Preparation for Opening the Heart at the Congress - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #7
1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:58) We've made a lot of preparations in order to achieve this connection, this gathering, and I hope we still have these two days before the Congress, itself, where we will also invest our powers to connect in these two days as well. All together what we need is to feel ourselves ready to be in such a connection between us that it will be something new, something that is compatible with the appearance of the Creator between us, inside our connection. So, let's make an effort and try to do it. There aren't that many words here, and the wisdom itself, the more we advance in it, the more concrete and concise and direct it becomes.
And that's what we need to respect about it, that the more we can focus our emotions, thoughts in a single minute, in a small amount of a new connection, that indicates progress. You will be able to ask questions, I'm asking you to make your questions as related to the topic as possible. And thus, we will advance. We already know this whole technology, so let's go. If you don't feel comfortable, then everyone knows who to turn to if you feel too warm, or too cold, or if you need anything? So, you should already know the environment, we want everyone to have it great, so there are no disturbances to receive the Creator within the connection between us.

2. R. (06:10) So, we understand from here that we only need to aim our heart and that depends not on a single individual but on the environment, that is somehow all aimed at the goal that it has determined for itself. That a person who enters the environment and wants to join it, to join each and every friend, then he further and further aims himself towards the same goal as everyone. He has no choice, he either does it according to his efforts or he is being pressured and obligated. But a person and the environment must ultimately come closer to each other. So, our whole participation in the Congress is that we are coming to incorporate with the spirit that’s here. And that spirit is what we have to take care of. The more we dwell in it, that determines our correction.
3. S. (07:50) What does it mean exactly to aim the heart in the lesson? I sit right now, what does it mean to get into this environment, to start to aim my heart, what is the action that is required here?
R. I want to aim my heart, and heart means desire. To aim it to be together with a friend's desires. We are studying and wanting to achieve a certain goal. Now, perhaps we can't exactly depict it right now, but we are increasingly clarifying it. And all together we want our connection to reveal the goal to us. It's like an aim where you focus and focus more and more until you see the goal very clearly and close and want it. And that's how you yearn for it and move towards it. That's it, in that way. In that way we advance.
If our desires, our thoughts, our passion of our heart come together as it says, ‘as one man in one heart,’ as much as possible, by that we influence the upper force, all together called Creator, the total upper force. And the more we are focused on Him, the more we think of Him, the more it seems as a single force to us that is upper and determining everything and so forth. By that we connect more between us and aim ourselves towards Him and we build Him in our image more and this is called, ‘you have made Me.’ The more we depict the Creator correctly, by that we will get closer and embrace each other and feel Him.
And that's basically the goal of our work. That we have to correct our heart, as he writes here, Baal HaSulam, in this excerpt from Shamati 68. One cannot correct one's thought but should only aim the heart, make one's heart straight to the Creator. Then all of his thoughts and actions will naturally be to bestow contentment upon his Maker, when he corrects his heart to be a heart and desire of Kedusha. Meaning, to bestow from himself outwards, then the heart will be the Kli in which to place the upper light. And when the upper light shines in the heart, the heart will grow stronger and He will add and supplement continuously. Meaning we only have to work on this consistently, alright.
4. S. (12:37) It says there, when the upper light shines in the heart, the heart grows stronger. What kind of strengthening are we looking for?
R. What kind of strengthening are we looking for? We are looking for our thought to be the same thought. That we will try to establish in it actions that are as close to the Creator as possible by the thought, so that the thought will govern the desire. And thus, we will reach a state where our desire, our heart that is, will take on a shape, a form that can reveal the form of the Creator, the form of bestowal.
5. S. (15:10) The person cannot correct his own thoughts, everything comes from the Creator, so what is the role of a person here?
R. Man ultimately determines his extent of connection with the Creator. So everything depends on the person, there is no coercion in spirituality. The Creator set everything up for you through the laws of nature of bestowal; which is His, and the laws of the nature of reception; which is yours and He wants you to move from your nature to His nature. That's basically the direction, or the route through which we have to evolve and undergo in our exertion, in our efforts.
And in this way, we acquire both greater, increasingly greater forces of reception which appear to us as confusing to us, rejecting us, disturbing us and so forth; different forms of resistance. And with that we also turn to the Creator, we turn to the group, to the study, all the means that can help us to get closer to bestowal. And by these two forces we grow in the upper light, so the upper light will enter us to receive in order to bestow. Meaning, that the force of reception will be in service of the intention to bestow. And in such a way, we will go and advance until we have the force of bestowal as strong as; to the point that we can feel, understand and detect this general force of bestowal that dwells in all of reality around us and that is the force of the Creator.
6. S. (18:35) The question is as follows: To detect someone else besides me, those that are aimed towards the goal, does it mean to take on a form?
R. No. When you find the friends, as it is said, ‘what are you looking for, I am looking for my friends, what are they doing in this field, where are they in the field,’ and so forth. How do we find each other? How do we connect to each other? What do we connect to each other for? We will have to understand this whole matter of connection, that without this connection, that without the deficiency for connection, we don't even enter Egypt, as we remember from the story of Joseph and his brethren.
And so the whole connection, the attraction towards connection, has to be before we arrive at the gathering, the connection between us, where we begin to look further but we already begin to understand in our heart, as it says our heart understands that we have to be connected. So, we come to the initial preparation for building the Kli, preparing it for the future exodus from Egypt.
And then it turns out that the main thing is to feel a need for each one towards everyone else, because only in my connection with everyone leads me to feel our general Kli. That if I dwell in it, I certainly advance towards what we call the exodus from Egypt, even though I haven't entered it first. When do we enter Egypt? When we begin to feel that we depend on each other and then in Egypt we see how bad we are towards each other. How we cannot get along with each other and the whole story of the development within Egypt is about recognising the evil within us, the ego within us that we cannot get rid of, to the point of discovering it as consuming us from within.
And all in all, knowing freedom is the urgency towards connection. That if we connect in our heart, all of us, then there, and only there, we emerge from the exile to freedom. And this is basically the issue of Egypt, of the exile. Exile from sanctity from connection. And then, after that, we only reinforce this tendency until we emerge to the degrees of connection to the Creator.
7. S. (24:00) Does the restriction begin after you receive the vessel in which to receive the light?
R. The restriction can begin after I, in all of my desires, I begin to feel that these desires, the way they are in me, they don't equalize with the light, with the Creator's desire to bestow. So, my desire is opposite, the desire to receive, to the extent that I feel that these are opposite desires, then I refrain from my will to receive, I reject it, I don't want to use it. And it also comes and goes until I finally decide that I have to be above my will to receive, in the will to bestow, to that group with which I have to rise. I can't do it on my own. We have to build a Kli that resembles the Kli of Adam HaRishon and so in that way it turns out that we advance, we build the Kli through the connection between us and in it we begin to ascend.
8. S. (26:15) The question is: can I get the necessary heart to turn my heart into the Kli [vessel] for my ten, or from the teacher, or from the general group?
R. Both this and that, but ultimately you get it through the ten, the closest to you is the ten. Inside the ten you need to discover the upper force, which is the Creator. And instead of the ten, you can then, afterwards, feel the world Kli but ultimately they connect together and then you have both the ten and the world Kli and the Creator and everything shines together towards you.
9. S. (27:27) What is a thought?
R. A thought is an expression of my desire. What I want is what I think about. The desire changes or disappears and accordingly the thought changes or disappears.
S. What does it mean to make the Creator in our image, in our likeness if we are corrupted, broken?
R. We have to reach a state where we are called Adam. Adam comes from the word Domeh, [similar] meaning similar to the Creator, that is what we need to do. So, let's try. And in order to achieve the image of the Creator, we have to connect between us and then by the friction between us, the connection between us, the different forms of resistance between us, this is how we come to our new formation called Adam, similar to the Creator. Before that we are not considered Adam.
10. S. (29:25) I just wrote down that it is impossible to rise without building the vessel between us that resembles Adam HaRishon. Can you describe what are the qualities of that Adam HaRishon that we should resemble? Something that we can also check and compare, compare our measure of connection to the system.
R. Well in the ideal way, the precise way, Adam HaRishon is all the desires of all human beings, let's say those living in this world. But they are all connected to a single desire, a single intention, a single purpose. And then, what they establish between them, their internality, the direction of the heart; that will be called Adam.
How do we move towards that? By building such systems where we want to build a vessel in which these processes will take place. Our goal, in our time, is exactly to start piecing together this vessel. This is actually a very fast process that will take place. It's not like what we think of who knows when or maybe in centuries, no, because as we begin, it already pulls us inwards and then we don't know who's running, who's driving who: we drive history or history is driving us. But in truth, history is driving us and it has to take shape within us very quickly in our time. That's why we are considered the last generation. So all in all, the connection has to be between everyone to everyone, certainly on different levels and in different aspects between different nations and countries and so forth, whatever we have, all that we have today, from this humanity that has evolved in different forms. And therefore, we have to be sensitive to this.
11. S. (33:00) (distorted sound)…I also have other sorts of thoughts, thoughts with the ten, all sorts of thoughts and you tell us very clearly at the beginning to have, let's say, very short moments of condensing the thoughts, the thoughts to aim.
In the beginning you said something about in very short moments you compress your thoughts, to aim your thoughts. How do you do this to get your thoughts, that you come to one powerful thought in a very short moment, in this minute what you said and that it occurs more and more and more. Now I have moments I drift away, I think of texts, I think of what you are saying but I am not in the connection. How do you combine this that you are in one thought to aim to this yearning of connection?
R. The more we think of the connection, the more we feel we don't have it in us. This thing is not within us. Look at what is happening in the world. All of evolution is intertwined with the concept of connection. The more we develop, the more we move away from each other. The most connected people were the most primitive people, thousands and thousands of years ago. So, there were no private possessions, everyone was altogether sometimes able to catch, hunt different forms of life, in some clans, you can still find these life forms in Australia or Africa where they haven't evolved in the same form, not in the modern form, let's put it that way, that’s not exactly precise.
But all of our development is that even though we are billions of people and we are very different and we are all egoistic with our very big and different desires to receive and very multifaceted, with that we have to see how similar we are, how we have to strengthen each other and bring ourselves to connect to each other. And this is the required development even though we always discover the clash between us.
And therefore, our work is in order to educate ourselves, direct ourselves and find forces upper to us, higher than us, that will help us to invert our nature, transform ourselves towards the upper force; One, Unique and Unified. That we will all join together in order to establish something that is similar to the upper force from ourselves; to be as one.
And then we start making some contact with Him and we can correct ourselves according to Him. This is called getting closer according to our views, thoughts, desires, goals and then we enter the track that we can call the ladder of degrees where we rise from our degree, each and everyone's personal degree, to a degree of the group, of the ten. And then in this ten, we also rise from state to state, from degree to the next, until we come to the complete state, where all the tens connect to a single ten.
And by that we have determined that we have become as one man. This is the process and it is now being opened to us, where it's more or less clear to us what are the stages in it. We haven't yet been through them emotionally. We don't yet feel exactly where we are and what needs to change in our mind and heart in order to move from one degree to the next. But it is already clear to us that our progress happens in us, only through connection between us, into groups and then connection between the groups and so on until we truly become this image of a single man; until we go back to Adam Kadmon, which also translates as primordial man.
S. At the moment I am in a state that I listen to the content, I listen to the information, I am processing the information and I want to come to the heart to connection. How do you make the shift that you come to this power of because now we are in the mind, how do you come to the hearts, the connection of the friends? It's a lot of information, it's a lot of content and I want to come to the heart of the connection: how do we do this Rav?
R. It is only by finding the center of the connection between me and the audience. When I begin to feel this connection, this point of connection, this central point, then in such a way we begin to build the structure of Kedusha. In its center is the Creator, the force of bestowal that unites everyone and holds everyone, and around Him, it is all of us, all of our groups, our tens, and this is how we see ourselves.
As much as we develop, our development is not individual, aimed only into my heart, inside of my heart but so that my center, my heart will be aimed towards connection with everyone. And as much as I am able to depict more and more this thing happening inside of me, this is how we will advance. It's a matter of feeling, it's a matter that each and everyone has to demand from his heart that the heart will feel that way.
12. S. (44:25) Can we draw, pull the light of the Creator for each other in order to strengthen our heart if we don't yet feel the mutual dependency between us to the full extent?
R. Of course not, it comes together. As much as we feel the dependency upon each other, so we can demand the friends will be closer to me, let's say, and this is how I also demand of myself to be closer to them. And in such a way in the connection between us, in our hearts, when we connect into one heart, there we will discover the general force between us which is the Creator, and it is only a feeling.
There is no intellect here, no wisdom here. It is not the wise one who learns, as it is written, but rather the most important is the emotion. As much as we speak about the wisdom of Kabbalah or the hidden wisdom, something that is above us, something that is special, that is strong, it is only for the sages; these are only words. The most important thing for us is the feeling and the feeling is the biggest problem because it is hidden behind a lot of intellect and it is hiding there and we have to open up our mind, throw it away and only work with the feeling. As much as a person can feel another one in his heart, according to this he gets closer to the Creator.
S. If I can be more precise, how can we reach this mutual dependency without blows and suffering?
R. The blows and suffering is what we depict and imagine to ourselves. As much as I yearn towards connection and connection is desire both in my eyes that I actually yearn for states of joy. As much as I depict it as negative states, I get closer to states of sadness. It all depends on us, it all depends already on the society. We have to establish such a society that it will always control and rule over me in a state where, if we are connected, then I am happy. The society should persuade me of that, that the connection with the Creator is only in the center of the society.
13. S. (48:03) We talk about the power of connection. And it's the first time for me that I come from my German ten here and it's very exciting for me. And I feel when I come here, I feel all the work that you did for years and years and years with all the friends. And I feel how big this Kli is and how powerful and how much light it draws. So my question is: Does a Kli have a memory?
R. Certainly. A Kli [vessel] is everything and it is divided into many parts and many levels. There is a vessel that is the whole of reality, then there are more specific, more particular vessels until they all connect in their center. But the vessel, that's everything, that's all that the Creator created. Besides the vessel there is only the force which is unlimited and it is called, let's say, the upper light that fills the whole of reality. But everything that is below that, which we want to limit and take measurements from and feel and work with it, that's no longer the upper light, that is already light that is confined, limited by us. And this is why we give it all kinds of names.
S. And when we look at the process of connecting the ten with the world Kli, how can we make sure that this is a good connection between all the different parts?
R. If it's a connection towards unity, towards greater vessels, more general vessels, then it is a good connection. Because then in this connection we give the Creator the possibility to be revealed. That is all, we don't need more than that. We want to build such a vessel in which the Creator is revealed in full, without hiding, without cutting off Himself anything, but rather as He is, the vessel should be suitable for Him. So it will be one light and one Kli.
S. It sounds to me, when I listen to you, that we always talk, we always talk about the connection in the ten. It sounds like every action in the ten contributes to the world Kli at the same moment, how can this be?
R. We will feel how it works. It's good that you have a desire for it, an inclination towards it, so that you will feel it, you will feel it, but this is how it works: nice. You have a good inclination.
14. S. (52:25) I have a confusion: you talked about villages around the world who weren't that developed but they were mutually helping each other, working on the soil and so forth. Do these parts of the world that are not developed, are they working the way the Creator wants? Are they in connection?
R. Each and every person, each and every group of population in the world, which is divided in such a way to all kinds of different groups and settlements, all cities, big cities, each one of them has a certain purpose. And in general, these are actually circles, a force field which arranges us in such a way and it brings us, all of us, through this mutual, gradual development until we begin to feel that the world that we are in is not so good, and we have to change it, and we need to change, we need to correct ourselves. And this is how we advance. That's it.
15. S. (54:30) To ask you face to face, here in the Bnei Baruch Center is a really great privilege for us and I'm really grateful for that. I would like to connect the center of my heart with everyone. What is that center of the heart?
R. The center of our heart is the central point of all the world's, of all the vessels, where we are connected, and in that center we all come, and into that center we all come back. That state exploded in the sin of Adam HaRishon and we need to bring ourselves back to it through connection between us. And then we return to that same center and in it we gradually discover the Creator. And then it will be one vessel which He created, and one light which is He, Himself. That state will be called the end of correction.
16. S. (56:20) The question is with respect to the connection: if I think of the friends and I want them to attain the Creator, I am ashamed each time I think of a personal desire and all of my energy is focused on the goal of embracing my friends towards the goal. Is that the first step towards connection?
R. Yes, certainly.
S. Are these the initial, the first exercises?
R. Yes, you can say that too.
17. S. (57:30) I am stuck between yesterday's lesson and today's. Yesterday, we really carved ourselves like you carve a rock. Today, it says you can't even correct your thoughts. Baal HaSulam writes in Shamati, that when one corrects his heart to a place of Kedusha it becomes a Kli for the upper light and then the heart strengthens and becomes more and more whole. Where can I get this strength to build the Kli?
R. What is a Kli? A vessel means the measure of my connection with the group, not personal, individual, not egoistic, that I catch something and I hold it inside of me, it is the opposite of what we think. It is how much can I come out of myself into the ten and when I catch myself in that, sometimes, I see how much I was working each time in a different direction, so what do I do?
So, now when I remember this, I begin again, for a few minutes to be connected to the true goal of connecting myself with the friends for the construction of the vessel of the ten in which we will work together on the revelation of the Creator in order to give Him, from all the connection of our desires and in order to receive from Him what He wants to pass on to us together.
And later on again, I forget and I go through all kinds of different forms and ways which are not precisely in the direction of connection and it is not together. Why? What for? In order to build a new vessel, so I have to now gather like an inner force. Let's say, I look for all kinds of things, let's say mushrooms, all kinds of things and I collect them and collect them into my basket and later on I remember again what am I doing it for? In order to be together, in order to be ‘as one man in one heart’ and again I work on the connection.
I made that second connection, I achieved something more in it, and this is called, let's say the degree of Ruach, instead of the degree of Nefesh that I had previously. And again, I seemingly, what do I do next, I lose it. And this is how I advance to the third step.
This is how we do it each time and we help each other more and more to to fill our basket with all kinds of searches, all kinds of states and definitions all kinds of efforts, exertions until we truly reach having a certain complete quota and then we discover in us, what did we do for the Creator, to be similar to the Creator. Then it is already called a spiritual degree, and in that way again and again until NRNHY, until we build these degrees in us.
And accordingly, we correct our connection with the Creator. And that is the most important. We can learn about it, let's say, in TESThe Study of the Ten Sefirot but it will confuse us, because there are many details that we are not familiar with these details. So, there we will simply learn it superficially but the most important for us is to learn it emotionally; that we actually have to realize all of this.
18. S. (01:02:40) How through the friction of the hearts and overcoming that friction, how can we rise to the path towards the connection with the Ten.
How through the rubbing of the hearts and overcoming that friction we intend to go on track towards the connection with the Ten?
R. The rubbing of the hearts itself elevates us on the path. It is a very special state where as much as it seems to us that we are actually descending, that we do not understand, we are confused, these are signs of progress. These are signs of the entrance to spirituality specifically and, this is why we should not be under the influence of our mood. We need to understand that in these states we are acquiring the vessels, the correct vessels, for knowing spirituality. The more we advance in spirituality we seemingly understand less. We become more and more incorporated in the light of the Ein Sof, in the upper light, the general light, the general vessel. This is why we do not have so much to regret. We should understand that each and every state that we go through these are states of advancement. Even if I get up today and compared to yesterday, I do not know anything, and I don't remember anything, and I am confused. This is the next state in line that I should have.
19. S. (01:05:25) I heard you say that each has to demand from his heart to be able to feel. Looking at any one friend here, I feel a sea of emotion. There is so much feeling here and so much deep emotion that the heart awakens from the impressions from the friends. It is a very strong emotional impression from every friend, what do we exactly demand from our heart? How can I demand something from myself when I feel the emotion coming from the friends?
R. I can demand from myself to get closer to the friends according to how much I will reach them with an open heart. I will absorb from them whatever the Creator, not them, but the Creator wants to pass on to me. This means that as much as I come to the friends with an open heart I receive through them what the Creator is passing on to me, the Creator's message.This is how we can constantly advance. I have a connection with the Creator through the friends, the friends are the vessel, and what I get inside the vessel truly comes to me from the Creator, according to my yearning and according to my intention. We need to try only to have more gentleness, more subtlety with which we aim ourselves at connection through the friends to the Creator, and not to throw it away and say oh it doesn't work for me, I don't understand, but rather, a little bit more and a little bit more, with more subtly, there the true contact with the Creator begins. We are already in such states.
20. S. (01:08:23) I feel that the heart is filled with joy and happiness. I received so many examples of how to be a true friend, how to care for the friends but I cannot behave the same way towards my Ten. My question is how can I bring what I receive here at this moment to my Ten
R. I did not understand can you, repeat please.
S. I am very moved by everything that I feel for all the friends in the world quickly. I receive so many examples of how to love each other but there is a limit where I cannot bring everything that I receive here,how do I open my heart towards my whole Ten.
R. From every lesson you can only get a little bit in quantity and quality and the most important is how much later on you actualize it throughout the day. This is why you should try to do that but it is not that you want to swallow up the whole entire lesson but one idea from the lesson that seems important to you and that you do not forget it and you want it to remain in you. This is how you should go forward. Besides this our success depends on our entire vessel.
21. S. (01:10:59) In the last Congress you explained to us how we can direct ourselves towards the forces of giving the question if the forces of giving are different for each and every friend. This is the question, are the forces that will take us towards giving different for each and every friend?
R. We cannot really compare it because this already depends on the internality of the heart and the Heart of each and one feels on its own. We cannot precisely compare what one heart feels worse to what the other heart feels but rather the goal should be similar, the means towards it those should be similar that is it. This is called to be as 'one man in one heart', In the end no one comes out in itself but rather he aims himself to one goal like everyone.
This is what I can say so do not worry about the fact that you are far away from each other in your heart. This is not true, it is not true. The world around us is closing in more and more. It is pressuring us more and more to be as one system for all of us and each and every person feels it. They are really entering this track which is called the last generation. You will have to be great teachers of the entire last generation
22. S. (01:13:33) We are very happy to see you in the group we are full of emotion on the one hand there is a concern, for those who stayed back on the other hand we all want to unite as one hand one then and we now need to focus on something specific as a group or just flow with the feelings that arise?
R. The most important thing for us right now is connection that we want to reach it and feel inside of it, discover inside of it our system and within it the Creator. This is actually our direction and so we do not have so much here in these states because we have already been through and you do not even imagine, what does it mean to go through all these states? Because you forgot already. It is only to connect only what we have today. We will already be in a very special strong vessel A very powerful one. let's do it. we will do it it is nearby

23. R. (01:17:28) In the end, what does he tell us? To give contentment to the great means to give contentment to all the created beings. There is no other action, no other way, how to pass to the Creator our attitude only through the Creator beings. I wish to send them something through the Ten. Otherwise there is no other way to approach this, no other access. Only through the friends to the extent I dismiss the Ten. It is felt in the Creator that I disregard Him because in Him the Ten and the Creator are the same. Iit is not two things, it is one thing. Hence I have no other way to reach the Creator except by changing my attitude for the better or the worst in the Ten. This is the law, that is the law, Clear?
24. S. (01:18:52) How can we feel the goal as the connection between us?
R. To understand that we wish to scrutinize the true goal, to that extent we will feel it. This means that the vessel has to proceed with the light. First, I build the Kli, my deficiency I present it towards the Creator and then I can receive an answer in it.
S. But now I'm here in a lesson and I feel that I do not have importance, I don't have ?
R. It's very good. It means that you reach a new state where you see that you like the vessel for that new state that you have reached. No reason to feel sorry about it but to the contrary but that you understand the state and be impressed by it. If that will be good with you, I will be happy.
25. S. (01:20:10) To continue the question of the friend. I do not have that heart that we speak of here. I try to influence the friends with what I think they need but it is possible that it is not exactly what they need and what I need to do with that. How can we understand what the friends actually need and what I need to do about it?
R. First of all you feel that it is not good for your state. That it is incomplete. You feel it. We are discussing higher states where people are here, they feel what they are lacking and what degree of connection they need to reach and they are still not in it. How should they connect among themselves to maintain a connection and they don't feel like it. Meaning that they have different lacks and deficiencies, and you do not feel these deficiencies in you. It is as if you do not regret any of them. Now you get up and you say I do not see that whatever they regret that I don't have that in me. That is exactly precisely the lack that you need to start from. Why do I not feel the sorrow of the friend about the same deficiencies that they feel, that they regret and I am not together with them. That is the problem. Why don't I feel the heart of the friend? He who feels the sorry for his friend, who feels the sorrow of his friend, is answered first.
First there needs to be sorrow, then he is rewarded because he has a vessel. Why don't I have a.vessel I never thought that I lacked it. I do not intend to live in the desire that I lack. I see the states as not good or unpleasant. I check my state according to how I feel good or bad, and that is completely wrong because then I feel it relative to my existing desire. I feel good. I feel bad it means it's bad but good or bad is relative to my ego, it is felt relative to my ego. What will I do? In place of that I need to transfer myself to a feeling of good and bad, not relative to my egoistic desire but relative to the desire to bestow to the Creator. How will I do it? The group,that is the means by which we can move from the feeling of self to the feeling of the Creator.
If I depict myself as existing in the group and I rejoice about what they rejoice and I feel sorrow for what they feel sorrow then it works out that I gradually transfer myself even though it is inconvenient and uncomfortable because it is a transition in feelings. However I gradually transfer myself from my egoistic desire to altruistic feelings, from one world to another from the degree of the creative being to the degree of the Creator. That is what we need to do. Otherwise our vessel will remain the same. That's the way it was before and after 20, 30, 40 years we will also feel the same vessel. We will be a little bit wiser, we will have learned a few more words, a different type of knowledge of all kinds of things of Kabbalah but in essence we would not have risen to a different degree.
S. You are saying to feel the joy or sorrow of the friend. The joy is similar for everyone. I can feel it and the sorrow of each one is different as I can see it. I can feel only that same sorrow that I feel. Should I start from that?
R. You can not force yourself to suffer that would be a lie. A person is the will to receive. He constantly goes from the bad state to the good state. He can advance another way. He cannot place himself willingly in a bad state,unless he can justify this bad or he can receive a reward at the right time. Meaning at the correct time or in the future time. Then he has to depict for himself a grand goal or grand picture as compensation then he can do it. He cannot simply cause bad or harm to himself if it's impossible, we are only a will to receive. You have to think about it.

R. Nevertheless you need to see the goal, which is connection. Connection has to be more advanced. In anything and in every aspect. Like it or not we will reach it. You can understand how significant are the states that we are going through, the states we are going through, of the development of the reality that we are going through. 27. S (01:30:43) We learned that this stony heart is 32 Commandments, how is my sensation related to that?
R. The stony heart is not a commandment, Mitzvot. The stony heart is a state where our will to receive is opposite to the will to bestow, opposite. There is no connection between them that you can build. These are two opposite things. What we need to do is to form a bridge between the stony heart and the will to bestow. This is the meaning of turning the stony heart into a heart of flesh. How do we do it, through connection? If we ascribe or associate the group to the stony heart, then we associate the Sefirot to the stoney heart.
The upper nine, Tet Rishonot as we call it. We can receive it from friends and I can attach it to my Malchut. This is one action. Then we try to subjugate ones Malchut under the upper nine so that they will dominate. The desires of the group, of the friends, so they will dominate me and I am willing to serve them.To be simply with them, underneath them and in this way we connect. It means that I am under the restriction, the screen and the reflected light and I am ready to correct myself with the upper nine. The first 9 Seferot who are the friends. Then I am devoted to the friends in the annulment of my heart and it works out that through that I cancel myself towards the Creator because the Creator stands behind the friends. That is what I'm finding out and everything becomes simple, everything is here and this gained between us.
28. S (01:34:48) I would like to give an example of an athlete that works on his muscles in order to reach success and you truly want to reach success. Then he reaches some sort of a limit and he can no longer do it. I feel that I want to be strong, to work on my heart, to be stronger than others and the heart did that. Who do I get this workout plan from so that I don't work out too much? Who is this coach that can guide me to work out correctly, so that the heart will remain strong and healthy?
R. That is how it will be .I have nothing more to say. You are smart people and you are such a group that you have. You are in the right direction
29. S (01:36:43) Can we say the key of the true connection with the Creator is first getting the connection through friends? Once we connect with the friends and not to forget to check our intentions, which has to be calibrated for their benefit through the happiness of the creator?
R. Yes, excellent that is the correct intention if you can remain in that and you will succeed.
30. S (01:37:40) To the connection to the center in which the Creator lies that is the goal we need to reach is. in the state of rest or is this a foundation that we feel upon ourselves and upon which we need to build new relationships with the world?
R. Both. We need to be flexible. iI is both this and that.

There are people who come to the group, and they feel that they finally found their source of life and their means by which they can advance and there are those who have found it but are running away from it, because it's too obvious to them that they do not belong to it, they do not want it enough.

R. I can feel it on you very much. You are a very subtle person with a deep subtlety of the soul and I'm happy you will advance quickly with this attitude.

R. It's all we also call the upper light, simple, no noticeable differences in it. The differences come when the light passes through different vessels, different desires, different modes and manners of the receiver but in the upper lights there are no discernible differences. It's simply light, it is one intention, one desire, one goal ,one reason, one cause. It's all together, one. This is what we ultimately attain. This concept comes to us when we attach all the different components of it and then we see that they're all there to withhold the simple principle that there is no more than one, and we attain this one.

R. Of course. All the circumstances I have to accept them. I have to accept that they are happening, that they come from the same source that wants to advance me towards the purpose of life, the purpose of creation. Therefore, I have no conflict with it, the same Creator who is pulling me towards the purpose of creation. He places all kinds of obstacles before me, problems, it is him who is doing it so I would concentrate even more on none else besides him and the good that does good, and more big disturbances that I have to concentrate them even more on 'here's none else besides him' and more and more and that's how I advance.
That is how I advance, men and women. it doesn't matter. That is how we attain the source of life. I am very happy that we all have this interest, this yearning for it and the Creator is giving us such exercises and challenges. We just need to be locked in on that because we need to connect more and more, and then corresponding to that we receive forces of disturbance only so that we would connect more tightly between us and that is why we get all these powers that disturb us and in this way it will format us in the right way.

R. You have to keep going, there is nothing to do, it says what the mind doesn't do time does, but it's not written for those who have no intellect, no mind. Rather the mind is built in such a way that it can digest and process only that degree, where the Creator places a person and when it needs to rise to a higher degree, then he doesn't have the intellect in them. They have to create a new mind and him in order for him to feel and understand it and digest it, and to rise with it. There's nothing you can do but rather whatever the mind doesn't do, time does. Meaning this is not the time when you are lifted to a higher degree and then you need to develop again in your mind and your feelings and that's how it works.

R. I recommend to simply integrate and incorporate in everyone as much as possible, annul yourself when a person annuls himself relative to everyone as much as possible, then in this instance he will be able to grasp everyone's mind and feeling and it will become his true possession that he can take from the congress.
38. S. (02:04:15) You've said that friction is a necessary part of our work but what do we do when a friend is driven away by the friction and is no longer participating?
R.There is no nothing you can do. There's no contact with him and you need to perhaps, need to look for a place of contact with him to maybe you can bring him back in some way but if not if he objects to it and he doesn't respond to any of our calls then leave him be and let him remain the way he is.
39. S. (02:05:43) We've reached the sensation that there is' None else besides Him' . Do we also need to convince ourselves that He is the good that does good or will he give us that sensation?
R. That's not a simple question. The fact that the Creator is good who does good is not so simple because it's what we need to how we need to respond in each and every moment. After we determined there's 'None else besides Him' we determined that he is the good that does good. That's an entirely different degree compared to 'there's no besides Him. The fact that there is no more than a single force in creation, we can somehow accept it but the fact that he is the good that does good, that's essentially a completely different degree. It's that same power is good and only good and this clashes with what I feel and with what I can determine. Meaning here, I need to change myself and make myself into a human who always feels good who is under the control of the Creator and the Creator's world.
How can that be? In the states that we are going through the good the bad, mostly the not so good, what can one do? Here we need to reach a state where there is truly no bad but only good. The good who does good above us, and in every instance. In every instance, He works on us only towards the good, where we feel wherever we feel His actions as not good from 0 to infinity, it doesn't matter where and how much. These are signs that we need to correct ourselves. The reception of our vessel and there we need to pray for the Creator to connect us and to pray to the Creator for him to correct our vessel. That's the main thing.
40. S. (02:09:35) He writes here in excerpt 9 very clearly that love in our love of friends, our existence depends on it. How can we engrave this in our hearts and how can we not leave this sensation?
R. By doing these exercises, we are constantly trying to more and more and more to do it until it becomes our nature, and that's how it is.

(02:13:54) Especially now when it's before the Congress, it's a special feeling of a roller coaster and states and even negative and positive stuff in all of it there's sometimes guilt of past in life but the most thing I'm afraid of, is that I don't have enough love of friends and sometimes not even having love of friends. How to keep that kind of fear because I think that is more positive than concentrating on the other stuff, because the emotions cannot be trusted.
R. It's not good to constantly be in fear and deficiency, it's also not a good feeling, it means that in general you don't feel good in the world of the Creator, He is not arranging a good feeling for you in your life and your existence. Hence, we must hold on to Him. This is the good that does good, for the good and for the bad, always and all times and under all circumstances. Then what will happen will happen. We have to deliver ourselves into His hands and continue this way, and you will see how everything will work itself out and the palate will taste.

R. Eventually, in the wisdom of Kabbalah there is no conflict with the mind and the heart, only in the beginning. Later it works itself out and the mind and the heart actually complement one another.There is no room to work with the mind and the intellect and the emotions begin and the other way around so we have to continue and it will work itself out, and they will fill one another with the control of the mind over the heart and the heart over the mind.

That is where we need to connect more and more between us, and in the vessel that we reveal at the end of this connection is called the vessel of love, in it we reveal the Creator because that is his quality, this is his quality.
