Part 2:
Baal HaSulam. One Commandment (Prophetic Success Is Speed)
Reading Excerpt “One commandment prophetic success is speed…”
1. R. (03:25) It sounds a bit strange how is it possible for a smaller one to succeed more than a greater one? but it's all because they're connected. We also see it to a certain extent in our life that there are great scientists who understand and know the top of the wisdom but explaining it to the broad public usually they can't do it, they're a bit strange, they’re a bit disconnected from ordinary life. So, as an example we can say that this is how it happens, that the smaller one may succeed more than the great, again all these states that were learning about it's a process until the final correction. When we reach the end of correction we will see how everything relates and there is no difference between one and the other. Everything is Incorporated in the whole system.
2. S. (04:46) Why does he need to mention that prophetic success is speed? What is it about speed that can help us advance?
R. Well this is still, we do depend on prophets and all corrections depend on the prophets. Prophets is a degree that exists together with us, not in this world, in general, in the whole system. These are very important degrees.
S. Then he mentions that these concise and clear things that we need a more developed generation, so we have to be wiser?
R. You will be the developed generation. That's why the darkness is so great because we have to reach the greatest light in revelation.
S. Are we able to understand more in this generation?
R. Yes, we're on the verge of great revelations.
3. S. (05:59) What does it mean that he says about the great prophet that he's better preparations? What does he mean?
R. It's because there's a verse “be careful of the poor because from them the Torah will come out”, meaning on the one hand it's certain that to the revelation depends on the Upper force and how much it comes down to the big vessels, on the other hand it very much depends on the expansion of the small thin vessels that are everywhere and they're actually the majority of the body of the soul of Adam HaRishon. Just like in our body, what do you have? You have your flesh and your two different conduits of all sorts. Meaning it depends on the material, because you have to adapt the material, the matter, of the will to receive to the Creator so the work here is not of the great ones. Of course they're related to that, but the actions ultimately happen in the smaller ones. There’s a verse “everyone shall know me from the biggest to the least”, so the whole work of the Wisdom of Kabbalah is to bring the knowledge of connection to everyone, and there we can actually succeed. That's why here he says, “the smaller may succeed more than the great.”
S. He gets two conditions to the success of the small one, to lean on the revelations of the previous prophets?
R. This means that we don't diverge from the path, we continue by the same principles of “Israel, the light and the Creator are one”, and connection between everyone as one man and one heart; a correction of the vessel of Hassadim and the vessel of the Hochma and all these conditions we have to keep and advance accordingly.
S. Sometimes they contradict each other, because to say things that are clear you have to simplify the message and you might deviate?
R. No, no, simplify doesn't mean that you diverge. I don't see any problem. I see a problem to bring them closer, to expose them to that, but I don't need to change anything.
4. S. (08:59) If you explain simple things, what does it mean that they're qualified to understand simple things? If I'm simplifying the idea of that message and bringing it simply, then the other side needs experience, to understand.
R. I don't really understand, and I don't really agree with what you're talking about. I think nonetheless you don't see that we're advancing, penetrating into the human mass. It seems to you we're not, and I see that we are, that's why I don't despair, that you're all so impressed by how can it be that I'm every day full of strength? Because I see how much it works, how it works, and I don't have any problem with that to continue every day. I also hope that you and you connect and also see that. In the meantime it's clear that not everyone sees but it's in our hands. It's in our hands.
S. So in what is humanity now qualified to understand the simple clear things in a simple way?
R. From above there is no limitation, no disturbance, everything depends on us. Whereas if you take a few thousand years back you'll see that during all these times there were limitations, concealments, it was really hard for a person who as he writes, that one who wishes to attain the Creator had to invest such-and-such time and in our days it's certainly easier. He writes it in the beginning of the intro to TES. We really do live in a very special time. We don't know how to appreciate it, but it's so.
5. S. (11:44) What's the difference between the small and the great, if we don't look at the results so why do we need…?
R. I don't understand how you're saying this, why do we need this or for why we need it? How should you know? You're like a baby philosophizing. He explains to you one thing, don't start expanding it to the whole world, why do we need it? We are given an opportunity to reach great things even though we're small, that's all he says, no more.
6. S. (12:29) You said that sometimes it's easier to advance so why did the kabbalists say that…?
R. They weren't talking about our time, they were talking about the time ahead of us when we reach the final corrections. There are very difficult corrections, that's why humanity will object to it, they won't want it, because then will come the obligation of connection to reach the common people. They’re opposite, very egoistic, they’ll have to connect between them and will have to reveal the Creator in between them, you understand how not simple that is? Try to do that with Russia and Ukraine today or other such places in the world, and you'll see how impossible it is. So, we’ll try to nonetheless disseminate the method of connection among everyone.
7. S. (13:56) What is the disturbance that will come on us upon receiving the prophecy from the Creator?
R. Only the disturbance in the connection between us, there is no other disturbance. We have to try between us in the ten and between the tens in the world, everybody, to connect to such an extent that the Creator will be revealed; then we can disseminate Him to the whole world, we will have force, knowledge, and success. Everything depends on Bnei Baruch being connected to such an extent that the Creator will be revealed, that's called “one who receives one״ that our desire as one, receives the Creator as one, then success is guaranteed.
8. S. (14:53) How can we understand this prophecy in the group and not miss out on it, because my friends they are so ready, the Wisdom is spilling out of them and I don't want to miss out on these things, teach us please how can we listen to the group and the prophecy in it?
R. Open your heart and everything will be okay.
9. S. (15:57) Now in the world there are over 3000 religions, why should people choose our method to advance?
R. They'll understand that only this method will bring man to wholeness.
10. S. (16:18) If you could explain please, in Bnei Baruch our work is burning in the tens and if we go into some argument and connect, but the world is becoming worse and worse what to do with that? How does our work affect the world?
R. That's something we cannot see clearly, but the more we can connect between us really affects the whole world. We will see that later.
12. S. (17:06) You said to open your heart, how to open the heart?
R. We're not going to talk about it now, we have talked about it a thousand times. Ask things that bring something new.
12. S. (17:30) I've heard that before I break through to a new revelation and there is a special opportunity, the question is we, the world Kli, do we have to add something, we have the means, and do we need or can add something for this breakthrough to happen?
R. Only connection between us and to help each other and to yearn for the connection with the Creator. There’s nothing else. Nothing.
13. S. (18:17) You said that we don't see what we are advancing towards with the work with the world. Can you elaborate what you see? What are we getting closer towards, more than a general connection but go a little bit deeper?
R. No because I don't also see exactly. We are coming closer to the connection between us that is true but there are other disturbances and that's why I don't want to talk about it in such an open way.
Reading (18:52) “Prophecy through the Generations..”
14. R. (18:58) I just want to remind you that these things Baal HaSulam wrote for himself as a kind of...he wanted to write to himself and maybe later on turn it into an article or maybe even a book, but he didn't.
Reading (19:19) “Prophecy through the Generations..”
Reading (21:55) “The Essence of Prophetic Success..”
15. S. (22:50) What does it mean that the focal point with the Creator is the first footing?
R. It is more difficult because he shifts from in order to receive to in order to bestow. That is basically the most difficult transition. Later it’s in a greater and greater will in order to bestow, all kinds of transitions in the same desire.
S. He writes afterwards that the main prophetic success is to extend the Upper light to the dwellers below. What does it mean to draw the Upper light to those who dwellers below?
R. It says that only in the Upper light we can see the spiritual discernment, that's why the whole work is as much as possible to come closer to the Upper light or to bring the Upper light closer to us. By that, we see, meaning we feel, we identify by all the different senses we have, by our vessels we identify the spiritual discernments.
S. So, this prophecy drawing in the form of the Upper light, what is it, it is a revelation, it’s a…?
R. I cannot tell you what it is. You are asking simply what does it mean to be a prophet? What does a prophet see? A prophet is a person who is in contact with the Creator. That's it.
16. S. (24:54) What does it mean, the success that he draws the light in physical success?
R. That as much as the prophet is connected and close to the people, to the lower vessels, by that his success is greater because he has heavier vessels, and more corrections are required.
17. S. (25:35) We study Baal HaSulam, he is our prophet?
R. We are not talking about Baal HaSulam being a prophet, for us he is the teacher.
17. S. (26:00) How does the prophecy draw the Upper light, that's not clear?
R. A prophet is a Kabbalist who is in the highest degree, he's in contact with the Creator. It’s a frontal connection with the Creator either in the light of Hassadim or in the light of Hochma. Some prophets say “I hear” that is the light of Hassadim, some say “I see” so that’s the light of Hochma. That’s it.
R. Let’s come close and then we’ll be able to learn it from the action already, In the meantime we have nothing to do. We are going to move on to TES. We are through with this article. Some articles are like a draft that Baal HaSulam wrote for himself, let’s hope we attain what he’s trying to write.
