Towards the summer Coca Cola is coming out with a new campaign, where they're going to give rewards for volunteering. Isn’t it beautiful? It shows that there is a broader understanding that volunteering and mutual help is something that we really need in society. If governments have failed to lead us toward a positive change, then maybe commercial companies can. How does a Kabbalist view this trend? It is a smart move that benefits them. In the future, when you'll hear the name “Coca Cola” you'll have a nice and warm attitude toward their products. Obviously, this campaign will promote Coca Cola's public image. When commercial companies pursue their own economic interests and also promote social values, doesn’t it benefit our society as a whole? Fine, but to a Kabbalist it seems that it's good only for those who are doing this business. I haven't seen that these campaigns could change human nature. Man is an egoist, and in every moment he wants to gain and benefit. And if he feels that, he is all set to be a sucker. So Coca Cola comes along and says, ""You wanna get a benefit? Great, volunteer in your community."" Although we're tamed to be better toward others, I doubt it'll make us any better because there's no educational value to it. An action brings a transformative educational value only when our society appreciates it. When a society sends a clear signal: ""this person did this and that, and he got such and such a prize,"" - then the engine of envy starts working. Envy moves everything. Then I could tell my son, ""Look at so-and-so now. You could’ve done that too.” In the same vein what would be a prize or a benefit that would resonate with a teenager? As a Kabbalist, I teach you how to attain anything that you want. Eternal life is our biggest prize. What am I living for? What is the meaning of life? What will happen in a thousand years? What will happen in a million years? What will happen today and what will happen tomorrow? You can know and attain all these things. You can know, see and receive everything. Everything is open. Just invest a bit in opening your heart and opening your ear, and then you will get far greater things than what you can even dream of.
