1. Rav’s Introduction: We are continuing our topic of how to arise above our ego this is called the exodus from Egypt and come closer to in order to bestow to the Creator, to unite with him and to connect with him. This is called a lack of faith that we don't have the feeling of the Creator that he exists that he's about to help us that he's expecting to help us and only through his help can we keep the spiritual conditions, be connected to be in order to bestow, to see the world that everything stems from a single source.

This is what he tells Moses “come unto Pharaoh because I have hardened his heart” that is why does he hardened Pharaoh's heart what for? This is how we need to try throughout the whole life in whatever relates to spiritual action that is connection, all of the Mitzvot, that the command is that we have to do with all of these actions. We should see how weak we are and the more we will advance, we will be weaker and weaker so that with each and everything we will have to do. The spiritual actions are called commandments because the command comes from the Creator so then we all feel how much we are not capable even at all with anything to do it. Rather if only we turn to the Creator and we ask, we beg that he will give us the force of bestowal and this force we, truly logical rationally we don't need it but only if we want to advance towards the Creator be similar to him. Then we will ask that we will have this force and this is considered that we then get the force of bestowal which is called faith above reason which is above reception we get the force of bestowal, forces actually come from the Creator, but on us, what is upon us is the prayer. That the force of bestowal will ride upon our self-reception and we will be able to perform acts of bestowal in practice and when we will learn how to perform such actions in practice. Also, in that we will start to see that this way we are collecting, gathering our vessels to bestow from which we assemble the vessel our spiritual vessel, the spiritual Partzuf, the soul the form of the spiritual group and this is how we will advance. 3. S. (17:09) My sons have defeated me, is it the Pharaoh that we are defeating the backside of the Creator?
R. It is together because Pharaoh is also an outcome of the Creator, the Creator says to begin with I created the evil inclination and the Creator is inviting Moses to Pharaoh and it says come unto Pharaoh for I have hardened his heart and it is in the hands of the Creator. Pharaoh is an angel, a messenger, a force of nature that the Creator begets, awakens in order to teach Moses so that through this study that Moses learns from the disturbances, asking the Creator to overcome the disturbances. Moses gets two forces, the force of Pharaoh and the force of the Creator, the force of left and the force of right and then he understands how the system is built and he himself becomes the master of the system, it is considered that he is acquiring his soul.
4. S. (18:34) We experienced this desire, this huge desire of Pharaoh, what can we do to deal with all this coarseness? Have to go all the way with this desire, feel the lowest part for restriction and in this case how can we feel the depths and the size of the vessel?
R. It's not about restriction or screen or anything. You only need one thing; can you do anything against the desire or not? R. 7. S. (31:04) It happens that we get from the Creator sometimes the exact opposite from what we prayed for, how should we relate to this in the right way as a 10?
R. Each shall help his friend, you need to discuss it, you need to read together, you need to perform actions together as much as possible. R. R. Of course the Creator created this world and there's none else besides and it's not many forces the single force but it's on the level of the created beings who did not receive an evil inclination towards him. They don't have a point in the hearts, they're not yearning to discover the Creator and to connect with him in other words maybe not to discover the Creator beforehand, to understand the essence of life, the purpose of life, why is life worth living. Such people who don't have an attraction towards the source of life, they are living according to what we see according to their ego. Whereas those who are beginning to yearn for the source of life the essence of life they have that point that is pulling them and it is pulling them to the Creator. Then they already start to search for something, first they're searching for something they don't even know what it is but they feel that in this world they feel bad, this world doesn't satisfy them. Later on, they begin more and more to approach the point they find us and they start to advance takes a lot of time it's not time really but rather the first wrapping, the egoistic wrapping over the point in the heart, it is a very thick wrapping and it takes a lot of time, years, efforts until one goes through it breaks it and begins to already enter the group and the connection with the Creator in a way that is closer.
10. S. (35:36) What does it mean that Moses is holding onto the Creator and not letting go what is he holding on to?
R. It's like I started speaking today that the Creator is awakening the bath force and he is putting be before us some burdening and we cannot rise above burdening I don't want to come closer to the friends, I don't want to reach the group, come to the last season, and I'm am searching such justifications, and this is called pharaoh who is standing opposite us let's say and here I must find some opposing force and the opposing is a point that I can awaken and nevertheless even though I don't want to I do come to the lesson I wake up I connect with the friends, so how do I do it this is the point of Moses that I have to awaken within me and through it I want to awaken the Creator. 11. S. (38:38) What kind of practical actions can we take between us in the 10 to awaken the point of Moses here?

12. R. The Creator is saying this to Moses. Moses is anyone who's aspiring to rise to the upper world. Meaning the Creator will not do anything. He needs Moses, the person, to reveal the deficiency for spiritual ascent and He will work only according to that. This is the Creator's doing inside of a person. Meaning through our request to the Creator we must eventually develop a desire for help and the desire for help will ensure that what we receive from the Creator, later, will not disappear, we will not lose it. Until we are able to ask correctly, to cry forcefully, with correct intensity, the Creator will not give it to us because we will not have the prepared vessel to contain what He’s giving. Rather we will receive it and lose it. Our request has to be precisely suitable to what we want to receive from Him and when will this happen, we don't know. We have to manufacture a deficiency for the help of the Creator with as great a force as possible until we receive it and understand that we lack the correct deficiency. Only when we have the appropriate deficiency, we will receive help and inside the help we will receive the revelation of the upper world, Creator, our spiritual degree.
13. S. (48:36) What does it mean to ask correctly?
R. What do you mean, to receive correctly? I want exactly what the Creator has prepared to give me. I can't ask for something else, something different. Also, according to the weight, to the quantity and also according to the quality. This is called make your desire as His. You need to want to receive exactly what the Creator wishes to give since in that, you're coming to some form of adhesion to Him. Your desires become equal. Your will to receive becomes equal to His will to bestow and your will to bestow is equal to His will to receive, you connect with one another.
S. How to ask for what he wants to give you if you don't have a direct connection with Him?
R. You have prayer. What do you mean you like an action? Your prayer with the Creator is constant. You are a created being, you're not leaving the realm of the created being, you remained a created being. You're always connected to Him. The fact that you're in the state of a baby, a newborn in his mother's arms. It's with respect to the baby but not relative to his connection with his mother. He needs to now develop feelings, understandings, connections with his mother and through that he will grow up. In spirituality we grow up only according to our efforts. Where we wish to grow up. The fact that you are in your mother's arms and she cares for you, if you do not wish to recognize her then you are detached, disconnected. Only to the extent that you wish to know your connection with the upper one, you make efforts. Then the upper one, to that extent, He begins to reveal Himself to you. This is the revelation of the Creator to the created being.
S. It’s just that when you ask, how can I aim myself correctly in order to receive what He wants to give us because He's giving you an obstacle and you asked to connect with the friend so are, we asking for the disturbance to go away?

S. You try to pray with the 10 above the disturbances but you want to do something for the sake of the Creator -- not to ask but to do something for Him?
R. That's what you can do for Him, not more. What can a baby do for his mom? If he's asking her all those things that are good for his development, nothing other than that. He wants to drink, he wants to eat, he wants her to wash him, clothe him and that's how it is. If he wants these things, together with his mom, he agrees with her, he wants her care. He doesn't need more; she enjoys caring for him. That's what he gives her. Later he gives more, greater agreement, then his inner development. She wants him to develop, to grow. But it's all according to the degree. We have nothing to give to the Creator except for our correct behavior. That's the meaning of “my sons have defeated me”. We connect between and by that we wish to bestow contentment to Him.
14. S. (55:05) Since we don't know what bestowal is, how can we ask for something that we don't know what it is? Maybe, the motivation or the lack is in that we cannot remain as a receiver, so we simply asked to change our nature?
R. No, it's incorrect We will forever remain as receivers. The question is why am I receiving? What for? If I am like that baby receiving in order to delight my mom. this is called bestowal.
S. I mean to receive in order to receive for myself that's my intention.
R. So ask, ask.
15. S. (56:14) Many times corporeality hinders us on the path. How can we behave correctly even if the friends have the best intentions to connect, corporeality nevertheless stands in the way?
R. Corporeality never interferes. It's all called ‘help against.’ All those forces that interfere and disturb you were given to us so that we would yearn for the connection between us above them. Connection between us with the Creator, that's it. These disturbing forces of interference are helpful, are auxiliary forces. It's written about Pharaoh, who brought Israel closer to the Creator, to the Father in Heaven, Pharaoh. R. That will settle. You’ll come to such instances where you're in contact with the Creator and everything will settle, properly. And before that nothing settles in order to push you to the state where everything settles. Only forward, as I said in the beginning of the lesson, this is how we need to relate to disturbances. Ask and the place of disturbance, interference -- ask the Creator to help me connect to Him -- and that's how I go through the disturbance above it and I accept the disturbance. I take it with me and I move forward. Because this disturbance appears as a wall, it's impossible I can't find inside of me the strength of the forces. I cannot do it, that's it. I drop everything. But this way only prayer. And we learn in previous lessons that everything is attained with the power of prayer.
17. S. (59:26) Is the difficulty to connect or raise the correct prayer, a lack of faith?
R. I don't know what you mean?
S. Meaning, if we have absolute faith and we turn to Him, as it says, love the Lord your God with all your mind heart . . .?
R. Forget about what's written, I believe you know everything that's written. The question is to what extent with your inner structure are you able to realize those words? What you know, the book knows. The question is are your desires working accordingly.
S. This is what determines the intensity of the prayer?
R. We will advance and see.
18. S. (01:00:35) How do we search for what Rav has prepared for us? How is it best to discuss it?
R. As much as you can. It doesn't matter the language, or what form. Speak with the friends with the friends, what does the Creator demand of us and how should we come close to Him? With which efforts? The most important thing, of course, is prayer. And prayer from all of us, that’s what’s important. Only to get organized between us, arrange ourselves and see that this wall that’s facing us is the Creator's doing so we would try to Him. It is like the West Wall, The Wailing Wall. We come and we cry, and we have to break through it to the Creator. And if we would pray correctly, we would break through it.
19. S. (01:00:55) Today you said, Moses is each one who is trying to rise to spirituality, and a spiritual rise is according to our efforts. So, the extent of our efforts is no matter what the outcome, you do the work?
R. Yes. What's important is not what we attain but the effort we invest towards it and the attainment will be the result of that.

20. S. (01:08:05) When there is a burden or hardening of the heart and the Creator takes from us the ability to pray. what can we do about it?
R. We need to learn the benefit from the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon. The Creator created the desire. How did he arrange this desire so eventually we will be able to reach an understanding and awareness of the degree of the Creator? He broke this desire into many desires that are egoistic and separated from one another due to the force between them and then we can see, this is called ‘a field that the Creator has blessed.’ As much as we can come close to one another, in that, we can bless this field, we can produce crops from and this is our work. Our work is not concealed before us. Rather, we have friends, we have connections between us. The Creator arranges everything. As he writes in the article, The Freedom “the Creator brings a person to the good fortune and says take.” There, where the Creator brings us to, we somehow get along. We arrange ourselves in a 10 and it is not a coincidence, it feels like a coincidence but it's not. In this way we need to start our work of connection and that's how we will advance.
We have a place of work, we have a group, we have a method, we have a teacher, books, everything is prepared, it's all set up for you. When I arrived with Rabash in 1979, roughly, there was the Study of Ten Sefirot, TES, and The Book of Zohar 21, volumes, and that's it. there was nothing besides that, nothing. And later we started to publish but before that, nothing. Read it. Either you read TES -- and you know what is there to understand about TES. R. Whether you speak about it or not it is a matter of feeling in the 10, the character of the 10 there is such that talk and such that don't talk but you read an article and then later you can discuss all of the fine matters that we see in the article could be better than just talking. Read, not a lot, choose ahead of time what you're going to read and then we will scrutinize how we are realizing what is written there. It must be a very unique passage to awaken us to reveal the state among us and how from that we reach the spiritual ascent.
39. S. (01:51:19) About the sufferings, how obligatory are the sufferings and do they hasten us on the path?
R. I don't know how to tell you, let's say you love someone and let's say you're a man, you are thinking about this at the end of the week that you are going to meet with her and in the meantime until the weekend, you are under pressure, you are in sorrow that you don't have a meeting with her right now. S. There is a great fear that we don't come with a sufficient deficiency, not enough of a vessel to receive all of the abundance?
R. Correct there is no deficiency whatsoever, the deficiency is not in that direction. Deficiency needs to be for connection, for unity, for mutual help, for support and what do you want each of you, how can I grab onto what I deserve.
S. That these are just the mean sending the connection between us these are the means and you're speaking about the whole picture not to be satisfied with it but for the whole picture of the end of correction?
R. I'm trying to understand you and I can't.
S. The great deficiency is for what?
R. The great efficiency is to be connected with all of the created beings to give the Creator a place to be filled by him; that is my deficiency. For all of the creatures to be connected and that there will be a place for the Creator to fill them and for him to be happy by that, that the Creator will be King over the whole land and on that day the Creator will be one and his name one.
47. S. (02:08:42) It is written here who understands that the Creator needs to give him great help. He is worse off than the others, the people then his prayer is possible to request for this greater help comes to those who have the greater deficiency or that they see the greater truth?
R. Greater help comes to us from the upper light and the upper light fills, desires according to the deficiencies of them, according to their ability to receive it and to improve by that. Not according to our calculations and I don't think we need to make calculations in this. The direction of our thoughts and our inclination needs to be towards the upper light. 49. S. (02:11:39) You said that we must reach the correct deficiency when we form the conditions for the Creator to be revealed in the creatures, how do we reach the correct these deficiencies? What are the conditions?
R. I want to live a simple life, I'm not confused I want to feel simple that there are spiritual actions that I seemingly must do to come closer to the friends, to connect with them, to understand something to feel something in spirituality that I need to do acts of bestowal and the main thing is attained only through the acts of bestowal. But I feel in attempting to do some kind of act of bestowal that I feel resistance which is done to me by the Creator on purpose, you could say this is Pharaoh. But who is Pharaoh, the posterior of the Creator and then I need to turn to the Creator and to ask him to help me to ask from you in the right way in order to receive the force to overcome the disturbance that you put before me and in this way that I will come closer back to you. As I have no other possibility of doing so. This is what I need to do.
S. How do I get closer to him to ask help to overcome the obstacles?
R. I want this yearning, this lust to come close to him and this is what fills me. This is what we are missing in this world in the love and connection between us. That we don't understand correctly what the right connection is, where I am yearning for the other and not that I am already hugging him. The moment I hug him one neutralizes the other and this is why we need to constantly be in the connections even in this world to leave some form of a deficiency. In spirituality we do this since we do a connection above the will to receive in rejection and this way our vessel does not disappear or get lost. In spirituality it comes out of the connection, the problem is people don't know how to love, that we have to stay in a deficiency.
S. It turns out that Pharaoh, the obstacles and all I want is to have the yearning?
R. Of course, Pharaoh remains as the posterior of the degree, all of the coarseness remains and upon the coarseness we build the purification, the refinement, the whole spiritual vessel is filled with the will to receive. Even more and more that we grow with the will to receive. Do you understand how it is?
S. What is this new vessel that we build?
R. Yearning, yearning, the longing and aspiration, this is what I need as I am afraid for that to be canceled out. This is why we come to a connection, to an embrace to adhesion only to the extent that we build a system with which we do not cancel our longing but rather we make searching for it to grow and this is called above reason. Then we are in this eternal feeling of fulfillment that can constantly grow. In this world we don't understand this.
50. S. (02:19:21) How do we yearn for something and receive repulsion for it?
R. In spirituality we are taught how to do this, I also didn't know and I learned this on myself and you can't learn this theoretically from a book. In corporeality we need to try to find a form between people and between men and women.
