1. Rav’s Introduction: The joy is a very unique state where a person is satisfied with the situation or with whatever one sees outside of himself whether it testifies to the fact that he justifies creation or justifies the Creator, depending on what state one person is in relative to him. Joy nevertheless is a sign of fulfillment of one's deficiencies and that it does not have to necessarily be corporeal fulfilment, it can be a spiritual fulfillment, maybe one that is not filled in their vessels but above those, it has a different demand or different fulfillment. Then he is in joy that he is empty of the ordinary fulfillment and joy in that he has the feelings in his passions, desires and thoughts. Meaning joy is nevertheless a situation where the person imagines himself and from this discernment of joy how we can reach, navigate this and check it and scrutinize it and what form of joy we have to reach. How can we use joy as some kind of measurement as it says here that joy is the result of good deeds or the reflection of good deeds and also what about the wicked ones the evil deeds he has no joy so apparently we have to have further examinations what it means to good deeds and bad deeds so one can be happy from these and those and we can see that. Nevertheless is this examination of joy that as it says that the purpose of creation is that you should always be happy. Nevertheless, this is for us to recognize and reach so let us engage in this at least for one lesson.

R. Joy is when one yearns for a certain state and he regrets that he has not achieved it yet and what is holding him on the path is nevertheless faith that he can attain it, with the Creator’s help he can attain the desirable state. The desirable state is the state of giving love and connection and devotion and when the person can reach that state then he becomes fulfilled with the fulfillment, the light that resides in his identification with the Creator. This feeling besides the fact that this is fulfilling him in whatever he wants to achieve, he is also accompanied with a feeling which we call joy, which is also an additional light from above. However this already reaches the light of connection, according to the deficiency there are many lights and many vessels with respect to the light. So there is a vessel which is expecting fulfilment, the filling of joy and there's a specific light that fulfills that letter which is called ‘the light of joy’.
S. So the joy is the combination of the anticipation of something higher and the fulfillment?
R. Of course, joy comes from the fact that we have frustrations, all kinds of deficiencies and we corrected it, we filled it, we earned it through possibly a great and prolonged exertion and now we have that filling.
4. S. (07:31) What is it about joy that we crave for?
R. Joy is the result of good deeds, we are talking about ourselves not about criminals, so joy is the result of a good deed that has reached its end, its conclusion Therefore, the light that expands in it brings the vessel the feeling of joy. Besides the filling it gives a feeling that you have finally achieved something which is beyond the desire that was fulfilled, it is some kind of an addition and extra to the state, the ordinary state of the vessel and light when some addition is revealed to the light and this is joy.
5. S. (08:54) We had 3 tough weeks because of distractions, three difficult weeks, is it the first of the desire or force of weakness?
R. We, always, are in a process of correction and the process of correction includes elevations and falls. There is the evening and there is a morning, one day. We need to get used to this that situations change in such a way, in a roller-coaster way this is. On the other hand, we have to get used to also a state the situations don't on the change but also we can reach such a relationship between us that the states will change in all but because each is helping the others, we have connection between us, so we can reach a state where the day and the night, the states of elevate and descents through the connection between us they will come to a certain constant state the states of elevations and falls.
S. The question is about the coarseness that can bring joy.
R. Coarseness does not bring anything it does not relate to joy or anything the joy is the result of the fact that the vessel can attain what it wants but seems to it as complete wholeness, earlier something lacking and now it has it become fulfilled. The coarseness is simply a single element in the vessel that also indicates a lack of feeling of coarseness.

6. R. (13:14) This is very important, this summary, this bottom line. When a person has joy, gladness he should take some things that earlier he did not understand. He felt that he does not understand what it says and he very much wanted to know but was not able to get into the depths of the text. Now when he feels joy and uplifted spirit it is actually worthwhile with patience and with this new attitude, that now he has a feeling of confidence, joy and good attitude to contemplate those same things and he will see in them greater depth and understanding.

7. S. (16:05) He says that when the person takes on himself the burden of Heaven then he feels joy from eternity?
R. Of course, this is desirable here, the joy is seemingly a feeling we can relate and associate with each and every state. Here, where we talk about joy which is the result of a certain state, not a thousand different things but the achievement of wholeness, the achievement of connection.
S. So that he writes here that in every moment we can be happy if we take on ourselves the burden of the Kingdom of Heaven?
R. If you connect to the Creator, constantly yearning for Him and all of the states that come to you, you truly swallow them up inside so that upon them you can be in greater connection and joy and a bigger inclination towards the Creator, then you reach a state where you should always be happy, you always enjoy.
S. You previously described that joy as a good deed that reaches a conclusion.
R. This is an element that is a perfect element when we usually feel joy. that if I am in a process inside the group, inside the world, inside this process that the Creator determined from here to the end of connection so I have to feel myself in states where I constantly, in an increasing joy, and it doesn't matter it for me if it is an ascent or descent, if it is a fall I always go step forward on the pass left or right but forward today and of correction in attachment to the Creator and whatever degree I am in, this is how I look at the path that I'm getting closer to him then I am filled with joy.
S. But relative to the friends do I have to show joy even if I'm not here?
R. This is it must because by this you are elevating the level of the group. You bring the group the feeling of confidence, and by that you hold them each one has to hold the others and elevate the others, elevate the friends in that you show them that you have confidence and joy. This is how you elevate them. Joy is the result of good deeds which means that you are aiming yourself correctly to the attainment of the goal and it shines to you from the goal. There is a special illumination that shines to you which is called “Joy”. This is a part of the wholeness, of perfection which we wish to attain.
8. S. (19:35) It says that it isn't upper illumination that appears by MAN. Is this the actual measurement which we spoke about in the introduction of the lesson, that this is the actual measurement of truthful joy?
R. It is possible to say so.
9. S. (20:12) The wholeness comes when we are in a state of commitment towards the Creator, the perfection comes?
R. Yes, a bit. It truly an obligation, a commitment towards the Creator that we need to have joy is revealed not when we operate from some lack but because of a good attitude, more so it is more out of love.
10. S. (21:00) What is joy, good deeds when we create connections in the 10?
R. In our craving for the 10, we are reaching a state we need to reach, a state when according to our efforts we receive a special illumination from above, from the Creator. That is joy, joy is not revealed, Joy is not reviewed because he wants to be in joy. It is a kind of reception or absorption of the reforming light, receiving an upper illumination that influences ask from about this is actually the joy. We need to try to always be connected between us, to behave between us and towards the Creator, towards the goal in such a way that we catch this wave or receive this wave that comes to us from our goal that fills us with this feeling of joy. This is some kind of yearning to have this special fulfilment that indicates how connected I am with the Creator, with the friends and how much we are all connected to the goal and how much we are all yearning to be between us in a joyful state. There are many examinations which we do not have yet like a little baby who doesn't have too many examinations. Is it either good or it's not good but later we can distinguish in it thousands and thousands of different flavors and then you see from which incidents, from which states it can come.
11. S. (23:43) Is there perfection in accepting that there is none else besides Him?
R. That is a different question, is there perfection in accepting none else besides Him. Yes, there is none else besides Him and it includes everything. There is a single Creator that determines and fulfills everything and he exists in connection with you and you belong to Him. This fulfills all of one's vessels at once. We are not talking about this, we are talking about the form of reception of the connection with the Creator which is called joy.
12. S. (24:45) I am lacking joy, I am lacking confidence and in the work in the 10 it is not a big problem because you can advance in overcoming and act for the friends but the problem is that I can’t disseminate like that, this being going on for 5 months. In the past I had confidence I was able to disseminate, somehow now it has completely disappeared.
R. This is not a problem, we do not need to examine the details of your individual states. Don’t ask during the lesson in such a way. You can ask about this but not in a lesson, you can turn to Boardworldkli and ask there, you will get an answer. However we are talking about the state of joy which we have to detect, to locate, to invite, to cultivate within us, to develop in us. This is how we should constantly be concerned that all of our path, all of our states will be in joy. Now can I be in joy when in the fall, disconnected in darkness, why not? I can be in darkness and disconnected and along with that to be in joy. If I get this illumination from above that these states are to my benefit, they are promoting me towards the feeling of the Creator, helping me to detect the correct true high, spiritual state. So joy does not pertain specifically to the state I am in. I always give this example of surgery when I so much wanted to go through the surgery and at the same time I felt this joy that maybe today they will do it maybe tomorrow they will do it. One has got nothing to do with the other, joy is a special illumination that comes out of the importance of the action, the importance of the goal.
13. S. (27:45) Is joy the result of the desire, deficiency towards adhesion with the Creator?
R. It might be that as well, we have to distinguish between many states of joy. Joy that is the opposite of spirituality, but joy should be for us as an examination of the inner state of a person who knows where he is, connected to the purpose of creation, to the Creator, on the path, connected to the group, in the light of faith, all these things when connect together brings you the righteousness of the path and the joy. Hopefully they bring you the feeling of joy and to the contrary if you're not happy it is a sign that the shell is eating you up and you need to get out of it as quickly as possible. Concern is something else but it is not and should not be sadness. That is that we should always try to be in joy. It is not that you should be exploding with laughter, no but rather that joy is a special illumination that you get as a result of the inner correction of your vessels in that you know how to arrange them correctly towards the goal. Maybe now we are just in the beginning of the path and maybe we don't understand and don't feel, but that we have joy because we are like people who got lost in the forest, wandering and now we have found a trail and this trail for certain will bring us out to a place of inhabitants where we feel joy from that moment on. We already advance in such a way.
14. S. (31:05) Can we get confused with different kinds of joy? I see the friends in the lesson, I'm happy and glad. How do we go from regular joy to a spiritual one?
R. We have many kinds of joy and this depends upon in which vessels a person wants to feel the fulfillment. If I want to feel the fulfillment in the Creator's vessels, that is, in vessels of the bestowal and love, then accordingly I can say that joy is the result of good deeds.
S. Am I generated in joy in the beginning when it's revealed or first I reveal the gladness?
R. We didn't talk about it but you are right we need to scrutinize that.

15. S. (35:08) What is the connection between laughter and joy?
R. I respect you very much and a few others like you from my students but I am asking you that your questions should be related to what we are reading. And it cannot be that there is one thing in the excerpt that we are reading and you are asking about something else. What did we read, right now, and what are you asking about that, this is what we need. You are deflecting all of the students following your desire into some direction that you want and this is not good. Now we have even forgotten what we read and cannot scrutinize it. So please, ask according to what it says. This is why I look very suspiciously at people who constantly have the question mark on, that they have something in their head and they are concerned about it. We understand the concern but why do you want to put your corporeal question on everyone, to pull your problems on everyone so that we will engage in that. We want to engage in what the Kabbalists write for us. So please think before you ask so your questions will truly be questions about what we are discussing right now.
16. S. (37:03) A deficiency of something that is lacking so to come to a place, how can joy exist there?
R. We learned that we lack nothing besides the vessel, besides the deficiency and I feel that I like the deficiency for spirituality or if I have a deficiency for spirituality, however it is all aimed toward spirituality I already feel joy out of that. But this also has two matters that I feel I have a deficiency for spirituality and that I am in this deficiency. That I work with this deficiency and this deficiency in itself can be fulfillment for me and in itself can give me joy, okay? What am I lacking? I am lacking spirituality, the most important thing that can be in the world and this is why it brings me joy.
17. S. (38:39) Why is it when there is love, the Creator is happy?
R. The Creator is happy when there is love in people and love between them and the Creator because this is his quality, his nature because love is a sign of the complete connection.
18. S. (39:05) How to correctly translate, to show the Creator that he is happy?
R. This is related to the condition that the Torah speaks in the style related to people, we don't know the emotions that exist in the upper force, or in general of the Creator as we don't know. There are a few degrees by which we describe the upper force, that he is the upper of the upper, he doesn't belong to us at all, might relate to us. Then there is another degree, maybe a few additional degrees, one that is closest to us is called Creator, BoReh, ‘come and see’. This is what we can attain and from it, from Him we get all of our life and the influence that comes to us. This is considered BoReh, come and see, this is what we are engaging in and we are not engaging in any more than that as we can't know what will happen later in the end of correction, all kinds of things, this I do not understand. Also they don't write about it, there are a few hints but with this also it is very difficult to end what the degrees are about. Our connection with the upper force, the one that is related to us, is the one who created the deficiency and through the deficiency we discover Him. Through the revelation of the deficiency and the revelation of the fulfillment, and again in such a gradual manner we can attain and this only pertains to the upper force which is closest to us which we call, come It's for joy. R. It is written that ‘each one shall help his friend’, through lust and envy and honor, mutual help as we can stimulate and warm up each and every one to be more connected and to be an active part of the goal. We can speak about our life because we are in the life of the last generation and this means that all of humanity and the whole world is in a collapse. It will continue this way for a long time until we will find the golden path, the middle of line and how to relate to nature, ourselves and the Creator in a complete form as one, then it will all work out and we will reach calmness. But for the time being we are in a stage where we are trying to extract as much as possible and the world and nature is trying to arrange this according to its plan. It is teaching us that it is not going to work the way that we want it and here how we are in a state which is like a stubborn child, where the parents want him to do this or that and that he is crying out and bursting because he does not want to, wanting to do whatever he wants. This is how humanity is now in accordance to the Creator and, of course, it is not going to help us as we need to accept the Creator’s authority, his laws and we will have to determine all of these things in our new relations, gradually it will happen through pressures from above that we will have to accept it and to implement. The Creator wants us to have such corrected relations between us that He will be revealed in these relations with us. Then it will be that ‘Israel, the light and the Creator is one’, all of us with the whole world and the Creator will truly be in a single system that is revealed whole, and eternal with the true joy being revealed.
20. S. (44:58) What is the fastest way to reach joy from any state revealed?
R. To reach joy and gladness from every state that is revealed is to start to bestow. Start bestowing to others even when you don't bestow and you will see how quickly you will begin to feel good because when you begin to bestow your attitude towards the others will be similar to the attitude of the Creator, to the created beings. Then we will begin to feel also part of his state, the Creator's. This is how you reach the feeling.
21. S. (46:03) If we pray together as a 10, is it considered a good deed?
R. When you pray together in the 10, it is certainly a good deed. You just need to check how to extract the maximum benefit out of this good deed, but this is the best possible state if you can connect in the 10 and agree to give prayer to the Creator, to the upper force, to receive the force of bestowal that He clothes within us. As a result we will be in this good, beautiful feeling of connection between us that will grow to such an extent that it becomes a place where the Creator can be revealed by Himself there, that He can give us joy and be delighted from us. 22. S. (47:40) What is joy which is in the correct and proper place?
R. The correct place means in the correct vessel of bestowal and the joy is the light that is revealed and the vessel is the result of bestowing.
S. Joy in the right state I can describe it to each and every state that I am in that the Creator lets me be in that state?
R. We are talking about the joy of the righteous, not the joy of the wicked. The joy of the righteous means it is a good deed because you are feeling that you have caused and brought on a good deed and you get the joy as the result. Joy and gladness is the result of good deeds, bestowing.
23. S. (48:50) You said once that Rabash respected such places like football stadiums because it brings joy to people?
R. It is a respected place because people are happy in it. He didn't relate to the fact that there was money there, or any other horrors, or drugs or things that are being bought and sold. He is addressing a simple thing, one aspect of it, that people come in order to feel joy, that they don't want to harm one another, that they come to enjoy and this comes to them from the Creator, not joy from an act whereby they simply just want to enjoy together. Consequently you can respect this place where people connect and produce a feeling of gladness. There is a difference between watching a soccer game or a football game at home lying on the couch and watching it or while being there on the soccer field or the football field where you get ignited by the thousands of people around you. Through the feeling that passes very strongly from one to the other and you don't know yourself. If you look at yourself from the side, you wouldn't know yourself what is happening to me, it happens because the environment influences you so the influence of positivity on a person even on a corporeal beastly level is a result of not some transgression but the connection itself. As was said I respect this place that gives joy to so many people although it had nothing to do with soccer or didn’t understand what it was.
24. S. (51:40) Yesterday, before the preparation to sleep, we read this excerpt in the 10 a few times. In this excerpt you could feel very much the gap between where I want to be and where I am. That both of these have to live in us. Now you gave us very important advice, that if I want to reach that quickly I need to be in bestowal. Let's say that I am one of the friends in the world Kli and I want to be in bestowal, so I have two addresses in general, boardworldkli I can send to the whole society or I can send to the 10. Or maybe I can do something with the 10. What is practical advice here?
R. I didn't understand the essence of the question.
S. How do I bestow to be able to reach joy as quickly as possible?
R. I don't know what the question is, because the purpose is to be in joy. The purpose has to be outside of you, let's say to speak about it. I'm not certain what this has to do with emailing something.
S. What can I do in our work to bestow? With the intention, yes but beyond that, I can add in connection? How do I direct this to the 10? How in the 10 we do an action operating as a team towards dissemination as one type. But something that we want to reach but we are not certain what the right action to go out with is.
R. I don't understand the roundabout question. I know you can connect between you somehow and when you connect find the center of the connection and from this feeling of the center of the connection, related to the Creator that He is the first and he is the last, He brought you to this state and from this state, He now received something in return from you. The connection of Him being first and last will pass through you as the Creator is giving you this state and if you process it correctly and connect to Him, turning back to Him. That He is the first and He is the last and we are in the middle of these discernments. The first and last and this is what we have to do.
25. S. (55:00) We are learning to speak recently. We are in the topic of working on overcoming, can a person be in joy when he is working in coercion?
R. We need to be in coercion as it says until I want it. In the beginning of the work we always have to be in coercion in each and every discernment. In the first discernment, we always work against that and we have to coerce and bend ourselves towards it until we reach a state where we desire first by coercion and then by desire and this is how we work, this is the correction and it is always in the scrutiny, in the operation which goes against the desire. Later in the second half let's say this is in the desire.
26. S. (56:32) What is the difference between the joy of the Kabbalist and the joy of a religious person?
R. I don't know. What is a religious person and I don't want to compare anyone to him, not secular or righteous, and I also don't want you to ask me about it.
27. S. (57:25) Joy is a state that should always be present in our work or is it a result of working for the sake of joy? If so, isn't that joy in the will to receive?
R. Joy has to be when I rise above the desire to receive, in faith above reason, in vessels of bestowing. When I am able to feel these vessels. Joy is a constant state that we have to be in, a constant state where if I am in joy, the kind of joy that constantly check and update and clarify refined more and more that it is connected to the Creator, to creation and the purpose and in all of reality and humanity to the extent that I maintain all of these connections and I am in joy, all the better.
28. S. (59:09) Would you say that feeling joy and elation after the morning lesson is a good measure of joy?
R. Yes and also true.
S. Is this correct that the joy and elation comes when you are with the friends that can ignite a deficiency that you want to bestow?
R. Yes, also true.
S. Is this a huge opportunity, a deficiency specifically to pray and use this as a common deficiency for one man in one heart?
R. Yes, of course
29. S. (01:00:27) The moment there is joy up above and there is joy down below, what is the true joy in the lower one? Should he be happy for himself or be happy because there is a possibility for the lower one below him to bestow?
R. The foundation of all of our joy and gladness is in having a great upper force, very close to us like our father and mother together, and in this force constantly caring for us and constantly loves us and this gives us a feeling of joy. Later, when we are able to connect to it and come close to it and adhere to it even more and actions of bestowing like him and that we want to receive nothing like ourselves to receive in order to bestow, later even to receive in order to bestow, in order to resemble him as much as we can and we want to relate ourselves to him. That whatever he does we want to do as well, that we want to be incorporated in him in this way, to try and do actions together with him and here is the question on what level in the beginning do we cancel ourselves and desire for him to do all of the actions and that later we desire to participate in those actions to some extent and gradually we are coming outside of him and we begin to perform actions like him. This is how we come to our end of correction, from the level zero, up to the level where we discover our bad qualities, and corresponding to them that we can turn them into good qualities that resemble the Creator. This way we shape ourselves to be like the Creator as it is called Adam. What is happening after that I can't exactly tell because there are more stages that will be revealed in due time. This is already our goal, our end of connection to resemble the Creator and in all of these actions he's seemingly in this place.

30. S. (01:06:50) In this world we have joy, sadness which is opposite, next to it. Joy in spirituality doesn't have this opposite. Is this correct?
R. Correct. Joy in spirituality is the result of an act of bestowing.
S. It exists on its own with no opposition?
R. No, but you are placing it on top of the problems and the failures on the way to performing the bestowing. This is why you do not have something else, something different.
S. So I'm going on the left and on the right and I discovered something different?
R. Yes.
31. S. (01:07:49) What is the difference between the state of whiteness and the state of blackness and feeling joy about it?
R. It is all relative to the person, it is not like these qualities exist of themselves, it awakens in the person according to the state, the records of which he is.
S. He also tries to feel good but in the state of joy, he feels good. What is the difference?
R. Whiteness is the state and joy is the feeling.
S. What is the difference if it is the state of whiteness? What does it mean that whiteness is a state and joy is a feeling?
R. Because you are feeling the state and you have the goal, the possibility is that you are feeling the whiteness because you haven't reached the goal. You have partial joy but not complete joy.
S. The joy upon the blackness, this is closer to the goal?
R. Yes, of course because joy is always the result of one state over another state, as created beings this is our only way of feeling anything one relative to the other feeling.
