Reading: (00:44) Rabash letter 19. May 15, 1956

To my friend,

I received your letter and enjoyed what you wrote regarding what is explained in the introduction to the Sulam (Ladder commentary), and I will only fill in after you. I will present the above matter as a question: It is written in the writings of the ARI that there is a reality of worlds, and that Zivugim de Hakaa (pl. of Zivug de Hakaa) occur there, as well as Masachim (screens), Hitpashtut (expansion) and Histalkut (departure), Ohr Pnimi, and Ohr Makif. Does this relate to themselves, meaning that this Sefira wants this, and another wants that? That is, do they have choice and feeling as do people in this world, or are they still, emotionless, like the world that we are in?

For example, the earth yields fruits and receives energy from the rain, the wind, and the sun. If it lacks some of the energy it must receive, it does not yield and does not impart or produce any products. Then people cannot enjoy it and could even starve to death if the earth does not yield its produce.

But by man’s plowing, sowing, and harvesting and gathering, it behaves toward people in the same manner—if man serves the earth, the earth serves man.

At the same time, we know, and this is the accepted view, that the earth does not feel or has free choice. Rather, it simply follows the conditions it was given by nature, which the Creator has sealed and imprinted in it, and this is how it works best.

But we call this “still,” meaning that it does not move of its own accord because it has no desire. Likewise, the sun and all the hosts of heaven, all follow nature’s directives and have no choice of their own that you can say that they are expecting reward or punishment. Rather, all their actions result from nature, where however the Creator desires them to work, so they work.

This is also what we should understand concerning the upper worlds. Everything was created only to serve man, whereby the help that he receives from our world, where we exist, he also receives help from the upper world in order to achieve the goal for which he was created, namely, to be rewarded with Dvekut (adhesion) with the Creator and receive the tower filled with good things that the Creator has contemplated in his favor.

And when one is rewarded with that, it is considered that he has achieved the completeness of the thought of creation, as in, “The Creator desired to dwell in the lower ones,” and “Shechina (Divinity) in the lower ones—a high need,” since this is His will, and man in this world should strive only to do His will—to receive all the delight and pleasure because so is His will.

According to the famous rule, that there is no thought or perception in His essence at all, it follows that everything that appears to the souls on the degrees from world to world is only in the expanding light, meaning to the extent that the Creator wishes to be known—by revealing to them a measure of light from the upper world. This is considered that the upper light spreads to the lower ones, meaning that the lower ones attain Him to the extent that He wanted them to attain His greatness.

The measures of attainment change from time to time because it depends on the ability of the lower ones. Whether great or small—to that extent the light appears. Also, every measure of attainment has its own name because the Sefirot are called “covers.” The cover comes off and the Sefira (sin. for Sefirot) begins to illuminate according to man’s work.

Before the world was created there was no Tzimtzum (restriction). But for the lower ones to be able to receive, there had to be this concealment, and with every measure of work Lishma (for Her sake), the concealment comes off from the light shines accordingly. As the earth yields fruits in this world only after work, there is no disclosure of light without qualification on the part of the lower one.

And if you wish to say, “What are the Sefirot and degrees themselves?” We say that this is unattainable because our attainment is only with respect to His desire to do good to His creations. Therefore, one should attain only that which is related to man’s attainment, meaning a person’s impression from the upper light that appears through the Sefira to the creatures, but not the Sefira itself.

The multiplication of Sefirot is only according to the attainment of the lower ones, depending on their attainment, and each one has a special skill according to one’s labor. Besides that, everything is equal because there are no changes in spirituality. This is why we say about the Sefirot themselves that they are regarded as “there is no thought or perception in Him at all.”

They ascribed a name for each Sefira because all those who attained the light of the Creator through their work wanted all those who follow them to benefit from their discoveries, too. Therefore, they named each and every attainment, so they might understand the intentions and attainments they had attained. This would create a common language between them.

As we learned in the revealed, every innovation that one makes in the Torah, he can pass on to posterity. It is likewise in the upper world—we should accept the innovations that the previous ones had discovered, so they will be able to walk on the path of success and not be stopped midway because he thinks that the state he is in is already perfection. For this reason, we have no attainment in all those names and Partzufim in and of themselves, for it is all spirituality and Godliness, and it is written, “I the Lord did not change.” Instead, everything is with respect to the attaining individual.

This is similar to ten people standing and looking at an airplane flying from afar. To the onlookers, the plane seems like a tiny dot. But some of the people have binoculars that magnify the plane several times in size. However, each of them has a different set of binoculars—one has binoculars that magnify significantly, and for another, it magnifies less. It follows that one sees the plane as four meters long, another says it is three, and yet another says it is only two meters long. They are all reporting what they are actually seeing, but still there are differences between them. Yet, the differences make no change in the plane itself, for all the changes are only in the eyes of the perceivers.

It is likewise in spirituality. All the changes are only according to the measure of qualification of the lower ones. And by that we can understand what is written, that the soul is part of God above. It means that what the soul attains is Godliness, but it can only attain a part. Therefore, although it attains Godliness, because it depends on the qualification of the lower ones, it can only attain a part. However, the part that it attains makes, causes, no changes in Godliness, just as with the above mentioned plane.

This is why we say that the lower ones can attain only the expanding light, which is the part that the Creator wanted them to attain. For this reason, there is no difference between the expanding light and His essence, except in that one attains only the part that the Creator wanted him to attain, as with the example of the plane.

This will clarify the questions you have asked.

Your friend…

M. Laitman: Are there any questions?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (14:52) He says in the middle of the article, as well as towards the end, that the lower ones attain the Creator, to the extent that He wanted them to attain His greatness. And then He gives the example of the airplane, and in that example, it's the airplane that, seemingly, gives the perceivers a smaller, better version of the binoculars. The airplane, itself, is inanimate, an inanimate object, so how do we cause the Creator to give us these binoculars?

M. Laitman: According to the impression of the receiver. As much as the receiver gets impressed, accordingly, he sees greater or lesser blindness.

Student: The impression, the greatness of the impression, that's what the airplane gives. He writes here that the lower ones attain Him to the extent that He wants them to attain Him?

M. Laitman: The airplane gets on with spiritual attainment, yes.

Student: So, in effect, the created being attains the greatness of the Creator to the extent that the Creator wants Him to?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: We need to convince the Creator to give us His greatness. How to convince Him?

M. Laitman. Yes, how do we convince Him? We turn to Him and ask, and it's desirable that it's all of us.

Student: To give us more greatness than we have now, right?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Always a little more.

M. Laitman: To that, there is no measure.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (16:56) He also gives the example where a person receives help in this world from everything that is around him. But opposite to this world, in spirituality, a person cannot feel what he's receiving.

M. Laitman: Yes?

Student: How can he be impressed by it, at all?

M. Laitman: He is not impressed but if a point in the heart awakens in him and he does want to come to know the Creator. From that point that awakens, so he does all kinds of actions. He enters the society, he engages in what everyone engages in, and accordingly, each shall help his friend. Everyone comes to the revelation of the Creator, according to their investment.

Student: We learn that when there's advancement, there's also corresponding concealment. So again, we reach the same point where it says, he writes here, that a person needs to make an effort in this world, only to fulfill the Creator's desires and receive all the goodness and pleasure because that's what the Creator wants. But a person cannot feel that, he's still under the concealment, so how?

M. Laitman: No, the way that he always awakens himself to come closer to the Creator, so he sees how much these things are complicated. What can I add?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (19:01) At the beginning of the article, he asks about the spiritual worlds. If this Sefira wants this, and that Sefira wants that, meaning if they have choice and feeling, and he answers that no, they don't. So, what's the benefit when we study about the four phases of direct light, for example? Or now the Preface, we say Malchut wants this, Bina feels she wants to resemble the Keter. What's the use of such a way of speaking?

M. Laitman: The benefit is that the person learns the secrets of creation, like in this world that you start learning something, so you learn. Still, vegetative, animate, human, and each and every one of those.

Student: Yes,  but when a mechanic looks at the car, he doesn't think that the carburetor wants to do this, and the engine wants to do that.

M. Laitman: So, is not an artist, and he’s not alive.

Student: I don't exactly follow.

M. Laitman: The person needs to learn what world he is in. From that he will have, also, a clear direction where he needs to develop to. Therefore, he needs to learn the environment.

Student: Relating to the upper worlds, as though they have emotions, as though they're humanized, let's call it, it's not?

M. Laitman: No, not at all, what he needs to be concerned about is that, precisely, he is in the world of the still. And he just needs to awaken that single, central force, the Creator, on which he depends.

Student: We have the Creator who has emotions, He loves, He bestows right to the extent that we can understand these terms, and there's us. And the entire system in between, how to relate to it? Is it an inanimate mechanism or is it a system where there's emotions?

M. Laitman:  It is all under the Creator's control, that is all.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (21:35) It seems from the text that it could, could it be that the Creator doesn't want us to Know Him? It says that the Creator wants us to know Him through the upper light that's revealed to them.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: To us, rather, but it seems that from His own side, He wants it, He doesn't want it. How does it depend on the lower ones, on us?

M. Laitman: It becomes revealed to the person at every moment he can bestow to the person and gives him the chance to reveal Him.

Student: And is this a constant trend or does it change?

M. Laitman: In relation to the Creator, it's a constant tendency but in relation to the person depends on whether he's worthy of that.

Student: What's the connection between the Creator's tendency to be revealed and a person's effort to discover Him. Is there a connection?

M. Laitman: As much as a person exerts, that's on one hand. On the other hand, we need to say that the person exerts according to the same force that the Creator, whether He awakens and stimulates the person

.Student: So, it's not clear what's the person's job here, because it seems that either way it's all from the Creator.

M. Laitman: It is upon the person to be ready at every moment to receive an awakening from the Creator. To respond to that awakening as much as it is possible to, and to extract from all those relations from one moment to the next, which are changing, as much as the person is capable.

Student: This is a person's job, it's not the Creator awakening him to respond?

M. Laitman: The Creator awakens a person, but the person needs to awaken himself to respond to that, as much as possible.

Student: I'm trying to sort out where the point of free choice is. What's the difference between a person who responds and one who doesn't?

M. Laitman: The Creator awakens the person at every suitable moment in order for the person to turn to Him, to the Creator. That he will want to come close to Him, that is what the Creator does. The person needs to wait, meaning to try and identify such moments when the Creator relates to him and that he wants that closeness.

Student: What causes one to determine that one will identify it and respond?

M. Laitman: At the end of the day, it's the Creator but what appears to the person is what appears to the person. And accordingly, he needs to yearn, by himself, to reveal such moments, and other than that, we know that this yearning builds something. It depends on a person's actions, there is, here, the concealed and the revealed.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (25:24) He says here that there are those who attained the Creator's light through their work, and they want those who follow them to also attain the light of the Creator. And so, they teach them and bring them to the path of success. I suppose he's talking about Kabbalists, who feel the need to pass the wisdom on, to teach people how to reach the Creator. Previously, before that he writes about how there's the Creator's desire, and on the other side, there's man's work, man's labor. He says, according to one's exertion in Lishma, to that extent, the concealment is lowered, and so on. So, with respect to the Creator, one needs to exert in Lishma, and the Kabbalists who explain to a person how to follow the path of success, they teach him in general to work from the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator. Or to create a connection in which the light can be revealed but those who attained the Creator tell people they need to connect, connect to others. So, what's the connection between working Lishma and working to connect with others?

M. Laitman: It's in the same direction, the work in Lishma and the work in connecting with others is work in the same direction. Because, all in all, what is Lishma? Until a person relates all of his moments to the Creator, all of his actions so that nothing remains for himself.

Student: How, with that same feeling that the Creator is shaking the person up, waking him up. Giving him little opportunities for moments where the Creator can be revealed. And the person just needs to bring in a little bit of yearning into this process and be prepared for those moments. How does this come into expression in the work with others, in the Ten, in the society or with one person? Because you can accept that there's the complete control of the Creator here?

M. Laitman: No, no, here, there are also actions on behalf of the Ten, on behalf of the society, on behalf of the individual, that's incorrect. The Creator does not perform as if some game, even though it is called a game, sometimes. But what He wants to do is to awaken us, to teach us, so that we will know how we need to be ready, in advance, for the awakening that extends from Him. And how we can reach a state where everything He organizes for us, that we will absorb it, completely, each in the reaction of His.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (29:07) How do we reach the feeling, the same feeling? Let's say tomorrow, Thursday, we have a meeting of the Ten. How do I reach the meeting with the friends with that sensation, you just described? How do I see the Creator between us, behind each and every friend? How can I absorb something that's more real because I can imagine many things when we say the Creator.

M. Laitman: Try to constantly be in that. More and more to think about that, to awaken that in yourself, that's how it is. The person needs, the main thing is to think hard about it. But the person needs to reach identification with the Creator in everything taking place with him. It all depends only on the efforts that the person applies from himself to identify actions of the Creator in everything happening to him, in the still, vegetative, animate, speaking, in everything there is. And that he thinks of nothing other than that, then it turns out that whatever he does, it doesn't matter what, he then has an opportunity to discover the Creator. Because, all in all, whatever happens to us happens only from the Creator and only in order for us to attain Him. Even though it is, the Creator is hiding, together with that He wishes for us to reveal Him.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (31:46) What actually is the difference between how a Kabbalist reveals the greatness of the Creator? And a simple person who nevertheless steadfastly believes?

M. Laitman: The person who steadfastly believes is the holy still. The person does not change, simply always wants to feel the Creator, feeling the entirety of reality.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (32:36) Because you said, and here he writes also, that the inanimate, the sun, all things are meant to serve the person in his discovery of the Creator. But we're talking about something that's revealed inside the Ten here, in this work.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, there's a difference between the greatness of the Creator that's revealed in the Ten and that which is revealed from the power of nature, and how nature is all arrayed.

M. Laitman: Certainly, there's a difference but I don't know what you want to ask.

Student: I got to see a few such video clips, lately, of people in states of crisis, and I was very impressed by how steadfastly they hold on to their faith in the Creator, regardless of how complicated or difficult the situation is. They believe and I even was a bit jealous, so, how can it be that we work so hard and it's still so difficult for us to get to that, to grasp it?

M. Laitman? Yes, so you're asking, how is it possible?

Student: Yes, I'm asking, how is it possible, and also, I'm looking for the difference. We work in order to generate the greatness of the Creator in the Ten, we always say that it's in the Ten. And the difference between that and a kind of general, strong faith that there is a Creator in the world governing it.

M. Laitman: I don't think that you can open the entire picture. A world reveals to you in which there is an upper force. And a few people attain, seemingly, that upper force to a certain extent, and another part who do not, and you are in connection with both of those people and accordingly, you're drawn after them. We need to reach a state where we, through such examples, which we accept only as examples. That we will not perceive them as, really, coming closer. But the Creator sets up times where He brings them closer and also He sets up times where He makes them more distant. And then He awaits those that connect with Him, and the main thing is that He wants them to be attracted to Him and to the purpose of creation. That is, to the complete, eternal connection, that is all.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (36:19) How do we reach such a state where everything the Creator arranges for us, we absorb fully as His action, as His action? How do we fully absorb each one of the Creator's actions?

M. Laitman: You cannot do that because then you would need to reveal the Good That Goes Good upon all the problems that you see in yourself and in the world. And to that extent, you would be able to come closer to Him.

Student: So, the complete absorption of the Creator is reaching a state where He's the Good who does Good in whatever state. So, the first stage in that absorption of the Creator, first you need to identify that it comes from Him, right?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Okay, and what's the next stage of this absorption?

M. Laitman: That what you receive in exchange for that is the Good That Does Good.

Student: How do we move from one to the next, from just knowing that He sent it to me? And to the feeling that He's Good, He Does Good, and that it's the best thing for me?

M. Laitman: No, it's not good for you in that you feel that way, which is how you had it at the beginning. But it's good for you in that way you reveal Him, His truth. That is what brings you a good feeling.

Student: What’s the stage of transition between just pointing to the fact that it's Him and to the feeling that He's the Good Who Does Good?

M. Laitman: It's that you detach from feeling, and you already come to a new feeling, a new connection, in a way where the Creator manages the whole of reality.

Student: What does my absorption of the Creator depend on?

M. Laitman: In as much as you wish to feel Him as the Good That Does Good.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (38:54) He writes that if the person serves the soil, the earth will serve the person. What's the difference if a person relates to one grain of sand or if a person relates to the whole earth, as a collective?

M. Laitman: It all depends on the person, how does he see the Creator in each and every grain of sand?

Student: From what I understand, there's this feeling that we are surrounded by spiritual objects?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And in order to discover this, I need to overcome the coarseness that appears through the Ten. Or does each spiritual object carry within it coarseness that I need to overcome?

M. Laitman: You don't need to overcome the Ten, you need to overcome the determination of the state, the current state in which you identify the Ten. That it is adhered to the Creator, and you need to elevate yourself to that same degree.

Student: And from that point to relate to reality?

M. Laitman: Yes, beforehand, you won't be able to relate to reality because you won't see.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (40:47) He writes, everything is with respect to the person who attains.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, now, we want to, each one sees the airplane a different size. Now, it's a fine state when everyone agrees that it's an airplane and we want to achieve connection.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Is connection a state where we agree, where everyone agrees that it's an airplane? What is connection?

M. Laitman: Connection, let's say, that it's an agreement. We'll go according to what you’re telling.

Student: Now, how do we reach an agreement if each one has different vessels, different instruments by which to perceive?

M. Laitman: We understand that each person has different vessels.

Student: And then, how do we see, in a collective way, a certain state?

M. Laitman: We cannot see it in such a way, we need to reach a state where all of us will connect until we will see, feel, identify, and determine that what we feel is the Creator. That He surrounds us, and He gives us life, and we only wish to, in our connection, yearn to come closer.

Student: The agreement is in that there is a force that operates us all?

M. Laitman: Yes, certainly.

Student: What happens, again, if each one perceives that force a different way?

M. Laitman: That doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. We'll correct that on the path.

Student: Okay, I understand because it's just, here in the end, he writes, each and every one has their own special qualification according to the measure of their exertion. And other than that, everything is equal, so, in what are we equal if each one exerts differently?

M. Laitman: That according to a person, an individual's exertion, each and every one identifies and reveals the Creator. Then, even though, we identify Him in different ways, in different feelings, in different depictions, nonetheless, in all, He is one.

Student: Here, we said previously that connection means that there is an agreement that there is one single force?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And when we're connected, we agree to that. Now, if we take it one step lower, and we talk about people who aren't on the path, how will they reach any agreement? What will they agree over if we want them to achieve connection, what agreement could be one tier lower than that there is one force governing reality?

M. Laitman: There is nothing lesser than that. That is the beginning of Judaism.

Student: That's where we want to bring the people and humanity?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: To the perception that there is one single force governing reality?

M. Laitman: Yes, to There Is None Else Besides Him.

Student: To There’s None Else Besides Him?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (44:47) I want to continue that scrutiny: In any case, other than all of us agreeing that there is one force in reality, there is some added value that comes from the integration between the friends.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Because each one has his own limited desire towards the Creator, so perhaps, can you explain what we attain from such incorporation other than just to agree that There Is None Else Besides Him?

M. Laitman: We agree that there is a single force in reality and There Is None Else Besides Him and He Is the Good That Does Good. And He brings us to a single goal for all of us, for everyone. But we want, that since each and every one of us is a creation with different qualities, so it turns out that we all receive His influence upon us in different ways. And that is what we need to fix, that is all. That He Is Good That Does Good to everyone. Certainly, everyone receives Good That Does Good differently, but each one is aware that that can be this problem and is grateful in that it is He who is Good That Does Good.

Student: Baal HaSulam also writes that the human is different to all parts of creation because he can feel others.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: The question is how can I feel others if I am always attaining it through my own qualities? What is that feeling of the other and how do we add to that? How do we feel others correctly?

M. Laitman: To the extent in which I identify with the other, I can feel him. Then certainly, I need to check, well, the extent to which it changes me. From within that in which I feel, and he feels, and what is the relationship between us. That's quite complicated but we need to identify that.

Student: Let's take the airplane example that Rabash brings here. Each one sees it differently not only in size, but in qualities, how he feels towards it.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Can a person come out of himself and look at that airplane, or anything in life, in a different way?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: He can't?

M. Laitman: He can't, how could it be that he was born with his own qualities, he cannot exit those. He can, in them, despite his own egoistic qualities, in them he can attain the Creator.

Student: So, the Creator can give him additional power to integrate with others and then he attains a fuller picture. But still, the person remains with his qualities.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (48:57)  He says here that the Sefirot are covers, they cover the light. And to the extent that a person qualifies himself better, they begin to illuminate. Now, I wanted to ask, Rabash writes in many articles that in the Ten, and in how one relates to the friends, you qualify yourself to relate correctly to the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Also, that it's better to work with the friends, such that you see their greatness within reason and the Creator's greatness above reason?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, what's the difference in how we relate to each other, does it begin with covering, in the degree where we are. Later it needs to illuminate to some extent our relationships in the Ten?

M. Laitman: The main thing that we feel between us is the difference in perception, in feeling, in identification, that is what we discover. And if we wish to connect, then we need to identify what are, what is the difference and what does connection bring us.

Student: In the preparation to the lesson, we read a very strong excerpt talking about how the greater the greatness of the Creator that a person feels, the better he can serve Him without wanting rewards?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How does this apply in the work in the Ten? What exactly is the work on the greatness of the friends and the connection between us? What does it offer us so that we can better see the greatness of the Creator? His greatness is concealed by our reason?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, trying to see the greatness of the friends within reason, how can it bring about such an outcome?

M. Laitman: We, in the Ten, are ready, at the end of it all, to reveal the Creator as an inclusive, as one who includes all of our qualities.

Student: What does it mean that the Ten illuminates, shines? Do we need to actually feel that the Creator is between us?

M. Laitman: The Creator is between us.

Student: We actually feel that, all the parts of the ten?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (52:24) A person sitting here in the lesson, hears that everything truly comes from the Creator. And he can ascribe it all to the Creator and feel that but when a person is outside in his daily life, it sounds very alien to him.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How can one ascribe everything to the Creator in every state?

M. Laitman: What determines it is what the person wants to happen to him.

Student: Are there actions one can take to reinforce that ability to ascribe everything to the Creator? Or are there strong people and weak people in that?

M. Laitman: No, it all depends on the person.

Student: What should a person do?

M. Laitman: He should do exercises that whatever he sees, feels, hears, from within him and around him, that he relates that all to the upper force.

Student: Are there states where a person is simply thrown out somewhere? There's no Creator, no group, no nothing.

M. Laitman: It's a sign that he didn't determine to himself how to return to the feeling of the Creator.

Student: That's the Ten?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, you need to train yourself like a dog, kind of, there's a Ten and.

M. Laitman: Yes, only in such a way, either society or death.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (54:07) We were given an example here of binoculars, right, that's the Ten, right? You said we need to see the Creator at every moment between us, right? So, continuing the friend’s scrutiny, when we lower the covering of the friends between each friend we see the Creator. We tune the binoculars to see the Creator better, right, between us. How do we keep tuning, calibrating those binoculars to always see the Creator between us, to keep removing the coverings?

M. Laitman: We need to be adhered to this work.

Student: What does it mean to be adhered?

M. Laitman: That we will constantly want to reveal the Creator, in new and different conditions, and we will not descend from that direction.

Student: Previously, you said that we need to study our environments every moment?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What does it mean to study the environment, how do we learn each other? How do we see the Creator from the environment we're in?

M. Laitman: We check what is happening to us at every single moment from within our connection. How do we identify the connection and what is changing in it?

Student: The connection between us, where we agree all the time that there's one force that manages us, is that it?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women in Brazil): (56:13) Are asking, how can we magnify our ‘will in such a way where it positively influences the friends' desires?

M. Laitman: Again?

Student: How can we empower our will in such a way where the Creator is The Good That Does Good, and so that it positively influences the friends and awakens them towards the Ten, right? How can we influence the friends and awaken them towards the Ten?

M. Laitman: I think we will do that, I think he asks, how can we identify that the Creator influences the friends for the best? We need to try to see that, why are we studying and we're not just in the lost in the world, where He could change us and bring us to some kind of attainment? It's an order for us to identify at every single moment what is the difference between the existing state and the desired state in our feeling, in our perception, in mind and heart. Then through that, we can increasingly be directed at the desired state.

Question (Turkiye 2): (57:58) What to do to make the light, visible?

M. Laitman: Make the light visible? Our vessel needs to be like the light, in the same qualities, that is all.

Question (Hadera 1): (58:32) When the Creator opens up to us, within reason, He opens up above reason as well, a place of faith above reason?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: The more we advance within reason, we have a bigger place to reach faith above reason.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: When we work in the Ten, do we need to identify some special quality in each friend that we see, and that's how we build the perfection of the Ten?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Holland): (59:15) In this identification that everything comes from the Creator in every state we are, do we need to take care, let's say, of joy, beforehand?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's a necessity, to reveal that it comes from the Creator because that is the main thing.

Student: Is that a precondition?

M. Laitman: Yes, it's very desirable that that will be the initial impression because then I turn to the Creator, yes.

Student: How do you take care, let's say, that you are, let's say, in every state, already, let's say, in a state of happiness, of joy. Is that before you identify that it's from the Creator?

M. Laitman: Joy is a condition, whether it's necessary or not, I would say that usually it is necessary.

Student: Where does it come from? What causes this joy, beforehand?

M. Laitman: It happens, we are on the way to the end of correction, that is what brings us to joy. So, together with all people in the world, we are on that same path, in more and more connection from one day to the next. As much as we identify it or not but that is what gives us joy.

Student: What you're actually saying, so, if I identify that everything comes from the Creator without joy, I'm actually not identifying the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, yes. The main thing is that it comes from the Creator.

Question (H 10): (01:02:21) I have one question about the connection in the Ten between the friends: Should there be equality, complete equality in the Ten so that the friends feel that there's the same spirit holding them together? And there's such a state where some people can't come to the morning lesson, they can only hear a recording later. And throughout the day, it's felt that they have a different kind of spirit than the people who are actually in the lesson. And this brings about all sorts of arguments and problems in the Ten with respect to duties in the Ten and such like. How can we come to the solution, here?

M. Laitman: I don't know, that's not for me, there are people who deal with that. You need to seek them and bring them to the Ten so that they will organize it.

Student: But there's an imbalance between people who come to the morning lesson, every day, and those who hear it later, recorded. Is there a difference in how they relate to the matters, and the study?

M. Laitman: Certainly, there needs to be some difference. Those who are live in the connection with friends, so they also have a certain impression like from one person to another. And one who only listens to a recording, it's not the same, he doesn't get impressed from the human aspect of it. Okay, so you have a problem. That's clear.

Question (Kyiv 1): (01:04:25) In the binocular and the airplane example, the form of our spiritual connection, right, how can we look through shared binoculars, the whole Ten?

M. Laitman: We cannot see it in the common binoculars of the Ten because we will be aimed in different directions. Therefore, in order for there to be a common binocular, you need to connect all the eyes, all of our hearts so that they will be all calibrated to one goal. And then we will truly see the Creator.

Student: He writes here that the names, the faces, the Partzufim, that's all with respect to those who attain them. So, how can we look at something together in spirituality, it's a personal experience for each one?

M. Laitman: That will all come.

Student: Can we discuss something, basic, like how we feel the importance of the goal in the Ten, or the connection between us?

M. Laitman: Okay, discuss that, discuss it. What else do we have?

Reader: We have the Preface To The Sulam Commentary.

M. Laitman: Please.

Reader: So, let's do that, and first a song.
