselves. That's what's important.

Student: How do you see such a lesson? What is it based upon, meaning, how will the convention lesson happen?

M. Laitman: I don't understand.

Student: We always say that the lesson is a certain measure that we attain, that's how we define a lesson. So, my question is how to manage to achieve the lesson at the Convention?

M. Laitman: At each and every lesson, you'll feel how you've advanced towards a goal. And you start feeling what our efforts are and what the light that reforms is doing upon us. What we're creating or establishing or drawing; and that's light and how we can reach it in advance with it.

Student: How does a Ten need to enter the lesson in the Convention? How does it come out, meaning, how does it work correctly in the lessons of the Convention? What does she enter with and what does the Ten come out with?

M. Laitman: It's clear to the Ten, to every Ten, what state they're in more or less. They still have to write it down, we just can't measure ourselves, correctly. Student: Clear, upon the changing states.

M. Laitman: I think this happens to us as we depict ourselves in the connection between us, whereas, there's between us, for each of us, we have an ironclad connection. Strong connection to the group, and maybe not as strong, but to the Ten or vice versa. This, we'll need to talk about this later, and the main thing for a person is what spiritual forces he can receive from the Ten which he really appreciates. And therefore, is not willing to let go of this Ten, in any way; that for him is his lifesaver, that's it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:58:17) In Israel and overseas, there'll be a lot of friends that come from different Tens and they're incorporated in the local Convention that they're in.

M. Laitman: Or that they're connected to us through the internet.

Student: Or through the internet, right. Those who come from partial Tens to mirror Congresses—you said they have to incorporate with the friends that are there, physically.

M. Laitman: This is under the condition that, well usually I don't know how it is now, But what it used to usually be is that in the Moscow group and other places, I identify that there's a strong connection between them in the Tens. And then I wouldn't recommend to them to disconnect and incorporate in something else.

Student: Yes, but if a friend, let's say there's a virtual Ten and a friend or two went to physical Congress. So, you recommended that those in the physical Congress will connect with the people that are there, locally.

M. Laitman: Yes?

Student: I'm assuming that the Congress is going to be very internal, so I'm assuming, tell me if it's right or not. That, in the works in the physical Convention, the friends we're incorporating with are going to be like a constant Ten that are only for the Convention, but they should incorporate in them. Those friends that are coming from different Tens and are incorporating just for the need of the Congress. They're accumulating a lot of discernment for this Congress. What are they bringing to their permanent Ten, when they come back to it after the Convention?

M. Laitman: An impression. They got the bestowal from the group that they incorporated in. So, they received certain viruses from there.

Student: What is the work of the permanent Ten after the Convention to get those impressions?

M. Laitman: They need to sit between them to talk and scrutinize what's happening, there. What's happening there and see if this will bring them great changes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (02:01:32) Do you think there's a place to have a lesson this Saturday as an example? How we want a lesson to take place in the convention?

M. Laitman: No, I don't think so. If you want, we can do, I don't know. Why does it need to be on Saturday, because there's more people? You need to, also, be a little more thinking than just receiving what is brought down to you from above.
