A question from the public: ""Please speak to us about suicide among children. How can I explain to a child that it is wrong, and that such thoughts are inappropriate? At a neighbouring school, a girl jumped from a high-rise building. There are two possibilities why this occurred: the first is unrequited love, the second is the influence of the Internet, that she was driven to it. How should we talk to teenagers? How can we prevent this from happening? ...Or is it fate?"" We must understand that a teenager is a small person who must attain the world gradually, just like when we are born, taking small steps through all the stages of development. Our first stage is in the mother’s womb. Then, once birthed, we begin to comprehend a little, inside our crib, our room, the apartment, and so on. Even before children begin to walk, they can only reach for something and then by crawling around a small area, they eventually become exposed to a huge world. They are put in the car and driven around, pushed about in a stroller, in addition to listening to music, watching TV, and so on. All sorts of complicated toys are pushed their way. The boundaries of the world are being opened, while they are not ready and don’t want it either. Nature hasn’t had time to prepare them yet and so confusion arises. They are under pressure from new concepts. For many this is a problem as they don’t have the inner strength and resources to cope with these external stimuli, which often leads to a loss of control. Being exposed to negative passive entertainment, such as movies, their perception becomes influences. It makes what they see seem very real and it can easily lead to contemplation of suicide. During the first two years of a child’s life, they should be exposed to natural stimuli from their surroundings. Gradual exposure of children to this life enables them to develop a normal psyche to the size of the world in which they exist, whatever is within their grasp and with which they are comfortable. The rest can be introduced at a later stage of development when all sorts of mechanisms are already in place and can be explained. Introduce literature, perhaps start with history or geography which pertain to this earth. Choose things that can be shown, instead of these terrible children’s programs which are built completely on fiction, not to mention the ones that are so terribly distorted, showing violence, anger, and the like. Children's programs are the most vicious. The child looks at it and thinks that this is the reality of our world. So why not jump from the tenth floor? They see these leaps on TV every day in children's programs. That is, we have no idea what a distorted picture of reality that we bring into their world. So what do you expect? Consider banning all such programming completely if we want a healthy generation to be raised.
