Connecting the World in the Last Generation - Selected Excerpts from the Sources

Excerpt #1 (00:20 - 02:42)

1. S. (02:48) It's written, “to adhere to His qualities, as He is merciful, you are”, but if we see the way He bestows to the world it doesn't seem He is merciful?

R. Where have you seen His influence on the world, how He influences it?

S. All kinds of phenomena I see externally, ask a regular person if the Creator's merciful, they'll say “no look at the world”.

R. Who said this is the actions of the Creator, meaning there is a problem here: how should we understand that the Creator is acting here and why does His face seem so negative towards us. All the sufferings that He causes and the world is filled with sufferings, it comes all from Him, the only one that's in control. And we need in some other form to be grateful for Him, to be inspired by Him. Where have you seen such a thing, it’s contradictory to any understanding or any logic, anything we were born and educated with.

S. What is the Creator even demanding from us, that's the question; a bigger question is how to cling to His attributes especially when you see that they're not so merciful, meaning how to act to Him when they see this?

R. You're right, you are right, I'm not contradicting I agree, I completely agree with your observations of this world.

S. If you want to behave with the world like the Creator and you see that He's not merciful at all then how should we relate to the world?

R. We must, first of all, know if there is a Creator in the world, what are His qualities, His actions, what are His demands from us, and only after that to decide what we need to do. That's why each and every one of us, there exists a problem of scrutinizing all of these matters. Who is the Creator, why did He create us this way, why, what actions, what steps are we undergoing through our development and so on. All of this we must scrutinize and not be thrown into actions that were not aware of their meaning

2. S. (06:18) In the balancing acting between Galgalta Eynaim and AHP where we’re ultimately trying to reach equivalence of form, do we do that in our ten so when we reach equivalence of form in our ten, is that complete integration in the ten, and is this the Galgalta Eynaim and AHP relationship which connects us to the Creator?

R. Yes, everything is revealed and balanced and connects correctly only in the ten.

3. S. (07:16) He writes here, “and from here it's clear that what the Creator wants from us is equivalent to form and we attached to Him as before we were created”. I want to ask you, isn't it presumptuous that we can resemble the Creator, what He thinks, what He thinks we can think, isn't that presumptuous?

R. If you can keep speaking the way you speak, I don't understand anything, speak as if you’re before people that need to understand you.

S. Can we feel the Creator, what does it mean that we feel the Creator?

R. That you feel the upper Force working on you whether a negative way, a positive way, it doesn't matter, what's next?

S. Because he says that “we attach and cling to Him like before the creation”, were we connected to the Creator before we were created?

R. We're always connected to the Creator.

S. Even before we were created in this world?

R. I don't know, I know we're always connected to Him, He is our source forever.

S. So, what is the equivalence a form with the Creator when we say that the whole work is equivalent to form, what is equivalence of form?

R. Equivalence of form means to resemble Him in qualities.

S. What does that mean?

R. Just as He is merciful, you are merciful, that's how it is.

S. You have to be merciful over everyone like He is, what should I have mercy?

R. I don't know that's what's written.

S. I don't understand this concept, what does it mean, ‘merciful’?

R. I'm not going to teach you what you want now, we’re all learning something together.

S. Tell us to be merciful like the Creator, what does it mean?

R. Learn from the world how the Creator is merciful and then resemble the Creator be also merciful like He is.

S. Excuse me, do you see Him as Merciful over this world?

R. I'm not going to argue with you.

S. I see all the earthquakes and mess.

R. I'm not going to argue with you.

S. Why?

R. I'm not going to get into all kinds of conversations with you.

S. I see all these disasters.

R. Okay, you see disasters, I see corrections, learn and agree with me that they are corrections.

S. These are corrections.

R. Yes

4. S. (10:17) Are the writings of the last generation an explanation for the reason that we have been created so weak and with such small ability even if you compare ourselves to the smallest animals?

R. We are the weakest also harmful, really, but it's as we see in all animals in the world that man is the weakest, and is born in a state that he has nothing and nothing supposedly can be in there. But gradually he grows and rises upon everyone, that's how we also have to see our state, it's only in the beginning, the small one will grow.

5. S. (11:38) In the excerpt it speaks very severely about the created being but the created being created the creature with the intention to give pleasure to him. We in our ten we really enjoy having fun but we do it for the Creator, is it possible to do that?

R. Of course, you can choose any pleasure you want in your life but before you enjoy, just say that you're going to do it to the Creator and enjoy it!

S. Thank you very much!

R. You think it's normal?

S. That's what we decided to do in our ten, it’s such a ten!

R. That's how Believers behave, they give a small blessing and eat with pleasure and that's called for the Creator.

S. So is it forbidden, so how to correct ourselves?

R. You can imagine it like that that: the moment you completely distance yourself from pleasure or go through states to stay away from pleasures, there is where an ability is revealed, a new possibility to enjoy for the Creator because He will enjoy you and not you from Him.

6. S. (13:40). If I understand correctly, this method doesn't teach us to believe in God so how to be not confused with the philosophical idea of God and doing the real work?

R. God is the true form because from Malchut we have to raise to Bina to connect in Bina and then we disconnect from Malchut and establish ourselves on Bina and only from Bina we can start bestowing to Keter.

7. S. (14:42) If it's beyond what's essential for me, must I return it to nature and by that I become balanced with the Creator?

R. A person has to enjoy everything he gets but in order to bestow that he's passing these pleasures to all of creation, that he is as a means to bring back to Creation everything that he got from the Creator.

S. What's essential?

R. Essential is what he needs to do.

S To bring it all back to the Creator.

R. Yes

8. S. (15:30) What relation to the corrections of the last generation, what is the role of Bnei Baruch and where are we with respect to that role, what do you feel?

R. We are on the path and we have great work before us, and in this way we have to keep going, that's it. Our role is to be the first ones with the group going towards Gmar Tikkun.

9. S. (16:17) In our degree what is the correction besides the connection between us, is there anything to correct?

R. Except for the correction between us there's nothing to correct just be ‘as one man with one heart’, and we adhere to the Creator and through us we bring all of the other creations back.

10. S. (16:53) There's a very strong stream with the wars and the news and quarrels all over the world.

R. What, really?

S. Yes if you open the news once a day you're already in it, it’s clear it’s results there, here we determine things. But shouldn't we not open the news at all, how not to be connected to it in a way that it will carry you, just to see it as a world of results. Because we see that many friends are very stressed from these things that are going on outside

R. What about I don't know, I hear sometimes that one political party is crying out about another one that, “you are endangering democracy”, that's what I hear, and the other one is saying the same thing on the other party. I don't know if they all know what democracy is but that's how they're crying at each other more than that I didn't hear anything.

S. Yes that's true but there's a lot of identification with that for everyone, the families, the people in the workplaces, people identify with that, how can we guard ourselves not to fall into the into that?

R. The more they advance, the dumber they are, that's what I see, that's why what can I do with them? To teach them, I'm not going to, to learn from them, I'm not going to, and I have no connection with them, whatsoever. Right, left, middle, half, third, half on the right, a quarter on the left, I don't know, I don't know this whole structure. I don't think we have any business in that, to be connected to it, I'm not pro or con, I'm just not paying attention to it, that's it.

That's why that you're saying that you turn on the radio and you go into a whirlwind of news or opinions, I don't think we need to be in this at all let people take care of it, it's like kids on the street or in the yard that they run around and scream, and you see that's the way it is. I open a window from my apartment and I hear screaming kids there, so that's the way I am when I turn on the radio, I hear those cries of all those political parties on one another, it's okay life keeps going. I don't get excited from it, not for the good or for the bad, that's why, relax we have our own work to do, we need to search and which way the most convenient way we can bring our message to every person, that's it. And whatever they have except for that let it be, I guess that's what it needs to be. You can't have a world without the person that deals with leather, there has to be a business that stinks too, so let it be, that's it.

11. S. (21:22) What's the connection between the connection with the friends and my restriction over self-enjoyment?

R. It's a direct connection because as much as you distance yourself from self pleasures, you can be closer to the friends, is that clear?

12. S. (22:09) Every higher degree is a cover to a lower degree, that's how the Kabbalists are for us and we are for the world? You are saying that I don't engage in dissemination directly but how do we increase the desire for the whole world, how do we start this work?

R. In our desire to work positively on the world, to bestow positively to the world.

13. S. (22:52) What will I demand for when I don't see a problem in the world?

R. That's not good, you need to come closer to the world and feel what the world is lacking in order to come closer to correction.

14. S. (23:31) We're actually, the way I see it, in the period of time like never before with respect to the relevancy of what we are learning. We see the people start feeling that the democracy that we are in is something fake and they can't be in a real democracy. How you feel to relevance to what even now what we are reading, it's like a solution for the whole Isareli society?

R. We just need to keep going, not left not right, just continue according to Baal HaSulam’s writings, not more. We went through a Congress, we’ll go through another one, and another one, and you'll see as much as we will already be close to the goal.

S. Can you say something about the explanation we should give outside?

R. No, you have a complete dissemination organization, there's people that understand how to do it, I don't belong to this, I have for decades have already stayed away from it.
