220. It is written, “Is this how you repay the Lord?” “This” is the Shechina. The letter Hey of the word Hibaraam is small, implying Malchut. The Hey of “THE Lord” is big, implying Bina. Hey in any place implies the Creator, and is called “mother.” However, they are two worlds, Bina and Malchut, of which it is written, “From the world and to the world,” from Bina to Malchut.
It is written, “with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil.” This means that Yesod of ZA draws the oil from the upper world to the lower world, Malchut. It is written, “Is this how you repay the Lord?” This comprises three degrees together, which are the upper world, which is the big Hey of “THE Lord,” HaVaYaH himself, ZA, who draws from her the abundance to “this,” the Shechina.
221. The Creator did not remove His love from Israel. Wherever they were, the Creator was among them, as it is written, “I will not spurn them, neither will I abhor them so as to destroy them utterly and break My covenant with them.” It is precisely “with them,” that the Creator is among them, “with them,” and never departs from them.
222. It is written, “And I will go down to save him from the hand of Egypt.” It should have said “I will go down,” is the “and” redundant? The “and” turns the future into past. When Jacob went down to Egypt, the Creator went down with him in order to save him from the hand of Egypt. Had He not been among them, they would not have been able to tolerate the exile, as it is written, “I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”
223. Wherever Israel are present, the Creator is among them. Wherever the sages of the generation go, the Creator goes with them, as it is written, “For He will command for you His angels,” and it is written, “And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. And when Jacob saw them, he said, ‘This is God’s camp.’”
It is written, “These are the generations of the heaven and the earth.” The heaven is to include the Creator, ZA, and the earth is to include the Creator, Malchut, who is called earth. Anything below Atzilut, the three worlds BYA, are called “the generations of the heaven and the earth,” from whom they were born, from ZA and Malchut.
225. BeHibaraam [when they were created], Be Hey Beraam [created them with a Hey], with Malchut. Thus, how are they the generations of the heaven and the earth, meaning from ZA, too? It is all one thing, since when the heaven, ZA, conjoined with Malchut, then the letter Hey, Malchut, brought forth generations [offspring], and these are called “the generations of the heaven and the earth.
Why was it explained that BeHibaraam [when they were created] is BeAvraham [in Abraham], whose letters are the same, and what is the connection of Abraham to this? It is all one thing, in Abraham, Hesed of ZA. The heaven is ZA, since ZA begins to expand from Hesed. The first Sefira of ZA is Hesed, and you find that the name Abraham, too, implies ZA, like the name “heaven.” When it is said “created them with a Hey,” it is earth, Malchut, and you find that heaven and earth are implied in the letters of “when they were created. It is all one thing.
226. “These are the generations of the heaven and the earth.” This world was created with Hey, with Malchut, as it is written, BeHibaraam, BeHey Beraam. And the next world, Bina, was created with Yod, Hochma, as it is written, “And a river comes out of Eden to water the garden.” The river, Bina, comes out of Eden, Hochma, to water the garden, ZA.
“A river comes out of Eden” includes the heaven, ZA, who is called a “river.” The garden includes the earth, Malchut, for ZA comes out from HB, and both are called “Eden,” and waters Malchut, the garden.
227. It is written, “a garden fountain, a well of living water, and flowing streams from Lebanon.” “A garden fountain,” the heaven, ZA, is a river, which is a well of living water, as it is written, “And the servants of Isaac dug a well there,” and it is written, “And he moved from there and dug another well.” “Flowing streams from Lebanon,” from Hochma. The flowing streams are crowned above, in Hochma, and climb to the head of the king, in GAR of ZA, as it is written, “And Your kindness above all the earth,” as it is extended from Hochma, above ZA, the heaven.
228. “From Lebanon,” from Hochma, from which the flowing streams, the abundance, comes to Bina. It flows and is extended to all the angles, to the four directions HG TM of ZA. Until those fountains flow and come down to gather to the place called the “great sea,” Malchut, as it is written, “All the streams go to the sea,” where the streams HG TM of ZA go to Malchut, the sea, and it is written, “Look to the rock from which you were hewn,” which is Abraham, Hesed of ZA.
After “And flowing streams from Lebanon, it is written, “A locked garden is my sister, my bride,” Malchut, who receives the streams from ZA. Generations emerge from Malchut to all the worlds, as it is written, BeHibaraam, BeHey Beraam, with Malchut, truly with Abraham, Hesed of ZA, which are the streams that are drawn from upper Hochma, who is called Lebanon, to ZA, and from ZA to Malchut, from which there are all the generations in BYA, and even actually in Jacob, Tifferet of ZA, since Tifferet contains HG within it, and it is all one thing.
