Convention "World Kabbalah L'Am" - "Discovering Life in the Ten" - Lesson No. 6. Ascents and Descents
1. Rav’s Introduction: Ascent and descent that gives us our whole sense of life when we feel no changes in life we say it's just like death that there is nothing. we also see with this pandemic that we are being put to sleep kind of like being put into this sleepy life where we are without that many changes happening in the sense that we are being fixated to our apartments, to our homes, not moving so much. Probably because we need to identify new kinds of states in life, not ups and downs in the stock market, not ups and downs and some daily relationships that we might have that fill up our whole lives but rather ascents and descents of a different kind all together and that is why we have some sort of a lockdown upon us, we are being closed, locked. Out of that we need to start feeling a different kind of essence of life, a different kind of meaning of life that we will actually call life. Therefore, let's try to identify what are the two ups and downs, ascents and descents in life?
What do we call an ascent and what do we call it descend since before It cannot be an ascent unless we detect a descent before it. Also what is it about and respect the descent, because out of the descents we can find the ascent and build those. We also need to recognize there are no ascents, Creator arranged these huge descents for all of us in the beginning of creation by shattering the vessel. We by our participation we need to raise this vessel to a state that it was in but because we add to it, our participation, our search, our sense of emptiness, our prayer, our request, our difficulty by that we add into our feelings 620 times more than what we had, before the shattering of Adam we were in a stage where we didn't feel what it is, we existed but we had such Reshimot we had no business with. Only now after all of this preparations we can now feel descent and ascent, we try to rise by ourselves and then I go through descents to ascents and so on, this happens on level of still, vegetative and animate until it happens in the human who begins to feel what it means to be human and why am I alive, what for. You start scrutinizing these states by himself and sees how closer or farther he is from the meaning of being human.
So ups and downs build our whole sense of life and meaning of life, that is how we develop our vessels and senses of perception. We clarify what it means to be alive, to be dead, to fall, to rise and one cannot be without the other. Everything begins from the descent, the Creator shattered the vessel and made a preparation for all of our states. He determined that only by the darkness, the nights, the sense of detachment separation from him, from the goal, from the means, the friends and only from there, we can begin to regroup ourselves, collect the shattered pieces and reach this great ascent. This final ascent, so we need to recognize there's no ascent without descents that precedes it and the Creator prepared it for us and for us there's no ascent without detecting the descent and determining that it is for us to rise above It. Meaning the Creator prepares our descent so we have something to rise above, to feel that we want to transform our states from disconnection, to connection, from hate to love. In this way we will identify correctly what is descent and what is ascent. It's not according to our ego but it is according to the data that we need to put together towards connection, towards a complete vessel that we need to discover. This is what leads us to the general correction, so ups and downs I would say differently, I would say downs and ups. This is the process, the desired process we go through where according to the number and pace and intensity of ups and downs, the bigger, the faster the better and accordingly we advance towards the final correction. Each one of us has a set quota of ups and downs that he needs to go through in order to connect to the general vessel and same with the 10 and several tens and everyone. Meaning in these ups and downs we need to be counting both the intensity of the ascent and descent which is afterwards as we build Partzuf, the pace is also important for us, the frequency.
So that we don't go through a process where each state of ascent or descent is stretched out or takes a long time, in spirituality there is no time. Every state has a moment of appearance and right after that the next state needs to appear so let's try to work with the same intensity frequency between us so that between us so that we don't leave room between ascents and descents, even during the descent ordering the ascents, everything is done to just quickly identify what is this state and how can it benefit the next state. Try to relate correctly to the ascents and descents that they all come from above and the pace depends upon us. Everything was set up by the upper Force and we have to go through both ascents and descents but it is all up to our preparation, always. If we relate these ascents and descents not to the state that I feel but to what belongs to the general process of the whole of humanity and the Creator who is the goal.
Then to me each moment, each state becomes a good state on the way, on the path and so each and every moment I just need to be more attuned and longing and approaching the final state. That all of the ascents and descents will all be included together and out of them, those two states as a single state, this is called darkness shines as light. What else, don't forget that both the sense that both descents and ascents, designed by the Creator and we have to try to cling to him in this ascents as well but mostly in the descents. If I cling to him each and every moment in both the descent and the ascent and by that I transform the descents to an ascent. By this I realize this whole process that he set up for me and I become bonded with him, adhered to him and all of those states that he prepared for me. The main thing for me is the adhesion, is the sense of adhesion with him and it doesn't matter in what states. I don't count, I don't weigh, I don't measure the states according to my feelings, but rather according to how much I can cling to him and then it turns out that the descents help me more to bond with the Creator and so they themselves become ascents.
What else do I have to say here, how do of the states that we detect build and build the ups and downs in our emotions, the ups and downs and adhesion with the Creator, by that we turn darkness to light. So for me the descents, the separation, the disconnection, is more beneficial for adhering to the Creator than the ascent. So I want to feel how far I am, which to me is an opportunity. To show the Creator how I yearn for him, how I want to be closer to him and bonded with him, so by that I turn darkness to light. The emotional darkness to a light of adhesion, the darkness shines this light. I don't cancel the darkness in the negative states and descents but rather on top of them I bring my relation to the Creator as I justify these states and I am thankful for him. But thankful for them and by that I show my attitude of adhesion to him, in the worst states that my will to receive goes through and then I see that my will to receive his helpmate against me.
Meaning that it gives me an opportunity to specifically from seeing how much it is against me, I can show that I am in favor, what else can we say about ascents and descents we should also say here that there is a quality and quantity aspect and also the frequency of ascents and descents, all of that we will have to examine and see how beneficial they are for us. as we increase them, we can bring ourselves to the required corrections and also which is the main thing. How can we help each other in the ascent and descent as one shall help his friend, this is the main thing. Even though the exit from the descents to the ascent happens by the upper Force, meaning the Creator takes us out of the darkness into the light, yet we can be very much assisted by the friends here. And it is not sufficient that we learn what is darkness and light and we rise above our feeling of good or bad to a discernment that is closer to us and the Creator or farther and more separation between us. Meaning we change our measurements, changing our measurements of light and darkness to advance. Finding what is day and what is night, darkness and light in the eyes of the Creator meaning that night is separation and shattering and day means connection and love.
So, similarly we to determine this in our feelings of the relationship between us and Him, not the feelings that we have in our bodies, in our will to receive whether it feels good or bad, but that I raised myself to a discernment of am I close to the Creator or the ten, or God-forbid the opposite am I far from Him. When I transform myself from a beastly bodily feeling to a spiritual goal oriented feeling, I see myself advancing towards the goal and accordingly I can count my degrees of ascent. The more we give an example to each other, one shall help his friend how to exit the bodily discernment to spiritual discernment in both the descent and the ascent and also the means to convert the descent to an ascent in that there's no way to transform it besides determining a different kind of feeling, a different kind of assessment. It could be that I'm in complete darkness when it comes to my body but with it I can feel that I am in a bright light, ascents in ascent, on the feeling of my soul. This is called faith above reason, that as much as Malchut is in darkness Bina above it and then Keter can actually be filled with light, what else can we say this is our whole life, our whole work.
We can also say that by envy less than honor how can we quickly give the right shape to every descent and every ascent when I look at the friends and see that they are working on it specifically in order to create the right portrait, the right picture, the right discernment of the sense and ascents what are descents exactly and accordingly what should the ascents be, so when I see them try and make efforts in trying to determine everything by the power of faith above reason, meaning it's not about whether I feel good or bad but how much I am getting closer to the friends and the Creator. By looking at them in this condition, it gives me strength and by one shall help his friend so we can build the vessel of the soul. We need to further and further show each other awakening, inspiration. With regards to the ascent and descent, how much we want to identify them correctly, purposefully, and the more I understand that the descent means to be far from the friends and far from the Creator, far from bestowal and the ascent is specifically when I try through my work with the friends one shall help his friend as I see that there are all trying and they themselves not so not in states of strength, but they show me above their strength that they are drawn to bestowal and connection and that I see that my look at them and I am ashamed of how I am and I immediately correct myself. Then I'm also drawn to connection with them and then they look at me and see that I am trying and making real efforts and they learn from me. They increase their efforts and this way we each help each other.
This is how we quickly come out of these states of shattering that the Creator prepared for us to begin with and this way in our connection between us and with Him, we take ourselves out of separation into connection between us and with Him. So ultimately, I would say that all of the descents and the ascents depend on the frequency that we can go through because we mustn't be in any state for more than a moment. There is no more than just one moment in life, he writes about this in a few places, Baal HaSulam and so we have to try to be stingy in this respect. We have come to a certain state, good or bad it doesn't matter, we have to immediately use it in order to reach the next state. The next state is on our part greater adhesion even though on the way there we fall in order to develop a desire for greater adhesion, a broken desire and then our direction is always towards greater adhesion. With the friends in the group, we can find more qualities, states, discernment for correction, what else can we add to each other.
This is how we advance, if so we can prepare for ourselves all of the descents, the falls, the detachments and always advance in our inclination and tendency to come out of our ego, to escape our ego. Then most importantly in all of these states whatever they are, we always have to be working together and with the Creator. That we hold each other and all of us are holding onto the Creator and then when He puts us through all of these states, these ups and downs like in a roller coaster. This way we quickly come to the goal and on all of this roller coaster ride up and down becomes joyful to us, like kids going on a roller coaster, they laugh and it's frightening on one hand but on the other hand it is exciting, it is thrilling and they want to be in that so we need to do the same. We need to be developing in this like children, this is the way to go through descents and ascents in a way that we ultimately appreciate the descents as we do the ascents. This takes us to a complete Zivug, coupling between us and the Creator. Amen.
2. S. (25:51) How during the time of darkness can we hold on to None Else Beside Him?
R. You can't hold onto the Creator if you don't hold on to the friends and only with the friends if you hold onto them, then it is clear to you whether you are in a state where you hold onto each other just like a gang on the street, or you are advancing in the right direction of finding the connection between you, above the ego, where you want to find the force that connects you, that builds you, that gives birth to you and nurtures you. Most important is the connection between you and that this connection will become purposeful. That is what we need to talk about and this is what we need to discuss. We are gradually coming to it. We will soon be talking about it increasingly more, you will see that it is just a result of all of our preparations so far.
3. S. (27:20) In the beginning you spoke about this feeling that you feel like 620 times greater pleasure, I didn't understand if we could do this in our nature or if we could enter some other nature, I can't even imagine what it is to feel 620 times more.
R. This clearly is all in our nature; it is in everyone's nature and ultimately we find that we are pieces of a single body and when we join each other we feel more of the life in this collective body where we begin to feel its vitality and our life in it. The more we connect between us the more we feel this whole body is similar to a baby, that he doesn't feel his legs and his hands, he doesn't know how to activate them. But as he grows, he starts grabbing some things in his hands, starts walking a little bit, starts doing other things. Same with us, gradually in the connection between us, we will start finding different movements, different qualities in us and this is how we will advance, don't worry we won't forget about you you are with us. Most important is the connection, our tendencies to connect us just like we are trying to put together the broken pieces and establish our body as one single body for all, to make it alive as soon as possible and conscious of being one. Accordingly we will see that all of humanity is beginning to awaken towards that and without that it feels that it is falling apart and losing the livelihood that it had and it doesn't find any new kind of life. This is a very dangerous state first of all because typically it leads to crisis and wars, but we need to help them find what life really is, otherwise we don't find why and what for, we should be living, soon they will have a sigh as to why are we living, what for and not finding any reason for any purpose and we need to really take part in sorrow that gradually appears in them and as the messengers of the Creator, we need to explain to them that it is like Baal HaSulam writes that there is a beautiful goal to all the people of this world.
3. S. (30:47) What is adhesion with the Creator during the descent can you explain better, the transition that you described?
R. During the descents, when I lose the purpose of life, the light of Life, the goal of life it is not so on fire in me, not so dominant, I even feel like there are forces pushing me away from the path. It is like a baby who is in his mother's hands and then he feels like he may fall so he grabs her more tightly, this is the state of descent that I should have, that I feel a strong need and obligation to hold on to the group. Why do we need a descent? So that we can grab a hold of the group stronger because otherwise I will fall, my egoistic desire rises and out of my ego I have to understand that if I don't grab a hold of the friends, if I'm not with them, I am lost. Everything depends upon my preparation and theirs, that we are looking at each one and saying is he going to fall from the body of the ten like a baby that may God forbid fall off of his mother's hand and like that mother, we need to create this collective force that holds the friends. The individual force that he feels as a fear that he might fall will become an even stronger holding, grip on the group.
4. S. (32:47) What ups and downs are we experiencing when relating to the general correction when working in the ten how do they relate to each other?
R. That in every descent I need to find how I am different from others. What does this descent add to me and how much I can now add strength to be more connected to them. I am talking about things that a person already feels, already is aware of, what the descent needs to be, what the ascent needs to be. But we are also going to states where we can't identify anything and we are confused and are just thrown out between these days. But through the group and by going back to the lesson, back to the articles and back to the discussions with the friends I need to receive from them a strengthening, it is like a rope thrown at me and then I can see how I can be more deeply connected to them internally with that rope. Then each descent gives me a revelation of how much I am not yet properly connected and then I can further advance into connecting with them, that is why and what the descents are for to show us the disconnections between us, the general shattering.
5. S. (35:10) How not to harm those closest to our family during a descent, how to help each other?
R. If I am connected with the group then we, in our ten, we need to be in such relationships between us, that any state that is a descent will be immediately felt in the ten and the ten will help the person come out of it and the other way around. Every time I am in a descent I am adding to my ten, I am trying to give additional strength, find an additional strength, all of us, some are going through an ascent since some are going through a descent but all together we advance. Some are going up and some are going down like a wheel where part of it is always going up and part is going down. Or like the Wheatstone Bridge in electricity where the plus and minus work together we're ultimately in the ten we straightened everything in a sense that we are moving forward towards the goal and you can't even say about our ten that it is going up or down, because it is both, but all together it is forward and it is not because we are not working, we are working hard but these compensate for those. Those complement those and that is how we have this direct current, so to speak. This movement forward for that we have to be more tightly connected in the group. The ups and downs, we can use them correctly only if we are connected in the ten otherwise it is individual ascents and descents that almost advance the person but only to or the need to finally realize them correctly in the ten.
6. S. (37:42) During the ascent and descent in the ten is this when we are building the middle line of the ten?
R. Yes of course, if we do that these people and those people these in ascents and those in descent switch time, try to connect between us and move forward to detect the Creator between us more and more and by that we create the middle line that we always advance towards this is exactly the whole method. I really hope that we will study this less theoretically but more out of the action, out of connection out of finding this between us and then you during the day will try to realize this. Then we will understand what they are writing even without reading it and learning about it in the lessons, we will learn it from life. Just like a person who grows from getting into life and not reading about it. Imagine how many books you have to read in order to get an impression of your current daily life. There is no such thing, it all comes to us through practical learning as it is a practical method.
7. S. (39:40) Should we accept the middle line or as faith above reason?
R. If you are connected in the ten you need to be advancing in the middle line where all of this ascents and the descents that you feel, each one individually or together that you all feel that it joins the movement forward. It is like you are in a boat and everyone is paddling with his paddle, so each one moves it towards himself or towards the other direction but altogether you feel both moving forward. You feel the general movement in addition to each and everyone's individual movements, just like in the boat, try it. Try to work this way in the ten and you will see how it also inspires you, giving you strength that you feel that we need the Creator. Because we are making the movements but who is directing our movements, our general direction. Someone has to sit there and tell us where to go, what to do and then we start seeing that it gives us a tempo, a collective rhythm for all of us and then we become a Partzuf that works with both direct light and reflected light and advances. We will talk about this more later. It is a wonderful thing that the person is going through and the group is going through, with the group becoming this part of creation that manifests the Creator's desire. He gives us the rhythm, He gives us the direction and we just have to do this mutual action between us under His direction.
8. S. (42:30) How does the ten working with both the negative and the positive states give us the space to be above them both?
R. I don't see negative states, I see them all as positive like the Wheatstone Bridge, that's a minus becomes plus, meaning it becomes direct current, the minus becomes the AC and the direct current and the AC, alternative current, is also direct current. Then there is no difference between plus and minus. So we have to use it correctly, artistically, creatively to treat both the plus and the minus. If you talk to painters, sculptors, people who are filmmakers, people who create anything, writes, they will tell you you can't have plus without my minus, you have to have drama with joy. Our descents are in order to show our connection, our willingness, how much we justify the Creator, what He prepared for us. God forbid we don't want to give up the darkness and the resistance. You remember the example of the old man who looks down, looking for what other deficiencies he can find because without it he can advance, this is called an old man who acquires because he knows that this is how to advance.
S. What is it that actually, when we're working with what is given, how does it pull us above it that we start to be able to work with everything and then it seems like something is pulling us above it so we start to have ....
R. The group doesn't pull you sir, that is why you're alone, alone you are drowning and that is it, you have no recourse for advancing because if it is not in the group, you can't move forward. If you're not in the group, your ascents and descents are beastly like a cow, like any person who feels ups and downs, you feel it in your relative to your ego. Only when you detect them through the connection in the ten, only then are they called spiritual ascents and descents that you advance by caring about the ascent in the group, the ascent of the group itself that you are serving it. For the time being when you are asking me you are asking me only individually so you will get nothing out of it. You will continue another ten years like that and nothing will come out of it. You must begin to look between you with the ascent and descent in the connection between you because the true descent is revealed as a shattering in the vessel that the Creator had broken and accordingly the ascent when you arrange yourself to connect the parts, the fragment of the broken vessel. Then on top of the shattering you discover the connection, from that you discover the Creator who did both the shattering and the connection. Otherwise it will not happen, it would then be speaking about two different things, I'm speaking about a spiritual state and you're speaking about your beastly individual state.
9. S. (47:31) It happens that you see in the ten states where the ten is very active, everyone is connecting, everyone participating actively in the zoom calls, that they are investing, and then there are times when you see they're not too active. How do you raise the intensity of the work here?
R. You have to use the ascent that the Creator is giving you to awaken them, that is it don't look into what they do or how they do it, or the way that they appear to you is what the Creator is showing you, where should you work and where should you contribute in the current state and how to improve it. Everything has to be examined according to what can I do about it. And facing you is always the Creator, either He is concealed behind the friends or some other form but it is always the Creator. As each and every state that you see is a state of work.
S. On the other hand, you say that we don't need to be looking at our state but the state of the ten?
R. Yes, you're looking at it as the state of the ten seeing how you can benefit them.
S. You said there's a difference between the rhythm and the depth of the descent. What can we influence?
R. We can't determine the depth but we can influence the pace, that's the most important thing is the pace that is up to us, the connection between us, the frequency between depends on the pace of the work between us. The connection determines the pace between us and the pace of advancement and the depth is different matter altogether. That's according to how much we work with the states that are revealed, that we don't determine only the pace that is more important to us. But it's more important for us to go through the descent not the ascent and not to remain in them any more than an instant.
S. You said we shouldn't be in a state any more than a moment.
R. A moment when you touch it, that is it you conclude the state and you must go to another state. There is no more than a moment, an instant.
10. S. (50:45) Does a change of mood during the day show a descent or ascent?
R. Change in one's mood should not affect us that much although it adds some influence, and there is no other choice as long as we are in this process called this world and the connection between us, between our bodies as we also have moods that belong to this world which were given to us so that we would be connected to the world and influence the world in this way. We have to try and rise above the mood and it all depends upon the degree of our connection with the ten.
11. S. (51:55) It's clear that everything starts from the shattering and the descent and it's understandable that we have to go through ups and downs with this process. What are the actions we have to take to discover the complete Kli, how can we put the pieces back together?
R. I'm going to have to give you the entire wisdom of Kabbalah according to the question of how to connect all the parts of the vessel you will have to read all of the articles written by Baal HaSulam and Rabash, but at least those who speak of connection in the group.
12. S. (52:57) If specific friends, who are regularly not participating in the ten because they are always in some descents too, we need to keep them in the ten or take them out?
R. That has to do with the organization and I am not speaking about that right now, if you distinguish these questions that you are asking, we don't know what to do with those friends, what kind of friend is he? I am in attack against the evil inclination, every day in a daily struggle, I come to reach an attack every day on the citadel where the Creator is building, in what are they friends? But you have to show them just how much you are together and how in truth you are going daily to attack the barrier and you wish to break through it and break it by attacking the Creator to help you do it in the connection between you, because the barrier exists between you which surrounds the heart of each and every friend. Then in this way you advance and show it to them and it is clear that they are not friends, they are like people who come into a theater and are with us every once in a while. I feel through the questions I'm getting sometimes that this person is just asking not out of real knowledge or feeling or participation but it is just like that. Of course, I am going to answer and I don't want him to leave entirely because there is hope that he is going to grow stronger. But this is not the correct way to participate, what can we do? We can wait, he's going to get hit over his head by his life, his destiny in his fate and he will see that he has no other choice but to connect stronger.
13. S. (55:44) From Malchut to Keter a person rises step after step, so in a descent a person falls strongly. What is the mutuality here, the reciprocity between the descent and the ascent because the descent is harder than the ascent.
R. You are saying something, the ascent is performing an act on top of the will to receive, on top of the difficulty to connect, meaning the coarseness that is the ascent which is why we need to connect between us in a new coarseness connecting us as one to perform an act of unification on top of this unification to begin to work with the Creator, one against the other and in that we are performing the action of the Partzuf. Of course, it is a difficult act of connection but ultimately it is done by the upper force who is arranging those things. In the study of the ten Sefirot, they discuss the prayers we have to raise the connections we have to make between us which is already speaking of a group who knows how to do this, to realize it and implement it. But in truth the ascent is more difficult, we fall not by ourselves but rather the Creator drops us to a deeper degree of coarseness, a new degree and from it we will climb to a higher ascent and of course in that sense, ascents are more difficult and descents are happening absent-mindedly. We receive additional ego where we have no ability to connect, no screen, no force of connection with fall and that's it. In each and every Partzuf we have the revelation of evil that we have to detect and we have to ask for correction over it, correct the screen, reflected light and then to build the degree of connection called the Partzuf.
14. S. (58:42) You said not to be stuck in the ascents or descents for more than a moment, that is clear coming out of the descent but what about coming out of the ascent?
R. The fact that I said that it is enough for us to be just a moment in the ascent, we realize it and that is it means that we are ready for the final goal, we are ready for additional connections, when we realize it is enough for us, we don't want to remain in it, that we want to add more and more. If you don't add, you fall. Then that feeling of yours, the state, the feeling of seemingly remaining in the same state you locate it as a descent, as a fall and this is how it is in the connection, in love. If you don't add it means that you are following and this is how it feels actually.
15. S. (01:00:04) Should I be active in the group in the ascent or in the fall as well?
R. In the feeling of descent we have to detect together as quickly as possible because in the descent we lose the connection between us, a descent means a new desire has entered between us, an egoistic broken desire that we have to detect ourselves as belonging to a ten, nevertheless. Since during the descent when the new will to receive comes in I don't feel my connection with the ten, so it turns out that I didn't even think about them throughout the day, why? Because a new will to receive, a broken will to receive has entered between us and I haven't done anything to locate it, to detect it, to work above it connecting above it. That is how we detect it and this is called a descent, I have to perform various acts to remain above it. What actually helps us is when we scheduled our actions according to the clock and not according to the desire because then our egoistic desire is broken and if it is according to the clock, we know we meet at this time, here we need to read an article, there we need to speak about something here. we need to do something else and in this way we advance mechanically until we are able to assemble more and more feeling that we are beginning to awaken emotionally, spiritually. The Creator sees that according to our efforts that we deserve to recuperate, revive ourselves and then He helps. Is that clear?
16. S. (01:02:48) For a week we've had two deaths of friends, one because of the virus and the other one left the ten, so how do we add that in our work towards the goal?
R. First of all you have to say that it is all up to you, that if you would be okay then those things wouldn't have happened, meaning that this has to encourage greater connection compared to what you had before, so think and speak about that. Because after all the difficult states that we are going through, are showing us how we are failing in what is passed over us because if everything had been good, we would feel even the current state that we feel ourselves in a descent for the sake of an ascent. So talk about it, you need to identify this state as a state of descent for a state of ascent and what to do with it. 17. S. (01:05:06) Please say how to use friends distancing for the progress of the ten, if he's not asking for help and he's not joining the meetings of the ten?
R. First of all you have to pray for him, to talk about how you wish to help him, to add his broken desire to you as if you are in one boat and he is there but he doesn't have the strength, not knowing what to do with his oar. That is how you have to help him and also ask him to show up, to tell him that you need him, to do you a favor, to show up, that gradually you have to try to draw him closer to participate.
18. S. (01:06:08) Is it a sign of indifference or moving away if a person doesn't respond?

No, from Egypt Pharaohs’ horsemen are coming, people who want to beat you up and kill you with your ego and then you are between the two, between the waves on one side and Pharaohs forces on the other side. What happens then, you still feel within you this force which is called Nachshon and with this force you jump into the water and whatever happens happens. The water becomes dry land and they cross through the sea as if it is dry land, this is the only way and this is why in the first sentence, he says it's only those people who say that they want to run away from the work but have nowhere to go, since nothing satisfies them. Those people do not walk out from the work and in the end those are the ones who achieve spirituality. So there is nothing special about this. It is not as frightening as it is shown right here as we might imagine, like little kids who feel this way. But still that situation is very special, the Torah tells us about all of the steps that a person experiences on the way from being a wild egoistic person until he equalizes himself with the Creator.

(02:30:48) I want to ask you about what is scaring us, you started the lesson by giving us an example that everything that is happening around us is like a roller-coaster, that it is scary but also gives inspiration and you have to experience this fear but in the same roller coaster there is a feeling that you don't want to fall off the roller coaster. But when you look at life around you, let's say what is happening with a friend, with your life, you see so much suffering, so many sick people, dead people, you ask yourself where to get the confidence from, where to get the confidence that you won't fly off of that train, the roller coaster and that all you're left with is the fear?
R. You have to try to connect yourselves to that cart, or wagon that you are riding on, do all those mountains, even though you come to states that frighten you, suddenly something is revealed to you. Suddenly you fall, suddenly you rise, your head is twisted in such a way, I remember being in such places. It is built in such a way that a person becomes afraid of what is going to happen, I don't want this. Some people really like it and some people are terrified by it regarding our matter, we understand that first of all you have to be connected to a place that when you go into that roller coaster and you are tied, as there is this lock that is placed on you and it ties you to the chair, you can't get away. You can't get out only at the final point when it is all over and it stops, then you can get up from the chair that is the only way. It is a relevant example, we have to tie ourselves to this place in such a way then we won't be able to get off midway, to run away. If we can open the bar midway and run away, by this we end our lives. This is what we have to build in each and every 10, it is the main thing that is before each and every act that we have to check if we have the strength to hold on to the 10 in whatever state comes to us. Did we set times for reading articles, for speaking among us, for all of the efforts that we will do in the lesson, well the lessons are mandatory. You see that from lesson 2 we are now going over the Congress lessons, we are advancing more toward practicing, doing it in practice oh, you have to do in your 10 what we learn in each and every lesson and then you will succeed.
