Everything is Obtained By the Power of Prayer - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #4

1. R. (00:24) What can I say, we are advancing in various ways that Baal HaSulam and Rabash left us and so we take excerpts from their writings and use them to advance. Now we are at excerpt number four in the document, everything is attained by the power of prayer. We are studying all the time about the power of prayer that it is the main means by which we achieve correction, so let’s please read some quotes about it today as well and understand how to live through this day.

Reading (01:17) Excerpt #4. “The Most Important is the Prayer...” Twice

2. S. (04:37) Where is this joy felt, is it in vessels of bestowal, is it felt above reason, joy above reason, faith above reason?

R. The joy is felt in the desire as everything that we feel, everything that we feel is in man's desire, man's desire is referred to as man's heart and in it we feel ourselves.

S. This is a corrected desire that we feel the joy?

R. Yes or we ask that will that the desire will be corrected.

3. S. (05:43) Is there a difference between prayer and intention?

R. The difference between prayer and intention of course it’s two different things, prayer is a request, intention might not be a request.

4. S. (06:11) On the one hand we don’t want to see the greatness of the Creator but we can want to be in joy above reason, what is the difference between them?

R. The difference is big, this is a bit of a cunning question, ask it again?

S. On the one hand we don’t want to see the greatness of the Creator, on the other hand we do want to be in joy that we are working above reason. What is the difference between above reason to be happy and above reason?

R. We are happy in being connected to the Creator above reason, meaning even though we have reason we’re happy with connection with Him above reason. Meaning even though we do not understand we can't exactly contact Him, but we still have a great joy because we are in contact with the Creator.

5. S. (08:02) It turns out that a person has reason already, so that comes from the left line that reason?

R. Still the person has no reason he doesn't even want to be inside his reason he wants to be above reason. Meaning even though within reason he sees contradictions and generally things that are opposite to the Creator's qualities, still he wants to bring himself to thank the Creator that he still positions the Creator above him.

S. When you are successful in rising above reason so you get joy but that Joy also becomes reason. Here I succeed I overcame and I am happy from that, so it turns out that you still reach it in yourself?

R. Within yourself of course, you have joy because you have achieved it even though the Creator did it, but it did it on your nature. He first created your initial nature and then he made it so that you will be able to achieve the upper degree, the upper nature.

S. It becomes reason again?

R. Yes it becomes reason and then you go above that again.

S. Where do you keep going afterwards above it? Is it not to be joyful for myself, not to enjoy for myself?

R. Otherwise you will fall.

S. Exactly, so where do I go from there?

R. Always upwards, always up and then you will see.

6. S. (10:28) What’s the force against the force of prayer?

R. There is no power against prayer.

7. S. (10:41) You see a friend in the Ten isn't in joy for the work, so how to help him or give him the joy back?

R. We have to show him that we all need to be in a state where according to our reason we are not joyful, rather we are joyful and having the possibility of going above reason for the opportunity and that is what we are using.

S. I tell him that I remind him about it?

R. Yes yes.

8. S. (11:36) When we pray we try to do it from the depth of the heart, should I sacrifice my prayer for the connection in the Tens to the general prayer that we reach a general deficiency?

R. Yes yes of course.

9. S. (12:10) Can we ask according to this excerpt only for the force itself that we will have an ability to go above reason or first that we ask for the greatness of the Creator to have the forces?

R. To ask for the greatness of the Creator, to have this power and then continue with this power onwards.

10. S. (12:47) In this state in Israel it is really felt how the livelihood in the most active you can be is in prayer and explaining to the general public about prayer. What should we focus on?

R. That everything depends on connection and prayer that comes from the heart of connection.

11. S. (13:21) It is written that the work has to be in joy as if he was already rewarded with reason. What is this action that he supposedly was rewarded?

R. This kind of joy where it is as if he has reason and attainment and feeling he has everything and that brings him joy. That Joy he has to be in it already now.

S. That leads to true happiness?

R. Yes.

S. You answered a friend that when you reach spiritual happiness you have to rise even more above it, so at some point you understand that in order to rise higher above it, it has to come again something and you reach like this good state that you don't know how to rise even higher you just freeze in the state of happiness, so how to rise even more?

R. Just freeze, freeze where you are.

Reading Excerpt #5 (14:52) “He Must Pray To The Creator...”

12. R. (15:21) Meaning this is the prayer we need to compose even though the body does not want it, we still ask the Creator for the strength to go against the desire of the body. The most important is the connection between us and from us to the Creator.
