Item 11 “The worlds cascade into the level of this corporeal world….” (00.32 - 06:52) Read twice

1. R. In item 11 in these lines Baal HaSulam describes the whole process that humanity goes through in discovering what it is, where it is, and what form it exists. This is what we call the time of corruption which is ready for us in advance. It is only that we discover it during the cascading of the broken Reshimot upon us from above and this is what we call the time of corruption. In this way each and every one gets it personally and entire humanity discovers it generally. As he says that in each and every one his corruptions are revealed until 13 years. This is just a sign as there is no such thing as 13 real years. We can wish that it would take 13 years for the evil inclination to be revealed in a person. This is what the Kabbalists say and this is how they determined it. Later we will see what the spiritual root of that is but it has no relevance to the corporeal world. I wish we could discover even in the middle of our life the time of corruption. This starts the time of correction. When we draw the light: that reforms we want to bestow contentment to the Creator and we get the upper force, correcting the broken desires, the corrupt desires, and then we reach equivalence of form with the Creator which is the time of correction. Until we completely attain all of the desire to receive so it can be entirely too in order to bestow. As it is written by that man becomes worthy of receiving all of the good and pleasure and gentleness in the thought of creation.

2. S. (09:39) Can a person invert his whole will to receive and change it in one lifetime?

R. No it takes many years until a person discovers all of the evil in him and accordingly he corrects this evil to become good. It is a process.

3. S. (10:12) Is a person who passes the Machsom so he also lives in states of purity and impurity?

R. He sees what's happening with all the human beings understanding what goes on with them and motivates them. However, he himself is above it. Only by seeing creation from one end to another. This is why he justifies the Creator and understands that it is impossible in any other way only by the revelation of evil and turning it into good people, human beings attaining the purpose of creation. This is why he justifies the Creator and this is how he keeps on going.

4. S. (11:43) Are all humans able to reach that pleasure of the connection in which Baal HaSulam in his letters like us or do we have to give them something else a different pleasure ?

R. There is one system in which we are all living, existing. In the system there are many souls and these souls have to go through corruption, the feeling of corruption, how far they are from the Creator and later to come to a state that they are connected between themselves and accordingly coming closer to the Creator. These states each and every one of us has to go through them and all of us together, there is a special process here, Reshimot (records) and the motor is working. This is how it moves, everyone from the beginning of creation to the end of creation. We may accelerate our path of development but we have no choice but to go through all of the states, which is basically the correction of the Reshimot to begin with that have been revealed as broken Reshimot. Broken Reshimot means there is no connection between us and there is even an inverted connection between us, a wrong connection and an egoistic one. This is our work. That we can take part of this process and if we do not take part of this process, we also come to correction. This is called the path of suffering. Such states appear that push us forward by the torment and if we understand the reason for learning the wisdom of Kabbalah, then we understand this process and we can aid the process and this is how we advance faster without bows and with communication with the Creator. This is basically the whole deal. There is nothing to change here besides the speed of correction and our relation to the correction. If we want to relate to the path of correction and take part in this whole process of correction to give contentment to the Creator not because we want to run away from blows or the pressure, then by that we are considered righteous when we justify the Creator and we want to thank Him for giving us such an opportunity. This is how we advance.

5. S. (15:16) What do we acquire in the times of corruption and is there a full extent that we have to reach?

R. In the time of corruption we discover how broken we are. These shattering, these breakings come before us. It is not us who broke the vessel. It is the Creator who prepared this whole negation, this whole breaking for us. However, we have to accept this and to try later to correct and to take part in the correction, when we are asking the Creator to correct. Why do we have to go through such a thing? So that we can turn ourselves that we can ask Him not to correct Reshimot, but that through the correction we will come closer to Him. For us it is not important what state we are in but rather that we use these broken Reshimot to come closer to Him and to justify Him, to rise above our states. Here in relation to the broken Reshimot this is the place of our work.

6. S. (15:16) How during the corrections, during the shattering do we not let anyone fall off, only turn to the Creator?

R. By you being connected together in the group.

7. S. (17:20) I want to continue with the friend's questions; He said in my lifetime when a person lives can he correct the entire will to receive that belongs to him?

R. Theoretically yes, is it really this way? I cannot say. It seems to me that we need to try to reach that but it is possible I cannot say. To me it seems that this is done by a few incarnations.

8. S. (18:13) What does it mean that he extends the holy soul?

R. The holy soul means that we draw and extend the life that corrects us, that same portion of light that corrects us and fills us is called Nefesh of Kedusha, a holy soul.

9. S. (18:39) The process of building the soul in the system of holiness or impurity, after the first restriction, because there wasn't a soul yet it wasn't a system of correction?

R. This is something that we will learn. It starts from the world Atzilut with the building of Adam HaRishon and all these things, this is where we will learn this.

10. S. (19:16) What is the role of the world in the correction?

R. The worlds are the concealment of the upper light in order to help the souls correct themselves.

11. S. (19:36) What does 13 mean?

R. There is no meaning, you can't erase it that is what is written there is nothing to it, it is just the way that the couple has decided that they would call it the age of commandant that until the age of 13 is the age of corruption and from the age of 13 on it is the age of correction and we are certainly not talking about our life, they take it as if there is nothing to it. In spirituality we use the sign 13 but in corporeality it has no foundation, no basis. That's it. We can wish to be corrupted until we are 13 years old and then from that age on we will acquire the good inclination.

12. S. (20:55) It is not clear to me because it is written that he corrects the will to receive imprinted in him and he gradually corrects it. What does it mean that he is drawing the soul through the worlds of holiness and the thought of creation?

R. When we are in the world of ABYA we go through the world Ein Sof, the world of Adam Kadmon, and the world of Atzilut and the illumination we get from above, it corrects us, we get from above raises us according to our efforts to be corrected, the same light raises us according to our efforts to be corrected, it raises us, that same light raises us upwards to the degrees of the world of Atzilut.

13. S. (22:09) In order to receive, is it what a person accumulates before he comes to the group?

R. He doesn't have in order to receive before being in a group, in order to receive is something that is discerned only with respect to the friends that he wants to connect with, he understands he is incapable of it, he doesn't want it etc. Everything is only scrutinized in the connection with the friends both the will to bestow and the will to receive.

14. S. (22:43) If all of humanity will need to come into connection with Baal HaSulam writings or is this just for us?

R. No, this is only for us, those who join us but the other humanity, the rest of humanity, everyone else just to people they don't need it and don't demand it. Just like in our world, some people want to get to know the world through science and all kinds of things and some just live and feel good in this way. Meaning that they have no pressure, impulse to know the rules of this world, etc. Some are like this and some are like that. People are according to their Reshimot and this tendency towards the Creator they are called Yashar El, straight to the Creator, This is us and whoever joins us. The ones who are not joining, talking about the entire humanity, they belong to what we call the nations of the world. They will join us later, whenever they feel that they have nothing in life, and their life is very difficult, that there is nothing that they can enjoy even a little bit and then they will come closer to us and they will get a small illumination from us from what we have to what they can use and enjoy. This is how it is going to be. Just like in our world we can say some people develop all kinds of instruments, science, medicine, some people work and only know how to push the button, that all, only how to use the instruments. This is the same way in spirituality.

15. S. (24:56) In what we read it says that reception in order to bestow is a form of complete pure bestowal. How can we implement that in the group?

R. It is not so simple and not so close. First of all we have to reach a state, where we are reaching a restriction, where we don't want anything for ourselves and then to bestow in order to bestow. When I am willing to do everything for another, whatever he needs, I don't need anything from him. Then even to receive in order to bestow when I am willing to receive an order to bestow to another, these are very high and sublime things that will be clarified in the degrees of the world, ABYA. We will learn all of that and we will try to go into implementing it. We are trying to go in now by what we are learning through our work in the group, the way that we connect in a way that we preferred bestowing over reception so that they are still making, will be for us like reception. That if I bestow for me that it is a reward already, see what we learned in the first lesson both yesterday and today.

16. S. (26:47) Can you explain the connection between Masechet Kidushin and pure bestowing?

R. Yes, we learned it a few times.

S. What is the connection to understand exactly?

R. We explained if the groom is important to the wife instead of giving her the ring, by that he is sanctifying her and making her his wife, so there could be a state that instead of giving to her he is receiving something from her, the opposite, why? Because he is important to her and if it comes down to the point where he has something from her it is a great pleasure and this is considered as if he is giving to her. Meaning the matter is the essence of the quality, of the connection, that if I am someone important and if I accept from someone a gift, by that I am giving pleasure to the one giving me the gift and if I don't accept it from him I am causing him sorrow. That is why it is not a matter of who is giving to who, it is a matter of degrees, who is more important than who. This is why for us when we receive we enjoy it but if the Creator is important in our eyes and we give Him and He accept from us we also enjoy that and then the entire wisdom of Kabbalah is how we reach a state that we give the Creator, He received and this is our entire pleasure. By this we are fulfilled with the upper light NRNHY, this is how we reach the correction. That all of our correction is to invert our desire to receive, that we want to receive everything from Him but it will be the opposite, the restriction, screen, reflected light we will be giving to him and that will be infinite pleasure.

S. As I know how to receive from the Creator this is how I bestow?

R. Yes.

17. S. (29:43) To ask about the situation we just learned about, bestowing is my reward, where is the bestowing felt and in what vessels do we feel the reward?

R. Restriction, screen, reflected light when I bestow, by that I am receiving fulfillment. We get to fulfillment in the same desire to receive but in the desire to receive which is corrected in order to bestow.

S. That is the change of intention, what is the restriction, screen and reflected light?

R. Only by changing the intention, whoever looks from the side of the bride and groom sees that the groom is taking a gift from the bride whoever understands says no, it's not the bride giving the gift to the groom, it is the groom who is going down to the state where he is accepting something from the bride and by that he is giving to her.

Item 12 “Thus we have thoroughly explained the correction of….” (31:14) Twice

18. S. (36:27) What is the difference between the system of Tuma’a and Klipot?

R. Nothing, everything is in order to receive, there is in order to receive or in order to bestow and there are a lot of names for each.

19. S. (36:55) Can you explain the first part where he prepared two systems and the soul is divided into body and soul and then they re-clothe in each other?

R. This is how it is called there is a desire to receive which is called the body and Nefesh, the soul, which is already in order to bestow what the body is receiving. We will see you later on, it's very difficult to understand what it has to do with body, soul. We get confused with all kinds of images which do not belong. We clearly explain the connection of the desire to receive and print it in the souls from the thought of creation that the Creator has created two systems one opposite the other through which the souls pass, body and soul which dress in one another. I understand it is not simple but let us accept it, that this is the way it is and afterwards we will see, he will speak about it.

20. S. (38:15) Is Klipa as a vessel without a screen?

R. Yes. Klipot are the desire to receive without a screen, yes, the desire to receive with the intention to receive as they desire to receive is either in Kedusha or Klipot but if it works in order to receive this is called a Klipa or if it is working in order to bestow this is called sanctity, Kedusha.

21. S. (39:10) Man rises in the worlds by discovering the Klipot?

R. Man rises in the world by discovering let’s say Klipot. The desires to receive in order to receive, that belongs to him and he corrects them in order to bestow.

22. S. (39:35) In the passage it says and death will be swallowed up forever. What does this mean?

R. That there won't be death, the desire to receive that can separate us from the light, from the Creator.

23. S. (40:06) Can you compare the death of the desire to receive with the state of the end of correction?

R. Yes of course, the desire to receive in the form of in order to receive is all from the Creator, it separates us and this is called death. No we are in death this is called the wicked in their life are called death, it means whoever is in order to receive. The definitions are very clear and very precise as they slice reality here or there.

24. S. (41:06) According to what I understand in this item, the Creator created the system of the other side and the Klipa so there will be a reality of correction in creation?

R. Correct.

S. Why is that important?

R. By that we grow by correcting the Klipa.

Item 13 “Indeed we still need to understand how they desire….” (41:39)

25. S. (44:20) There is a Creator and the created being so what is the screen made of? Is it from the matter of the creator or the created being?

R. The screen is entirely a result of the upper light that bestows on the desire and the desire receives a quality from this light that it can reject the reception for itself and this is called a screen, Masach. Meaning the bestowing of the upper light on the will to receive, that bestowing creates a screen in the will to receive.

S. The ascent happens by the same degree that we spoke about in Igulim or in Yosher?

R. It is all straightness, all spiritual actions that we learn about our in straightness by the screen, the intention and the right direction, it is all in the straightness. The circles (Igulim) is the Creator working on us in a concealed way. We don't feel the circles, we only feel the results that the Creator’s attitude toward us that is revealed, is in straightness.

Item 14 (46:16) “You necessarily find that there are three states to the soul….”

26. R. (52:37) I recommend reading these things again till tomorrow. We will continue to scrutinize it gradually. First time you read such an introduction it seems to us like it has so many details and what are we going to do as there is no way to digest all of this in depth. First in general, we hear it and then we go deeper and a bit deeper until we discover that these things can organize before us according to the flow, according to the world, the process of the timeline that it is supposedly time that we will understand what is happening here. Gradually, slowly we will absorb these things as they are given to us to understand and we will try to know and realize it in us.
