Oren Levi: Countries against social networks. A verdict has now been handed down in a German court that obliges Facebook to give advance notice to any person whose account they want to suspend: to explain the reason and also give an opportunity to appeal. Without that, you cannot close a person's account. This is a very meaningful ruling because up until now, social networks did more or less what they wanted. In your opinion, who is going to win: countries or social networks? Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: Countries, I hope. And not only countries, but the UN. There has to be some kind of international consent. How could it be that I use the social network, I pay for it, and I pay a lot because I see that they're all really rich, and they close me down? Oren Levi: The network simply says that we have rules. You didn't abide by them. We're closing you down. Dr. Laitman: They can do with these rules whatever they want but based on what? Based on what do they make these rules? Oren Levi: Suppose what happened with Trump. They said, “Look, Trump, you're causing violence and incite the public, you're causing harm.” Dr. Laitman: By what calculation? Who gave them the power to decide that this is how it is? How could it be that some hotshot, what's his name? Zuckerberg or whoever, even though there is a management of smart people and everything, but who said that they're right? Oren Levi: It's the end of human development. Are we advancing toward a world with no borders, not between countries, not between people, that everything is open? Dr. Laitman: It can't be in this world. Oren Levi: Why not? Dr. Laitman: Because we're all egoists, and everyone wants boundaries for others but not for themselves. Oren Levi: Beautiful, thank you.
