Reading Item 62 (00:54) RABASH, Article No. 924, "And God Spoke to Moses”

1. Rav’s Introduction: (02:54).This means that the person should make efforts here to connect with the force of bestowal this is called 'above nature', the force of faith, that is called above nature and when he connects with such a disposition then he seemingly shifts into another kind of connection between him and everyone this environment and the Creator and the world. He then operates with a force of bestowal like the Creator and then in such a way he already elevates  himself above all the arguments, above all the obstacles and he enters the upper nature. Why does that happen? What does he say here? Only after despairs from nature that with his ordinary qualities he is not able to achieve the right connection between him and others and the Creator and he asks for help from above to be given help above nature that he will be given such forces that he will be able to connect with everyone in vessels of bestowal.

2. S. (04:48) I see from the excerpt that I will not be able to ask for help above reason if I am not despaired within nature, within my nature to what extent am I supposed to be in despair to sincerely ask for this?

R. With your present qualities you cannot achieve a connection with the Creator. You can't, you have to rise above your nature of the receiver to the nature of the giver, the bestower then you will be able to connect with him to feel, to understand ,to talk with Him to enter a connection with Him.

S. Is it possible to somehow work in advance without reaching such despair?

R. Specifically when a person reaches despair this is the expected and good and purposeful state. When I try to do whatever is within my power and I see that I am  not capable of it and I'm never able to succeed in that and then I surrender, and  I am able to go in faith above reason in the force of bestowal and the force of the Creator.

S. It is just that we work in this that we have some support with a friend's, some group, we are always talking about this, that we support our friends that they will not despair.

R. Along with that since I want to reach the quality of bestowal, but I can't. I have to be certain that I'm going in the right way even though in the end I reached the decision that with my own power I will never be able to achieve the force of bestowal and then from here on I break out with the direct request and get the force of the stole from above.

3. S. (07:31) What point within myself reaches this despair?

R. This point very much wants to reach spirituality contact with the Creator. It discovers its helplessness have the force of the bestowal it is only the desire to reach that but the force itself does not exist. This is the point that remains empty, and it is what brings me to contact with the Creator

4. S. (08:21) In the article it says the Creator can help above reason, how does the Creator help? 

R. The Creator helps in that he gives you the forces to bestow.

5. S. (08:53) Can we expand on this, what it means to be connected with everyone, in vessels bestowal?

R.  Imagine to yourself what it might be and that's it. I can't explain things that are revealed in our emotions, our feelings. We don't have enough words to explain it.

S. Vessels of man or what he feels in the friends?

R. This is actually the friends, but it is revealed in the person. Whatever is revealed, is revealed in the person. We speak about the Creator, the friends and everyone. It is all revealed in the person.

6. S. (09:52) This state of despair that it speaks of here, we are talking about internal work here , Is it speaking about a broken heart ?

R. Yes

7. S. (10:28) Continuing from what the friend was asking, is it possible to come to any degree of above reason? In the Ten we are always praying for connection and for the Creator to help us, Do we as a Ten need to come to a level of despair? Entering this congress, Lishma does the entire Kli need to come to a point of despair in order to raise MAN and enter Lishma.

R. No ,not the entire vessel . We have to help each other to advance. That is one thing. Second,

we need to understand that this is the goal, and this is what we need to yearn for.

S. Are there different levels of despair? Can we reach that without coming to a state of despair?

R.  Certainly, there are degrees of despair however we need to very quickly reach the understanding, the awareness and recognition of the upper force. The despair should be there only as a turning point for us so we will shift to bestow, to faith. The despair should to my own forces to reach in order to bestow

8. S. (12:52) When we reach a decision or a state when my forces cannot reach bestowal what is the crying out dependent on?

R. On the general support of the friends.

9. S. (13:17) If I am yearning all the while I can no reach despair and I cannot be with friends without you learning

R. Try more and more and with all of your friends as much as possible.

10  S. (14:00) How should I relate to that?

R. Repeat everything from the beginning.

S. I wanted to ask what is the ten for me and how should I relate to it?

R. You should accept the ten that it is that same mechanism in which you discover the Creator's attitude towards you. In which you discover your relation to the Creator and in it, you unite, you connect, you discover the Dvekut between you and the Creator and according to the measure of Dvekut that exists between you and the Creator, through the ten you discover the upper world, the spiritual world, your spiritual state it is all inside of the ten.  It is as we learned regarding the Kli that it incorporates ten Sefirot, ten different parts and they all connect together

11. S. (16:01) How does the assistance of the Creator come after despair? Does it come by some images and sensations?

R. I cannot really say. And the way it is revealed, that is how it is revealed. The way the Creator reveals it is how he reveals it.

12. S. (16:33) This point of despair within reason, it feels like suffering but above reason it's felt like freedom. Is that true?

R. I do not know. I do not understand what you said: the point of despair is revealed as a point of freedom above reason?

S. The sensation of freedom from the ego? An ability to raise the request upward?

R. Okay, we will see it I guess. There is something to what you say. We will discover it and feel it  soon. How much this is true or not or not so precise.

13. R. (22:00) Now I recommend to have a workshop. In which sentences can we turn to the Creator so that our appeal will be as a prayer to reach the correction of our Kli. To shift what we have now to a Kli of faith, or a Kli of bestowal. The Kli of within reason and a Kli of above reason. So how can we bring that with a few words and as he says here the feeling of bad later yields the feeling of delight and pleasure, since the recognition of evil in the sensation of the organs causes him then to correct the bad. This is done primarily through prayer. When he asks the Creator to give him Kelim of bestowal called Dvekut. Through these Kelim the goal will be revealed in open Providence. Meaning that it needs to be, there will be no need for concealment because there will already be Kelim that are able to receive. So it no longer needs to be in concealment because there are already vessels in which to receive them and one can receive the revelation of the path of the Creator, of His state because he already has Kelim for it. He already has a Masach and Ohr Hozer and he can receive it in a revealed manner. Okay? So how do we put together a few words or a few sentences, not many, in order to direct them to the Creator and reach what we want to reach. How do we express with just a few words our appeal to the Creator in the right way. As correctly as possible emotionally, intellectually, to the point; it doesn't matter. Let us do it.

14. S. (33:43) What does it mean that the world was created for the fear of heaven?

R. All of nature which I discover it's all in order for me through this nature that I will relate to the Creator as There is None Else Besides Him and Good doing Good. That this is the foundation of the fear of heaven.

15 S. (34:19) What causes a person to awaken and ask questions?

R. The power of the evil inclination that exists within man. This is why this wicked one awakens its force awakens and it demands his share; this is the desire the Creator created, and it exists inside of us.

16. S. (34:48) Why is work in connection bringing us to the fear of heaven?

R. Work in connection awakens Ohr Makif and the Ohr Makif brings us the feeling of the presence of the upper force that is working on us, and this brings us the feeling of the fear of heaven. Meaning that we need to reach the revelation of the contact with, working with, connecting with this force, this Ohr Makif, with the Creator. This is why the work in the group, only it brings us to the upper force. 

16. S. Fear of heaven, does that mean the importance of the Creator?

R. The fear of heaven is the importance of the Creator, yes.

S. So actually the whole world was created in order that we will operate from within ourselves and acknowledge the importance of the Creator?

R. Yes in such a way we can discover the second force in nature, the upper force, the force of the bestowal. 

17. S. (36:45) When it says I'm not giving you an intellectual answer and this is a sign for you to know that the work is in faith above reason. It is like you take the wind out of the sails from the evil inclination. And so my question is, how can we put that unity or wholeness above duality?

R. The matter is that within reason then the intellect we cannot connect at all. Only above reason, above the intellect and force of bestowal and the force of bestowal we can connect and not in any other manner. You see from all the opportunities that humanity had over history we did not succeed to connect.

18. S. (38:06) Ohr Makif is Hassidim?

R. Ohr Makif is Ohr Makif.

19. S. (38:39) From where does a person draw the confidence to help the wicked one if the wicked one is all he knows?

R. It is written that envy, lust, and honor bring a person out of the world. So if he is the corrected root then these forces of envy, lust, and honor they help him to rise above his present state.

20. S. (39:19) At What stage comes the confidence in the environment that he can really trust anything?

R. Slowly, gradually he begins to accumulate in himself all sorts of sensations and facts and in sum total they come to him and build some new foundation. That is it. And he stands upon that and rises on that.

21. S. (40:00) The wicked one asks these questions but actually thanks to the wicked one’s questions we reach a place where there are no answers. A place of faith above reason is that how it is?

R. Correct. Both the wicked and the righteous in man all are managed by the Creator.

22. S. (40:36) You just answered that lust and honor bring us out of this world and help us overcome the wicked one but that same wicked one is the one that does not allow us to envy. It brings everything below reason. What do we do?

R. This wicked still does not escape you.

23. S. (41:16) If the desire leads us to ask questions that bring us closer, is this still the wicked one?

R. Yes.

S. Why but it brings us closer?

R. Of course it brings us closer but not directly.

S. Why does that matter?

R. It is a very big difference. 

S. What is the difference?

R. The difference is that he brings distance in the meantime and this farness can take time and forces.

24. S. (42:08) What is the difference between the work that he says here in the excerpt that, “now I'm walking on the path of faith” and then he tells him that it is a sign that he should know that the work is in the faith above reason. What is the difference between these two states?

R. Yes, faith and faith above reason I think in this case it is not really important. He means the same thing. Sometimes he uses faith but not here, which is the common faith. That is how a person is taught as a child. That a person is taught that there is a Creator, and this is how things need to be done, and you'll have either heaven and hell and so on the common faith. But we are talking about faith above reason which is already the quality of the Creator that we want to be. To that quality we want to rise.

25. S. (43:33) How can I keep the fear of heaven?

R. Within this you are looking at the friends and receiving such a sensation from them. Try it.

26. S. (44:20) In relation to this exercise you just gave us, can we define it as scrutinizing the prayer in the ten?

R. Partially yes.

S. Each time at the end of the lesson we do a summary for the lesson and we build a prayer. Each one from his state says a sentence and we connect these sentences and this is how the prayer is built which we read between us in the Zoom meetings, etc. How important is it to do this scrutiny each time?

R. Not many do this and those that do I'm sure they are advancing consciously and correctly.

S. If so, I have a question. Each one from his state let us say someone is in the feeling of hatred towards the Creator or someone feels hatred towards the friends. Another one has a desire for spirituality but he cannot reach it or someone says he doesn't want to reach it. How do we connect all of these into a single request?

R. Imagine to yourself that all of these states come to you from one Creator; the Only One and in each one of you, the states are all with the respect to the private state of the person and so you need to annul, to remove all of your private states in order to reach the general state that the Creator is inserting between you. Think about it.

S. This exercise is directed towards that exactly?

R. Yes.

27. S. (46:50) They both are because of a deficiency. Is there a difference between a question and a prayer?

R. Actually it could be that there is no difference. It depends on what is asked and what is being prayed for. It is hard to say if there is or isn't a difference. It is all dependent on a person's intention. What does he want in this that he is asking or praying.

S. Then can I ask after one reaches faith above reason, he doesn't have any more questions but is he still in prayer? There's a difference there right, then the will to receive?

R. Yes. In faith above reason he is praying only in order to reach greater bestowal. More bestowal.

28. S. (48:13) How much does the force of envy, lust, and honor. How necessary are they in order to advance in Lishma?

R. We will not begin to open this up. These three factors can raise a person above his entire ego. All in all our ego is nourished from these three factors.

S.  At the level of the individual it is clear how to awaken it. The question is how do we activate these forces at the level of the ten. How does the ten activate these forces?

R. Let them talk between them and decide how they do this, how they can correct this and then it will become clear. How to correctly work with these three factors: envy, lust, and honor.

S. But these three factors influence each and every one in a different way. Maybe one friend is influenced this way and another friend is influenced another way. Should the ten speak about each and every friend and how to bestow to him, how to influence him?

R. No, but nonetheless it could be that sometimes, yes. If this friend is having difficulties and the group is having difficulties, to work with him. But it is all for the benefit of everyone. You just need to work on it more, more quickly, more lively and to quickly reach prayer.

29. S. (50:18) If a person asks to be in adhesion with the Creator in every state, in the best state, in the worst state, what else can he demand? 

R. That this adhesion should be as whole as possible, meaning that he connects to all the friends and adjoins them to himself that they are found within his heart, and then with his heart he reaches the Creator and his friends become as angels with which he adheres to the Creator.

30. S. (51:22) If we discover that we are contained in a single thought, what are we supposed to do?

R. It's good for us to be in one thought, what we need to do, simply to ask in that one thought, in that same appeal to the Creator that he should be revealed to us in a more and more and more whole manner. Because by this we will be corrected and become like him. That is our work, return all the way to the Creator. 

31. S. (52:30) I had this Insight, this understanding that there are three foundations for a person, of the wicked one and the righteous, but the true foundation is the part of the Creator, if we remove the wicked one and the righteous then it's only the part of the Creator and it's hidden from me?

R.  Not completely correct but you can think in such a manner that it will be like this for now. 

32. S. (53:14) Is Faith in our work when we feel the importance of the connection between us and we hold on regardless of what's happening, which the intellect might say something in opposition, but we hold on to the connection because that's the goal, even though it doesn't make sense intellectually?

R. Yes correct. 

33. S. (54:12) Sorry but in bestowal above reason, I think there's extra bestowal, more bestowal, how do we get this additional bestowal once we have faith above reason? 

R. Repeat.

S. I'm asking once there is understanding, faith above reason, I was thinking that maybe you said that the bestowal there is different, there is no more prayer for bestowal, but for extra bestowal, how is this bestowal different than?

R.  I don't understand the question. Bestowal is different between what and what? 

S. You said that before that once you reach bestowal there is extra bestowal, what is this extra bestowal?

R.  Even more so, even to a bigger degree, quite simply. 

34. S. (55:41) A question about the prayer, during the lesson we feel such a deficiency towards the materials that we are studying, it awakens questions in us and that is very good, when we finish the lesson, we have a summary and a prayer, it seems as though we are inventing some words that are prayer?

R.  That's correct, when you are together, under the influence of the lesson together with me, then you seemingly rise to the faith of above reason and when the lesson ends, you return and descend back to your level and there is a sensation that everything disappears, that nothing from what filled it before exists anymore. And that's how it happens and it will happen again and not just once, it could be many times and later on you will see nonetheless how this begins to receive in different forms and remains within you and you already are beginning to exist at the level of faith above reason, and still you will also fall from that level of faith above reason, and rise again, back to faith above reason.

S.  Thank you and we'll hope it will happen soon.

R.  Much faster than it will happen to me. 

35. S. (57:46) You said that we have to reach prayer as quickly as possible. Should we persuade the Creator all the time that this is what we want?

R. All the time, To ask of the Creator to raise you higher than your intellect to the upper mind the upper intellect. Ask for this all the time and the best thing is for it to be together at least each one when he has an opportunity

S. We actually have to persuade ourselves first before we turn to the Creator?

R. Yes of course you need to talk to him all the time through the center of the group.

36. S. (58:43) About quote sixty-three, it says their faith above reason causes one to feel within reason his enemy, who is the one obstructing thinking from reaching the good? The question is does it mean that when a person goes above reason he can use his reasons  simultaneously,  at the same time to get to know the evil within him?

R. He needs to use reason and he also needs to ask to be above reason.

37. S. (59:31) I feel that without fear I do not have faith, how can I develop the fear?

R. There are articles by Rabash about this that  fear we also receive through the environment.

38. S. (59:58) About quote sixty-four, why can't the wicked one no longer ask questions when I am going above the intellect? Why does this silence him?

R. The wicked cannot ask questions if he does not have justification to ask. It is the force of the Creator that works in the opposite manner in order to help us come closer to the goal with both feet as it is called. That same wicked one has a role, a special role . This is how it works. We need to respect the wicked too, without it we could not reach the goal.

39. S. (01:01:01) Each time it seems to me that we reach the despair of my own forces and then again the ego grows even more, when does a person reach a final despair of his forces? How does he from that point reach the point to bestow?

R. Repeat it again

S. Each time it seems to me that I reach despair of my own forces and then again the ego grows even more. When does a person reach the final point of final despair of his forces and how does he reach from that point to bestow?

R.  It comes in parallel, a person reaches a greater and greater despair and then he is more and more ready to be in the intention to bestow.

40. S. (01:01:58) How to cope with despair out of the fact that the Creator's answer, it  doesn't seem like the Creator answered that he hears we are turning to him.

R. We think that the true despair is that I cannot have those friends. I have nothing with which to help  them. I'm just I, I'm empty. They have vessels and I cannot fill them. I cannot help them. I cannot hold them, from this we need to get the sensation of despair. Try in such a manner to reach a connection between you. You will see just how nice it is and how much it advances you. Is that clear? Meeting both the attainment of the goal and attainment of despair all needs to be up on the Ten.

41. S. (01:03:23) Does a person feel faith above reason as a force that is revealed within his heart?

R. Yes of course, where else could it be revealed? Only in the heart, the force of faith above reason, is the second force in nature, well I would say it's the first force of the Creator, the force of bestowal, the force of love, the true force that exists. The force of reception exists only in order that upon that we would reveal the force of bestowal.

42. S. ( 01:04:25) In the previous excerpt,  it said that we need to increase our faith in the Creator,  how can we raise, elevate our faith in the Creator? Is this something that we can do or do or is it something we get from above.

R. We receive everything from above and thus we need the smallest of each appeal to turn to the Creator. More correctly we need to be constantly connected to the Creator, tied to the Creator and all the time to see with what I am turning to Him right now.

43. S. (01:05:47) We learned that when we take the decision to walk on the right path, the path of bestowal, there is an opposing force that prevents us from advancing. My question is what is the meaning of this decision that a person puts all of his enthusiasm into it and his force in order to overcome the wicked within him.

R. Meaning that he wants to rise above his egoistic beastly nature. It is the degree of beast, the degree of animate and he wants to reach the degree of speaking, man, similar to the Creator and this is what we need to do. This that we operate within our will to receive it only says that we operate on the degree of animate and that we want to rise above reason in bestowal in identification with the Creator that brings us to the degree of man similar to The Creator to the degree of speaking. That is it, thus we need to speak with the Creator

44. S. (01:07:54 ) Is there a meaning to the fact that one time the Kabbalists write to us to have faith above reason and other times just above reason?

R. Without the  word faith?

S. Yes

R. That's not important.

S. In our work faith above reason is something that is spiritual already.

R. Yes

S In our work we use this word a lot, we say that I did this work, I did some action above reason. Is that ok, even though I don't feel it? 

R. Whatever you feel or do not feel I cannot say but above reason it is already a spiritual degree.

(01:08:56) You said that we have to be constantly be in a dialogue with the Creator all day long, every time I try to be in the dialogue with the Creator I remember that there is not dialogue with the Creator there is only a dialogue with the Creator through the Ten and I do not know how to do that and I end up not being in the dialogue at all so how do we do it?

R. Try, search, speak, ask him to show you this, overall you need to build this structure, this form what is it called that you are connecting to the Creator through the ten. There is some mechanism here, some system of connection between you that you want to be in connection with the Creator. Through the same points of connection you enter in connection, communication with the Creator. and you want to remain in that all the time

S. How is it possible to ask the Creator for something well which is seemingly for me. Let's say I do not have the strength, I want to invest in the group more, it is as if I want it for me but through the Ten to the Creator. I don't understand how to focus it through the Ten to the Creator, it's been a long time already. The Creator is also not grasped, not perceived without the Ten. no grass or proceed without the Ten. How can you describe Him without the Ten?

R. I don't describe Him.

S. That is the thing I don't understand.

R Because all in all, only if you incorporate into Ten and within the Ten you depict this force that appears in the entire Ten together and then you are also adhered to that.

S. What is the benefit from a prayer for the despair if we can only pray out of this despair that we cannot do it yourself so what is the benefit of the prayer from?

R. Even though you do not want to pray I advise you to pray like a little child that is begging his mother and father and he sees that he doesn't really want it, he just wants attention or something but not that he has a true desire, You see that nonetheless, he wants, and he comes again and again. S. Why does He accept them? He knows I'm lying; I know I am lying. Why would I give it to me? Why would He accept it?

R. It is as he gave you, which is still not a complete desire, but He gave it to you and  with this incomplete desire that he gave you, with that, you turn to Him

46. S. (01:12:23) These seem like simple things but it is very deep actually, can we say that the intellect is like a boundary? If the intellect serves my desire we get reason at the end and if the intellect engages in the desire of the friend or the Creator is that the same thing? Is that how we get to faith?

R. I do not understand what you were saying maybe you should say the in Russian

R. Correct

47. S. (01:13:44) The question is that the wicked ones' internal questions or maybe the questions we bring are also questions of the wicked one?

I will say it again, is the question of the wicked one considered an inner question, or it could be the questions that we ask here, now are also the questions of the wicked one?

S. Most of the time I do not have any questions, I would like to see us on the screen with these intentions but the Creator does not give  me any questions to bring  but lately I had a few questions so that is why I would like to know why he gave me a few questions lately even though usually I do not have any questions to bring?

R. I do not know. I do not know . It seems that because you are talking  among each other and laughing in between each other. That is why you are not so worthy of all of the Creator to bring questions to your heart. You need to be a little bit more serious and prepared to receive questions from the Creator

48. S. (01:16:33) What is the expression in group, the despair of the Ten? 

R. Again 

S. What is the expression in group, the despair of the Ten? 

R.  Despair of the Ten, that can be only for a short time from the general sorrow that comes to a  Ten. The Ten needs to very quickly arrange itself with her inner force and to see how it can be overcome. That is good, it really connects the Ten and it pushes it forward.

S. What is the connection between personal ten  and the Tens despair?

R. Personal despair is individual, it is nothing. Despair of the Ten, it is already a clear sign that it is in order to advance everyone towards the goal.

49. S. (01:18:15) Each time that I overcome, and I go above reason does that mean that I'm in spirituality?

R. Yes

And I can remain in that forever for good, already this state becomes spiritual.

58. S. (01:34:15) I thought that working in envy, lust and honor takes a person out of this world, or is this simply a different state in the work?

R. Working in envy, honor and lust takes a person out of the world, yes. If one is capable and able to rise himself above his ego and that is expressed in envy, honor, and lust.

S. Can you combine the work here described with envy, lust, and honor and how?

R. Try it.

What do you want from me, it's not me who created the will to receive that only in a way and only while it's connected to everyone and all of the ten, it reaches completion and wholeness.

S. Meaning with what thought should I come here this morning to be the cleanest and purest, what thought?

R. To be in inclusion with the friends.

S. And then I attain Lishma?

R. Then you attain the Kli and the desire that is connected with the others’ desire even though you don’t feel it but inside it takes place and then in that Mutual Kli you start discovering the force of the bestowal.

66. S. (01:57:18) Is it correct that it's easier for women to pray because it's part of their nature and maybe that's why their prayer needs to include a request for the prayer of the men and then it will be more correct above nature?

R. Yes, the prayer of women is a very important one and they have to do everything we are learning about with the prayers of men and certainly they will succeed even more than that. The important thing is to activate the prayer.

S. Should we include in our prayer a prayer for the success of the men in their prayer meaning to want for them to want to have that ability?

They will begin to understand that inside of us internally and then we will begin to approach the friends and approach the faith above reason and then approach correction but not before that. Understand it simply, we are the only group that in principle is even dealing with this question. This is the greatest in the sharpest and highest question regarding the connection of a person with the Creator and with nature, that is what we are dealing with today. The fact that many friends don't get it or they're walking away from it, there's nothing that you can do, of course you can't let them go, we have to explain it but in principle it's natural that they're leaving. S. It needs to be pure joy like with Baal HaSulam where it's written somewhere I can’t remember where that all the problems and the great troubles I go in a state of joy and I feel myself.

R. That’s in the prophecy of the Baal HaSulam.

S. The state needs to be so constant or is it this joy that comes and goes?

It's called dancing when the men, you know, dancing of the bride there's this concept from the Bible, that expresses all of the yearning, all the joy from coming closer from the expectation for the future. Imagine that you are in this preliminary state, the head of the state of coming closer.

80. S. (02:18:35) I'd like to awaken yearning for the Creator and everyone's hearts, and I'd like to see my ten as a guide for all of humanity but my reason tells me that I am distant from it. So how can I stabilize this contradiction? Do I need to hold it in faith above reason and pray?

R. Exactly, hold on to faith above reason and pray,. and even though we will become wise and aware and understanding we will reach a state where we see that we are not doing anything but rather everything the Creator does, He arranges for us all of that final point at the end of correction.

From what I understand he's in the right line in a state of perfection of wholeness, so what motivation is there to do something, to move, to do more, because maybe there's the left line that needs to awaken during the day?

R.
