The correction of back-to-back is extended from the illumination of the light of Ozen, which is light of Bina of the Rosh, whose posterior is to Hochma by way of “because He desires mercy.” When the Partzufim are devoid of GAR of Hochma, they are corrected in this posterior light of Bina, which suffices for them instead of GAR. This is the meaning of “their hinder parts were inward.” (Item 23, and Inner Light there)
The correction of back-to-face is applied in ZON, which qualifies the anterior vessels of Nukva to receive the anterior light. This is because the anterior vessels of Nukva are in illumination of Hochma without Hassadim, as Nukva is entirely the phase of Gevurot. Since it is so, she cannot tolerate the illumination of Hochma since the Hochma is not received without Hassadim. Hence, the anterior vessels have no correction except by preceding the coupling back-to-face. At that time, the male bestows illumination of Hassadim in those anterior vessels, and they become suitable to receive their illumination of Hochma. You see that although the posterior of the male is illumination which is all Hassadim, it qualifies the anterior vessels of the Nukva to receive illumination of Hochma. (Inner Light, Item 23)
As long as the Mochin of ZA are clothed in the vessels of Ima, the posterior of Ima in her vessels cover and conceal the lights of Hochma. They do not appear from within them outward inside ZA, but in the middle line of ZA from the Chazeh downward, where Yesod of Ima stops and her force of the posterior stops concealing the Hochma. In that state, the lights that have illumination of Hochma in them appear outwards from the Yesod of Ima inside ZA. (Inner Light, Item 50)
Even when AVI are both worthy of illumination of GAR and anterior light, still, only the male is completed in its anterior. The female, however, who craves Hassadim in her root, by way of “because He desires mercy,” is not yet awakened to return her anterior to the male and receive Hochma, except by the thing that compels her, which is through MAN. Hence, as long as she has no MAN, they are in a state of face-to-back, meaning the face of the male in the posterior of the female. At that time, the anterior lights of the male pass on to her through her posterior and grow coarser there. They clothe in the cover of her posterior light, and thus reach her anterior vessels. For this reason, these anterior lights are called “light that has become coarser,” as the cover of the posterior of the female greatly diminishes the light and lessen its value. (Item 23 and Inner Light)
Letters are always vessels, both the letters of the alphabet, and the letters of the Holy Names, and we must always remember that. (Item 32)
The NHY of ZA are completed only in illumination of Hochma. They are considered its posterior, where the shells grip as long there is no illumination of Hochma in them. (Item 26)
7. What is the posterior of the Nukva?
The posterior of Nukva are the NHY of Nukva, where there is the main grip of the shells as long as they lack illumination of Hochma. This is so because it is adjacent to the shells as it ends the light of Atzilut, and from it downward begin the shells, by way of “Her feet go down to death.” See the words “Grip of the shells”. (Item 26)
The records of the ten Sefirot of Gadlut of all four levels that were in the Roshim [pl. of Rosh] to the four kings DHGT, and the phase of MAN that they received from Yesod of AK, meaning the dot that Abba took and the Vav that Ima took, all those are considered the posterior of AVI that fell from the Rosh of AVI and became Guf. Each fell to the place of its Guf, and the Roshim that emerged from the phase of Ima, and the [letter] Vav that Ima took from Yesod of AK are the posterior of Ima. (Item 43)
They are the general seven kings, which are the MAN and the records of the Roshim of the kings. See item 8. (Item 25)
See above answer 8.
When ZA is in the state of back-to-back, he has only the posterior of Ima that shine in his HGT, meaning through the Chazeh. From there downward, Yesod of Ima stops, and for this reason, the NHY cannot be revealed in it, for fear of the grip of the external ones, see Item 6. When it obtains the new Hassadim and Gevurot in illumination of Hochma from the coupling face-to-face of AVI, the posterior of Yesod of Abba shine in it from the Chazeh downward, too, through the end of its NHY. At that time, it has complete posterior, as it receives the posterior of Ima in HGT, and the posterior of Yesod of Abba in NHY. However, before it obtains the five Hassadim from the coupling face-to-face of AVI, the posterior of Abba cannot be revealed in it, since is illumination of Hochma without Hassadim, and there is no existence for Hochma without Hassadim since Yesod Abba is long and narrow. In other words, it stretches in illumination of Hochma below Yesod of Ima, but it is narrow since it has no Hassadim (see Inner Light, Item 45). Hence, the posterior light of Yesod Abba does not shine in NHY of ZA before it obtains the five Hassadim. This is the meaning of “He takes Hassadim and his posterior is completed,” meaning the posterior of NHY, by the force of the posterior light of Yesod of Abba. This is because when it has Hassadim, Yesod Abba can shine the illumination of Hochma in it. (Item 29)
The entire construction of the Nukva is only of Gevurot. This is because she begins from the Chazeh of ZA downward, where Yesod of Ima has already stopped. Hence, her entire posterior is built primarily of the phase of Yesod of Abba, which is all Gevurot (see Item 11). This is the meaning of “Abba founded a daughter.” Yet, when she was in the state of back-to-back, she was using the posterior of ZA, and one wall served both of them, meaning the posterior of HGT of ZA, see Item 12. However, after ZA obtains the new HG from AVI, which are five Hassadim and five Gevurot, the wall of ZA is completed with the five Hassadim, and the posterior of Nukva are completed with the five Gevurot. After they are sweetened with Hassadim in the NHY of ZA, Yesod of Abba is revealed there and the Gevurot are sweetened and given to the Nukva through a coupling. (Item 29, and Inner Light there)
A Grip is like a branch that grips the tree and suckles its abundance through its holding place. Similarly, the shell grips the place of lack that she finds in the Kedusha [holiness]. This place is her tube, by which she suckles her entire force and sustenance according to the measure of deficiency she finds there, see Item 50. (Item 26)
They are the posterior of AVI that fell in the place of ZON. There is a hint in this combination of BDK HYA [Bet-Dalet-Kof Hey-Yod-Aleph], where the entire MAN of ZA that it raises to AVI have the power to induce a coupling face-to-face of AVI to draw Mochin of Haya from there, which is light of Hochma. They come from the sorting that ZA sorts from this posterior of AVI. BDK refers to correction and sorting, and HYA is the light of Hochma. (Item 33)
When the vessel is no longer fit to receive anything from the light of Atzilut, it is completely canceled from its erection. It is then considered that the vessel has been broken. However, when it is still fit to receive from the degree of Atzilut, though from a lower place than itself, and cannot receive from the upper light that belongs to its own degree, it is considered that the vessel has been canceled. This means that it does not operate in its function in its fitting place, and that vessel is canceled from the degree. However, the vessel has not been entirely broken, as it still receives light. Although it is below its value, it is nonetheless reception. (Item 4)
As long as the parts of phase four are mixed inside the vessel, the vessel is unfit to receive the upper light. For this reason, it needs scrutinies, meaning to sort out the parts of phase four inside the vessel, and separate them from there. Then the vessel becomes qualified to receive the upper light. (Item 4)
You already know that each Sefira of the ten Sefirot has ten Sefirot in itself. When we discern ten Sefirot in the vessel of Tifferet itself, it is divided to Rosh-Toch-Sof, which are HBD, HGT, NHYM. They are called “Three Thirds,” where the upper third is the place of GAR, and the two lower thirds are the place of ZAT. (Item 45, and Inner Light there)
Gevurot mean lack of Hassadim. Even though it is fit to receive light of Hochma, it is still called Gevurot since light of Hochma does not exist in the vessel as long as there is no abundance of Hassadim in it. (Item 30)
The appearance of light of Hochma in the Partzuf makes it grown [in Gadlut]. Beforehand, it was considered small [in Katnut], meaning that it is completed bit-by-bit until it attains its Gadlut, which is illumination of Hochma. For this reason, illumination of Hochma is called great light. (Item 49)
Mochin of Abba, meaning illumination of Hochma, is called Gadlut. (Item 19)
The ten Sefirot of the Rosh that emerge from the Nikvey Einayim are always discerned as three Roshim [pl. of Rosh]: The GE as the first Rosh, the Ozen as the second Rosh, and the Hotem and Peh as the third Rosh. Compared to the first Rosh, the two lower Roshim are considered AHP, in the state of ZAT and Guf. The second Rosh is its phase of HGT, and the third Rosh is its phase of NHYM. Hence, the ten Sefirot of Gadlut, too, which emerged in AVI of Nekudim, are dominated by this arrangement since they are first emanated from the light of Einayim. The first Rosh emerged first, called the looking of the Einayim of AVI at each other. Afterwards, the second Rosh emerged, called the Guf of Abba and the Guf of Ima, since the second Rosh is considered regarded as Guf in relation to the first Rosh. After that, the third Rosh came out, called Yesodot [pl. of Yesod] of AVI, considered as such with respect to the first Rosh, where the third Rosh is the phase of NHYM of the first Rosh. You will understand their stature according to their names: The first level, called the looking of the Einayim of AVI at each other, containing phase four of clothing and phase three of coarseness, are an incorporation of the two levels Keter and Hochma. For this reason, they are called Galgalta and Einayim, after the upper phases—Keter and Hochma. The second level is called the Guf of Abba, containing phase three of clothing and phase two of coarseness. It is called Ozen after the upper phase from the perspective of its coarseness. Also, the Guf of Ima is called Ozen because it contains phase two of coarseness, which is Ozen, and the third Rosh, which is Hotem and Peh, is called Yesodot of AVI. Thus, its level is in phase one, which is ZON of the Rosh, called HP. It follows, that the names go hand in hand with the levels. Although these Guf of Abba and Ima are not actual Guf, in the state of from-above-downward; rather, it is the phase of the third Rosh, and the name of the Guf relates only to the first Rosh. (Item 43)
See above answer 21.
YESHSUT is also divided into three Roshim as in AVI, in answer 21. The second Rosh of YESHSUT is called Guf in relation to the first Rosh, although in itself, it is a complete Rosh. The second Rosh, with respect to YESH, is the five Hassadim in it, and the second Rosh with respect to Tevuna is the five Gevurot in it from the phase of Tvuna, see Item 50. (Item 6).
See above answer 23.
See answer 11.
Complete adhesion of AVI face-to-face is when the Hochma of Abba shines to the Hochma of Ima, because then Ima is adhered entirely to Abba. (Item 42)
Two phases of judgements were made in the second restriction when the bottom Hey was incorporated in the first Hey: The first is the first Hey that was incorporated with the judgements of the bottom Hey. This is the state of weak judgements. The second is the bottom Hey being incorporated with the first Hey in the place of the bottom Hey. This is the state of hard judgements, meaning strong judgements, phase four itself. (Item 7)
See answer 27. (Item 8)
A gaze means bestowal. Gazing of the face means bestowal of illumination of Hochma. (Item 23)
This means increasing the posterior of NHY that is missing while it is back-to-back, by way of “their hinder parts were inward,” see answer 11. (Item 30)
The ten Sefirot are discerned in five phases KHB ZON, meaning the GAR are the state of self. However, when their whole self is only light of Hassadim, the five phases are called HGT NH, meaning five Hassadim. If they are in phases of Gevurot, meaning illumination of Hochma without Hassadim, the five phases HGT NH are called five Gevurot, so that there are three discernments in the five phases: If their self is Hochma, they are called KHB ZON; if their self is Hassadim, and they also have illumination of Hochma, they are called five Hassadim HGT NH; and if they lack Hassadim, but only illumination of Hochma is left in them, they are called five Gevurot HGT NH. (Item 42)
If the vessel descends below its degree, it causes lessening of the light to the vessel, since the upper one that descends to the place of the lower one becomes like it. (Item 4)
Einayim is an appellation for the Sefira Hochma of the Rosh. When Hochma of Abba bestows upon Hochma of Ima, it is called looking of the Einayim of AVI at each other, and this is the level of Keter of AVI. In YESHSUT, when Hochma of Israel Saba bestows upon Hochma of Tvuna, it is called looking of the Einayim of YESHSUT at each other, and this is the level of Keter of YESHSUT. (Item 42)
See answer 33.
MAN means causing a coupling. It is always in the phase of NHY or ZON since the female is corrected in the posterior light of Ima that is adhered only to light of Hassadim, and rejects Hochma. Hence, she does not turn her face back to the male to receive illumination of Hochma, unless she has some cause that compels her to. This cause is the ZON, which Bina has a connection to, to illuminate it in illumination of Hochma through the relation of Bina and ZON of direct light. Hence, when ZON rises to her for MAN, she immediately stops her posterior and turns her face back to Hochma, to receive illumination of Hochma from him, and makes a coupling face-to-face with him. (Item 39, and Inner Light, Item 24)
When AVI have the level of Keter, at which time Hochma of Abba gives to Hochma of Bina, AVI are adhered face-to-face from their Rosh to their Sof. It is so because then Ima is considered light of Hochma, like Abba, and AVI are in equivalence of form, called adhesion. However, when the level falls into the state of Guf, at which time only Bina of Abba bestows upon Bina of Ima, Ima is not entirely the phase of Hochma, as is Abba, since she receives only from his Bina. There is an apparent disparity of form from Ima to Abba, and thus, the coupling of Hochmot [pl. of Hochma] of AVI is called “complete adhesion face-to-face”. The coupling of the Binot [pl. of Bina] of AVI is called some adhesion face-to-face because she still receives from Bina of Abba, which has some illumination of Hochma, but is not complete adhesion. (Item 42)
The shells adhere to the posterior of the Nukva because the Nukva is the phase of Sium on the upper light. From her downward it is a place of darkness and not light. Hence, there is equivalence of form at the point of Sium of NHY of the Nukva to the shells, and this is why it is considered that the shells adhere there, see Item 49. (Item 26)
The root of the five Hassadim is in Yesod, which are below all the five Hassadim. Yet, when they are not in a coupling, their level is even, as there is an expansion of five Gevurot in them in the state of from-below-upward to the state of from-above-downward in all the five phases HGT NH. (Item 41)
The illumination of Hochma received in the anterior vessels of the female, which does not become coarser first in the posterior light, is called refined light, see answer 4. (Item 24)
Before the correction of lines, when ZAT were in one line one below the other, they were called one pillar, meaning one line. (Item 56)
See below answer 49. (Item 21)
All the Partzufim in BYA come from the diminishing of the level of Malchut of Atzilut, and all that is there. For this reason, they are considered the soldiers of Malchut and her armies. (Item 14)
Only the female phases of the five Partzufim of Atzilut were made of these seven kings that fell to BYA. However, the males were made from the new MA, as will be explained in its place. This is why they are named “parts of the Nukva”. (Item 11)
See below answer 45. (Item 30)
There are two distances and covers on the light of Hochma: one, by the force of the posterior of Ima. This cover is called “the wall of HGT”, as it is present only in HGT until the Chazeh. There is also the state of covering by the force of the posterior of Yesod of Abba. They, too, cover the light of Hochma as long as there is no light of Hassadim in the Partzuf. This cover is called the “posterior of the NHY,” as it operates primarily in the NHY, since this is its place.
When ZON is in Katnut, and their whole correction is from the posterior of Ima, which is the wall of HGT, you find that they both use this wall of HGT—half for ZA and half Nukva. This is because the wall of NHY that belongs to the Nukva has no place to be revealed because of the fear from the external ones, that they would suckle from it. This is because the wall of NHY is revealed only when the Partzuf is worthy of illumination of Hochma, see above answer 11. (Item 47)
The two lower thirds of Tifferet are called “the lower half of Tifferet,” whose meaning has been explained above in item 17. (Item 61)
This refers to the upper third through the Chazeh, which is the phase of GAR of the Sefira Tifferet, as written in answer 16. (Item 61)
The phase of Hassadim and Gevurot bestowed from the coupling face-to-face of AVI that contain illumination of Hochma, are the drop that raises the fetus, which are ZON. This means that through it, they attain illumination of Hochma and become grown, as there is only Gadlut in illumination of Hochma, as written in item 20. (Item 32)
The essence of the substance of the shells is complete evil. It means that it is unfitting to receive at all, as they are from the vacant space, which is the restricted phase four, not to receive anything from the upper light. You therefore find that it is discerned as substance without any vitality. However, after the breaking of the vessels because of the good and evil mixed in them, those vessels fell to those shells and became for them a Neshama and vitality. This is so because although the lights departed from the vessels, there still remained remnants of the lights in them, and those remnants became minute light that shines and sustains the shells. By this, the structure of the Partzufim and the worlds was made for them, like the BYA of Kedusha [holiness]. This was enough for them for their essential structure. However, after the sin of the tree of knowledge, and also when people sin, by this they cause proliferation of vitality and abundance to the Sitra Achra, according to the measure of the flaw that they blemish in the Kedusha.
This is so because the Guf of Adam is from the dross of the kings that were not sorted. It is mixed good and bad, as in, “a wild ass's colt is born a man.” When purifying one’s Guf, separating the evil from it, one receives upper illuminations to one’s Neshama and Nefesh according to the measure of one’s refinement. Afterwards, when one sins, the lights depart, and the garments from those illuminations fall to the shells, just as it happened in the breaking of the vessels, where because phase four was mixed in the vessels, the light had to depart and the vessels fell to the shell and became vitality for them. It is exactly the same when one sins, meaning when one mixes that evil that he has already purified himself from, and separated it from his Guf. The upper illuminations immediately depart from one’s Nefesh, and the garments of those illuminations fall to the shells and become vitality and nourishment for them. This is the meaning of the pursuit of the evil inclination and the Sitra Achra to cause the righteous to sin and to cling to Kedusha, as they have no vitality without it. When good and Kedusha proliferate, so does their vitality. In other words, the greater one is, the more good and Kedusha he has. You find that when the Sitra Achra fails one into sinning, causing the good and Kedusha to depart, and their garments fall to the section of the shells, they receive increased abundance of vitality from it. Hence, “Anyone who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater than him,” because the Sitra Achra chases him more. (Item 18)
The ZAT of AVI, meaning their AHP, is called YESHSUT. In the beginning, during the coupling of the looking of the Einayim of AVI at each other, YESHSUT and AVI are considered united in a single Partzuf. Afterwards, when AVI return to a coupling back-to-back, YESHSUT depart from them and exit as a separate Rosh on the level of AHP, becoming a separate Partzuf in themselves, see above Item 21. (Item 40)
The garments of the lights of Kedusha depart from the vessels because of the mixture of evil in them. These garments fall into the shell section, and the residue that remained of the lights that were in them add vitality and strength in the shells, see above Item 49. (Item 26)
When the bottom Hey descends from the Einayim of AVI to their general Malchut, YESHSUT, which are AHP of AVI, reconnect with the Rosh, which are AVI. Thus, Bina and Tevuna connect into one Partzuf. This is called the general Bina and Tevuna together in one Partzuf. (Item 48)
The General five Hassadim and five Gevurot means as they were rooted in Yesod of AB. This is because there, the root of the five Gevurot appeared in the light of Malchut that clothed in the vessel of Yesod, as well as in Malchut (see Part 5, Inner Light, Item 35). Also, the general five Hassadim were rooted there in the truncated Vav, as written in the above Inner Light. Simply five Hassadim and five Gevurot means that when they come in a coupling, each has HGT NH, both in Hassadim and in Gevurot, which are actual five Sefirot. However, the general five Hassadim and five Gevurot are only one Sefira: of Yesod or of Malchut. (Item 43)
The lights of Hochma have a way of appearing when they are covered in the posterior of Ima, but in the state of a thin garment. When they do not have that thin garment, too, they are too exposed, and illumination of Hochma without any garment comes to the first four kings of Nekudim from the posterior of Ima. This is why their breaking was hard. There is also disclosed Hassadim and Gevurot, which is a different matter because as long as there is no illumination of Hochma in HG, they are considered covered in the posterior of Ima, as in this cover, they are corrected in illumination of GAR. When they have illumination of Hochma, they are regarded as appearing outwards from the covering of Ima, as then they have their own stance. (Item 49)
The GAR are called Mochin, and this appellation applies primarily when the self are HG, not having illumination of GAR. (Item 38)
The departure of the light of Atzilut from the vessel, meaning illumination of Hochma, is considered a dead vessel, as there is no vitality for the vessel except in illumination of Hochma. This is why the light of Hochma is called light of Haya, meaning precisely when it has that corruption that she is no longer qualified to receive the light of Atzilut, meaning when there is a mixture of phase four in her. (Item 4)
After they have been disqualified from receiving the light of Hochma anymore, they are severed from the line of Ein Sof. This is considered that they have fallen to BYA and died since the line of Ein Sof ends in Atzilut. (Item 55)
See answer 54. (Item 3)
See answer 35. (Item 39)
The posterior of Bina that cover and conceal the light of Hochma is called the screen of Bina. (Item 50)
The vessels of SAG that are mixed in phase four, meaning the vessels of the seven kings that fell to BYA, are called dross. The sparks that descended to revive the vessels were mixed in this dross. (Item 4)
The place of lack in Kedusha is the place of the grip of the shell because the vessels and the garments that belong to that place of lack are in the section of the shells. For this reason, they, too, suckle from the abundance that belongs to those vessels and garments in their possession. (Item 26)
The place for BYA was prepared during the second restriction. This is because the bottom Hey rose there to the Einayim, and the AHP departed from the degree in RTS, and the point of Sium that was in Malchut of NHY rose to the phase of Malchut of Hochma of NHY. Bina and ZON of NHY went outside, below the Sium of the line of Ein Sof. By this, they were separated from the Atzilut and became a place for the separated BYA, from which those three worlds were later established. (Item 57)
From the place of the Chazeh to the Peh of the Rosh, it is always regarded as the place of the Rosh of the lower Partzuf. This is because each lower one comes out from the screen of the Tabur of the upper Partzuf that consists of the ten Sefirot of the Guf of the upper one that stand in this place from the Chazeh to its Peh. After the refinement of the screen to the point of equivalence with the screen of Malchut of the Rosh, it rises along with the records of the Sefirot of the Guf and is renewed in the incorporation of the upper coupling of the Rosh. The level that emerges in the renewal of this coupling belongs to the lower one. Thus, the roots of the ten Sefirot of the lower one, called Rosh, are extended from the ten Sefirot of the Guf of the upper one that stand from the Chazeh of the upper one to its Peh. For this reason, the Rosh of the lower one clothes over them, since this is its place and its root. (Item 45)
The vessels of the kings that remained in BYA after the Partzufim of Atzilut were sorted from them are called dross. They are in the section of the shells, which became the Neshama and vitality for them, called “minute light” of Kedusha, meaning a small and fine illumination that sustains the shells, see answer 49. (Item 18)
Sparks mean parts of reflected light. Each of the lights that descended from AVI from above downward to clothe in the kings were clothed in reflected light. When the vessels broke, these phases of reflected light descended along with them. Since the coupling stopped from them, they are considered to have quenched, been put out, having no more of the illumination of the coupling. (Item 9)
See above answer 66. (Item 22)
They are mixed with the self of phase four, and see answer 66. (Item 8)
When the degree descends to a lower degree, it is called a “fall”. This is because the upper one that descends to the place of the lower one becomes like it. (Item 26)
See answer 61. (Item 2)
When the anterior light is first received in the posterior vessels, before it comes to its anterior vessels, the light receives a covering of the posterior as it passes through them. By this the light becomes coarser and is diminished, and does not shine in its fullest extent even after it enters the anterior vessels. (Item 24)
The tree of knowledge was mixed with good and evil. This means that phase four, called evil, was mixed there. After Adam haRishon ate from the tree of knowledge, he lost his first Guf, which was all good, and a Guf from the serpent’s skin came to him, mixed with good and evil. For this reason, he is unfitting to clothe the Kedusha, except through purification and removal of the evil from the Guf. (Item 16)
When the female receives the upper light from the anterior of the male into her anterior vessels, it is called a coupling face-to-face. (Item 24)
Netzah and Hod from the state of back-to-back before they acquire the correction of lines, are only one vessel, without any apparent difference from one to another. (Item 46)
Bestowal of illumination of Hochma is the face of the male, and the anterior vessel, attributed to the reception of illumination of Hochma, is the face of the female. (Item 23)
See above answer 75.
This refers to the face of the male in the posterior of the female. This is because even when the female is already worthy of receiving the anterior light from the face of the male, because she is corrected with the posterior of Ima, she still craves Hassadim more than Hochma. For this reason, she does not stop her posterior in order to return her face to the male without a cause that obligates her to it. Thus, she receives the anterior light of the male through her posterior vessels, from which they are bestowed upon the anterior vessels. This coupling is called face-to-back. (Item 23)
Waste refers to the dross that remain after the scrutinies, see “dross.” (Item 9)
See answer 19.
See answer 19.
This refers to the actual substance of the shells, which are complete evil, unfit at all to receive the upper light, which is the restricted phase four that remained in the state of vacant space. (Item 18)
The sparks that have a mixture of good and bad are the Noga shell. When she receives the light in her good part, it is bestowed upon her bad part, too. (Item 22)
See answer 37. (Item 62)
“Some breaking” indicates that the vessel has not been disqualified from receiving Atzilut altogether, but was disqualified to receive from its own degree. It is still qualified to receive in a lower phase it had been in, and this is also called “cancelation.” (Item 4)
The correction of lines from in the state of back-to-back is considered “some correction,” since the complete correction is only face-to-face. (Item 56)
The correction of lines is called “connection” since the posterior light of Ima connects all the Sefirot until there is no oppositeness between them, and equalizes their form to one another. (Item 69)
The first level of AVI, called the looking of the Einayim of AVI, is also called “the Rosh of AVI,” see answer 21. (Item 45)
The first Rosh of YESHSUT that emerged from the Chazeh and above is called the Rosh of YESHSUT, see answer 23. (Item 45)
When a vessel is disqualified from receiving light, it is considered that the vessel broke. (Item 26)
When the vessel of Tifferet was divided into ten Sefirot in itself, three thirds are discerned in it: The upper third through the Chazeh is the GAR in it; from the Chazeh to the Tabur is the HGT in it, and from the Tabur downward it is the NHYM in it. (Item 45)
