Rabash. Article 23, 1988. What Beginning in Lo Lishma Means in the Work

1. Rav’s Introduction: Our work is to reach adhesion with the Creator. That is actually the purpose of all of creation. All of creation as it came out of the Creator moved and distanced itself from him in his effort in his action so it should return back to him. Not in the same way that all of creation came out of him and removed itself from him but in its effort now and the understanding, awareness, and exertion it is coming back to the Creator and entering into the adhesion with him the way it was before creation. Where do we take the power to do this, this intention, the direction of that. All of this we are learning about. In the beginning we do not understand at all why we need to have this. where will we get the power for it? We have no interest in it. What does it mean to return to the Creator? Returning is done according to equivalence of form. He is merciful, you should be merciful. He is grateful, you should be grateful meaning we need to receive the qualities the thoughts and desires like the Creator's.

Accordingly, I will come closer to such an extent that I will be able to feel Him, to touch Him, to connect with Him and Unite with Him. This is our work. In this process we go through the two stages. The stage where we do not feel who are we, what are we, instead we live just like everyone lives in our world and in that I'm not that far away from the world of animals, the animate world. Then in the second degree is when I begin to climb from the animate degree to the speaking degree, the one that resembles the Creator. We are going through the stages only to the extent that the Creator shines his light on me. Whereby He draws me near according to the influence I receive from Him and the illumination I receive from Him. I am drawn to Him and accordingly I can advance, neither more nor less. So what is my work? Where is my part in it? I wait, I expect, I am waiting, I'm asking, meaning I'm in a holding pattern. When will the Creator shine on me and give me the possibility to approach Him?

The state I'm in where I live like the rest of the people is the state of the animate degree. In the state where I begin to be in the speaking degree, the one who resembles the Creator, starts with a feeling of discomfort in the animate degree. I do not feel well. I'm pushed to advance towards something, I wish to get to know someone higher than me and so on and so forth. Why am I alive, who am I, what am I. Later another light shines on me from above a certain illumination  and  I advance myself more and more towards the Creator. I don't even know what is He, who is He? What am I in this illumination that shines on me and shakes me up and accordingly I perform various actions until I begin to see that there is a whole point how to add from myself to all of these things.

There is a certain awakening and in this way I am drawn further. The states where I try to reveal the upper force that is managing me that is caring for me, that is pulling me, but I still do not recognize it fully. Those states are called Lo Lishma . Why? Because to the extent that the Creator awakens me to that extent I am awakened. I am drawn to Hm. It turns out that there's still no connection between us and my actions are called Lo Lishma. The Creator still is not felt. I still do not aim myself; I do not concentrate all of my forces in my mind and in my heart to come closer to him.

Later I feel that the Creator is pushing me away from him more and more and he is bringing me closer to Him. These movements become more and more real and that is how I advance. Until I enter a state called Lishma where I begin to go through stags, through states where I feel that I am in connection with the Creator. I to Him and Him to me. In this way, I advance towards him more  and more, more  deliberately in a way that is felt more clearly. However I begin this connection in Lo Lishma which is where we are right now. Each one has his own degree. Let us read this article and scrutinize the stages we have to go through. First of all, let's understand that the purpose of our lives and the purpose of creation is to reach Lishma by that we attain everything.

Article 23 1988 (09:37) What Beginning in Lo Lishma Means in the Work

2. R (10:53) If you have questions you don't have to wait till the end of the article but if it belongs to what we are reading right now you can ask questions on the way. But ask on the point, shortly and on what is written so that everyone will understand more than they may understand otherwise.

3. S (11:22)  He writes about women children are those qualities in me right?

R.  We are not talking about the women, children, little one, rather these are different types of people that are worthy of reaching Lishma but they're still in such states. We will talk about them later. We are not talking about little kids and women and so on and so forth. It all speaks about people who wish to reach Lishma that have a certain inner deficiency and we divide those into little one’s children, women, men. We will see them

4. R (13:06 ) Meaning there are several relationships, several attitudes of a person towards what he is going through. Either he's studying to know, to be great or to become more famous, to be respected, so that he can manage other people. It is in the will to receive all kinds of  tendencies.

5. R (15:08) We see here several attitudes towards what we have to do. Either we keep it from within ourselves or that the Creator commanded us or because people will respect me for being so wise, such a special person. We are talking about motivation. What is the motive for a person that makes him want to advance and to be wiser and be seen as more beautiful in the eyes of others

Continue reading (15:58) “The second discernment in Lo Lishma…” read this paragraph twice

6. R. (18:51) Meaning even though he keeps the Torah he is in the studies, and he does all of these actions that we read from these articles  and everything that our sages recommend that  we do. Nevertheless, it is very distant from the correct intention. Nevertheless it is part of not for Lo Lishma that brings us to Lishma. In other words a person comes from far away to the correct intentions. to the correct attitude, to life, the Creator, to the true reality, to the purpose of creation. I hope that you are asking on point and that is why I'm letting you ask.

7. S. (19:49) What is this reward and punishment and pleasure in the engagement of Torah and Mitzvot?

R. That is what he feels like. That the more he engages in it, the greater the reward. The question is what kind of a reward ? Is it the people respecting him or he himself begins to feel himself as great. There are all kinds of different forms to it.

8. S. (20:23) What Mitzvot is Maimonides talking about?

R. He's talking about all kinds of actions by which we come closer to in order to bestow, Lishma.

Continue reading (20:43) “The third discernment is in order to annoy

9. R. ( 21:11) Because by that he wishes to bring everyone down. He wants to cancel everyone. Let us explain what is Lishma.

Continue reading (21:28) “Let us explain what is Lishma, and the five discernment in Lo Lishma..”

10. S. (23:19) To annoy and to envy and to be envious, I don't understand these things?

R. Envy is very good because it can advance a person; there is good and there is bad envy. It’s written, “writers envy increases wisdom”, in other words when people envy one another it advances them. They do not wish to bring each other down specifically that the other will not know but rather the more I see others as more successful it can actually pull me forward and I’ll advance as well, so writers’ envy will increase wisdom. But there is also the opposite, negative envy, bad envy, that what I do not know I also want everyone else not to, I wish to bring everybody down. This is something else.

S. Is that to annoy?

R. Yes.

11. S. (24:39) These three approaches in Lo Lishma, out of the five they can happen in parallel?

R. Yes, they can replace one another in different times and different states of course. It's not like you see one and then the second and the third and they change, rather they can come to a person in different states.

S. What is the approach if there is such an approach to work with these discernments? What do we need to close them or what?

R. No, no, no, we will read about it shortly; we need only to be drawn towards Lo Lishma, and along the way we go through all these kinds of states. We go through them; we return from them and we go through them again and we turn to them again each one goes through them in his own way. The important thing is to be in the right direction as much as possible which is through the connection between us and aim ourselves to the Creator.

12. S. (26:03) What is the work with spiritual fear in the work?

R. The work with fear is when I am concerned whether or not  I will be able to carry out what I have before me on the path. This is the work with fear: Can I approach the Creator; can I awaken him to help me and so on and so forth.

13. S. (26:41) What is the difference between the connection with the Creator in which the ascends and descends begin and the connection with the Creator in Lo Lishma?

R. Not that is not related to one another, but we wish to come closer to the Creator and this path; is the path that goes from Lo Lishma to Lishma, meaning from the will to receive to working with the will to bestow and in that we wish to be.

Continues (27:20) “This is why we should make two distinctions concerning... “

14. R. (29:31) Meaning of course everyone will eventually reach for Lishma, according to the thought of creation we have to reach all the way to the final adhesion, everyone will get there, anyone will not be cast away from Him, we have to return to our roots. But the question is in what way? How many incarnations will we go through, fall and get up? How to advance in  what we are talking about? We are talking about how to return the person to the connection with the Creator and the more advanced and good connection and the quickest and most loyal connection. That is what we are learning about, so that we ourselves will be able to advance through prayer and exertion in the common connection between us, and in this way we will independently reach this partnership with the Creator. But of course all the created beings will return to that form of the first man, as it was before the breaking and that is how it will be at the end of correction.

15. S. (30:54) By working in order to be respected, in that I’m drawing the reforming light?

R. Yes, you have it in everything. Yes.

16. S. (31:15) Whoever is learning in order to annoy it says he cannot attain, is he thinking that way or he really can't?

R. Because he is studying in order to annoy and cause harm to others, he does not advance to the purpose of creation, but he advances with his intellect and his negative emotions; and little by little he will correct himself later, but the path is crooked. Hence, from the very first moment we are in a ten just as Baal HaSulam writes to us in The Giving of the Torah and Arvut articles, in these two articles; we have to think how we are in the connection.

17. S. (32:18) We are talking about discernment that we do not understand yet. My question is we are talking about five discernments, now we only talked about three of the five and my question is, the first two discernments talk about the relationship between the friends or the Creator?

R. It is mostly between the friends; in order to annoy, in order to cause harm to someone, not to help someone, to disregard what the Creator wants for us. Let’s continue and try to understand.

18. S. (33:41) Why did the Creator create such a state in a person that he engages in hatred of others if it is not in the Creator?

R. But the Creator created the person completely diametrically opposite to Him so that men would be able to reach the Creator and come to know Him. Because you can't know Him except through his opposite. So, what exists in men is all the opposite qualities of the Creator; it is an inverted copy of the Creator, that’s what Human is. Man is not similar to the Creator, in the future after he is inverted himself through corrections then he made himself similar to Creator. But from the beginning “man’s inclination is evil from his youth”, and that’s  how he lives, this is how he exists. He gets to know himself and then to know the Creator as much as he is opposite of Him and as much as he needs to invert himself. This is only possible when the Creator does the work for him and that is why the work we're doing is called The Work of The Creator; we need to only ask and be prepared for all of those changes the Creator will do in us.

S. How do these qualities exist if they don't exist in the Creator?

R. He created it, and He sustains it; He said it about Himself “I created evil inclination”. You see that all of reality includes plus and minus, and they are at odds with one another and have a special balance between them which all of nature exists.

19. S. (36:01) Why is it written, it would be best if he were not created, the one that is annoying? Because he will be corrected as well.

R. But right now he is in the form that is completely, completely opposite to the Creator. He wishes to disturb everyone else from reaching the goal. Meaning these qualities also exist in nature and we need to try to identify them in each one of us, it is certain that each one who will try will find it in himself; that he does not want others to advance.

20. S. (36:44) The motivation that brings a person to engage in Lo Lishma for a reward, that the Creator will give him health and abundance in the reward, does that all work? After all, is it not just like that people for thousands of years are engaging in Torah and Mitzvot for such motivation?

R. That is why they're not reaching for anything; they go around their ego and that is. We are in this special time where people can begin to correct their nature. Only we are entering that e time called “the last generation” where we can correct ourselves, see all of creation, get to know it and advance towards its end of corrections. Before that, there was nothing like that, only a select few in each generation like Rambam that we read and Baal HaSulam, and so on.

21. S. (38:10) This work in Lo Lishma satisfies our ego but we, as a ten, are striving towards bestowal for Lishma so why do we need to be patient to go through the states of Lo Lishma

R. We do not need to come out from Lo Lishma to Lishma, as you said. Where do you see this? I do not see in people that they wish to reach bestowal, love, connection. Your arguments are not correct.

22. S. (38:58) What do I need to do if I discover that in one of the states I'm working in order to annoy?

R. Continue. Continue to study and slowly, gradually you'll see whether it is correct, or it just seems to him. These are still such small degrees that everyone has these negative states mixed up.

Continue reading (39:38) “This is why they said about it From Lo Lishma he will come to Lishma..”

23. R. (42:59) The situation is clear, yes. And, what is the importance of such a Mitzvot where he says that he remains like all of the secular ones and what values to such actions according to his opinion or Reason.

Continue reading (43:25) “However, from the perspective of the Halacha..”

24. R. (45:17) Meaning there are several possibilities here to show himself towards others towards the Creator towards the host towards himself and it is all things we have to see how these worked out with our spiritual work.

Continue reading (45:38) “By that, we explained the difference between one who studies in order to annoy..”

25. R. (47:45) Yes, because he does not want to harm others but rather all together just wants for his own benefit.

Continue reading (47:57) “However, we should ask at the end of the day he is performing the act in full..”

26. S. (50:13) Ultimately, the article talks about man's intention relative to reaching Lishma and also his state in Lo Lishma. We understand that through the friends we come to the right intention. How to truly reach the correct intention when you do this action?

R. That is why he explains to us, I don't understand the question. There is no place to ask here what you are asking.

S. The intention here is something elusive that slips from between your fingers you cannot grasp it.

R. You probably have yet  to come to the scrutiny of the intention. And, I don't understand why you are doing or not doing these things or other things and the main thing for us in our lives is to know how we are aimed towards the purpose of creation. Because everything is attained by the intention the deed itself Corporal, spiritual doesn't matter what action they are all measured by the intention in them.

S. Even if you wish to do the true intention relative to reaching Lishma that also comes from within your egotistic desire in you.

R. That is something else whether it's egotistic or not that is something else we correct slowly slowly along the way. That is for each of us like that there is no claim there and the Creator says that I have created the evil inclination.

S. So, How to truly reach the correct intention?

R. First, we need to discern what intention we are in and then by which way we can come to the intention in order to bestow. That is it.

S. Meaning?

R. This means that you have to listen more and maybe read a few more times what we just read.

27. S. (52:42) Yesterday, we read the article several times and it turns out that wherever we look I worked for everyone but the Creator. Whatever I do, I go back to one of those five degrees and I cannot see any way out of it. It is seemingly impossible; I constantly return to one of those five discernments and the question is how from the work for the sake of others you can come to work for the sake of the Creator?

R. This will come on its own if you try to work correctly with people. You will truly feel that there is no difference between relating to people and relating to the Creator. It may be a wonder that it is that way but what differences are there? If I want to bestow than towards the Creator’s beings I can scrutinize myself more clearly whether I am in bestowal or not. That is why, it is written from the love of the creator’s beings to the love of the Creator.

Continue reading (54:08) “And the most important in the Lo Lishma is that it brings to Lishma..”

28. R. (59:19) By what should we change a person yes so there we have here five possibilities yes. And hence, there are five discernment in Lo Lishma before us which I called. 1- By coercion. The second, one who studies in order to annoy. The third, one who studies in order to be respected, as we read already in the words of Tosfot. For reward and punishment, as in the words of Maimonides and The fifth, the matter of reward and punishment for non-corporeal things, which is something that everyone understand. But he wants reward and punishment for spiritual pleasures, as written in the Introduction to the Book of Zohar and it is written this way, And the final degree in this division meaning Lo Lishma is that he falls passionately in love with the Creator, as one falls passionately for a corporal love, until the object of passion remains before one's eyes all day and all night, as the poet says, “when I remember him he does not let me sleep.”

Reading (01:58:00) “But with the fifth discernment in Lo Lishma..”

29. S. (01:02:14) The state of Lo Lishma, how important is the restriction on the will to receive, reward from other people?

R. Well it is always important, It is always important we need to constantly check ourselves what exactly do we want to attain and for what?

30. S. (01:02:52) It is written there; It is highlighted to tell a person what would be important. Question is some we do for ourselves to understand what is important for ourselves or it's some action we can do in the Ten?

R. In the ten, don't we do what is important to us?

S. The question is do we scrutinize what is important to us with the Ten?

R. Yes, of course, The Ten needs to define what its goal is and how to advance towards the goal and to constantly be concerned with more and more advancement towards the goal.

S. It means, We truly need to check individually and try in the Ten together?

R. Not to that extent but the main thing is that every and all the Ten together in the mutual support we advance that way.

31. S. (01:04:05) Is the transition from the Lo Lishma to Lishma only through suffering?

R. It depends on what suffering is. If I understand that I advanced towards Lishma then even if I'm suffering but this suffering is justifiable. It is like in hard labor I can see before me a great reward.

S. The suffering, the torment is physical or more like sorrow?

R. No, suffering isn't usually bodily.

32. S. (01:05:10) It is talking about the necessity and the scrutiny of a person in the group of himself, his intentions, what he has to analyze, scrutinize himself and his actions, is this what the article is about?

R. Yes.

33. S. (01:05:33) According to Maimonides the reward he was talking about here? What is he referring to that you have to act in Lishma before the friends in the Ten from that to see the type of Lishma that you are in or that's the correction or how to use the scrutiny of what kind of Lishma you are in?

R. I recommend that you constantly think about how I am operating from the center of the Ten upon all the friends in the positive way. That will be good with certainty also for the Creator and it will advance everyone, and it will also not let me fall to some forms of Lishma because I'm constantly thinking how to advance all the friends.

34. S. (01:06:46) Can we say that it is like driving an automatic car? You only step on the gas just to connect to the group and the gears change by themselves and you just don't pay attention to it.

R. Correct, the person who advances all the time with this society together with the society sees that all these stages are happening to him.

S. Is there something to do when you identify in one of those states?

R. No, only for the truth only for connection.

35. S. (01:07:36) A person advances according to how worthwhile it is to work. When we give examples to each other  in the Ten, how can we attract the friends and touch the friends in the best possible way?

R. I don't know, Rabash writes about this quite a lot, how we can advance friends in the most beneficial way by example, by support, by connection,  true connection, yes.

S. Let's say someone or lacks something corporeality you can tell that a connection between us will work out?

R. No, usually we need to then as much as possible help every single friend to arrange things for himself corporeally.

36. S. (01.09:13) Are  all five reasons for Lishma, a person has to go through?

R. No one can be intermingled in the other and each of us in a certain specific way and we don't need to be counting them. There are those that happened in such a way that you don't feel some of them.

37. S. (01:09:06) What does it mean that we don't believe the Creator?

R. Don't believe in the Creator meaning we don't want to observe what he commanded.

38. S. ( 01:09 :48 ) I heard you for years saying that the group has to keep and  protect everyone except for the one who slanders. Anyone who slanders has no place in the group. How do we know that slandering and annoying is a state of work, how to reconcile this?

R. There is no class that has been clarified here. Just being taken it means then knowing is the one that disputes everyone separates us therefore he seemingly has no place in the group, but we need to scrutinize these things gradually so there will be a benefit for everyone.

39. S. (01:10:34) Why did the one who studies the light not reform him?

R. He's learning but he's learning strong and good and wants to succeed but this is all in order to break the others to show himself, be better than all of them.

40. S. (01:11:11) In our work with Lo Lishma where do we focus our work?

R. I do not understand

S. In the work of Lo Lishma where it's a focus of our work? Is there a certain place to focus on?

R. Yes on connection on connection there is nothing else there is no more than that.

41. S. (01:11:32) It looks from the article that the intention of Lo Lishma does not exist at all; the light has no foundation to exist on?

R. What do you mean Lo Lishma does not exist?

S. That is what they asked.

R. It's not correct, what do you mean the intention of Lo  Lishman does not exist. In each and every one there is an intention of Lo Lishma that's where we start with.

42. S. (01:11:59) It says deeds make one hate the others in the group?

R. The deeds that have to do with the hatred, from one to the others in the group make it  so one advances alone..

43. S. (01:12:19) How is it expressed to advance the friends in the Ten?

R. When I'm giving them an example, how to advance. I show them how to advance. I draw them  toward advancement.

44. S. (01:16 :05) In the introduction it feels like rejecting religious people how to work with the article? It sounds in the article why are rules for religious people?

R. Instruction for religious people? We don't want to relay these things not too religious or secular. We are speaking of humanity that it has any inclinations here or there in all different forms. That is why we want to see this article. What is it related to Orthodox or secular? This is how humanities are divided usually every generation and we need to see if it is correct or not without any relation to their friends, political parties or to human society in our time. We are speaking of the matter in general how to bring them towards connections with this same entire mass of humanity and it doesn't matter to us which religions or faiths they belong to. All we're learning all in all regarding human nature and how we can change human nature every single person and bring them closer to the nature of the Creator> That is our study, that is our work. We are above time; it doesn't matter what time we are in today or hundred years ago or thousand years ago. it doesn't matter. Human nature is a will to receive and what qualities does the will to receive have. What desires does it  divide up to and also it depends on what way it is and how accordingly can bring it supposed to the Creator. The correction, at the end of the day, is that we all will reach the quality of the Creator to bestow completely.

45. S. (01:18:45) About the attitude toward the article. Is Rabash writing about different qualities or different states inside us and we have to locate them inside us or it's about different people?

R. Yes of course Rabash writes about people that have different qualities, different religions and how each and every one feels themselves as belonging or not belonging, close or far from correction.

46. S. (01:19:16) When we are born in this world are we always going to be in Lo Lishma even if we are righteous?

R. No one in this world is born righteous. Where has he seen such a thing. We are all born and develop egotistically but in all different forms. The Creator that has created the will to receive has done so through the phases of the  Pinot the phases of  fruit ABCD. Until the face that's the restriction of a Tzimtzum and against the matter of Alamut world but prior to that there was a will to receive that needs to undergo a preparation for correction and we speak of this preparation.

47. S. (01:20:19) In what state do we start working in Lishma?

R. From this state of  Pinot. Even though we are in the state of no lease or working for the Creators say before we answer work in the Creators Say by that we already undergo many stages of understanding of recognition of our ego that we recognize human beings and humanity.

48. S. (01:21 02) Learning the Torah for Honor for slandering is that the path of suffering?

R. No, this isn't the path of suffering, the path of suffering and the path of Torah are when we feel ourselves what takes us forward.

49. S. (01:21:35) How to be ready for the Creator's corrections?

R. How to be prepared for the Creator's corrections? Simply as much as possible to dedicate ourselves to the group to the friends through them to the Creator and that He will do with us whatever is needed.

50. S. (01:22:08) You said the Creator created the man completely opposite of Himself. So why does it say that the Creator created man in His image and his shadow?

R. We're not speaking of human beings but of the Creator that created a person which is similar to Him, He created him similar to Him in His image, but we are now not yet considered human beings, we are opposite of what we need to be.

51. S. (01:22:46) When does the person start working for the Creator? What’s the trigger that puts him on the right path? Is it different from every person?

R. The person begins to work for the Creator’s sake as long as he receives from the light that reforms, light that reforms him, that returns him to good and that depends on the Creator.

52. S. (01:23:20) You said that if someone has a desire that the others won't advance. If I discover that in me will I not be able to reach Lishma but only after that person?

R. Yes, yes.

53. S. (01:24:29) A person that is studying only in order to slander, where does he get the fuel to slander?

R. From slandering from wanting to dominate the others that gives a lot of strength, his ego, by that grows he feels himself as superior to everyone else and this is what pulls him forward, he’s willing to invest a lot of strength, it’s actually all the human beings advance this way.

54. S. (01:24:30) How can a person raise the importance of the purpose for which he's studying for?

R. Only by being among the friends and them speaking of what should be respected the qualities of the Creator that reside among several friends that is how we advance.

Reading (01:25:13)   “It is as he says, end the introduction to the study of 10 Sefirot”

55. S. (01:30:32) If the reward and punishment of spiritual pleasures is only the satisfaction of the Creator is this Lishma?

R. Yes.

56. S. (01:31:01) I have another question, it's a bit about what we were speaking about before. I just didn't have the time to ask here. There is another type of Lo Lishma that you also didn't talk about. You also told about it that desire to know the truth. How everything works, that is corporal because it's knowledge on one hand on the other it seems pretty close to the final  degree. What about that deficiency?

R. That's deficiency is that it's detached from the Creator, so imagine what happens in nature that the nature is detached from the Creator but it's not important to you how you keep the laws of nature, that you're like a scientist wants to know, he doesn't care about destroying everything. He doesn't care about anything. as long as he will know what is happening and what forces he has in his hands/

S. My question is that is the moment a person starts feeling that you have to add faith and that there's something above corporal nature, so it is easier to invert in to the right direction?

R. We need to examine this. I can't just say. There are many things here we will touch up on that show.

57. S. (01:33:02) How can you fall in love with the Torah, Mitzvot and the Creator, as it is written here?

R. Just like anyone has a desire for anything. It gives me pleasure, what I depend on then I connect to, I want to be connected to

58. S. (01:33:40) The Creator is hiding and we're working in the Lo Lishma because we feel only ourselves and not Him so to ask him to feel Him in order to love Him is that Lishma on Lo Lishma?

R. What are you doing it for? In order to give him pleasure or to have some kind of benefit from it? That is where the answer lies.

59. S. (01:34:25) I don't understand what types of people we need to pay attention towards the friends, the general public?

R. That is with respect to you, who you work with, the  friends, it is also possible that you are already in the group or at least that is organized and you're advancing but besides, you also disseminating. Your group has an additional group that you work with like beginners for example I don't know exactly what you are speaking of

60. S. (01:35:17) We learned that Lo Lishma has 5 degrees, so our purpose is to reach Lishma, and we are almost there, so in a Lishma other degrees?

R. 125 degrees that is what we have in Lishma in order to bestow. We do that in order to give contentment to the Creator degree where all of our desires, thoughts, and intentions we can then open up before him.

61. S. (01:36:10 ) If I understand correctly maybe  Rabash is guiding us that before every action in Torah and  Mitzvot, we need to locate the reason of which stage of Lo Lishma I'm in and to use that reason in order to advance correctly?

R. Yes of course.

S. Except for the fifth reason, there is also a right reason that you don't have to deal with it.

R. Yes that could also be you are saying it correct.

62. S. (01:36:52) What holds our will to receive in Lishma if it doesn’t receive?

R. By giving contentment to the Creator.

S. The will to receive can be filled by bestowing contentment to the Creator?

R. To the extent the upper light shines upon you. It all depends on the upper light. It's not that the will to receive itself but the upper light that shines upon the will to receive, it changes the will to receive from in order to receive to in order to bestow, and all of the states the degrees.

S. And then he gets the forces to work in order to bestow?

R. Yes.

S. If the will to receive, I don't know how to say it, if the body just falls underneath the burden, so what’s that sign?

R. That there’s no connection with the friends and with the Creator that's why the upper light cannot give strength.

S. So what should a person in this state do?

R. Connect more as much as possible and not to despair.

63. S. (1:38:34) Is it possible that we oscillate between those stages all the time with the frequency? Is that what happens to us?

R. Yes, yes.

64. S. (01:38:56) Not to believe in the Creator is that a sin?

R. That’s the question, what do you think not to believe in? Meaning I'm not connected to the Creator of course that is a sin.

65. S. (01:39:33) I understand from what is written here that there’s five states in me or five reasons that make me work.

R. You could say that.

S. So what first to pay attention to it, to see why I'm working?

R. Yes I understand that your will to receive is greater that way.

S. Let's say I discover I’m working for honor. What is next?

R. Rise above it. If you already know what your will to receive is currently then you can work with it, you have what you can correct, recognition of evil is revealed.

S. He also says here that all these people are desires, and you have to know how to speak to them.

R. Yes.

S. So when do I give someone what he wants or when do I demand to raise it to a higher degree? More Lishma.

R. Well that needs to be learned upon yourself. You need to see who activates you and how you can rise higher to a higher level of a desire what that actually means and so on.

66. S. (01:40:55) So, he starts seeing the ten in such a way it depends on one another?

R. He mainly examines himself. What does he want to tell us here that we are under these five desires, and we need to constantly check ourselves and see how we can go from Once agreed to the next more and more to a more important desire.

S. So the checking is only on myself so how should I see the friends?

R. Constantly as higher accordingly you check yourself where you are to what extent.

67. S. (01:41:50) Studying from an effort to connect with a friend's and reveal the Creator it's still myself in there that is still Lo Lishma?

R. Lishma or not Lishma it doesn't matter it is how you study where you study from what intention you're studying with.

S. And what category is it that we are making efforts to connect between us to reveal the Creator it's still part of us in there, it's still not Lishma under Lo Lishma but which category because he counts them?

R. First of all is it in order to receive or in order to bestow?

S. Receive

R. Ok, To received and which one of these five you are under?

S. I don't know, I didn't come here for honor or slander. I really want to make an effort to connect with the friends and still not Lishma, but I feel I'm putting myself in there so where is this?

R. That is not yet clear, that is not yet clear.

S. We see that Lo Lishma is very big egoistic forces, so how still to use them as like an engine that can bring us to Lishma?

R. We have received nature not for Lishma so that from it we can rise to Lishma in the difference between Lishma and Lo Lishma is the depiction of the world of truth. That is it. so, even though we rise to Lishma the Lo Lishma does not disappear it stays as the backside of the degree and supports it.

S. So, how do I have to relate to all these discernments of Lo Lishma something negative or?

R. No, What do you mean negative the Creator created this, right. We need to put our blessing on the evil as we do for the good.

S. Last statement that I heard it from other friends, and I can testify it on myself that learning from Rabash long article that we were reading and following together is very special.

Reading (01:44:31) “However we should understand..”

68. R. (01:45:47) He said that there is a cause one which is holy and one which is corporeal so what pushes a person to keep Torah and Mitzvot, the greatness of the creator that leads to him observing Torah and Mitzvot or the pleasure of observing Torah and Mitzvot as if he discovers in his will to receive this outcome or he discovers it in recognizing the Creator in the will to bestow. And Lishma working in Torah and Mitzvot Lishma meaning in order to bestow and not to receive a reward and he becomes worthy of receiving the five parts of the soul called NRNHY.

Reading continues (01:46:55) “However, according to the he is included of all of Israel..”

69. R. (01:51:10) Ok, That's the end of the article, we see that there is a lot to learn from it and hopefully you will have time to read it more without us, each one his own or in a group and for the time being we are moving on.
