Reading: (00:29) RABASH, Article No. 6 (1984), "Love of Friends – 2"
If several individuals come together with the force that it is worthwhile to abandon self-love, but without the sufficient power and importance of bestowal to become independent, without outside help, if these individuals annul before one another and all have at least potential love of the Creator, though they cannot keep it in practice, then by each joining the society and annulling oneself before it, they become one body.
For example, if there are ten people in that body, it has ten times more power than a single person does.
However, there is a condition: When they gather, each of them should think that he has now come for the purpose of annulling self-love. It means that he will not consider how to satisfy his will to receive now but will think as much as possible only of the love of others. This is the only way to acquire the desire and the need to acquire a new quality, called “the will to bestow.”
And from love of friends one can reach love of the Creator, meaning wanting to give contentment to the Creator.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (05:05) It is known that the Creator does not assist in debauchery, and so Baal HaSulam gave us order through these writings. And I have the question: Why do we attain this world as an analog to the upper world through four phases of direct light? And the upper world we attain as the source of this world through the four phases of direct light? Why is it so?
M. Laitman: Because one is the result of another.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (05:57) A strong society, not a strong friend, that's our goal. And the question is, look, I listened to the study of the Ten Sefirot lessons, and on Monday you gave us a tip. At 5 minutes to 6 p.m. the friend was reading, and you said that envy is a great thing, that envy is capable of lifting you up, or God forbid, lowering you. So, it's worthwhile for everyone to find that clip. Now, my question is if each one sits quietly, annuls himself, no problem. If a person doesn't say anything, right, how does he observe each one should help his friend? How will he evoke positive envy, which is a means by which to develop, as you said? So how does one work without the other?
M. Laitman: That's right, that's why I said that it's something we need to be concerned of, to develop envy in each and every one.
Student: Positive envy.
M. Laitman: Yes, positive, and that depends on as much as we truly value the friend, appreciate him.
Student: And that means, that's the meaning of each one helps each other, or is it?
M. Laitman: No, no, no, it's help. We need to depict envy in all its might, in all of society. And then what kind of form it should show us. Yes, please, a workshop: Let's depict that we are in a society that reaches the true magnitude of envy.
