הזה"ק (ויצא דף ל"ח, ובהסולם אות ע"ה) שואל וזה לשונו, "אמר רבי יהודה כיון שהקב"ה הבטיח לו כל זה, שאמר לו, והנה אנכי עמך, ושמרתיך בכל אשר תלך, למה לא האמין. אלא אמר, אם יהיה אלקים עמדי. ומשיב, אלא אמר יעקב, חלום חלמתי והחלומות, מהם שהם אמיתיים, ומהם שאינם אמיתיים. ואם יתקיים, אז אדע שחלום אמיתי הוא. ועל כן אמר, אם יהיה אלקים עמדי, כמו שחלמתי, והיה ה' לי לאלקים", עד כאן לשונו.

ולהבין את הקושיא וכמו כן התירוץ בדרך העבודה, מה שנוגע לנו: ומהו חלום, ומהי ההבטחה שהבטיח ה', ומהו התנאי, שיעקב אמר, "אם יהיה אלקים עמדי, והיה ה' לי לאלקים", אז הוא יקיים את הנדר.

ובכדי לבאר הכל בדרך העבודה, צריכים להקדים את מטרת הבריאה, שברא הקב"ה שהיא להטיב לנבראיו. וזה נקרא שהקב"ה הבטיח לתת להנבראים כל טוב. ובודאי צריכים להבין זה, שהבטיח להנבראים לתת להם כל טוב, בטח שאין הכוונה, שיתן לבני אדם, אלא אותו הטוב שמתאים לבני אדם.

למשל, אנו רואים, מהו הטוב אצל חתולים, שבזמן שתופסים עכברים ואוכלים אותם, זהו הטוב שלהם. ואיננו יכולים לומר, שהטוב הזה, שנותן לשקצים ורמשים, יתן לבני אדם. וגם בבחינת המדבר, הנקרא אדם, יש גם בהם, שאין להם מושג יותר, ממה שנקרא טוב אצל דומם, צומח, חי. ובטח לבעלי חי, למשל ניתן את הטוב, המתאים להם. ובאם ניתן להם טוב אחר, נקרא זה רע. היות שאין להם כלים, שירגישו בזה טעם. וכן צומח, וכן בחינת דומם. היינו, שבבחינת מדבר, יש להבחין בו עצמו דומם, צומח, חי.

וזהו כמו שכתוב בהקדמה לספר הזוהר (דף י"א אות ל"ג) וזה לשונו, "וצריך שתדע, שכל נחת רוח של יוצרנו יתברך, להנות לנבראיו, היא במידה שהנבראים ירגישו אותו יתברך, שהוא המשפיע, והוא המהנה אותם, אשר אז יש לו שעשועים גדולים עמהם, כאב המשתעשע עם בנו החביב לו, בה במידה שהבן מרגיש ומכיר גדולתו ורוממותו של אביו, ואביו מראה לו כל האוצרות שהכין בשבילו".

ובהאמור רואים אנו, שמטרת הבריאה להטיב לנבראיו, היא שישיגו את התגלות האלקות. ולא היתה הכוונה לתענוגים גשמיים, כי כל התענוגים גשמיים, שמזה ניזונים הנבראים מטרם שבאים להשיג כלים דהשפעה, הם רק, כמו שכתוב בזה"ק, שהם רק נהירו דקיק, שנפלו ניצוצי קדושה בין הקליפות. זהו כל חיותם. מה שאין כן עיקר הטוב והעונג הוא מלובש בתורה ומצות.

אולם בכדי שהתענוג, מה שהבורא רוצה לתת להנבראים, יהיה בשלימות, נעשה תיקון הצמצום, שהוא ההסתר על הטוב והעונג שישנם בתו"מ. (אלא בכדי שיהיה קיום העולם, מטרם שיוכלו לקבל את הטוב, שיהנו בינתיים מההארה דקיק, שנפלה בין הקליפות. ומזה ניזונים העולם).

וע"י ההסתר יש מקום, שהאדם יתרגל עצמו, שכל מה שהוא עושה יהיה לשם שמים, מטעם שהוא רוצה לשמש את המלך, בלי שום תמורה, היות שהוא מקיים תו"מ בלי שום התגלות אור, המכונה הטוב והעונג האמיתי.

ואחרי שיסתגל שכל כוונתו תהיה בעמ"נ להשפיע, שאז, כשמקבל את הטוב והעונג, לא תהיה בזה בחינת נהמא דכסופא, משום שלא מקבל את הטוב והעונג בשביל תועלת עצמו, כי לצורך עצמו הוא מוכן לוותר על התענוגים, אלא היות שהוא רוצה להנות לבורא, ועכשיו הוא רואה, אין שום דבר שחסר להבורא, אלא ענין אחד חסר עדיין, היינו שיוכל להוציא את מטרתו לפועל, היינו שהנבראים יקבלו ממנו. ומשום זה הוא הולך עכשיו לקבל את הטוב, בכדי להנות להבורא, כי רק זה יכול הקב"ה לקבל מהתחתונים, היינו, שיקבלו ממנו טוב ועונג. והיות שהבורא רוצה להנות לנבראים, לכן הנבראים גם כן צריכים להנות להבורא, שזה נקרא השתוות הצורה.

אולם בכדי להגיע להשתוות הצורה, הנקרא שכל המעשים יהיו לשם שמים, זוהי יגיעה גדולה, מטעם שהיא נגד הטבע. היות שהאדם נברא עם רצון לקבל הנאה לעצמו, המכונה רצון לקבל לתועלת עצמו. ואומרים להאדם, שהוא צריך לבטל את הרצון לקבל הזה, וצריך לרכוש כלי חדש, המכונה רצון להשפיע. אז לא כל אדם זוכה לזה, היינו שיוכל לרכוש את הכלים האלו, המתאימים שישרה בתוכם אור עליון.

ובכדי שהאדם יוכל להגיע לידי רצון להשפיע, אמרו חז"ל (קידושין ל') "בראתי יצר הרע, בראתי לו תורה תבלין". שדוקא ע"י התורה הוא יכול להגיע לכלים דהשפעה. וכמו כן יש מאמר חז"ל (סוכה נ"ב) וזה לשונו, "אמר רבי שמעון בן לוי, יצרו של אדם מתגבר עליו בכל יום ומבקש להמיתו, שנאמר, צופה רשע לצדיק ומבקש להמיתו, ואלמלא הקב"ה עוזרו, אינו יכול לו, שנאמר, ה' לא יעזבנו בידו". שהכוונה על הרצון לקבל הזה, היות שהוא נפרד מהבורא, כידוע שברוחניות שינוי צורה מבדיל ברוחני לחלקהו לשנים.

וכמבואר בהקדמה לספר הזוהר (דף ה' אות י') וזה לשונו, "אכן יש להבין מקודם ענין מציאות מהות הטומאה והקליפות מה היא. ותדע, שזה הרצון לקבל הגדול, שאמרנו, ונתן אותו (היינו הרצון לקבל) במערכת העולמות אבי"ע דטומאה, ונמצאו בגללו נפרדים מהבורא יתברך ומכל העולמות דקדושה. ומטעם זה מכונות הקליפות בשם מתים, כמו שכתוב זבחי מתים. וכן הרשעים, הנמשכים אחריהם". כמו שאמרו חז"ל, "הרשעים בחייהם נקראים מתים". כי הרצון לקבל המוטבע בהם, בהפכיות הצורה מקדושתו יתברך, מפרידן מחיי החיים, והן רחוקות ממנו יתברך מקצה אל הקצה, כי הוא יתברך אין לו שום ענין של קבלה, אלא רק להשפיע לבד, והקליפות אין להן שום ענין של השפעה רק לקבל לעצמן להנאתן בלבד. ואין הפכיות גדולה מזה.

ובהאמור, בכדי שהאדם תהיה לו בחינת השתוות הצורה, בכדי שיוכל לקבל את הטוב והעונג מהבורא, האדם צריך יגיעה גדולה ועזרה גדולה מהשמים, שיוכל לנצח את הרע שבקרבו, שהוא הרצון לקבל, ושתהיה לו היכולת לשמש עמו על הכוונה עמ"נ להשפיע. ויש הרבה אנשים שלא זוכים לזה. ומי שכן זוכה לזה הוא ממש מעשי ניסים.

ועכשיו יש לבאר מה ששאלנו, מה שכתוב אצל יעקב, מה בא זה ללמדנו את דרך ה', במה שהתורה מספרת לנו את חלומו, ואת הנדר מה שנדר, וגם מה שהנדר היה על תנאי, במה שאמר אם יהיה.

הנה הכתוב אומר, "ויקץ יעקב משנתו, ויאמר, ויקח את האבן אשר שם מראשותיו". ידוע שאבן נקרא מלכות. ומלכות נקראת אמונה. היינו, שזה שהאדם רוצה להבין, והבנה נקרא ראש, אז הוא לוקח את ההבנה הזו, שיש בראשו, ומניחה מתחת לראשו, היינו שהאמונה הוא שם בראש, וההבנה והדעת שלו הוא שם מתחת לראשו. נמצא אחר זה הסדר, האמונה למעלה והדעת למטה.

וזה מכונה אמונה למעלה מהדעת. וזה יכולים לפרש את מה שכתוב, "ויקח מאבני המקום וישם מראשותיו". וזה שכתוב, "וישם אתה מצבה", פירושו, שהאמונה למעלה מהדעת, עשה אותה שזה יהיה המצב שלו. מצבה מלשון מצב. זאת אומרת, שהמצב שלו, שהוא רוצה לבנות את הבנין דקדושה, יהיה בבחינת אמונה למעלה מהדעת.

וזה שכתוב "וידר יעקב נדר לאמור, אם יהיה אלקים עמדי, וכו', והיה ה' לי לאלקים".

והזה"ק הקשה על זה, למה לא האמין, אלא אמר, אם יהיה. ומשיב, אלא אמר יעקב, חלום חלמתי והחלומות, מהם שהם אמיתיים, ומהם שאינם אמיתיים, ואם יתקיים, אז אדע שחלום אמיתי הוא.

ויש לפרש ענין עולם הזה ועולם הבא על דרך העבודה. הנה עולם הזה דומה לחלום, דהיינו, איך שפותרים אותו כך הוא מתקיים, כמו שאמרו חז"ל (ברכות נ"ה) "כל החלומות הולכין אחר הפה", שנאמר "כאשר פתר לנו כן היה". ובפשטות קשה להבין דבר זה, היינו איך שאנשים פותרים אותו כך הוא מתקיים. ולפי זה, למה לי ליישב תענית על חלום רע. יש עצה פשוטה, שיכולים ללכת לאנשים, שהם ידידיו, ובטח יפתרו את החלום לטוב, כמו שאמרו חז"ל, כל החלומות הולכין אחר הפה. ובטח שיש תרוצים על דרך הפשט.

ונפרש זה על דרך העבודה. הנה הקב"ה ברא את העולם להטיב לנבראיו. ובכדי שלא תהיה בחינת בושה בהטוב ועונג, לכן נמצא האדם בעולם הזה, שהוא מקום עבודה, שיוכל להשיג כלים דהשפעה, שע"י יקבלו הכל בעמ"נ להשפיע, שע"י זה אין כאן מקום לבושה, מטעם שהוא מקבל הכל מטעם מצוה, כנ"ל.

וזה שאומר הזה"ק, "הקב"ה הבטיח ליעקב כל טוב". אבל זה דיבר אליו בדרך חלום, היינו בעולם הזה, שדומה לחלום, היינו לפי שאדם פותר אותו, היינו אם האדם הולך לפי דעת תורה (כמו שכתוב במאמר ה', תשמ"ז), נמצא, שנותן פתרון טוב על מה שהקב"ה הבטיח, בזה שברא את העולם על הכוונה להטיב לנבראיו. אבל הבטחה זו היא בבחינת חלום, היינו שע"י זה שהאדם יפתור את ההבטחה דלהטיב, שהוא מה שהבורא רוצה להשפיע, הוא יתן את הפתרון, כמו שהבורא הוא המשפיע, כמו כן האדם גם כן יעבוד הכל רק בעמ"נ להשפיע.

וזה נקרא שההבטחה שהבטיח הבורא להטיב היא, באם האדם יתן גם כן הפתרון, היינו להטיב, שזהו כנ"ל, כמו שאמרו חז"ל "מה הוא רחום אף אתה רחום". מה שאין כן אם אין האדם נותן את הפתרון על החלום, אלא מה שהקב"ה הבטיח, הוא להשפיע לנבראיו. והוא רוצה את ההיפך, היינו שהוא רוצה במקבל בעמ"נ לקבל.

נמצא, שהוא פותר אותו לרע. היינו שאין הטוב, מה שהקב"ה רוצה לתת, אינו יכול להתקיים, מסיבת שהוא לא הכין את הכלים המתאימים, שתהיה היכולת שהטוב והעונג יכנס בתוכם, היינו שלא יהיה פירוד ביניהם, כנודע ששינוי צורה מפריד את הרוחני לשתיים.

ובהאמור נבין מדוע החלום הולך אחר הפתרון. הכוונה היא, שמה שהבטיח הקב"ה להטיב לנבראיו תלוי בעבודת האדם בעולם הזה, שעולם הזה דומה רק לחלום, והכל תלוי בהפתרון, איך שפותרים אותו. היינו, אם הפתרון בעולם הזה הוא לטוב, היינו שהאדם, כל עשיותיו הם להטיב, היינו להשפיע, אז ההבטחה שהבורא הבטיח להטיב, תתקיים. ואם הפתרון הוא לפי יצר הרע, אז החלום, שהוא העבודה בעולם הזה, שה' יתן את הטוב, אי אפשר להתקיים.

ולפי זה יכולים להבין מה שאמרו חז"ל, "כל החלומות הולכים אחר הפה". הכוונה היא, אם האדם מדבר עם הפה שלו דברים טובים, היינו שאומר תמיד, שצריך לעשות מעשים טובים, שהוא הכל לשם שמים ולא לתועלת עצמו, אז מקוים החלום הטוב, היינו שהוא זוכה, כמו שאמרו חז"ל (ברכות י"ז) "עולמך תראה בחייך ואחריתך לחיי עולם הבא".

מה שאין כן אם הפה שלו פתר רע, שהוא שאומר, שצריכים לדאוג בשביל תועלת עצמו, אז הוא חלום רע, היות שפתר את החלום לרע. היוצא מזה, מה שהבטיח הקב"ה לתת את הטוב והעונג, נתן בתור חלום, היינו בתוך עולם הזה, הדומה לחלום.

ועתה נוכל להבין את התנאי, ואת הנדר, ומהי החשיבות של הנדר, איזה גדלות יש בהנדר, שאמר, אם ה' יקיים כל מה שהבטיח לו, ומה יהיה אז דבר גדול הוא יעשה, כמו שכתוב, "והאבן הזאת, אשר שמתי מצבה, יהיה בית אלקים".

ובהאמור יוצא, שמה שכתוב, "ויקח מאבני המקום", יהיה הפירוש, שלקח את האבנים, היינו ההבנות והשכלים והדעות מהמקום. שלכל אחד יש דיעה משלו. ולפי ההבנה של כל אחד, יש לו ללכת בדרכי ה' רק במקום שהשכל מחייב, ולא ללכת נגד הדעת. ואומרים, לכן ניתנה לנו דעת, שנבין מה שאנו עושים. והוא ראה, הגם שיש לכל אחד שכל אחר, אבל הוא ראה, שה', בזה שברא את הנבראים בטבע של רצון לקבל, אין כאן אלא דעה אחת, היינו אהבה עצמית, אלא שכל אחד מוציא את אהבה עצמית שלו בשכל מיוחד. אבל הצד השוה שבהם רצון לקבל ולא יותר. וזה כמו שכתוב, "ויקח את האבן, אבן אחת".

היינו כנ"ל, שהדעת, הנקראת אבן, "שם מתחת לראשו". ובראשו לקח אמונה. והדעת למטה מהאמונה. והנדר היה אם "אם יהיה אלקים עמדי", היינו שיזכה לבחינת קבלת פני השכינה וכמו שכתוב "והיה ה' לי לאלקים". ומכל מקום אני לא אקח זה לבסיס, אלא כל בנין בית אלקים שלי יהיה על בחינת אמונה למעלה מהדעת. וזה שכתוב "והאבן, אשר שמתי מצבה", כנ"ל "יהיה בית אלקים".

ועתה נבין את חשיבות הנדר, שאמר, שאם ה' יעזור לו לפתרון טוב, היינו שירכוש את הכלים דהשפעה המתאימים, ששם יתלבש השפע העליון, שזה נקרא קבלת פני השכינה, מכל מקום הוא רוצה לשמש רק מהאבן, שלקח מתחילה ועשה אותו שזה יהיה לו למצבה. היינו האבן, שהיה למטה מראשותיו. ואז הנדר היה, שאף על פי שיזכה ש"האלקים יהיה עמדי והיה ה' לי לאלקים", והאבן הזאת, אשר שמתי מצבה, יהיה בית אלקים. היינו, שהוא רוצה להישאר בבחינת אמונה, אפילו שיהיו לו כל הגילויים. נמצא, אמונה נוהגת בין בקטנות ובין בגדלות. ורואים מכאן את חשיבות האמונה, שהנדר היה, שאפילו בגדלות לא יזוז מהאמונה.
