7. RABASH, Article No. 3 (1991), “What Is, ‘The Wicked Will Prepare and the Righteous Will Wear,’ in the Work?”

Reading: (00:20) A person should be careful during the descent, and think about who is giving him the descents. If he believes that the Creator has given him the descent, then he is already close to the Creator, according to the famous rule, “In the place where a person thinks, there he is.” Hence, when he thinks that the Creator has given him the descent, he already has contact with the Creator.

If he believes in this, this faith, when he thinks about the Creator, that connection can lift him from the state of descent. But if a person thinks about himself, that he is in a descent, then he is in a descent together with his body, since he is attached to the descending person and does not think of the Creator, and no longer has any connection with the Creator.

M. Laitman: We will read it again.

M. Laitman: Questions?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (03:16) How does a person collect around him such forces of preparation so that during the descent he is adhered to the Creator? Because it always comes from a new state, a different direction that he can't predict. So, how does he prepare himself to be adhered to Him at any state?

M. Laitman: So, he's not only connecting himself only with the Creator, but first of all, he sees the place where he is in society. Then, from that place that he is in society, he reaches a sum of forces from the friends, and first of all, with them, he can establish a place where He is. After that, he can also rise to his own private state.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (04:39) You ended the first part of the lesson telling us how important it is to take the forces that exist in society now. And it pertains to this excerpt. How, especially now, do we give and receive strength in the society? Not only receive but also give. There are friends who are in a state where they can give, and some friends need to receive. How do we maintain the balance so we incorporate with a special force that exists in society?

M. Laitman: We need to recognize which forces in society are working today compared to yesterday, compared to tomorrow, how we, with those forces, can move towards a more central place in society. And in this way, we'll try to reach a state where the center of society will always be a place that's pulling us. That's all.

Student: Yesterday, we published something you said a long time ago, but it's something we always… We circulated it in the Ten. About how to take the…how do we take the opportunity we have now and not disregard it, not miss out on it but to take it. We read something you received from Rabash about taking opportunities that we have in the society, because there's a special opportunity now. So, how do we take it with both hands? You even said in the first part of the lesson that we've come to learn the new state we're entering in this coming congress. How do we take it?

M. Laitman: We only need to be willing for a connection between us. Willing for that connection. And the congress brings us a fish in the net. That's what's important to us.

Student: It doesn't seem thin, it seems very big in the net. And so, the net doesn't tear and we lose the fish. How important is to keep the net strong so we don't let this state slip between our hands?

M. Laitman: We can't come out of the connection, of the social connection. That's the main thing. Our social connection must be very strong. And then, for sure, we will succeed.

Student: The social connection means our commitment to society?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And we understand its elements, foundations, and go with it all the way?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (08:47) I'm asking about the power in society. Baal HaSulam called it 600,000 loyal lovers in the previous hour. I have to embrace with this force of 600,000 loyal lovers. At one time, I need to be loved by them, and another time I need to be the lover. In our society, it's not customary to say, this friend needs the help of the society, let's activate it for him. How can we translate? Playing with the force of Arvut so we dedicate a prayer for a friend and get it from them when we need it. How do we do this? During the day, in the Ten, or in the society?

M. Laitman: Only in thought.

Student: But it's not customary to say, let's think about this friend, he needs the power of Arvut. We don't say these things. I know that there are women's groups who do have a list of people, and they sit and pray for these people, either about a men's group, or a person, or a sick person, each one with his problem. As men, we don't take advantage of this power of our love during the day for this. It's something obscure.

M. Laitman: Everything is obscure for us. That's why I don't understand you.

Student: During the day, I want to be part of those loyal lovers. I need to know who I worry about. There's a guy who needs the power of 600,000. I want to pray for him. I want to be among those who give him the responsibility, but I can't do it because I don't know he needs me. The power of Arvut. And if I need to be loved by the 600,000 loyal lovers, it's not customary to say it in the society, and the society cannot embrace me. How do we do it? How do we exercise, how do we practice conduct with this huge force?

M. Laitman: By connecting. We, us, and except for that, we pray to the Creator that will help us connect between us. And in this way, He will awaken His force to work on us.

Student: In a corrected state, how does a nation know when to look at a specific person?

M. Laitman: A person?

Student: A person that needs the power of Arvut. The power of mutual responsibility. How does a nation know when to lend a hand to a person who needs an embrace right now? What's the mechanism? How does it know who needs the connection of mutual responsibility?

M. Laitman: I do not know. I don't know. I think that we need to connect in order to feel who among us needs more to help him and work in that way.

8. RABASH, Article No. 17 (1986), "The Agenda of the Assembly-2"

Reading: (13:41) Before one obtains some illumination from above by himself, he should seek out like-minded people who are also seeking to enhance the importance of any contact with the Creator in whatever way. And when many people support it, everyone can receive assistance from his friend.

We should know that “Two is the least plural.” This means that if two friends sit together and contemplate how to enhance the importance of the Creator, they already have the strength to receive enhancement of the greatness of the Creator in the form of awakening from below. And for this act, the awakening from above follows, and they begin to have some sensation of the greatness of the Creator.

According to what is written, “In the multitude of people is the King's glory,” it follows that the greater the number of the collective, the more effective is the power of the collective. In other words, they produce a stronger atmosphere of greatness and importance of the Creator.

M. Laitman: Questions?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (15:36) How can we raise the importance of the Creator between friends? How can we raise the importance of the Creator between friends?

M. Laitman: By discussing it between us. We don't have any other opportunities to connect between us with some kind of forces.

Student: Sometimes it feels very intimate to talk about the Creator, to talk about my relationship with the Creator. So, how should we talk with the friends about this very intimate relation to the Creator?

M. Laitman: I didn't hear you right.

Student: Sometimes that relationship with the Creator is very intimate. What's the right way to speak with the friends about that very intimate feeling of a person's relationship with the Creator?

M. Laitman: I don't know, but I think to the same extent of maybe sensitivity that you relate to the Creator and His relation in society, with that same force and that same relation, you can be connected to Him.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:51) Maybe to accentuate the friend’s question.On the one hand you said to receive the greatness of the Creator, we have to talk among ourselves. On the other hand, it's very intimate. So, how do we talk about it among ourselves when it's such an intimate thing?

M. Laitman: I don't know what to add except for what I said. That from us wanting to open the Creator's relation to us and bring Him closer to us, we also need to give him a place in our hearts and to open our heart to what we'll be able to hear. That's how it works.

Student: And a part of the work each of us does within, can we share it with the friends in order to give them the greatness that we've attained?

M. Laitman: I think so.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (19:41) He writes, two is the least plural.Meaning, if two friends sit together and contemplate how to increase the importance of the Creator, they already have the strength to receive great increase of the importance of the Creator. Two desires to receive are naturally contradictory. What is this thing of sitting together? Two people who are contradictory, and they think how to increase the importance of the Creator. Two people who are opposites toward a third party.

M. Laitman: They both agree that in order to find the Creator, they have to find the point of unity between them.

Student: The unity between them?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: That the greatness of the Creator is between them?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Each of them relates from its own opposite point, perspective, to something that is between them.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How do we connect them because they are two completely opposite perspectives? And each one sees the center from a different place.

M. Laitman: That's correct. But if we relate to what's revealed to them, then we'll see that the opposite form of the relation between them is exactly directed towards the Creator.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (22:07) How to soften my heart in order to receive from the friend the greatness of the Creator?

M. Laitman: To soften your heart. Try to bring the Creator towards you. As if He does it all. He Stabilizes all of this, serves you with it. You just, each one has to discover his relation towards the Creator.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (23:03) I've always wanted to ask you this. You give us greatness of the Creator with everything you do. But I always wanted to hear from you about this specific matter. How great is the Creator?

M. Laitman: How great? As much as you can locate, or depict, as much as you can depict Him, then He becomes even greater.

Student: Can you share with us what you feel about the greatness of the Creator?

M. Laitman: To the extent that you can depict the Creator to yourself, depict that after you reach that feeling, the Creator is even greater.

9. RABASH, Article No. 18 (1986), “Who Causes the Prayer”.

Reading: (24:57) One must believe in private Providence—that it was not the person who called upon the Creator, but the Creator who called upon the person and told him, “I want you to speak to Me.” It follows that the reason for the nearing did not come from the individual but from the Creator. For this reason, one mustn’t think that the Creator did not hear the prayer. Rather, He brought him near even before he turned to the Creator to bring him near Him.

This is called, “Before they call, I will answer.”

M. Laitman: Can you read it again? Should he read it again?

M. Laitman: Does anyone want to ask a question?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (27:18) A person speaks, the Creator speaks to a person through the Ten. And that's the most precise speaking we learn. There are many communication channels, but the main channel is through the Ten. That's what we learn. How do we listen to the Creator? Through the Ten, Through the friends. How do we open our ears? What can you recommend?

M. Laitman: Try and connect to Him in the state that you adhere to the Ten. Then you will hear. Maybe you'll discover Him.

Student: Sometimes every individual in the Ten sees general things that are happening in the Ten. What does that mean with respect to how the Creator speaks to him?

M. Laitman: He hears. Or, he doesn't hear.

Student: When does he hear? When does the Creator speak to him through the Ten? Sorry for repeating myself. In what situations does the Creator speak to a person through his friends?

M. Laitman: When a person searches how to reach a state where he can talk to the Creator, meaning come closer to the Creator, talking to him, then he feels that he's lacking a language. Then he enters that feeling with a friend. Well, I can't say. Well, who can? Who thinks he can? What's that?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:28) Maybe they can add to one another. That's how he enters some kind of... as one heart.

M. Laitman: Okay.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:45) Well, first we were talking about another channel of communication, which is central. And this is what I wanted to ask. The Creator speaks through the Ten, you said, to the extent that a person wants to hear the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What is that channel of communication called the woman? How does the Creator talk to you through the woman, your wife and the husband? What is this channel of communication?

M. Laitman: It's the Creator speaking with a person in another way. And here what's important is whether or not a person attributes importance to it. And he needs to position himself with respect to the Creator with a certain approach, meaning not disregard it, slight it, and not turn it into something important, but rather to attribute importance to it in an emotional way, in his feelings. And this is how he adds to what he feels from the Creator.

Student: What comes from your wife to give it importance, that it's the Creator speaking in a certain type of style?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And what is he telling us through the teacher? It's like another channel of communication.

M. Laitman: Through the teacher, that's something else already. It is the Creator opening himself on the channel of his greatness, the channel of his greatness. And this is how He becomes revealed.

Student: It feels through the teacher, it feels this channel is very open much more than if, let's say, compare it through your wife.

M. Laitman: Yes, that's true.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (33:46) I want to ask about, before they call, I answer. It's like the Creator is a million steps ahead, sitting in the world of Ein Sof, of infinity, and sending some… shakens us up a bit from that far exalted place He's in. He like tickles us, and we feel it through all the worlds like a hurting blow. So, how can we hold on to this correct correction He's sending us through this incredible distance between the Creator and the created being in the right way? It's so distant, it's so high above a person. That same embrace, that same tickle, that same pleasant thing the Creator wants to send us and communicate with us. Usually we don't feel it as something pleasant, not correctly. So, some advice.

M. Laitman: Advice, to be in the same vessels, the vessels of bestowal like the Creator. Then you will feel it as good.

Student: I’ll try to implement it. Thank you.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (35:32) Rabash writes in Shamati 1, “None else Besides Him,” which means that nothing in the world will have the ability to go against Him. I think this sentence, that first sentence, summarizes all the questions of how to see the Creator in the Ten. To just see the sentence every time.

M. Laitman: More questions.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (36:14) What's the difference between a person hearing the Creator through the Ten or not through the Ten? Is there such a reality to hear the Creator not through the Ten, not through the friends?

M. Laitman: There is.

Student: What's the difference?

M. Laitman: Open your ear to the birds.

Student: I don't understand.

M. Laitman: And you'll see how they speak to you.

Student: What am I supposed to, I can hear them sing, what should I understand through them?

M. Laitman: Then you'll understand.

Student: What do I want to hear from them?

M. Laitman: I don't know what you want to hear, but you will hear what the Creator wants to bring you.

Student: I need these birds in order to hear Him, or He can sound whatever he wants to through me without the birds.

M. Laitman: This is also his way to communicate with you.

Student: So, what's special about hearing the Creator through the Ten? Because He can turn to me through the still, vegetative, animate, everything. But what's important or special in hearing the Creator through the Ten? What's in there?

M. Laitman: There, there is His voice. A voice which comes out from Ten Sefirot, and reaches you, and dresses in your own Ten Sefirot, and moves you, brings you to understand what He wants to say.

Student: And in a different way you hear it less, it's not as focused, meaning not through the Ten, in His way.

M. Laitman: Yes, through the Ten, it's the most correct way.

Student: He wrote in what we read that a person has to believe that it's not him calling the Creator, but the Creator is calling him constantly, the Creator is turning to him. And a person has to be careful that during a descent to connect it to the Creator, that it's coming from Him and not his own descent.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, where is the person's responsibility? Because the Creator is doing everything.

M. Laitman: For the time being he has no responsibility. For the time being he hasn't done anything, the person.

Student: So, for now, it's just to agree that the Creator is doing everything upon him?

M. Laitman: No, now he has to respond.

Student: What to respond? What is the response?

M. Laitman: I don't know what the person's response is for what the Creator tells him, but this already pertains to a person's response.

Student: What response? Should it be instinctive or really calculated?

M. Laitman: It all depends on the person. What do you want from me? How can I tell you now? Let's say it's an instinctive response.

Student: So then, what's the responsibility? If the Creator is doing everything upon him, also his response to the Creator comes from the Creator. Because he can't take anything upon himself.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So what's the person's responsibility in this system?

M. Laitman: Why are you talking about responsibility?

Student: Because from my own nature, I'm taking things upon myself. I feel that I'm on a descent. I guess I did something wrong. I'm taking it on myself. I'm not gluing it to the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Because I feel some responsibility in me. So I'm asking, how to pass the responsibility to the Creator. What is a person expected if the Creator does everything?

M. Laitman: What is expected from a person is to connect to the Creator through this. Through anything he receives from the outside, he should know that he is connected to the Creator.

M. Laitman: And it's counted on the Creator, not on the person.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (40:50) The Creator calls a person before he prays. And we were speaking about the boat or the net that catches the fish. If we talk about a Ten, there are times that a person sees that the Ten is in a descent, just like fallen. That also comes from the Creator, that form he sees.

M. Laitman: Of course.

Student: So, what's a person's role? The Creator awakens him to prayer. He also gives him forms through the Arvut, through the connection in the Ten that he needs to transform himself towards prayer?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: This is where a person has choice or some place to work?

M. Laitman: A place to work is when he wants to discover the Creator in all the forces that operate on him.

Student: What if I see some flaw in the Ten right now that's taking place? So, first I have to say that this depiction came from the Creator. If I try and correct it with my hands, things in the Ten, with my forces, it's like I'm missing out on something.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (42:31) When the friend asked how a person, a Creator speaks to a person through the Ten or the rest of the things. Maybe a friend from the Ten screamed at me, or somebody on the road screamed at me. So, what's those two languages? Why do I need anything but the Ten, the rest of the world?

M. Laitman: Besides this, besides this, you also have a whole lot. Many more turning from the Creator to you.

Student: That's the right path to develop for a person is the Ten. Why does he need all other things?

M. Laitman: This you need to ask the Creator.

Student: So what's my relation now? What's the right way? If a friend screamed at me, okay, I have to, annul, this is at work. Why are other people screaming at me on the road and other things? What is that for?

M. Laitman: In order for you to be confused, this is what happens. What do you want from me?
