Part 1: Baal HaSulam. The Writings of the Last Generation. (Part One. Title: The Negative)

Reading: (00:28) The Writings of the Last Generation. (Part One. Title: The Negative)

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (02:11) A sound basis, is the knowledge that the society will supply a person with everything he needs? Or is it the importance of the goal?

M. Laitman: No, it has to be a connection with the goal. Connection with the goal.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (02:48) What level of connection or contact with the Creator does there need to be for a person to agree with nationalization? It sounds like something that's way above one's nature.

M. Laitman: Yes, the person connects to the source and that's more important to him than anything he has on the normal path, and that's how he advances. Meaning, he's ready to destroy the buildings that he built; proof, facts, all those things are not important to him but, rather, the goal is important to him.

Student: In nationalization, there's something, it's like giving all your assets, all that you have. You're saying, it's not mine, it belongs to the state, or something else, it's not mine. Maybe for a moment it's in such a state but it's kind of like a point of no return, you can't regret it later.

M. Laitman: Right.

Student: Sounds like a very high spiritual level, it's not the beginning of something.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: The whole nation needs to be in such a state?

M. Laitman: This has to be not the entire nation but most of the people, yes, most of the public, otherwise, there won't be any power even to a single person. We have to understand that each one receives from the environment, and he drinks, and he gets all his powers from the environment. Therefore, fuel, the fuel, that he receives from the public is something he has to be concerned about, okay?

Student: This fuel for the work that comes to a person, it what? There needs to be a certain overcoming each time in the matter of nationalization? Or one time, and I simply live in it?

M. Laitman: No, of course not, it's without cessation; it has to be, if he wants to be in a state of nationalization, under the concealment. And it has to be concealment from himself, as well, he has to approach it gradually and be more and more certain that fact that he's not receiving anything. It brings him greater forces, compared to if he receives something.

Student: And the public opinion here cannot bring something that this is the reality, that I shouldn't be too moved by it, that it's natural?

M. Laitman: We'll learn about it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (06:45) What exactly is the problem, each has a house, if I didn’t have car to drive, what's the problem, it'll remain the same, everyone endures Communism. What's the difference, why should I worry about it? Each will have everything to eat in the supermarket, just about everything. I will be given to me, and I'll even have the confidence that my kids will have everything? It'll even make it easier for me.

M. Laitman: It's an appropriate question, correct, but we have to reach such a state. The fact that everybody has everything, and it will fill your lacks and desires, to such an extent, that you would want nothing more, and not for the future; rather, it'll all be felt as yours. We can see that it doesn't last long, like in the Kibbutzim, in any society.

Student: But the question is, why? Maybe it seems to me like that because I'm living in a generation of abundance. Maybe that's why it appears that way, that there's no problem with that? Maybe during the times of the Kibbutzim, there was a problem because not everyone had? I'm actually not managing to understand, what's the deficiency in such a state? It creates equality, it’s more equal to everyone, it doesn't bother me that I’m like everyone and everyone is like me. It also relieves concern from my heart, it's like what they want to do in communism. What is the problem with it, why would a person resist it?

M. Laitman: I don't think it relieves you from concern because it has to raise the level of concern, because you are concerned about everyone. And a person who has such a concern tries to observe it, to care in practice for everyone. Only in this way, he can hold on to this power that will sustain him in the future.

Student: That's more in spiritual work or it's also in simple corporeality?

M. Laitman: Also, in corporeality.

Student: We're living in a generation, like I'm a high-tech person, it's not so hard to sit in the office all these hours, if it's all I do during the day, some people even enjoy it. But it's seemingly not so difficult and we get all that we need.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What's the matter of being so concerned about giving to another? He simply does what the society tells him. They say, okay, you're a high-tech person, do that work, that's it, and you'll have all that you need for yourself.

M. Laitman: What's the difference between what you're saying and the society that Baal HaSulam is describing here?

Student: So, maybe I can't feel today, what does this society lose by being in that way, by being concerned with this?

M. Laitman: It loses connection with the Creator, that's the main thing, that's what they lack. Each one cares for the other, worries about the other, they have Arvut, mutual guarantee, seemingly. But they lack the main thing: They don't have the deficiency to be adhered to The Creator. How to bring them to such a lack?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (11:51) How is nationalization connected to the Creator? Why do we even need nationalization, why is it a stage on the way, this nationalization?

M. Laitman: Nationalization has to be so you would discover what is your goal in existence, in your existence in this society, specifically. Are you using nationalization as a form of help, salvation, spiritual salvation? Since then, you can express how you relate to it when this nationalization happens. What do you get out of it?

Student: I don't understand how not having my own assets helps me come closer to the Creator. I'll have a house of my own, and a car of my own, and a yard of my own, so what? That disconnects me from the Creator?

M. Laitman: It gives you confidence, security for tomorrow.

Student: And that's bad?

M. Laitman: It's not bad, if it's necessary, if it’s necessity, but if you're in a society, and it's adhered to the Creator. And that's your confidence, that's your security for everything.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (13:44) About the matter with the Kibbutz, we have a practical experience in this for about 50 years. And what happened is that at a certain point, it works for a while. Then at some point color TVs are invented and, now, you have to give color TVs to everyone in the Kibbutz, so, who will get it first? And I got 20”, I went to my neighbor, and he has 30”, and that's it. I'm not willing for that situation to be like that, you could truly feel it that way. But I think that the conclusion from it is that even though it's a TV, everyone sees it, they see the consumer culture around them, it's not in isolation. So, each person being disconnected, as long as one is not disconnected from this feeling, envy devours everything, even the common dining room and the children room that is common. My parents lived in the Kibbutz and when my big brother was born they left the Kibbutz. They weren't willing for the Kibbutz to raise their child and not them. So, I think these are the things that are very emotional things, it's not necessarily the money. It's also many very emotional things, that until that filling in a person is changed, I think that what he means, I think such a thing can't happen.

M. Laitman: So, how to make it work, nevertheless?

Student: So, we really need to come to a state where we have a higher filling as we learn, and then these materialistic fillings are not important; and the spiritual feeling, everyone is equal, it seems to me.

M. Laitman: Good, yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (15:38) I asked about these little numbers: If we do nationalization. It's written 8-1, I looked at 830 pages at 8-1 and it said: If we do nationalization prior to most of the public is ready for that. It's similar that one who gets rid of his, the word that he added here is, most of the public. And when we read it last time, we said nationalization, it's like a person who wants to reach bestowal. So, he writes, prior to the majority of the public being ready to come to such a deficiency that it'll have fuel for the work. Then we'll be able to reach bestowal. Let’s say if Bnei Baruch want to reach bestowal, we need such a deficiency that will be in the majority of Bnei Baruch. That's what I understood in this.

M. Laitman: Yes, okay.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:01) What is that sound basis and cause for fuel in the work that needs to be for us to be able to get to nationalization?

M. Laitman: We haven't scrutinized it, yet.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:25) If we look at the word prior, that something should happen here, and as they say, love your friend as yourself includes everything. So, if we have to come to a point where people or most of the people are ready for nationalization, it actually includes everything. And what is everything also? As far as I understand from what you told the friend, and what comes up in this scrutiny, it brings us back to say Chabakuk comes and puts them on one faith, meaning faith will give you everything. And this scrutiny shows it because the feeling here is that these things are clear, what a minute, so what is the majority and how do I give to these technical matters? Then the question rises, right away, "If it's not 20”, it's 30”. So, what will give me that force? But if we're talking about the last generation, things that are seemingly close to us. But the most important thing is to come to that faith because faith will enable it all. So, maybe that's what kind of brings us there.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (18:41) I just want to share from an experience we had in the group. It was 24 years ago exactly, at the end of June 2000. We went, as we were looking for a settlement that we wanted to put together, we went to a religious Kibbutz.

M. Laitman: In the North?

Student: No, it was actually in the south, it was a religious Kibbutz in the south, it was towards the end of our searches. I remember that we talked with them, and we wanted to kind of merge into the Kibbutz, as a group. Why did they agree and wanted to receive us? Because they were living in fear. I remember that in every conversation with them, there's this feeling of fear. They had endless money, lots of money, they had chicken coops and assets, and they went through the crisis from the 80s. A lot of the Kibbutzim fell during that time, but they were successful. But they were always afraid that if something would happen, and we didn't have some kind of good economic planning, each of us would remain with great debt. And it was this feeling that really spirituality was certainly not there, but this codependency was a certain kind of failure, like from fear, not from something that gives confidence, truly the opposite of what needs to be. The very fact that we're dependent on one another and not with a spiritual goal. Truly, every conversation with one of their leaders there, the feeling was of pure fear of what will happen, what will happen, what will happen? we'll fall. That was truly what I remember from that meeting.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (20:34) It's exactly like the friend is describing, it's also friends from countries in South America that I talked about. What happened with countries that followed so-called Communist regimes and the country is truly crumbling. Just to hear about communism is already a person is afraid and is worried and is ready to leave the path. Because the very idea that we have to move to such a form because they see country after country. The moment communism enters, it crumbles, people don't even have what to live from. What can you say to such a friend that is so concerned just from reading such words, it really leads to this anxiety?

M. Laitman: They will feel on themselves what it means to build tomorrow without inner security, without Arvut, mutual guarantee. First, you need to attain a certain size, measure of mutual guarantee, Arvut, that will dwell among everyone. And that it would be without any tests, without any obligations. Rather it all stems from the heart, like in a family, and then you can assemble such a society.

Student: Another point that raises a lot of concern in people's hearts is the matter of religion, it's not clear this point of religion. That people came to us because they were running away from religion. And here each time he's repeating the word religion like this, religion like that. What does he mean, exactly?

M. Laitman: Religion is faith in the power of society. A society where everyone thinks in a certain direction has the power to overcome all the obstacles along the way because they come from the same source. They come in order to obligate society to rise more and more.

Student: But religions, as we see, don't necessarily raise up the society.

M. Laitman: No, here religion is, meaning the religion of communism or some communal or cooperative religion, means that in our cooperation we can build a certain future. It's the only future that will exist.

Student: What guarantees do I have that it will succeed this way? Here you talked about examples of this Kibbutz that you saw and as such. That in the name of mutual concern, they didn't necessarily succeed, on the contrary.

M. Laitman: The Arvut, mutual guarantee, is necessarily when we all went through the previous states, and we failed. And we saw that we can't exist in this way, it's not sustainable. And our whole existence depends on the connection between us.

Student: I’ll ask from the other side: We see that in this world, really, what is so wonderful to be concerned with losing, life is so difficult. Most people, people working so many hours and it's so difficult to just sustain oneself. This whole war has got some kind of regional war or nuclear war; and with that we're holding on to some, you know, kind of very despicable existence. Why are we so worried to give up the existence as it is, which is so lowly?

M. Laitman: The fear of death, of losing one's life, that's our nature.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (25:29) The friend’s first question points to the people who are studying the wisdom of Kabbalah with us today. And because we started to study The writings of The Last Generation, and the expression Communism is very dominant. They're saying, thank you very much, we're leaving the study of Kabbalah if Kabbalah aim us towards Communism? What's your opinion on such a thing, that people are leaving us because of talking about Communism?

M. Laitman: Of course, I'm against people leaving, maybe we shouldn't study it Or if we do study it, we should create definitions before the lesson each time and bring them to their true place. So, when we talk about Communism, it means total cooperation, sharing, communal life in a way that doesn't obligate anyone. But the society is in such a state where this communal sharing will provide a promise for today and for tomorrow, to each one and to everyone together. And it will be according to the justice that exists in each person's heart, and not that some will enjoy it, some will enjoy it less, some will not enjoy it at all, and so on and so forth. We'll all be in such a level of connection and understanding both between us and the upper force. So that the absorption in the upper force will provide such certainty and calm for tomorrow, for everybody.

Student: Let's say that this definition I just heard, right now, or what we're going to learn in another minute or two days ago, They don't calm me down, on the contrary, they pressure me. Let's say, it's written about nationalization, I have a home so they're saying your house won't be yours, it will belong to the state. Let's say this kind of talk in a format of Communism kind of stresses me. Do you recommend for me to relate to this as something that could cause my decision to stop studying the wisdom of Kabbalah if that's what it guides us to?

M. Laitman: We must, not that it's happening to us, but we have to understand that our entrance to communism, if we can say it, this new level of collaboration, and cooperation, and sharing will be an entrance that happens with everyone's consent. Because, otherwise, we don't think that it's sustainable, there is no rule of power here. But, specifically, a rule that educates people, softly, with understanding, how to make a person suitable for sharing, cooperation, communal life.

Student: So, to summarize what is your opinion about students who study Kabbalah with us, today? The friend gave examples from Latin America, or not Latin America, or anywhere else in the world, who, this whole study of the altruistic Communism, say, ok, be healthy with all your Communism or altruistic Communism, it’s not healthy for me. Are they doing a right move? Or, if such a phenomenon begins because it appears like it's beginning, already?

M. Laitman: Where does it start?

Student: The friend said that in Latin America people are stopping to study Kabbalah because they heard about communism. That's what he started with, gently.

M. Laitman: Who started this Communism? What's up with you?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:40) It's very clear, a country like Venezuela went in the direction of Communism and it's crumbling, people have nothing to live from. Other countries, they see how such a regime comes in that same direction, just talking about it already stresses people out. Just so that we won't be like Venezuela, that's, I'll say, the most practical way possible. It stresses people out the whole ideology and now the whole local politics is now. We'll be like them and all our economy, where is it going to go? Will I have what to live with tomorrow or will I be hungry like them? And there's like immigration of millions from Venezuela to all of South America because people don't have what to eat. People are going into the forests looking for food. And this is a result of so-called Communism. So, when I read about Communism, it's hard for me to understand what altruistic Communism, first egoistic Communism, what stages I need to go through all together in order to reach this Communism that Baal HaSulam is speaking about. And I even need to justify it somehow because I see people don't have anything to eat and the state is crumbling. So, when people hear such a thing, they say, this is not where I want to go. I'm working hard to be able to eat, and more than that, you want to nationalize everything for me? So, it's not clear these stages that we have to get there?

M. Laitman: So, it's our problem, we shouldn't study such texts and we must create an explanation action before that, an informative action, especially in such places. We have to think when is it possible to start opening things gradually, slowly. This new method that will replace the current method, the existing, the past one.

Student: Another thing to look at is this religious matter that we're talking about here: The word, religion, also there's all kinds of, so-called, physical actions in the direction, it's not clear what's religion, who for who, who is it for, who not? The organization is talking about and we're doing certain things. So, that also scares people who have suffered from religion.

M. Laitman: We need to proceed our study with all kinds of cautions that what we're studying is not something that we're going to apply, today or tomorrow. It's something that Kabbalists wrote about, a little bit here and there, about a future society. And when the time will come and we'll be able to perhaps approach a society of this nature, not more than that. It’s not that we’re starting now and let's start to divide the roles into our new Kibbutz, no, God forbid. That's why everybody, we think that it brings incorrect understanding, and we should leave it for a few years and then come back to it later. When we see it, these texts, later in a different form because they're not processed and they're not for studying and to apply.

Student: I think we can learn but, really, every step needs to be explained.

M. Laitman: It won't help so much, nevertheless, it would leave an impression that is undesirable. No, no, we won't study it and we won't talk about it. Let's go to different materials, and this part, The Last Generation, it's still way too early for us. That's what I'm thinking, okay?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (35:35) A friend is saying that in the other items, he's explaining more in the next items that come up, here.

M. Laitman: Okay but, nevertheless, each one has to sort it for himself, how much he's getting from it, how much he's not. And that we're studying it in a way that is not for practical application. No, I don't want to hear anything, I don't want to, do you hear me? Anybody want us to read something again? A little more? What?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (36:32) Specifically, this part, The Negative, that he's talking about, he’s talking about lack of Communism. Specifically, here, he's talking about how those people that are kind of moved in this way. Maybe all together to read The Last Generation from here, from the lacks so we understand where to go. Because, otherwise, it's really, maybe to read just a little, we haven't learned it for 20 years from Sitrin; a little to continue.

Reading: Item 2 (37:08) Public equality does not mean equalizing the level of the talented and successful to the level of the negligent and oppressed. This would completely ruin the public. Rather, it means allowing each person in the public a middle class standard of living. Thus, the negligent, too, will enjoy their lives as much the middle class.

Reading: Item 3 (37:47) The freedom of the individual must be kept if it is not harmful to the majority of the public. The detrimental ones must not be pitied and must be made harmless.

Reading: Item 4 (38:03) Current communism endures because of the idealists who lead it. They were idealists before they became communists. However, the second generation, when leaders are elected according to the views of the majority of the public, will gradually be repealed, assuming the form of Nazism or turning back to possessiveness. This is because nothing will stop them from exploiting other, negligent nations.

Reading: Item 5 (38:48) Egoistic communism holds no war preventing element, since the basis of all the wars is living territory, where each wants to build on the ruin of the other, whether justly, or because of envy that the other has more.

Communism based on “Let mine me mine” in a framework of equal division does nothing to remove the envy of the nations with each other, much less the nations’ lack of living space. It is also hopeless that the rich nations will give of their share to equalize with the poor because “Let mine be mine and let yours be yours” does not necessitate it. Only communism of “Let mine be yours and let yours be yours” will resolve it.

Reading: Item 6 (40:10) Even today we see that there is a global force that has overpowered and conquered all the communist countries, behaving there as in its own home, just as it was in ancient history in Greece and Rome, etc. There is no doubt that this force will split into pieces in the future, and we already have Tito [Josip Broz Tito]. When they split, they are certain to fight against each other, for how does Russia govern Czechoslovakia, or the others, if not by the sword and the spear?

Reading: Item 7 (41:05) In communism, employers strive to diminish the consumption of the workers and increase their productivity. In imperialism, the employers want, and act, to increase the consumption of the workers, and to equalize their productivity to consumption.

Reading: Item 8 (41:35) The class of rulers and supervisors will eventually create a sort of exile in Egypt over the working class since every worker leaves his or her surplus in the hands of the rulers, who take the greater part of it. Hence, they will not let any worker get away from them to another country. Thus, the workers will be caged, guarded like Israel in Pharaoh’s Egypt.

Reading: Item 9 (42:18) The ruling class is destined to finally put to death all the old and handicapped in the working class, arguing that they eat more than they produce, and they are parasites on the country. No one will die a natural death.

Reading: Item 10 (42:44) If communism spreads throughout the world, it will put to death every nation that eats more than it produces.

Reading: Item 11 (43:00) If the profiteers and the merchants become allotters, the buyers will become receivers of charity from the allotters, and the allotters will deal with them as they see fit, or as much as they are afraid of the inspectors.

M. Laitman: Okay, here he paints a picture that has to appear, rationally, as the result of forcefully applying the communist regime.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (43:58) First of all, I wanted to say to the friends from Latin America. First of all, I really understand them, I grew up in a Kibbutz and I ran away from there because I saw the lie. A friend was sharing about the period when we looked to be in a Kibbutz. I was really new when it began and when one day he was telling me that we are looking for a Kibbutz and we're going to move to a Kibbutz, I told him, thank you very much, good luck to you. Because I thought that really I've been in that story and I'm not going back to that, it doesn't work. And later, I did more thinking, and I understood that at the end of the day there's no other way to discover the Creator than this way. So, things may appear a little strange to me, and maybe I don't like some of them, but there is no other way. So, it's better to remain on the wagon, to join it, because from here we reach the goal. And I came back and we understood that a Kibbutz is the opportunity to build the Kibbutz and Communism, in the correct way. The way it's supposed to be and not the way it's being built by egoists, that's one thing. The second thing, when we read these readings, these writings, they may be uncomfortable and unpleasant sometimes, but you can see that Baal HaSulam is a man of truth.

The things that he wrote here, when he passed away in the 50s, you can see that they all were realized, and sadly, not in the best way. Just to see what he writes here in item 6, about Tito in Yugoslavia. He wrote, certainly they fought against each other, so people didn't understand and didn't see and in the 90s, it was terrible to see the war in Yugoslavia when it split. And what he wrote about Czechoslovakia, we saw what happened in 1968, and he simply wrote it because he understands the nature of man. So, I don't know, I always have this question about him writing here. You can see that it is all right, but it's being realized in a bad way. It's not written how we get there because, for the time being, it's all happening, but it's happening badly. The bad possibilities from what's happening here is what's being realized because humanity is not doing what it needs to. And it's not clear to me how you can take humanity in this positive direction, finally. Sorry for the length.

M. Laitman: Yes, that is all correct, all of it is correct.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (47:19) I wanted to say something for a second. To begin with, we even decided to study these writings. First of all, as a goal we put for ourselves that as long as you're with us, we want to go through all the source materials we have with you. Also, the writings of Rabash and also the writings of Baal HaSulam, out of an observation that only with you we'll be able to approach them, correctly, and open them correctly and not get confused. So, we finished articles from Rabash, now we entered his letters. And then we're going to continue with his handwritten notes that he wrote, what we call Volume 3, The Writings, and then we want to do the same with Baal HaSulam. From this point we now approached The Writings of the Last Generation, not with a goal of taking these writings and implement them practically between us. But to simply learn the principles of how Baal HaSulam sees things, and from that, to also hear from you and for us to have it as also in our archive, which we will at some point need. When we decide that we're ripe enough to go to it, we will be able to and for us to approach it, correctly, truly with your guidance and with the guidance of Baal HaSulam, that's it.

And all in all, we are now in our society in a process of wanting to be more united, to build a society, a vision for how we're building ourselves forward; how we're becoming more independent. So, from this whole drive, this movement, we said, let's try to study these writings. Now, if we will see that there's not enough ripeness on our behalf, we'll put it aside. Just, simply, we saw an opportunity that we can try, it's from that that we decided to go for it.

M. Laitman: Yes that's more correct, this attitude.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (49:37) Yesterday, a friend shared very nicely how it was in the spirit of the period that Baal HaSulam wrote about it. That's what was being talked about in the newspapers. It could be that if Baal HaSulam was living, today, where communism is this really despicable word and people are afraid to even use it, then maybe he wouldn't have used that. Could there be that a Kabbalist writes a certain writing? Just like that, if he was living today, maybe he would say it's not relevant. Back then it was correct, today it's already not connected to where we are?

M. Laitman: It's certain that it wasn't relevant, already, back then but we saw that they tried to do it and failed. That's why it can't be realized, couldn’t be realized, it can't be realized, and in our time, even more.

Student: The question is whether it can be that a Kabbalist writes something and a few generations later, it's not right to deal with it because humanity has been through a certain stage?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's true. I think this is the case.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (51:02) We can see how this point of exiting towards this action is the big difference. When they built this Communism, it was done by egoists who wanted to find a new way to exploit reality. So, they took something good, they clothed in something, seemingly, good and used it to swindle people and mislead them in order to exploit them in how terrible of a thing it created. Compare that with how we see people who learn, who study, who want to reach true bestowal that includes the upper force. As he says, a religion that makes the upper force a Ruler, it should take a different form altogether, it should bring the good form. And here we see that the intention of where we want to build it, that changes reality from one side to the other, a hundred percent.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (51:22) I see black over white, that it's against Communism, I don't know what they're translating for the Spanish language. But it's written here, why is he against it, and explain in that there are stages. People have to be in attainment, there has to be public opinion, all kinds of conditions, why did it fail? I don't understand what the problem is? The realization would be two hundred years, I don't know, when the majority of the public would be in attainment. I think on the other way around, it reinforces it. And here I have a question where I didn't understand in the beginning when we talked about nationalization of property. If I understood, correctly, he explained how is that connected to spiritual attainment, to the revelation of the upper force, what do we have to do with it? And you said that a person would not have confidence, security. Why is this expression of nationalization of property a stage or something on the way to revealing the upper force? A person would have no confidence, no sense of security, if he has no property of his own?

M. Laitman: For him to be lacking confidence.

Student: Lack of confidence, security, he'll be dependent on others?

M. Laitman: He'll be dependent on others, he'll have no confidence, so he'll be worried about what will be tomorrow and live.

Student: And with confidence in the upper force?

M. Laitman: Yes, only.

Student: Because a person has a lot of property, he trusts himself. And as a friend said, if I have no property, I trust others, I depend on them. So that's what he meant?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's correct.

Student: People talk about religion, they're afraid of it and okay, we explained it in a thousand places, the religion of bestowal. We talk about Rabash, it's all Torah and Mitzvot, there's not a single article without it. If we're talking about Rabash, it's everything. Aside from a few articles about Baal HaSulam, everything is religion, it should be clear and also how we look. And as the friend said, I'm asking not to stop it, because we have no one who will be able to explain to us later. Maybe we should explain a thousand times that it's not for application, maybe in two hundred years' time, I don't know how long it's going to take. And we would later be able to open it up, maybe not us, the next generations and there will be an explanation. And you take one verse here, and we discuss it for an hour, it's material that we can work with later. Otherwise, we won't be able to open it up.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (55:16) Even in the first lesson, when they teach new students. They say, you see the words Torah, Mitzvot, no connection to what you think. We really need to break all the blocks we have in our heads with all these words. Maybe if we would have read the text and instead of Communism, it would have been written everywhere in a social society, then we wouldn't have had to make guidelines and we would have been able to read it more easily.

M. Laitman: Okay.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (56:35) You see, Baal HaSulam wrote music to unite people, something that's not ours even, but here, he uses an old term that creates rejection of people. And he insists on using this word, it's opposite but there's a reason, there's a meaning for it?

M. Laitman: He wants to bring people to the correct understanding. We use from generation to generation, with a dictionary of the previous generations but we give these words new descriptions and flavors, the same here.

Student: I saw in Russia, after Communism, I saw simple people, not those who wanted freedom, but they didn't get it. They have this mitigation, a sweetness, a sweet memory from it. They felt something good, and they want it to some extent, they felt. I don't know why but they felt an attraction to it.

M. Laitman: Okay, good.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (57:56) I want to ask about the content, if I may. A minute before, I'll say that too. I remember a very strong impression, we had a Congress in Ben Gurion and one person from the religious Zionists came and said, Baal HaSulam is his teacher. In other words, he was able to clothe in every public that he wanted to write to and enter, or at least try, make an effort to enter it in a way that the public can digest it. Whether it's removing holy words completely, like in The Nation, and saying things like the earth was created 14 billion years ago, deliberately. When I spoke to Ben Gurion, nobody wanted to build a correct society, the majority was not in the Kibbutz. They just wanted to raise money, the idea was to create a nation, but it was a brand that everybody used. Then he wrote to the Orthodox in their language and he wrote to the national religious, the Arvut, the Giving of the Torah that was for them. He tried to find an attitude, a way into each society, the Israeli public in order to speak in a language that's easy to digest and interesting to them, that's a prism. Of course, when a person sees a red flag, it's a red flag, it's a Torah Mitzvot, that's what it is, it's a red flag. I don't know how to overcome it, but I look at it from the side. What kind of an example it is from our teacher that he's able to go down on his knees and speak to every person, public, so they would hear just a word of what he's trying to say. And that's a beautiful example, and how professionally he delves into each area in order to use the concept that suits that secular person cannot hear something else and that national religious person to write about a society that combines Torah and Mitzvot. And someone who looks for the wisdom of Kabbalah, and that to me, is the big lesson here, when we go over all the texts. When I really worked on it, I could see, he says here, this I expand on in a great composition of 2000 pages long, and he talks about TES. So, you see the discussion about the Partzufim and Sefirot and TES as it translates it to a Marxist or Hegelian language. And that was amazing, and he comes down to the wisdom of, you know, people that you know, have nothing to do with spirituality.

And nevertheless, he still studies it in order to serve it to people. For example, for a Kabbalist who builds a foundation that fits the generation, and that's what the example. It is not working, you know, Communism like this, or Tito did that, or I have to nationalize my property, it's not it's not the conversation. And now a question about content: First time in the text that I saw an egoistic relation to something very nice. I look on the level of the public that it is not to give everybody more or less, but to let everyone get the life of a middle class. I think everybody would sign up for living like the middle class. It promises to everyone except for those who have a lot, most of the public would sign off on that, immediately. The other thing is that the freedom of the individual should be protected, it's not classic Communism. These things are confusing because they appeal to a person. You promised to me that no matter what will happen, I have life on the level of the middle class, and no matter what, my privacy is not going to be harmed unless I harm society. How is that clothed in a spiritual discussion where a person lives in a society where disconnects from his ego? These two things clothed really well in the person's ego.

M. Laitman: I have nothing to add, that's correct, that's correct.

Student: But it's like a different form of conversation. Before that he spoke about spiritual attainment, he spoke about a person having the volumes of the society. And here he writes in an egoistic language, everyone is ready to sign off on that. Is this also part of dissemination and trying to reach people? And that's why he wrote it this way or there's something else here?

M. Laitman: There's the degree that precedes what he wants but that's how he understands it. It's how he understands that, that's how he has to turn to them.

Question (Latin 7): (01:03:14) I want to express that, on behalf of Latin 7, we're very proud to be and very happy to be, and very excited to be able to work with the articles of Baal HaSulam of The Last Generation. We understand that, for the first time, very concretely, we are birthing, or rather Bnei Baruch is reviving or enlivening the beginning of the last generation. On the other hand, we truly see what the friend said, this reality here is a very sad one. I see two approaches, and I use what the friend said, there are students who see, clearly, it’s very clear to them. Religion is bestowal, and Communism is also life in bestowal and others who are repulsed by it naturally. And it's not a matter of translation, I offer humbly, that we don't stop to study, to learn this article, The Last Generation of Baal HaSulam. But, yes, to make definitions, and here Kabbalah Media really helps us. There are a series of Baal HaSulam, a series of lessons we can start with a set of definitions. But anyone reading will know how to relate to this study, it's really important to us as students of Baal HaSulam and students of Kabbalah to get to know these texts. And we are thankful for the kindness and generosity of you and the friends for the translations and the definitions that they gave it not only to us as students, but also for the rest of humanity.
