Part 1 Baal HaSulam. The Last Generation, Part 3, Section 1

Reader: Hello, we are reading from the writings of The Last Generation from Baal HaSulam on page 846 of the Hebrew version. You can find the material on our sites and send live questions there. We are in Part 3, Section One.

Whoever asks questions here in the hall, stand up, hold the microphone close to your mouth and speak loud and clear. The writings of Baal HaSulam, the writings of The Last Generation, Part 3, section 1

Reading: (00:37) Pragmatic Communism. Accepting the religion of “Love your neighbor as yourself,” literally.

Just division of the profits, where each will work according to his ability, and receive according to his needs.

Property is kept, but its owner is forbidden to receive from the profits more than he actually needs. One type of property owners will be kept under public supervisors, another type by self-fiduciary or books.

The unemployed will receive their needs equally with the employed.

Those who live in communes will earn the same wages as workers who are property owners, and the profits made by the communal life will be made into public property belonging to the members of that collective.

There must also be an effort to build communal life for workers in towns.

M. Laitman: Questions? None? Ah, yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (03:03) Who is he writing this towards, please?

M. Laitman: To whom?

Student: Is he describing a certain existing condition, state that is being implemented?

M. Laitman: No, no, no. These are stages that according to the wisdom of Kabbalah, the Israeli public should gradually start to organize themselves.

Student: He writes that the yield that they will receive from this will be used for communal use. So, beforehand when we read about that, there was supposed to be like one property of the whole world?

M. Laitman: It depends on which stage. Okay. Next.

Reader: (04:12) Advantages. The workers, and even more so those who fear being unemployed, will certainly assume the religion, thus acquiring security in their lives. The idealistic property owners will also assume the religion by indoctrination on a religious basis.

Public opinion must be such that one who takes more than one needs is like a murderer. Because of him, the world will have to continue the slaughter, Hitlerian manners, and terrible wars. Thus, communism will be promoted.

It is possible to make the life of property owners miserable by contracts and strikes, so they assume the religion since they do not touch their properties, only the profits. Since the religion will be international, it will be possible to win the hearts of the Arab Sheiks with money and religious influence --- so they assume the religion together with us as one unit and promote it among the Arab workers and property owners.

That, in turn, will benefit Zionism. Because they will assume the religion that necessitates love and bestowal upon all humankind equally, they will not be envious of the robbing of the land, since they will understand that the land is the Lord’s. The standard of living of the Arabs will be equal to the standard of living of the Jews. This will be a great incentive for winning their hearts.

M. Laitman: Does anyone want to add? Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (07:21) Good morning. He writes in the very beginning about religion and security. Can you explain it to us a little bit?

M. Laitman: No, whatever he says, that's what he says. That's it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (07:44) If you could define religion? What is religion? He says, love your friend as yourself. What's the meaning of religion?

M. Laitman: It's that some group of people takes upon itself spiritual laws and keeps them in order to get closer to the Creator, in order to sustain themselves in a way that is more organized, etc.

Student: So, these are laws that are associated with the upper force?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course.

Reading: (08:36) Section Two, Private Opinion and Public Opinion. As there is private opinion, which is one’s force of judgment where all the good and bad actions are copied, and as one chooses the good and rejects the bad as though looking in a mirror, so is there a collective mind to the public, where the good actions for society and bad ones are copied. Public opinion sorts out the ones that are good for it, praises their doers, and condemns those who do otherwise. From here emerge idealists, leaders, rules, and reasons.

M. Laitman: Next.

Reader: (09:45) Until today, only the assertive had the judgment and the leadership, being the better part, as it is said, that twenty people lead all of France, and they make public opinion. They have arranged justice, morality, and religion to their benefit. Since they exploit the majority of the public, religion, law, and ethics are hence detrimental to the public, meaning to the majority.

Bear in mind that the current government of the assertive was quite sufficient until today since the masses did not have any power to judge. Thus, all the ruins preceding today’s political order were only among the assertive. However, they did not come to the present order within one generation, but through terrible ruins until they have conceived the religion, ethics, and law that have brought order to the world.

M. Laitman: This means that everything that we think that should be included in the new order of the world will come gradually. Time will be required. Yes.

Reading: (12:08) The New Structure. In recent generations, due to pressure and necessity, and through democracy and socialism, the masses have begun to open their eyes and assume responsibility for the management of society by the majority. Thus, they have concluded that religion, manners, governance, and justice are all to their detriment, as it is true that it serves the assertive ten percent of the public and harms all the others.

Thus, two images of collective government emerged: either as the Nazis, who have rebelled against religion, manners, and justice, and do as the primitive man, prior to the conducts of life of the assertive, or as the Soviets, where ten percent of the public controls the entire public by dictatorship. This will certainly not last long, in light of the historical dialectic.

If manners are revoked, Israel’s enemies will wipe out everyone. In short, we will necessarily and undoubtedly return to being cave dwellers, until (the masses, too) the majority learn the dialectics on their own flesh and bones (as did the powerful ones before them), and finally agree to order.

As did the powerful ones before them. And finally, agree to order.

M. Laitman: Questions?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (14:51) From what I understand, it seems like Baal HaSulam is describing a situation where until today or until then, when it was written, those who were the assertive had this judgment and leadership, governance, and what needs to be is that the masses will have to receive the governance and some upper mind, some common new mindfulness that will accept upon themselves the leadership, which will logically be for the masses, and not just for those 10%.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: The question is, how the masses will learn to receive this upper intellect, this upper mind?

M. Laitman: This is out of the changes in a society. This is how it will happen. They will discover that there are laws in their development, and this is what leads them.

Student: Will this come out of a need?

M. Laitman: Yes. Out of a desire to advance, the general, collective desire. Next. Wait.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (16:38) Can I ask about the previous item we read?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Baal HaSulam writes that there's some international matter of advanced love. We can join the Arabs, join the Jews to improve their quality of life as well as ours, and also Zionism, because they understand that it's all from the Creator all together. The question is, does the Creator have a solution for the quarrel between the Arabs and Jews?

M. Laitman: What we read about, he didn't say more than that. Even that, he didn't speak about it. He just wrote it for himself.

Student: Can you expand on the solution that he's suggesting here?

M. Laitman: No. I didn't learn that, and I didn't hear any more than that, but rather whatever he wrote for himself.

Student: How do you see the solution to this dispute? There's this endless dispute between Arabs and Jews?

M. Laitman: Possibly, I don't know. We need to delve into it and see to what extent it can clothe over the Jews and Arabs of today. It seems to me that certainly the world should undergo a great change by the fact that the wisdom of Kabbalah will be closer to people, but the way it will happen, the way it transpires, I can't say. It seems to me that we cannot even take into account the economic reasons and the relations that will appear as a result of this social development all over the world. As we see today, the world is changing precisely because science and wisdom enters into nations, and they begin to be more and more understanding and feeling the direction to which the world should develop.

Student: So, where does this development lead us to?

M. Laitman: This development will ultimately bring us to a state where it will be the development of religion inside each layer, in the layers of the nations.

Student: The more the wisdom of Kabbalah comes closer to people, expands amongst humanity, where will it lead people? What will it bring them to?

M. Laitman: It will bring them to life such that they'll have fewer conflicts between them, fewer power struggles, and they will have a greater trust, a greater belief in the development of the general civilization that should reach its advanced degrees. How should I put it? Through science, through wisdom. That eventually is what changes our lives today also. We used to think that it's worthwhile to do this and that, but then comes the development of technology, and it makes within us faster and much greater changes.

Student: Nevertheless, how do you see the beginning of the correction of the Arab-Jew dispute?

M. Laitman: I think that the beginning of the correction will be in that each nation will not feel so close to another nation, but every person would become more and more as living within his narrow framework. And it won't burden him, because through computers, through this international connection among everyone, everyone will feel themselves that they belong to one planet earth.

Student: I don't understand. So, every nation will start to feel closer to itself and less closer to other nations in a narrow manner? Where is that point of connection between them when each nation is close within itself? Technological connection?

M. Laitman: Yes, but I don't think that every nation will actually feel themselves closed within their territory or some other connection, but to the contrary, actually, technology will open up for us a greater ability to connect between us and develop.

Student: Will there be a heartfelt connection between nations, let's say between the Jewish nation and the Arab nation? Will there be such a connection?

M. Laitman: Through connection in science, through connection by communicating and connecting between us through computers, through technology.

Student: And what about the different ideology that each of these nations has?

M. Laitman: I don't think that will hold for much longer. I think that in that too, the connection between us will determine the development of the nations and their connections, interconnections between the nations, more than how it used to be in the past.

Student: Meaning we will come closer to one common ideology?

M. Laitman: Ultimately, it will be very close. We will be closer. Also, the language. I think that eventually we will get closer to other nations and they between themselves until we will reach a single language.

Student: What language?

M. Laitman: I cannot say. I cannot say. But it will be something that is close to everyone.

Student: That's not clear. What, verbally people will speak the same language?

M. Laitman: Oh, verbal language, which is also an emotional language.

Student: Hebrew?

M. Laitman: Possibly. I don't know. I don't think so. But maybe it is possible, because nevertheless, well, Hebrew is a very laconic, very brief language. Concise. So, I don't know. Possibly.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (26:21) He writes here that on a religious basis you can go with the public opinion where one who receives more than he needs is like one who takes away souls. Why is it so harsh?

M. Laitman: Because he doesn't let other people receive, because instead of them he receives, so he doesn't let them develop.

Student: But the individual will be so developed that if he feels that he has some kind of inner measure that he is receiving more than he needs, he will feel that he is killing others by that?

M. Laitman: Seemingly, yes.

Student: And this is all possible only based on religion?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Meaning, connection with the upper force?

M. Laitman: Well, not only, but even before that.

Student: Meaning, if a person is not in attainment, he can come to such a degree?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Altogether, why does Baal HaSulam relate so greatly to this whole economical thing? Property, economy, why is it connected?

M. Laitman: Because this is the main change that has to take place in these stages. The transition from the ordinary life to the social life.

Student: Yes, but how does spiritual connection have to do with the connection with the upper force this way?

M. Laitman: Precisely because the spiritual development will rise to its new high level. So, it will be placed, included in every action by a man. In every action by a person, the way I relate to others, the way I relate to the society. All of this will be judged according to the corporeal actions of a person.

Student: Could we say that that law, love your friend as yourself, is expressed in corporeality specifically in the law where each according to his ability needs to work and receive according to one's needs?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: It's like the most corporeal expression of it.

M. Laitman: It's not so corporeal.

Student: No, I mean it's felt in the matter. There's nothing that's sensed that way more than people's properties to a person.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (29:09) I hope it comes out clear and not confused. Especially as we read now The Writings of the Last Generation, I feel in me that it's seemingly understood. So, my intellect understands. I'm trying to understand in my intellect. And then I notice, where's the Creator? He's disappeared. I don't see his part in it. And if I try…

M. Laitman: The Creator is all in all the orders of the new society.

Student: I agree, I agree. I just want to say that if I were to look at things from the point of what we've seen, there was the Wisdom of Kabbalah, which is the revelation of the Creator to His created beings, and I look at the Study of the Ten Sefirot, it's clear to me that I don't understand anything, and I need the reforming light, it's clear to me. Again, I come back to here, The Writings of the Last Generation, it seems to me like I understand something, and I find myself distancing from the Creator. So, I want to say, I'm asking myself, what is our role? Here, we now are reading The Writings of Baal HaSulam, trying to understand what he aimed us here. Baal HaSulam was, and it didn't actually happen. So, in certain words, it's like this strain of whether the Creator is going to be revealed. So, then here I want to say that if I'm trying to understand what my role is, then constantly also as I read these things that I seemingly understand, not to be confused and to search for the connection with the Creator, what the Creator is saying, what does nature say, and that's the role also as I read such things, not to disconnect from the Creator, if I am clear.

M. Laitman: Well, try.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:56) you just said that the Creator is the order of the new society, basically, altogether.

M. Laitman: Yes, the network of connection between the corrected individuals that connect between them in this new corrected society, that is the Creator.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (31:29) I really want to strengthen what you just said earlier. I come from a high-tech company in operations, and I want to tell you that for about a year we're trying from all the big companies, every representative and manager in operations, we created a WhatsApp group where we're collaborating with one another in our problems, in our solutions. We're even meeting once a week and sharing with one another the solutions and the problems, our suppliers, our contractors, which we have a collaboration with, in prices and everything. And I want to tell you that we're discovering gradually this special force. It took us a while to understand, because every big company on its own has its own ego, and it was very difficult to create this thing. But when we started to create it and we saw the results, I want to tell you, I each time think and say to myself, this is simply what Baal HaSulam is talking about. It's simply the same method. It's an amazing method that gives you an immense power, because when you're alone, you have no strength. When you're together with representatives from big companies together, all of you, you understand how this force gives you the point of view from all the different angles, solutions from all the fields, truly everything, and not just in operations. Gradually, you're seeing that it's expanding to other topics. We understand how the force of all the high-tech companies simply have learned and realized that if we all collaborate and cooperate with one another, it will truly give us an achievement and attainment, and I really think that there's something that's happening there that we probably, outside of these walls, don't yet understand. But there is something that I, because I'm in the field of the Wisdom of Kabbalah, I understand this, and it's an amazing thing. I just wanted to share everyone with that.

M. Laitman: It's true.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (31:59) Earlier you talked about technological development and how it will advance the whole world. We usually see, and also today, that technological development comes together with the ego. Big companies were created this way, and each wants to earn more. And also know that most of the technology. .is developed the most in military matters. All the big industries, the internet, cell phones, first of all were developed in the military fields and then came outwards. How will this come out of the control of the ego and actually bring to spiritual development?

M. Laitman: I cannot say. Here, there could be such stages that we are not capable of understanding them. However, along with that, we see how it influences us. How it influences us. We will live and see. There is really a very important stage of technological development here. It has a very important quality because it connects people, between them, and in their work, in society, and all kinds of things. And therefore, we must not underestimate it.

Student: It's being used today this way. Big companies are using this to control people more, to enslave them more, to take more information from them.

M. Laitman: Well, it will always be this way because society itself is still egoistic. This is why we learn how necessarily we will rise out of that to other kinds of relationships. So, precisely by the development of these new connections that this new technology will bring us, we will reach a state where all of the connections and values that we had in our ordinary world will gradually become inverted without shattering or with shattering, I cannot say, and they will take on a new form in which the component of our connection will be more important than all other components, general components. We will talk more about it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (38:00) You are describing a state where the ruins of the past have come to the assertive and now the masses are bringing it by erecting Nazism and then egoistic communism. The question is whether this emergence from human ego, can it lead to a solution that's above it? Because there's no coming out of this, from what I understand from what he writes.

M. Laitman: We are approaching the revelation of the Creator to humanity. And here, there's a question of what degree of development humanity must be so it will start to recognize, acknowledge the upper force in a way that they will discover the necessity for His control. And the necessity for assuming this burden. And in what form, with what kind of relation, all of these should be revealed.

Student: He says that all these negative records will only lead humanity, he writes that they will agree to a certain order.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: But this order cannot come from within humanity, it has to come from…

M. Laitman: The order will come not from within humanity but out of the spiritual system that will be revealed more and more, and the society will have to accept it, because these are precisely its stages of development.

Student: So, there has to be a group that's totally disconnected that will draw all of these things?

M. Laitman: Well, not disconnected, but within today's humanity, there are also such groups that develop in the direction of a new connection.

Student: And they simply have to seek this order that they're seeking.

M. Laitman: Yes, this will be a big step forward.

Student: Yes, like a leap.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (41:00) A friend in the Ten is asking, do the writings of Baal HaSulam have the virtue, the remedy of bringing peace in the world and solve the conflicts between nations? How should we use them?

M. Laitman: First, we need to learn what the laws of the new society are, and how it can express itself. And then it will be clearer to us how it can awaken from within us. Yes.

Student: Can I ask another question?

M. Laitman: Well.

Student: How, with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah, we can bring peace to the world? Is it possible, and how?

M. Laitman: Maybe out of what we're reading, we will understand.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (41:58) If I may try to understand that process for a second, because you sketched stages in our development. You defined the development of humanity towards the Creator as the revelation of the network of connection that connects among everyone.

M. Laitman: Which through technology…

Student: That's exactly my question. This force called technological development, no doubt it connects the whole world and brings all of the human activity in economy, in commerce, and in jurisdiction, everything into one digital realm where everyone is connected whether they want to or not. The question is, what is this force? Where does it even come from, this force called technological development? What is that?

M. Laitman: This comes to us out of us being able to separate us from intellectual development and emotional development to computer code.

Student: We copy ourselves, or project ourselves, our thoughts, our behaviors into a computer?

M. Laitman: Yes. I don't understand the language so greatly and how to explain it, but you'll understand this.

Student: So, it's interesting because you describe it as a force that causes an even greater dependency between…

M. Laitman: To greater dependency, to a very large opening between the factions, and people, and nations, and countries, and there will certainly be stages in this development. At first, the development happened with those who had it in their hands, and then those that don't have something of their own will have to enter and take the languages and rules that the first ones defined.

Student: Now, the expansion of technology and the entrance of the whole of humanity into one technological system. This is a stage on the way to discovering the spiritual network.

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, yes, that's together with that.

Student: Together?

M. Laitman: Meaning that first technology develops and connection between the groups that, that grab this development and, how to say, and accordingly they go into this new channel of connection and then everyone

Student: But in the beginning, nevertheless it's still according to the ego?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, yes, according to the ego of the individuals in the general human society, and where you will have in the world a few Tens and not more of those who are immersed in this.

Student: This means that just as once there were people who connected the world through ties of commerce and economy at a certain level, now you have these technological leaders who don't understand, they themselves don't understand what they're doing, but they are connecting the whole world?

M. Laitman: No, they understand what they're doing, but they're kind of organizing this network of connection between everyone, and then all of us accordingly will exist.

Student: Now, at a certain stage this network should transform from being egoistic, it should already undergo a certain correction, so there's some sort of a process of the wicked will prepare and the righteous will wear or…

M. Laitman: It's always like that. There's always this stage and that stage.

Student: And in order for us to start this transition of turning this infrastructure of dependency into a connection of bestowal, then religion has to expand there, this religion of love, love your friend as yourself.

M. Laitman: Also, yes.

Student: So, technology should become a tool that…

M. Laitman: That technology will accept these rules, also love and rules of bestowal, and we'll work together with that.

Student: And that it will help us to arrange the stages of development from one to another?

M. Laitman: Probably, yes. Probably, yes.

Student: It's fascinating, this whole thing, because 14 years ago in 2010 there were a few months where you were really in this. We had a few conversations with you, a certain team, and you talked about something you called the system. It wasn't clear to us back then. Nobody in the world was talking about artificial intelligence, but you described it. We have documents that we kept. Our friend, I think, was involved in some kind. You talked there about the technological infrastructure in order to promote a society to spirituality that will certainly be based on the wisdom of Kabbalah. And you really talked about it, that the computer, back then, artificial intelligence wasn't so common in our language. But you said the computers must copy upon itself our laws and start to help us to behave between us with more correct relations. Of course, before this whole thing…

M. Laitman: Well, now it's already existing in practice. It just hasn't entered broad use yet, but it already exists.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (48:51) It's still unclear how technology will help us arrange the masses, organize the masses.

M. Laitman: It will obligate us to arrange these connections between us such that we will have no choice. We will have to take on new relations between us.

Student: But how does technology help here?

M. Laitman: It organizes our life.

Student: It gives us what's convenient for us. What else does it do?

M. Laitman: Not precisely. What's comfortable for us in what direction? In what way?

Student: Whichever way we take it, that's where it goes?

M. Laitman: No. No.

Student: It has something of its own?

M. Laitman: Yes. we don't just use it however we feel like. No. These are actually rules that are in human society, inside the soul of the society. And that's why it's not possible that I will do whatever I feel like here. Also including all those who are arranging for us this new high-tech.

Student: I think I see nations that have technology, maybe the first ones who came out to outer space, I don't see that their nature changed. A man’s nature remains the same nature.

M. Laitman: We have yet to come to the connection between us and being so close to us that it will have an impact on the structure of man as well.

Student: I can understand how we might say that education, studying science, promotes man. It makes him more... But how can we depict, how can we say that it changes man's nature? Perhaps it can give him the force to somehow have control over himself?

M. Laitman: The strength to overcome himself, for sure, but where we start to see that not we are influencing this machine, this device, this system, but rather how this system impacts us and obligates us with what new laws, new connections.

Student: And it's not that the nations will somehow have to take upon themselves these laws,

M. Laitman: Of course.

Student: So, it still should be with man's consent?

M. Laitman: No. No, that's already societal laws. The new high tech, I don't know.

Student: But this machine, the laws in it is what man inserts into it.

M. Laitman: No.

Student: So, here I'm trying to understand.

M. Laitman: I can't put into the machine whatever I feel like. Also, the data and also the connection between that information. No. In advanced new high tech, I must be under the rules, subject to the rules that exist in society and in man's nature. In the connections between human beings. And that's already no longer in my hands.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (53:27) So, technology will know how to measure a person's intention?

M. Laitman: The interconnection between everyone, itself, will show us the intentions.

Student: What will technology do? It will give us feedback to the kind of connection?

M. Laitman: By it, we will be able to learn who we're connected with and how that connection needs to be in order to succeed, profit, arrange everything. Meaning, this technology will be already closer to the internality of a person.

Student: Yes. But either it brings us very close, but still a person will have to make a certain leap towards bestowal or it is the external vessel in which we measure, bestowal the external tool?

M. Laitman: I think it will manage us.

Student: It will manage us, fine, but still, it will be, men will still be under the will to receive in order to receive. Will we simply be more subdued?

M. Laitman: Not necessarily. If we will have to start receiving in the society the influence of the others, this upon him and him upon the others, then we will have to put into the society, in our behavior, spiritual, societal laws.

Student: If the laws will be spiritual but man is not corrected yet, he will only feel…

M. Laitman: By that he will feel that he needs to correct himself. Otherwise, the whole society goes down into a loss.

Student: So, the system will bring man closer to recognition of evil?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And to the decision that he needs to make the change.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (55:56) Fourteen years ago you talked about the simulator. If I understand now correctly, it will be possible to build seemingly an ideal society with a network, and then each one will be able to check himself with such a game or…

M. Laitman: Let's hope they will know how to do such a simulation to humanity, and how humanity will turn out from it, and will appear with all the results. Whether it will receive love your friend as yourself in a more broad and global manner. If it will go according to the law of the connections of minds. I am not accustomed to talk this way, but it's turning out this way today.

Student: So, it turns out that men will, I mean, what are we always looking for? An example. So there apparently they'll manage to build such an example where a person will constantly be able to compare himself where he is in his present state compared to some ideal?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, do you see that there is a direction where people will live more as we see today in this virtual world and if so, what is the role of this world?

M. Laitman: Our mind will be more in virtual actions.

Student: So, what will remain the role of this world, the physical world, what about it?

M. Laitman: From it we need to begin to build a new system.

Student: Yes, but after some stage. I mean, most of the time we see that a person spends most of his hours actually there, in the virtual world, and it's going more and more in that direction. So, the question is what will remain in this world? We will invest less and less in this world? It will be less and less important for us what we have in this world? Is this the direction?

M. Laitman: Look, food, sex, family, money, honor, knowledge. Only knowledge is above our corporeal life and can be that way. We'll come closer to it and see. But food, sex, family, money, and honor, no one cancels. You can't cancel that.

Student: Yes, but it all is going towards the virtual direction. They begin to do all of these things there. You can receive honor and everything there even more so. Millions can know you without any problem including even sex and everything else.

M. Laitman: I don't know. It's easiest for me to say I don't know. Because to say what I think is still early. We will see.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (59:20) You talked about those dozens of individuals, people in the world that will build this system. You also said that there will be a few groups that will promote the building of such system. What motivates them to build such a system?

M. Laitman: What drives us is the soul, which is the upper force, the Creator that awakens it and revolves it, spins it. Whether a person wants or not, he will advance in that direction.

Student: So, those who establish this system, they feel that they are doing it in order to discover this force that moves everything. Do they have other interests, egoistic ones?

M. Laitman: It could be yes, it could be no for the time being.

Student: What is our role with respect to those groups or individuals who are moving the building of this system?

M. Laitman: We will talk from time to time about this development and see the extent in which we are incorporated by it and to what extent we can influence it. And certainly, each of us, according to his or her connection to the society and to the wisdom of Kabbalah, can enter a new order, a new connection between the parts of the society. And this is how we will see our state, our role.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:01:16) I would like to understand for a minute. Baal HaSulam says that the Russian nation has made one primary scene, that they took communism, which is this idea of produce as much as you can and take as much as you need and made it into a corporeal system. They said we will take that spiritual idea and make it into a corporeal one we can enjoy. And there he explains that the purpose should be spiritual so the worker will enjoy that he is in bestowal, using our language, that the worker will enjoy bestowing to the system, and he discovers something great there, he discovers the upper force in the system. So, now we kind of lost our thread. Technology will bring us to, I mean, those who participate in its creation will realize the understanding that there is something greater here than what they planned.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Actually, they'll discover that the connections between us are not just one connection to another and another, but there's some sort of an order here, which is greater than what he was planning, or thinking, or his group, no matter how you look at it. This is one issue. So, there'll be a few individuals that will be involved in creating this technology. Most of the public will consume this technology. And then, like you say, maybe it will make their lives simpler, more convenient, it will leave a lot of time for them for intentions, etc. But I kind of lost it. How will all of this bring men to recognize the need for attaining the upper force?

M. Laitman: The upper force is the center of all this development, and without connecting to it, without receiving from it an example, we cannot arrange the relations between us correctly.

Student: Yes, but those are just a few. Those who, let's say study Kabbalah, or those who reach it from technology, I don't know, but let's say they reach such a need in a natural way. But actually, humanity has to reach the need for the upper force, and humanity will remain a consumer. It simply becomes more lazy, and everything becomes more convenient for them. How will all of them reach that?

M. Laitman: It's correct that they should all know me from the smallest to the greatest, but it's probably a long development. I don't know.

Student: Maybe we can look at it in a different way. Let's say humanity is like a person, or that it went through some process, so a few hundreds of years ago, there was the Industrial Scientific Revolution, people said there's no God, we don't need him, we can manage by ourselves. Science developed, and developed, and developed, and along with it, new social orders developed. As he says here, Nazism, Socialism, Liberalism, etc. And also, religions. Seemingly, you can see a scientist who's completely rational, and then he comes home, and he behaves according to some religious laws, the most primitive ones even. There's no connection between these things. Now, humanity, through technology, will reach a certain state where they realize there is a connection between these things. That it's not the religion they were thinking before, it's not the social order they were thinking of before, it's not the connections that they were thinking of before, but rather technology will bring a certain understanding that there is something higher.

M. Laitman: The web of connections between everyone is what they need to discover. And this network, this web of his internality, the force that awakens him, that awakens that network, that web, is the Creator.

Student: And it will be some reward in the connection with this system, with this network. What will be the reward of an individual person in this system?

M. Laitman: Knowledge is the reward.

Student: What will he enjoy? Will he enjoy using the system?

M. Laitman: From incorporating. From incorporation in that system.

Student: What about the greatness of the system?

M. Laitman: Well, yes, of course, if you're incorporated with it, then the greatness of the system is important, and what level you're in, with the inner force of it, etc.

Student: Let's say, he'll feel that the system is controlling him, that he can interact with it in some way.

M. Laitman: With it together in the right direction.

Student: So, he will keep the privilege or the freedom, the feeling of freedom?

M. Laitman: I don't know. There are a thousand questions here that I won't enter into.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:06:45) This is simply a huge lesson. Is this analogy correct? That we know that writing the oral Torah went through a crisis also. They didn't want to write, or to clothe it in words and put it on paper. Is it possible that we are reaching a stage where this system that includes everything, this seemingly technological system, is also like a new book that includes everyone with this one language, that from their spirituality the Creator will speak?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:07:52) So the internet we have today, is this the system or should it be something else?

M. Laitman: That's the system. Of course, this connection, we need it. We don't have other senses besides sight, hearing, etc. Therefore, through the internet we will connect between us.

Student: I mean, today people connect to the computer, although it is a higher system. They try to get something from there, their pleasure, their place in reality. They try to feel what's there. So maybe we can understand it from this form. But I'm asking, maybe I need to open up my computers for my children so they can feel everything that exists in this system. But we know it's not really this way. So, what should be the adaptation that the system that exists today should go through? How is it insufficient?

M. Laitman: This system doesn't supply me with anything that I need for my spiritual development. I need the system to correct my senses that belong to the reception of spirituality, to the feeling of the spiritual system. Not that I, that it comes to me through some wires. And I need, in connecting to the general system, to feel all its users. And myself, to enter into a connection with them.

Student: But today, that's what we have. Today, the system includes the views of all people in the world. It's there. A person comes, and he consumes, and he can very quickly feel what is the general view, or an individual view. You can very quickly feel all the forces that are operating within people that are there, their views. So, what is there besides people's views? Their desires, you can also feel their desires, what they write, what they engage in. So, what else needs to be there? I mean, this is what we say that connects between us, people's views.

M. Laitman: But what does it have to do with their opinions? Even this connection that there is between us. I don't need. What I need is what is in the essence of this system. Meaning, that, I don't know, which is occurring there in the wires, I don't need. I want something beyond that. Mind, intellect, idea, that is spiritual.

Student: But this depends on the reception device that every person has within himself towards this system. It depends on the individual development of each one. Can he receive or perceive from this system? Like, when I see it in a Ten, can I perceive one more, another less? So, the system that exists today simply includes the whole world, and one who knows how to extract from there the internality of the things, so he knows, and one who doesn't, doesn't. So, I'm asking, this system that you are intending for, does it have any more than simply transparency towards all the people in the world? Does it have more than that?

M. Laitman: Yes. I, that's what I think. That we need to discover the connection between everyone, how to connect to them, and to adhere. Here is already a new matter, because it's not like the connection with the individuals. It's connection with the general force. I don't have the words. I will think how to convey it. But we will roll into it. That's for sure.

Question (Women Moscow): (01:13:27) You were speaking about computerization, and that will bring us to some kind of ideal society. But for now, we see that it only brings a world war. The development of technology brings a new world order that erases the population of the world. So how to reach that same one force on the spiritual aspect? Should Bnei Baruch take over this virtual space? Should we develop this game? Should we insert it to the social system? Or make chips between us?

M. Laitman: We don't need to do any of it. That's the secret. For the time being we only need to learn what is within our power, what is within man's power, humanity's power, and then we will reach a conclusion in what way we can influence this global network.

Student: The scientists that invented the system, they're crying out that the AI is outside of human values, and nobody's listening, and this machine can destroy human logic and the essence of human thought. The machine thinks in a different way.

M. Laitman: The fact that the machine thinks differently may be true in some way, but we shouldn't be afraid. We need to learn all this and gradually take decisions and rely on the upper intellect, the Creator's intention, the intention to the Creator.

Student: And those ecological settlements that go out of the net?

M. Laitman: This is completely out of my interests.

Student: Could it be that what you're speaking about is like an intermediate degree, like the monkey between the animate and man, that now we're in an intermediate state between the corporeal man to the spiritual man?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, if we look backwards, can we learn something from these transitions that took place in nature compared to the next step? In somewhat?

M. Laitman: You can say so.

Student: Because we see that animals live in a sort of harmony, and once this jump happened towards man, so there was like an imbalance and forceful arguments started until humanity reached a certain balance. It could have gone anywhere. For instance, humans or young ones could burn the whole world with fire, but we were able to use it correctly. So here we're also speaking about like some kind of entrance into a new degree that can go right or left, but we have to flow with it because it's like the next stage of evolution.

M. Laitman: We need to accept the Creator as the upper one who determines, and He's got the last word. And we were given the first nine, as we learned, except for the last Sefira Malchut. And through them, he changes us, sorts through us, between us, et cetera. Therefore, we needn't be afraid. We need only to keep this law that I am the small and the Creator is the great. And all our actions are written, and we have to be responsible for them. That's it.

Question (MAK 39): (01:18:58) How will we know the Creator's last word?

M. Laitman: We'll know it.

Student: So, it'll be the development of our work?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:19:22) On the computer, I guess, and all of technology, there's nothing spiritual, but it lets us build systems that give us an ability to connect a huge amount of people and build these huge groups. And there, maybe you can do spiritual work. But the question is, a person who develops on a spiritual path, it's not linear. There's ascents, descents, and he keeps developing. So, it's pretty complicated. So, it's such big systems that will give an ability to connect a huge amount of people. It can also go through a process that there'll be descents and harmful states.

M. Laitman: Probably so. Probably, yes. We'll see. …

Question (Kiev 1): (01:20:41) If we take Kabbalists from 200 or 100 years ago, and also our generation, it was always a small group that, like you in the Rabash, but today in the Arvut system, we have thousands of people that are studying together, and we see how technology affects the spiritual development of humanity and the groups, let's say in our Ten. They're friends that are in different countries, but technology unites us and connects us. So how do you see AI affecting man's spiritual development, and not only organization?

M. Laitman: The system of artificial intelligence will connect us together. It will enable us to present ourselves as existing within one desire together with the Creator. That simulation will enable us to understand a little better who we are, what we should do with ourselves, meaning a direction. That system cannot give us higher data, but only a direction. Only a direction.

Question (Holland): (01:23:06) You nearly gave all the answers already. This new society centered, let's say, on the development of, with the help of the Creator, actually. It's also, let's say, the development of technology will be helped by the connection we have between us with the help of the Creator, will develop actually further. Is that correct?

M. Laitman: Yes. Undoubtedly, through the right connection between us, we come to such a network that is called the Creator. And that network will eventually want it to oversee us, to control us.

Student: The old way was always, let's say, the technology we have now, let's say, artificial intelligence, is mostly, let's say, a spin-off of military technology and funding. And so, the need in this new society of military organizations will be fewer to, I think, zero, so how do you see that, how the new development, let's say, will influence the financing, let's say, of this building the system together?

M. Laitman: I think that the new development  will come to us from wanting to be connected to a higher brain, to higher operations, to understand how we can understand the Creator, feel Him, and in this way we will advance. I don't know, I haven't thought that deeply enough to be able to provide answers. We'll work together.

Student: This concerns, let's say, innovation, maybe the innovation of innovation, a totally new approach. So, is it more, let's say, the connection between us that will lead us to new forms of innovation? And how do you see this way of innovating that it leads to technology that will help us, let's say, develop more in a Creator-directed society?

M. Laitman: The only new thing I see is that we are beginning to think more about the Creator, how we can understand Him, feel Him, be incorporated with Him in all kinds of actions that we do. This, to me, is called advancement or progress. That's it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:27:03) I want to use an opposite example we have today. In China, over a decade, the government initiated the development of a system that follows or locates civilians and the government themselves. It's called the China Social Credit System. It grades, and there's people that don't agree on how to use the information, but you can know how much you can trust a person. The reason for that is to take some measurement of trust about people or companies, so they gather information. For instance, if someone writes something against the government on social media, he'll get a negative score. But I guess it's used for all kinds of limitations for people who have negative scores. They prevent them from going outside of the country, from taking certain jobs, and so on. And because it's China, you can force everybody to cooperate and give the information and so on. In the West, things are a bit more scattered. And technology-wise, you can build such a system that knows about all human interactions and business they do and what they buy and so on. How can such a system become corrected?

M. Laitman: To turn plus to minus, or vice versa, minus to plus. I don't know. I can't imagine. I can't imagine it. I don't know.

Student: You're describing like an inversion that the net remains. The information is similar, but the goal changes. Not the ones using it, but the ones building the system. It like inverts.

M. Laitman: Think. You have your homework.

Student: When you say think, so we can imagine, you can sit and think how it'll happen. You're saying to think so, how can I think I can go to whoever put the system together in China and speak about Mark Zuckerberg and convince him how a system should work?

M. Laitman: Neither China nor Zuckerberg will help us. I think we need to know what is the difference between a spiritual force, which is the Creator, although we don't take this piece of information into account, and opposite that, what is the difference between this and the corporeal force?

Student: Yes, speaking to him won't help, but you said think, so what do you mean?

M. Laitman: Enough, it's enough for today. Remained with a little bit of lack. Okay, reader, what are we doing?

Reader: We have a letter by Rabash. Okay, so next part and let's sing a song first.
