Part 2: Recorded lesson - July 16, 2006. Baal HaSulam. Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah. The Katnut and Gadlut Initiated in the World of Nekudim, #74.

Reader: We are continuing to study The Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah. We are in item 74 in The Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah. Item 74.

Reading: (00:26) Baal HaSulam. Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah. The Katnut and Gadlut Initiated in the World of Nekudim, #74.

74) Here, too, it is considered that the last phase of coarseness, the coarseness of phase two that was in the screen, was completely eliminated, leaving only the record of clothing. Thus, nothing was left of the coarseness but phase one. Hence, the screen received two kinds of coupling in the Rosh of SAG (see Item 43). The incorporation of phase one of coarseness in phase two of clothing, called “the incorporation of the record of the female in the record of the male,” elicited a level at nearly the degree of Bina, which is the degree of VAK of Bina. This level is called “the Sefira Keter of Nekudim.” The incorporation of the male with the record of the female, the record of phase two of clothing in phase one of coarseness, elicited the level of ZA, considered VAK without a Rosh, called “Aba and Ima of Nekudim back-to-back.”

These two levels are called GAR of Nekudim; that is, they are considered ten Sefirot of the Rosh of Nekudim, since each Rosh is called GAR or KHB. But there is a difference between them: Keter of Nekudim, which is at the male level, does not expand into the Guf and shines only at the Rosh. Only AVI [Aba ve (and) Ima] of Nekudim, which are the female level, called “the lower seven Sefirot of Nekudim” or “HGT NHY of Nekudim” expand to the Guf.

Reader: Now we will learn a lesson from Rav on this item from July 16, 2006.

M. Laitman: (02:49) We already drew this. We have Keter, Bina, and Malchut. Keter is entirely bestowal, the Creator. Bina is the Creator's system that has to correct the Malchut, bring the intention to Malchut. Malchut is desire. In order to bring Malchut the intention according to the desire in it, there has to be a mutual connection here. It's feedback. So, Bina received the first feedback and restricted itself, the second restriction.

Now what Bina is lacking is to know in what process is it able to correct Malchut. Meaning, Malchut has to rise to Bina. In addition to restricting Bina, it has to bring knowledge of the entire process by which it can be corrected. And then Bina will gradually begin to influence Malchut and awaken it towards connection.

We still lack this structure in Bina to be able to absorb or receive Malchut with all the discernments. And it's a problem, because it can receive Malchut in its restricted forms. Malchut works under the first restriction.

You can't feel it. When we say that SAG went down, mixed with NHY of Galgalta, acquired Malchut from Galgalta and restricted itself, it doesn't really know what is Malchut of Galgalta. It restricted itself, and that's it. It's forbidden. There are great desires in order to receive there. It's not allowed. But it's not a breakdown of desires. It doesn't know in what it is forbidden, what are they, how to correct them.

That's why there has to be here a mix of Bina and Malchut in such a way that Bina opens itself up, and Malchut opens itself up a hundred percent. They are in complete sharing. Malchut with its will to receive wants a hundred percent to receive, Bina wants a hundred percent to bestow, and they mix together. You know, like this eruption between a husband and wife. They scrutinize everything, and later they can correct it. How? First you break a plate, then you begin to make a life together; that is the beginning of unity. This has to be here, the eruption of the light of all the qualities of Bina and Malchut, and in mixing with one another; otherwise, you can't build the system of connection.

Bina, when it received Malchut here, doesn't feel Malchut exactly. It just feels it needs to be restricted. You're not allowed to give it, but how to do it, how to give it, how to heal it, to correct it, she can't do it. That's why Bina, a hundred percent to reveal its will to bestow and Malchut, a hundred percent to reveal its will to receive tthis is what needs to happen to us in the work of the system, and this is called a shattering.

After the shattering, when they're entirely mingled together, truly together, Bina and Malchut as one, as a fall, a descent,  then out of this mingling, you have an ability to build a system of sharing from this fall, from this descent, you can reach this shared system. Here, there is no sharing. Only, one restricts the other. Meaning, Malchut cannot acquire the intention from Bina, because each and every detail, and every desire, and the merging of desires, and this mixing of all 613 desires in each and every state, there has to be an intention in order to bestow. How will the lower one know what it's missing, what kind of intention, and how will the upper one know what the lower one is missing, what to give it? That's why here we come to build, to the building of the system that will, in the future, correct the lower one.

(07:53) Before us, this way in all of our systems in our world. What do the doctors learn? The doctor has to learn about illnesses, diseases. Why illnesses? He has to know about the healthy state of the patient. If he knows how the healthy body functions, he won't know how to correct a patient, a sick patient. He has to know how does a sick body function, and in what way you can extract it from that state gradually, and yes, but no, because it approaches the body of the patient. So, what we're missing here is, first of all, the system of, the worlds, the upper system that will be incorporated of these two forces. And in truth, from that drawing of Bina and Malchut, we need to say even more than that. Bina has to correct the Malchut. How can it correct it? Malchut has to rise to Bina, together with Bina reach this minggling, which is possible only through the shattering, and then from the shattering, where Bina and Malchut are shattered, they have to reach a structure of the system where Bina knows what is Malchut. This is the system of the worlds of ABYA, and besides that, Bina needs to come down to Malchut and build from these desires, these raw desires, a structure in which Bina and Malchut are also together.

Not mingled yet, but also to be mingled through the shattering, and then they'll reach a state, a structure that can be corrected called Adam HaRishon. This is Adam HaRishon before the sin, and this is the shattered Adam HaRishon, the souls. This is Bina and Malchut that are shattered, and then this upper system, this corrected upper system, influence the broken system, Bina and Malchut mingled together with a clear knowledge of what to do, and here Bina and Malchut correspondingly also mixed together, and then the upper system can correct the lower system, to bring it to correction. What is correction? It will rise to the level of Bina, and then above it, to the level of the Creator.

(11:28) So, together with you, we went through one tiny stage in this entire arc, in this entire sequence, Bina is SAG, Malchut is NHY of AK, and when we come to a state where we approach the system, this shared system, the shattering, and this upper system is called the system of the worlds, the worlds, and here are the souls. You can draw it even with more blocks here, but that's what we need here. So for us, SAG came out, then Malchut restriction, then shattering and correction, and Adam HaRishon, and it's shattering, and it's correction, and ascending up to Keter.

So, we are between block two and three, moving between them. But somehow ask accordingly, because it's extremely logical, very simple. The upper one has to be included in the lower one and all the problems in the lower one, and the understanding of how He can arrange the lower one, correct it with what's in it, meaning it has to be incorporated inside of it with the lower one, and the lower one, in order to understand the upper one, to want to correct it, must be incorporated of the upper one.

So both have to go through shattering and corrections, both the upper one and the lower one, so we have these things in the upper ones and the lower ones, in the worlds and in the souls. Clear?

M. Laitman: (15:00) Meaning, they're entirely restricted, meaning the world of Nekudim in Katnut, smallness, in infancy, Katnut. Meaning, each one of those parts, Keter, AVI, and ZON, are only in Galgalta, Ve'Eynaim. Keter, Rosh of Hitlapshut, of clothing, and Abba Ve Ima of Aviut

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (15:31) How can the Rosh be VAK? It's not clear. He says they're VAKwithout Rosh.

M. Laitman: It's Aleph of Aviut, that's why it's called Vak.

Reader: Friends, we will now move on to a live lesson with Rav, and first we'll sing a song.
