1.Rav’s Introduction: Yes, we continue to scrutinize what it's called Exile from spirituality that by us is called the Exile of Egypt. We are under the control of our will to receive, that it holds us and doesn’t let us run away, to get far, even to feel what it’s called to not be under its control. Rather everything is within the will to receive, for the meantime, for us and that for us is called Egypt. That's how Kabbalists tell us about. What we need to learn from what Kabbalists tell us to depict, from it how we truly look correctly at our state like they want, that we will reveal our state and how we will be impressed of it, by how much are we under the control of the will to receive which is Pharaoh. Why did the Creator do it such that we’ll be under the control of the will to receive and how can we escape from Egypt, to exit it, what do we need for this? A great desire, a great force, an opportunity, a great quantity of people, what is it called the exodus of Egypt for us, how could it occur? That's what we need to understand, but along with this, Kabbalists already add to this how we do this, that we need to be in tens and in this we need to determine our state, that to reach such connections that we call them Egypt that we want to connect but we are incapable or we don't want so much that we feel ourselves dependant on our will to receive, on Pharoh that doesn’t let us connect, but we want at least a little bit in something, to that extent we begin to recognize Pharoh and begin to recognize our state what is called, “that you were a slave in Egypt.” What is it called to be slaves, what is the relation between us as slaves in the will to receive, that he controls us, that we feel ourselves each and every one himself feels, that the will to receive controls him, and also when do we begin to feel our will to receive is controlling? It is especially, not that we are successful in all sorts of egoistic goals of ours, rather when we want to exit our will to receive, to rise above it, to make some actions of bestowal, what actions of bestowal can we do from between us to the creator? Also, the will to receive that controls between us and also the will to receive that controls between us to the Creator. That's how we reveal Pharaoh, the will to receive that bothers us in connection between us and in the connection between us to the Creator. That's how we recognize Pharoh and when we begin to fight against him in something, we want to exit somehow, get loose of it, to feel at least in some motions of ours, in some relation between us, then we begin to be together and see how much it doesn't let us escape, it always controls and even more and more, as much as we make actions to exit, he holds us even more and in this we begin to feel ourselves that we are slaves, that they’re under his control and under no form we cannot escape in no way. This sensation is a sensation that needs to be as clear as possible, as whole, as complete as possible, that it truly encompases us, holds us, in all manners in all ways, that in sum total the sensations, this force in thoughts, in desires, is called Pharaoh. There is good Pharaoh like there was in the seven years of satiation that they tell us about, the same years that we went through, meaning they were in Egypt and they tell us at the beginning then our forefathers were workers of the Pharaoh meaning that they would bow to the Pharaoh and do everything he wanted and there was no difference between those who wanted, who would later want to exit it, in the meantime everything was nice and good, everything in Egypt was good in general that the will to receive it's good that he can develop, and when he will begin to want to exit the will to receive, to exit the borders of Egypt, then it begins to be the matter of the dominance, who will control, either the Creator, the Creator seemingly controls outside of Egypt, or Pharoah. With whom does a person agree, because you cannot be in both the intention to receive or the intention to bestow, either Pharoah or the Creator, and that's how, more and more, we attain just how much we are not free, not in our minds, not in our sensations, meaning also in thoughts and in desires, we are not capable of thinking of something besides benefit to ourselves. Those same desires and thoughts that Pharaoh holds in us, all the thoughts, the desires to receive for ourselves, that’s called Pharoah. All the thoughts and desires that we can receive from the outside, they are not for our benefit seemingly, not for the benefit of Pharaoh, rather for the benefit of the force of bestowal, for the benefit of the outside, what a person depicts for himself, that is called the Creator. And our work after we begin in a bit to feel where we are, that we have some contact between us, from between us to the Creator, then we begin to feel how much we are always in a struggle, weak, in the meantime, like little kids they want to do something but they're not allowed to, that's how we are, to that we want to rise above the control of our ego but we are not capable and we agree with this and we fall again and we continue, and that's how it is, maybe a few minutes a day in a good case that a person reveals that yes he would like in any case to rise above his ego and immediately again he forgets and falls again to his ego and continues as usual. That's the Exile, that's the control of Pharaoh on us, and until we understand and only by this that we reach connection between us, if we will reach connection between us, then by the connection, that the connection gives each one an outside force that we organize around us, each one, the force of nine friends, that's like nine Sephirot in the Partzuf in which the light appears and there’s the vessel ,that if we arrange it such, it doesn't have to be specifically of nine plus one, but if we organize ourselves in such a manner that I want that the friends will be around me, that they will bestow to me and it's truly coming from the Creator, then that I myself am the sorry, a weak created being, the egoistic one, that if I could rise above myself I must adhere to them delve into them, then by that like Malchut who is incorporated in the first nine, supports the first nine, it saves herself and raises herself from the degree of Malchut meaning from the degree of reception to the degree of bestowal, the degree of the first nine, and that's how we are in the extent that we make an effort to be incorporated in the friends more and more. In such a way we by these actions draw the light that reforms, then he bestows to us through those same friends, the first nine, and then we advance ourselves to rise above the degree of Malchut to the degree of the first nine. That's actually our work. There are a few more matters here and we will talk about it, I just wanted to give this introduction in order for you to see how much we are in our state, that we are learning about our state, and so it’s worthwhile for us to do delve deeper and adhere to those same matters that the Torah is telling us about about the Exile of Egypt. We’ll read what we have to read and we will learn something from it, you can ask and as much as we’ll make an effort to feel these states within our lives, then from this we will feel just how much it is realistic and truly to realize it today?
1 S. (13:05) To depict to ourselves, separation is possible but the force of connection is so concealed from us it is truly a riddle for us. What is that connection, it’s so hidden relative to Pharaoh?
R, It’s clear to us because the first nine, first of all it's nine forces that they need to be connected in me in and to operate as one force, the force of bestowal all in all sorts of manners for the will to receive as much as it appears to us so big and rich in all sorts of it’s facets but it has only one desire to fill ourselves, itself, rather the will to bestow there's a lot of facets there really, nine Sephirot in the desire to bestow and then afterwards the will to receive, but thee will to receive is much greater and it is much bigger and he's felt as such in us. The desires to bestow are small and seemingly spread out and we cannot feel them, you are right, you said it correctly, where are these desires to bestow, where are these first nine? I don't feel them. Correct. It'll all be revealed gradually as much as we will want together to rise above our will to receive, to connect above it. When does it really truly depict to ourselves even mechanically there is us, the friends in the group, and we want to jump above, together all of us like we are standing in a circle and we are holding our hands together and we jump. We want to jump above ourselves that if we’ll make some exercises suddenly we will feel there is a force that joins us and raises us truly raises us above, and we can be more and more time in the air and this is the force of the Creator that we requesting of him to hold us to give us upliftment above our ordinary egoistic state, that we want to be in sensation and mind to be truly in the air, yes, and that's how Kabbalists describe to us our actions and by this we will begin to feel how to truly exit the will to receive to the intention to bestow.
S. And these exercises, I need to be concerned that all of us are doing them all the time?
R. Yes, we need all the time to make an effort to be in connection between us, to hold ourselves seemingly as if in our hands, it is not physically but to feel such that we are together yes that we want that each shall help his friend to jump above the ground from our will to receive and to be in something above it, above our will to receive each one on its own and the sum total together we want to uplift and we want to be incorporated the force of bestowal, the Creator.
2. S. (17:56) It seems like you are giving us some hope and more hope than usual because if we don't focus on our ego we start to see already the true desire to receive for ourselves and that might be Egypt. We need to go to that state?
R. I am describing to you some exercise that we begin, we can begin to do it in a group, that despite that, each one when he is on his own that he discovers himself that he is in his will to receive only. But when he will describe themselves that he's holding himself together with the friends that each one again rely on this that he's connected with the friends, that the friends are the same first nine, that they bring to him the force of bestowal the upper force and then by them he can hold themselves at least for some time in air above his ego. So, as such each and everyone and then when we together we do such exercises and we pray from within the exercises the Creator will be with us, that he will be that same force that fills us, that lifts us, that by that same force we want to rise to the intention to bestow, that we begin to feel that truly we receive such forces and after we’ll reveal that is not some imaginary force or some psychological upliftment, rather it is truly a spiritual force that we can draw it and the light that reforms it will changes us, it will change our request, our prayer, me to my beloved and my beloved to me, meaning that we turn to the Creator and the Creator to us, and in such a manner we strengthen one another, we hold one another, and we grasp one another, and in such we will reach the spiritual upliftment.
3. S. (20:47) If the friends are the first nine, everything that I feel through them what they bestow to me, it is always the bestowal of the Creator, is it always his qualities?
R. Yes, yes.
S. When I try to care for them to bestow to them that’s only so that I will be able to incorporate with them, that’s my correction actually?
R. It is in order to incorporate with them and in order to reach bestowal to the Creator.
S. So, the connection in this mechanism of the first nine through the ten gives me the feeling that I'm rising above my personal concerns?
R. Yes because you’re incorporated in them. You exchange your egoistic will to receive with the desire of the group that's called make your desire as his desire and then you bestow to the group and that's called bestowal to the Creator.
S. So in that perspective it’s truly the Creator meaning that each and every friend is truly?
R. Not each friend, rather all the friends together. You can say as such that each friend but there is an opportunity to be mistaken.
S. Meaning it’s more correct to see them as one, all and?
R. If it's like one package then it’s truly for the correct form in the meantime.
S. There’s a different perspective in which we feel more mutuality that we need to help each other and to hold one another and there it seems like we are all in below and we turn to the Creator?
R. Yes, it can also be such, theres a few manners of appeals, of pleas. The main thing is to all the time depict these things in all sorts of manners and as such you will see that you really have a connection between you and the Creator, a constant connection and is developing and you feel in this connection all the forms of Egypt and later exits.
S. So the exits that we do in the tens is that to constantly purify, clarify those relations and that inner dialogue with the friends all the time ?
R. Yes, I hope that we are close to the inner study what it's called Egypt and how to exit it to rise above it and we truly reach Passover, passes over, to exit.
4. S. (24:16) At the beginning of the lesson you said that at certain a point Pharaoh will release us and let us go. What is the point that will happen?
R. Well wait, we still don't feel that we are on the control of Pharaoh that we are in Egypt, we don't feel it. So, until we reach it, until we feel it, meaning we need to make an effort as quickly as possible to go through all these states but it all depends on the extent of connection between us. The Pharaoh is that same force that bothers us to be one man in one heart the moment that we can at least in something to be close to one another, that's called that we are already in the process of the seven years of famine. Why famine? Because we feel that Pharaoh bothers us and we in overcoming it can in any case succeed to fight and even to receive ten blows. These are ten blows that we receive, our will to receive, that by these blows we are separating from the will to receive, rising above it and when we’ll go through the ten blows, then each time we’ll separate, we’ll separate, we’ll separate, such ten times from the will to receive and each quality on each manner of it that it is revealed then we will be free. That's called that we have exited Egypt but in the meantime we only need to see how we connect between us and going through each and every blow brings us tighter together to one another it makes of us like one man in one heart and such we are preparing ourselves to disconnect from our ego, from Egypt and the rise to be as one man in one heart.
5. S. (27:16) You described a state earlier that happens all the time every day and it is pretty precise what you described that we return to the Creator even not in prayer in an actual demand and it falls and then we come back to it and it falls again. I will symbolize it like someone who lifts weights, his muscles are not letting him, how long can he hold it in the air? And here instead of muscles it’s the ego that doesn’t let you hold it up in the air. Is there a possibility to demand all the time?
R. No, no you cannot but at least when we fall and we rise, we fall and we rise each time from such motions we are benefiting as remember from the servant, the king giving commands that you can bring a treasure that each one takes a bit and they go back and forth back and forth and such little by little they pass all the parts and everything. It is not so simple as it is four hundred years and meaning, it needs to be a complete work, the whole container needs to be transferred from egoistic will to receive to an intention to bestow. So, it seems to us that going back we haven't done anything and once again we fall into the will to receive but it's not the same will to receive it is already different. And, we will understand these matters, we will get used to them and even that we will understand and recognize, even we will love this state because it’s a state for correction that each and every action you make an intention to bestow and every time you give contentment to the Creator. So don't take it so emotionally what you feel in the descent, in the fall, the despair, the disappointment, rather, all these things specifically cause contentment to the Creator. Because, it is like a little child that tries in something to do and he doesn't succeed, and he does succeed, but he tires and he tries, but in any case he's trying and he’s trying and from time to time he becomes wiser and his lack of success builds in him persistence, understanding of who is in business with and that's how he advances. We have no choice. All of humanity needs to do this just after us and in a much easier and quicker manner. The main thing is our group and the others will receive it from us in a much easier and quicker manner. They will need to go through these things because everyone is on the intention to receive but it will be easier but they are incapable of otherwise. For us we’ve been given the force, the desire for the goal, the impatience, and as such we need to be the pioneers.
6. S. (31:19) What connection Malchut should have with each Sephirot. What is the relationship between the Sephirot and how do we distinguish them from each other?
R. We will learn this afterwards in action because we see those Sephirot themselves and become familiar with these qualities of bestowal. In the meantime we need to make an effort simply to connect between us and hold the forces of bestowal that we are capable to depict to ourselves and stabilize between us, establish between us Those are the first nine that afterwards will be built the Partzuf, their relations between us, the giving from one another. that each shall help his friend. These actually will be the first nine of the Partzuf . Then when we establish it correctly, we will feel the presence of the Creator between us.
7. S. (32:49) Is the Creator the one who helped us exit Egypt because we pray to him or since we jumped together and connected like in the exercise you recommended will we make these big leaps?
R. Even the smallest jump we are incapable of doing without the force of the Creator because the force in us is an egoistic small force only. All these jumps that we talk about, these leaps rise above the will to receive. It always happens to us on the force of the Creator, the force of the bestowal. There are only two forces in sum, total. The force of bestowal and there is the force of reception. Between both of them we operate. Here is the Creator, the good seemingly and here is the bad Creator. Here is the Pharaoh as it is called and here is called Bo Reh, Creator. We are between both of them, more or less between both of them. Even with our will to receive we think it is us, but it's not us. The will to receive is also the upper force. It is an angel and was created for us and it was created intentionally. The difference is in us, all those same qualities and force that is in the Creator except for one thing. That he is tied to the goal. We will learn about this. We will see.
8. S. (35:02) Can you summarize in simple words this exercise of our common jump?
R. We need to feel that each one is in his ten, that he is in this one body and together see that he is capable of giving contentment to the Creator. As much as they are joined together by this they give contentment. Also, understand that when they separate and get far from one another the Creator gives them the opportunity to once again connect to accumulate and come together between them but to a higher degree. It turns out that the Creator separates us and we come together to an even a high degree, but the Creator separates between us. Then when we want to come together to the Creator, we plead that we want it. When we are farther we call this force Pharaoh. It is actually that same Creator, just his rear, the posterior. The face, anterior and posterior
S. How do we do this practically not together with Egypt?
R. All in thought. All will be clarified in thought. We have actions where we can do some meals, make a L'Chaim. There are all sorts of things but really you have to do it in thought. We are connecting, we want to connect
9. S. (37:18) What is the action of that jump, that leap?
R. The action of the leap? That when we are in a descent and distance from one another, we unite and reach prayer and that we request from the Creator to give us the force, to connect us even more that He will connect between us. Besides this, we make all sorts of preparations that we connect between us and this connection will be closer to Him.
S. But why is the exit from a descent actually?
R. This exit. What exit? The exodus from Egypt is something that we will learn. It is not simple. It is something that we need to go at night in the dark and following the fire and in the day following the cloud. We will learn all those discernments, it is ahead of us. From the time being we are working on the connection.
S. Why is the entrance to connection specifically from a leap, from a state of descent?
R. It doesn't need to be a leap or jump
S. That's how you presented it.
R. When we decide during the descent that we have no choice, that we must come to connection at any price. We will go through these from the text and it'll be clear to us. From the time being, we are as slaves that are in Egypt. Meaning, we seemingly want to connect and we feel that we are not capable. That's closer to the truth of our current state.
10. S. (39:56) You said that everything occurred in thought. What exactly do we need to do to think that we are one body. Is there some specific Man that we have to depict to ourselves that we are one man together. What exactly?
R. We need to depict, the connection we need to depict is that we are in connection between us and each feels in what way he can help the other in order to sustain the ten together. No one can hold himself but rather each just thinks how I can sustain and hold the others. By that, each disconnects from his ego and he is Incorporated in the upper nine, the first nine, and this is how the ten exists.
S. So, I described to myself as ten sefirot? Then I think how can I hold everything together as one whole?
R. Yes, like that.
Reading Item #34: (41:29) “Hebrew Man and Egyptian Man”
11. R. (43:32) Yes, this excerpt is a little complex and difficult. It is not small. We will read it again.
Reading Item #34: “Hebrew Man and Egyptian Man” continues…
11. R. (44:02) Yes, that is how it was written in the Torah. This is what Rabash tells us.
Reading Item #34 (44:09) : “Hebrew Man and Egyptian Man” continues…
12. R. (44:18) Which draws him to the purpose of creation.
Reading Item #34 (44:09) : “Hebrew Man and Egyptian Man” continues…
13. R. (44:59) Meaning that a person begins to differentiate that he has two; one that acts as a beast, meaning in order to receive, and that's called the Egyptian man that comes from the will to receive, and the second that he has the Hebrew man. The Hebrew man, one who yearns to move over and beyond the will to receive to come to the desire to bestow, someone a little. That's what it's called the Hebrew, the. Then he is seemingly in this inner split, and this is how he says it is written “and he saw that there was no man”, yes? Meaning, there is no one, in other words, there will never be a man that emerges from himself, meaning he won’t be able to reach a degree of a man and this is because the person on the quality of Moses which is the quality of the faithful Shepherd, meaning, the part of God that it is in a person, which is the shepherd of the faith for the whole of Israel, and wants to draw all his qualities to spiritually. This Force awakens a person to see the truth. That a person will never achieve the quality of man by himself that a person sees that the qualities of bestowal, connection with every man, reaching the degree of the Creator, it is not upon him. This is what he says that he saw “there was no man” that he doesn't have those qualities that he cannot attain this and this is what causes him to ask the Creator to give him faith in the Creator, the force of bestowal, the force of Bina, by which he will achieve Devekut with the Creator. Meaning, a person through the descents, the falls, all these states that he receives sees that he will never be able to rise about these desires of his, these egoistic desires to something spiritual. This builds in him two things: on one hand, he understands that there's nothing spiritual in him, on one hand, on the other hand, he sees that he does have a connection with the Creator because it is the Creator who has awakened him by showing him how much he is not in spirituality. All together the Creator created in him all those two discernments, so the person will ask. So that he will ask.
S. (48:12) What type of request is it, if he sees that he can not?
R. He can’t, specifically since he can’t. Don't you see this with your kids? when the little child comes to you and cries that things are not working out for him. When does he come to you? When he sees that without you he can’t. The Creator wants us to come to Him, to learn from Him Spirituality, to be in adhesion to Him, and therefore each time brings us from disappointments to disappointments, so each time we will come to Him and ask and demand.
S. Faith in the Creator?
R. Yes, yes. That is called to receive the force of faith, the force of bestowal from the Creator. The Creator will teach you everything, exactly like little children that come to you must help them and teach them.
S. But when they come to me I tell them, come to me earlier, don't come to me when you reach despair. At least that is what I understand?
R. A child doesn’t understand all your smarts. He knows he has a daddy and when things don’t work out for him then he cries, and then he comes to daddy. He doesn’t come to daddy before he cries.
S. What adhesion is this, is it not the least adhesion?
R. No, it is true adhesion because he feels that he is truly a zero and only you can make him a man out of him, to teach him. That's how we are too, exactly. Why cannot we learn from little children? By way of nature.
14. S. (49:58) What does it mean “and he saw that there was no man?
R. We will see that “there's no man”, since there is no quality in him that could be in order to bestow. It's been explained, it's not like I'm saying this out of myself. It has been explained.
15. S. (50:35) Each time the Creator brings us from descents to requests. That, as you said, that the whole goal is to show requests and we cannot reach the requests from good. Why do we always need to get the request from the despair?
R. Because without the despair you won’t turn to the Creator. You won't adhere to Him all your hope for salvation. That's why each time we need to enter into despair and even deeper despair than the way you had before. We go up and down, up and down but when we come down we have a greater descent and greater despair at which point I turn to the Creator with more power and with more prayer and then he raises me to a higher degree. I need to discover that greater deficiency otherwise how will I receive greater life from Him, a greater degree, understanding attainment. That's why despair needs to be greater each time. I saw such states in our teacher Rabash that it seemed to me that it is impossible to even go through them. As much as I understood them, I didn't feel them inside like him but in truth, we therefore need to strengthen the group and to care for every friend so you won't fall, and to watch over each and everyone and then we will quickly reach the goal. Each time the despairs, the falls, the discovery of the vessels and the deficiencies will be greater. That is called the darkness of Egypt, when? When we start to enter Egypt everything is okay, seven years of satiation, parties. When they start to truly come into the attainment of what Egypt and for the exit altogether, it is something horrible. That's how the story itself goes. That only through the connection between us we can attain something that is more and more and more. Just like in our life when we mature and grow, we need to attain greater forces and be more independent and we can no longer rely on our parents. There is no choice, we have to try to stabilize ourselves alone, as independent.
S. (53:59) If you look at all of life and you see the despair also needs to be true. I didn’t understand?
R. No, you can’t prepare for the despair here. There are new revelations of egoistic states that we see there. I have no chance to reach filling.
S. If we learn our method, we can’t consciously, like we learned at the beginning of the lesson, we jump above the sensation of the ego? How do we go through the despair faster?
R. Only through connection, where through the connection you find a connection to the Creator. With one's' forces one cannot go through any descents.
S. In the connection, then the despair is not felt in such an intensity?
R. It’s felt but it becomes the coarseness of the new degree. There's none wiser than one with experience. What can you do, that’s how we learn.
16. S. (55:13) This direction that we have touched now, we said that each time we need to reach a greater despair and then we come to an appeal to the Creator. What is the difference between, in due time and in hastening?
R. Where I discover as much support as possible in the ten, that's the path of Achishena, in haste, where I come to the group, the Kli. Whereas if not Achishena, if not in haste it won’t go.
S. Does the despair change in hastening?
R. The despair is different. Let’s do a workshop about this. What’s the difference between in due time and in haste? Beito and Achishena?
Workshop (56:42)
Reading #35 (01:02:00) “The Egyptians despised the food of the Hebrews…” Twice
17. R. (01:04:10) The difference between the Egyptians and Hebrews is that these are in order to receive, and these already came out of in order to receive to in order to bestow.
Reader Continues. (01:04:15)
18. S. (01:06:09) The intention to bestow it's always through hastening?
R. The way of in haste is also this and also that, it can be in all kinds of states. Nevertheless you are aimed eventually to come to the goal. When you are on the way to the bad you can be in ascents and descents, you can be in transgressions in order to receive also, but nevertheless these are personal without which you can’t. Just like we are talking about the wheel that is spinning, so a part of it is going backwards and a part of it is going forward and this is how we in such spins, in such revolutions reach eventually the goal. Therefore everything can be inside a person, the desire to receive the desire to bestow, different transgressions, all kinds of states as long as he doesn't leave the goal. No matter what state he’s in he nevertheless, well, let it be, no matter what, I'm connected to the goal. The Creator will arrange things on the path for me. I subdue myself towards the group, I bow my head down and subjugate it towards the group, to the Creator and do what I'm capable of.
S. A person’s mission is, how each and every moment I can pass on to hastening?
R. That is for sure, if I am included in the ten then it is certain that I'm moving forward already. My entire moving backwards is in order to walk forward again. Backwards in order to move forward, and such things like start, stop. That is how I advance.
19. S. (01:08:35) What is that term bread and how does it correctly advance us in our spiritual work in the ten?
R. Bread is the force of faith that a person tries to attain, the force of bestowal that a person tries to attain.
20. S. (01:09:04) From the excerpt we just read, it appears that what we need to steal from the Egyptians their vessel?
R. Yes of course, why do we even go down to Egypt? That's called together, for what? Before we enter Egypt we are in a good state. Rather we don’t have the vessels, we don’t have big desires to receive and by correcting them we can rise towards the Creator. Therefore we go down to Egypt and it is called they came out with great assets. Where they came into Egypt to the desire to receive in order to receive, they receive big desires, big vessels, goals, and then they raise it to the Exodus from Egypt to in order to bestow. They add to the desires to receive from Egypt intentions in order to bestow that we receive later in the 40 years in the desert. 40 is called that we raise ourselves from Malchut to Bina which is called 40 the height of 40, and that's how we advance.
S. The Egyptians according to the excerpt, that they keep the reason and the mind in a very forceful manner. Why is it like loaning the vessel, it sounds like we have to steal them?
R. Eventually we seemingly steal vessels from the Egyptians and run away from Egypt with their vessels. The desires that are in Egypt, which are the big desires, we don't have in us. We need to take all those big desires and just add to them later from the degree of Malchut to the degree of Bina, intentions in order to bestow, at which point we are already in the purpose of creation. We will learn this, it will settle down soon. You will see how much this talks about the process that all of humanity has to go through and now too, we are in very advanced states.
21. S. (01:11:44) How with all the work with the connection between us does it bring us down into Egypt and all these desires of the Egyptians, these intentions wake us up?How do we just not drown in Egypt without any chance of getting out?
R. Of course there is a danger. They talked about this, if you read it again you will see that the people in Israel and it is written that when the people in Israel were in the desert and in Egypt there was a danger that they couldn't come out of there.
S. What holds us? What keeps us alive?
R. Only the connection with the Creator where from within the Creator lowers them and performs all kinds of states that we have to go through at which point we only the Creator can.
We will get into this more and more and more. It's not a simple story because it reveals all kinds of forces that are in creation and operate not upon us but rather upon all of reality, all the galaxies. You can see all things.
Excerpt 36 (01:13:17) “What Is the Assistance that He who Comes to Purify Receives in the Work?”
22. 01:13:28) Yes, meaning the entire desire, the evil inclination in us it is not just a desire to receive but it is contradicting to the advancement of ours towards adhesion etween us and the Creator if you are aimed at coming at the Creator then the entire force separating us is called the evil inclination
Excerpt 37 (01:13:54) Article No. 923, “And he said, ‘When You Deliver the Hebrew Women’”Twice
23. (01:14:55) What he is saying is something twisted that those people who want to come to in order to bestow even though they do not quite feel that they have it in them, but from within Pharaoh is working on them. He holds them, he confuses them so they will not leave Egypt. For what? in order to grow a great big egoistic will to receive in them in all kinds of ways that is called the Shoresh, Neshama, the root of the soul of the person and then in such a way he advances them in both directions. The big desire to receive sustaining them and also prepares a demand from them in order to bestow and to to rise above the will to receive
Excerpt 38 (01:15:54) Article No. 926, “Come unto Pharaoh”
24. R. (01:16:41) Meaning Pharaoh actually stands before us and opens or closes the door for us, towards development, if you want to develop in order to receive then it is open and if you want to develop in order to bestow then it is closed. We need to feel these things which are open or closed before us and then examine how we nevertheless breach through something that is closed and it is written that no servant can run away from Egypt. The opening and closing of the door to exit Egypt is the desire to receive and he doesn let the person leave. Therefore Pharaoh seemingly stands on the path and does not let them leave. The egoistic desire in the person, it is written that after the blows that Pharaoh himself opens the door for them and accompanies them to the exit. This is something that we will learn how this happens. It is all in and not so clear simple way but we are learning these things and getting ready to recognize them
Excerpt 39 (01:18:22) “What Is the Order in Blotting Out Amalek?”
25. R. (01:19:00) Yes that the general name of the evil inclination, the egoistic desire is either the king of Egypt or it is Amalek it is the same it is just different ways in it different manners in it.
Excerpt 41 (01:19:20)
26. R. (01:20:14) At the moment we are simply reading it to hear it and then we will, nonetheless next time we will learn this is well.
Excerpt 42 (01:20:25)
Excerpt 43 (01:21:29)
27. R. (01:22:49) This means that when the abundance does not come to the desire to receive who wants bestowal in order to receive is not possible and bestowal is not possible either and then it turns out that the king of Egypt brings Israel closer to come out of Egypt because he lets them understand what you want you cannot get in Egypt in order to receive but when you want it in order to bestow you will be able to do that but we will learn how that happens.
Excerpt 44 (01:23:23)
28. R. (01:24:27) Okay, so we have read from the text and later we will learn them we have just read, then it is good to hear about it and let's move to women
29. S. (01:24:49) What is the difference between despair and exile
R. That despair is feeling and the exile is reality, the sensation of exile when I am in the desire to receive in order to receive and I cannot come out of it this is the sensation of the exile, when I am under its control and certainly it is impossible to come out of it. Despairr maybe is something temporary it is emotional and exile is reality, it is a state
30. S. (01:25:36) That main difference between Achishena and Beito is that in Achishena we have a prayer?
R. In Achishena, we have a prayer, yes, and indue time, there is no prayer, it is true, it is phrased well, very nice question. In Beito, we are not asking we are seemingly rolling from one state to the other, time-to-time sometimes we do feel these states but we have not asked him to come out of them, to progress from them, this is why it is not called Achishena, Achishena is where we are asking by the force of the Creator.
31. S. (01:26:30) How to reach the middle line between the opposite lines coming down on us from the Creator?
R. When we understand that the left line comes from the Creator as well but we do not want to be in it because we want to be attached to the right, to such an extent that we attach the left to the right as well, so we progress in the middle.
32. S. (01:26:58) Is overcoming my PHaroah, my will to receive, does it depend on the ten or me?
R. Progress depends only on me, the group and the Creator, when I raise a prayer to the group, through the group to the Creator and from that I progress, because out of that I build a spiritual vessel where the spirituality, the Creator and the force of bestowal is revealed.
33. S. (01:27:38) How to go into the work in the ten, specifically between the reading during the day?
R. You have to decide together what you are thinking about, what you want to do, what you want to reach, what prayer to the Creator you want to build, we have to be in and then every time to try not to come out of this and always to organize this way inside the heart and mind, talk to each other and decide how we progress.
34. S. (01:28:30) What is that Rabash says that he had ten working is the ten something internal or it has to be dressed into the bodies of the friends in this world?
R. The descents are because the Creator has a desire to receive which was not revealed before, gives us more desire to receive that was not known before and now with the new desire which is added, which is attached to me for example and I need to add this desire to the descent. I need to request to give me the force to progress and this way we can progress and move on.
35. S.( 01:29:) So then the ten is something internal or it has to be dressed into the bodies of the friends in this world?
R. Also dressed into the friends in this world until we reach and internal ten.
36. S. (01:29:48) How not to remain stuck in states about to speed up the changing of the records?
R. This all depends on you, how much you are working in more intense manner, how through the friends you turn to the Creator, requesting and asking that the Creator would take care of you, this is the realization of the prayer.
37. S. (01:30:23) Is there Pharaoh the beastly nature or is it something spiritual?
R. The Pharaoh is a spiritual force already, the beastly nature of man is the abreast, when the person wants to rise above his nature and wants to reach actions of bestowal, them he starts to discover that he has a desire to receive that resists and this is called Pharaoh.
38. S. (01:30:51) How does Pharaoh go from an enemy to a helper?
R. This is by our work in Egypt, when we start to discover the Creator as well and we see these two forces, one before the other and then we understand that they're both accompanying us until the final correction. Both act on us and accompany us until the final correction and then the Pharaoh opens the door for us to come out of Egypt.

Baal HaSulam. Introduction to The Study of the Ten Sefirot. #64

R. (00:10). Yes, continue we do not really remember what we learned a few days ago but it does not matter because we are, all in all, coming to get to know things a little bit here and there a little bit, until they settle in us in the heart and mind and first in the heart and then in the head, this is how it should be because the head start processing these things after the heart feels and this is why it does not matter as much as we remember or not from the previous things if it will be in our heart we will feel them according to whenever need them and if it don't it also is not too bad. The main thing is to still put our forces into it and try as much as we can to connect to what we are learning

R. (02:56) Meaning here is concealment of the face and before us now there are states of revelation of the face

1. S. (04:18) Before, Baal HaSulam was always speaking towards a person, that a person has to say that the Creator is good and does good who does good and here he is saying that he starts to feel it towards other people?
R. It is possible, yes, because it is coming closer to revealed providence. When the providence is revealed he understands the Creator more he feels him by the bestowal of the Creator upon all creatures. This also comes by degrees in ascent more and more and more until it expands his perception to the entire reality.
2. S. (05:17) It is not clear how there could be mistakes that are rewards.
R. If by them we advance to the truth to the good then the revelation of evil, it is also incorporated into the good because without the evil he cannot discover the good.
3. S. (05:51) These four states can we go through them as a single state that is in man, in prayer or not?
R. It is not exactly so tight one to the other people are in different states ascending, descending, progressing and even regressing a bit so this is how it is revealed and one state, one jump, we cannot go through anything in spiritually because everything is revealed by its opposite.
S. So what is the whole complete state, his speaking about the double concealment or the double revelation, how do I see it?
R. When the Creator is revealed entirely as the good that does good upon all the evil forces because there is no revelation of the evil or good without the other they always go in pairs one discovers the other one shows the other.
4. S. (07:17) Everybody's under the influence of the media and it’s giving us opinions of what is happening in this world. What should we do, stop listening to the media or do it in a selective way because we have to live under this information, should we close ourselves off in the tens?
R. No. How does your media disturb your perception of God, they don’t talk about that in the media. People who bring you all kinds of views of this world they are not related to the spiritual attainment they do not know about it they do not understand anything about it this is why you can be in contact with them they are talking about what is there's and you are talking about what is yours, so they cannot disturb you, this is why the entire wisdom of Kabbalah all through the generations was not influenced by the external world. What do you have in this external world they are talking about how to gain more how to control more how to succeed how to reach money or honor, and you are talking about something different, how to attain the force of bestowal the force of love the force of connection they are not talking about that they have different goals, this is why you and them there is no connection you are not together you are not in good or bad.
S. We have to live in this world according to the laws of this world, we have to be married, go to the army, we have to pay taxes, but the media, how can we get the right information from the world? It is a clear about you answered on the side of spirituality but in this world getting information how to do this?
R. I tell you again, I do not see how this disturbs you. Why does this disturb you when you hear the news? You hear some news about people who build some egoistic world of their own and they are impressed of it and they talked about it in the radio for example and you hear the radio and you hear their views about this egoistic world they have built, so how does that relate to your spiritual world that you want to discover and attain? There is no connection, there is absolutely no connection. I also hear the news, I am also connected to different things and I also have some conversations with reporters to write something about it but it does not disturb me what I hear, but that’s their views and upon that I just hear what is happening in the world information different cases and with these cases I give our interpretation, how much this brings us closer to the final correction. But their views their philosophy, I do not hear that at all this I do not hear it all, but the fact this happened and that happened let's say that that is true but it is still upon that I can give some explanation of mine how much by that we can get closer to the correction, this is my explanation.
5. S. (12:013) He is speaking about the four faces of attainment, that the first three are double concealment, concealment, and guidance by reward and punishment. What does it mean in spirituality?
R. We will see that, it is still before us but you understand what is a reward and punishment, when you are given some work to do, if you succeed you get reward if you do not succeed you get punishment.
S. And he says that this is just a preparation for spiritual work, the reward and punishment.
R. OK, we will learn about it, we learn this is not so bad. I understand that you are afraid of punishment but instead think about the reward.
S. I am punished, my whole life, it’s ok.
R. Oh poor guy.
Reading: Item #65 ()
6. S. (14:08) The providence of reward and punishment, is that connected to the ability to give contentment to the Creator or is that only working for myself?
R. It is all in order to give contentment to the Creator through giving contentment through the ten, through the big group, and maybe through the entire humanity.
7. S. (14:53) The righteous sees the greatness of the Creator so he does not want to sin. What is the difference between this or an angel that also has to do automatically what the Creator want him to do?
R. The angel cannot sin because he is an angel. This is the part of Malchut without freechoice where let's say at donkey it does not matter some animal it cannot make a mistake because it lives by it's instinct, it has no freechoice, it maybe can make a mistake and fall of a mountain but it is not that he has a free choice there. Let's see that he is sick and the it cannot overcome internally or externally so it fell, and this is the degree that we call an angel whereas a human is always in doubts, always in scrutiny or maybe in scrutiny and a human is Adam is a person who can resemble the Creator goes in the ten and acts in the ten to connect between them and to establish in the connection between them the image of the Creator, this is why we call the Creator come and see, what they established between themselves. That’s why man can make mistakes and he does, all the time. Man makes mistakes but every time when he makes a mistake he corrects himself makes another mistake and then again and that’s why they say there is no righteous in the land that did not make a mistake or sin but ultimately he does good but before that he sins, this is how it is at each and every step.
S. What is Baal HaSulam saying when he says that the righteous will not sin because he is feeling the greatness of the Creator?
R. While a person feels himself when he feels the greatness of the Creator then he is called righteous because he justifies the Creator and his attached to the Creator and cannot sin out of this state for the time being, but it does not mean that in the next step he cannot be a wicked again, of course he can but this is state he is now justifying the Creator that’s why he is called a righteous then he cannot sin so what does the Creator do? He increases his will to receive, drops this person and the person from this new will to receive without the restriction and the screen becomes wicked again.
S. Is there such a thing as an eternal righteous as a complete righteous?
R. Yes.
S. So a complete righteous still falls?
R. The complete righteous does not fall but we will examine this. You are a bit in a hurry a bit too much ahead, still the wicked, the righteous, the complete righteous, or not complete righteous, wicked, we will learn these definitions and we will see how much they are always coming to us and we have to roll through them but we have to incorporate ourselves with all of them, all the Kedusha, all of the Klipa, everything, otherwise we won’t reach the Creator.
8. S. (18:57) What is the benefit of the mistakes and transgressions the person goes through in concealment?
R. When we come to the feeling of the Creator the revelation of the Creator if you don’t incorporated in the corrupt desires that come to us from the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, we have to incorporate with all the mistakes, the sins, the broken vessels and from the broken vessels we can already established ourselves resurrect ourselves in order to bestow in a complete manner.
S. When we speak about repentance sometimes it sounds as if there is a regret in it. Is there something about regret in repentance?
R. Suppose that there is, so what? Otherwise it just goes through the person in an external way as if it is not his. A person has to incorporated with the mistakes, the falls, the descents, all his evil inclination, he has to feel it is him, otherwise how can we ask for correction and feel the correction and we’ll come to a corrected state? The states we go through, they have to be in us in mind and emotion, in the intellect and the feelings in a complete manner when we are incorporated in all these discernments.
9. S. (20:52) These four stages do build a person in a way that he loves the Creator and adheres to him but how does he do it?
R. Once he is incorporated in all the evil seeing that he cannot come out of it he comes to a state that he erupts in a prayer to the Creator because he has no choice then he understand not only that he doesn't have a choice but it is a big gift, performing these transgressions, these sins, and by that he can reach connection with the Creator and this is how he reaches adhesion, that’s why. Who helped him reach adhesion? Pharaoh helped him to reach the adhesion, the evil inclination is a true angel, it helps a person reach the degree of the Creator, but on the way we have to work against it but later as it is written, “the angel of death becomes a holy angel.”
S. And can we characterize man's part in this whole process?
R. Man that you build, man that you are building, there is no man. The Creator says we will make a man meaning he demands our participation that we along with him we have to make man when we are trying to build this being, this creature we turn it to him for help, he will do the Creator will finish the work, we have to collect all these things and then ask him just like a child coming to you crying that he cannot put the bricks together the Lego blocks and you have to help him. Why is it built this way? Because the main thing is to come to you to reach attachments with you this is the purpose of creation, not just for him to just be smart.
10. S. (23:24) How to go from personal scrutinies to scrutinies in the ten?
R. There are no personal scrutinies, only scrutinies in the ten.
11. S. (23:46) Why is it so scary for us to make mistakes? Because it is really making us freeze and paralyzing us.
R. Because you are thinking about it. You think about the Commandments, not about the mistakes, think about the good things of love and giving and then you will not have fear. You have to be immersed in the good and then you will not be afraid of the bad.
12. S. (24:25) If concealments move us forward how do we move forward with a feeling of true divine attainment at the end of these discernments? If people who justify the Creator, will our progress stop?
R. I do not understand. If we reach adhesion with the Creator, the whole, so then obviously we do not need to advance more. They say there are more degrees but we don’t learn about them in our framework because it is something above the corrections. We are learning that there was a shattering and that we need to correct the shattering. Whatever comes after that after we correct the shattering we do not know, we don't know. There is something there that we will discover and we will discover it together but it is not written anywhere. Here and there there are very subtle hints about the 8000, 9000, 10,000, but it is things that you will get an explanation when we get there but there is nothing written about that. Whoever gets there it is revealed to him. There is no need to write about it because there is no correction there and the Wisdom of Kabbalah writes about corrections, but after the corrections there is nothing to write about. Correct yourself and discover it.
13. S. (26:27) It says here that the work of man is not yet desirable in the eyes of the Creator so how can he attain?
R. I do not understand what you are saying. Where is this written?
S. We just read in item 65, it says that he is still called Medium whose name proves that his work is not desirable in the eyes of the Creator.
R. So what is the question?
S. But he is in a certain attainment correct?
R. Yes, he already starts attaining the Providence but he cannot justify it. Meaning that he could not go back or far from that degree and be again in order to receive, but he still has stuff to attain ahead of him, the correction in order to bestow on all of his desires, that is why it is called Medium or the uncomplete righteous, incomplete righteous. It is not called wicked because he is not in order to receive, and he has not called righteous because he is not already in order to bestow, but he is in between in the middle, that is why he is called Medium but on the path to correction that is why he is called the uncomplete righteous.
14. S. (28:43) Many times we have heard that there is either in order to receive for yourself or to bestow. Here are all kinds of states in between as if before coming out of Egypt before you go into Egypt there is a desert before you.
R. We will still learn about it, you are right, that is how it is written. That is what happens just like what is written in the Torah it is the same stages that a person goes through from an order to receive to an order to bestow and his correction, and in the middle you have after you know the evil and you try to come out of it and you cannot so you cry to the Creator to take you out of there then the Creator takes you out from Egypt and brings you to a place called the Sinai desert. There you have to get guidance on what to do onward. You took from Egypt, from that state when you were in Egypt, you took your corrupted desires to receive, they were all revealed and now they're starting to be revealed in an individual way, each and every little thing and its own place. And then it turns out you now need to perform corrections on each and every desire to receive that is revealed, that is it. That is why this state isn't complete yet. Now you need to receive the Torah. The Torah means the method of the correction of the will to receive that you took from the state that you ran from Egypt that you just disconnected from the source of the evil but you took it evil with you and now you need to correct that evil in order to reach the good. That is our nature thats how we grow. That is why now we start correcting after we come out of Egypt after the receiving of the Torah, meaning that the first connection with the light that reforms, so we get the connection with the upper light and we start to learn how we by this light can correct our will to receive, that will go from the desire in order to receive to become neutral and then through it meaning to bestow in order to bestow to the degree of Bina and then also receiving in order to bestow on the degree of Keter. That is how we now learn how to correct ourselves. That is by using the Torah the upper light.
15. S. (32:24) You said for the first time, this sentence, that we have to reach complete development. What does that mean?
R. We have to reach the complete state to resemble the Creator in everything except for our nature that is the will to receive but the form on that will to receive is what I have to acquire that it will have the form of the Creator and then I will be called Adam who resembles the Creator not from inside according to my nature because according to my nature I will stay Pharaoh, a criminal, the worst thing and according to the corrections upon it there will be restriction, a screen, reflected light and the complete form of bestowal until unconditional love that I receive that quality upon the will to receive, my will to receive. That is called that the darkness shall shine as light and then me and the Creator will be in that same quality, just he and his quality, the natural quality and me and the external quality. That is it. That is why I will be called Adam that resembles the Creator. That inside I am opposite and on the outside I resemble him and from these two states that are in me, opposite from inside and equivalent as the Creator on the outside, by this I will know good and bad light and dark and from this I will have the attainment of reality and in the complete way.
Excerpt #66: (34:42) twice
R.(36:11) About love, how can it be that anyone can obligate someone. That is what he's saying.
Excerpt #66 continues: (3:14) “What can coarse and enslave someone…”
16. S. (37:19) There's a complete contradiction in this excerpt, on the one hand it says that you can coerce…
R. Very nice question and it is asked many times in different places in the wisdom of Kabbalah. How can we coerce ourselves to love? Can you? You can coerce man to do anything but to love then it depends on the feeling in the heart so how can you? So by us doing all of the other actions of connection with the Creator by that, we reach, not that we do it, we by this, by coming closer to the Creator, we reach love. We cannot learn about love. We cannot give it to someone or to one another but only from performing special actions in the connection between us as a result of it we will reach what we call love. Nice question. Very good.
S. According to this item it seems that keeping the 612 Mitzvot is possible as it is as if it’s simple this is inconceivable that he can keep all 612 Mitzvot, what does that mean?
R. I do not understand.
S. It says here in the excerpt that one keeps the 612 Mitzvot and appropriately the love of the Creator extends to him by itself hence it is possible to keep, as if it is simple.
R. 612 actions of connection to the Creator a person can do. From performing them he reaches the commandant the condition of 613 that is called love he cannot work on love but only by keeping the 612 actions he reaches the feeling of the last action 613. That is it.
17. S. (40:15) What is this state of love of the Creator?
R. That you discover the love of the Creator towards you by this you gradually discover your love towards him, because it is light and vessel. If you can do all kinds of actions with them you can discover the love of the Creator towards you then by this you build your vessels that in them you discover your love towards Him. We will talk about it. It is something very exalted. We think we could understand it but it is just from experience.
Reading: Excerpt #67 (41:25) twice
R. (42:31) So why do we need to accept it as a command, that we must reach love of the Creator? What is in this? How then can the Creator obligate us to love him? It is something that it is not human, it is not realistic, there is no example for that in this world that someone can obligate someone to love him.
Excerpt 67 Continues: (43:06) “Rather it comes by itself after completing the 612…”
R. (43:23) If after this we reach love for sure so why should we write the commandant of love
Excerpt 67 Continues: (43:35) “And why was the midst the commandant of love…”
18. S. (43:38) I have one more question about the difficulty in loving the Creator, where's the difficulty, I do not see?
R. But to obligate, to coerce, why? From where? Why does the Creator course? You must reach love to me, that’s what he is saying. I remember when I was young in Russia so they obligated us to love the party ,the political party, you have to love them and whoever doesn't love them is a criminal.
S. But you can coerce, can’t you? They forced you to love.
R. They coerced but can you coerce what is in my heart? How can you know what is in there? If there is an instrument in there and they check, that’s something else, but how can you obligate to love?
S. So what is that basically a condition that you cannot keep?
R. That you must do some actions that as a result of it you reach love for sure. Why do you have to reach love for sure? Because that is the peak, the end of your spiritual development.
S. This condition I do not understand. Is it written that this condition is something you can keep or cannot?
R. You must. It is a commandment, a Mitzvah, you love the Creator. So why is it written “and you love the Lord your God” and in a very elaborate way “with all your heart with all your soul” and so on and so on. Can you obligate someone with this? I’m telling you like in, it’s irrational way they demanded us, whoever lived in Russia, that we have to reach love.
19. S. (45:14) Good and evil are revealed together. What is our contribution so that good will also prevail?
R. By our participation in the ten. We, by this, invite the good force to work on us and in such a way we determine the world to the good, to the scale of merit as we say.
20. S. (46:45) How to understand love to the Creator if he is everywhere?
R. The Upper force is in everything but when we discover it as the good force in everything for that we have to correct ourselves.
21. S. (47:11) Love is only in a place that we can give it. What is the place we're giving so that love will live in us?
R. The intention to bestow according to the equivalence of form love is called that all the intention to bestow is on one side it fills all the intentions of the other in order to bestow and then that is called the outburst of love.
22. S. (47:45) What is the role, the duty of the friends when they are in states of descent?
R. Especially in states of descent, the people on duty, connection duty have to work to make sure that all these things happen. It is like a herd if they are altogether there is no problem but if they scatter so right away those people who guard the sheep have to work to bring them together again, to unite them into the herd. So that is what we have to understand. This work in connecting us daily and we have to work on it daily because our ego does not stop working on us for a moment that is why if we forget or let go of the work of connection between us so for sure we have to be in a descent and it shouldn't be to such an extent that we cannot locate this descent.
23. S. (49:15) You mentioned that during the descent, Gabai, or the ones on duty have to turn to the general vessel for help, can you explain a bit more about that?
R. That is the work they have to do because if we are in our big herd that we want to come out of Egypt, so we have to connect everyone to everyone, that we are still not divided into little parts, afterward we will do it in a spiritual way just like coming out of Egypt, but for now, no. We still as much as possible, except for the tens, we want to be as close as we can to one another and to try and give inspiration of our connection to one another, that is why the purpose and each and every ten, men and women, that we give inspiration from our organization, from our groups, that we certainly can supply great forces connection from one man to his friend, ten to ten group to group let us try to do it. That is it.
