Part 2: Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 6. Part 15, item 200-229

Original lesson date: 07.04.2016

Reader: As a preparation for Passover we’re going to study a lesson with Rav from the “Study of the Ten Sefirot”, part 15.

Reader: Hello, we're reading from “Study of the Ten Sefirot”, part 15. We are in item 3 from the words of The ARI, page 1688.

Reader: We will start with item 1. Part 15, the construction of Nukva of Zeir Anpin, item one, the words of The ARI.

M. Laitman: Just up top, first, second, and third items.

Reading: (01:20) Know that during the Ibur of ZON in Upper Ima, then Zeir Anpin was in the Bechina of VAK only. And the Nukva in the Bechina of one point included from ten, which is the Bechina of Malchut in her, only. And then, by the Ibur, Yenika and Mochin, Zeir Anpin, the Bechina of Zeir Anpin grew until it was completed into ten Sefirot, as known.

Reader: Item two.

Reading: (01:53) However, the growth of Malchut is only by means of Zeir Anpin himself. Because Ima Ila'ah, Upper Ima, when she raised it, she gave him another strength to raise Malchut. And then emerged the Bechina of this growth of Malchut, it came outside by Tifferet. And then Malchut too grew until the purpose of her growth, which is until she too will be completed into ten complete Sefirot in her.

Reader: Three.

Reading: (02:31) Thus, it is essential that as long as Malchut did not grow, for those upper nine Sefirot which are lacking from Nukva to be included in Zeir Anpin in his nine Sefirot, as known, for he has only until the Yesod and Nukva completes him to ten. And then there are nineteen Sefirot. His nine and her ten. And it is called tenth because she is his ten. And it is completed in ten Sefirot with her, and she too has ten Sefirot.

Reader: “Inner Light,” item three.

Reading: (03:22) It is essential that as long as Malchut did not grow yet, for those nine Sefirot which are missing in Nukva to be included in Zeir Anpin in his nine Sefirot, as written in the adjacent item. Zeir Anpin, during its Ibur de Gadlut, also receives from Nukva as a deposit, and it is regarded that she is included the Nukva, in the Guf of Zeir Anpin, which is the Bechina as his BON, which is the Bechina of the Masachim, over which the degrees of NRNHY de Zeir Anpin himself are measured, were in his Ibur Yenika Mokhin. Because that is the rule, that there is no absence in the spiritual. And therefore, all the Bechinot of Masachim de Katnut, of himself remained in the Partzuf, even during his Gadlut, adulthood. Therefore, when he measures the Mochin for the lower one, he measures it for him over the Masachim of himself, from all the degrees that he's been through, from the essence of his Katnut, smallness, to the completeness of his growth, Gadlut. And this is what he says, that it is essential that as long as Malchut did not grow, for the upper nine Sefirot, which are missing from Nukva, to be included in Zeir Anpin, in his nine Sefirot, etc., because in each and every Sefira, out of the nine Sefirot of Zeir Anpin, they have the Bechina of one Sefira of Nukva, which is the Sefira of Malchut in her. Meaning, as explained, that that degree of Nukva that he took as a deposit from Upper Ima during his Ibur, it is included in the Nukva of the Guf of Zeir Anpin, meaning in the Malchuyot in his nine Sefirot, which are the BON in him. Where the Bechina of Ibur, he measures for the separated Nukva on the Bechina of Malchut of his own Nefesh. And the Bechina of Yenika, he measures for her over the Malchut of his own Ruach, and so on, until he brings back to her the entire degree he had received for her. Therefore, in each and every Sefira of Zeir Anpin, she has the Bechina of the Sefira of the Nukva. Meaning, on the side of BON of the Sefira, which is called the Nukva of his Guf. And remember that.

M. Laitman:  Ten points or ten individual Malchuyot, which are in Zeir Anpin.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (06:35) We said that every Bechina has ten Sefirot, and here it seems as if Zeir Anpin does not have Malchut.

M. Laitman: There are nine Sefirot, Malchut completes it to ten. It's a sign. It's not that there isn't. Again, we need to understand that we're talking about an acting desire. We're talking about Zeir Anpin of VAK, he has no Rosh, and so on. How can it be that there is a spiritual structure that has no Rosh, Toch, Sof, and so on? We're talking about activation. It is in Chafetz Chesed. Chafetz Chesed, of course, is ten complete Sefirot, but they're such that they don't need a Rosh because they're Chafetz Chesed. Whatever will be, will be. On the contrary, you mustn't have a Rosh for Chafetz Chesed. If it is alone, no matter what, I'm in Chafetz Chesed. So, I need a Rosh in order to decide something? No, nothing. That's one thing. Other, I need a full, complete, strong Guf, body? No, I don't need the vessels of reception. Only of bestowal. Meaning, I have no Rosh, no head, and in the Guf I only have half. Can that be? No. But we're talking only about what is activated in action, in what is really working, and that's only a small part of the body, of the Guf. So he's saying, he has no Malchuyot, he has no lacks, he has no Kli. The Malchut that's outside of him completes him to ten. She becomes a Nukva in his body, completes in every Sefira of Sefira of Zeir Anpin, and at the end, she stands in the tenth Sefira. Because she is Chafetz Chesed, it's nothing. You can't receive anything from Him, you can't bestow anything to Him, that's how it is. Now, go and find how to activate it, because through it you can reach everything, if you can awaken him.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (09:15) Where are the ten Sefirot of Malchut?

M. Laitman: Malchut has that in the first place, because it's from the breaking of the vessels, and from then, it's in her.

Student: I understand that Zeir Anpin doesn't have a Rosh because he's Chafetz Chesed, and he doesn't have a Guf because he doesn't work with vessels of reception?

M. Laitman: No, he has a Guf, but half.

Student: Malchut, what does it mean that she's only one Sefira, supposedly?

M. Laitman: We'll say that soon, in a sec. I can't answer about the Malchut in a single sentence. Malchut is shattered, it has a single point in the state of VAK, and a Nekuda in ZON, and then she begins to get additions from below, from her shattered vessels, through, of course, an awakening from above. She gets a response from below that her vessels want to be corrected, and then she starts awakening Zeir Anpin towards correction. That's still ahead of us. That's exactly what there is here. Item four.

Reader: Item four, the words of The ARI.

Reading: (10:21) Indeed, before her upper nine Sefirot were revealed in her, they were all included in his nine Sefirot. It turns out that in each and every Sefira from the nine Sefirot of Zeir Anpin, she has the Bechina of one Sefira of Nukva. But she is only a tenth part in her, only, which is the Sefira of Malchut in her. And thus, the growth of Malchut does not happen at once. Rather, in many times she is corrected and grows bit by bit.

M. Laitman: So that's what it means, that she grows. Again, we need to understand, there's no more, no less than ten. When we even say a point in Malchut, it's a Partzuf, that its essence is a point. When we say VAK has no more than six vessels - ten, only their essence is like six, small. What, I don't have the small one, it doesn't have a head, a body, hands, and legs. Yes, he has all of that. We're talking about the essence of the Partzuf. Then there can be a point, or half of VAK, or three quarters, and so on. Three lines, one line, etc. It's all his expression, but the structure of it is the same structure. HaVaYaH must be. “I do not change the HaVaYaH.” Now, what is he saying here? That prior to its revelation of its ten Sefirot in her, oh yes, you need to know here that he says Malchut, sometimes he says the Keter in Malchut, and sometimes he says the Malchut in Malchut. So it depends how he calls it. Keter of the vessels, Malchut of the light. If Malchut only has a point, it's the point of Keter of the Kelim, and Malchut of the light.

Item five.

Reading: (12:30) Now we shall explain in length their general, what they mean, although there are many details. The purpose of her diminution is no less than one point included from ten.

M. Laitman: Meaning, now he's talking about the two of them together, and we'll clarify them in their length, how they connect together, Zeir Anpin and Malchut. Try and penetrate into this, try and like this, it's talking about us.

Reading continued: Even though there are many details, the purpose of her diminution is no less than one point included from ten, which is the last point of Malchut in her.

M. Laitman (Source Text/Commentary): (13:25) Interesting. The purpose of the diminution that she has in comparison to the purpose of growth, like he is, that's what Malchut has to be in these two points, to pay attention. We need to find ourselves, discover ourselves as a point, that there's nothing smaller than that, there's nothing lowly, loathsome, but still you need light in order to identify this situation. And from this point, you can reach the complete ten Sefirot in adhesion to the Creator. Look what he writes here. That it's the purpose of its diminishment, it has no more than one point included of Yud, of ten. Which is the final point of Malchut in her, and the purpose of the growth in her is that she'll have all of the ten Sefirot of hers, and she'll be with Zeir Anpin face to face, equal completely, and the two Melachim will use a single Keter, which is what the moon slandered, as known. Meaning, she must grow from one point to the ten Sefirot, to go through the entire path to be like Him, in the same height. Not only to be on the same height, but not to be dependent on Him, but to use his upper one, just like his upper, upper one in Bina, when there were two kings and a single Keter. Where is this? Below? “Ohr Pnimi.”

Reading: (15:32) The purpose of her diminishment is no less than one point included from ten, which is her last point of Malchut.

M. Laitman: This is talking about the connection between us, if we attain this connection, if we begin to grow it, to increase it, to nourish it, then that is what we need to go through. The connection between us is that very same Partzuf of Malchut, and we need to go through it, all the stages that we're learning about now.

Reading continued: We're not talking about her the beginning of her emanation of Malchut. Because in the beginning she was the Bechina of the Shatrin of BIA Aznon, which is the seventh Melech of the seven Melechim who died. It is known that they were all broken Panim and Achor, face and back. Therefore all that was left in her Atzilut, nothing remained in her Atzilut, not even one point. Rather what we're talking about is the Bechina of the permanent Mochin in Atzilut. Because even after the correction of Atzilut, they were not corrected in their essence, rather only in the Kelim of Panim of the seven Melechim, meaning as they emerged during the Katnut of Nekudim from the Bechina of Nikvey Eynaim de SAG de AK, when they had only six Kelim, HBD, HGT, until the Chazeh. And their ending point which is the Nekuda of Chazeh is regarded as the seventh Melech, which is the Bechina of Nukva de Zeir Anpin. And from the perspective of the lights in them, the seven Melechim are regarded as HGT NHY. And the ending point under the Yesod is regarded as the seventh Melech, which is the Bechina of Nukva de Zeir Anpin. And they are regarded as Kelim of the Panim of Nekudim, because there was no flaw in them on their own accord. Because the light of the Eynaim of SAG de AK corrected them in that wholeness of HGT NHY like they emerged during the Katnut. And a matter of their shattering was not because of themselves. Rather, since during the Gadlut of Nekudim, those seven Melechim expanded and connected with the Kelim of BYA, who already emerged below the Parsa de Atzilut there. And these Kelim were unfit to receive the upper light because of Tzimtzum Bet, the second restriction, which rejected them outside of Atzilut. And because of that they are called Kelim de Achor, as written in Part 7. And therefore they broke and died. And they also caused shattering of the Kelim of Panim, which are the Kelim of HGT NHY.
